Kit wakes up surprisingly happy for a day off. But he gets to meet Tails' friends. Which absolutely nothing can go wrong because of. Surge already left for her 'outing' with Amy, leaving Kit to get ready by himself. After he's done he waits by reading his book. Eventually, Tails comes and knocks on his door.
"Ready to go?" She asks, Kit nods and the two are off. Surprisingly his friends aren't that far. They both also happen to live at the same house. When Kit goes up to the house with Tails. He sees a bee and a rabbit. Both of which he recognizes. The bee he has no problem with, the rabbit might be a problem though.
The rabbit apparently remembers him too as she stops dead in her tracks as soon as she sees him. Kit nervously continues to follow Tails as he approaches the two. Avoiding the Rabbit as much as possible. But that really doesn't do much. Besides, it only makes him look even more nervous than he actually is.
"Hey Tails! Nice Dress! Who's that, I think I've seen him before!" The bee, Charmy comments to the two.
"Hi, I'm Kit."
"Oh that's where I recognize you from! You were with that green tenrec, you needed directions to Sonic!" That apparently angers The Rabbit, Cream, even more who gives Charmy a death stare that only Kit seems to notice. Kit attempts to wave to her, all she does is look through him. Kit then turns back to Charmy and Tails. Who continues to talk.
"Tails." Cream says.
"Yeah?" Tails asks.
"Why is he here?" Cream asks and points to Kit. She has a stern look on her face. Kit goes back in shame.
"Why not?"
"He's a criminal."
"Kit is better now! He and Surge have found a purpose!" Tails argues.
"Sorry that I don't want to play with a criminal!" Cream says and walks away.
"She's right…" Kit says.
"Kit, no. Come on, she's just having a hard time adjusting." Tails says.
"Yeah! I don't think you're mean!" Charmy says, Kit smiles at the compliments of the two and gets back up.
"Thanks."
The three of them decide to play without Cream. Hide n Seek. A simple game that Tails and Charmy explain to Kit. Tails becomes the seeker first while Charmy and Kit hide. Of course, Charmy takes Kit to the most ridiculous place that they can fine. That being flying on top of tree. Kit uses his water pack to get up which Charmy is very impressed by. That makes Kit blush a bit red before Tails comes for them. Not finding them at first, until she looks up. Finding the two on top of the tree. Tails flies up. Scaring Charmy who thankfully Kit catches before they fall off.
After that, Kit and Tails hide while Charmy seeks. Tails has the ingenious idea of going behind a bush. She calls it hiding in plain sight, the bush is small however. So the two have to get close, Kit blushes a bright red, while Tails doesn't until she realizes the awkwardness of the situation. Then she ends up blushing a bright red. It doesn't help that Charmy takes forever to find them. But eventually they do. Which then Kit and Tails breathe a sigh of relief and get off of each other. With Charmy questioning internally why they got off so fast from each other.
Then it's Kit's turn to seek. Tails and Charmy go off and hide and Kit counts to a hundred. For some reason Kit feels jealously towards the fact that Tails and Charmy get to spend more time together without him but he doesn't think on that for long, focusing on finding the two instead. They must've picked a weird or complex spot because Kit can't find them for a long time. Hit eventually he does, inside a little box in Charmy and Cream's garage. The box is spacious so that Tails and Charmy aren't close together, for some reason that makes Kit feel proud that Tails allowed herself to be so close with him.
After a few more rounds of hide n seek, the three go inside. To find Cream and Vanilla and Vector and Espio all sitting in the living room. Cream is playing by herself while The three others are either talking amongst each other or reading a paper. Cream immediately turns away as soon as she sees the three enter. Vanilla is hospitable as ever, so she of course offers them lunch at her insistence. So Cream, Charmy, Tails and Kit all have lunch. Of course, tensions between Cream and Kit are still high. Extremely high. She gives him a death stare the entire time.
"Cream, stop giving a death stare towards Kit." Vanilla says, all that does is make Cream and huff to herself, Vanilla sighs. She pats Kit on the back and smiles at him. That makes him feel a bit better.
After lunch. Vanilla forces Cream to go outside and play. She mainly stays to the side. Kit goes over and attempts to apologize but she won't have any of it. So Kit goes back to playing with Tails and Charmy. Which he enjoys very much. He asks if they can do this again, of course Charmy agrees and Tails smiles at Kit making new friends. Eventually the time ends and Kit and Tails go back to Kit's place. Tails drops Kit off and makes sure he's okay. Kit then proceeds to give Tails a hug, which while it catches her off guard, but of course, Tails graciously accepts. Kit blushes a bright red once they both let go.
Kit says goodbye and Tails does too. Kit then sits on his bed, blushing a bright red. Sure, Cream absolutely hates his guts but now he has feelings with Tails and he can feel them also growing with Charmy for some reason. It isn't friendship but something more, maybe he should talk to his therapist about it again. He goes asleep to thoughts in his head, a lot of thoughts. Guess he'll have to figure them out tomorrow. If he has time. He might just hang out with Tails again, or Charmy or both. Thinking of them makes him blush a bright red. But eventually, against all odds, he gets asleep. Even before Surge gets back so she see him sleeping peacefully with a dumb smile on his face.
