Some1call4MR-E: One of the later parts, definitely had recovery-girl finally put her foot down.
Her Quirk accelerates the healing process, but uses the targets' OWN stamina to do it.
If Izuku wants to heal, he must take the long way,
not the quick fix that he believes recovery-girl offers...
Also in the beginning, BakugouXOchaco anyone?
In all fairness, that pairing is surprisingly NICE, to me.
I mean it's way outside the box, for a pairing but,
Whenever the green-bean is paired with another,
this weird little coupling always pops up, and stirs some strange positive feeling from me, ya'know?
-BakugoXOchaco are a nice pairing, sure it will never be canon, but it has a lot of potential, that's why it's cute. Bakugo treats Uraraka like an equal and she isn't scared of him. She challenged him and fought on. These two would also make just awesome friends, but since it's my stories I will have my fav couple from MHA as couple :D
Chapter 17: Those Who Fight II
Even though Michi and the others were worried about Izuku's surgery, she and Tenya had to get ready.
Their fights were up next.
Tenya was first and his adversity was Ibara Shiozaki class 1B, the girl with the Vine Quirk who had beaten Denki.
Ibara starts the match by attacking from a distance with her vines.
Tenya immediately activates his Recipro Burst technique and runs behind Ibara in a flash.
He then grabs Ibara's shoulders and swiftly runs towards the edge, pushing her out of bounds, making him the winner of this match.
The next match was between Michi and Mina.
Knowing that her acid attacks would be ineffective against Ares Supersuit, Mina attempted to keep her distance.
However, similar to her previous match with Momo, Michi quickly closed the gap and delivered a sucker punch to Mina's stomach, knocking her out.
With this victory, Michi moved on to the Semi-Final round.
"She won in an instant, too? I couldn't even enjoy looking at Michi!". lamented Mineta.
For that Tsu hit him over the head with her frog-like tongue.
"Michi and Ares are amazing.", said Tsu, as they watched how stonefaced their friend left the arena.
Worried Ochaco looked at Michi.
How she fought may have been similar to Momo, but the brunette felt that her best friend was with her thoughts somewhere else.
"Are you worried about Midoriya?", asked Tsu her.
"Well yes, but I'm worried for Michi, look at her."
They did.
The girl with the red glasses seemed emotionless as she made her way back to the tribune of class 1A.
"She is surely with her thoughts by Deku.", explained Ochaco. "But she can't worry and be there for him, because she had to fight."
"So she closed off her feelings.", deduce Tsu.
Ochaco nodded.
Finally, Michi joined them and sat down beside Ochaco.
She didn't even say a word in greeting as she normally does.
"Michi-Chan.", began Ochaco softly taking her hand. "I know you are worried for Deku. We all are, but he is in good hands."
From Michi came just a huff.
Ares answered for her: "She wants to be on his side, she will never calm down if she doesn't see the boy being well with her own two eyes."
Understanding her feelings, Ochaco squeezed her hand and Tsu embranced her from behind and made sure Mineta didn't cup a feel.
Being surrounded by her dear friends, minus Mineta, helped Michi.
She let out a shuddering breath she was holding.
Izu-Chan, I hope you are okay, you have to!
The next battle is Bakugo against Kirishima.
During the battle, Bakugo and Kirishima trade blows using their Quirks.
Kirishima's hardened skin dampens Bakugo's explosions, and then Kirishima cuts Bakugo's cheek open with a punch.
Bakugo backs off, ponders over Kirishima's persistence, and wonders how long his opponent can maintain his hardened state.
Kirishima rushes Bakugo and tries to strike him with a flurry of punches.
This puts Bakugo on the defensive and forces him to constantly dodge while losing ground.
Bakugo fights back with his explosions until he finally manages to damage Kirishima.
He realizes that Kirishima has been pushing his Quirk beyond its limits by keeping his body rock-hard throughout the entire fight.
Anticipating that Kirishima's defence will give at any moment, Bakugo strikes with a large explosion.
Although Kirishima manages to block it, Bakugo unleashes a barrage of explosions that force Kirishima to overuse his Quirk.
Capitalizing on the opening, Bakugo then strikes Kirishima with one final explosion.
As a result, Kirishima is defeated, and Midnight declares Katsuki Bakugo the winner.
"With that vicious carpet-bombing, Bakugo advances to the third round! And that completes the final four!", announces Present Mic.
On the screen are seen in this order, Shoto, Tenya, Michi and Bakugo.
"Izu-Chan!", yells Michi happy as she sees him coming towards their seats. She jumps up and races over him. Unsure she hovers over him. "You are okay! Did it hurt a lot?"
"No, no Michi, I'm okay, Recovery Girl did a good job."
"You look like a mummy, I'm scared to even hug you!"
Izuku gives her a soft smile.
"I would hug you but I can't, you can hug me Michi-Kun."
Worried she looks into his eyes but he just nods.
So careful Michi hugs him and then kisses his not bandaged cheek.
"You will bring me to an early grave, I'm sure."
Tenderly Izuku rubs his cheek against her and gives her a cheek kiss back.
"I'm sorry, I make you worry always."
Both are again in lovey-dovey land when Denki shouts loudly what all think: "Oh my god, just kiss already!"
This turns them both into peperonies.
Ignoring the shout, Michi helps Izuku to their seats beside Ochaco.
"I'm happy you are okay.", tells Ochaco. "But shouldn't you rest?"
"I want to properly watch- the efforts of everyone who wants to become a hero.", explains Izuku.
Now the first battle of the Semi-Final, Tenya VS Shoto begins!
Shoto begins the match by launching a freezing attack, which compels Tenya to evade and sprint to Shoto's right using his Engine legs.
Shoto then freezes the ground with his right arm, trapping Tenya between two waves of ice.
Shoto tries to freeze Tenya, but Tenya dodges by doing a standing long jump.
While in the air, Tenya uses his Recipro Burst technique.
Shoto avoids Tenya's first kick but gets hit by the second one, slamming him into the ground.
Shoto tries to freeze the ground, but Tenya leaps over him, grabs his shirt, and sprints towards the edge of the arena.
With only eight seconds left before his engines stall, Tenya believes he can run Shoto out of bounds.
However, he suddenly stops short.
Tenya then realizes that his mufflers have been frozen shut.
Shocked, he questions when Shoto blocks them.
Shoto explains that he blocked them with ice when Tenya kicked him.
He states that he has only been using ranged attacks during the festival and surmises that Tenya forgot he could use precision attacks.
Shoto freezes the ground and grabs Tenya's arm as he encases most of Tenya's body in ice.
He gets up and admits that he tried to dodge Tenya's kick, but it was too fast.
With Tenya immobilized, Midnight declares Shoto the winner.
Long his friends can't be sad for him, since now it's Michi's turn.
"Time to kick Bakugo's ass!", proclaims Michi standing up.
Her friends wish her good luck only Izuku says: "Please don't break his femur!"
"I promise nothing!"
With this Michi as also Bakugo make their way to the arena, while they walk closer to each other you formally see lighting between them.
"Now the last battle of the Semi-Finals. From what we read about them, they have been rivals since Middle School! Michi Massaro with Ares VS. Katsuki Bakugo!", shouts Prensent Mic.
The crowds celebrate them hard.
Both get into their preferred fighting stance.
Then Midnight tells them to begin!
It's chaos from the first second on!
Bakugo shoots explosion after explosion after Michi, while she dodges them and runs closer towards him.
"This time not Massaro!", yells Bakugo. "You will not use your usual trick to get me!"
He sends a large explosion in her direction.
Shocked gasps can be heard all around.
Did he get her?!
"There! She is there!", shouts Izuku.
Michi jumped high in the air over the explosion.
"Incredible what a reaction time!"
The crowd and mostly Izuku and Michi's friends celebrated hard.
"Don't worry Bakugo!", calls Michi calmy. "I have a special surprise for you!"
Still in the air, she calls for her Thread Storm.
An ocean of threads flies down to Bakugo.
"Shit!", he curses.
He knows he can't destroy the threads.
But he can at least blow them away!
He directed a large explosion to the threads, which made them blow away really.
Bakugo grins, that's when he feels Killer Intent.
He only sees a pair of red eyes glaring at him as he gets sucker punched in the stomach!
Something makes disturbing cracks.
Did Massaro break bones?
Yes, she did!
Bakugo feels his ribs are broken.
He lands on the ground writhing in pain.
Calmy Michi walks over to him and puts her heel on his throat.
"Yield."
"Fuck you, Massaro!"
She presses a bit down on his throat.
Of course, she doesn't want to destroy his throat, just make him quiver a bit.
"You have broken ribs. If you use your explosions you could puncture your lungs.", explains Michi calmly. "So yield."
It's like an eternity passes, anyone was holding their breath before Bakugo growls out: "I yield."
"Bakugo gives up! Massaro wins!", proclaims Midnight whipping her whip.
Michi takes her foot away from Bakugo's throat and he gets carried out of the arena to Recovery Girl.
"With this, the final match will be between Todoroki and Massaro!"
With a deep breath, Michi makes her way to Player Room 2 to catch her breath before her battle with Todoroki.
Meanwhile, her friend celebrates her victory hard.
"It was not the femur but she broke his ribs, oh yeah!", shouted Ochaco.
"I didn't have any doubt that Michi-Kun would win, she always managed to come out on top.", states Izuku proudly.
"She played him.", agrees Tenya who comes to them. "Michi is a hard opponent."
That's when his phone rings and he excuses himself.
What he hears from his mother, will change anything!
Breathing deeply Michi managed to enter Player Room 2.
She falls on the floor and detransforms.
Ares is back as a ribbon on her head.
"You overdid it, whirlwind. You let me suck too much blood!"
"I can still go on!"
"Are you crazy you need a blood transfusion?!"
"Massaro?"
Surprised Michi and Ares see Shoto sitting at one of the tables.
"Oh, I should have checked if the room was vacant, sorry, Todoroki.", she mumbles.
"That's what you are worried about?!", shouts Ares.
Shoto kneels beside her and lays a cold hand on her forehead. Michi will forever deny that she moaned in relief.
"You are burning up? What's wrong?"
"She overdid herself.", begins Ares. "I need to suck her blood to give her strength but we are not in harmony, because she can't accept how her suit looks like."
"Because you are a perv.", she rebucks and holds Shoto's cold hand down on her forehead.
The boy blushes a bit.
"Massaro, you can't fight like this. You should yield already."
"NO!", shouts Michi so loud that Ares and Shoto jump. "If I can't even...if I can't even master my own Quirk if I can't fight you...how can I become a hero?"
Michi refuses to cry, yet a single tear falls down her cheek.
Shoto looks at her, he understands her wish to be a hero, could he really demand that she yield if she wants to fight?
"Ares.", he turns to the ribbon. "What does Massaro need?"
"A blood transfusion."
"Alright."
Suddenly Shoto picks her up bridal style which makes Michi blush really weak since she hasn't much blood anymore in her body.
"Todoroki what?"
"We will get you to Recovery Girl and then we will have our fight, alright."
Speechless Michi nods.
Shoto was her enemy, who wanted to help her to fight him!
What?
Maybe she really fainted and was hallucinating.
When they reached Recovery Girl's room, the old lady chested her for being so reckless and gave her a blood transfusion,
The boy stepped out to give her privacy, while Michi felt how she got stronger again.
"Thanks, ma'am."
"Don't mention it sweetie I'm here for that, but you let Ares suck too much blood all because you wanted to defeat Bakugo?"
Ares again explains: "If Michi accepted her suit has to leave the skin open or she could die and don't be ashamed of herself, we would be in perfect harmony and I didn't need to suck so much blood."
"Yeah, you say this every time, but you don't have to walk around in practically lingerie!"
The old lady nodded, she understood both sides and put a hand on Michi's hand.
"Sweetie, you will never master your Quirk if you can't stand it. It is sad but true. Blood Transfusion can only do as much."
Desperate Michi rubbed her eyes.
"But I don't want to walk like this around people, I know I'm pretty and they already have thoughts over me and don't want to give them more!"
"There is more isn't it?"
Sniffling Michi confessed to Recory Girl her feelings for Izuku.
"I don't want him to be ashamed of me because his girlfriend walks around half-naked and fights like this. It's so hooker-like. A good boy like Izuku would never date someone like me..."
"Oh dear do you hear yourself?", tutts Recovery Girl. "I saw something completely different as you visited him. I saw a boy who was completely and utterly in love."
Tears fall down Michi's eyes.
"Really?"
"Also Izuku is not the type of boy who would demand from his girlfriend to dress in a way, he respects woman and their choices over their own bodies.", reminds her Ares. "You know him, why are you so unsure?"
"Well after three years of nothing..."
"Now, now dear, good things take a while. Maybe you both aren't ready for each other, but you will someday soon, I'm sure.", told her Recovery Girl.
With a tiny smile, Michi wiped away her tears.
Maybe they were right.
Then she remembered her discussion with Takako the other day.
Maybe she was thinking too much overall and should just...feel.
Ares felt formally the change in Michi as she stood up and proclaimed: "Alright, from this day onward no shame anymore! We are a team and we don't care what others think!"
"Yes, that's what I want to hear, say the words Michi!"
