Chapter 7: Unleash the Kraken part 2
At the Kraken Kingdom, Sonic has finished explaining himself and how he ended up here, with Grandmamah being intrigued.
"I see, so this mysterious light that brought you here, came from our world to begin with?" She asked as Sonic nodded.
"Yup." He replied.
"So is there any kind of mystic artifact that you may know what caused it? Ruby asked.
"Hmm, I've encountered with alot of powerful relics my entire life, but never one that can transport one being from one place to another, especially one from another universe." Her highness replied.
"From what I learned from a friend of mine is that not everything can be a coincidence, there's no way that light just randomly popped out of water on my world without something that attracted it there... Or maybe-" Sonic then pulled a Chaos Emerald.
"The Chaos Emeralds might have something to do with this." He said.
"What are these Chaos Emeralds?" Her Majesty asked.
"They are these gemstones that are really powerful, this is only one of 7." He explained as he revealed one to the Queen.
"Unimaginable power in just a small gemstone, truly fascinating." She said
"You can say that again, even my friends and I don't know how powerful they are, but all I know is that they might've helped bring me here with that light, and all I have to do is find the rest of them and then I'll be outta here."
"How many left then?"
"Only 6, so all I gotta do is roam around for more and that's it, but I've only checked on land for them, yet none."
"You know, I found that one in water." Brill said coming outta nowhere, with Sonic jumping a bit.
"So that means most of them might be in the ocean." Ruby stated as Sonic started to sweat drop, the last thing he ever wants to do is roam in more water, even if he can now be a Kraken, he's still having a hard time adaptating to this new adventure.
"Just a heads up that this has to be kept on a low profile, there could be trouble if another being finds another or more emeralds." He said.
"Wise choice, if one creature knows about this, then the rest of the ocean won't be far behind." Grandmamah agreed.
"I'll have my scouts searching for others." she added.
"While we're gonna go do some searching ourselves." Sonic added with a thumbs up as Ruby nodded.
"Good luck and be safe."
"We will, thank you Grandmamah." Ruby said as she and Sonic left to the exit.
"So... Have you ever had a Crumb wrapped in seaweed?" Brill asked his mother who raised her eyebrow.
And so, Sonic and Ruby exited out of the kingdom up towards the surface, but little did they know that certain people they know were about to be in trouble.
Back up at land, to recap, Tails has just arrived from outta a pond and met the triplets, and now a huge green creature.
Now, we cut back to Tails and the Triplets being encountered by the massive green creature, which let out a massive roar.
"What Is That Thing?! And Who Are You?! Or What Are You?!" Sam asked.
"I could be asking you 3 the same thing!" Tails replied, he then looked at the Creature, which was having eyes only for the Blue Emerald and about to take it.
"It's going after the Emerald!" Tails said as the creature was soon about to grab it, just then a long blue hand, immediately swiped it before the thing could grab it, it looked over to see it was Zac.
"Oops, were you looking for this?" He teased as the creature started to glare, it dashed towards him, but Zac on the other hand, tossed the emerald to Max, making the creature even more furious as it tried to get Max, who then tossed the emerald to Sam, really it was a game of keep away, Tails was so surprised by this.
"Huh, for a bunch of weird kids, they aren't so scared." The Creature then became so irritated, it then started to glow rapidly.
"Uh oh." Sam said getting a bad sign, soon the creature then started to increase it size being as big as a tree, and was about to slam onto the ground, attempting to hit the Triplets.
"Look out!" An unknown figure said, as the Trips were soon swiped, as the creature missed, but something else, it was Tails carrying them in the air.
"Woah! Tails that can be a helicopter, now that's cool!" Max said.
"Thanks." He greeted, the creature then growled, as the 4 then became more worry some.
"Can we get outta here now?" Zac asked as the all nodded, and so Tails started flying and the Trips road on their skateboard, then the creature started to chase after them.
On the other side of the forest, Ruby's crew "Squad solidarity" were chilling an area at the park, which was their usual hangout spot, with them suddenly just bored.
"You guys ever get the feeling that were being left out of alot of things?" Trevin was the first to speak, as the others then started to agree.
"Hmm, not that you mention it, there has been alot of times when Ruby would stay around for a little bit and run off to take care of, Quote Unquote, Kraken Duties, sure she's been telling us about it, but never really lived it though." Said Margot.
"This has been happening Real frequently since Prom almost a month ago." Connor Added.
"Perhaps she's forgetting about us and preparing for a great disaster that could destroy the world." Bliss catastrophized appearing outta know where making the rest of the crew to jump.
"For crying out loud, Bliss, giving out heart attacks like that!!" Margot said sighing with relief.
"Apologies, natural habits." Bliss bowed her head.
"Gasp! But what if you're right, could Ruby be forgetting us?" Margot then panicked again.
"Ok, let's not get far ahead, just because Ruby has to deal with family business once in a while, doesn't mean she's forgetting us, I mean sure, being from royalty, it's her responsibility, but eventually things will work out with us ok, I trust her, and as her friends, you should too." Connor said as they all had agreeing faces.
"Well well, look at you mr. skater boy, being all so wise boyfriend she needs." Margot teased as he eye rolled with a blush, soon after, they all felt a loud sound, quacking the ground, and birds flying.
"What was that?" Trevin asked as they looked around to see what it was, soon some dust was floating around, then formed into a bunch of green glowing creatures.
"Hide!" Margot said as the all hid beind a boulder, then took a peek from behind to see the fully formed freaks.
"Yo... What are those things?" Connor whispered.
"The end of the world...!" Bliss answered whisperingly as they all looked at her with eyebrows.
"Like I said, natural habits." Soon after the ground started to quake again, the group saw coming from the side, it was the Gillman triplets riding on their skateboard and holding a blue gemstone passing the green creatures.
"Hey, those were Ruby's Brothers, right?" Connor asked, then they looked a bit upwards noticing a yellow fox flying by after them.
"Was that a... flying fox?" Trevin said as then the ground quake more and then emerged from the trees was the massive green creature going after the fox and the trips, the Smaller creatures started to follow it's superior after them was well.
"What just happened?" Connor asked.
"Recaption: Small Green creatures appear, then Ruby's brothers blew past along with a flying fox and a massive creature chases them, am I missing something?" Margot stated.
"Nothing right now, sounds like a perfect conflict for this part of the chapter." Bliss said being "well aware."
"Wait, what was that about a chapter?" Trevin asked.
"Nevermind that, we must warn Ruby!" Margot said pulling out her phone to contact her Giant Squid friend.
Speaking of, She and Sonic hopped out of water onto land, shrinking turning back to normal, with Sonic shaking like a dog to dry faster, with Ruby raising her eyebrow at him.
"What? Ever seen Hedgehog use average ways to dry off?" He said smacking his head to get water out of his ear.
"I guess, anyway, since there's a chance that some emeralds are around here, the we best get looking." She said as he Nodded, just then they heard a loud roar and felt the ground quaking then stopped.
"What was that?" Sonic asked as Ruby then felt her phone ringing and saw her friend face calling and she answered.
"R: Margot?"
"M: Ruby! Thank goodness, we have a problem! Your Brothers are in trouble!" She said as those words shocked Ruby.
"R: What?!"
"M: We just saw them being Chased by a Giant Glowing green creature and a bunch of smaller ones." She described as Ruby and Sonic looked at each other as they knew exactly what she's was talking about.
"R: Where were they going?!"
"M: I geuss... In the direction of the Oceanside Ruins!"
"R: I know where that is, anything else?"
"M: Yeah, now that you mentioned it, they weren't alone, following them looked like a weird looking Fox that can somehow fly."
She said as Sonic ear's twitch and eyes widened and revealed himself in the camera.
"Did you say a Flying Fox?!" He asked.
"M: Yeah, Wait! Who's this?"
"S: Was it Orange-ish Yellow with two Tails rotating like a Helicopter?!"
"M: Uhh... Yeah, and maybe?" She said as he then looked at Ruby.
"Rubes, where is this place their heading?!"
"Just that way." She pointed over the horizon.
"We Gotta Move!" He said going in a running position and Blasted off.
"M: Seriously, who was that?!"
"R: I'll tell you later, Just follow them and make sure they're safe."
"M: You can count on us."
"R: Okay, See ya there." She said as she hung up, jumped and dived back in the water, Turning Giant and swam off, back with her friends.
"Alright squad, this is a code 95270, commence Operation: Slip n' Slide!" Margot addressed.
"But we never rehearsed that one yet." Said Bliss
"Any better options?" She asked.
"No."
"Then that's the best one, our friend needs us, and this just the excitement we've been looking for anyways, onwards!" Margot started running.
"How long have she prepared for stuff like this?" Connor asked.
"You don't wanna know." Bliss said before going after her along with Connor on his skateboard and Bliss then went after them, while Trevin just walked still playing his games.
With Sonic, he speeded through forest and forest to the destination, along the way was the green creatures, and so he blasted through them, doing spin attacks, and you know the rest.
With Ruby, she has been dealing with the same thing on her own, and so she used all she knows of her abilities to fight them off herself from wacking them, to body armor, to laser eyes.
Sonic was soon near the place but soon got stopped by much bigger creatures, he tried to face them off but they had a bigger advantage, soon Sonic had to think of a new strategy, he looked around and saw a body of ocean water
"Time to do this the Kraken way." He smirked as he rushed over and jumped in, the creatures went over to get him, but soon stop as something massive was coming out of it, it was Sonic slowly getting bigger and bigger, until he was full Kraken mode, one creature tried to jump but Sonic blocked it with his arm, which was with body armor.
"Sweet!"
He went full body armor and did a massive homing attack and slam onto the creatures which vanished, more kept appearing along the way to the Oceanside ruins, Sonic then wiped his nose and he went into a spin dash and charged, blasting into them all, vanishing each one, making his way to ruins.
Somewhere else on Oceanside, on Captain lighthouse's tour bus, Mermaid Queen, Nerissa was trimming her nails, looking exhausted after the last tour, she then soon heard loud eruptions, she looked over the horizon to see a the Giant Hedgehog on the move once again, she then started to smirk as she had an idea, but that's for another time.
With Tails and the trips, they were still being chased by the green creatures up towards the Oceanside ruins, as they were almost at the place, more green creatures blocked them off, and they immediately stopped.
More creatures popped up circling around them, and eventually the giant creature showed up, and they were completely surrounded.
"Uh oh!" Tails said as he was about to cower, but then had a confident look
"No! Sonic needs needs me, I can do this." He said as the Triplets were surprised when they heard that name.
"Hey, he knows Sonic?" Max asked his brothers, but before they said another thing, Tails then brought out his shot cannon, surprising the triplets even more.
"Stand back." He told them, and with a few adjustments and aiming, Tails fired some shots and multiple of those creatures vanished.
"Whoa!!" The Triplets said with stars in their eyes.
"That was cool!" Sam said
"Your welcome, and hopefully that was it." Talis said as then more and more popping out, with him sweating a bit.
"I spoke too soon." A couple of the creatures then charged at them but then got blinded by a smokebomb of exploding confetti, with something spilling and they slipped over.
Tails was confused untill he was grabbed by something else and the same happened with the triplets, as the smoke cleared, the creatures were having a hard time getting up, expected for the big one, who saw that they vanished, it then tried to sense their presence, and then it evilly grinned as it did, not by them but something else.
Tails and the triplets were carried to the ruins, and when they did, they saw they were rescued by a group of teens, the Triplets happened to be familiar with as they were Ruby's crew.
"You ok?" Connor asked.
"What are you guys doing here?" Sam asked
"We saw you passing by running from those green things and we had to help you." Margot stated.
"Ruby's request?" Max guessed.
"Ruby's request." Margot replied.
"Operation: Slip N' Slide is a success." She added as Zac looked like he was about to ask that.
"Don't ask... Just, don't." Said Bliss to him.
"So... who's the Fox guy?" Trevin said as they all realized that and turned to Tails.
"I dunno we just met him, who are you?" Sam asked.
"Me? I'm- Get Down!!" Tails shouted as he was about to introduce himself, the others looked behind to see the creatures charging and ducked, Tails pulled out his arm cannon and shot them down who vanished.
"Gasp... where you get that?" Margot asked.
"I Invented it." Tails described.
"Whatever it is or whoever you are, thanks for the save." Connor being impressed.
"We're not outta the woods yet, I pretty sure more of them aren't so far behind, and could pop out at any moment." Tails said as the place soon started quacking, and soon they all look up to see the ceiling was braking apart, and it was the Giant creature lifting it, finding them.
"Like that?" Trevin asked.
"Yup." Tails answered, The creature roared, and Tails then shot it, but it didn't do anything, shocking the Fox.
"Strange, it has no effect on the bigger creatures."
"Can we panic now?" Max asked.
"Affirmative." Tails said as most of the group panicked, as the creature was about to make another strike, he felt rumbling, and looked to the side to see a giant Dark blue ball charging fast towards it attacked, sending the creature flying to a hill top, the ball then uncurled to be revealed as Kraken Sonic.
"Pick on someone your own size!" He said charging at it again, before that, Tails was able get a glimpse of Sonic, glad he found him, or vice versa, only he noticed him now as a Giant, with more legs, He knows this isn't the first time Sonic had crazy powers, but this time he wasn't expecting that, and then he noticed that he was being picked up by a purple hand, along the teens and triplets, to a safe distance, thanks to another giant.
"Ruby!" Zac said, happy to see his Titan sister.
"You guys ok?" She asked.
"All good, Ruby-Doo." Margot asked.
"So who's the Blue guy?" She asked referring to the Blue Spiked Giant that just tackled down the Green Creature.
"It's ok, he's on our side." Ruby said, As she then noticed Tails.
"And... you must be a friend of him?" She asked him.
"You bet, how'd you even know." Tails said as Ruby thought back to when Margot said a fox with 2 Tails and Sonic looked like he knew him.
"Call it a hunch."
"Anyway, I've been looking for him since I got here, and hope he still had 7 gemstones with him."
"You mean The Chaos Emeralds?" She asked.
"Oh, you already know about them. Hey That Reminds Me!" Tails then remembered something and turned to the triplets.
"You 3 still have it?" He asked surprising Ruby.
"Wait! You found one?" She asked as one of her brothers pulled something out.
"Does this answer your question?" Sam asked with confidence, but everyone around them were confused.
"Are these "Emeralds" supposed to be invisible?" Bliss asked as Sam then grabbed nothing, and saw his hand was empty, he checked around him to see where it was.
"Uhh, do you guys have it?" He asked Max and Zac who did the same as Sam, and checked themselves to see nothing.
"No, I thought you had it!" Zac said.
"I thought you did!" Max replied.
"It's Gone! Where it could it be?!" Tails asked as then they heard a roar from the creature, who was getting up into a fighting stance as Sonic was stretching for this fight.
"Ok pal, this can go two ways, the easy way, where I let you leave with your teeth inside your mouth, or the hard way where I let you leave with your teeth outside your mouth, your call." He said while stretching, The creature then roared at the Krakenhog.
"The hard way it is." He said as the Creature charged, with Sonic dodging, and he spin attacked from behind, hitting the creature from behind, who collapsed again, then go up to charge.
"Back for more?" The Cocky Krakenhog teased as he was about to be hit by it, but he dodged stretched around the creature and sped around him fast, and slammed it on the ground and Spin attacked, then back flipped
"Oh hooo, is that the best you got?" He teased more, the creature started to grin more as it got up to show one trick up it's sleeve, literally, it then revealed the Blue Chaos Emerald, shocking Sonic and the others.
"The Emerald! But how?!" Ruby worried.
"I bet those other creatures stole it when they nearly jumped us!" Tails theorized, the creature then curled up it's fist with the emerald inside, and it shined from within, the creature was now twice as strong and more detailing of it's body.
"Ok, I guess I shouldn't have teased you, huh?" Sonic sweat dropped, the creature then tried to land a punch, but Sonic dodged, and countered, spin kicking it, and it may look like he did it, but it barely did anything.
The creature then landed another attack, and Sonic dodged and countered again, but missed, giving the creature the advantage and attacked Sonic, and it was a successfully hit.
As Sonic tumbled across water onto hill tops, the Cyan emerald slipped outta him, into the air, getting the creature's attention and went after it.
"Oh no you don't!" Ruby said going after it was well, the creature held it's hand out as the emerald was falling to what looked like to the creature, until ut was swiped by a stretchy purple tentacle, going back to Ruby.
"Got it!" She said as the creature glared at her and charged.
"Bad Idea!" Ruby panicked a bit, knowing this thing is stronger than it was before, until the emerald in her hand started to glow, Ruby looked at her tentacles and they glowed reacting to the emerald, and so the emerald shined so bright, resulting to her body glowing more that it usually does and a spiral of energy surrounding her.
"Huh? what's going on?" She asked, but the remembered the creature about to land a hit, but she dodged and countered, with the creature flying more than how it did it with Sonic, and crashed into water, with the blue emerald it had flying, this time towards Tails and the others, The triplets hopped on each other stretching up, and Zac was able to catch it.
"Booyah!" He said, the creature then started to get weaker, giving Ruby the advantage to charge up with the cyan emerald, and charged Laser eyes were shot, towards the creature and eventually, it exploded, vanishing into dust.
Tails and the others cheered for their victory, and Ruby started to power down, she then went over to Sonic to help him up.
"You alright?" She asked with her hand out.
"Yeah, that Kraken wannabe got me real good, but I'm still kicking." Sonic said grabbing her hand and she pulled him up.
"Thanks for the save, anyway."
"Your welcome, so... what exactly just happened?"
"I believe, like that creature, you just experienced a power boost from the emerald."
"Woah!" She said looking at the emerald, soon the two then went towards the group, shrinking down to normal size, as Tails and the others walked up to them.
"Ruby!" The triplets hugged their big sister and she patted each of their heads.
"Sonic!" Tails hugged his big bro.
"Hey Tails, you all good?"
"I'm fine, Just happy to see you alive."
"Heh, don't worry, not even a water vortex can knock me down." He said patting him on the head.
"I'm glad your ok, are you hurt or anything?" Ruby said checking her little bros.
"No, were fine, In fact, that fox kid saved us when we met." Sam said as Ruby looked at Tails.
"Us too." Margot added.
"Really?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah, my best friend can handle anything." Sonic said as Tails blushed.
"Heh, no biggie, I'm Tails by the way." Tails said rubbing his head.
"I'm Ruby, these are my brothers, Sam, Max, and Zac."
"Hello." They replied.
"And my friends, Margot, Bliss, Trevin, and my boyfriend, Connor." She blushed a bit after that last part.
"M: Salutations."
"B: Greetings."
"T: Yo."
"C: What's up."
"The names Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog." Sonic said with a thumbs up.
"That sounds like a video game character." Trevin whispered that part to Bliss who nodded.
"Tho I must say, meeting beings from another world is really weird." Margot thought.
"Weirder than knowning that your friends with a Kraken with Laser eyes?" Sonic with the comeback and a smirk.
"Touché." Margot nodded.
"About that Sonic, that was huge, how did you-?" Tails Asked
"Like I said before, never a dull moment." Sonic said shrugged his shoulders.
"So how did you find me? Better yet, how did you even get here?"
"I was able to get a vile of that light from before and used it's energy, along with the master emerald sensing the chaos emeralds, and traced it's source here and found you."
"Nice work, buddy."
"Now, something tells me we won't be leaving for home anytime soon, right?"
"Yeah, there's still some business here that needs taken care of."
"Does it involve your new powers, the emeralds scattering, again, and these new creatures popping outta nowhere?"
"Correct, speaking of, by the looks of it, there only 5 Emeralds left." He said looking at the two emeralds they have now.
"So... Just what exactly are these Emeralds all about anyway?" Connor asked.
"Tell ya later." Ruby answered.
"We should alert the others about everything happening, and to let them know were safe." Tails suggested.
"Good thinking, just in case we might need backup."
"After all, nothing we can't handle, right?"
"You got it, bud." Sonic nodded.
"Wow, you guys sound like you've done this before." Sam being surprised.
"Heh, you kids don't even know the whole story." Sonic said with a smirk.
"Now with that aside... food anyone?" Sonic asked as everyone just sweat dropped to his question.
"What? A hedgehog's gotta eat, right?" And then they eventually had mixed reactions about it.
