Using Mildred's newly developed equipment, Shido and Maya managed to find Lilith. All that's left now is to get in contact with her and try to learn as much as they could.

Of course, once Lilith was found, Maria and Marina informed the teams and they all gathered at the base. It was decided that only those with Spirit CR-Units would go meet Lilith.

Although she did not seem aggressive during the first encounter, they don't have any guarantees that it'll be the same this time, so it was best to be ready for anything.

"Hmm hm hmhmm "

With the Spirit CR-Units' speed, it wasn't long until Shido, Tohka, Origami and Kurumi arrived at Lilith's location. Now, they could hear her singing voice with their actual ears.

It was quite a nice voice, one they could easily imagine on a show. It even had a calming effect on them.

They landed a little away from her and then approached on foot, trying their best to not startle her. Once they were pretty close, Shido tried calling out to her.

"Lilith."

"Hm? Ah, you guys! It's Shido, Tohka-chan and Kurumi-chan, right? I don't think I met the other one before."

"I'm Origami Tobiichi."

"Then, Origami-chan. Come, have a seat. I can't offer much hospitality, but I have free time now, so let's talk."

It seemed that Lilith remembered their previous encounter, and was also willing to talk. This was just perfect.

Shido quickly looked at the girls accompanying him, and they nodded. Since she was so friendly, Shido figured they could be a little bolder.

"Actually, we're staying in the Neighboring World for a while. We've got a base not far from here, so how about we talk there? I'm sure it'll be more comfortable."

"Huh? You're staying here? I guess there is a saying that the grass always looks greener on the other side. I, for one, would love to go to your world if I could."

Although it wasn't really the intention, they already got a valuable piece of information. Lilith says she can't go to Earth, but Tenka, a fellow Demon King, did just that.

That means that it's not impossible for a Demon King to go to Earth, but something, or someone, makes them stay, or maybe orders them to. Of course, this also brings about more questions, but progress is progress.

Lilith agreed to follow Shido and the girls, so they began to fly in the direction of the base.

Once again, they confirmed how powerful Demon Kings were. Lilith doesn't seem to be particularly strong, yet she could easily keep up with the Spirit CR-Units. In fact, they all got the impression that, if they were to race, Lilith would easily win without tiring herself out.

Regardless, they made their way to the base. It wasn't long before a certain someone came into Lilith's field of view.

"Maya-chan!"

"Woah! Lilith, how have you been?"

"Honestly, it's really boring here. But I'm glad we could meet again!"

Lilith suddenly flew straight towards Maya. If Maya hadn't managed to catch her, things could have turned bad.

Well, it seems fair to say that Lilith is a kind and gentle person, but she's also a little clumsy. And, unlike Tenka, she doesn't seem to have any problems regarding her memory, though maybe that could be because they haven't been trying to trigger it.

After that, Lilith was introduced to all the other Spirit Team members. She hugged them all and added "-chan" to their names when she called them. Since most of them had only had experiences with aggressive Demon Kings so far, this was quite a breath of fresh air.

… Only Miku acted a little strange when she introduced herself to Lilith.

"M-my name is Miku Izayoi. Say, Lilith-san… is that really your name?"

"Hm? That's right."

"But you don't remember any other names?"

"No…?"

No one understood what Miku was getting at, and Miku simply said she had made a mistake and asked for everyone to forget about it. Shido thought that maybe Miku thought she knew who Lilith was, so he figured he should ask about it later.

Well, he probably wouldn't get much out of her, so he'd have to ask one of the girls to do it in his place.

Regardless, Lilith seemed to be enjoying talking with everyone. She would always answer questions when asked, and seemed to actively take an interest in the conversation. Shido decided to leave the girls to it for a while.

After about half an hour or so though, Lilith herself came looking for Shido.

"I thought of this before, but Shido really is some kind of playboy. You were with three girls when we first met, a fourth this time, and now you bring me over to a place with over ten different girls."

"N-no, it's not quite like that."

"Really? You're going to say that with those girls dressed like that? I'm not here to judge, if they're happy then it's fine. And I have to admire a man that can take care of this many women."

Incidentally, their sleepwear wasn't the only thing "extraviated" from their luggage. Other items, such as the girls' bottom pieces and bras were all gone, which forced them to wear rather… casual clothing, to put it mildly. Let's just say that, plugsuit or no, the degree of exposure didn't change much.

Even Mildred wasn't spared, which made Shido question what his mother was thinking. The only reason why Shido wasn't too surprised was because he already guessed something along those lines after the sleepwear incident, and it's already been a few days, so everyone's gotten used to it.

"Anyway, Miku-chan suggested we do some karaoke, so I came to invite you."

"Karaoke? … I'm not really a singer, but sure, I guess."

If anything, Shido was curious as to how they would do karaoke when they didn't have any microphones or equipment. Besides, while it would be embarrassing, it would probably also be fun to sing with everyone.

Shido's doubts didn't last for long though. Once he arrived at the room where the girls had gathered, he saw they had rolled up one or two sheets of paper and were using them as microphones. There was no equipment, so what they did was that they stated the name of the song they were going to sing, and got to it.

Despite the low production, it seemed like everyone was having fun. Kaguya and Tohka were doing a duet battle against Yuzuru and Origami. Kurumi sang by herself and then somehow convinced Maya to give it a go. Kotori also somehow made Yoshino and Natsumi beat their timidness and the three of them sang together.

Of course, Shido wasn't excluded, and in fact all eyes were on him during his turn. It was embarrassing, but he felt like he gave a fair performance… until Mildred went after him and made him feel like a complete amateur.

The last ones were Miku and Lilith. Miku gave Lilith a rolled sheet of paper, it seems she wanted to sing together with her.

"Lilith-san, I'm going to lead the song. You follow along, okay?"

"Hm? I'll do my best."

That seemed like it would be asking too much. How was Lilith supposed to know any random song Miku could pick from? Still, no one wanted to spoil the fun, so they let Miku do as she wanted.

Yet, unlikely as it seemed, after a few seconds and looking extremely surprised, Lilith followed the song perfectly, as if she knew it like the back of her hand.

Needless to say, everyone else was also surprised. With this, Shido was convinced. If Miku didn't know who Lilith was, she at least had some idea. While the two sang, Shido asked the girls to try and ask Miku later.

Of course, this karaoke session wasn't done after just one round. They continued to sing for a while, then they ate, and after that Lilith even took a bath with some of the girls.

During this entire time, Shido and the others kept trying to get information out of Lilith. They did it through seemingly innocent questions, sometimes suggested by Maria and Marina. While they could have tried asking directly, there was no telling how Lilith would respond, so it was best to not risk losing their best source of information.

Overall, it was a very productive day. They had one more full day in the Neighboring World before they had to return to Earth. If things kept up the way they were today, they would return with a good amount of information to Mio.

"Mmh."

At night, Shido, Tohka, Origami and Kurumi were still getting busy.

In terms of advancements, not much had happened. The biggest difference was that Shido was now taking a more active role, that was mainly due to Origami and Kurumi guiding him to that.

If not for Tohka being there and "bringing the level down" a bit, who knows how far these two would have taken Shido? Though Tohka herself also made a considerable amount of progress.

Now, she doesn't get embarrassed as easily, though she can still get quite jealous. But everything is solved with Shido giving her some attention.

Right now, Tohka was taking the next step ahead. While she didn't feel comfortable with taking off her nightgown yet, she allowed Shido to put his hands in and touch her directly. Currently, Shido was kissing Tohka while he groped her breasts.

"Ara, Tohka-san has gotten bolder. She doesn't even flinch, she's just enjoying it."

"I'm happy for her, but I can't let myself fall behind."

As they were thinking about what to do next, they heard a strange sound. It was… humming. Before long, the door to the room had opened.

Despite what she said, Lilith came walking in. It made everyone wonder what Maria and Marina were thinking when they let her in.

By the way, despite what was said before, Tohka got embarrassed when Lilith came in. It seems there's still more to be worked on. Kurumi and Origami hardly seemed bothered though.

"Oh I know. And you were trying to convince me you weren't a playboy before, Shido."

"Um, why are you here?"

Shido decided his efforts were better put ignoring what Lilith said and asking the question that was on his mind.

Their plan was for Lilith to sleep with the other girls so that they could keep talking and getting information, so she shouldn't be here now.

"Hm, I don't really know how to explain it. Ever since we went to the bedroom, I had this weird feeling. Everyone went to sleep, so I went to try and find it and ended up here."

That still didn't explain much, but at least it was a reason. Then, suddenly, Lilith looked to her side and saw Kurumi's Sephira ring.

"Is this… a Qlipha?"

"... No, this gem is called a Sephira."

Lilith seemed a bit interested in the Sephira ring. Was that what she felt? So the reason she felt something after they went to the bedroom was because of the girls' compatibility rising?

While Shido was thinking of that, Origami came closer and kissed him. Tohka had gotten too embarrassed and took some distance. Between the kisses, she talked to him.

"Shido should use his ability, let's see if it's what brought Lilith here."

She then sat on Shido's lap, her back pressing against his chest. Although Shido was a bit hesitant due to the unexpected spectator, he figured it was worth a try at least.

Shido was surprised, but so was everyone else. Should they stop it? Before they could make a decision, Lilith used her power.

"Origami-chan, please give me your spot."

"... Yes."

Origami immediately moved. Even Origami herself didn't seem to understand what she did just a second after.

Still, Lilith took Origami's spot on Shido's lap and also deepened her kiss with Shido. Before long, her clothes disappeared into particles of light, meaning she was completely naked.

Both overwhelmed and embarrassed by what had just happened, Lilith said goodnight and left. Once she was gone, Maria and Marina confirmed that they hadn't been the ones to open the door, so it seems that her power also worked with electronics.

The night passed, and so the last day of their mission in the Neighboring World began. Lilith seemed a bit awkward at first, but, after everyone talked to her normally, she went back to normal.

During the day, Shido and the girls began tidying up the place. They couldn't simply dismantle and take back the whole base, but they should at least leave it clean. Some other team would eventually come to either move it or take back the materials used so they could be stored.

After a few hours, Shido decided to ask Lilith a big question.

"Lilith, do you want to go to Earth with us?"

That's what Shido and the girls discussed with Maria and Marina last night.

Although Tenka destroyed a lot of things and was really aggressive, Lilith wasn't like that. If she would come with them, they could learn so much more about the Demon Kings.

"I appreciate the offer… but I can't. I'm not allowed. Even if I tried to sneak out, the Nibelcole-chans would go after me. And that's not the worst of it."

Shido tried to convince Lilith, or at least get her to explain what she said, but she didn't seem willing. He was about to just give up, but he figured he might as well try to get a bit more information in that case.

"These Nibelcoles, what are they?"

"I don't really know. Beelzebub-chan is the one who creates them. She doesn't really move all that much, so I could take everyone to meet her."

"Wouldn't it be dangerous? Like, couldn't she attack us?"

"Beelzebub-chan doesn't fight, her job is just to make the Nibelcoles. The Nibelcoles might be a bit dangerous for everyone but… I can take you if it's just a few people."

As soon as they heard that, there was no need to hesitate.

Shido accepted Lilith's offer and Maria and Marina began to select the members who would go.
