Chapter 4 Pool Investigation

Dipper, Mabel, Stan, and Ford took Stan's El Diablo convertible four door sedan, which he dubbed the Stanmobile to the public pool. Dipper was wearing a white tank top, his hat, brown sandals, and some red swim trunks over multiple swim trunks and a loincloth. Mabel was wearing a one piece red swimsuit with a yellow star and sandals, Stan was wearing a grey stripped swimsuit with matching shirt, and Ford was wearing a brown version of Stan's swimsuit. The little family reached the pool and got out. Dipper saw there was a fair sized crowd at the pool and wondered if he would find something mysterious or if all the weirdness reported at the pool was just people playing pranks. He and the others headed into the pool to find themselves a place to sit.
Wendy lounged out her spot at the pool making sure the pool float was positioned in front of her to hide her mermaid tail. She had been stuck in the pool for a couple of days and at first she had hated it and feared that one of the many humans that came to the pool would eventually notice she was a mermaid, but with some clever thinking and a tiny bit of mermaid magic Wendy had managed to keep her identity a secret. Many of the humans that came to the pool, specifically young men had been attracted to Wendy's beauty and she had used that to her advantage to get them to bring her food from the snack bar and to help keep her pool float in position over her mermaid tail. Wendy enjoyed the attention and it helped her get through her time at the pool. She eventually grew board and a bit daring and this gave her the idea to have some fun with the pool goers. Wendy would have one of her many admires hold her float and she would dive under the water using the little magic she had to darken the water around her tail to help conceal it as she swam about underwater and snatch the clothes off some unsuspecting victim. It was a fun little game Wendy enjoyed and it did cause some bits of panic and chaos in the pool, but it helped Wendy deal with her boredom. These hunts also gave Wendy a new bikini top that was bigger and more accommodating for her large breasts.
Wendy was slurping a soda and eating a hotdog as she looked for her next victim. She saw a family of four take some seats and took notice of a boy studying the pool and surrounding area. Wendy briefly wondered if the boy might be connected to the people that had held her captive, but dismissed the idea. The people that had held Wendy captive, wouldn't recruit a boy that age. The boy was being vigilant most likely due to the mischief Wendy had caused, if so Wendy might have a extra bit of fun and challenge with her little game.
Dipper observed the pool as Mabel took notice of a young hispanic boy wearing a white top and green trunks doing some mopping by the pool. The boy was very handsome looking and Mabel felt her heart beat in excitement as she instantly fell in love with him. Mabel headed over to the boy and introduced herself.
"Hi I'm Mabel." Said Mabel.
"Hello, I'm Mermando." Said the boy as he stopped moping.
"Mermando. That's a interesting name." Said Mabel.
"My parents loved the sea and mythical sea creatures." Explained Mermando.
"Neat." Said Mabel.
"Mermando quit talking and get back to moping!" Ordered a muscular man with short blonde hair wearing a red pollo shirt and white shorts.
"Yes Mr. Poolcheck!" Said Mermando as he went back to work and quickly moved away.
"Darn it. I'm not going to let some weird strict guy get in the way of love." Vowed Mabel as she watched Mermando walk away.
Elsewhere Wendy had one of her admirers hold the pool float as she set eyes on her first target of the day a older woman wearing a yellow polka dot bikini. She carefully swam under the water towards the woman and quickly pulled the bikini down and snatched it away. The woman quickly noticed she was no longer wearing a bikini and screamed in surprise as she covered herself getting everyone's attention as she called for her husband to get her a towel to help her get out and cover up. The husband did this as the other pool goers whispered among themselves. Dipper took note of this and scanned the crowd for any suspicious body language or farcical expressions among the crowd. He caught a glance of Wendy by her float smiling a little and took note of that.
A few minutes later a man wearing a speedo yelled in surprise as his speedo suddenly vanished and he found himself naked. Dipper saw Wendy smirking again and kept his eyes on her. He saw Wendy go under the water and then a teen girl suddenly screamed in surprise as her bikini top went missing. Dipper saw Wendy resurfaced near her floating smirking. It seemed very likely that Wendy was the culprit, but Dipper had to make sure. He got into the pool and swam near the area Wndy was at and let his guard down.
Wendy dove under the water and went after Dipper and pulled his trunks down, but was very surprised to see another pair of trunks underneath. It was some kind of trap! Wendy quickly swam away, but not before Dipper caught a glance of her red hair as she swam away. Dipper saw Wendy resurface by her float and wondered how the girl got around so fast. Either the girl was a supper good swimmer or something else was at play.
Dipper decided to get a little payback and see what kind of legs the girl had. He got out of the pool and bought himself a large chocolate candy bar with nuts from the snack bar. Dipper peeled the wrapper off and made sure no one was paying attention to him as he tossed the candy bar into the pool and it bobbed about on the surface getting wet and mushy. One kid happened to be swimming by and noticed the floating candy, which look a whole lot like a piece of poo, which sent a surge of panic and dread through the boy.
"Poo! Someone pooped in the pool!" Cried the boy.
"Gross! Everyone out of the water!" Yelled a girl.
Everyone left the pool in a panic, except for Wendy who pressed herself against the pool wall and held onto her float tightly. Dipper took note of that.
Mabel was trying to talk to Mermando again, when Mr. Poolcheck shouted orders at him.
"Mermando get the net! We got a code brown in the pool!"
Mermando went to get the net, much to Mabel's annoyance. The boy got the net and quickly removed the candy bar putting the pool goers at ease as they slowly got back into the pool. Dipper watched Wendy who remained where she was.
"What exactly are you hiding?" Thought Dipper.
