Chapter 637 Future Plans

"

Scarlett walked into her condo and found Jax in the kitchen. The sight of him wearing a white apron made her smile.

She put her handbag on the kitchen counter before carefully putting her arms around him to avoid putting pressure on his ribs.

"My idea of Heaven, coming home and finding you in the kitchen in an apron looking sexy as hell," she said.

"I don't mind helping out. We both work, we both eat, so we need to share cooking."

"I've never loved you more than at this moment," she teased before standing on tiptoe and kissing him. He responded by sliding his arms around her and kissing her. Scarlett felt like Heaven in his arms and she would have been Heaven in bed if it wasn't for that bastard Buck Jeffers. He still couldn't walk without pain let alone do anything more physically demanding.

"Now, I know how to stay on the good side of you," he said with a grin.

"I have been feeling guilty all day," she admitted looking up at him their arms still around each other, "about demanding you take me to Hawaii. We don't have to go. We can take a day trip or something like that."

"I'm an outlaw biker. Do you really think you could make me do anything I don't want to do?" he joked.

"You don't have to take me anywhere," she insisted. "I wasn't serious."

"I think us going on a vacation together is a great idea. In fact, I made the reservations including booking the hotel. It's a little over five weeks from now. I'll text you the dates so you can arrange coverage at your store."

"Really?" she asked smiling. "You don't mind going?"

"Having a week alone with you in a tropical paradise? How could that be bad?" he said. Since she'd mentioned taking her to Hawaii, he'd grown increasingly more excited by the idea. He'd never been anywhere tropical. The local beaches were about as exotic as it got. It was about time he saw some other sights beyond other charters.

"Now, I'm starting to get excited."

"There's just one thing," he paused. "I am not going to move on Clay until after we get back from our trip. If I go after Clay, I need to be around for the fallout."

Scarlett nodded thinking it over. "You're right. If Clay's alive, you need to be here to counter anything he might do and if he's not alive, you still need to be around. It isn't going to matter. He's not going to be doing much since he's recovering from surgery."

"The MC isn't going to be able to do much either until we recover from our injuries. If things look like they are going to get rough, we'll have to ask for help from the other charters, but hopefully, things will continue to be peaceful."

"There's nothing going on?" Scarlett asked worried.

"No, things have been quiet since we made that deal with Alvarez."

Jax didn't mention that there were beginning to be cracks in their gun supply. Too many hot spots in the world needing guns were causing their supply to dry up.

He was going to have to come up with another way for the club to earn. That needed to wait until Clay was gone because he would oppose any move to get the MC out of guns. There wasn't any point in fighting that battle now unless Clay decided to do something crazy over the gun supply problem.
