Ivan is seen walking through the hospital as he arrives at Fang's room to see the doctors putting on an arm strap. Fang winces in pain as they get his arm in the strap.

Ivan: Guess you're all set to go?

Fang: Yep, even though I said I don't need an arm strap.

Nurse: It's just so you don't exacerbate your injury. You should be okay to take it off in a couple of days.

Fang: So basically until the festival is over? Look Doc, I have a shop to run here for the event. I can't miss this opportunity.

Doctor: I'm sorry Mr. Sanguise, but I am telling you you can't do any physical activity with a broken arm until your Aura heals it.

Ivan looks at Fang's annoyed expression and comes up with an idea.

Ivan: Hey Fang, if you want me and the others can help you with your business while you heal.

Fang: Really? I don't want to make you guys do anything you don't want to.

Ivan: Nonsense, what are friends for?

Fang: (chuckles) Very well. I'll have to teach you guys since I'm guessing that you all have done more Huntsman work than I have.

Ivan: This is true.

Fang: Well then let's get goin.

Ivan grabs Fang's jacket and weapons as they leave the hospital.

Fang: By the way, where are Bleu and Sky?

Ivan: Oh, they're at Amity Colosseum watching the Qualifiers. I told them to keep a lookout for a specific team.

Fang: Which team?

Amity Colosseum

Port: And the winner is team ARID of Beacon!

The crowd cheers for the winning team as Azure and his friends raise their arms up in victory. He then looks at the crowd to see Bleu and Sky cheering them on.

Nergal: Not bad kid.

Azure turns to see a member of team BARN.

Angie: You guys were amazing. (sniff)

Bazel: You are very well coordinated.

Azure: Thanks. You guys were great too.

Diane: What do you guys say to a nice hot meal for putting up a challenge for us?

Ratha: Oh hell yes.

Nergal: Manners, Ratha.

Ratha: Right, sorry. Yes, please.

As the two teams head to the docking bay to board an airship, Azure notices Bleu and Sky waiting by the door to an airship.

Azure: Bleu, Sky!

Bleu turns to see Azure and his team.

Bleu: And the victory goes to... TEAM ARID!

Sky: You fought well. And you worked greatly with your team.

Azure: Thank you. Hey, my team and team BARN are heading to the fairgrounds for some food. Wanna join us?

Sky: Sadly, we cannot. Ivan texted us to help with Fang's shop.

Azure: Oh.

Azure's gills drop in sadness as Diane places her hand on his shoulder.

Diane: The doubles round will start after the qualifiers are done so if you guys could make that, we'd really appreciate it.

Sky: I vow we will come to see the doubles round even if I have to drag Ivan up here.

Bleu: Easy there flyboy. We promise.

Azure: Okay.

Fang's shop

Ivan is seen carrying a massive hammer and placing it on one of the weapon racks.

Fang: Alright, now that you got the heavy weapons up on the wall, we can start getting customers.

A set of chimes go off as Bleu and Sky arrive.

Ivan: Hey there, you two. How did the match go?

Sky: Azure and his team were victorious. They'll be heading to the doubles round.

Fang: Good for them. I do apologize that we weren't able to make it.

Bleu: Don't stress about it, Fang. You've been through so much in the past couple of days.

Fang: Thanks, Bleu.

Bleu: I've been meaning to ask you, do you just sell weapons you made in Vacuo, or do you offer other services?

Fang: I can repair weapons as well as make new ones too. Or I can try to upgrade them if I have access to the right resources.

Sky: I'll bet if you had Atlas tech, that would be possible.

Fang: Yeah, sadly I don't think the General would be too keen on sharing.

Ivan: Fang! Got a customer.

Fang looks to see Blake Belladonna walk up to the counter.

Fang: Hey Blake.

Blake: Can we talk, Fang? In private.

Fang looks at his friends.

Ivan: Go ahead bud. We got this covered.

Fang: I won't be long.

As more customers arrive, Fang and Blake walk around the corner where no one would hear them.

Blake: I heard about what happened with Kayla. I'm sorry Fang.

Fang: It wasn't your fault. It was mine. I should've known that Klaw would do this to me because he thinks I abandoned him. Just like our parents did when we were young.

Blake: I've been thinking to myself. About the choices I've made in the past, and the ones I've made here at Beacon.

Fang looks at Blake as he raises an eyebrow.

Blake: I keep thinking about how foolish I was to not see the things Adam did. First I believed him when he said the humans he killed were accidents. But I was wrong. You were right to yell at me that night before you left. I was an idiot.

Fang: (sighs) Blake, we shouldn't dwell on the past. I've made my fair share of mistakes and I paid the price for them. Me leaving the White Fang put a target on anyone I cared about. I lost two friends who saw me as a father. And I saw them as my kids. Keep your friends close, and don't you ever doubt their loyalty to you.

Blake wipes her tears away and smiles.

Fang: Take care, Blake.

Fang returns to the shop as he sees Ivan handing a double-edged battle axe to a customer.

Fang: Wow, you guys are learning quickly.

Bleu: To be honest, I had to do this kinda thing back at Atlas before I went to the Huntsman Academy. It was a fun side job.

Fang: I heard it's always cold out there. Is that true?

Bleu: Not all the time. It's just kinda hard to get much sunlight when you have a floating city above your head for years.

Sky: Atlas isn't perfect, but let's be real. All the Kingdoms are the same.

Fang: How do you mean?

Sky: While the four Kingdoms have endured a long outstanding peace. The Faunus of Menagerie is left behind with only a small patch of land on a large island that is too dangerous to have more than one settlement.

Fang: I've never been to Menagerie. Believe it or not, back when I was with the White Fang I never went there because I always saw the fight was in the Kingdoms where the Faunus are constantly bullied and shunned by humans. It took time for me to realize that what I wanted for the Faunus, I wouldn't get the results I wanted the right way.

Ivan: Too bad the Kingdoms can't just call a meeting with Sienna Khan. Then again I hear she is ruthless.

Sky: She hates humanity as much as any other Faunus. I honestly don't see any chance of her seeing any reason.

The group is startled when Fang drops a large hammer on the floor, cracking the ground. Bleu notices Fang's hair and fur was starting to catch fire. Bleu knew that something was wrong but she had to get the boys out.

Bleu: Hey Sky, why don't you and Ivan head up to Amity? The doubles rounds will begin soon.

Ivan: What about you two?

Bleu: We'll catch up. I'll help Fang close up for the day.

Ivan: Alright, see you both soon.

Sky: We will save you some seats.

As Ivan and Sky leave, Bleu slowly walks toward Fang.

Bleu: Fang? Are you alright?

Fang: Why wouldn't I be?

Bleu: Please, I can tell something is wrong.

Fang turns to her with tears forming in his eyes.

Fang: Oh, because all humans can tell when a Faunus is upset!

Bleu backed away. Fang looks at the fur on his arms and tries to calm down. His fur then starts to return to normal.

Fang: I'm sorry, it's just-

Bleu: You know her don't you? Sienna Khan.

Fang: I do.

Bleu: Was what Ivan and Sky said upsetting you?

Fang: Yes and no. (sighs) She and I were close. We met during a mission to recover a Dust convoy heading for a Schnee Dust factory and we made a connection.

Bleu: What happened?

Fang: I left. I tried to ask her to come with me but, she thought her place was with the White Fang.

Bleu places her hand on his shoulder.

Fang: But the worst part is, I can almost believe what Ivan and Sky said about her. She does hate humans. But I still believe that she is capable of finding another way to make peace with humanity.

Bleu: And that is enough.

Fang: Huh?

Bleu: As long as you believe in her, there is always hope for you two.

Fang wipes his eyes and smiles.

Fang: Thanks, Bleu.

Bleu: (smiles) Now how about we go watch the tournament?

Fang: Sure, let's go.

Fang and Bleu exit the store and start heading to the airfield when Fang suddenly catches a scent. He looked to the rooftops to see if it was Klaw watching him but could not see him. The smell still plagued his nose as he takes a quick peek behind him to see someone wearing a dark cloak following him and Bleu. He speeds up to Bleu.

Fang: Go ahead to the ship. I need to get something from the shop real quick.

Bleu: Are you sure?

Fang: It's alright Bleu. Trust me.

Bleu nods as she continues to the airfield. Fang starts walking down the streets of Vale until he comes across an alleyway and walks into it. The cloaked figure follows him into the alley but then stops to look around for him.

Fang: (echoing) So my brother couldn't be bothered to face me again. Instead, he sends you to assassinate me.

The cloaked figure says nothing but Fang listens to the sound of their breathing and heartbeat as he emerges from the darkness and slams the cloaked figure against the wall. He hears the cloaked figure grunt in pain but it sounded like a woman. He grabs the hood and removes it as his eyes widen to see someone he did not expect. It was Sienna Khan.

Fang: Si-Sienna?

Sienna: Yes, it's me, Fang.

Fang releases her and backs away as she reaches for him.

Sienna: Please, I just wanted to make sure you were ok.

Fang: Ok? Ok! Tuckson and Kayla are dead, my brother killed them just to hurt me, and he broke my fucking arm! Do I look ok?!

Sienna: Please Fang, I swear I didn't know Klaw was here. I didn't think Adam called him to Vale.

Fang: Adam is here, in Vale? Where?

Sienna: I can't tell you.

Fang: Can't, or won't?

Sienna: Fang I-

Fang: NO! If you won't tell me where Adam or Klaw is, then we have nothing to talk about. You can't be here. You're wanted in every Kingdom.

Sienna: I took the risk to come and see you.

Fang: Why, so you could beg for me to come back?

Sienna: No it's just, I don't want you to get hurt anymore. Please, leave Vale before Adam sends someone after you.

Fang: What do you care what happens to me? You could've come with me when I left. Maybe my friends would still be alive.

Sienna's eyes start to form tears as she hugs Fang closely.

Sienna: Please, I don't want to lose you.

Fang hugs her back and kisses her forehead. Fang then grabs Sienna's hand and gets down to her level as he pulls out a necklace he had under his shirt. The necklace had two identical gold rings as he removed one of them. He opens Sienna's hand and places one of the rings on her palm.

Fang: Take this. As a promise to each other. That when we are both ready, we will return to each other, for good.

Sienna: Fang I... Does this mean-

Fang: Yes, I will always love you. And when this is all over. When we can finally be together, I will return to you, my love.

Sienna: And I you, my wolf.

Amity Colosseum

The crowd cheers from the current fight between Yang Xiao Long and Weiss Schnee versus Flynt Coal and Neon Katt. Weiss grimaces at him before revolving her hilt to use a white type of Dust. She aims a stream of wind at Flynt, who matches her power with his own blowing, creating a standstill until Weiss uses a mere gesture to form several more glyphs around the field. She quickly bounces off each one, striking Flynt with each attack, until she puts his foot down and starts playing once more. Weiss is still propelling herself around, but nothing prepares her for a second Flynt appearing next to the first, and then another, and another after that, each color-coordinated musician joining their waves of noise together to send Weiss flying back.

Port: (turning to Oobleck in the announcer's box, both equally shocked) What's this?

Oobleck: It appears young Flynt has just activated his Semblance! And quite a remarkable one at that. Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on Flynt Coal's Killer Quartet!

The Flynts flip their hats around to the audience, then look up at the scoreboard to see Weiss and Yang down to half their Aura levels, but still in the game. He steps forward, absorbing each of his duplicates as he prepares to finish this.

His teammate is still giving trouble to Yang, using a ramp to outrun her now red-eyed opponent.

Neon: (slowing down to admire the change) Ooh! Flashy eyes! Y'know, you're actually kinda pretty when you're angry.

Yang: (shaking her head, eyes going back down to purple. She propels herself forward using her shotgun blasts) Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!

Weiss is getting back up and sees her sword, reaching out to it only for Flynt to step on the blade. She looks up at him before their attention is drawn to their partners.

Yang: Get back here!

Neon: (rolling around Yang in a lazy circle) I wasn't trying to say that you should go on a diet, I was saying you really need to go on a diet!

Yang: THAT'S IT!

Neon: (one more quick clarification for good measure) You're fat.

Flynt looks back at Weiss before deciding to focus his attention on Yang, once more becoming four fighters and ready to blow her away. Weiss looks through the clones and sees Yang completely distracted, as well as a pool of lava bubbling away right in front of him/them. Without pause, Weiss jumps up and knocks the original into the magma just as it erupts several feet in the air.

Yang: (noticing what just happened) What?

Ruby and Blake: (simultaneously panicked) Weiss!

Bleu: Oof. That has got to hurt.

Ivan: Have you ever been burned by magma?

Bleu: No and I don't plan to.

Port: It appears we have a double knockout on our hands!

Oobleck: In fact, it looks as though Miss Schnee's Aura has been completely depleted! She sacrificed herself to take out Flynt! Wait a minute. What's this!?

"This" turns out to be Flynt, wobbly and almost at his limit, but standing back up from the smoke.

Port: Ladies and gentlemen, Flynt Coal remains standing!

Flynt begins walking toward Yang, a look of pure anger on his face.

Neon: (skating back over to her leader as he marches forward) You did it, Flynt! Don't worry about her, she's easy! But kind of annoying.

Port: (as Yang finally reaches her breaking point, fists clenching and ground trembling) Ooh, looks like Yang's angry! And you wouldn't like her when she's... upset.

Her scream of rage combining with the group of lava bursts from the rocks, she punches out several shots at the two opponents, who manage to dodge the blasts. Bleu and Sky look at Ivan with a concerned look.

Ivan: What?

Flynt: Yo, Neon, go!

He blows again and helps Neon rush forward, and Yang meets her in the waves of sound, using her shots to keep her from being pushed away as she attempts to get a hit on the girl. Failing that, she leaps out of the noise and blasts the ground where Neon is, then launching herself back to create some space. Her blasts almost gets Flynt, who's forced to change the direction of his tune and direct Neon elsewhere, still avoiding the blasts and even rolling on the debris being formed, though with a noticeably more shaky stance than usual. She rolls up on a ramp made from the debris into the geyser biome. Yang lands on the ground away from her and runs right at Flynt, rocketing forward even as he uses his Semblance once more to deliver a fourfold attack. Shooting behind her, however, provides the necessary boost to finally get close and clap her hands over the mouth of the trumpet. Less than a second of silence is broken by the musical backfire right in Flynt's face, becoming one person for the final time as he's knocked on his back and the buzzer rings.

Oobleck: Oh, sour note for Flynt!

Yang slides back from the blast, searching for her remaining opponent as Neon tries avoiding the geyser spouts.

Neon: Never miss a beat! Never miss a beat! Never miss a...

At that moment, her front wheels catch on a crack in the ground, losing her balance and causing her to shed a few quick tears.

Neon: ...beat?

Time catches up as she pitches forward, trying to roll up in a ball only to get caught in the blast of a geyser. She's helpless to do anything as Yang smirks, fires off a single shot, and hits her screaming target in an explosion of sparks and smoke, as well as a third buzzing sound. The crowd cheers as team SAFF waits for the next match to begin.
