Buggy and Mr 3 were cornered by a pack of hungry Army Wolves and backed against an empty cell.
"Uh-oh," said Mr 3. "I think we're surrounded. Well, then, we have no choice. We have to lock ourselves inside."
He then produced a wax key out of the tip of his finger.
"Right, I'll try and distract the mutts," said Buggy as he ran out in front of them, and they began to follow him. "Make it quick!"
He skidded across the snow as the Army Wolves chased after him.
"Chew on this!" said Buggy as he raised his foot. "Buggy Ball!"
He fired his special attack directly at the wolves.
"Ha, good riddance," he said.
However, the walls merely jumped out of the way before it made contact and exploded directly behind them.
"What the heck!" he cried.
He then began to run away as quickly as he could.
"Now I've done it!" said Mr 3, and Buggy skidded to a halt.
"Yeah, you did?" Buggy smiled.
Mr 3 then showed his finger, revealing that the key had snapped due to the cold. "Yep, I broke the key."
"Why are you so useless?!" Buggy roared.
The wolves then pounced on Buggy.
"Crap, it's too late!"
Mr 3 then ran towards him desperately. "Candle Shield!"
He then extended a large portion of wax, which created a barrier in front of Buggy, which the wolves slammed into.
"That was close," said Mr 3 relieved. "Come on, move. Let's make a run for the cell pronto."
"I don't think we need to," Buggy smiled as an idea formed in his head. "I just had an idea."
Buggy's idea was for Mr 3 to create a shelter for them to fend off the wolves.
"Stupid wolves!" Buggy laughed. "Try and eat us now, you frozen fleabags."
The wolves tried to bite through the wax, but it was extremely tough.
"It's no use trying to bite your way through Mr Wolf," said Mr 3. "This Candle House is as hard as iron. Even with fangs so big and powerful as yours, there is no way you'll break it."
"You said it," Buggy smiled. "Now, let's head out."
"But, of course, my friend."
Mr 3 had designed the shelter so they could move it. They had to lift it just enough so the wolves couldn't sneak under it, and then they slowly began walking away.
"One… two…" they said repeatedly as they slowly walked away.
"Maybe you're not useless," said Buggy.
"I'm so happy right now. I'll take that as a compliment," said Mr 3.
However, due to its weight, they could only carry it for a few steps before they were forced to put it down again.
"After a while, it does get kinda heavy," said Buggy.
"That makes sense. I made it thicker than usual to protect us," Mr 3 admitted.
"Oh yeah. Well, good thinking. How fast we move doesn't matter as long as we're safe. All we've got to do is make it to the stairs, and we can get out of this hell hole."
"Indeed, while we remain inside the cell, we keep out of the wind, too. It's a win-win."
"Let's move!"
They then carried the shelter once more and continued to make their way towards the stairs.
"Wait," said Mr 3, noticing something was off. "Take a few steps back, would you?"
Buggy was slightly confused but complied, and they took a few steps back from where they started.
"Something up?" Buggy asked.
"Something is odd," he said and looked through the windows. "Look outside. What happened to all of those wolves?"
Buggy looked for the windows and saw that he was right. The wolves had completely disappeared.
"You're right, they're gone," he said.
"You don't suppose they gave up?"
They then heard some sort of scratching sound beneath them.
"Do you hear something?" Mr 3 asked.
They looked down towards the ground. If it wasn't for the fact that they were standing on solid snow, they would have assumed that it was the sound of ice cracking. Then they saw something pounding against the ground and had a horrible feeling that they knew what it was.
"Uh-oh," they said, looking at one another.
Then, suddenly, the wolves were digging out of the ground beneath, and they instantly screamed. They immediately pulled the shelter up and ran for their lives.
"Since when do wolves dig underground?" they cried as the wolves chased after them.
Meanwhile, Astrid and Bon Clay finally reached the cell where Hiccup was being kept, and the prisoners just stared.
"Who the hell are they? They're both covered in blood."
Bon Clay looked ashamed. "Before I ran away and forced Lady Astrid to escape with me."
The prisoners looked quite taken aback.
"Hey, how do you two know him?" one of them asked.
"He's my captain and my friend," said Astrid simply.
"And he is my friend as well," Bon Clay added. "Dragon Boy, I'm not letting you die."
Astrid then bent down towards Hiccup, there with her eyes filled with frozen tears. "Come on, we've got to get going."
Bon Clay then used the keys to open the cell door, and both he and Astrid carefully placed him on a slab that had been found. They then walked off, but not before leaving the keys to the prisoners, who just stared at them as they wandered through the snowy tundra.
"They left the keys?" said a prisoner picking them up.
Another prisoner looked at his chains. "I never thought about breaking out of here until now."
Astrid and Bon Clay continue to drag Hiccup on the sleigh. They began their search for Mala, hoping that she would save Hiccup.
"We have to find Mala before it's too late," said Bon Clay.
"We'll find her," said Astrid confidently.
They began making their way from cell to cell, hoping prisoners would be able to point them in the right direction.
"Mala, huh? I have no idea where that crazy woman went. Who the hell wants to know anyway?"
They then made their way to another cell.
"Mala Emporio. She's probably dead."
Bon Clay and Astrid merely narrowed their eyes at him.
"What are you staring at?"
They then try their luck somewhere else.
"That woman has been missing for ages. What do you even want with her? And how did you two get out of your cells? Get me out of mine too!"
They then searched for another prison cell, but they were starting to get tired in the cold and really starting to get them.
"Do you know where they are keeping a woman named Mala?" Bon Clay asked as they approached another cell.
However, there was yet to be a reply from anyone inside.
"What's the matter with you guys?" Astrid asked. "Answer us."
"Don't bother," said a prisoner from the cell next to them. "Didn't you notice everyone in that cell is frozen stiff?"
"How about you then?" Bon Clay asked.
"Yeah, I heard ya. Said that you are looking for Mala, right?"
"That's right, you know anything?" Astrid asked.
"Look over there," he said, pointing towards a nearby forest. "You see that forest."
"Yes," said Bon Clay. "There's an abandoned jailhouse way beyond the tree line. A while back, I saw this powerful woman chopping the trees down."
"Really?" Astrid asked dubiously.
"Yeah, I think it was her. We don't get too many women down here, so I'd say it's worth a look."
Normally, Astrid would be much more sceptical, but they didn't have any more leads and ran out of time. So she and Bon Clay began to make their way towards the forest.
"Thanks, friend," said Bon Clay, looking back at him.
"We're all in this together," said the prisoner.
Astrid and Bon Clay continue to make their way to the forest.
"That forest, it's where the wolves live," said a second prisoner.
"Oh, is it?" he said, laughing.
Astrid and Bon Clay took turns pulling the sledge, and Hiccup fidgeted. That was good news as it indicated that he was still alive, though for how much longer they had no idea.
"So what do you think all these disappearances mean?" Astrid asked.
"I have no idea, but I agree with the guards that those who disappeared are still in the prison," said Bon Clay. "And I do not believe the guard's superstition about the Mala being dragged into hell. I've never met her myself, but her reputation precedes her. Even in a hellish place like this, I'm sure she can still make a miracle happen."
Astrid then noticed his hands. "You're starting to get frostbite. Are you sure you don't want to borrow my coat?"
"No, I'll be fine," said Bon Clay, looking at Hiccup. "It is your boyfriend who concerns me at this moment."
Astrid's face turned pink. "He's not my boyfriend; he just happens to be a friend who happens to be a boy."
"I've seen the way you care about him; that is more than friendship."
Fortunately for Astrid, they were interrupted when a pack of Army Wolves surrounded them, and they then pounced on them. Bon Clay dealt one of them a fearsome spear hand, and Astrid was able to kick one of them away.
The two of them took fighting stances as they faced against the wolves, but then more began to show up, and one of them launched itself at Hiccup.
"No!" Bon Clay yelled.
"Hiccup!" Astrid screamed.
Bon Clay quickly moved in with a palm thrust, knocking it aside, and a second one tried to attack him from behind. Fortunately, Astrid moved in, slamming her battleaxe against it. However, a second one pounced on her and hit her shoulder. Bon Clay wanted to assist her, but a wolf bit him on the leg.
A third wolf then attempted to attack Hiccup, only to be knocked back by Bon Clay, who then rolled across the snow. Astrid finally managed to fend off the wolf that had attacked her, and she desperately began fighting against all the wolves, protecting both Hiccup and Bon Clay.
"You won't have them!" Astrid yelled, swinging her battleaxe.
Then suddenly, her entire body turned bright blue as she unleashed bolts of lightning in every direction. The wolves stopped attacking and looked terrified when he looked at her, but she suddenly collapsed.
Wolves smiled as they began to advance, but then Hiccup got out of the sledge and glared at all of them.
"Get away from my friends!" he roared.
The wolves just stood there looking intimidated and then slowly began to collapse one after another.
Bon Clay gasped in shock.
Hiccup then coughed, and he, too, collapsed.
Bon Clay stared at them. "Who did you two—"
Bon Clay then collapsed from exhaustion himself.
Not long after that, a muscular man made his way through the snow. He had dirty blonde hair tied in a ponytail and wore leather armour, meaning he was not a prison guard or prisoner. He stopped and looked down at the three of them as they lay unconscious on the ground.
This was not good for Hiccup as he had only 26 hours before Ace's public execution began.
Meanwhile, in a storage room, Hannibal was tied up and left dangling in his underwear with tape covering his mouth. Also tidy his back was an unconscious guard also in his underwear.
'Damnit all,' he cursed.
During his battle with Bon Clay, he had transformed into Ruffnut without him knowing.
"This place is light, stupidly hot, so steamy," said Bon Clay as he found himself.
Bon Clay instantly became victim to Ruffnut's feminist wiles, unaware that she was, in fact, Bon Clay.
'Young and gorgeous, just my type,' said Bon Clay. 'She's no War Maiden, but she still hot enough to like hell on fire.' He then snapped out of it. 'Wait a minute, priorities. Where the dancing present beat up all the guards. He's got to be around here somewhere.'
He then watched as Bon Clay walked right past him. "Wait, who are you?"
"Who I am doesn't really matter right now, lover boy," he said. "Can I get some assistance here? I mean, you see how sweaty I am. Surely you can help me out of these rags, please."
He then pulled the helm off his shirt, briefly showing his breasts, which made Hannibal lose what little sense he had.
"We can do it in here, right?" said Bon Clay, looking at the gate that led to the stairs.
"Yep, one sec," he said, unlocking the gate. "Ladies first."
They then began to make their way inside, and Hannibal closed the door behind him.
"Oh my, it's dark in here. There's no need to be shy," said Hannibal. "Now, where did you run off to?"
"I'm right here," said Bon Clay, who had returned to normal.
He then pounced on Hannibal, who was distracted and tied him up. He then grabbed one of the unconscious guards and tied him along with him.
"This is the worst day ever," said Hannibal's mumbled voice. "I'll just blame it on the Warden, of course. But I can't believe a prisoner outsmarted me. When do I get to be Warden?"
Meanwhile, Magellan was in the toilet, as his battle with Hiccup had done much more damage than he had let on.
"I used too much poison," he groaned. "Oh, my tummy."
Saldeath and Blugori had managed to round up the rioters on Level II and put them back in their cells.
"That's right," said Saldeath, speaking for a transponder snail. "We have the entire place shut down. All of the prisoners have returned to their cells, and we retrieved the keys, but…" He then looked at the keys that he was currently holding. "… I think some are missing. Damnit, what a pain."
Sadie, meanwhile, was having her Demon guards and the rest of the guards search for Bon Clay on Level III.
"Listen up," she said, holding a photo of Bon Clay in front of them. "You've got to find him. He must be somewhere on this floor. Find him, and I'm going to whip the sass right out of him."
"Yes, Mistress!" everyone nodded.
Several hours later, Astrid then awoke in an unknown location.
"Where am I?" she said.
She looked down and saw that he was covered in bandages. Turning her head, she saw Bon Clay resting on a nearby bed, also wearing bandages.
"Bon, are you alive?" she said, shaking him.
"Astrid?" he said as he woke up. "Where are we?"
"I have no idea; I just woke up," she said.
"And Dragon Boy?"
"He doesn't seem to be here," said Astrid as she looked around.
Bon Clay then heard voices down the corridor. "I think I hear voices somewhere."
"I hear them too," said Astrid.
The two of them began making their way down the corridor, and it was clear that they weren't in a prison cell. In fact, it didn't look as if they weren't in prison any more, which made no sense.
As they continued going further down the corridor, they could hear voices and soon came across a door.
"This is it," said Bon Clay.
"Get ready for anything behind that door," said Astrid.
They braced themselves as they opened the door and were instantly blinded.
"So bright," said Bon Clay covering his eyes.
When their eyes finally adjusted to the light, they saw nothing that made sense. It looked as if they had entered some sort of nightclub where people were eating, dancing, and flirting.
"Well, YouTube finally decided to join us, did you?"
"You were sleeping forever. Want a drink?"
Astrid and Bon Clay were just too stunned to speak.
"Raise one of the newcomers! Cheers!"
"Cheers!" everyone cried, raising their glasses.
"We've been watching you guys on our monitors. Bravo, quite the show."
"What the…" said Bon Clay stunned.
"What's happening?" Astrid stared.
"I'll sit you," said a young lady. "Which floor did you come from, by the way?"
"We've got plenty to eat here, and I guess you're hungry."
"Where are we? Where's Dragon Boy?" Bon Clay asked.
"Is this some sort of dream?" Astrid asked.
"What did you think you two somehow magically made it out of the prison?" said a young lady at a table.
"Don't worry, you're still in Impel Down, sweetie," said her friend.
"No way!" said Bon Clay, slamming his hands on a table. "That's a lie. No one is wearing any prison clothes. Everyone is drinking and having fun. Did we wake up and wake up in some kind of paradise?"
"The last thing I remember was getting overrun by those wolves on Level V," said Astrid.
"Yes, both you and Dragon Boy were able to take them down, and after that, I passed out," said Bon Clay.
"I knew it; we're dead," said Astrid, folding her arms. "Now it's stepped into the Gates of Heaven."
"Close, but no cigar," said the voice of a muscular man. "The two of you have been sleeping like a baby out cold for 10 hours."
"10 hours? Are you kidding me?" Astrid gasped.
"Who are you?" Bon Clay asked.
"My name is Throk, and I am the one that rescued you," said Throk, folding his arms. "You're lucky the three of you didn't die from exposure."
"Wait, did you say the three of you?" Bon Clay asked.
"Does that mean you brought Hiccup here?" Astrid asked, looking around. "Where is he? You have to tell me where he is; we're running out of time."
"Patients, War Maiden," said Throk. "Let our Queen explain things to you."
He then turned his eyes towards the stage.
"And who is this Queen?" Bon Clay asked as he and Astrid followed his gaze.
The lights then suddenly turned off, and everyone stopped talking as they looked towards the stage.
"The lights are down, it's time."
"The show is starting."
"The two of you will want a front-row seat," Throk advised as he made his way to the front of the stage.
Astrid and Bon Clay looked at one another and followed him.
The curtains then pulled back, and they saw a woman with short blond hair and dressed in leather armour standing on the stage with her back towards them.
"What is this?" Bon Clay asked.
A spotlight then showed upon a mysterious woman.
"I hope that you all slept well, my darlings," she said. "Or should I say, Astrid and Bon Clay?"
"How do you know our names?" Bon Clay asked.
Everyone then immediately cheered.
"We appreciate you coming. Are you already?" she asked.
They then heard music being played, making everyone cheered even louder.
"To get here, you have to pass through the sewers of Impel Down, following past that shouldn't exist to a place beyond imagination. It is a prisoner's paradise; we have every pleasure you could ever beg for right here. Drinks, weapons, games, but most of all, we have freedom."
"Yeah, you said it! We've got our freedom!"
"The jailers are flipping their tops again," said this mysterious woman. "Prisoners have disappeared, and they have been pulled down into hell. Those fools couldn't be more wrong. We are here and living however we want! So I wouldn't exactly call this hell, would you? To some, it is, but not to us. The secret underground where dreams come true, I bid you welcome…"
The lights then turned on, shining down on the entire stage.
"…to Impel Down Level 5.5! A secret garden for all your prisoners! This is New Kama Land!"
Astrid and Bon Clay noticed that the people on stage were dressed rather strangely. Some of the men were dressed like women, and some women were dressed like men.
"They're like me," said Bon Clay.
"Not all of them," said Astrid as she looked around. "Some of the women are dressed like me."
"Mala!" the people in the crowd cheered.
"Wait, she's Mala? The legendary Miracle Worker?" Bon Clay gasped. "The queen of Defender of the Wing Island… Mala Emporio?"
