Sky opens his eyes to hear his Scroll going off and reaches for it. He looks to see the name Baron and hits the decline button. He puts his Scroll down and closes his eyes only to hear his Scroll start to ring again. He quickly turns and grabs the Scroll and presses the accept.

Sky: Not the time to call me Baron.

Fang: Uh, Sky? It's Fang.

Sky immediately looks to see it was Fang he had on the line and felt bad for being rude even though he would have done it for someone else.

Sky: Oh, sorry. What's up?

Fang: Ivan wants us to meet up with some friends at the Café. Do you want me to tell him you're not able?

Sky: No, no I'll be there. Just tell him I'll be there in ten minutes. (hangs up) Can't believe I slept through most of the day.

At the Café

Sky arrives to see his team and two others sitting at the bar as he joins them. He looks at the two girls and realizes who they were. It was Blake Belladonna and Weiss Schnee of team RWBY.

Sky: Hey, aren't you two friends with the blonde girl from the tournament?

Blake: You mean Yang.

Bleu: Sorry, he didn't mean to offend. We all were out all night.

Weiss: The Grimm were getting closer, weren't they?

Ivan: Yeah, but we managed to drive them off.

Fang: Just need to hope for the best until the festival is over. Then it's back to work.

Blake: When the tournaments over, are you going back to Vacuo, Fang?

Fang: I thought about it, but no. I have other arrangements to take care of before I go home.

Sky: Too bad, I was starting to get used to you.

Fang: Oh really. We've been workin' together for how long and you're just getting used to me?

Ivan: Well whatever you decide bud, you have our numbers if you need us.

Fang: Sounds like you're already saying goodbye.

Bleu: No, no, no, if that happens, we'll say it properly.

Fang: It's fine Bleu. I was kidding.

Suddenly the TV catches everyone's attention as they see the next fight is about to start.

Oobleck: (over the broadcast) Alright, it's now time to begin the randomization process for our next fight!

Port: It looks like our first contender is... Penny Polendina, from Atlas! And her opponent will be... Pyrrha Nikos, from Beacon!

Ivan: Let's see how this goes.

Bleu: Anyone wanna bet on who wins?

Ivan: Fifty Lien on the Nikos girl winning.

Bleu: Sky?

Sky: Sorry, I don't bet.

Bleu: Fang?

Fang: My money's on Penny.

Bleu looks over to Blake and Weiss.

Bleu: What about you two?

Blake: No offense but I'm not gonna bet on friends.

Weiss: Same here.

Bleu: Sorry, I didn't know.

Weiss: It's alright.

Oobleck: 3, 2, 1...BEGIN!

Suddenly, Penny is surrounded by Floating Array, gesturing the swords around to her command before launching a volley of them at Pyrrha, who runs towards them and leaps through or deflects each aimed blade. The swords fly into the air until they turn around and come back to the fight. Pyrrha, now having returned the shield to her back, twirls the javelin to block each sword swipe of Penny's, dropping her weapon when she needs to somersault away after being hit by a slash, only to magnetically return it to her hand as Penny readies another wave of blades.

Port: My word! What a tremendous display by Miss Polendina!

Fully glowering, Pyrrha rushes forward and jumps on an incoming sword, swinging down on Penny, only to have the assault halted by a collection of blades, though she leaps away from the retaliatory slice as Penny backs away as well. She tries to defend against the multitude of swords with the length of her weapon, but is forced back regardless, prompting Pyrrha to roll the shield from her back onto her arm with her polarity.

Fang: Woah did you guys see that?

Ivan: What?

Fang: Her shield moved to her arm without her lifting a finger.

Bleu: Could be her Semblance.

Pyrrha spins wildly as she deflects and dodges each sword, until she gets close enough to Penny to deliver a few slashes with the spear, sending her flying back as Pyrrha bats aside the blades called to their wielder's aid. Penny slides to a stop and makes a new series of motions, the weapons folding up until she's circled by several laser rifles, a few of which open fire on the approaching champion. Pyrrha avoids the blasts and fights off the remaining swords with her blade until she slides into position to charge at Penny and knock her back. Pyrrha straightens with a victorious grin that disappears into dizziness, just as she sees Penny rocketing forward, weapons firing behind her like a jetpack so she can leap into the air, then come down as an energized meteor on her opponent.

Bleu: Is she alright?

Weiss: What do you mean?

Bleu: She's losing her footing like she's dizzy or something.

Rolling back to her feet, Pyrrha doesn't expect a sword to knock her shield off, then another to do the same for her blade. She tries to get the latter back with her magnetism, but has to use the power to send a flying sword back at Penny's side. It disappears behind Penny, only for her to grin and raise her arms as several appear above her, aimed to strike.

Penny sends them all forward, few in reality and hundreds strong in Pyrrha's mind, who is left with no choice but to spread her arms and send out a magnetized shockwave. Each blade is sent reeling back to Penny, who is also unintentionally affected by the Semblance attack clutching her chest in pain. Pyrrha only has a brief moment to understand what's happening before Penny's arms are spread wide as she gasps, the strings attached to her own weapons curling around her left arm and midsection, which are crumpled by the force with the ease of an aluminum can.

There is a moment of darkness, cut by the wire slicing through the electronics in Penny's torso to reveal a shocked Pyrrha, and the entire stadium watching the now unmoving swords drop to the ground. A piece of fabric flutters to the arena floor, only to be pinned by the point of a falling blade, away from the torn halves of Penny Polendina.

Fang: What the?!

Ivan: No!

Bleu: Oh my god.

Suddenly the screen goes red as a symbol resembling the black queen chess piece is displayed on the screen and a female's voice starts to speak.

?: This is not a tragedy. This was not an accident. This is what happens when you hand over your trust, your safety, your children, to men who claim to be our guardians, but are, in reality, nothing more than men. Our Academies' Headmasters wield more power than most armies, and one was audacious enough to control both.

Fang growls in anger as Ivan and Bleu look at each other before looking back at the screen.

?: They cling to this power in the name of peace, and yet, what do we have here? One nation's attempt at a synthetic army, mercilessly torn apart by another's star pupil. What need would Atlas have for a soldier disguised as an innocent little girl? I don't think the Grimm can tell the difference. And what, I ask you, is Ozpin teaching his students? First a dismemberment, now this? Huntsmen and Huntresses should carry themselves with honor and mercy, yet I have witnessed neither.

Ivan: What the hell is happening?!

?: Perhaps Ozpin felt as though defeating Atlas in the Tournament would help people forget his colossal failure to protect Vale when the Grimm invaded its streets. Or perhaps this was his message to the tyrannical dictator that has occupied an unsuspecting kingdom with armed forces. Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue as to who is right and who is wrong. But I know the existence of peace is fragile, and the leaders of our kingdoms conduct their business with iron gloves. As someone who hails from Mistral, I can assure you the situation there is... equally undesirable. Our Kingdoms are on the brink of war, yet we, the citizens, are left in the dark.

Fang's ears perk up as he starts to hear gunfire and Grimm growling.

?: So I ask you: When the first shots are fired... who do you think you can trust?

Fang: Guys, we need to move, now.

Bleu: Why? What wrong?

The question is answered with the sound of a wailing alarm throughout Vale.

Warning Announcer: Alert. Incoming Grimm attack. Threat level: Nine. Please seek shelter in a calm and orderly manner.

Ivan: Let's move.

Fang turns to Blake and Weiss.

Fang: Blake, find the rest of your team and get to the evacuation.

Blake: You know I can fight.

Fang: Damn it Blake, for once will you just-

Blake: No!

Fang is stunned by Blake's response.

Blake: I'm not running away this time. I can do this.

Fang: (sigh) Ok. But if you need any help, just call me. I'm going to help in the city for a bit and then I'm heading to the school. There could be students that are still there.

Blake: Be careful.

Fang: You as well.

In The City

As a Grimm leaps on top of a woman, ready to bite her, a chain blade stabs into its neck and is pulled away from the woman only for it to be stabbed by another blade and disintegrates. Sky lands by the woman and helps her up.

Sky: Just call out anyone that is injured and I'll come to pick them up.

Bleu: Alright.

Bleu pulls out her Scroll and calls Ivan and Fang.

Bleu: Guys, how are things on your end?

Ivan: (on Scroll) We're being overrun. The Goliaths are coming along with the horde. Fang, behind you! (gunshots) Stay in touch in case we need to regroup.

Bleu: Alright. (hangs up)

Back with Ivan and Fang, they continue to fire at the massing horde until Ivan uses his Semblance combined with ice Dust and creates a wall of ice, blocking the horde's path.

Fang: Nice goin with that ice wall.

Ivan: It won't hold for long. There aren't any civilians here. We should head for Beacon soon. (Scroll rings) Huh?

Ivan takes out his Scroll and sees he got a text from Crimson and Yang.

Crimson: (Text) Ozpin sent Glynda and Qrow to the city and the General is mobilizing his soldiers.

Yang: (Text) Grimm and White Fang are here at the school. Need help.

Ivan turns to Fang.

Ivan: Hey, we might be heading to Beacon now.

Fang: What's going on?

Ivan: I got a message from Yang saying that the Grimm and the White Fang are there attacking the students.

Fang: The White Fang? Blake! Let's get going.

Ivan and Fang hop onto their motorcycles and head toward Beacon. Ivan tells Bleu and Sky to head for the school as they then see the Atlas ships falling from the sky.

Fang: So much for the might of Atlas.

Ivan: We can't do anything about that. Let's just get to Beacon as soon as possible.

Beacon Academy

As the Grimm and White Fang soldiers attack the school, Sky and Bleu arrive to see Blake Belladonna and Weiss Schnee surrounded by Atlesian Knights and immediately dive to them holding their weapons out.

Bleu: Blake, Weiss, get down!

Blake and Weiss drop to the floor as Bleu and Sky fly by, decapitating the drones and then landing next to the two huntresses.

Bleu: Are you both alright?

Weiss: We're ok.

Sky: You need to evacuate, now.

Blake: Our teammates are still here. We are here to fight with them.

Sky: Considering that the Atlas drones are turning against us, and the Grimm are invading the school because the White Fang are bringing them here, I think it would be best that you find your friends and get out of here.

Ivan: Enough!

Sky, Bleu, Blake, and Weiss all turn to see Ivan and Fang arriving on their motorcycles.

Ivan: Go find your friends and fight for as long as you can. Call any of us if you need backup.

Fang walks up to Blake and hands her an ammo clip.

Fang: Ready to face our brothers and sister once more Ms. Belladonna?

Blake: Yes.

The group all look to the sky to see a bullhead crashing into the school but just before it hits the ground an Alpha Beowolf lands in the courtyard.

Fang: I'll go after the White Fang. Blake, can you take care of that Alpha?

Blake: I can.

Fang: I'll come find you when I'm done.

Ivan places his hand on Sky's shoulder.

Ivan: We must uphold the title of who we are.

Sky nods as Bleu sheathes her blades.

Bleu: I'm gonna go look for team ARID.

Ivan: Alright, me and Sky will clear the landing dock.

Bleu nods as she begins her search for team ARID when all of a sudden the ground begins to shake.

Ivan: Woah, what the hell was that?

Sky: It's coming from Mountain Glenn.

The great Mountain Glenn begins to shake as the mountain itself begins to crack and shift until...
