"Surprise!"

Surge, covered in electricity, jumps at Sonic, who opens his eyes and sees what's going on and dodges out of the way. Surge hits the house full on. Covering herself in smoke. Sonic backs away from the house.

"And just when I thought I could rest" Sonic says deadpanned yet smiled. Only to be caught off guard with Kit pushing water into him and sending him flying back to Surge who punches him square in the face.

"Mr. Sonic?" Cream question, coming out of the house to see Kit, then Sonic flying back and Kit parrying him back to Surge.

"Hey!" Cream exclaims, which catches the attention of Kit, who ends up being hit by Sonic due to the distraction, both of them flying back. Which Surge is surprised at.

"Drippy, what happened?" Surge gets down to the ground and turns around and sees Cream who is standing at the side of the door. Surge looks around a bit more, before smiling at Cream.

"Hey Kid, watch this" Surge goes over to Sonic and Kit, who are both still recovering and takes Sonic off of Kit and starts decking him. Sonic lets out sounds of pain. Kit eventually recovers while Cream looks in shock.

"Hey, Stop!" Cream exclaims, Surge ignores her and Kit, summons some more water and pushes her back into her house. But, determined as even, Cream gets back up and goes back outside to face the two strangers again, no matter the cost. All while Sonic is being bounced like a basketball by Surge.

"What are you doing?" Cream yells and questions the two. Surge scowles and looks at Kit who approaches her and pushes her back into the house with more water. But then Cream tries again and again and again. Getting pushed back every single time by Kit right back into her house. But she comes out again. This agitates Kit a lot. Why won't she stop?

"I'll give her one thing, she's persistent." Surge comments while she continues to beat up Sonic, who at this point is trying to stay conscious more than caring whatever Cream is doing. So she comes back out. Kit, frustrated, pushes her back in even harder than before. It's quiet for a few seconds, before Cream comes out again. Cream looks frustrated but Kit is more so.

"WHY WON'T YOU STAY PUT?" Kit screams and lays down a hard slap of water at Cream who gets knocked into the house, hard. Kit finally thinks he got her. But she gets up, looking extremely mad.

"Cheese?" She calls, Kit watches and wonders who she's calling.

"Attack." She says calmly, a chao appears and goes outside, faces Kit and then attacks him. Bringing him down in seconds. Surge immediately come over and held him.

"Drippy, not like I care or anything, but are you okay?" Surge asks and immediately The chao turns back and points at Surge then Cheese attacks Surge, again, hard. Surge ends up putting up more of a fight, but still, falls to the ground quiet easily. She ends up getting up, only to get knocked down again. Kit, taking the smarter route. Gets up, sneaks past Surge and Cheese and then gets to Cream and holds her hostage.

"Alright! If you want her back you better stop!" Kit says. Cream screams and then a robot attacks him and he goes flying. Surge takes that as an opportunity to hit Sonic one more time and then exit quickly with Kit in tow. The two end up hiding in a bush near the scene.

"Where did you two go?" Cream screams frustrated. Sonic has gotten up and while slower is still right behind her.

"Cream, I think they got away"

"Aw, phooey." Cream says and pouts to herself while Sonic shrugs.

"It sucks, doesn't it? But I hope they realize their errors and forge a better path or whatever else, I'm too tired to deal with this" Sonic says and yawns and then heads back to his resting place. Cream stays for a bit longer at the place near Surge and Kit before leaving herself. Kit and Surge end up staying in that place for a bit. Before both of them scatter back to base.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE WE GOT KICKED BY HIS SIDEKICK!" Surge rages.

"I don't think that's his sidekick." Kit says and Surge looks at him like he said the stupidest thing ever.

"Of course that was his sidekick!"

"Well, if I was designed after her, don't you think I would be able to counter her?" Kit questions, Surge stops for a second, but then she smiles

"That's it!"

"What's it?"

"He got the wrong person!" Surge exclaims, Kit looks confused.

"That stupid Doctor got it wrong!" Surge keeps laughing, while Kit looks at her, until her laughter stops

"Well, if anything, that doesn't help us."

"Still, it's funny" Surge laughs

"Alright, let's get back." Kit says while Surge keeps laughing to herself. The two return to their home, where Surge laughs to herself and Kit gets more water for himself and Surge laughs and skit prepares food, then Kit and Surge eat dinner, while Surge laughs, then the two go to bed, while Surge laughs. Kit goes to sleep to Surge's laugh, only for him to wake up to the sound of crying. He investigates the sound, it's coming from Surge's room. The fact that he can tell what the crying probably is a bad thing. Yet he goes down knowing what probably happened.

He walks down the hall as slowly and as carefully as he can. Only to find a sleeping Surge crying her eyes out. Kit, concerned, knows that Surge doesn't like to be woken up, so he end up doing the only thing he can. He walks up to her. Put himself in a small position, then allows Surge to grab him. That makes her quieter, then Kit sleeps in her arms until the sun comes and the two wake up again. Where Surge finds Kit in her arms and decides to not mention anything about it. But the thought of why doesn't get out of either of their heads. Surge knows he had done this before and why he's done this before. But she doesn't want to mention it.
