It was a cool afternoon. Antonia had been looking forward to seeing her friends after school. She looked at her phone to see that her friends had messaged her that she was outside. She then ran down the stairs and opened the door to see the car parked outside. She smiled at her friends as she hadn't seen them in years and crawled into the back seat. Mal had decided to carpool part of the group as they were on their way to the arcade. "Hey doll face," Roy scooted over to leave the girl some space. "Roy, get out the seat so she can sit in the middle." Garth smiled at Antonia as he gently elbowed his friend. "You expect me to get out and walk around the car? You let her in, so you should've gotten out when she came." Antonia sat awkwardly against the car door and listened to the two argue back and forth. Roy elbowed Garth back and gave him a nasty look, "This is why we can't have nice things. You want everything to be your way and get upset when it doesn't happen." Garth pushed him against the other side and replied, "What do you mean my way? You need to get out so she can be in the middle!" Roy rolled his eyes hesitating to get out. Karen turned to the back seat and looked at the boys. "Oh my God. You guys are ridiculous. Can't y'all do anything without complaining?" She smacked her lips and Antonia began to giggle. It was certainly amusing to see the two get upset over the seat. Antonia then opened the door and tapped Garth on the shoulder. Without saying a word, she got out and waved her hand for Garth to follow. The boy slightly blushed and slowly began moving. "See what you did Garth! You made Toni uncomfortable and move. That was your job!" The two continued to argue as he got back in the car. Mal looked at them through the mirror and sighed. "Can you two stop arguing while we ride over to the arcade?"
"I said you were supposed to exit here," scorning at her boyfriend, Jiya was currently tired as Wally had missed the highway twice. "Oopsie!" Donna didn't look up from her phone as she was currently trying to complete a homework assignment, she was in a state of focus. Isaiah looked at the couple awkwardly as he felt uncomfortable with their frequent bickering. He looked over to Donna and pondered on the idea of Antonia's relationship with Samuel. Thinking that a friend of his could possibly be messing around with a person with no good intentions, He knew if he had asked her why she chose him, she might get upset. He softly leaned his head back against the headrest and closed his eyes. He was still thinking about their interaction at lunch today. He thought about the way she continuously tagged on to his conversation. They were just talking after all, yet he couldn't stop thinking about the way she spoke to him. Her rather sarcastic tone was soft and peppy, just as when the first became friends. He couldn't stop thinking about the way she had now made new friends. Friends that they had warned her about. It was so much to think about but then again it was only Tuesday. So much can change in a matter of a few days. He found it hard to stay optimistic, that was something he needed to work on.
The group arrived getting a good reaction out of Garth and Roy. The building had many bright neon lights, inviting people of all ages to come in. Getting out of the car, Antonia looked over to see that the parking lot was getting packed quickly. "Hey, Victor says they're inside already. Let's all go in." Karen grabbed onto Mal and he wrapped his arms around her shoulder. They decided to wear matching outfits which Antonia thought were very cute. She had on a gray lacy long-sleeve blouse, bell-bottom black pants and beat-up gray Converse. Donna had opened the door for them and smiled. She waved and hugged everyone, especially giving the goth a tight squeeze. It seemed that things calmed down after the issues between her and Donna. The two girls talked about their concerns and Donna was just worried about the goth becoming friends with Jade. However, the girl was no longer seen at school. It was rumored that she was suspended again but when Angelita came by her place, the house was desolate. She had reported it to the school, but it was made as if the girl never existed. The problem had resolved itself. Jiya laughed lightly at the girls, "Toni, do you have a secret spy camera or something? We always seem to be matching." Her mouth opened at her claim and began chuckling. The two girls continually made inappropriate jokes with each other until it was their turn in line to buy their wristbands.
"Dude! It's your turn go!" Garfield was waiting for Wally to make his turn to bowl next but as always, he was distracted looking at the food menu. He gave a startled expression and made his way to the racks. He grinned widely, gripping the bowling ball hard, making a pose to ensure a strike. Unfortunately, due to him gripping to hard, the ball wasn't released and stuck to his fingers. "Gahh!" His thumb made a loud popping noise and it was let go. The group laughed and he tried to play it off as being goofy. He tried once again gripping the ball a bit less. He swung his arm back and threw it right in the gutter. Jiya giggled at him and sighed, "Way to go, babe!" On his second turn he then again gripped the ball again hard and swung hard. The ball bounced off the lane and jumped in the next lane. The group that was in the next section looked over to Wally with an annoyed expression as it ruined their own game. His friends laughedand Jiya got up to do his round for him. Garfield sat next to the girls and wiggled his eyebrows, "You ladies want anything. It's on me." "You can leave us alone," Rachel looked at him, giving little to no expression. He laughed and put his arm around her, "Turn that frown upside down." Rolling her eyes, she shrugged him off and scooted away from him. Garfield jokingly narrowed his eyes at her before Victor interrupted. "Does anyone wanna share the barbeque nachos?" A few of them nodded and responded, the employee nodded taking their notepad back to the kitchen. Antonia laughed at her friends who were completely missing the bowling pins. She honestly wasn't doing any better but it's fun when nobody is good at the game. The experience couldn't be complete without ordering a milkshake. Antonia was very happy at the moment spending quality time with her friends.
After a while, their session was up, and they headed to the arcade section. Some of the group already was there after giving up on bowling trying to collect tickets. "I don't understand?" Kori looked at the giant pile of tickets she had collected. She looked at the items on the shelf, shaking her head in disbelief, "I spent approximately $45 on these tickets, yes? Am I going to give you the pile I earned to get an award that cost much less than this?" The desk server was currently confused in the first place by how one person could obtain so many tickets. Richard tried to think of a way to explain it better to his girlfriend. Kori turned around giving him large puppy eyes. "Did I waste my money just to receive a small trinket in return?" The boy began to form a sentence but was worried that Kori would cry. The desk server let out a sigh giving up on his patience. "So do you want the caterpillar toy or not?" She looked and the plush creature, admiring its odd features. It was a rather ugly-looking plush, pale pink color, weird eyes, and a wide mouth. To Kori, it was the cutest thing she had ever seen. She handed the boy the tickets and in return the pink caterpillar was put on the glass counter. It had looked like the one she had seen at the mall a while ago and read the tag. SILK MOTH. Turning around she held the plush and Richard showed no expression. He didn't want to engage his girlfriend in a conversation if she didn't want to but kept his eyes on her.
Nicole smiled holding up the photo strip and pointing at it. "Aww," The girl was showing off the photo strip that she and Joseph just took from the booth. "It's so cute because it came with the little gummy bear filters and smiley faces!" The goth grabbed the item from her friend and smiled looking down. "This is so bloody adorable. I love this." Antonia was so happy to see that Nicole was experiencing the relationship she deserved. She grinned grabbing it back and turned to Joseph gasping loudly "We should take a set too! Toni, get in the booth with us!" She grabbed her by the arm and she giggled. "We're taking a photo?" Wally overheard their conversation and decided to also drag his girlfriend along. Soon a few of them were inside the booth cramped together. They all laughed and tried to take decent photos without moving too much. After a solid ten minutes of moving around each other, they were all done. "Okay everyone get out!" Jiya held on to her boyfriend giving him a mischievous smile. Wally began to blush as he stayed back with her. Fortunately, there was another booth that the teens could also use. Garfield looked inside seeing the photo options. "Umm… this one is boring, it doesn't have any good filters." Rachel looked into the booth and paused, "I like this one since there won't be ridiculous little animals on the photos." Garfield nodded in agreement contradicting what he had just said. Richards smiled lightly elbowing Victor, "We should take a group photo." The five agreed and tried to fit into the frame.
"Did you see the Elvira pinball machine? I bet you played on it several times!" Isaiah enthusiastically started a conversation with the girl and her eyes widened. "They really got that here? Woah, that is killer." He smiled at her and asked her how she had been doing since the last time they got to hang out. They then noticed Wally and Jiya walking out of the booth, both red faces. Wally was panting heavily, holding her hand, looking at the ground as she walked beside him with a smug expression. Isaiah raised his eyebrows, and the goth couldn't contain her laugher. She thought it was quite obvious what happened in the booth turning to Isaiah and gossiping to him about some stories that Jiya had shared with her. He then noticed that both of the booths were empty and began to hesitate to continue the conversation. He looked over at their friends before finally mustering up the courage. He kindly waited for her to finish what she was saying before taking a deep breath, "Do you want to take a photo with me?" She nodded and smiled, "I saw ya' looking over there a few times and figured you wanted to." As they then got into the booth, Isaiah put in the dollar bills to get the machine going. Antonia got close to the boy and leaned in to be centered in the frame, Isaiah began to feel his heart race. "I should tell her how I feel now. Even though she's talking to Samuel, maybe she'll change her mind." After getting a couple of sets of silly photos, they looked directly ateach other and smiled. "You're such a good friend Isaiah." A hammer shattered his glass heart breaking it down into small pieces. She leaned in and hugged the boy. They were cheek to cheek at this moment and the boy felt hurt. He hugged her back not because he wanted to but because he felt like he had to. She ran her hand down his arm and grabbed his palm. "I've noticed you've been acting weird love. It's almost like your upset or stressed. You can tell me anything you need to mate. You know that." His face got warm and he looked down, "It's just school and home stuff." She looked him not fully convinced but gave him the privacy he needed. "Okay." They got out of the booth and grabbed the pictures. "Aww they look so good!" She looked at the item carefully before putting them in her bag. "Toni! They have this fashion game you are going to love!" Nicole was ecstatic to show Antonia the game but she looked back at the boy. He waved at her to got and nodded at the other girls. She ran off with them to see how good that game was leaving the boy behind. Isaiah looked at the picture and put it in his hoodie, making his way over to his friends.
Soon everyone was tired of wasting money and getting items they would forget about in the next few days. It was then where everyone was sitting on the benches having their antisocial social circle which involved them texting other friends. Currently, Joseph and Nicole were sitting on the floor crafting with the items they won. He played with the etch a sketch and listened to the others talk. He then slowly thought of something and scribbledsomething down on the object. Joseph handed the girl the object looking down, blushing. "What's up?" She paused for a moment as a grin then came on her face. She saw the word followed by the question mark "Are you asking me to be your valentine?" He nodded and the girl squealed. "Oh my god you guys are so cheesy," Jiya sarcastically rolled her eyes and looked in the other direction. Her own boyfriend was in line to buy his third ice cream cone on the day. Antonia then yawned, receiving negative comments from her friends. "Already? You're tired?" Roy teased her as his eyes began to water. "You're not even in school so what are you even talking about?" She indeed had a long boring day at school, the physical activity of playing games wore her out. She sighed leaning against her knees on the floor. She still had three more days till the weekend.
