After the end of the duel against Crow the first thing Yuya did was accelerating at top speed with his runner in the direction of that red light in the sky, he knew that his friends were in danger between the Academia soldiers and Roget's guards.
"I'm coming guys!" Said Yuya
In that moment specifically Celina was powerless because of some drug they used and was barely awake, Riley was her only line of defense.
For a proud duelist like her being totally useless was an enormous defeat, but she was glad her friends were there for her in the time of need.
She never had friends back in Academia so it was a totally new feeling, she was finally starting to understand what Yuya and the others were giving their all for.
Riley fought valiantly against the enemies but he was reaching his limit.
"I... did... it... Don't worry... Celina"
... I'll protect you" Riley said between deep breaths.
Celina was astounded by Riley's skills in defeating hordes of Academia soldiers, he was incredibly strong for such a little kid, and she was also touched by his bravery in doing that alone.
"Riley... I appreciate what you are doing for me but I don't want to put you and the others in danger..." Said Celina while barely conscious.
Just then moment Riley fell on his knees exhausted, and a muscled man from Academia arrived on the scene.
Celina istantly knew who he was.
"Barret, what are you doing here?" She asked while already suspecting his answer.
"Take you back to Academia... I always follow orders with no exception." He said closing his eyes to then open them again and look at her and Riley.
"That kid is in no shape to take me on, and you aren't either, so just give up!" He said while advancing over to her.
"NO! I don't want to get back there, I've seen and heard what Academia has done and I know the truth now. I don't want to be part of the Professor's absurd ambition anymore! He's out of his mind!" Celina yelled defiantly.
With nearly no strenght left she tried to stand up, but she wasn't able to, with her eyes slowly closing in with the military man reaching for her.
"Yuya... I'm sorry, I let you and all the Lancers down..." She tought with tears starting to form on her eyes.
Just then like an answer to her dilemma a Duel Runner entered the building from the glass window, and stood between her and her assailant, the person got off the bike and removed his helmet... Yuya was finally there!
As first he looked around, and first thing he noticed was Celina in her weakened state, and quickly came beside her.
"Celina! Are you alright?" He asked in concern.
"Yuya... actually no, I was rendered weak by some gas the security used to capture me, I was able to get away thanks to Riley, he dueled just great... but he's still a kid and now he's tired after facing all of those Obelisk Force soldiers, I only wish I could help him..." She explained sadly to him. He then took her hand in his while looking directly in her eyes.
"Don't worry, this isn't your fault, if any friend of mine is in danger I'do anything to help, I'll make Roget pay for what he did, and I'll take you out of here safely! He said with newfound resolution.
She was speechless. Noone ever had called her a friend, it was a non existent concept where she came from, all she know is that she was raised as a soldier, to never show weakness, and only rely on herself on the battlefield, here Yuya was showing her a new pespective for life, just like with his Duel-taining which only recently she started to understand, she couldn't help but crack a beatiful smile, which was very rare for her.
"Yuya... Thanks..." She said with her last energies before falling unconscious.
He gripped her hand tightly before letting go, standing up, and walking in the opposite direction.
He saw Barret, reading his Duel Disk for the battle.
"Really touching moment there boy, but now step aside if you don't want get hurt."
Closing his hands in fists, Yuya readied his Duel Disk as well.
"She counts on me, I can't let her down."
"You aren't taking Celina anywhere, you 'll have to face me first!" Said Yuya with determination.
