Shout out to Zeranion, Rairaku, pyro stick figure 76, WhataGreatNamelol and a special thanks to Sakuya, 13arabba, and of course Merch22 who actually paid for , along with the people on the discord, absolute madlads.

A commission by Merch22 who requested a scenario of a duel between Shark post XYZ Dimension Invasion and Ushio Tetsu, playing well, Sharks and uh, Worms, against each other. But this time with more anime flare and not too much modern comboing.

Bully la Bully

(Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V AU)

"And there's our target, an Academia outpost."

"Fine, then. I'll head there right away."

"You should be careful Shark. This is a whole outpost we're talking about here. Even if you take others with you, it still won't be easy."

"Hmph. Who do you think you're talking to?" The dark haired teen said with a scoff, the red diamond pendant that hung from his neck glinting under the light. "This is just a regular hunt. Nothing more, nothing less."

The outpost was on fire, metaphorically speaking, when he returned.

Seriously, he was just on a regular patrol, using the new piece of tech that the Professor had supplied him, specifically him, and when he returned the whole base was filled to the brim by XYZ Scum.

So he did the only thing he knew, and took out the trash.

"Tch, so you cleaned up the inside huh. Not bad for an XYZ Scum." That was the first words that Shark had heard as soon as he ran out of the Academia base that he had finished raiding, having decided to run in by himself while the others guarded the perimeter out to prevent anyone from escaping.

But instead of finding the others waiting with a handful of defeated Academia grunts around, what he found was the desolate grounds with scattered cards and duel disk, and standing before him was a gruff man with a scar running across his cheek, sitting atop of a sleek white duel runner.

"But well, I've got what I needed. This outpost was useless anyway." The man said as he unplugged one of the Diamond branch duel disk, throwing it away as it landed on the ground unceremoniously, clattering down on the earth below.

"I'll deal with you after I'm done with everyone else. Later XYZ Scum!" The man roared aloud as he revved the engine for his duel runner, spun and rode off into the distance, while he stood there shocked with rage.

And it was that rage that fuelled him as he roared and jumped into his own dark red duel runner, the machine's engine roaring to life as he rushed to catch up to the man.

As he followed, the man glanced back and clicked his tongue, revving his engine and speeding up to lose him, only for him to go faster.

Yet when clarity fell unto him, he realised the direction that the man was headed. The Diamond base, something that was made more sure as soon as he entered the elevated highway that they had gone through to come here. The exact same route.

Did he go through the duel disk and find out the locations through there?! He needs to stop him, right here and now.

"Tch! Well aren't you an annoying brat." The scarred man clicked his tongue as he glanced behind him. "Fine then, guess we'll settle this the old fashion way!" With all of that said, the man pressed a button on his duel runner, and activated the duel runner's hidden system.

Having essentially taken control of the futuristic city that was once Heartland, of course the RnD department of the Academia had done their best to reverse engineer their technology. Something that they had done in preparation to invade this dimension, was of course, a way to hack their system.

A display appeared right in front of the XYZ duelist's duel runner, a force activation of the duel blade indicating that a duel had started, or was going to begin.

All that was left was of course, to choose who would go first, and in the case of a riding duel like this, the first corner of the long highway would do.

So both duelists raced to go faster over the other, intending to get the first turn of the duel and gain an advantage.

But of course, though the technology of Heartland was advanced, it still paled in comparison to the Academia's creation.

The white duel runner passed the corner first, and led the race between the two of them towards the now found XYZ hidden base.

""DUEL!""

Ushio Tetsu: 4000LP

Shark: 4000LP

"Ha! Looks like I'm going first!" The scarred man said with a grin as he looked back and mocked his opponent, not even bothering to properly drive his duel runner as he knew that its advanced autopilot would give him this much leeway.

And he then glanced down to the cards that were in front of him, humming as he put a hand on his chin as he thought on which ones to play. "Hm, let's go with this one then. I will summon Worm Xex from my hand!"

And he immediately played a monster from his five card starting hand, placing the card onto his duel runner's holographic duel blade, and the green X-shaped reptilian alien then emerged on his side of the field, gliding in the air as they raced on.

Worm Xex - Light/Reptile/Level 4/Effect: 1800/1000

"And I'll be using his effect!" He declared with an outstretched hand. "When this monster is normal summoned, I get to send a Reptile-Type 'Worm' monster from my deck to the grave!"

With practised ease he then took out a card to send to his grave. "I'll be sending Worm Yagan from my deck to the graveyard!" And then inserted the card to the graveyard slot of his duel runner's duel disk.

"Oh but I'm not done yet!" He shouted as he waved his hand forward. "Because I'll be using Worm Yagan's effect on the grave!" He declared as he looked back to his opponent, sending a grin his way that was returned by an angered scowl.

"If 'Worm Xex' is the only monster that I have, I can special summon this card from my grave in face-down defence position!" He shouted aloud, taking the card back from his graveyard and playing it onto the field face-down, right next to his face-up monster.

"But when it leaves the field, it's removed from play, but who cares about that." The scarred Academia enforcer said with a scoff, before he then took out more cards that he had in hand.

"Now I'll set two cards from my hand, and then I'll end my turn! Go ahead XYZ scum! Beat me if you even can!"

So Tetsu said as he then ended his turn, with two monsters on field and two set cards on his backrow, ending with two cards left in his hand.

But even then, with all the set up that he had made, Shark was not deterred in the slightest. "Hmph, then it's my turn!" He roared, revving his maroon machine as he attempted to catch up and pass his opponent. "I'll draw!" And began his turn with six cards in his hand.

"I'll normal summon Saber Shark! "The dark haired duelist roared out as he placed the card on the duel blade his duel runner projected, and the light purple shark with a gigantic black blade on its snout emerged onto the field.

Saber Shark - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 1600/1200

"And when a Fish, Sea Serpent, or Aqua-Type monster is normal or special summoned to my side of the field, I can special summon Shark Stickers from my hand!" He declared aloud as he revealed it in his hand.

From the saber headed shark's shadow then emerged a smaller slimmer monster, with deep blue colours that came from the previous monster's underbelly, now swimming in the air as if it was its natural habitat.

Shark Stickers - Water/Fish/Level 3/Effect: 200/1000

And seeing his opponent summon two monsters made Tetsuo tense, and it was only his experience on fighting XYZ Scum like the one behind him that made him raise an eyebrow, and scoff.

He turned completely to look behind, uncaring of what was ahead of him as the duel runner's autopiloting system would drive for him, and smirked as he held both hands out. "Hey, hey, it seems like you don't know how XYZ Summoning works do you? And here I thought you were, XYZ Scum. Turns out you're even worse than the bunch! WHat are you gonna do with a Level 4 and a Level 3 monster, idiot!" He mocked with a laugh.

An act that sparked a reaction from his opponent, as the dark blue haired teen grit his teeth with barely contained anger. "You-! I'll show you whose scum! I'll activate the effect of Saber Shark!" He shouted as he revved his engine to go faster.

"Twice per turn, I can target a Fish monster on the field, and either increase or reduce its level by one, but I can't special summon any monsters except water monsters!" Shark shouted loudly as his voice echoed in the desolate highway of Heartland, and waved his hand outwards towards his other monster.

"I'll target Shark Stickers, and raise its Level by 1!" With a roar from the saber headed shark, the smaller monster's level was increased as it was engulfed in a blue glow.

Shark Stickers - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 200/1000

"A Level modulation effect!?"

"I'll take the Level 4 Saber Shark, and the now Level 4 Shark Stickers, and overlay them!" The dark blue haired teen roared, and the two monsters on his field screeched as they turned into blue pillars of light, and in front of him appeared a galactical vortex of black and gold.

"I'll make an overlay network with these two monsters! XYZ Summon!" And as they moved, the two pillars of light entered the vortex of darkness, and exploded into a pillar of light. "Howl, unknown roar! Rise from the darkness of the abyss! Bahamut Shark!"

And the XYZ Monster then gave a howl that shook the decrepit remains of the buildings that they passed, spreadings its many wing like fins on its back as it was surrounded by a torrent of water, two blue orbs orbiting the newly summoned monster as it flew in the air right next to him as they raced.

Bahamut Shark - Water/Sea Serpent/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2600/2100 OV: 2

Getting out of his stupor, Tetsuo shook his head as he exuded an aura of smugness once more. Trying to act as if he was in control of the situation. "So that's your XYZ Monster huh, well too bad! I'll activate my set card!"

With a command, the Academia's prototype duel runner went in motion and swerved, turning back and drove backwards, allowing the rider to face his opponent with his full grin.

"The Trap, W Nebula Meteorite!" All to flip one of the two set cards that he had on his field, the card's projection shining on the field before him. "This card changes all face-down monsters on the field to face-up defence position!" He said with a grin.

His hand back on the throttle, he swerved his motorcycle back as he waved his hand out towards his monster. "I'll flip Worm Yagan to face-up defence position!" He said with a grin, as the letter shaped alien reptile monster was flipped face-up, standing next to its brethren.

Worm Yagan - Light/Reptile/Level 4/Effect: 1000/1800

"Tch, so you're flipping your monster, so what!?" Shark roared aloud, only for the scarred man to mock him as he waved a finger his way.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. I guess it's to be expected of XYZ Scum like you to not get the intricate plays that I'm doing. Then you best get ready for this! Worm Yagan's effect!" The rider in front of him declared. "When this card is flipped face-up, I can select a face-up monster you have, and bounce it back to your hand!"

Once more, with a mere command Tetsu swerved his bike, the duel runner automatically hitting the brakes as he drifted into a corner and taking it as an opportunity to point towards his opponent with a mocking grin. Or rather, point towards his monster.

"I'll bounce back your Bahamut Shark to your Extra Deck!" And while his Y-shaped monster shot a beam of lightning from its antennae, sending back the summoned XYZ Monster straight to the Extra Deck, the scarred man's duel runner recorrected itself as it spun back and drove properly, all while the Academia enforcer's laugh rang throughout the desolate highway.

Which served to only stoke the flames of Shark's rage, as he dealt with his monster's disappearance, pushing on with his own duel runner in an attempt to catch his prey. "If you think that that'll stop me then you're dead wrong!" He roared.

"I'll activate the Spell, White Mirror from my hand!" He shouted loudly as he slipstreamed right behind his opponent, placing another card from his hand onto his duel runner's holographic duel blade.

"Which lets me target a Level 4 or lower Fish monster in my graveyard, special summon it, then I can add a monster from my deck to my hand with the same original name as that special summoned monster!" He declared aloud, explaining the spell card's effect.

"I'll target Saber Shark, to special summon it back!" And with a wave of his hand, the blade headed marine life re-emerged onto the field.

Saber Shark - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 1600/1200

"And I'll add another copy of that monster to my hand!" Then continued resolving the card's effect as he added another copy of the monster to his hand, getting up to four cards in his hand.

"Then since I control a Water monster, I can special summon Silent Angler from my hand!" And then used one of those four cards that he had, as he summoned out a gigantic angler fish-like monster, one whose maw briefly opened to reveal gigantic shards of teeth inside.

Silent Angler - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 800/1400

"Dang it, so you could still do more?!" Tetsu silently cursed as he glanced back to his opponent, all while he held the steer of his duel runner to gain more stability on this bumpy ruined highway.

Now with two Level 4 monsters on his field, there was only one thing that Shark would do. "I'll take the Level 4 Saber Shark, and the now Level 4 Silent Angler, and overlay them!"

The dark blue haired teen roared once more, and the two monsters on his field screeched as they turned into blue pillars of light, and in front of him appeared a galactical vortex of black and gold.

"I'll make an overlay network with these two monsters! XYZ Summon!" And as they moved, the two pillars of light entered the vortex of darkness, and once again exploded into a pillar of light. "Howl once more, unknown roar! Rise from the darkness of the abyss! Bahamut Shark!"

Once more, the gigantic shark-like XYZ Monster then returned onto the field, with its summoner managing to summon it again through the interruption that his opponent had performed earlier, two dark blue orbs orbiting around the summoned monster.

Bahamut Shark - Water/Sea Serpent/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2600/2100 OV: 2

"And I will activate its effect!" He shouted. "Once per turn, I can detach a material from this card, to special summon a Rank 3 or lower Water XYZ Monster from my Extra Deck! But this card can't attack for the rest of the turn! God Soul!"

With that explanation done, the XYZ Monster roared as it spread its wing like fins, absorbing one of its two overlay materials as it used it as a cost to activate its own effect.

Bahamut Shark - Water/Sea Serpent/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2600/2100 OV: 1

Then he took out a monster card from his Extra Deck, and immediately he slammed it onto his duel runner's duel blade. "Appear! Number 17: Leviathan Dragon!" With the XYZ material absorbed by the monstrous shark, the XYZ Monster roared as a galactical vortex appeared beside him.

From it appeared a gigantic blue thing that resembled a heart, only for it to uncoil itself to reveal the large serpentine body that the monster had, spreading all three pairs of its wings as the winged dragon roared, the mark 17 shining on its curved horns.

Number 17: Leviathan Dragon - Water/Dragon/XYZ/Rank 3/Effect: 2000/0 OV: 0

"A Numbers!? That kind of XYZ Monster-! That's the rarest of them all! And you're just cheating a monster like that straight from your Extra Deck!?" Tetsu said with genuine shock, eyes wide as he watched his opponent summoned out a Numbers monster of all things straight from his Extra Deck, without even performing an XYZ Summon for it to boot!

"You're damned right I am you Fusion bastard! Battle! I'll attack that attack position monster of yours with Leviathan Dragon! Vice Stream!" And with a wave of his hand along with an order, the winged dragon spread its many wings as wide as it could as it then shot a burst of water from its maw, aiming at the attack position Worm Xex.

"Ha! You fool! Worm Xex can't be destroyed by battle while Worm Yagan is face-up on the field!" Tetsu shouted back, announcing his monster's inability to be destroyed by battle as long as its brethren still remained on the field.

"So what! You still take the damage!" Shark roared back as the attack hit the monster straight, creating a cloud of dust and shaking the duel runner that the scarred man was riding as sparks of electricity came from his steering wheel.

"Tch!" He grunted as he shielded himself from the sparks by raising both of his hands in front of him, not even caring on driving his duel runner as he held faith in its automatic driving capabilities.

Ushio Tetsu: 3800LP

"I'll set two cards face-down, and I'll end my turn." And then sending two whole cards from his hand face-down, ending his turn with two XYZ Monster, two face-down cards on his spell and trap zone, and a known card remaining in his hand. "Go ahead and do your pathetic turn!"

"Why you-! Don't get too cocky XYZ scum! At the End Phase the effect of W Nebula Meteorite activates!" Tetsu shouted back loudly, manually revving his motorcycle as he did so. "During the End Phase where it's activated, I get to change all face-up Light Reptile-Type monsters I control to face-down Defence position, then draw a card for each of them!"

And waved forwards towards the two monsters in front of him. "I'll set both Xex and Yagan back down! And draw two cards!" The two monsters alien to this dimension were then flipped down, allowing the Academia enforcer to draw two new cards.

"Oh but that's not all! Because after that, I get to special summon a Level 7 or higher Light Reptile-Type monster from my deck too!" He explained with a grin, and took out a card straight from his deck.

"What-!?" Shark gasped in shock as his opponent cackled in glee.

"Come! Worm King!" And summoned onto the field a gigantic monster that rivalled his opponents XYZ Monsters, a giant four armed bipedal alien with golden scales, the monster hissing all the while as it appeared galloping in the air as it invaded the field.

Worm King - Light/Reptile/Level 8/Effect: 2700/1100

"Then it's my turn again! I draw!" So the scarred man shouted as he drew for turn, getting a fifth card onto his hand. And the card that he saw he had drawn could only make him grin viciously.

"Looks like today's my lucky day! I'll activate the Spell, Snake Rain!" The man said with a grin, activating the card that he had just drawn off of Worm Zero's effect. "Which lets me discard a card, to send 4 Reptile monsters from my deck to the graveyard!"

Then showed one of the two cards that he had on his hand. "I'll discard Worm Queen from my hand, to send Worm Hope, Worm Jetelikpse, Worm Cartaros, and Worm Victory all from my deck to the graveyard!" He said, discarding the monster card from his hand and sending four more from his deck to the grave.

"You're sending them all to the grave? Just what are you-"

"Oh you'll find out XYZ scum, but first I'll flip up Worm Yagan, then activate its effect again!" The scarred Academia enforcer said with a wave of his hand, flipping the letter shaped alien monster back face-up.

Worm Yagan - Light/Reptile/Level 4/Effect: 1000/1800

"And when it's flipped face-up, I can select a face-up monster you have, and bounce it back to your hand! Go back to where you came, Leviathan Dragon!"

"Then I'll use my own set card! XYZ Block!" Shark shouted as he flipped his own face-down set card, revealing a trap card whose holographic projection glowed brightly as soon as it was activated.

"When you activate a monster effect, I can detach one XYZ Material from a monster that I control, to negate the activation, and destroy that monster!" He shouted aloud, and pointed towards his XYZ Monster with one hand while the other held the steer.

"I'll detach Bahamut Shark's last overlay unit, to negate Worm Yagan's effect, and destroy it!" The gigantic shark like XYZ Monster then roared as its last overlay material was used for the cost of the trap card's effect.

Bahamut Shark - Water/Sea Serpent/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2600/2100 OV: 0

And a blast of power shot from the flipped card, shooting forwards towards the flipped monster, negating its effect and destroying it. Sending it to the banishment as it was summoned by its own effect.

The scarred man clicked his tongue in annoyance having seen the chain of effect resolve. "Tch. Fine then! I'll use the effect of Worm King!" Tetsu shouted, waving his hand forward.

"I can tribute a Reptile-Type 'Worm' monster to target a card you control, and destroy it!" He shouted, waving a hand forward. "I'll tribute Xex, to target and destroy that Bahamut Shark of yours!"

The lower half of the golden alien then opened, revealing a larger mouth that it used to absorb the green reptile onto itself, and opening it again to shoot out a golden ray of energy that hit the monstrous shark XYZ Monster.

"Ha! Oh but I'm not done yet! Here's the kicker! Because I'll flip up my other set card, Necro Fusion!" And with a maniacal grin, the scarred Academia enforcer raised both of his hands up as he flipped the other set card that he had, all while said card's card art shone on the field, shining in all of its glory.

"Necro Fusion lets me Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck by banishing fusion materials mentioned on it from my graveyard face-down!" The man shouted out, and declared the target for its effect.

"I'll banish all the Worms that I have in my graveyard, and fuse them all!" The man shouted as ghastly figures of all the alien reptiles that he had in the grave briefly appeared, only for them to be sucked away in a vortex of black and red.

"Oh originator from beyond! Invade this accursed land and bring your kind glory!" He chanted as he clasped his hand. "Fusion Summon!" And brought it down, the gigantic skyscrapers breaking as if it was glass.

"Appear! Worm Zero!" And now, floating high above the sky, oozing an unknown something to the road below, was a gigantic thing whose form almost resembled a human skull. The pulsating mass floated, following its summoner as they raced.

Worm Zero - Light/Reptile/Fusion/Level 10/Effect: 0/0

And Shark could only look up towards the gigantic Fusion Monster with morbid awe, his mouth hanging open as he stared at the monster with mixed emotions. "What in the world…" he breathed out.

"This before you, XYZ scum, is your doom!" Tetsu said with a grin. "Worm Zero gains 500 attack for each fusion material monster with a different name that was used to Fusion Summon it! Meaning with six materials, it now has 3000 attack!"

The looming gigantic thing then glowed with an ominous golden glow, its attack points rising, but not enough to rival his own monster.

Worm Zero - Light/Reptile/Fusion/Level 10/Effect: 3000/0

"Alright then, Battle!" He shouted, and with a command, turned his head to look behind him as his duel runner drove on without needing his input. "I will attack your Leviathan Dragon with Worm Zero!" And the gigantic mass in the sky pulsed with power.

"Tch! Well too bad for you, Numbers monsters can't be destroyed by battle other than with Number monsters!" He shouted aloud, and the winged dragon roared along with him.

"Kukukukuku, did you think that I wouldn't know that? After how many of those Number duelists that we Academia has faced? Of course we have a way around those!" He cackled as he spread both hands wide.

"Worm Zero doesn't care for that Numbers Rule of yours! It's a card designed specifically to beat Numbers like yours! Go! Worm Zero! Otherworld Invasion!" And the gigantic mass of flesh pulsed once more, and shot out a gigantic mass off towards the duelist behind him.

And the attack hits, the gigantic XYZ Dragon was destroyed. "Guagh!" The dark blue haired boy shouted with as he held his hand up to protect himself from the cloud of dust that the attack created. The attack dealing a fourth of his Life Points as damage.

Shark: 3000LP

Yet in the heat of the duel, there was one thing that the man had forgotten, and that was the nature of the card itself.

Indeed, just as he said, his Worm Zero was specifically made to counter the Numbers Rule that Numbers monster possessed, but it also possessed another trait.

For it was a card made by the Academia to spread devastation to the XYZ Dimension, just as if they had crafted Chaos Ancient Gear Giant.

And it was exactly because of that very reason, that the devastation that the physical hologram brought to the world was far stronger than what any of them had expected.

For as the massive attack not only destroyed the serpent-like winged dragon, the attack continued and went through the concrete road below it, casting a large hole that tore through the desolate highway.

"What the-!" Shark shouted as he heard the loud sound of concrete crumbling from behind him, and his eyes went wide at what he saw. And his eyes narrowed and teeth grit as he revved his engine, using the slipstream in an attempt to pass his opponent, and run from the inevitable fate that awaited behind him.

"The hell-!" The same was done by Tetsu, as he glanced back and saw the highway that they were riding on was falling apart at the seams. "Darn it!" And did the same thing.

But the destruction didn't only come from behind them, for the shockwave of the attack also reached far further, as the cracks appeared ahead of them as well, the road ahead crumbling slowly but surely.

"Ah dang it! This is all your fault XYZ Scum!" The scarred man roared as he glared with a look of fury towards the duelist behind him, holding on to his duel runner as its automatic driving went above and beyond to ensure his safety.

Yet the duel still continued, and Tetsu still has a monster who had not attacked. "I'll beat you with Worm King!" The gigantic golden alien let out a screech as it then launched itself towards his opponent, attacking directly towards the duelist.

"Tch! Then I'll use my set card! XYZ Revive Splash!" The dark blue haired duelist shouted, doing his best under all this stress as he waved his hand forwards, flipping up his own Trap card.

"XYZ Revive Splash lets me target a Rank 4 or lower XYZ Monster in my graveyard, and special summon it! If I do, its Attribute becomes Water!" He shouted out, taking out the one legal target that he could use it on.

Done with explaining the card's effect, he raised a hand as he shouted aloud. "Return! Bahamut Shark!" And the gigantic monstrous XYZ Monster returned onto the field with a roar, though it possessed no materials to its name, summoned in its pitiful 0 defence.

Bahamut Shark - Water/Sea Serpent/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2600/2100 OV: 0

"Ugh, fine! Then I'll attack that instead!" Only for the Academia enforcer to redeclare his attack towards the revived XYZ Monster, and golden claws tore into the shark-like behemoth, shredding it into golden particles that dissipated into the air.

"And I'll-whoa!" As he tried to play a card from his hand, the turbulence of his automatic duel runner shook him, making him hurriedly grab on the steers as it evaded a crack on the road that suddenly appeared.

In doing so however, the card that was in his hand was released and flew away. Floating in the air before it fell to the ground below never to be seen again as they raced forward.

"Wha-damn it! Stupid bike! I'll set a monster, another card, and end my turn!" The man cursed as he used the remaining cards in his hand, ending his turn with three monsters, and a new set card on his field, no cards left remaining in his hand.

Had it been a less stressful situation, Shark would have mocked his opponent for what had just happened to him, but such was not to be as he used his opponent's sudden movement to pass ahead of him.

"Wha-"

"My turn! I draw!" He shouted loudly as he took a card from the top of his deck, starting off the turn with two cards in hand while he also focused on the slowly crumbling road before them.

It wasn't far further from here, the end of the highway that is. If he gets there first then-

"I'll normal summon Double Fin Shark!" The dark haired duelist roared out as he placed the card on the duel blade his duel runner projected, and the light purple and blue two finned shark appeared onto the field with its maw opened wide.

Double Fin Shark - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 1000/1200

"And I will activate its effect!" He shouted, waving an arm out as the other held the duel runner's handle to steer. "When this card is normal summoned, I can target a Level 3 or 4 Water Fish monster in my graveyard, and special summon that target in defence position, but negate its effect!"

Then the dark blue haired XYZ duelist took out a card the duel runner's graveyard slot, and revealed it to his opponent. "I'll summon Saber Shark back from my graveyard!" And once more the light purple shark with a gigantic black blade on its snout emerged onto the field.

Saber Shark - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 1600/1200

"Then I'll take both and overlay them!" Shark shouted, and the two monsters turned into blue pillars of light that entered a gigantic vortex of darkness. "Appear! Numbers 101! Unappeased Soul placed aboard the Ark. Arise from the abyss so deep not even light can reach it! Silent Honors Ark Knight!"

And the monster appeared in its fullest, taking the form of a gigantic white and purple ship, with glowing red lines decorating the gigantic vessel, sharp fins protruding from its hull as it flew in the sky.

And two glowing blue orbs surrounded the XYZ Monster in question, representing the overlay material that it possessed as it was face-up on the field as it protected its summoner in defence position.

Number 101: Silent Honor ARK - Water/Aqua/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2100/1000 OV: 2

"And I'll use its effect!" Shark declared as soon as possible, all while he drove hurriedly yet carefully around the crumbling road. "I can detach two materials from this card, then target special summoned monster you control in face-up attack position, and attach it to this card as material!"

"It does what-!?"

"Go! Eternal Soul Asylum!" The gigantic ship's glowing core shone brighter, as both of its overlay material entered into it to activate its effect.

Number 101: Silent Honor ARK - Water/Aqua/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2100/1000 OV: 0

And pointed a hand towards the monster high in the sky. "I'll attach that Worm Zero of yours to it as material!" Then glowing red tendrils extended from the gigantic ship, entangling the gigantic mass of greying flesh, and turning it into another overlay material for the XYZ Monster.

Number 101: Silent Honor ARK - Water/Aqua/XYZ/Rank 4/Effect: 2100/1000 OV: 1

"Kh! So what! Even if you get Worm Zero off of my field, you still haven't dealt with my Worm King!" The scarred Academia enforcer called out, and the golden centaur-like alien screeched out as its name was called.

And once more Shark paid him no heed, needing his full focus to both drive and duel. "I'll use the effect of XYZ Revive Splash in my graveyard!" The teen declared, waving his hand outwards as he did. "I can banish this card from my graveyard, then target a Water XYZ Monster I control, and special summon from my Extra Deck a Water XYZ Monster that is 1 Rank higher than that monster by using it as material!"

"It can do what!?"

And waved towards the only monster that he had. "I'll target Number 101, and use it to reconstruct the overlay network!" The gigantic ship was then consumed by the galactical vortex once more, turning into a giant pillar of light.

"Rank Up! Chaos XYZ Change! Guardian of souls that have yet to mature, become the dark knight and crush the light! Appear! Chaos Number 101: Silent Honor DARK!" And it then reappeared with a changed form, one whose armour's shape was extremely similar, with only the colour being different, coloured with black and shining red lines, along with a shining blue 101 in a piece of their right armour, carrying with it a crimson spear.

Number C101: Silent Honor DARK - Water/Aqua/XYZ/Rank 5/Effect: 2800/1500 OV: 2

"A Rank Up using a Trap card's graveyard effect!? What even-"

"And I will activate its effect!" He shouted aloud. "Once per turn, I can target one special summoned monster that you control, and attach it to this card as material!" He said, explaining the effect.

The dark blue haired teen then swerved on the road once more, setting the pace as he turned around a corner and pointing towards the one monster that he would attach. "I will target your Worm King! Dark Soul Robber!"

The black armored XYZ Monster's chestplate then shone, along with all the red lines that it possessed on its body, as it then raised its spear, shining crimson light towards the face-down monster, the red six armed monster briefly flashing on the field before it was absorbed and turned into a overlay material.

Number C101: Silent Honor DARK - Water/Aqua/XYZ/Rank 5/Effect: 2800/1500 OV: 3

And with no other cards that he could play, he continued on to the Battle Phase. "Battle! I'll attack that face-down monster with Silent Honor DARK! Billion Phantom Flood!" And the spear wielding XYZ Monster lines up its weapon towards the face-down monster, intending to strike it down.

And the monster was the flipped face-up, revealing a yellow creature covered in black tar-like substance that screeched as soon as it was revealed to the world.

Worm Jetelikpse- Light/Reptile/Level 3/Effect: 1200/0

"Well, Jetelikpse's effect goes! If it's flipped, when it's destroyed and sent to the graveyard this tuuuuurn-!" He shouted and held on to the steer with dear life as his duel runner swerved suddenly again. "Damn bike! I can summon it back from the grave in a face-up defence position!"

The attack continued on the now flipped monster, and the dark knight threw its lance towards it, skewering it fully and destroying it.

Only for the monster to return again, as it screeched as it was summoned in defence position.

Worm Jetelikpse- Light/Reptile/Level 3/Effect: 1200/0

"I'll end my turn." The dark blue haired teen said as he swerved right and left, keeping an eye on the falling apart road and riding as fast as he could to avoid falling into the crumbling highway.

"This dumb bike!" The scarred man shouted aloud as his own bike kept moving automatically, moving to avoid the holes and cracks that were on the road. The machine slowly heated up further than even intended as smoke started to emit from it.

After all, the internal systems for this most advanced duel runner from the Academia was a system that came from the Synchro Dimension, supplied to them by Jean-Michel Roger, a system that was based on the streamlined and straight roads of the Synchro Dimension, not the crumbling highway that they now raced on.

"Fine! I'll do it myself!" So he took control fully himself for the first time, and ignored any and all obstacles as he simply bulldozed them all by going straight as fast as he could. "Then it's my turn again, I'll draw!" The man shouted as he drew a card for turn, holding out one card in his hand.

"This is-just perfect! 'll flip up my Trap Card!" Tetsu roared as he hit full throttle, riding as fast as he could to catch up to his opponent. "Trap Trick!" He shouted as one of the set cards was flipped face-up.

"This card lets me banish a normal Trap from my deck except another one of it, and if I do, I get to set a card with the same name directly from my deck! That card can be activated this turn, and I can only activate one Trap Card for the rest of this turn after this resolves!" He shouted aloud, taking out another card from his deck and revealing it.

"I'll banish the Trap, Chain Material from my deck, to set another one straight from my deck!" He shouted, banishing, revealing, and setting the card straight onto his field in that exact order, setting the third and last copy of the card.

"And I'll immediately activate it!" The scarred Academia enforcer shouted aloud, flipping the set trap card immediately. "Any time I would Fusion Summon a monster this turn, I can remove from play, from my side of the field, deck, hand or graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on the Fusion Monster Card, and use them as Fusion Material Monsters!"

With the effect resolving, he then revealed the card in his hand that he had just drawn for turn, showing it forward as he drove forward ignoring the cracked and bumpy road. "I'll activate the Spell, Polymerization!"

And placed it right on his duel runner's duel blade, the spell card's holographic projection appearing before him as he rode. "And with the effect of Chain Material, I'll use cards that I have from my deck and graveyard for a Fusion Summon!"

Even within this precocious situation, the man still managed a manic grin as he declared the materials for his Fusion Summon. "I'll banish Worm King from my graveyard, and also more copies of Worm Queen, Worm Prince, Worm Hope, Worm Jetelikpse, Worm Cartaros, Worm Victory, Worm Xex, Worm Yagan, and Worm Apocalypse from my deck!"

All the aforementioned Worms then briefly appeared onto the field, all surrounded by a purple aura as they all let out their respective screeches. "And I'll fuse all of them! "

He then raised an arm, the other not letting go of the steer as he chanted the summoning chant. "Oh originator from beyond! Return and invade this accursed land and bring your kind glory! Fusion Summon!" And brought it down, as all the monster's forms distorted and fused along with the blue and orange vortex.

"Appear once more! Worm Zero!" With the chant completed a second copy of the monster then took from high above the city's skylines, the gigantic skull-like monster looming over them all.

Worm Zero - Light/Reptile/Fusion/Level 10/Effect: 0/0

"And this time, I used ten whole different Worms for its Fusion Summon!" The man shouted as he revved his engine, glancing back to see the falling road that was slowly catching up to him as he clicked his tongue and ignored the cracks and bumps in front of him. "Its attack becomes 5000!"

The gigantic monster that loomed over them all glowed with eerie light, the monster's attack reaching even greater heights than before.

Worm Zero - Light/Reptile/Fusion/Level 10/Effect: 5000/0

"5000 attack!" Shark said with gritted teeth.

"Now battle! Destroy that monster of his! Worm Zero!" And the gigantic mass in the sky pulsed with power, and shot out a gigantic mass off towards the armour-clad XYZ Monster on his opponent's side of the field.

"GAAAAAAGH!" The dark haired teen shouted in pain as the attack landed on his monster, with it guarding him from the brunt of the attack, yet he still took an incredible amount of damage. With smoke coming out from his own duel runner, as he spun out, creeping closer to the edge of the highway. And the attack itself crumbling another section of the highway.

Shark: 800LP

"Hahahaha! Good luck getting out of this one XYZ Scum!" The scarred man laughed, looking back towards his opponent with a large maniacal grin on his face. A laugh that stumbled as soon as he hit several bumps and almost fell off from his duel runner.

But the result was still the same, he had passed his opponent and was now gaining ground further towards the goal that, the last shelter that the Diamonds have. As soon as he reached it, and his signal would reach out to the Fusion Dimension then-

"Kuh! I'll use the effect of Silent Honor DARK!" The dark blue haired teen shouted as he hurriedly reactivated his duel runner, rushing forward as he almost fell along with the crumbling highway.

"When this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard while it has material, and 'Number 101: Silent Honor ARK' is in my graveyard, I can special summon it from the grave, and gain Life Points equal to the original attack of this card!" He shouted as he pushed his duel runner to its limits, with a cloud of smoke bursting from the machine and hitting him directly on the face.

"Gah! R-Return From Limbo!" He managed out as he kept driving, pushing through the mechanical problem as the gigantic lance wielding monster once more returned onto the field, this time in defence position.

Number C101: Silent Honor DARK - Water/Aqua/XYZ/Rank 5/Effect: 2800/1500 OV: 0

And said monster then raised its weapon as a green glow emanated from it, Life Points returning to its summoner according to its original attack points. Going to almost full Life Points.

Shark: 3600LP

"What-!? Tch!" The man glanced back and clicked his tongue. He looked forward and saw that the end of the highway was near, along with the base. He just needed to lose him-

And an idea came to the front of his mind. If the monster's attack could destroy the road then- "I'll use Worm Zero's effect!" He shouted.

"What!?"

"Worm Zero gains effects equal to the amount of materials that its Fusion Summoned with! Since I used four materials, I can remove from play a Reptile-Type monster from my graveyard, to send a monster on the field to the grave!" The man shouted aloud, raising a hand upwards towards the gigantic mass in the sky.

"I'll remove the other Worm Zero that's now in my graveyard, to send that XYZ Monster of yours to the grave!" The man said as he accelerated on his motorcycle, the gigantic mass high above him pulsing as it shot out a pillar of grey gooey flesh towards his armored XYZ Monster, sending it straight to the graveyard without even targeting it.

"Tch!"

But more important than removing the monster in a way that it would not return however, was the destruction that it did, as the effect's activation destroyed the road that was between him and the XYZ duelist.

"What-!?"

"Ha! Good luck with that XYZ Scum! It's my win!" Tetsu shouted as he laughed, riding off with a large grin as he headed towards the Diamond Base.

"But I guess just to be save, I'll use Worm Zero's other effect since i used six or more material to draw a card." The man said with a smug smile as he drew a card with the Fusion Monster's effect. "And would you look at that! I'll set a card face-down and end my turn. Not that it'll matter! Gahahahaha!"

And he rode off, with no cards in hand, a looming Fusion Monster, and a single set card on his spell and trap zone.

But his laughter died off as he heard the sound of a roaring engine, going louder and louder, and he glanced behind him to check on his opponent. "What the-"

And saw the dark blue haired teen riding on his dark red duel runner, flying in the air as he had used a piece of falling rubble as a ramp. He gaped as he watched him flew, and landed right nearing the edge of the crumbling highway. A cloud of smoke coming out from the duel runner's engine, along with several scrapes and dents on the machine thanks to its rough landing.

"You-YOU'RE CRAZY!"

"SHUT UP! MY TURN! I DRAW!" Shark roared out as he drew a card for turn, having won a large gamble and drew a card for his turn, starting out with two cards in hand. "I'LL USE THE SPELL, WHITE MIRROR! I'LL SUMMON BACK SILENT ANGLER AND ADD ANOTHER ONE TO MY HAND!"

And summoned back the gigantic angler fish-like monster, one whose maw briefly opened to reveal gigantic shards of teeth inside.

Silent Angler - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 800/1400

"THEN I'LL NORMAL SUMMON SABER SHARK! "The dark haired duelist roared out as he placed the card on the duel blade his duel runner projected, and the light purple shark with a gigantic black blade on its snout emerged onto the field.

Saber Shark - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 1600/1200

"AND-and I'll summon the Silent Angler in my hand!" Then gained back the veneer of calm as he summoned the second copy of the angler fish-like monster.

Silent Angler - Water/Fish/Level 4/Effect: 800/1400

"Three whole Level 4s!? Don't tell me you still have something else!?"

"I'll overlay the two Level 4 Silent Anglers and the Level 4 Saber Shark!" Shark took all three Level 4 monsters that he had on his field, and used them all. All three of them turned into dark blue pillars of lights that criss-crossed one another as they entered the black and golden galactical vortex that, for the third time, appeared in the center of the field.

"I'll make another overlay network with all three of these monsters! XYZ Summon!" And with that declaration as the three motes of lights completely entered the galactical vortex, it erupted into a blinding golden explosion of light.

"Deep sea emperor who holds the greatest power! Bite everything into pieces with your fangs!" The teen shouted out his chant, and brought down his raised hand as he then completed said chant.

"Come forth, Number 32!" Shark shouted once again, and a different marking shone on the back of his right hand, one similar to that of the number 32. "Marine Biting Dragon - Shark Drake!"

And from the depths of the galactical black and golden vortex came a new XYZ Monster, one taking the form of a monstrous bipedal sea creature with giant wing-like fins on its back, and sharp long claws. The number 32 shone on the monster's left chest as its maw opened to let out a ground shaking roar.

Number 32: Shark Drake - Water/XYZ/Sea Serpent/Rank 4/Effect: 2800/2100 OV: 3

"Another damned Number-"

"And I'll take this monster, and use it to remake the overlay network again!" He shouted out, continuing with his turn as he chased after his opponent. The gigantic red shark roaring as it re-rented the appearing vortex below it.

"Chaos XYZ Change! Appear! Number C32! Shark Drake Veiss!" And emerged once more, this time its colours were changed, the blood red that it once had was changed to bone white, with lines of purple and bright glowing orbs along its body, the mark of 32 shining ominously as the monster was reborn.

Number C32: Shark Drake Veiss - Water/XYZ/Sea Serpent/Rank 4/Effect: 2800/2100 OV: 4

"A chaos form?! Without needing one of those Rank-Up Magic too!?"

"If summoned this way, I can pay Life Points until I reach 1000, banish a monster from my graveyard and detach a material from this card, then target a face-up monster on the field, and change its attack and defence to 0!" He shouted, explaining its effect.

"Kuh! A-and I'll banish Leviathan Dragon from my graveyard!" Shark grunted as his Life Points was lowered once more, and banishes the said card from his graveyard, along with the gigantic white monster using one of its three materials.

Shark: 1000LP

And the gigantic white monster absorbed one of its four whole XYZ Material, using it to activate its effect.

Number C32: Shark Drake Veiss - Water/XYZ/Sea Serpent/Rank 4/Effect: 2800/2100 OV: 3

"I'll reduce Worm Zero's attack to zero!" And the white shark let out a ground shaking roar, causing more cracks to appear on the already beaten road as it lowered both the Fusion Monster's attack and non-existent defence to zero.

Worm Zero - Light/Reptile/Fusion/Level 10/Effect: 0/0

"Now battle! GO! Attack! Shark Drake Veiss! Depth Chaos Bite!" And with the dark blue haired order, for the third time of the game, the winged chaos skinned Sea Serpent roared, and shot a wave of jetstream from its maw.

"Cused XYZ Scum! I'll use my set card-"

But it was not meant to be.

As the summoning of the monster, the change to its chaos form, along with the roar of its effects, further stressed the already beaten highway.

And before the cards could even be activated, before the attack could even find its mark, the road right below them cracked and started to crumble away.

"Wha-!? Damn it-!" Seeing this, Tetsu attempted to stop his duel runner-

Only for it to essentially explode on his face, having pushed the machine and its systems to its furthest and beyond, the machine had overheated and stopped right in its tracks.

"The hell-!?"

The same happened to Shark's own duel runner, the stress from the previous stunt that he had done making the singular large wheel that the duel runner had stop in place. Not allowing him to move away from the crumbling road.

"GYAAAAA!"

"GUAAAH!"

And both fell onto the desolate city of Heartland below, the duel never to resolve. A bright blinding light briefly shone from both of their duel runners and engulfed the two riders.

All that was left of the once desolate highway was a pile of concrete rubble, two scraps of metal that had once been duel runners, along with the scattered deck of cards.

And two additional cards that fluttered down to the ruined city below. Depicting both duelists whose faces were frozen in shock and horror.

"This was an ending that was not foreseen."

"Indeed. It would seem that this dimension is still not yet prepared to fully use duel runners and technologies similar to it. Take note of all the data, and send them to me as soon as possible."

"Understood, Professor."
