Chaldea. An organization created for the sole goal of protecting humanity and its history. Its members consist of Fujimaru Ritsuka, who is the last master of Chaldea, the demi-servant Mash Kyrielight, the heroic spirits Ritsuka has summoned, and many others. As of now, it has fulfilled its duties as Ritsuka, Mashu, and the others have successfully brought back humanity from its demise due to Goetia's plans.
However, Chaldea would soon face something…that could change Chaldea itself as a whole…
Ritsuka let out a sigh as he looked out one of the windows of Chaldea. As he did, a few thoughts came into his head. "It's been months since the singularities was cleared, Goetia and the other pilar demon gods were defeated, and human history was restored along with humanity as well…and yet, I feel uneasy. Why?"
"Senpai? Is there something wrong?"
Upon hearing the familiar voice, Ritsuka turned to see his kouhai, Mash. "No. I'm fine Mash. I'm just looking outside."
"I see. Anyways, we should head towards the meeting room soon, or else Da Vinci will scold us again."
"Right. Let's-" Then all of a sudden, Ritsuka suddenly stopped.
"Senpai? Is there something wrong?"
Ritsuka then pointed at what he was looking at. In the distance, there was a hole in the sky. As the hole was there, something came out of there and landed onto the ground. Shortly after, the hole closed.
"S-Senpai? Did a hole just-"
"Appear out of the sky? Yes."
It was then they saw somebody come over to them, and that person was Da Vinci. "Fujimaru-kun! Mashu! There you two are! I've got emergency orders for you!"
"Is it about that hole in the sky that suddenly appeared before disappearing?!"
"You noticed that as well?! That makes things easier then! Your orders are to investigate the area of the crash site and see what landed there. Make sure to have your command seals ready in case something bad happens, got it?"
"Yes!"
(Later…)
"Phew! It's cold out here!"
"Of course, senpai! We're in Antarctica after all!" Mash said as she looked around. "Da Vinci-san! How close are we getting to the crash site?" she asked on her bracelet/communicator.
"Let's see. Judging by your location…it seems like you're getting closer! Just keep going straight and you'll be there!"
As they got closer to the crash site, they saw a person laying on the ground. When they arrived, they had a full look of the person. The person was a man with red hair, was wearing a red trench coat with white pinstripes on the side and what appeared to be black under armour, black pants, and shoes.
However, Ritsuka noticed that the person's face looked a lot similar. "Gramps?!" he looked in shock.
"Senpai? Are you alright? You looked scared for a moment there."
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine." Ritsuka slightly lied. "So…this person fell from the hole in the sky…"
"Seems so. Da Vinci-san, what do we do?"
"Is the person alive?"
Ritsuka then went over to the person and touched his neck to see if there was a pulse. After a few seconds, he felt one. "Yeah. He's alive."
"Great. Bring him to Chaldea. I have a few questions about him regarding what happened earlier. I'll send a medical team over there."
Ritsuka nodded before looking at the unconscious person once more. "Gramps…you're still alive…how did you get here? And what's with the change of clothes?"
"Uhhhhh…where am I…this place…"
"Senpai! He's waking up now!"
Upon his eyesight getting better, the man slowly woke up to see himself in a white room on a hospital bed surrounded by other people. "W-Who are you people?"
"Me? I'm Fujimaru Ritsuka." Ritsuka greeted. "The person right next to me is Mash Krielight." he said to which Mash gave him a wave. "And this person is-"
"The genius inventor, Leonardo Da Vinci!" she exclaimed proudly.
Awkward silence filled the room after Da Vinci's introduction. "Ehe. Sorry about that." Mashu apologized.
Meanwhile, the man had different thoughts. "That's Leonardo Da Vinci?! He looks exactly like the Mona Lisa! Wait, if he's here…that means he's a servant?!"
"Now, I know you may have a hard time believing it, but there's a reason why. You see-" Mash said.
"He's a servant, isn't he?"
The three were shocked at what Shirou said. "You already know what a servant is? Does that mean you're a magus too?" Da Vinci asked.
"Yeah. You too?"
Ritsuka nodded. "Who are you by the way?"
"Shirou. Emiya Shirou."
For a moment, Ritsuka was slightly shocked at his name. "Emiya? That's the same name as the red Archer, his counterpart, and the assassin. Does that mean he's related to them?"
"Anyways, where am I? The last thing I remember before passing out was landing somewhere cold…"
"Well, you're in Chaldea!" Da Vinci exclaimed.
"Chaldea? What is that?"
"Well, Chaldea is an organization founded by Marisbury Animusphere from the Clock Tower. It was created in order to protect human history from distortions in the form of singularities. What we do is that we send masters and servants to those singularities and fix them."
"I see." Shirou then turned to Ritsuka. "I suppose you're one of those masters then?"
"Y-Yes!" Ritsuka replied.
For a moment, Shirou gave Da Vinci's explanation of Chaldea some thought. "An organization designed to protect humanity and its history…that's something I've never heard of before. Especially since its founder was a magus himself…" he thought. "And, where are we?"
"Well…we're in Antarctica."
Shirou's eyes widened. "Antarctica? Are you serious?" he asked to which the three nodded in reply. "Wow…to think that I would land in Antarctica of all places..." he said. "Then again, it's pretty much like the time I ended up in the North Pole…"
"So…Shirou-san, how did you get here?" Mashu asked.
"Well…it's a really long story…and complicated…" Shirou replied. It was then Shirou's stomach growled, making him slightly blush in embarrassment. "Speaking of which, I'm hungry."
"Y-Yeah. Want to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat? I'll lead you the way."
"Sure."
Soon, Shirou got out of the bed and Ritsuka began to lead the group to the cafeteria. "By the way, we have two Archer-class servants who happen to have the same name as you, although one is an altered counterpart of the other, and we have an Assassin-class servant with the same name too. Are they related to you?" he asked.
For a moment, Shirou was slightly confused before realizing what he meant. "Ah. He must be referring to him…" he thought before answering. "Well…in a way, yes."
"I see. Although the odd thing is that he wants me to call him by his class. I wonder why…"
Soon, the group headed towards the cafeteria, not knowing who was there…or rather, what would happen next…
"Is there something wrong, Arturia? You haven't touched your food for a bit." Ishtar asked.
"Well…honestly, I'm not sure. It feels like something unexpected might happen today…but I'm not sure what."
"How can you tell?"
"Just a feeling. That is all."
"I see. By the way, your Alter is attempting to take your food again."
"Wha-hey!" she yelled as she turned to her altered counterpart.
Right now, the occupants of Chaldea's cafeteria consists of Arturia, her counterparts, Ishtar, Ereshkigal, Parvati, Illya, Kuro, Sitonai, Miyu, Astraea, Jaguar-Man, Irisviel, Kiritsugu, and EMIYA, and they were doing their own personal businesses, like Arturia and her counterparts eating their meals, Ishtar and Astraea bickering towards each other with Ereshkigal sadly stuck in the crossfire, Parvati at the kitchen with EMIYA, Jaguar-Man eating her meal, Irisviel spending time with Illya, Kuro, Sitonai, and Miyu while Kiritsugu just watches the entire thing.
It was then Ritsuka came into the cafeteria. For a moment, nothing happened as the servants were used to seeing him.
However, the moment Shirou came into the view, their eyes widened upon seeing him. Immediately, everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at Shirou. For a short while, nothing happened between the two groups.
No words, no actions, everyone was just standing still, staring at each other.
"Um…everyone, is there something wron-" Ritsuka asked, but was cut off.
"SHIROU?!"
"EMIYA-KUN?!"
"SENPAI?!"
"ONII-CHAN?!"
"SHEROU?!"
"You…" EMIYA said as his eyes widened upon seeing him.
For a moment, Shirou was completely stunned at what was in front of him. "Okay, either my mind completely broke after arriving here…or am I seeing multiple Sabers?! And two Tohsakas and Illyas?! And…is that Fuji-nee in tiger pajamas?! Wait…is that my old man, Sakura, and Luvia-san?!"
Meanwhile, Ritsuka noticed Shirou's shocked face before switching attention to the others in the cafeteria, who had the same shock plastered on their faces as well. "All of the servants here know Shirou?! How?! And…did some of them call him onii-chan?!"
"Uh…senpai, is it me, or did everyone in the cafeteria just recognize him?" Mashu asked in disbelief.
"You're not dreaming Mash. I'm seeing the same thing as well…" Da Vinci said in surprise and interest.
For a moment, nobody did anything as everyone was staring at each other. Then, Shirou decided to break the silence. "Uh…hi."
Then, without any warning, most of the female servants aside from Irisviel just lunged towards Shirou, tackling him towards the ground in a collective hug.
"Shirou! I can't believe you're here!"
"How did you get here?!"
"Where have you been?!"
"I missed you!"
"What have you been doing this entire time?!"
As the female servants were asking multiple questions at once, Ritsuka noticed that he was slowly losing breath due to the amount of weight they were putting on him. "Hey! Everyone! Get off of him! He can't breathe with all of you on him!" he yelled.
Upon hearing Ritsuka's words, they immediately got off of him, allowing Shirou some space to get up. As he got up, he took a deep breath before letting out a sigh of relief. "Now. I know that all of you people have questions and I'll be able to answer them, but can I at least sit down, please?"
For a moment, the girls beside Jaguar-Man blushed and went back to their seats in embarassement. Upon seeing this act, Ritsuka, Mash, and Da Vinci looked at the scene with wide eyes. "D-Did Shirou-san just do that instantly?" Mash asked.
"Yeah. Within seconds, he somehow managed to get the servants to listen to him. Heck, even the alters listened to his request, and that's saying something." Da Vinci said.
Soon, Shirou sat down on a nearby chair, and immediately, everyone had their attention on him. For a moment, nobody said anything until Arturia decided to break the silence. "So…Shirou, it's been a while since I last saw you. How are you?"
"Fine I suppose."
"How did you get here, senpai? Did you become a heroic spirit?" Parvati asked.
"No. I'm not dead yet."
Everyone's eyes widened upon hearing Shirou's words. "You're alive?! How did you get here then?! I thought the only way to get here was through Chaldea's summoning system, and you would have to be a heroic spirit to do so!" Ishtar said.
"Yeah. You see…would you believe me if I came here from another dimension?" Shirou asked.
The shock grew even further. "A…Another dimension?" Ritsuka said in shock.
"...Yes."
For a moment, everyone was in disbelief of his words, especially Ritsuka, Mash, and Da Vinci. "So what you are saying…is that the hole that you came out of…leads to another dimension…?" Da Vinci asked.
"Yes. As for how that happened…it's a complicated story."
As everyone was trying to process Shirou's words, EMIYA was completely stunned with what he just heard. "Did you just travel between dimensions?! Just what did you do to get here?! In fact, how did you even manage to do that?!"
"So…uhm, what are you, Shirou-san? I mean, considering that you know what masters and servants are, you seem to have some knowledge about magecraft."
"Well-"
"He's my former master during the Fuyuki Holy Grail War." Arturia stated proudly.
At that moment, Ritsuka, Mash, and Da Vinci turned to Shirou. "You were her former master? In a Holy Grail War?" Ritsuka asked.
"Is that so?" Suddenly, Da Vinci was filled with curiosity. "Do you have any skills as a magus?"
"Well, I can only do reinforcement and projection."
"That's it? No offense, but I was expecting something a bit more considering that you're a former master."
That was when Arturia got defensive. "Hey! I'll have you know that Shirou survived that Holy Grail war and won it before destroying the Holy Grail! Not to mention that he lived after going up against the King of Heroes!"
Everyone was silent after hearing Arturia's outburst. "Um…Arturia, you don't have to say that…" Shirou said with a small blush.
"You went up against the King of Heroes and lived?" Mash asked in amazement.
"Well…yeah."
It was then someone unexpected decided to enter into the conversation...and that person was Arturia Alter. "As expected from my former master."
"Huh?! Your former master?!" Arturia said in disbelief.
"Wait?! You too?!" Arturia Lily said.
"Hey! He's my former master!" Lancer Arturia yelled.
"No, my former master!" Lancer Arturia Alter replied.
"That's it! No one takes my special chef! Die Saber!" Mysterious Heroine X yelled as she brought out Secret Calibur.
"Hands off of him." Mysterious Heroine X Alter said.
"Oh come on! This is ridiculous! No one takes away my partner! He's mine!" Mysterious Heroine XX said.
As the argument between Arturia and her counterparts increased, Ritsuka and the others could not help but look in shock. "You have got to be kidding me…Arturia and her counterparts have the same former master?!" Ritsuka yelled.
"Apparently so. This is quite the coincidence." Da Vinci said. "Kind of reminds me of a comedy Romani showed me once…"
"So, Emiya-kun, what have you've been doing ever since graduating from the Clock Tower? After you left, I haven't even heard from you since then! It's like you completely disappeared off the entire world!" Ishtar asked.
"I-Ishtar, please calm down…" Ereshkigal said, grabbing her attention.
"How can I?! It's been years since I've last seen him! And now, I've only seen him after becoming a heroic spirit! Imagine my surprise to see him alive here, and still young! It's like he never aged!" she yelled before turning back to him. "So, are you going to answer?"
"Well…it's a long story…and honestly, I don't know where to start…" Shirou said with a sigh.
Before Ishtar could say anything more, Parvati came to the rescue. "Now, now, Ishtar. It's probably to let senpai tell his story when he's comfortable about it. If you continue to press the issue, it's going to be harder on him."
After hearing Parvati's words, Ishtar suddenly went quiet before speaking out. "V-Very well, but Emiya-kun, you're going to tell the whole story later. You hear me?"
"I know. And…I'm sorry for not getting in touch with all of you."
Ishtar blushed. "A-As long as you understand, then that's good…just call us once in a while…" she said before she turned away. "He still hasn't changed…"
Meanwhile, Astraea looked at Ishtar with a hint of jealousy. "That goddess! She's using her charm to get to him!"
It was then Shirou noticed that one of the Illyas was staring at him. "I-Illya?"
"I'm not Illya, call me Kuro." she replied before getting a closer look. "Hm…you look like onii-chan…but for some reason, I feel something different from you."
"Kuro! Stop staring at onii-chan!" Illya yelled as she pulled Kuro back before another Illya and another girl came in.
"Sorry about that. Kuro tends to do that sometimes when it comes to family."
"It's fine. And…who are you?" Shirou said as he noticed the other girl.
"I'm…Miyu…and believe it or not, I'm your little sister from an alternate world. And this Illya here is Sitonai."
For a moment, Shirou was stunned with Miyu's words. "Are you serious?" he asked, to which she replied with a nod. "Wow. That's a surprise."
"Yes. Especially when mother is here." Sitonai said.
"Eh? Mother?"
"That's me!" a voice said as a woman suddenly appeared in front of him. "Hi! I'm Irisviel Von Einzbern! The mother of Illya-chan and her counterparts! Considering that Illya-chan keeps calling you 'onii-chan,' that makes me your adoptive mother!" she said cheerfully.
"Y-Yes…" Shirou replied. "Wow, so she's Illya's mother…I can clearly see the resemblance."
"Kid?!"
"Shirou?"
Upon hearing the voices, Shirou saw Cu and Medusa, who happened to be at the entrance. "Lancer…Rider?"
"What the heck?! You're here too?! Damn, that's one familiar face I did not expect to see today! Did you become a heroic spirit as well?" Cu asked.
"No. I'm still alive."
Cu and Medusa were stunned at Shirou's words. "Seriously?! You're still alive?!" he asked to which Shirou nodded in reply. "Jeez, it's one surprise after another! How did you even get here in the first place?"
"Again, it's a really long story…" Shirou replied with a deep sigh. "Wait, if you're here…does that mean everyone else is here as well?"
"Yeah! Caster, Assassin, and that huge Berserker is here as well!" Cu replied before his mood dampened. "And…that asshole Gilgamesh is here as well."
Shirou let out a small groan. "Really? He's here as well?" he asked.
It was then the Arturias' and Ishtar's mood dampened as well upon hearing his name. "Yes…and his behavior is still the same…" Arturia groaned.
"Even after death, that arrogant prick is so unbearable to deal with…" Ishtar growled.
For a moment, Shirou sweat dropped after seeing their reactions before turning to Cu. "How long has that been going on?"
"Eh, about a while. So yeah, beware of-"
"Oh? And who do I see here?"
Upon hearing the familiar arrogant voice, everyone's moods dampened. As such, Gilgamesh came into the cafeteria, his usual arrogance shown on his face. "Great. Just the man we needed…" Cu said sarcastically with a growl at the end. "What do you want?"
"Oh, I was just wanting to see Saber, but imagine my surprise and disgust to see the faker right in front of me!"
Cu let out a groan. "Hey, King of Heroes. Lay off the kid. He just arrived here."
However, Gilgamesh still continued with the insults.
"How can I not?! The moment I saw his face, I knew that I'll have to deal with another worthless bug here in Chaldea!"
At that moment, nearly everyone brought out their noble phantasms and were ready to kill Gilgamesh, not caring about the consequences that came after. At the same time, they were also wondering what was Shirou's reaction to all of this.
To everyone's surprise however, Shirou just sat there in peace instead of responding, making Gilgamesh annoyed over the fact that he did not notice him. "Hey, faker. Can you hear me?"
No response came from Shirou as he just sat there.
"HEY! FAKER! ARE YOU DEAF?!"
Shirou let out a sigh. "I can hear you. I'm just choosing to ignore you."
Everyone was stunned with Shirou's words, including Gilgamesh. "You cur! You dare ignore me?!"
"Well, considering that you've been ranting like a spoiled brat who hasn't realized that he can't always get what he wants, yes. You're really annoying. If you don't mind, take your ranting somewhere else."
"Why you! I'll kill you where you stand, mongrel!" Gilgamesh yelled in anger. However, it was then Shirou began to chuckle, surprising everyone. "What's so funny?!"
"Nothing. It's just that I keep hearing that line before arriving here. And believe me, you aren't the first nor last person to say that." he said as he ended with a sigh. "If you want to kill me, wait in line, because there's a lot of people who want me dead, and you're on the bottom of the list."
At that moment, everyone was alarmed at Shirou's words, and the alarm grew when Gilgamesh was prepared to bring out the Gate of Babylon as golden portals appeared. "DIE!" he yelled.
"Gilgamesh! Stand down!" Ritsuka yelled. For a moment, everyone turned to Ritsuka. "Gilgamesh, I have no idea what happened between you two, but right now, you need to calm down in front of him! Don't make me use a command seal on you!"
For a moment, Gilgamesh stood still before growling at Ritsuka then Shirou. "Mark my words, faker. I will not forget this..." he said angrily before he left the cafeteria. As he left, nearly everyone let out a collective sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, Shirou was surprised. "Wow. You actually managed to get him to go away. I'm impressed."
"Well, I am his master after all. Although I am a bit worried that you gave him a reason to hate you…"
"Hey, he already hated me before you became his master. Adding another reason isn't going to change things…and I have a feeling that I'm going to add more reasons in the future…"
"How so?" Mashu asked.
"Well…you'll find out soon…" It was then his stomach growled again, loud enough for everyone to hear. "Oh. I forgot I haven't eaten yet."
"Yeah…" Ritsuka then turned to EMIYA. "Archer."
EMIYA let out a small sigh. "On it, master." he replied before he went back into the kitchen. As he was cooking, a few thoughts leaked out from his head. "I can't believe it. He actually managed to flip off Gilgamesh…either he's brave or suicidal. Although what Kuro said earlier about him…it is odd. He feels…different from what I remember… "
Soon, EMIYA was done cooking and placed the meal on the counter, allowing Shirou to get up and grab it. Shirou then sat down and began to eat. Eventually, he was done with his meal.
However, something unexpected happened once more.
"More please."
While it looked normal to Ritsuka, Mash, and Da Vinci, everyone else who knew Shirou saw this as an odd thing and were slightly surprised at it. "Um…am I hearing things right? Are you asking…for seconds?" Jaguar-man asked in shock.
"Yes. Why?"
"Well…it's the first time I've heard you ask for seconds. Usually, you would be done within one meal."
Shirou let out a small sigh. "I'm just really hungry, Fuji-nee. That is all."
"I see…"
"By the way…I have a question to ask you, Shirou." Da Vinci asked.
"Hm? What?"
"Well…what do you plan on doing from here? I mean, you're pretty much stuck here after all."
Immediately, everyone turned their attention to Shirou, who looked a bit stumped on the question. "I don't know actually. To be honest, I had no idea I would end up here."
"Then…why not stay here then? At least until Da Vinci finds a way for you to return home." Ritsuka asked.
Shirou turned to Da Vinci. "Can you do that?"
"Well…I'm not familiar with interdimensional traveling, but I'll do my best to figure something out."
"...Well then, looks like I'll be staying here for a while then."
"Great. Now about where you'll be able to sleep, we'll-"
"He gets to sleep with me in my room." Arturia interrupted, shocking everyone.
"Wha-?! Hey! Where did that come from?! You do realize that he's not your master anymore!" Ishtar yelled.
"It doesn't matter! Shirou is my scabbard and always will be!" Arturia yelled possessively.
For a moment, Shirou was stunned by Arturia's behavior. "I-Is this Arturia?! I've never seen her this possessive before!"
"In that case, the same thing can be said for me too." Arturia Alter interrupted.
"Hey! Who said you can first dibs on him! He's sleeping with me!" Lancer Alter exclaimed.
"And who gives you the right to do so?!" Lancer yelled.
"C-Can everyone calm down…?" Lily asked.
"Argh! We're back in this position again! This is ridiculous!" X yelled.
"Yes. It's obvious that Shirou will be sleeping in my room." X Alter stated.
"Not a fair chance!" XX yelled.
As the argument between the Arturias soon escalated, Ishtar was almost about to grab Shirou's arm, but Astraea caught it. "Oh hell no! I'm not going to allow you to corrupt him, you useless goddess!" she said.
"Huh?! The same thing can be said about you, drill-head!" Ishtar replied.
"You two calm down!" Ereshkigal yelled.
And then, another argument was made between the goddesses while the rest just watched the carnage evolve.
"Oh my! I did not know my son was that popular with the ladies!" Irisviel said happily.
"I knew it! Onii-chan is a playboy!" Illya yelled.
"To think…nee-san was after senpai all this time…" Parvati muttered.
"Kid, good luck with those women. You are definitely going to need it." Cu said as he patted Shirou on the shoulder.
"Um…senpai…I think things are going to be more chaotic from now on…" Mashu said in disbelief.
"You can say that again." Ritsuka said before turning to Shirou. "Well then…welcome to Chaldea, Shirou."
"Yeah."
Author's Note: Here's the rewrite I've been talking about. As mentioned before, things will be a bit different from the previous one. However, some things will stay the same.
