Boku no Hero Academia: Custodian Izuku

Disclaimer: This is a crossover fanfiction story of 'Boku no Hero Academia' and 'Warhammer 40k' (yes, really). I own nothing of the two series other than the fanfiction stories that I make.

I am making this story for the sake of fun, fluff and awesome after writing a one-shot story of the same story concept. If I am able to somehow impress fans of Warhammer 40k or even move someone to tears, even better.

Also, if anyone wants to know how in the world I got this idea in the first place, please refer to the artist, Ryuusei (Mark II), who has made some awesome pictures of gender-bent primarchs. The link is: .us/pools/17320

Please note that while I am familiar with the Warhammer 40k setting, my actual knowledge of it is casual at best. Also, if the genderbent primarchs seem at least a bit OOC, please kindly consider the fact that their bodies (especially the traitor primarchs) have changed drastically after entering Izuku's world.

In case anyone asks how much crack I was taking in to come up with the idea, I am just going to say enough to make even a loyalist Adaptus Astartes trippy.

Chapter 1: To Redeem A Traitor

"Men are not created equal. That is the tragic truth of the world, especially in a world where superhuman abilities known as quirks exist."

Midoriya Izuku, a boy who with fluffy dark-green hair, green eyes and freckles on his youthful face, was tempted to run away in mortal terror as wails of rage and despair, as well as the sounds of trees being smashed into splinters, continued to echo through a forest. As for why he was in the forest in the first place, he was feeling nostalgic of his younger, happier years and decided to wander into the forest where he used to explore with other children his own age many years ago. He was about to leave the forest when the wails started.

"In a world where quirks exists, there are two types of people. Heroes who use their quirks to uphold justice and protect the innocent and villains who abuse their quirks for selfish gain or to hurt others instead."

In spite of his terror, Izuku pressed on as he simply could not ignore the feeling that whoever was wailing was somehow in need of help. He soon reached a river which he quickly realised was the very same river where he once tried to help a certain childhood friend with red eyes and spiky ash-blond named Bakugou Katsuki. Izuku was about to recall the bitter memory of how Katsuki spitefully rejected his help and then became his abusive bully when a mournful raging wail snapped him out of his negative thoughts and made him turn his attention towards the river.

There, in that river, was a naked girl who was clearly bigger than Izuku with impressive muscles that could put even many professional heroes (pro-heroes) to shame. He also noted that there was a clearing behind her which used to be a part of the forest until the trees were smashed into splinters, literally.

His eyes widened in shock and fright as he thought, "Did she smash all those trees all by herself?"

A habitual overthinker, especially when it came to superhuman abilities known as quirks, Izuku was about to consider how strong the girl was when she suddenly threw her head upwards and wailed to the heavens as if demanding an answer from it.

"However, this begs the question on who has the right or authority to decide that a person is a hero to be admired or a villain to be reviled. While personal opinions can be biased even in the best of times, society as a whole is anything but free of bias or prejudice."

As Izuku watched the wailing girl, who was either older than him or simply had a quirk that made her signiffcantly bigger than most, he noticed that she had dark copper-red hair that were shaped into dreadlocks, tan skin, pointed teeth that almost resembled fangs and bloodied knuckles. In spite of the lack of tears, Izuku could tell that the girl was also clearly grieving as though she had just suffered a terrible soul-crushing tragedy that would put his own suffering, as a quirkless junior highschool boy born in a world which seemed to value quirks above all else, to shame.

Considering what Izuku would later learn about the girl and her past, he was quite right to think so.

"To be perfectly honest, I'm still not really sure what a real hero really is. Most of the time, just I do the very best I can, if not more, and hope that it will somehow be enough to protect and save the innocent."

Swallowing his fear, Izuku got out of his hiding spot and approached the girl until he was close enough to cautiously ask, "E-excuse me, do you need any help?"

Yellow eyes that seemed to glow with rage and madness opened wide as the girl turned her attention towards him with a snarl that could probably make even the likes of All Might, the strongest pro-hero in Japan if not the world world, flinch in fear. Veins started to bulge around her face and upper torso as she yelled at Izuku in a language that was clearly, if heavily accented, English, "Why do you care?!"

Almost wetting himself due to sheer fright, Izuku nevertheless stood his ground as he timidly replied in English, "Y-you… need help… Right…?"

Seemingly angered by Izuku's response, the girl suddenly rose up without care of her unclothed state. Her rage was so obvious that Izuku did not even notice that her body was naked, as well as attractively built, for even a microsecond. Instead, he braced himself for a severe beating that might very well cause him to be hospitalised as she stomped towards him with apparently murderous intent. His eves never left hers as she got closer and closer to him until he was in the shadow of her tall frame.

In spite of shaking in terror even greater than what his school bullies had ever caused him to feel, Izuku nevertheless did not fall to his knees to beg for mercy or flee from her. Instead, he stood still and continued to look into her eyes which, in spite of being filled with rage and madness, was also filled with pain and despair.

After what seemed to be an eternity of mind-numbing terror, Izuku noticed something.

The girl, in spite of her furious expression, was weeping as she asked in a quieter tone than before, "Why… do you care?"

Instead of speaking, Izuku decided to act instead as he reached out to touch her cheek. Shocked by the gentle touch, the girl tentatively placed her hand over his as he spoke to her in English with the hope that his favourite pro-hero's catchphrase would be enough, "I… I am here."

Like a dam that finally broke, her face contorted into an expression of sorrow and grief as she hugged him while falling onto her knees. Although shocked by her action, Izuku did not hesitate to comfort her as she started to cry in sorrow…

-Meanwhile, at the edge of the "clearing" made by the girl…-

"I… don't believe it!" said a naked girl who had charcoal-black skin, red eyes that seemed to glow and light-blue flames in place of hair.

"What kind of warp-sorcery did he use on HIM?" asked a naked wild-looking girl with blond hair, blue eyes and fang-like canines.

"Perhaps it's to be expected," said a naked girl with black hair and amber-yellow eyes.

"How so, Jaghatai?" asked a girl who, given her beauty, pale-blond hair, blue eyes, white feathered wings and the faint golden glow that radiated from her body, could be easily mistaken for a naked angel. Standing beside her was a naked well-built girl with short grey hair and bright-brown eyes.

The girl with black hair and dark eyes named Jaghatai Khan wore a bitter expression as she explained, "It's no secret that Angron had been afflicted with the 'Butcher's Nails' long before our father found him on Nuceria, let alone the Heresy." She then made a motion with her arms to indicate her current body and said, "If we're shocked by the fact that we had somehow entered a different universe upon our deaths, never mind the fact that we're now teenage girls with 'abhuman' traits and minimal 'psyker' abilities, at best, try imagining the shock of being in a body that is not only free from the taint of Chaos but that damnable acheotech as well."

Realising the implications, the angelic girl, whose name was Sanguinius, said, "In other words, she's finally able to feel emotions other than pain, rage and bloodlust."

"Precisely," said Jaghatai.

"Add in the fact that the boy not only had the courage to stand his ground but also also be kind to her, it's no wonder that Angron broke down," said the dark-skinned girl whose name was Vulkan. Like the other girls, Vulkan loathed Angron in her past life but she also recognised the fact that Angron received little to no kindness from them or their creator back then.

The wild-looking blond girl, whose name was Leman Russ, suddenly smelled something and growled, "As interesting as this conversation of finding ourselves in a different version of Terra and trying to make sense of it is, we've got company."

Suddenly, all four girls became tense as they noticed that they were not alone. Standing at the opposite side was a group of equally naked girls whom they immediately recognised were their enemies from their home universe. Among them was a girl with red skin and dark bronze-red hair, a girl with sickly-pale skin and grey hair, a beautiful girl with silver-grey hair and purple eyes and a tomboyish-looking girl with short dark iron-grey hair. Though their forms had changed and their souls had been freed from the taint of the Ruinous Powers of Chaos, there was simply not mistaking the traitors that had brought the Imperium of Man (the Imperium in short) to a dark age of ruin and religious fanaticism.

"Should we take them down?" asked Russ who was clearly eager to kill them, especially the red-skinned one.

"As much as I want to have these traitors punished, I'm afraid that discretion of the better half of valour," said the girl with short grey hair named Rogal Dorn. Memories of a certain "Iron Cage" incident flashed through her mind as she then added, "We do not know if they have any hidden reinforcements and, if our own abhuman abilities are of any indication, they probably possess their own abhuman abilities as well."

"You're right to assume such, Dorn," said a feminine voice that echoed in the minds of the four girls.

Dorn frowned as she mentally replied, "Magnus, I see that you are already using your new tricks."

"Indeed," confirmed the telepathic voice while the red-skinned girl named Magnus smirked smugly.

In spite of the situation, Russ smirked as she mentally asked, "How's being basically cut off from the warp working out for you, Cyclops?"

Magnus frowned slightly before she regained her smirk and telepathically replied, "It's a shock, that's for sure, but I can imagine that being essentially separated from the Emperor is not very pleasant for you loyalists."

Unable to deny the truth, Russ growled in response while Jaghatai mentally asked, "Do you intend to somehow return to the service of the Chaos Gods?"

"Honestly, no," answered Magnus who then scowled and telepathically added, "I may not have any idea of how we ended up here instead of dying back in our home universe, or how Sanguinius is even alive in this version of Terra for that matter, but I have every intention of taking this chance to be done with both the Emperor and the Dark Gods."

Russ gritted her teeth as she mentally snarled, "Do you seriously expect us to…?"

Suddenly, all the girls felt an oppressive force of fury upon them, making them sweat as they turned their attention towards the source of the force. Their eyes widened as they realised that Angron had finally noticed their presence was clearly unamused by it. She stood up while placing a comforting hand over Izuku's shoulder and glared at the two groups while growling, "Take your pissing contest elsewhere. I want no part in this frakking idiocy."

"W-wait, there are more?" asked Izuku who was barely able to understand what Angron was implying. In spite of understanding the English language better than most Japanese people in his age group, mostly due to being a hopeless fan boy of a certain pro-hero who had spent a few years in America, Angron's heavy accent made understanding her words difficult.

"Yes, and they're NOT my friends," growled Angron.

"T-this pressure, it's almost as though Angron's still bound to Khorne!" thought Magnus.

"Am I the only one who thinks dismissing him as a mindless brute is now biting our arses as badly as the time of the Heresy?" asked Russ who, in spite of having bested Angron in combat before, felt that she might not be able to replicate that feat while in their current forms.

"You're far from the only one," agreed Jaghatai. If Angron somehow still possessed a sufficiently strong connection to the warp in spite of being in a different universe with a different body, the consequences of her unleashing her fury could be devastating.

Magnus raised her arms in a placating manner and spoke to Angron, "Now, now, Angron! I know that you were not happy about serving Khorne as his daemon prince but please understand that it was Lorgar who changed you into a daemon prince, not us. Besides, you may doubt our intentions to sever our ties with the Chaos Gods but will you actually choose to side with those who may decide to have you executed, in spite of your justified grievances towards the Emperor, over us?"

Angron's frown deepened as she thought about Magnus' words. She then thought about the revelations she had made before she was turned into a daemon prince of Khorne, the chaos god of hatred, war and bloodshed, and said, "You're right, it was Lorgar who turned me into a Daemon, not you, Magnus. It is also true that the loyalists may yet still decide to have me executed for my crimes as both a traitor and a daemon prince." Her eyes then glowed as she added, "However, I've never feared my own death and, after everything I've done to so many others just to spite ONE MAN, I now know that I deserve punishment." She then pointed a finger at Magnus' group and roared, "I am Angron, the unworthy broken primarch of the loyalist World Eaters and former enslaved daemon-prince of Khorne, and I can sense YOUR fear!"

Shaken by Angron's words, Magnus took a step back and said, "Brothe… Sisters, we should leave." The fact that the other former traitor primarchs did not disagree with Magnus' decision spoke volumes of shaken they were by Angron's declaration as they hastily retreated deeper into the forest.

"This righteous fury… to think that the Butcher's Nails had robbed so much from us all…!" thought Vulkan who was currently certain that the Angron that they once knew and despised was truly no more.

Izuku, who had witnessed the entire exchange, could only stare up at Angron with awed eyes. In spite of not being able to understand everything that she had said, he knew in his heart that the girl was someone who had the potential to be a pro-hero on par with the likes of All Might himself or if not even greater than him…

"Men are not created equal, but that does not mean that no one can challenge the status quo, for better or for worse."

-A short while later…-

Given the commotion that Angron had caused at the forest, it was no surprise that that law enforcement was already present by the time Izuku called his mother to inform her about his unusual situation. Part of the reason why Izuku called his mother was because he was mortified to be in the presence of six naked girls once he got over his initial fright and desire to help Angron. The fact that the girls seemed uncaring about their own nudity, never mind the fact that they were all attractive in one form or another, did little to ease Izuku's feelings of embarrassment.

By the time the pro-heroes and police arrived, Izuku had already learnt the names of the six girls and was at least aware that their circumstances were very strange to say the least. As such, he quickly asked the pro-heroes and police for someone who could speak fluently in English so that the girls could explain themselves more easily.

While Izuku and the girls, who were covered in large blankets, waited, his mother arrived. A chubby woman with green hair and eyes, the woman's name was Midoriya Inko. Tears flowed freely from her eyes as she tackled Izuku in a tight hug and said, "Oh, my baby! Are you all right? Did anyone try to hurt you? Do you need any…"

Izuku blushed as he assured her, "I-I'm okay, really. Just a little shaken up, that's all." Suddenly, his stomach growled loudly which made him blush even more and said, "… aaand I'm now hungry."

Inko snorted in amusement at Izuku's response and said, "Well, it has been an eventful few hours and dinnertime is fast-approaching so it's not all that surprising."

"If you want, we can get some food and drinks for all of you," said a tall man with short hair and black eyes who was also dressed in a tan overcoat with a matching hat named Detective Tsukauchi Naomasa. Due to the unusual situation with Izuku and the girls, the detective was called in to help due to his quirk which allowed him to detect lies regardless of the language spoken. He then smiled at Izuku and said, "It's the least we can do for not only the victims of an unusual scenario but also for the boy who has managed to de-escalate the situation."

Izuku blushed and said, "I-I only reached out to one of the girls and convinced her that I meant no harm, honest!"

"And who knows what would have happened if you had not done that," said Naomasa. He then noticed something and smirked playfully as he added, "Speaking of helping someone, am I right to assume that the one sitting next to you is the girl named Angron?"

"Yes, she is," replied Izuku who seemed oblivious of the fact that he and Angron were not only sitting side by side but he had also placed his hand comfortingly over hers.

Inko quickly caught on and looked at Angron in the eyes. Seemingly aware of Inko and Naomasa's thoughts, Angron blushed but did not take her hand away from Izuku's. Angron's reaction caused the mother to almost squeal in hopeful delight of the possibility of having grandchildren.

Some might argue that Angron was too big and brutishly muscular in appearance to be an attractive future daughter-in-law but, in a world where there people with speech bubbles for heads actually existed, never mind Izuku's lack of friends due to being quirkless, Inko was not very picky. Besides, she actually found Angron's bashfulness quite cute.

Suddenly, a loud boisterous voice could be heard speaking in English, "Yo! I heard that some English-speaking ladies are in need of help in translation here!"

Izuku's eyes shone with excitement as he spoke, "Oh, my gosh! It's Present Mic!"

A man with long blond hair that was spiked upwards, a small moustache and rectangular greenish-yellow eyes named Yamada Hizashi, who was also a pro-hero named Present Mic, grinned at Izuku and said, "I see that you're a fan, little listener!"

Izuku nodded as he eagerly replied, "You're famous for not only your work as a pro-hero but also as a DJ for various events, a radio show host and a teacher at U.A. High School!"

"Which also makes him one of my staff at the school," said a voice.

All six girls stared at the diminutive speaker in dumbstruck shock while Izuku got even more excited and said, "You must be Nedzu, the principal of the school and an animal with a hyper-intelligence quirk, High Spec!"

"Indeed, I am!" said Nedzu who was a highly intelligent mouse-like animal with white fur and a scar that ran across his right eye. He then turned his attention towards the girls and said, "Given the unusual yet fascinating situation that requires Present Mic's proficiency in the English Language, I have decided to get involved in this matter myself and possibly offer assistance."

Naomasa nodded and said, "Your input will be appreciated." He then turned his attention towards Present Mic and said, "Please tell them that we mean them no harm and only wish to get some answers from them." Hizashi gave Naomasa a thumb's up before he spoke to the girls in English.

After hearing Present Mic's words, Sanguinius smiled in response and said, "We appreciate your willingness to help us in spite of the unusual circumstances." Her smile caused the faint glow around her body to shine a little more brightly and make everyone sense her sincere appreciation. Present Mic blushed bashfully before he translated what she said to Nedzu and Naomasa. Honestly though, the translation was not entirely necessary at that moment.

"Well, if everyone's fine with some questioning while having some refreshments, we can get started right away," said Naomasa who had enough experience to realise that he would probably be busy for the whole night. Even so, he still thought, "Hopefully, it will not take that long."

-Many hours later…-

By the time the pro-heroes and the detective were done asking the girls, who were once superhuman demigods known as primarchs, it was already well past midnight. In spite of the many hours spent on questioning the girls and answering their own questions, especially about quirks, the girls only covered the most basic facts about their original home universe which seemed to be a grim and dark place that was constantly at war. What was more, Angron admitted that she was once a traitor who had essentially betrayed all of humanity due to her hatred towards her own creator, the Emperor of Mankind (the Emperor in short).

In spite of the shocking revelations, Izuku refused to leave the girls until he was sure that they would be all right. It did not matter to him that the girls were once men who were specifically created for war and conquest. He did not even care that Angron had committed horrible acts that would make even most villains of his own world recoil in horror. As long as the girls needed help and were willing to accept his admittedly limited assistance, he would help them to the best of his abilities.

Surprisingly, at least for Izuku who was all too used to being deemed as a "worthless Deku" due to being quirkless, the pro-heroes and the detective were willing to let him stay with the girls. Then again, it was also apparent that the former primarchs trusted him for some reason so it could be said that letting him stay with them would make it easier for the pro-heroes and the police to do their jobs. Inko, who was admittedly a worry-wart, was also willing to let him stay with the girls as a long as she stayed with them as well.

Since Izuku and Inko's apartment was simply too small to accommodate six more people, who were somehow within Izuku's age group in spite of being nearly two metres tall with impressive physical builds to match, Nedzu suggested that they could temporarily live at U.A. High School for the foreseeable future. Being a boy who still dreamt of becoming a pro-hero in spite of being quirkless, Izuku did not hesitate to accept the chance to spend the night at the high school at all. Even the former primarchs were amused by Izuku's joyful excitement.

By the time Izuku, his mother and the six girls arrived at the school together with Nedzu, Hizashi and Naomasa, Izuku and his mother were exhausted. Nedzu, who seemed to be prepared for just about anything, quickly had a room prepared for all of them to sleep in for the night with futon mattresses, pillows and blankets. The principal of the school also assured Izuku and Inko that he would write official letters to explain why they would be absent for at least a few days so they did not have to worry about school or work while the investigation on the former primarchs was still ongoing.

Considering that the former primarchs had barely enough time to explain the history of the Imperium up to the conclusion of the Horus Heresy, there was still a lot for them to explain even though one of them had died during the said heresy.

Once everyone had settled in after cleaning themselves up, Izuku and his mother fell asleep almost immediately due to exhaustion. As the two of them slept soundly, five of the six former primarchs soon started discussing among themselves in English which, in their original version of Terra, was simply one of the many dialects of the 'Low Ghotic' language.

"So, do you think was can trust these people?" asked Vulkan.

"If you're referring to Izuku and his mother, I'm inclined to believe that they genuinely want to help us," replied Sanguinius who had taken the role as the leader of the group. She then frowned and added, "As for the rest of the abhumans that make up the rest of the population and that… 'mutant animal', I am admittedly more doubtful of their seemingly good intentions."

"The fact that they're freely using 'abominable intelligences', primitive and feeble as they seem to be, is also deeply concerning," said Dorn who frowned at the mere memory of seeing small robots prepare their current sleeping quarters. As a loyal servant of the Emperor of Mankind in her past life, she knew about the dangers of using robots with advanced artificial intelligences that can fully function without any assistance from a human mind. The fact that the diminutive robots were openly complaining about having to work so late at night only made the former primarchs even more alarmed.

When Dorn and most of the other former primarchs expressed their concerns about the abominable intelligences, as well as provide information about a certain faction known as the 'Men of Iron' as an example, the principal of U.A. High School assured them that steps had already been taken to prevent a possible "robot uprising". He informed the six girls that, contrary to their concerns, the local people of the world they were currently in had taken the possible danger very seriously after surviving the chaos that followed the genesis of quirks. In spite of Nedzu's assurances, as well as Izuku and Inko's confirmation of his claims, the former primarchs were not convinced that the steps that had already been taken would be enough to prevent another "Cybernetic Revolt" from occurring. Thankfully, the local people seemed to how to make mechanical prosthetics as well so there was hope that they would eventually embrace the idea of using half-cyborg servants known as 'servitors' instead of creating increasingly advanced machines with abominable intelligences.

"I'm honestly more concerned about the sheer prevalence and variety of mutations on this world," said Jaghatai.

Vulkan nodded and said, "While I have nothing against abhumans as long as they are loyal to the Imperium and the Emperor, the sheer variety of the different abhuman mutations that the local people simply call 'quirks' is something I would normally associate with the Ruinous Powers instead of conventional mutations or evolution. By the throne, I doubt even the Tyranids can replicate some of the stranger mutations we have seen today."

"Do you think these quirks are linked to this world's version of the 'immaterium' in some way?" asked Russ.

"It's possible, probably likely even, but it is also apparent that the use of these quirks seem to lack the hazards that the psykers back on our version of Terra usually face," said Sangunius.

"Perhaps these quirks are a way to tap into the powers of the immaterium with minimal risk of psychic backlash," suggested Jaghatai.

"It's one theory that is worth considering," said Sanguinius.

"Hopefully the apparent lack of warp-related issues means that we do not have to worry about daemonic possessions and chaos sorcery," said Russ who had always despised psykers.

"Speaking of psykers from our version of Terra, we should consider trying to find a way to somehow return to the Emperor's side," said Dorn.

Sanguinius nodded and said, "If the decline of the Imperium after the Horus Heresy is true, never mind the threat posed by not only the Ruinous Powers but also various Xenos species such as the Tyranids, then it is of utmost importance for us to return to our home universe so that we can somehow save it in our father's name."

"Not interested."

Surprised by the statement, the five girls who were once loyalist primarchs turned their attention towards Angron who was awake in spite of lying on her futon mattress with her back turned towards them. Russ glared at the former traitor and growled, "Why? Afraid to face punishment for your past crimes?"

Instead of attacking Russ or even yelling in response, Angron bitterly replied, "There is no one who truly cares for me back there. Both the Emperor and I made sure of that."

Had Angron simply placed all the blame on the Emperor, Russ would have responded with anger. However, since the former traitor primarch admitted that she herself had played a role in her own ruination, Russ stayed quiet instead while Vulkan asked, "Do you not wish to redeem yourself?"

Angron's frown deepened as she replied, "I may not hate the Emperor like before but I still cannot forgive him for taking me away from my comrades, the Eaters of Cities, when he could have at least saved them back on Nuceria. Also, why should I try to redeem myself to the person who did not care that I was a broken tool as long as I was still useful to him?"

Had the five girls not been formerly primarchs, they would have winced at Angron's undeniably true reply.

"What about other people, especially your victims? Do they not have the right to judge you after seeing how you have changed?" asked Sanguinius.

Angron chuckled bitterly as she replied, "There will never be any mercy for me. I am Angron, the Betrayer, the Oathbreaker." She then turned her attention towards Izuku, who still wanted to help her in spite of knowing at least a fraction of the horrible evils she had committed in her past life, and said, "I can try to have a new life here… and I'm willing to be forgotten for all eternity like the primarchs of the second and eleventh legions to have it."

Realising the real reason why Angron was not interested in finding a way home, Russ sighed and grumbled, "Fine, you don't have to come back with us if you want to stay here. That being said we do need all the help we can get."

Dorn nodded and said, "There is also the possibility that, not counting the four that we have already met, the rest of the twenty primarchs have somehow been reborn in this world as well. At the very least, we will need your help to locate them and, if given no other choice, stop them from destroying this world by any means necessary."

A moment of silence passed before Angron replied, "I can work with that."

"Then it is decided. We will do our best to adapt to this world while also seeking a way to not only find the other primarchs but also a way to at least get in touch with the Imperium," said Sanguinius.

"Preferably WITHOUT getting the Ruinous Powers or xenos races involved with this world," added Angron.

"Yes, that too," agreed Sanguinius. Although the version of Terra that they were currently living on was very different from the one they knew, it was still Terra and was therefore worth protecting.

After coming to an agreement, the six girls went to sleep as well. It would not do to have insufficient rest when they would be questioned again on the following day.

-Meanwhile…-

As a hyper-intelligent animal of unknown species, Nedzu knew the English Language and therefore did not need a translator to understand what the girls were saying as he listened to their conversation through hidden microphones. He smiled as he thought to himself, "To think that humans from other universes actually exist, never mind the possibility that quirks might be a connection to an immaterial realm that is effectively the afterlife." He then frowned as he continued to think, "However, if these girls' lives are anything to go by, care must be taken in not only dealing with the possibility of finding the true source of quirks but also the advancement of artificial intelligence. It will not do for society to advance further into the stars only to fall back into a new dark age. That's not even counting the issue of finding the rest of the former primarchs before anything terrible can happen."

Nedzu nearly shuddered as he thought of a certain infamous villain that was kept hidden from public knowledge. Although All Might had defeated the villain by destroying the top half of his head, the villain's body was never recovered which made Nedzu at least a bit doubtful of the claim that the villain had died. If the former traitor primarchs somehow got into contact with the villain or his minions, there would be no way to predict the resulting possible damage. Even lesser villains could potentially become very dangerous if the former traitor primarchs decided to ally themselves with them.

"Never mind the villains, even the HPSC cannot be trusted with the girls," thought Nedzu. Well aware that the Hero Public Safety Commission (the HPSC in short) would desire the former primarchs for their knowledge in weapons of war at the very least, Nedzu was determined to prevent them from having custody of them. After all, it would be foolish to assume that further "inter-universal intrusions" into their universe would not happen and Nedzu would rather avoid provoking an invasion by an actual galactic power that had embraced xenophobia and religious fanaticism for generations.

Determined to avoid the creation of a grim and dark future, Nedzu made sure to send a few messages to his trusted allies before going to bed himself. He needed to ask the girls more questions on the following day and he would rather be well-rested before undertaking the task.

-Later that same night…-

Izuku was sleeping soundly when he started to hear whimpering. Unable to ignore the sound, Izuku opened his eyes drowsily. It took him a moment to realise that he was not sleeping in his bedroom as usual and then another moment to remember that he was currently sleeping at U.A. High School.

After he woke up and got his bearings, Izuku turned his attention to whoever was whimpering and realised that it was Angron. Although the girl was undoubtedly large and imposing even while asleep, he could not help but notice that she needed help as she lay curled up into a foetal position on the futon mattress while whimpering pleas and apologies to whoever was haunting her in her dreams. Unable to bear leaving her in distress, Izuku approached her and gently placed his hand onto her head like how Inko used to comfort him when he was younger. Angron's whimpering died down as Izuku continued comforting her until she started breathing calmly. He smiled at the girl and was about to leave her to sleep on his own mattress when she unexpectedly held onto his hand.

A moment of silence passed before Izuku realised that he was effectively restrained by Angron whose grip was too strong to break free without waking her up. Torn between wanting to avoid any embarrassment and being reluctant to wake up the girl, Izuku sighed in resignation as he ultimately decided to lie down next to her without further struggle. As he gazed at her sleeping expression, he noticed her smiling ever so slightly and smiled in return as he thought, "I may never be a pro-hero, but I wouldn't trade this moment for anything."

Before long, Izuku fell back asleep. As he slept, he was blissfully unaware that his actions had not gone unnoticed…

-The following morning…-

Izuku was nuzzling against something firm yet comforting and warm when he started to hear giggling. When he opened his eyes, the first thing he realised was that he was sleeping in someone's arms with his face gently pressed pressed against something that was firm yet soft. As his mind became fully awake, he was mortified to realise that Angron had somehow ended up hugging him in her sleep in such a way that his face was pressed against her bosom. Even worse, he could recognise his mother's giggles.

In spite of being embarrassed by the fact that his face was on Angron's chest, he was determined to not face his mother or the other former primarchs as he meekly asked in Japanese, "Angron's still asleep, isn't she?"

"You can say that," replied Inko who sounded very amused by Izuku's situation.

Suddenly, the door into the room opened and a loud boisterous voice called could be head yelling in English, "YO! Good morning, everyone!"

-Less then a second later…-

As a former primarch, Angron was familiar with the idea of waking up at the smallest disturbance. However, she felt so comfortable and at peace in spite of being undeserving of it that she simply did not want to wake up. Alas, the loud annoying translator from the day before had clearly decided to wake everyone up.

She wore an annoyed scowl as she opened her eyes and glared at the blond loudmouth, who seemed to be holding his breath for some reason, when she noticed that the other former primarchs and Inko were apparently already awake for some time and were amused about something. Confused, she raised an eyebrow which seemed to amuse them even more.

"What's so funny?" asked Angron who was speaking in English.

Russ was wearing what could only be described as a "frakking shit-eating grin" as she replied in, "Oh, nothing. Just making sure that you will never live this one down, oh Red Angel of the twelfth legion."

Confused by Russ' statement, Angron took a moment to ponder what she meant until she realised that she had been hugging something the entire time. Even though primarchs were supposed to be superhuman champions of humanity that knew no fear, there was an unmistakable feeling of dread crawling down her spine as she looked down and locked eyes with Izuku's green gaze. Her face flushed crimson in embarrassment as Izuku meekly greeted her in English, "G-good morning, Angron-san."

Angron moved as though she was an ill-maintained servitor as she stiffly yet gently sat upright and put Izuku aside before she suddenly grabbed the nearest pillow she could find so that she could bury her face into it while letting out a drawn-out swear, "Fraaaaaaaaaaaak!"

Unable to contain herself, Russ laughed boisterously while the rest of the people in the room giggled or chuckled at the situation. Hizashi, who had been entrusted to wake everyone up, could not hold back his laughter any longer and laughed until his stomach hurt. Izuku, who was feeling very embarrassed, hid his face with his hands and thought, "I don't know if you can hear me, Emperor of Mankind, but I am praying to you that I will not experience this kind of embarrassment again any time soon!"

-Meanwhile, in a separate universe plagued by war and slaughter…-

In the grim darkness of the 42nd millenium, there was only war.

However, even if was just for a single fleeting moment, the darkness seemed to retreat as a certain divine being of mortal origins chuckled at an amusing yet undeniably pure-hearted predicament…

"This is a story of how I, along with girls who were once demigods known as primarchs, became some of the greatest heroes of our time and beyond."

-End Chapter-

Author's Notes:

Before anyone says anything, yes, I am making slight adjustments to the story so it will be at least a bit different from the original one-shot. I am also planning to at least conclude my other story, 'Izuku's Pet Noumu' so I may decide to switch between stories while I write this one.

As for how long this story will be, I honestly have no idea what I will write write after the [REDACTED] arc. Hopefully, I will be able to tie at least most of the loose ends by then.

As far as details of the genderbent primarchs are concerned:

All former primarchs possess enhanced physical abilities including strength, speed, agility, durability, endurance, resistance to diseases and senses. Their bodies are tall and range in build from athletic to muscular. In terms of mental abilities, they possess enhanced intellect and mental fortitude. In addition, they possess knowledge of their past lives including engineering, strategy and combat skills.

It is important to note that while the girls were originally primarchs, their current bodies are more akin to the "local abhuman population" of Izuku's world. In other words, they possess quirks instead of the transhuman abilities that makes them primarchs. However, as their souls are still that of the original primarchs, the girls still possess at least some connection to the warp and their home universe. What is more, they can instinctively recognise one another by their very souls.

Angron (Yes, THAT Angron) (She has the ability to sense and absorb emotions to enhance her already-exceptional physical abilities even further. She can also calm others by absorbing negative emotions. However, absorbing too much negative emotions has the risk of making her enter a blind berserker rage.)

Leman Russ (She has the ability to transform into a more feral form with wolf-like traits and superior physical abilities at the cost of lower self control. She also possesses exceptionally keen senses, especially smell, even while in her baseline form but those very same keen sense can be used against her.)

Jaghatai Khan (She is the fastest of the former primarchs in terms of raw speed, agility and reflexes. While other primarchs can match her speed, it requires the conscious activation of their own abilities such as Angron's emotion-powered boost.)

Sanguinius (She possesses a pair of wings and can use them to fly. She also gives off a soft glow that makes her appear downright angelic and can change in brightness or intensity depending on her emotions and thoughts. Due to being an "abhuman" instead of a primarch, she is free of the Red Thirst.)

Vulkan (She is effectively immune to fire and possesses limited pyrokinesis. She also gives really strong hugs.)

Rogal Dorn (She possesses the strongest resistance to mental afflictions among the primarchs to the point that she is effectively immune to most forms of brainwashing. She also possesses incredible willpower as a result of her mental fortitude.)

Lion El'Jonson (Her instinct-driven combat skills are so great that even people with precognitive abilities have difficulty in besting her in combat. She is also unusually strong and intelligent even among other former primarchs. However, she is still terrible at connecting with other people.)

Roboute Guilliman (Her ability to analyse, plan and organise are the best among the former primarchs. However, she is also the most likely to get obsessed with keeping things under control or properly organised.)

Ferrus Manus (Her arms are covered in metallic skin that is extremely tough and durable. She can still forge weapons and tools with her own bare hands.)

Corvus Corax (She can transform into a wraith-like shadow form to move through even the smallest of gaps and effectively "disappear" into shadows.)

Konrad Curze (Her quirk allows her to see into the future. However, unlike her past self, she can only see up to a day after the present. Also, whatever future she sees can be altered depending on what happens in the present.)

Magnus (She can read minds and communicate telepathically with others. She can also cause others to hallucinate.)

Perturabo (She can learn and memorise things, including physical skills, quickly. She is also capable of rapidly adapting her body to new forms of physical training)

Fulgrim (She has the ability to heal completely from all non-fatal wounds. She also possesses a mind-manipulation ability that allows her to manipulate anyone who is sufficiently attracted to her.)

Mortarion (She can drain stamina from people around her and use the acquired energy to enhance her own already-exceptional physical durability and resistance to poisons and diseases even further.)

Alpharius and Omegon (Smallest of the former primarchs, they have the ability to suppress their presence so thoroughly that they can effectively disappear in a crowd. They can also transfer information and even temporarily control others by giving the recipient some of their own blood.)

Icarian (Based on a fan-made primarch of the Second Legion that has been adjusted by yours truly to somehow fit with this storyline.) (Canon lore describes the second primarch as quiet, contemplative and humourless. Also, based on canon timeline records, the second primarch and his legion, the Lightning Bearers, were possibly involved in the Rangdan Xenocides which indicates the possibility that events related to the war lead to any knowledge of the second legion to be expunged from historical records and memory.) (My take of the second primarch: Described as quiet, contemplative and humourless, Icarian possessed the ability to predict future events. However, instead of seeing visions of the future like Konrad Curze, Icarian instead sensed the possibility of different future outcomes that would result from actions taken in the present. During the Rangdan Xenocides, Icarian saw a future that would allow the Imperium of Man to win the war but at the cost of the complete annihilation of the Lightning Bearers. Unwilling to send his own space marines to their doom, he tried to find another way to win the war but ended up causing a disastrous chain of events that not only prolonged the war but also caused the deaths of countless people including many space marines from his own legion. Leman Russ and his Space Wolves were dispatched to assassinate Icarian and the remaining space marines who were still loyal to him as punishment for betraying the Emperor of Mankind's trust in him. The Emperor of Mankind then expunged all knowledge of the second legion and its primarch from historical records and memory out of a desire to keep the wider population of the Imperium of Man ignorant of Icarian's mistake.) (In Izuku's world, Icarian still possesses the ability to sense the likelihood of future outcomes that would result from actions taken in the present. She also possesses black hair and blue eyes. She is remorseful of her past actions and wishes to atone.)

Gwalchavad (Based on a fan-made Primarch of the Eleventh Legion that has been adjusted by yours truly to better fit with this storyline.) (Based on canon timeline records, it is possible that most of the Eleventh Legion and their primarch were slain by Russ and the Space Wolves not long before the start of the Horus Heresy) (My take on the eleventh primarch: Unlike other primarchs, Gawlchavad was a psychic blank which, in theory would make him the ultimate warrior against the ruinous powers. However, his unusually powerful ability as a psychic blank drove many to either go mad or have an irrational hatred towards him. All the primarchs, especially Magnus and Lorgar, barely tolerated him due to his nature as a psychic blank and even the Emperor of Mankind found it difficult to accept him. Only the space marines that bore his gene seed, the Wardens of Light legion, loved him unconditionally regardless of his status as a psychic blank. As a result of his bitter existence as a being that was widely despised by so many, as well as becoming increasingly weary of having his beloved legion used as seemingly expendable tools by the Emperor of Mankind, Gwalchavad turned against the Imperium of Man by essentially deserting during the Great Crusade. This act of rebellion forced the Emperor of Mankind to dispatch Leman Russ and his Space Wolves to execute Gwalchavad and many of his space marines. Due to Gwalchavad's nature as a psychic blank, the Ruinous Powers of Chaos despised his very existence and were in fact pleased that a possible thorn in their side was eliminated as a result. The Emperor of Mankind expunged all knowledge of the eleventh legion and its primarch from historical records and memory out of a desire to keep the wider population of the Imperium of Man ignorant of the Gwalchavad's rebellion.) (In Izuku's world, Gwalchavad possesses an ability that allows her to suppress the activation of quirks and even warp-related abilities. Unlike Aizawa Shouta's own quirk-erasing ability which requires him to see his targets, she can affect everyone around her but activating the ability for too long or expanding the field of effect too widely will cause her to fall unconscious due to entering a "blank state". She also possesses dark skin, black hair and pale-grey eyes. Unlike Icarian, who is remorseful of her past actions, Gwalchavad is bitter and actively despises the Emperor of Mankind.)

Lorgar (Unlike the other traitor primarchs, she is still loyal to the four dark gods of her home universe.) (She has the ability to project her soul from her body for limited periods of time. She also has the ability to influence others with her words as long as she considers the words that she herself has spoken as truth.)

Horus Lupercal (Due to being destroyed completely in her home universe, it should be impossible for Horus to exist in the other world. However, there is simply no way to be absolutely sure.)
