Chapter 4:Atlas
In another part of the world right was Atlas the mighty floating city high above the clouds of any other kingdom. Thought right now in an apartment complex that seemed to be a multiple purpose apartment was a specific someone. Because it was a bright new morning with no sun as it was blocked by the clouds above which made it very confusing for some but not those accustomed to the weather of atlas.
Because in an apartment that seemed to house at least four people as each room had a single bed with a dresser, desk for work along a footlocker at the end of their beds. But in one room right now was harriet bree who was never a morning person. She did have a morning routine as her clock was set to wake her up at nine o'lock to start her day.
But today had other ideas as harriet was fast asleep until someone started to shake her awake to her annoyance. She tried to go back to sleep turning to the other side.
"Five more minutes"hariet groaned
"Come on bunny we got a busy day ahead of us"a female voice said as they turned her over to reveal the culprit.
That being a women with tan skin with short brown hair with light blue eyes. She was wearing some causal attire consisting of some blue jeans with a white crop top underneath a brown zip up hoodie unzipped showing her modest bust. She seemed to be in her mid thirties.
While atop her ears was a set of monkey ears and a prehensile monkey tail poking of her jeans.
Hariet smacked her face groaning"bonnet seriously? This better not be one of your stupid jokes or pranks"she asked keeping an annoyed glare
"What me? Pulling a prank for shame bunny not my fault i love being a trickster"the monkey faunus known as bonnet teased making her blush slightly.
"Alright give me a few minutes to get changes, is elm already up?"hariet aksed as she nodded leaving her to get change.
Hariet got herself out of bed and changed into some causal attire which consisted of a dark gold short sleeved top with blue jeans with a black belt wrapped around the wiast along with some boots. She also grabbed a black jean jakcet and placed it on her bed for a moment as she grabbed her scroll to give someone a call placing it on speaker.
"Hello this is marrow"marrow voice answered
"Hey wags you planning on getting some breakfast with me and a few others at that diner like we planned?"hariet asked slipping her jacket on.
"Definitly vine and clove told me they'll be a little late. But…"he paused which she didn't like.
"Why are you pausing? Let me guess you invited someone else to join us"hairet asked with silence which she took as a yes
"Alright who did you invite?"she added curiously
Marrow sighed on the other end"i invited Cho….please don't get mad"he replied with worry but she didn't really mind.
"I don't mind the more the merrier. Heck maybe we could all grab drinks tonight with tort even"hariet suggested as she knew his tail might be wagging at that.
"Absolutly, though don't forget we gotta do a check up councilman wilkins and his guest later today"marrow reminded as she knew that.
"I know, see you then"harriet said hanging up on the wolf before exiting her room.
Once outside of her room she was met by a quite spacious apartment from the looks of it. Which seemed to consisted of a simple apartment with two levels to it connected by a set of glass stairs with dark brown wooden floors to match the interior. On that second level of the apartment was a small library which consisted of three shelves of books along with some chairs and a lamp for light reading for anyone who wants too.
On the very first level was the living room which had a large tv with a fireplace beneath it along with a white rug to match atlas environment since it snows so much. Along with two leather couches both maroon in color with a medium size coffe table in the center of the room.
Though their was also a decent size kitchen that had a stove and dishwasher along with a matching sink. With the necessary kitchen utensils for them to make a decent meal along with a coffepot to brew something for the morning. But as she emerged outside yawning a little someone called out to her.
"Morning their bunny thought you'd be missing our little meet up for our day off today"a female voice said as she glnaced toward elm.
Elm wasn't in her usually ace op attire mainly she was in a pair of blue jeans with a pair of brown knee high boots. While she wore a tan sweater to match presenting her bust slightly as she wore a wool hat atop her head with some gloves colored grey.
"Well i wanted to sleep in since the general gave us today off."harriet replied rubbing her neck.
Bonnet chuckled"finally seriously here i was enjoying myself having this place to myself most of the time.""She added
Elm rolled her eyes"You may pay for some of the rent here, but me and her pay for most of it'she jabbed
Bonnet rolled her eyes as her tail swayed around"okay you got me their but seriously i was getting annoyed how you guys kept getting sent on missions for an entire week"she replied. Hariet did recall that because everysince the kidnapping of two heirness in the kingdom of atlas it didn't really help with the media. Because despite closing their borders they allowed two heiress to get taken so easily despite all of their military being here.
With addition to those grimm knights the general put them on double time lately along with another division in the military. Those being atlas aparatans who are on par with Ace Ops but they usually get sent on missions with them for backup or when they need more bodies. Mainly the reason this monkey faunus is even here since she one of them.
The three knew each while they served in the military along with nezumi along with celeste actually. But they decided to room together to save money on expenses.
"Its understnadbale why the general has been paranoid lately. Remember that report we made?"hariet replied grabbing some gloves from a nearby closet.
"Oh you mean how one of those grimm freaks managed to get into our borders"bonnet bluntly replied as they nodded.
"Which is still remarkable in my opinion, how did that thing even get in?"elm added
Hairet shrugged her shoulder she had no clue either"i don't know but hey lets get something to eat. Then we can all do whatever today"she stated as they liked the sound of that gathering their coats. As the three left for their desiantion that being the diner to grab some grub with the others in their little gorup for the day. Because they've got to enjoy their day off.
Although all the way on the upper levels of the city right now was a specific house right now. As everyone on the upper levels where doing their best to stave off the cold along with enjoying themselves living the lavish lifestyle in the city limit that kept them warm from the harsh codntions of the city.
But right now in a specific house right now that being the current residents of a specific atlas researcher was someone rather busy at work. That being carmine alcus who was in her lap right now busy working on something. What was that something? That being supresants for those grimm knights since she was tasked to make them by the general himself.
The women has been very hard at work lately trying to produce as many as she could. But it had some draw back with the process that being the ingredients she needs. Mainly because the flowers needed for such a syruem takes a long time to bloom. But she could managed but was in her own world right now.
Carmine had some music playing which was some classical mozart setting the mood since she loved the classics. She was busy clipping some rohidiola rosea a yellow flower with a green steams with several leaves.
She clipped some of them off under a small little area with dirt in it making sure not to take too many of them. Because if she did it might wilt away and die. The women placed them in a small little container as she moved on to the next set of flowers.
This kept going on as she kept humming to herself failing to notice the sound of someone footsteps approaching her right now. Carmine just kept humming to herself wondering what to do for today. Mainly being for today schedule because after she collect the necessary flowers she has to wait for about twelve hours for them to be complete with the mixing process then she needs to add the final flower.
As she was clipping off some ginseng soon enough some pinched her hips making her yelp very loudly dropping the pruning shears in her hand as they fell to the floor. Immediately she pulled out a taser to stop her would be attacker but immediately relaxed at seeing who is was infront of her.
Because her would be attacker was her wife mariana who had a cheeky look on her face as she stared at the taser in her hands.
"So…are we going to use that when we get some alone time whenever the kids are away"mariaan playfully said
Carmine blushed slightly before turning it off placing her hand over her mouth clearing her throat to gain her composure sighing.
"For starters out anniversary isn't for another few months"carmine begun before benign down picking up the shears palcing them on a table. Then gathered the containers of the flowers placing them on a nearby table.
"Second please don't sneak up on me like that. You know how paranoid i am at times everyince i was…"She paused shaking slightly at the thought of that day.
Mariana noticed her worried walking over hugging her from behind leaning into her lovingly before rubbing her head gently.
"Don't worry about, i know i shouldn't sneak up on you dear but i saw my chance. Just take a deep breath"mariana insutrcted as carmine did that slowly taking a deep breath in then exhaled slowly doing this a few times to calm her nerves. The women kept doing this until eventually she got her nerves under control before marianan separated.
"I'm better, thank you dear sorry i just don't find that day fondly is all."carmine admitted
Mariana pulled up a chair to sit next to her"i know you don't dear, but were also very lucky that you and the kids are still here"she said
"I know…but what do you need dear?"carmine asked
"For starters i was thinking we should go out on the town later as a family. Maybe get hunter to not start skateboarding around town like an idiot"mariana replied which earned a look from her wife.
Because she recalled her reckless behavior back in the day from what she heard from her in laws. Carmine was opening the container dumping the contents into something. That being a large machine in appearance.
The machine seemed to looked like some sort of mixing machine that had a large circular object in the middle of it. With a hatch open on it suggesting it could open along with a small touch screen connected to it. Their was also a curved tube that lead to a large beaker from the looks of it.
Carmine then dumped a wide variety of flowers into the machine as she closed the hatch with a clicking noise being heard. Then she touched the screen for a moment as it then started to whirr to life as the sound of blades chopping something could be heard.
"Dear from what your father told me you got in quite some messes at your age. Don't be so quick to judge"carmine retorted making her wife freeze up slightly because she was right in a way as she groaned.
"Alright you got me their but seriously some MP's had to escort my kid to my front door. Saluting me even"mararina replied
Carmine chuckled sighing standing up cracking her very sore back from her current position she sat in. she was hunched over just plucking at some flowers but it was hard and honest work..
"I know dear but lets have some fun today maybe we could go watch a movie as a family today"carmine suggested as she liked the sound of that.
"I can get behind that now lets go downstairs and have some breakfast. "Mariana replied
The two walked downstairs and it wasn't long until the anroma of a balanced breakfast filled her nostrils. Her wife was good at making food science was her area of expertises while for her wifes it was cooking and being able to kill anyone. Which she strongly disagrees with at times how she sometime so quick to break someone leg or arm.
But the clanking of dishes could be heard as it came from two specific people that being her and marianan two kids. The first was a boy and the second was a girl.
The boy seemed to be about seventeen for his current age as he had a pair of dark green eyes. Along with hunter green hair that was tucked underneath a beanie colored dakr grey in colored with some pins on it. Mainly being an anarchy symbol, another of a skull with eyes shooting out of its head along with its brain. His skin was lightish tan color as something that was noticeable was his nose piercing along with three ear piercing on each of his two ears.
Their was also his attire which consisted of a dark green flannel shirt that was undenreath a blue bomber jakcet with white fur on the collar of it. Along with black lining the inside of the jacket with some patches on it spread around it of various things. He was wearing a pair of brown jeans with holes on the knees with a pair of red vans.
The girl seemed maybe about thirteen for her age with tan skin like her mother tortua. Along with that sporting teal hair like her mother that was long reaching her shoulders. Her eyes were light yellow.
Her attire seemed to mainly consisted of a pair of black legging that reached up past her knees. Along with a black skirt to match while wearing a teal long sleeve shirt woven in fire dust to keep her warm from the colds effects. She was also wearing zip of thin jacket colored dark brown in color unzipped as it had silver zippers to it.
"Morning you two, how'd you two sleep?"carmine greeted kissing the little girl on the forehead who smiled.
"I slept fine mom, how about you?"she asked
Carmine sat down as mariana already fixed her up a plate for breakfast. That being a set of fried eggs with some bacon strips, along with some frnech toast on another plate. Along with a piping hot cup of coffee to wake her up in the morning.
Mariana shook her head sitting down"now tealla i'm sure you can tell that mom number two stayed up last night"she said teasingly gestuirng to the small bags underneath her eyes. She wasn't up that late she just got the decent amount of sleep last night to complete her project so they could spend time together.
"Dear for starters i was just trying to get my project so we could spend time together as a family today"carmine replied but the boy rolled his eyes heavily at that.
"You woke me up at three in the morning"he spat making the women stare at her son for a moment.
"I'm sorry hunter if i woke you. You still seem livly as ever"carmine replied to her eldest child known as hunter tortuga alcus.
Hunter rolled his eyes eating his brekafast looking at his scroll. As carmine dug into her humming in delight a little relived to finally eat something after her late night overtime for her work on that project james wanted her to work on.
Tealla hummed eating her breakfast in delight right now kicking her legs before stopping to ask something.
"So does that mean are you going to spend time with us today?"tealla innocently asked
"I will but i only have about ten hours before i have to be back home to check up on my project"carmine answered immediately to her daughter dismay it seem but she bounced back smiling like the sun.
"That great!"tealla cheered making her smile at that.
As they continued to eat breakfast carmine was soon done placing her dishes in the sink to rinse them off while mariana was puting her coat on which was a teal colored puffy jacket with a hood. While she rinsed them off hunter was very engrossed in his scroll right now.
Which caught mariana attention a little seeing him not even focusing on his surrounding right now. The women used this opportunity to scare him by sneaking up behind himd quietly to see what he was doing.
"What are you doing?"marian asked making him jump fumbling with his scroll but caught it quickly hiding it from her.
"Nothing! Seriously can you not use your stupid military crap to sneak up on me"hunter said pocketing his scroll.
Mariana rolled her eyes crossing her arms under her bust"for starters it was my profession i choose. I wanted to help my kingdom everysince i became a huntresses then attended here until i became an ace op"she begun before having a teasing look because she glanced at him texting someone which made her curious.
"But thats where i met my wife and your mother. You wouldn't be here today who knows maybe your texting someone you fancy"mariana finished peeking carmine interest hearing this as she was in the process of drying her dish off as she placed it back inside the cupboard.
Hunter blushed slightly before throwing his hood up hiding it because he wasn't in the mood right now for his mother shenanigans.
"I..it was just a friend that i skate with is all. Were planning on hanging out in a couple hours"Hunter replied quickly.
Carmine sighed leaning against the counter"but i thought we'd go out as a family together. This is maybe my only other day off for a very long time"She stated
"Yeah come on big brother you can skate with your dumb friend another time"tealla added
Hunter scowled at his little sister who flinched by that look"no i can't, hes not going to be able to leave since his parents only give him one free day every few weeks"he spat which peeked mariana interest on how he reacted.
"Are you sure they can't just reschedule. Because this apparent friend of yours you've been hanging out with. Has been getting mixed up with spending time with your family"mariana firmly said guiding him to sit down to talk because this was worringiny her a little. Because it hes getting mixed up in something bad she'll never forgive herself if that happens.
"She right dear you can tell us anything, so who exactly is this friend?"carmine questioned
Hunter didn't like how their ganging up on him right now glaring exclusively at her.
"Mind your business who i associate myself with! Unlike you i didn't have some friend that caused me and my little sister to get kidnapped!"hunter shouted making carmine visbale back up hurt hearing that from her own sons mouth. As tealla frowned hugging herself shaking slightly as mariana just had a disappointed look across her face.
Carmine sat down rubbing her eyes fighting the tears as hunter realized what he did before dashing toward the door retrieving his skateboard. Then maraina chased him as she watched him get on the sidewalk beginning to skate away from the house.
"Hunters you get back here right now and–"mariana stopped all of a sudden for some reason as her left knee felt very numb for some reason. Then her entire left leg collapsed as she fell to a kneeling position which tealla noticed immediately.
"Mom!"tealla said with worry rushing over to her as carmine went wide eyed herself rubbing the tears away for a moment coming to her aid.
"Are you alright dear? Did you slip and fall?"carmine asked hosiitng her up as mariana tried to put pressure on her left leg but for some reason her prosthetics weren't responding which confused her. The women then glanced at her left hand trying to flex it right now but to her shock nothing.
Mariana sighed rubbing her eyes with her free hand"dammit…my prosthetics aren't responding. I knew i should have gotten them checked last week"she said
Carmine totally forgot that she needed to get her yearly cheek up at pietros for her prosthetics this time of year. But she glanced around trying to find any sign of her son but he was no where to be found which started to worry her immensely.
"Where did he go? If…if he by himself he might get taken by them. We need to call the police"carmine said with worrie reaching for her scroll dialing the number. But immediately mariaina pulled her scroll out of her hands placing it in her pocket.
Then she pulled her to face her getting all eyes on her"dear don't call the police alright. Hes just being a teenager right now alright."she replied as carmine had a hurt look because of what he said.
"I..i know but…maybe hes also resents me for making him and tea–"she was stopped as her daughter hugged her tight form the side with a worried look.
"Mom its not your fault, grandpa merlot just had a very terrible friend. I'm just happy were all okay"tealla sweetly said making carmine worrie wash away immediately it seems as she leaned down rubbing her head gently right now. They stood their for a bit until mariana pulled out her said scroll deciding to call someone.
"I'll call the kid and maybe a few others to find him. Make sure hes alright with this friend of his"mariana said
Carmine stood up walking to a closet opening it as she retrieved a wheelchair as she unfodled it as it clicked slightly. Then she walked over guiding mariaan over into the wheelchair gently as she sat in the chair.
"And we need to visit pietro now, i need to anyway to check up on his daughter and her progress. Kill two birds with one stone"carmine replied as the three made their way into atlas to explore the city and made a visit to a certain prosthetics doctor. While hunter was skating down the icy roads of atlas with a regretful look but kept going ahead to his desitnaiton.
While across the city right now was hariett and company who were right now trying to get away from the cold this time of year. Mainly because it was starting to get pretty bad at this time of year especially in atlas. Sometimes it could even measure it the twentieis which spelled trouble for mantle especially.
Bonnet shivered rubbing her arms trying to keep warm right now especially with the current weather because she was praticualry freezing despite her current attire.
"Seriously, this is why i hate atlas the fricking cold weather every dam day"bonnet complained for the tenth time on their way here.
Elm shook her head"you complain about the weather everytime it gets cold this time of year"she replied which earn an annoyed look from the monkey faunus.
"Sorry that i'm more used to the weather in vacuo during this time of year. Its my native homeland with the nice sunny skies. And warm sand"bonnet replied as they kept walking throught he snow as each of their footsteps crunch through the snow leaving indents of their shoe prints in the snow.
"Oh yeah speaking of vacuo you hear from that nephew of yours or your niece?"hariet questioned recalling she had a brother in vacuo last she recalled.
This made bonnet sigh as her ears tiwtched slightly"no unfortunately i haven't heard much from my brother lately."she said before her tail started to go all over the place as her ears were twitching like crazy right now which meant she was nervous about something which didn't go unnotice by the two on how she was acting.
"Hey you good over here? you look very tense"elm replied with worrie
"Yeah the only time you do that is because your very nervous about something"hariet added
Bonnet wanted to say something at first but paused on how to phrase it exactly before glancing at a nearby bench. The monkey faunus walked over as the two joined them with hairet leaning behind it while sitting next to her was elm.
Elem gently took the girl hand squeezing them tight slightly as bonnet still seemed very anxious about something.
"Now. whats bothering you? Early you seemed very anxious about something right now"elm softly asked
"What me…nerovus about something. Nah"bonnet replied making them try to avoid this subject right now. But the two ace ops weren't buying it because for starters the women was a terrible lier when she acts like this. Hairet knew it since they went through basic training together back in the academy here.
Hariet groaned rubbing her eyes"bon just say it seriously what is it going to be the end of the world or something?"She asked as the monkey faunus groaned deciding to finally say it.
"Right now i'm very worried about my nephew for one. My brother told me he went to menagerie for some reason a while back."bonnet replied as the two understood why she was nervous.
"Are you worried that he got into trouble or something on the island"elm asked as she nodded
Hariet tapped her chin at that for a moment because she might be worried about the white fang with how their current reputation has labeled them as a terrorist. The island could be a main cell of theirs on that island.
"Your worried about the white fang. Look i'm sure it'll be fine they got some decent huntsman and huntresses their."hairet said in confidence which didn't really seem to dwell her worries it seems because she seemed relieved hearing that. But she also had a small smirk it seems which made them think she punking them.
Elm slide away slightly"why are you smiling all of a sudden wukong?"she questioned
Because this particular monkey faunus was the aunt of one sun wukong. The mischievous monkey faunus from shade academy along with being the leader of team SSSN.
Hairet took a big step away"She right because i don't like that look. If this is one of your pranks i'm tossing you off the city."she warned pointing a finger at her.
But instead bonnet got up digging through her pockets for a bit until retreiivng something from it. Mainly being something she got in the mail a few days ago which just made her very happy.
"No because look what my sister in law had!"bonnet cheered presenting a photo in her hands. It showed a picture of a baby who had tan skin with a presnhensail monkey tail like hers that was very short. Along with tufs of brunette color hair. Along with their eyes closed wrapped up in light green blanket laying on some blankets in the forground.
The two were surprised slightly to hear that what the women was excited about right now. Elm smiled before patting the monkey faunus on the back making her stumble slightly but she got her footing immediately.
"Thats great to hear, i was wondering what you were gushing over for the past two days"elm contruglated
Harriet chuckled"well guess you got another niece or nephew."she replied before thinking of something interesting.
"Wait let me guess its a….girl am i right?"hairet asked
Bonnet snapped her fingers poketing the photo back into her wallet as they continued their walk toward the diner to meet with the others.
"Correct you are, Nuwa just recently had her about a week ago. She so gosh darn adorable i just wanna leave this city and go nuzzle that little itty bitty face"bonnet cooed in a baby voice earning a couple laugh seeing her acting like this.
"Alright we get it your an aunt, though at some point you gotta start your own family. Your brothers beating you by three kids"elm pointed out making bonnet blush heavily at that as her tail drooped to the ground.
This caused it to land in a pile of snow as once her tail touched it her eyes shot out of her head. Because the cold and frozen liquid made her yelp slightly as she jumped grabbing her tail holding it trying to warm it up immediately from the cold.
"Ah…ah…cold..cold…seriously i hate snow"bonnet groaned again
"Quit compalining about the stupid snow we get it. Though…where here"harreitt said getting the two attention.
Because the two finally arrived at the diner they planned to meet the others at for their day off after so long. It was a simple one store building with a green and brown color scheme to it. Their were some windows that viewed the inside of it showing it was busy. Along with a sigh above it that had a golden pig on it that had the diner name on it.
Hareitt glanced at the sign as it read"golden boar diner, "she read inside her head deciding to head inside.
The three stepped inside feeling the relief of the warmth in the building as they were met by a marred of smells and noises. The place was rather busy in the morning with people from the various places of atlas. Their was even a few people in dress clothes, they know a good place despite it benign greasy.
"Alright lets get something to eat i'm starving"Elm said before a familiar voice called out to them.
"Well your lucky we just got here and were waiting for you three to show up"a male voice spoke up as they knew one person who makes luck puns. They glanced over by at a nearby booth that being the leader of the ace ops clover ebi.
But he was wearing something different than his tradtioanlly ace ops attire. Which consisted of a pair of brown pants with a pair of black winter boots to match with it. While he wore a simple light blue t-shirt underneath a dark green leather jacket that was slightly thicker. On the right side of the jacket was a four leaf clover cmbordded into it along with a horseshoe on the left.
Next to him was a familiar wolf faunus by the name of marrow amin with the nonstop wagging tale. He was wearing the attire he wore when him and harriett where helping those detectives around atlas at the time.
Their was also vine zeki who sported a simple tan pair of pants with some navy blue boots with a medium green turleneck. While he wore some beds around his neck with a red scraf right next to him on the table.
But their was also a new face that being a man in his early forties by his appearance. He seemed to have rather lightish tan skin but their was gleaming fact about the right side of his skin. That being heavily scarred burns on the entire right side of his face as his ear was slightly deformed. Though his eyes seemed in working condition colored dakr brown in color. While his hair was chocolate brown styled into a crewcut.
Though his current attire consited of a pair of black jeans with a pair of brown knee high boots with steel tips at the end of them. Along with wearing a dark grey t-shirt for an undershirt that had an acoustic guitar on it named"Remnant roughriders". Over that he wore a simple chocolate brown bomber jakcet with tan fur on it. But on his right hand he wore a black combat glove.
"Wisly said ebi usually its the ladys that get here first"the man said to hariett annoyance especially having to deal with three people terrible puns right now.
"Enough with the stupid puns seriously, can we have a day off without listening to you two jokes"hariett asked
Clover chuckled slightly"Come on now hare, its a great way to relive stress and lighten things up. Your lucky i do them"he replied doing another pun to her annoyance.
"Alright clove stop it before she blows up for hearing you and cho stupid puns"marrow warned but wanted them to keep doing.
Vine had a cup of tea already drinking it setting it down as it clinked onto the table as he placed it on the booths where in.
"Calm yourself you too. Humor is good for the soul yes but sometimes you don't always need to joke around"vine said as they quickly made room for the three.
Luckily the booth was big enough for them as they just slide right in. along with that their very lucky to have one friendly place for faunus since two of them in their little group are faunus which makes finding a decent place to grab a bit hard.
"He right, though how is your day going so far?"elm asked
"Pretty good, though what are you three plans for today?"clover asked before flipping a coin in the air, not even looking he caught it as he moved it through his fingers not even bothering to look right now.
"Me i'm probably going to catch up on that book i've been reading or check on the general later"he added
"Always gotta be a suck up to the mighty general irownood don't you ebi"the man jabbed making clover narrow his gaze slightly toward him.
"Miller you might wanna be careful where you say that. Who knows if the general is at this diner"clover warned to the man known as miller cho. Miller put a hand up at him for that.
"Maybe he is, maybe he isn't hes more involved with you know what right now"miller clued them in as hairet knew what he was talking about. That being jacque schnee the owner of the schnee dust company. But as of late from what the general said he made his list which is something you don't ever wanna be on.
Marrow sighed as his tail swayed hitting the back of the booth to his annoyance grabbing it stopping it momentarily.
"You mean how he made the general don't mess with me list"marrow said in air quotes.
"Oh i heard about that but i'm starving. Seriously can we order something to eat"bonnet said they all agreed on that some breakfast would do them some good. A waitress passed by them taking their orders as she soon came back with their food as they each ordered a variety of things. For marrow it was just three fried eggs, two pieces of toast and some coffee. Clover ordered a plate of scmablred eggs with a pomegranate on the side. While for miller it was three stacks of pancakes. For vine a small bowl of blueberries with some oatmeal for a simple man.
Hariet just ordered some coffee on the go just incase with a plate of three fried eggs. While bonnet ordered two strips of bacon, three yolks eggs, two pieces of french toast with a latte. Elm ordered some waffles with some saugelinks with orange juice. They began to dig into their breakfast discussing their plans for the day.
"Well for me i'll probably return to my apartment to pratice some mediating. Along with catching up on my reading on that series i've been meaning to finish"Vine simply replied
"Oh yeah i recalled you mentioning that. What was it…mastering one inner self or something?"elm asked as he nodded.
Marrow rolled his eyes taking a bite of his breakfast"i'm pretty sure the guys got that mastered already. Seriously your probably the most tranquil guy here"he joked but complemented actually finding him to be inspiring how level headed he was at times.
"He gots you their zeki, how many of those books have you even read?"miller asked as vine took a sip of his tea before speaking.
"If i well verse myself in the subject i'll be very well adapt in the topic. It may prove useful in the future at some point"vine replied
Bonnet was scarffing down her food with delight as she seemed to have an appetite rivaling one specific orange haired girl in remenannt somewhere right now where ever she is. Elm was simply enjoying her slowly eating hers glancing at her.
"You need to slow down bon, or you'll have that all go to your hips"Elm warned as bonnet face was praticualry stuff before she swallowed the current food in her mouth taking a break.
"Okay miss i ordered waffles with whip cream on it"bonnet countered pointing at elm current spread as the women flet a little embarrassed about that. Marrow laughed pointing at her.
"Oh she got you their surprised you didn't order alot like last time"marrow said
Elm seemed to growl at that"are you saying i'm fat?!"elm shouted getting some diner patrons attention but he slinked down putting a hand up because he wasn't insinuating that at all.
"No because last time you nearly broke my wallet after celebrating your birthday rootfoot"marrow corrected making the women simmer down slightly before clearing her throat for a moment.
"Oh he got you their though…for me today i'll probably stop by robyns place. And pick up my little juney"miller cooed in a sweet voice. As all of them collectively groaned except vine who didn't seem bothered by what he said.
"If you go on about her right now i'm throwing you out the window"hariett warned.
"Same here, i may be excited about my brother having another little girl but you don't see me freaking out"bonnet casually said peeking their interest especially millers it seems who leaned over as the others decided to congratulate her.
"Hey congrats on having another niece, you got a pic let me guess its a girl with a tail like yours"clover guessed as he was right. Bonnet showed the picture of her new niece as he was right it was a girl and her faunus traits was a tail like hers.
Marrow chuckled'of course you'd get that right, whats the little girls name?"he asked
'Oh if i recalled in his letter he named her olive. Though you better stop"bonnet warned miller who had starry eyes looking at the picture right now. Because he found very small and adorable things to be his one weakness.
"But she's so cute, i just wanna pinch her little cheeks"miller cooed before she snatched the photo away from him to his disappointment as he layed his head on the table.
"Depsite cho little session of him gushing over her niece. We should get going were probably grabbing drinks with tort later"elm said as they all payed for their meal stepping outside of the diner. But once they did hariett scroll rang as she got a message from mariana as she read it.
"Hey kid got a favor to ask, my dumb son got in a fight with my wife. He ran off along with that visiting pietro for my tune up. Be a doll and see where he might be"mariana text read as she looked at the others walking ahead of her.
"Hold up speaking of tort, seems hunter might have gotten in trouble"hariett stated catching their attention.
"Well thats just great, here i thought we'd get a normal day. Alright where should we cover ground first?"marrow said immediately up for the task. But hariet had an idea where he might be going.
"Nah i got an idea where he might be going, might be heading to robyn place"hariet replied
Clover nodded"you all do that i'm gonna check with the general in the meantime at base. Maybe catch a drink with you all later"he said walking off to atlas command. As hariet, elm, miller and marrow decided to pay robyn place a visit. While bonnet and vine decided to go check up on pietro and his clinic down in mantle.
Seems interesting things are happening in atlas right now with harriet and company doing some babysitter duty. While hunter seems to be hiding something from his parents. Though I wanted to shift the change to atlas to cover a surprise for this universe. OC's are hunter and tella, miller, bonnet who is sun aunt, olive wukong. Thanks for reading!
