Okay, so, Dragon Ball is out. I love the franchise, but I CANNOT deal with planet-busting creatures and the insane power creep that enemies get (looking at you, Freezer).
Naruto is also out 'cause I don't know shit. Like, never seen the anime past episode 10, and while I did get spoiled to hell and back, it's secondhand knowledge at best.
Same with One Piece, actually. Not touching that with a 10-meter stick.
Pokémon is quite interesting. I mean it's almost every child's dream, but I don't know how that will mix with a Gamer System. If I ever get the ability to world jump. That one is easily the top 1.
Danmachi is... problematic. On one side, an actual dungeon where I could essentially gain exp forever and a lot of beautiful girls everywhere. Cons are, you literally cannot LIE to the gods there, and if they ask the right questions I would get exposed. Besides going solo without a Falna to the Dungeon will just raise even more problems.
So that just leaves us with DxD. Let's be real here, it WAS going to be my choice either way: lots of magic, interesting characters, and (my personal favorite) lots of tits... An absurd amount of tits.
I actually liked the plot as well. If it wasn't for the dumbass protagonist, the anime would have been one of my favorites.

The basic race, they inhabit almost everywhere and anywhere in the multiverse, even if not the strongest, agile, or smartest among all the races, their adaptability and potential are amazing. Since the starting world is High School DxD, you have a chance of being born with a Sacred Gear.
If chosen, you will get most of your stats starting at [F, and your background will be chosen by the System.
This race doesn't come with any inborn advantages or weaknesses.

Stats of every being are divided by letters. The order of these is as follows:
[F]-[E]-[D]-[C]-[B]-[A]-[S]-[EX]
These stats are also categorized in subdivisions of - and
An example would be, that a being with every stat on [F-] would usually be a newborn, and a [S] being would be considered on par with the strongest of beings.
The EX-Stat is reserved for beings that escape the usual power level, a being that can exert its will over the universe itself. For example, Zeno-Sama from Dragon Ball Super.
It should be taken into account that different races would be unequal in strength even if they have the same stats. A human with a Magic stat of [E-] would still be weaker than a Devil with a magic stat of [E-].
Alright, I get the gist of it now. It's much easier to keep up with than everything being displayed in numbers, I guess.
Now, the human race. Seems pretty solid if a bit weak at the start, and it comes with the benefit of being able to have sacred gear too, though that's more up to chance than anything else. Let's see the others for now. Oh, and show me the ones I can't choose from too. I want to see the details.

Creatures born in the Underworld. These species are known for their sinful nature and powerful bloodline abilities.
This race comes with the chance of being born heir to one of the 72 pillars. For this, a 'Dice' will be rolled. Chances are 25/75.
If you don't succeed on the roll, you will be born either without your house's bloodline power or a newly reincarnated low-class devil. Stats will be chosen accordingly.
This race comes with racial Perks and Weaknesses.
Perks:
Magic is based on desire.
Night-vision.
Understanding of all languages.
Flight.
Enhanced senses and body.
Massive lifespan.
Weaknesses:
Great Holy weakness and Light weakness.

Hmm... It doesn't appear all that bad, but if you think about it, there is no real benefit to being a devil, for almost all of the perks there is surely a spell, except maybe Magic based on desire. Even still, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have to use calculations to cast magic, so no real advantages.
If this came with the option of being close to the main cast, it would be a lot better.

Holy beings created by the Biblical God himself. Their strength is measured based on the number of wings on their back, going from 2 to 12. They possess a great holy and light affinity.
Because these beings are created of holy and pure elements, if they were to sin, they would no longer be pure and become Fallen.
This race has racial Perks and Weaknesses.
Perks:
Great Holy and light affinities.
Flight.
Understanding of all languages.
Enhanced senses and body.
Massive lifespan.
Weaknesses:
*Sin/Temptation.
If an angel were to indulge in temptations or Sins they would lose part of their holy power and become Fallen.

The once holy and pure beings have fallen to their deepest desires, rejecting the teachings of their Father. They still retain their light affinities but have lost part of their holy power.
Even if they can still wield holy power, they are just as weak to it as Devils.

Fallen would be the middle ground here really, but if I remember correctly, they're also the weakest among the three factions.
Not to mention, all of them come with the most dreaded disadvantage: Politics.

But why are there a lot of perks on the 'Minor' scale, also, why has everything changed? Before it showed the affinities differently, right?
For your first question, most of the Perks are in the Minor category because you are only half a Mermaid, a half-bred if you will, this takes away some of the strongest perks, but it also reduces some of your weaknesses.
For your second question, the System is always updating itself. It will always try to show itself most conveniently for the user. If things change in the interface, it's to bring the most comfort and smooth experience to the User.

Even if only half, you're still a creature of the ocean. if you go around half a day without drinking water or your body is wrung dry of liquid you may experience adverse effects.
Dry Body I: you feel dehydrated, and MP and HP regeneration is halved. Stamina is reduced.
Dry Body II: You feel dehydrated, and MP and HP regeneration is halved. Stamina is severely reduced. Stats are reduced by two grades.
Dry Body III: You feel severely dehydrated. MP and HP regeneration deactivated. Stamina is severely reduced and regeneration is deactivated. Stats are reduced by four grades.
