"Last time on Total Drama Canadian Travels," Chris began the famous recap. "We journeyed back to the old film lot from Total Drama Action for a nostalgia filled challenge that was simple, but oh so drama filled! The challenge was simple; find a memento from contestants of the previous seasons and bring them back to me. While most of our current cast were able to get this done, some foul play from Damiano attracted the attention of everyone. Forcing them all to come together to bring him down! But it wasn't without a cost, sort of. In doing so, he managed to snatch Tracy's item, forcing her to deal with the sudden death elimination stipulation I added onto the challenge. BUT that's not all! Damiano's little comeback tour proved to be too much for Dante to take, pushing him to make the bold move of quitting the season! But that's STILL not the end! After finding Lila's locket and holding onto it, Lucille tried her best to return it to her, but after her and Brittany's plot of using Damiano to stop the redheaded alliance, none of them believed her and they thought she stole Lila's locket instead! Tensions are at an all-time high right now, and they might just come to a boil! We've gone from eight players down to only six left in the game, and after today's challenge, we'll be left with our final five! Who will be left standing, and who will be the next to go? Episode 23: Amongst The Wreckage
Toronto, Ontario
Lucille
The violinist had cried herself to sleep after the elimination last night. She would wake up, with tear stains in her eyes as she got ready for the day.
Lin
The short girl got dressed for the day, just as she always did. But the events of last night remained in her mind.
'Brittany and Lila are probably going to be at each other's throats until one of them is gone. Question is, what is Lucille going to be doing? She actually looked at least a bit regretful over everything. Regardless, I need to keep my guard up.'
Brad
The only remaining boy wiped off his cap before putting it on and stretching.
'Five others besides myself left in the game. With Lila now with a fire in her heart, the four of us might have a chance against those two girls. I saw Lucille looking like a wreck after last night's elimination, so this may be our only chance to get rid of her or Brittany. We need to make that chance count!'
Tatiana
The tallest of the three redheads combed her hair as she pondered the events of last night. She couldn't help but smile to herself at Lila's newfound determination.
'Maybe she's finally found that confidence she was asking about before. She's eager now, so this could be our chance to take those two girls down. Just like Dad always says; once they're weak, go in for the kill!'
Lila
The newly impassioned girl held a tight grip onto her locket before putting it around her neck.
'I'm not losing her! Not again! I'll make sure neither of those two gets anywhere near that prize money! They don't deserve it!'
Brittany
The mob boss brushed her hair, tying it into its braid.
'It's almost the final five. I've been here once, and I'm not backing down now. It's game time. Those three redheads will regret messing with Brittany Drake.'
"GOOD MORNING FINAL SIX! WE'VE GOT AN INCREDIBLE CHALLENGE FOR YOU TODAY, SO MEET ME IN THE LOBBY! MCLEAN OUT!" Chris announced over the loudspeaker. The six teens left the dining room, the only thing they took with them being the eerie silence that had persisted since breakfast.
"Okay, we're gonna head over to Pearson Airport," Chris said.
"Where we will be heading to… Where exactly?" Lin asked.
"Oh, no, that's where the challenge is taking place!" Chris let out.
"Please don't tell me we're going to become airport service." Brad sighed.
"It's even better," Chris smirked.
"That does not sound comforting." Tatiana added.
The group would board the bus, and it would travel to Pearson Airport.
Once they arrived, they would be greeted by the sight of the Total Drama Jumbo Jet. Or, what was left of it.
"Wait, this wreck is still around? I figured it would've gotten cleaned up or recycled by now." Brad hummed.
"Anyway, the challenge is simple. You'll have to find the bobblehead of yours truly, that was in the flight deck. The winner gets immunity, and will be safe from elimination. It'll be a normal elimination ceremony tonight."
"You're sending us in the wreckage of a plane to search for a bobblehead figure?" Lila asked. "Isn't that ever-so… y'know, stupid?"
"Don't make me eliminate you on the spot," Chris glared at the soft-spoken girl. "Because I will if you choose to call that bobblehead stupid."
"Alright, alright…" Lila groaned.
"Your challenge starts…NOW!" Chris would blow his trusty airhorn, without wasting a second, the final six scrambled into the wreckage of the plane. The interior was covered in dust and much of the furniture and plane parts were scattered everywhere. Various dents and cracks made navigating through a bit difficult but the teens managed.
Lin, Brad, Tatiana, and Lila
Lin lifted up the broken pieces of one of the chairs that once made up the first class section after noticing something poking out of it, but only found the torn remains of Owen's old teddy bear.
"Hey."
Lin put down the pieces of the chair and turned to see the rest of her alliance, with Tatiana standing with Lila by her side and Brad searching through what used to be a vent.
"Hi." Lin replied. "Did you find anything yet?"
"No." Tatiana replied. "Not yet. But we wanted to talk to you about the next ceremony. We wanted your input as to which of those two we should take down first."
"It has to be Brittany." Lin quickly answered. "If you watched the last season, you know how dangerous she can be."
"But I want to vote for Lucille. She stole my locket!" Lila replied, her brows furrowing.
"And we'll make sure she goes down, too." Lin stated, placing a hand on the once soft-spoken girl's shoulder. "But we need to prioritize our targets. Lucille's gotten tougher since last season, but Brittany's still Brittany, and she's a lot craftier than you might expect. I know you want to get rid of Lucille, but let's try to keep things rational here."
"Right." Lila sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Right… I'm sorry, I just…"
"Don't apologize." Brad called out, crawling out of the vent and dusting himself off. "They're both going down eventually, but Lin has a point, we need to focus on Brittany. She's likely the one that came up with the idea of taking Dante's meds, and if she's willing to go that far, she might convince Lucille to do worse than that. Maybe even worse than taking your locket again."
Lila's face reddened a bit before Tatiana spoke up next. "And we'll make sure that doesn't happen by winning this challenge and taking both of them down, starting with Brittany. Now, we have our target, all we need to do now is win. Let's split up and keep looking."
Brittany and Lucille
The two girls would be searching through the renamanets of the first class area.
"Well, the other four are against us," Lucille sighed.
"But you do know that this is getting tougher," Brittany said, before noticing something. "Hey, wait a minute. I'll be back." She would head over to the bar area, as Lucille blinked, before continuing to search through the wreckage.
Brittany
The mob boss headed over to the bar area, and would smirk seeing the item.
'Perfect. This will definitely change the way for the rest of the game.' She let out to herself quietly.
Lin
The short spy took a break from her search to sit on an old crate that was surprisingly still intact.
'If one of us wins, maybe even if Lucille wins, we should be able to vote out Brittany. But even if we get rid of her and Lucille, what happens next? I would assume the alliance ends since we're at the final four, but at that point I'd have to rely on my skills against worthy, motivated opponents. I guess there's no way of really knowing until we're at that point…'
Brad
The hatted teen crawled underneath a broken wing of the plane, crawling back outside. As he stood back up to his feet, Brad dusted himself off and began looking around with only his thoughts to occupy himself.
'So we have our targets now, and I have no doubt that we can get rid of them both. But once they're both gone, I'll have to go against the rest of my alliance. Lin is both intelligent and fast on her feet, Tatiana is methodical and just as intelligent as I am, as for Lila, she is most likely the strongest of us in terms of physical strength. I hate to say it, but I think I'd hate to take her out first, but even then I would be in for a rough time regardless.'
Lucille
The violinist huffed as she continued searching through the rubble in the first class area.
'Things are only getting tougher from here.' she thought to herself. 'On the one hand, everyone else but Brittany hates me for what I've done, but I didn't steal that locket. I only kept it safe.' Tears began to prick at her eyes. 'Am I even worthy of being a tribal chieftess?' She would glance down at her promise ring, before a hardened look came on her face. 'I. Am. Worthy.'
The violinist would then search through a crate, and would grin to herself, pulling out the bobblehead. She would then grip it tightly in her hand, and make her way back to Chris.
Tatiana
The tallest of the remaining contestants hoisted herself on top of the broken plane in order to gain a better vantage point. As she looked from atop the wreckage, the bookworm couldn't help but think to herself about the challenge.
'As good as it is to think about our targets. We need to focus on the matter at hand, we need to find that bobblehead first. If it looks exactly like Chris then we should be able to spot that chin of his from a mile away. There's still a chance to eliminate one of those girls if the other manages to find it, but we can't take that chance.'
Lila
Just as Lin was, Lila decided to take a short break from her search as she sat in one of the only remaining chairs in the plane that remained intact. With a deep breath, the young woman clutched the locket that was now around her neck.
'I lost you once, Momma, and I won't lose you again, I promise! I'll win this game and I'll visit you with Dad. But I have a job to do first, and I know you're watching me up there, rooting for me!'
The redhead's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Chris' air horn.
"The challenge is over! Everyone, report back to me, ASAP!" Chris announced.
Once back outside of the plane, Chris would smirk. "Well, it seems like only one person was able to find that bobblehead. Congratulations to Lucille! You're safe, and immune from the votes tonight. Side note, if anyone does try and vote for her, you'll get an automatic vote against you. Anyways, you've got about an hour or so before the elimination."
Brad, Lin, Lila, and Tatiana
"Of course it had to come to this!" Lila groaned.
"Hey, relax, it's not the end of the world." Lin replied.
"She's right. We agreed to vote out Brittany, so this is our chance to do that." Brad added. "All we need to do is vote for her. It's 4 against 2, so there's no chance any of us leave tonight. Then from there we simply pick off Lucille. Simple."
"Alright." Lila sighed. "How do you feel about this, Tati?"
"Brad's correct. What's done is done, all we need to do is stick to the plan and we'll be fine."
Brittany and Lucille
"Congrats on winning," the mob boss smirked, as the violinist blushed.
"Thanks. So, what was it that you noticed at the bar?"
The mob boss would soon pull out the Chef Idol, and the violinist's eyes widened. "No way! This means you'll be able to choose a person automatically, while stealing the vote from the immune person!"
"Correct," Brittany nodded.
"But who will you use it on?"
"That is what we have to discuss."
Lucille nodded gently at this. "Okay."
The two girls began their discussion, though it wasn't long until Chris announced that it was time for the ceremony.
Elimination Ceremony
The final six made their way down to the campfire, an air of anticipation thick in the air as they took their seats. Chris watched them all with anticipation and his signature wide grin.
"Welcome, final six! We had a bit of a shorter challenge this time around, but it was fairly simple anyway. You all know how this works by now, or at least I hope you do. You wouldn't have made it this far if you didn't."
"Can we move this along?" Lin asked.
"Fine Ms. Sourpuss… Lucille, have you made your decision?"
"I have," Lucille nodded.
"Before you announce your choice, if anyone has an idol, please play it now," Chris continued.
"I'd like to play this," Brittany took out the Chef Idol, passing it to the host, much to the shock of Lin and the redheads.
"The Chef Idol! Which means Brittany steals your sole vote, Lucille!" Chris announced.
"That's fine, we planned this out anyway" the violinist shrugged.
"What do you mean 'you planned this out'?!" Brad asked, his eyes wide and his eyebrows furrowed.
"Shush," Chris told the hatted boy. "Brittany, please announce your choice for elimination."
"Brad," Brittany said. "My vote goes to you! You're out!"
"Even if Brittany didn't play the idol, my vote would have gone to you as well," Lucille told the hatted boy.
Brad refrained from speaking for a moment as he simply removed his hat and ran his hand down his face in exasperation with a groan. "So that's how it ends, huh?" He finally said as Lin rose to her feet.
"What?!" She shouted. "Why vote for him? You could have chosen any of us!"
"We're keeping you around, Lin. Besides, us alumni need to make it to the finale." Brittany said. "Hey, be glad we didn't go for you. Besides, we were in an alliance, remember?"
The smaller girl simply shook her head in disbelief while Tatiana looked between Brad and the ground, the gears in her head turning as she tried thinking of what to do going forward. Lila held her hand to her mouth in a silent gasp, her other hand balled up into a fist.
"Alright…" Brad said finally, standing to his feet. "If that's how things are going to be, then so be it. Just know that you just made these girls more focused and impassioned in beating you down."
"We can handle it. I'm a mob boss, remember? I can be ruthless when I want to," Brittany smirked.
"And I'm a stealth agent that is more than capable of beating a man three times my size." Lin replied. "You girls don't know what you're up against either."
"Ohh, catfight!" Chris squealed in delight. "Fitting, since the rest of you still in the game are all girls, which I think is a first for Total Drama! We're making history here, folks!"
"Can it, McLame," Brittany said. "Say bye-bye to your girlfriend, Brad, and get on out of here already."
"Neither of us are fans of that sappy stuff, McLean." Brad rolled his eyes before turning to Lin, the two shared a hug for just a moment. "You know I'm rooting for you three."
"I know." Lin replied, a bit hesitant to break the hug as Brad turned to the two red haired girls.
"You played really well!" Lila cried out, her eyes watering just a bit. "It's ever-so wrong for you to lose this way!"
"It was the only option they had. They couldn't beat us otherwise." Brad shrugged.
"It's going to be more difficult, I'm sure you're just as aware of that as I am." Tatiana said.
"And I know you're more than capable of figuring out a way to turn things around." Brad smirked. "As for me, I need to go pack my things."
"Any final words before you go?" Chris smirked.
"I've said all that I need to say. Even if I tried to say anything else you'd probably interrupt me anyway. I know you, McLean."
"You're no fun…" Chris pouted. "But now, we're down to the final five, and it truly is history in the books! 5 girls are left, and it's gonna be one hell of a catfight! Which lady will be the next to leave the competition? Find out, next time, on Total! Drama! CANADIAN TRAVELS!"
