Arthur hesitated a little, but he put the saddle on the horse anyway. The horse didn't feel very comfortable with him and tried to throw Arthur to the ground several times.

" Woah, easy there, big fella. "

" Don't let that bastard think that he's better than you, Arthur. Hold on tight to the reins. "

Arthur tried to pet him, but suddenly the horse bit his hand and Arthur immediately pulled his hand away.

" Augh ! Shit ... "

" Easy boy ,easy ...he won't hurt you . "

" Ya have a nice fella, Hosea . "

" Oh, don't be so mean. He's a good horse. He just needs a little time to get used to ya . "

" Yeah yeah , good horse . "

" Ya know what? Why don't ya choose him? ya two are alike. Big, stubborn but loyal . "

" Very funny, Hosea . "

" No, seriously. Ya can have him. Just reckon him as a gift from me to ya . "

" Alright, thanks."

" Don't mention it. ARTHUR, WATCH OUT !!! "

It didn't take long before Arthur fell to the ground before he know what was happening, he felt dizzy as he ran his hand over his nose he noticed the blood, he looked around with fear and confusion, Hosea was kneeling next to him.

" Are ya okay? "

" What happened? "

" Albus kicked ya. But I think ya're okay, right? "

Arthur tried to get up from the ground with a growl.

" That damn horse... "

He was still feeling dizzy, although Hosea was next to him and helped him to stand on his feet. It was at this moment that the voice of Sadie's laugh brought Arthur to himself, still in a confused state, he glared at her.

" What are ya laughin' at?! "

" Your damn face ! "

" What?! "

Arthur growled again and turned away from her, but Mrs. Adler wasn't the only one laughing at him. Hosea smiled at Arthur's face too.

" I guess he just blacked out your eye. "

" What the !? My eye?? "

Arthur gently touched his own eye, apparently just noticing the pain and blackness in his eye, and stared at the horse with a frown.

" I'll kill him. "

" Don't worry, it ain't that bad. Is it ? "

" It's not that bad?! Ya kidding me?! He was killing me. !! "

" Maybe. But look at Mrs. Adler, ya made her laugh after weeks, so I think it was worth it. "

" Yeah. A horse beatin' me up is really funny. "

Arthur glared at Sadie and Hosea again. He then headed for his new, unruly horse to mount him.

" Okay, where's this damn bear? "

" Follow me. First, we're going to Valentine to get some equipment to hunt that monster. "

" Great ! "

" C'mon, hurry up ! "

" Whatever you say, boss. "

Although Arthur had finally managed to get on the horse, Albus was still restless and had even come close to throwing him to the ground a few times on the way of camp to Valentine. Albus was a stubborn and unruly Shire, but Hosea still hoped that Arthur would be able to cope with this new situation and forget about Boadicea and his relationship with Sadie Adler. Now that he had committed himself, his duties to the group and the widow's protection had become even more difficult. But it was still not easy to cope with losing Boadicea and replacing her with a wild and unruly stallion. He had stolen her from a trip near the Blackwater when he was only fourteen years old. she was only a foal at the time, and it didn't take long for Arthur to form a bond with her.

He and Boadicea were inseparable. He loved nothing more than her, even though he had intended to sell that horse he had stolen from the Adler's stable to earn money to buy a horse like her, but he didn't have enough money and in the other hand, he didn't want to refuse Hosea's request. He loved Dutch, Hosea more, he knew Hosea only meant to help him, although giving him a raven black Shire horse didn't seem like such a good idea. Shortly after they left Valentine, went to the Grizzlies to camp for the night so they could go after the big bear the next morning. Soon after that, they were walking along O'creagb's Run's lake, trying to find any trace of that monster.

" Hey, look, that's a paw print. "

" It's big. C'mon, Arthur. "

" I can track it. "

" Good. Let's go find it. "

A few moments later...

" Dammit! We've lost track of it. "

" Maybe we should split up or use bait. What do ya think, Arthur? "

" We'll split up. "

" Alright, ya go right. I'll go left. "

" Okay, then."

They both went in opposite directions, guns in hand, although Arthur did not want to go with Hosea, he thought to himself that it was a new experience and that he could forget for a while the thoughts that had invaded his mind for the past few weeks .

" ARTHUR!! HELP!! "

Lost in his thoughts, he immediately ran towards Hosea to shoot the giant bear that was chasing him. The monster chased Hosea for a short distance but was finally pushed back with a few shots and ran away. His heart was beating faster than ever, holding his breath in his chest, he went to Hosea who was hiding behind a tree

" Ya okay, old man? "

" Of course I'm fine. Goddamn it ! What a monster it was. "

" Ya know, I think that's enough huntin' for today . "

" I agree. I wanna go back to camp, will you come with me? "

" No. You go. I'll stay there. "

" Okay. Good luck killing that savage Beast! "

Hosea saddled Silver Dollar and soon disappeared from sight.

His hands were covered in blood, his face was covered in bear claw marks, he had returned to camp with Albus, panting, he had made a good money by selling bear's skin and now everyone in the camp was scared to see his scary face .

" I thought I was the butcher, Jesus, you're covered in blood. "

As usual, he ignored Pearson's sarcasm and went to his tent to change his clothes. Hosea was the first one to go to him.

" Damn, what's happened, Arthur? "

"Just, met a bear, I guess. Here. $50. I could sell the skin for $100. "

" Wow, I never thought it would be worth that much. "

" Anyway, ya better have your share. Ya know, ya led me to that Beast. "

" Well, thank you Arthur. "

" My pleasure. "

" Oh, one more thing, Uncle said he wanted to talk to ya. Apparently he wants ya to take the girls with ya to the Valentine . "

" The girls? "

" Ya know, Mary Beth, Tilly, and Karen. "

" Okay, thanks. "

It wasn't long before Arthur, Uncle, and the girls set off in a small wagon toward Valentine . They were all excited to see the new place and were singing with such joy that even the birds joined in.

" I got a girl in Barryville

Can't be screwed 'cause she's too damn ill

So I don't go down there no more

There's a blue horse lays outside her door. "

" I got a girl in Valentine

Likes to drink that fancy wine

Plumes in her hat was two feet tall

The crack in her pants paid for it all "

" I got a girl in Barryville

Can't get in her 'cause she won't stay still

She kicks and squeals and farts and hollers

Won't take less than seven dollars "

" I got a girl in Berryla-, I messed it up!

I got a girl across the lane

Hair down there likе a horse's mane

I got a girl, and she's got a thing

Fits my pеter like a diamond ring "

" I got a girl in Valentine

Likes to drink that fancy wine

Plumes in her hat was two feet tall

The crack in her pants paid for it all "

The wagon arrived in the town and the girls scattered to their own corners while Arthur and Uncle went to a general store to get groceries.

" So, How's my favorite parasite? "

" Oh, don't start again, Arthur. "

" Damn right. Oh, no, ya're not my favorite parasite. First the ringworms, then you. "

" Very funny, Arthur. "

" Oh, no, first the ringworms, then rats with plague, then you. "

" Shut up. "

" C'mon, ya know, ya love me. "

Uncle rolled his eyes and took a deep breath.

" Ya're a sad man, Arthur Morgan. "

On the way back, as they were all passing by the bridge, the girls suddenly screamed. Arthur immediately stopped the wagon and they all noticed the girls terrible screams. There were pieces of someone's body scattered all over the bridge. Poor fella was hanging from the bridge with a rope, blood was still dripping from the victim's body and the vultures were feeding on him. They all got out of the wagon for a few moments to look at the body. Flies were flying around the body and even the horses were afraid of the stench of the body. Look at my work Written in blood on a stone next to the body as Arthur took a bloody piece of paper out of the victim's mouth and looked at it. Apparently, he was dealing with a serial killer. He looked at the Uncle and the girls with a serious look and said to them

" Hurry up, let's go back to camp, it's not safe there. "

The sun was setting as the wagon headed back to camp. Arthur stared at the body once more, and then they all returned to camp.

Before I write the next chapter, I would like to say a few words to you :

* The reason I chose the raven black Shire for Arthur was because I had a lot of horses during the game, but I think the white Arabian, the Buell and the raven black Shire were the only suitable horses for Arthur. On the other hand, since all the horses in the camp are based on the characters' personalities, I think, as Hosea said, the raven black Shire was the best for Arthur.

* One more thing, there are some characters here who were not completely members of the camp, but I think it would be interesting to consider their human spirit as well.

Mary Linton as a white Arabian.

Jamie Gillis as a tennessee walking.

Albert Mason as a Zebra.

Charlotte balfour as a Deer.

Agent Milton as a black labrador.

Edgar Ross as a Pit bull.

Hamish Sinclair as a Lion.

Colm O'Driscoll as an Alligator.

Leviticus Cornwall as a Bulldog.

Cleet and Joe as Hyenas.

Jake Adler as a German Shepherd.

Rains Fall as an Eagle.

Eagle Flies as a Hawk.

Captain Monroe as a Kentucky Saddler.

Mother Superior Calderón as a Sheep.

Brother Dorkins as a Goat.

Hercule Fontaine as a Chimpanzee

Angelo Bronte as a Chameleon.
