Wake Up, Go To School, Save The World

Summary - No one ever thought it would come to this. Regular teenagers brought into a war, where they knew that even if they could have warned people in the beginning, no one would have believed their story. A story about the impossible, amazing powers they gained to take down an intergalactic witch out for revenge. So, for all this time, the Power Rangers had secretly fought a desperate battle. Secretly saved the world every day while also being regular teenagers. But those days are over. It's war and no one knows who will win, lose, or live...

Prologue

We were so close. We were right there, right at the finish line.

Right at the end!

I'd already survived so many times when I shouldn't have. When none of us should have. I've watched my friends and they watched me as we were trapped, kidnapped, captured, tortured, and should have lost everything. We bounced back then. I wasn't going to bounce back this time. I knew it was coming. I agreed to it.

But, in a way, it still seemed unfair.

To come this far, get this close...

Jason gave me the job because he knew I was the only one who could do it. Would do it. The others would've balked. Would've talked it over. Talked until it was too late to even come up with a plan. I'm the one you send when you need someone to be crazy, to do the hard thing. I don't think I'm proud of it. But I don't tihnk I'm not proud of it, either. I was Jason's insurance policy. I was the fail-safe. He thought maybe he wouldn't have to use me.

He hoped, anyway.

But down deep he knew, and I knew, and we both hid the truth from the others because they wouldn't let Jason make that decision, couldn't let him do it and that would have made things too hard. Made things impossible, actually.

It was war, after all.

A war we had to win.

A/N: If you've read the Animorphs book series, you probably already have an idea of who's POV this is. And how it ends for them. But if you haven't I hope you enjoy reading the story as it gets to this point. Basically, I thought of what it would be like if MMPR was written a little more grounded in reality and we saw the consequences of the rangers fighting that intergalactic war against Rita and Zedd.

I hope you enjoy, I also plan on having everything updated soon as I've gotten a new job with more consistent hours and more time to actually write so I'm writing, lol
