chapter 5:Grimm Day
The city of vale was known for many things, being home to the once infamous school beacon academy. But now the once proud school lays in ruin because of the event known as the fall. Although the city has recently had a severe advantage against the grimm that took the city. Mainly being the defeat of another grimm knight that roamed the city streets. There was also the recent defeat of the mercenary leader of the crimson talon.
Though right now in the base everyone was hard at work trying to rebuild from the attack from yesterday. Paul was hard at work coordinating them to rebuild the wall. While Tulip was helping with the return of those they lost during the siege on the base. Their family deserves some closure for the people that died. But all the students who came to help take the city back. But today they were taking a rest day from saving the base.
All of them did their own thing, mainly team NDGO stuck with earl and ophelia most of the time. While yumi and cardin seemed to still be close as every second of the day it seems. Although in the medical tent most of the time it was Xander being taught proper medical aid by Peach and ross. The two took the young wolf under their wings. Velvet also helped there too while Coco either hung around her or her favorite uncle faba. But the rabbit also hung around her now alive boyfriend alot too
But with others mainly being may she was hanging out with leon most of the time, bonding over sniping. There was also akasha, naca and miyuki hanging out but the winter maiden also kept checking on eden. Though with glynda she was coordinating the huntsmans their with the help of nezumi. With trifa and yuma helping locating possible white fang cells in vacou.
Although inside a small jailcell layed zane as he was just getting up it seems. Though if you could count sleeping on the hardground with terrible bedding and a pillow. Along with a little hole for him to relive himself.
Soon enough the light that poured into the cell his only lightsource woke up him up. He groaned as he slowly opened his dark blue eyes. Immediately he sat up rubbing his side as he winced slightly. Because yesterday he broke another rib as it slightly healed.
"Ughh whats with me and breaking my ribs so much"zane said to himself but was talking to someone else.
"I don't know maybe they like to go for the ribs. Besides you should make a game out of it"bane said in his head. Zane rolled his eyes because he didn't forget about that parasite glued to his spine.
Zane huffed"forgot about you the grimm in my back. The one who ruined my life up until now"he said coldly as some hisses could be heard from his back.
"I'm sorry i never asked for this. I know this is alot to take in right now but its something you gotta get used to"bane replied making him just shake his head. Everysince he found out what this voice in his head was it made him very weary of the bug.
But he sat their patiently waiting for someone it seems because after maybe ten minutes soon shadows loomed over his cell. He looked up to see one very familiar face that being his lynxed ear aotpive cousin vance. But next to him was a certain doctor that being doctor merlot. A genesis in genetics, grimm biology and one of the creators of the grimm knights.
Their was also someone else that being the atlas captain assigned to help the soldiers here. He had tan skin along with seeming in his mid thirties with hazelnut colored eyes. His hair was picton blue but cut short as he wore an atlas beret. Along with the standard issue atlesian soldier unfirom with his rank on his right breast.
"Heyya cousin you up or you gonna be sleeping all day?"vance asked jokingly as he groaned stretching as he cracked his neck, then stretched his back until a loud crack could be heard.
"I've been asleep for a whole month and a week straight. I gotta stretch my leg"Zane replied approaching the cell door but the primming of guns could be heard. Two atlas soilder aimmed their weapons excluslivly at his head.
"Inmate your not to approach the cell door unless told. If you do not comply you'll be killed on sigh"The atlas captain said making vance just give him a dirty look.
Merlot sighed"captain picto you don't need to be so rude to the boy. Hes not some lunatic treat him with some kindness"he begged to the atlas captain known as picto thomas. Picto just scoffed at that glaring at him then into the cell.
"I aint gonna treat some grimm with kindness, we have strict orders to detain any grimm hybrids. Now back up"picto asked but more like threatened. He agreed putting his hand up going to the far back of the makeshift cell. Back in atlas he's done the same song and dance soo many times he used to it.
Soon enough picto produced some keys unlocking his cell doors then unlocked the door. The two soldier stepped into the room first as they began to strip search the place. They threw around the makeshift bedding as if he could hide anything from them. The two kept doing this for a while until finally they were done but the place was a mess.
"Sir no contraband has been found in the prisoners cell"the first soldier stated
"Yes all that was found was a small picture from the looks of it"the second said presenting a picture as zane eyed.
"Hey give it back!"zane demanded but as he tired to snatch it the first soldier rifle bashed him to the ground. He fell hard to the ground rubbing his jaw as vance growled looking at the soldier who did it.
"Hey jerk thats his so can you give him it back now"vance demanded as the soldier ignroed him handing it too picto. The captain looked to see a bloodstained photo that zane took with his team before the final round at the vtyal festival.
Picto just eyed him before tossing it onto the ground as zane picked it up placing it inside his jacket.
"Alright thats fine but today is your lucky day you get to leave your cell. But you will be under close supervision. "Picto begun before he reached into one of his many pouches. After some searching he retrieved something made zane eyes sink into his skull, an SDC collar.
"Your to wear this at all times unless i've given orders for it to be removed"picto said holding the collar out for him to put it on. Vance eyed his cousin who just stared at like their telling him to put a bomb on his neck.
"Look he doesn't need to wear a collar. Just have your stupid soldier watch him"vance argued
"I agree, look the boy wore one before back when that madman took him. He doesn't need to wear one again"merlot said with worry as vance ears perked up hearing that. The lynx guessed he wore one back when he was kidnapped but it seems this doctor was very sympathetic toward him.
"I don't care if the kid got trauma from it. He either wears one or he can't leave"picto said as they stayed in silence before he just decided to do it. Without a word zane took the collar, he took a heavy breath snapping it on as it clanked shut. But he was actually afraid of wearing these collars, they brought back terrible memories.
"Their i'm wearing the necktie…can i please get something to eat or whatever"Zane asked as he nodded as they escorted him outside the cell. The two guards stood on each side as they walked out of the cell. He covered his eyes from the bright light as they adjusted soon.
Infront of him everyone in the base with all the soldiers hard at work. Weather that be training, going on patrol or making sure their one stand against the grimm was destroyed. Though it was still pretty nice that some people were willing to fight the grimm.
He took a breath of air"well i'm out of that musty cell, seriously you guys gotta get a cleaning lady in their"zane joked to pictos annoyance as vance chuckled slightly.
"Nice one though why don't we something to eat."vance said as the two were walking forward. Although merlot stopped the two clearing his throat.
"Actually before you leave i tried to fix that bracelet of yours. But unfortunately i don't have the parts for it. Though i did fix your scroll"merlt said digging though his coat retrieving the fixed scroll as he took it.
"The only reason your wearing that collar is to keep you in check. Only way you can roam free right now"picto added annoyed it seems.
"Thank you doc…can't be without my only phone i've had"zane said pocketing his scroll
Merlot smiled hearing that"it was no problem i would like to return some kindness to the person life i've ruined. Its nice to see one of those people free"merlot replied as he began to walk toward the command tent with his hands behind his back.
"I'll be heading to talk to the headmistress and general hollaway. I'll come by later to fetch you for dealing with those mental suggestion"merlot aded before walking away from the two. Then without much arguing the two with the two guards walked toward the messhall. While picto went about his duties around the base.
Their walk to the messhall wasn't that long but along the way they got weird looks. That mainly being looks of disgust, hatred and some glares from the soldiers and huntsman in the base all directed toward zane. He knew everyone hates his guts for starting the fall but he just tried to ignore it.
But once they were inside the messhall not that many people in their it seems. As he walked in he glanced around to see if he knew anyone in here. Then he glanced toward a table that had five familiar faces on it. That being cardin eating his food along with velvet, xander, akasha along with the storyteller of beacon academy, professor peter port.
Vance noticed them tapping his shoulder"hey lets grab some grub then you can catch up with them. "He suggested.
"That sounds nice wonder what else they've been up to after my death"zane replied as they walked over to the line where you could grab the food. The soldier stayed near the entrance keeping an eye exlcusvily on him. Along with all the others in the messhall, several of them kept mumruing looking at him.
"Why is that murderer here, shouldn't it be locked up in its cage"an atlas soldier said as several more simliar comment came.
"Yeah a monster shouldn't roam free feed it some of the ruffus from the trash"A huntresses jabbed laughing as some with her laughed at that.
Vance glared at the people making the comments"seriously just ignore them man, once we prepare for menagerie. You'll see auntie and your girl"vance reassured
Zane smiled hearing that"yeah though mom will kill me when she sees me again. And uh if i have girlfriend"zane sadly said but infront of him someone spoke up.
"Hey quit being moopy like your cousin was back in vacou"a female voice spoke infront of him. He looked up to see who it belong to that would be nebula violetta. The leader of team NDGO who was in the process of getting some breakfast.
"Okay for one i was moopy because your girlfriend kept giving me crap along with your teammates."vance said then looked toward his cousin because of their comments directed toward him.
Nebula sighed looking down"look i'm sorry about that alright, but hey at least your cousin alive."nebula stated the positive which made the lynx smile hearing that from her. But it made zane wonder why the heck is she being nice to him. For starters his team wiped the floor with them during the vytal festival. And it seems like everyone hates him.
"Why are you being so nice to me?"zane questioned
Nebula just stood their for a moment thinking how to respond as she sighed"hey i aint always gonna be a jerk. I know when not to be a jerk judging by everyone else"she said glancing around the place at all the huntsman and soldiers glaring toward them it seems.
"Your not wrong seriously can they quit oggling at me, i know they love me"zane quipped making her look at him weird. But shrugged her shoulders continuing to move through the line. As they did the cook was hard at work handing out food to all the hunger people stationed at the camp.
The cook in question was an athletic looking women in her late twenties. She had on a light green shirt with the words"don't mess with the cook"printed on the front of it. She wore a pair of simple blue jeans along with a pistol holster strapped to her side. Her skin was dark as she had reddish purple hair along with ligh orange eyes. Along with a name tag reading vio on it
She was hard at work providing the hunger soldier their food as they walked up with their trays. The three did the same grabbing their trays as she kept dumping what appears to be some scrambled eggs and some sausage links to the people.
"Alright here you go gents don't want you all starving now"vio said as the soldier nodded taking their food to their table.
Nebula slide her tray over greeting her"hey vio whats on tody menu because ifs it beans again i'm not eating it"she said in annoyance
"Don't worry your getting your balanced meal for the day. Today your getting some eggs along with sausage link or bacon.'vio said reassuring the girl as she got her tray filed with some eggs and bacon along with a bottle or orange juice.
Then it was vance turn as he grabbed some scrambled eggs along with some sausage links. Then finally he grabbed a bottle of milk. But when it was zane turn the women just ignored him as she stared at him with disgust.
"Sorry were out of food better next luck next time"vio said but vance was still their as he eyed the container full of food. Their was still plenty of food still left as he just looked annoyed at her.
"Are you kidding me? You got a plenty of food are you seriously gonna let him strave?"vance said in annoyance
Vio glared potinign her ladle at the lynx"kid this kitchen aint yours for starters i run things here. And secondly i aitn gonna serve a monster, none the less a grimm"she spat as zane visible backed up at hearing that. He knows that the fall was his fault but everysince he arrived here yesterday everyone here has been very rude to him.
Vance growled looking at her setting his tray down pointing a finger in her face with malice in his eyes.
"Lady just give him something to eat, seriously do i need to smack you upside the head"vance threatened making her snap her fingers as a couple soldiers and huntsman stood up glaring at the two. They looked ready to fight them at any given moment.
"Hey kid leave the women alone if she doesn't wanna serve a murderer let her"a soilder said
"Yeah though just give him some of that moldy crap you have. Thing deserves to be treated like a grimm"a huntsman added
This gave the women an idea as she shifted around in the back for a bit. Then she dropped something onto his tray with a smug look that being a moldy looking loaf of bread along with a moldy orange.
"Their you got food now get moving, if not we can just kill another grimm knight. Saves us the trouble of having to keep an eye on you"vio spat. Vance was about to argue but he relneted
"Guess this is breakfast…super"zane said with a monotone voice as he walked over. Vance just glared at them with disgust taking his tray of food following his cousin. But he wondered if his cousin will be fine handling all this bullying.
Meanwhile at the table everyone was in a deep discussion right now that being what they'll probably be doing to kill time before they head to menagerie.
"So on today agenda since we got what like three days until we leave for menagerie. What are we doing?"Cardin asked as he dug into his breakfast for the day.
Velvet ears tiwtched a little tapping her chin"Well i'll probably be helping out at the medical tent today. Since i have prior medical knowledge"she replied
"Same here peach and ross said they'll be teaching me to properly dress a wound today. "Xander replied as he ate his breakfast
Akasha chuckled slightly eating her"Well for starters i'll probbaly take a hot shower. Seriously what we used in those sewers was terrible"she replied as her and xander shivered. Because they had to use rain water to do to it along with recycled sewer water. It was not a very pleasant experience.
Port just gave a hearty chuckle"well i've found many ways to survive on the land when i was a huntsman. This one time on an expedition we had to make do without our weapons. Because we ran out dust and bullets as we came face to face with several grimm"port begun as velvet and cardin prepared themselves for a boring lecture with some knowledge mixed in.
"Uhh okay what don't tell me you used pointy sticks to kill them"akasha joked
"Percisly we used nearby tree branches to make spears and spiked walls. Those grimm stood no chance against us"port replied with his signature bravo-ho. Though as they kept conversing the three walked over joining them. But once zane sat down all the others that weren't in their group got up moving tables glaring at him. With a few bumping into him.
Cardin glared at them slightly but smiled at his friend he hasn't seen in so long.
"Don't mind them grimm boy, those guys are just being jerks."cardin reassured with a slight shoulder tap as he rubbed it.
"Heh at least it wasn't the stuff you pulled back at beacon"zane replied reminding him as velvet giggled slightly.
"Maybe if he does it again he'll have to wear a maid dress"velvet teased making carin blush slihglty hearing that as they laughed at him. Akasha pounded the table laughing for a bit as nebula snickered slightly.
"Man thank remnant the headmaster didn't dish that punishment out at shade"nebula replied
"hey say something like that again bunny ears and i'll pull your ears"he said making the girl go slightly pales puttng her hand on her rabbit ears
"No please! Anything but that!"velvet said. Cardin could't help but chuckle getting her attention
"Oh man you feel for it"cardin replied trying no to laugh. Velvet gave him a pouty look before proceeding to ball her hands into fist as she then banged on his head.
"You jerk! Jerk! jerk!"velvet said reperatly pounding his head as he tried to defined himself from the cute onslaught.
"Alright alright sorry"cardin sai quickly apolgized as velvet stopped her cute onslaught making them laugh.
Port ate his food for a bit though looked over at zane tray noticing the horrible food he was given. The old huntsman had a disgusted look on his face.
" i'm sure that will not satisfy someone appetite that needs to recovery from their injuries"port pointed out getting some attention. Cardin looked to see moldy food on his tray which upsetted him guessing the cooks here are refusing him food.
"Hey hes right what did they get that stuff from the garbage or something"akasha pointed out as xander sniffed a few times, moments before gagging. Because it smelled rancid like it was sitting in the garbage.
"Blegh shes right, should we go grab nezumi or glynda to tell them to give you something to eat"Xander asked but he waved that off as he pushed his tray laying his head down.
"I'll be fine, i can skip a meal for a day. I'm not that hunger anyway"zane replied but soon enough the rumbling of someone stomach could be heard. Which was his as he just threw his hood up laying his head down.
They all looked a little worried seeing this as without even thinking xander pushed his tray forward that still had some food their. While vance placed his bottle of milk infront of him.
"Look i..i don't need this i–"but he was stopped as port pointed something very obvious out.
" you can't avoid eating i understand since you've arrived you've been treated harslhy. But you need to keep your strength up i'll have someone talk to vio later"port said as he wanted to argue but sighed eating the food. It tasted pretty good even it it was a megar amount. They all ate their breakfast until fisnihing up then went off into the base.
Once outside the two guards flanked zane as they followed the small group as port went off to talk to glynda about what happened. As they walked around the camp they split off to their own things which left cardin, him and vance walking toward the training area. Already over their was may praticing with her axe as she was swinging at a dummy several times. The vacou sniper kept dealing several slashes to the dummy praticing. She kept swinging into it several times until eventually demolishing the dummy.
May panted severely times as from the side someone clapped for her as she looked over to who was doing it.
"Nice job kid though work on that stance of yours. If you wanna beat that chick you lost to in the vytal festival"leon reminded as he sat in a chair polishing down his sniper. The beanies girl rolled her one eye.
"Hey i've been praticing nonstop since i lost. Next time i won't lose against her"may said in confidence as the old sharpshooter grinned at her.
"I'm sure you will but remember sometimes you can't always realy on that sniper of yours"leon reminded as she nodded holding her axe then glanced toward the others smiling.
"Hey you three here to get some training in?"may asked as leon looked up eyeing the group for a bit. But relaxed it seems seeing a collar on one of them. Cardin walked over sitting down as he brought his mace out that was clipped to his back.
"Eh a little bit though gues your preparing for your rematch when we get to menagerie"cardin asked as the girl nodded. Becaus she didn't plan on losing next time. Vance stretched a little as he limber up while zane just sat on a small bench as the soldiers kept close to him.
"Can you guys seriously not get so close"zane asked as the soldier both eyed him down as one gestured to his rifle. This made him stop as he sat their wanting to pratice with his weapon hes borrowing. But they'll probably not allow him anyway.
"Well just ignore those two beside gotta get you back in shape. Can't pratice with your gear but a quick weight exercise might help"vance suggested as his cousin nodded at that idea. Because if he wanted to be at full strength for when they head to menaegire hes gotta get some muscle back. Without arguing him, cardin and vance started to do a small weight exercise together to pass the time.
Meanwhile in the medical tent right now it was busy as usually. Several people were still being treated for their injuries after yesterdays siege the entire medical tent was filled with injured soilders and huntsman. But right now in a small little corner of the medical tent in a sort of private room was miyuki.
The room was typical as it had a small hospital bed for the patients to sleep. Along with the current patient being a certain bear faunus who was awake right now. Though hooked up to her was a heartarate monitor beeping at a steady velvet didagnsoing her alongside a nurse. Miyuki was all smiles right now seeing her best friend from her village.
"Its so great to see you again…i..i thought you were dead"miyuki said with tears still holding her best friend hand who weakly returned it.
"I know..its..i never thought i'd escape from those slavers. "Eden weakly said since her body hurt all over. But right now she was in some fresh clothes that being a patient pants and shirt. Though the nurse was checking something right now where her stomach was being a small tube inserted into her stomach.
"Well don't worry dear your somewhere safe now. But with your current condition you'll need to be fed through this tube for a couple days. "The nurse begun as she had a clipboard in hand writing some stuff down.
"Why does she need to have a tube inside her exactly?"naca questioned from the side sitting in a chair spinning around. The girl was their to always keep an eye on miyuki just incase. Because she had one mission given to her leader and thats to make sure the winter maiden is safe at all times.
Velvet was fluffing a pillow then placed it behind eden head as she layed on feeling relaxed. Because its been so long since she layed on an actual pillow and bed. It felt like heaven to her.
"For starters since shes suffering from severe malnutrition she seems to struggle with eating. The tube will pump nutrients into her stomach to get her back to full strength. "Velvet explained simply as she was getting something else ready. That being some icepacks because the girls aura barely returned since she also suffering from severe aura exhaustion from wearing that collar.
"Oh thats…okay but at least..i..i'm not in those mines anymore"eden said stuttering slightly which worried miyuki. Because she knows the girl is scared probably of being taken again but hoped she can recover.
Miyuki grasped one of her hands with both of hers"its okay don't worry about that anymore. Though i got good news"she said catching her attention. The nurse quickly got called to do something else as eden stared at her long time friend.
"What are you talking about?"eden qusstioned softly as miyuki had some tears form in her eyes.
"For starters your little sister piper is in menagerie right now. Team ZERO saved us, her aunt accepted her with open arm."Miyuki answered which made eden go wide eyed slightly. It slipped her mind to ask about her little sister.
The bear faunus sat their for a bit before some tears came running down her face. Eden just smiled hearing that because her little sister was okay.
"I..i..i'm so happy to hear that…i was so scared people would try to kill her. "Eden cried in joy as miyuki emrbaced her
"Oh your talking about that little uras girl that came to the school."velvet replied peeking the bear faunus interest as miyuki undid her embrace.
"Wait…you ran into my little sister?"eden qeustioned
"Yep and i persoanlyl helped dress the feral looking girl"coco said from the side as she walked into the room. The fashion monoger hoped onto a chair as it spun for a bit. Velvet got worried stopping it as the two eyed each other.
"You need to be careful you could break your arm or worsen it"velvet warned but coco just pinched her nose slightly.
"Come on bun relax i'll be fine i'm not just danty little girl. I've handle alot tougher things and…sweeter things"coco said as she pinched the girl on the hip making her squeak slightly. Then she jumped back blushing glaring at her slihglty for doing that. Naca snickered slightly pointing at the two.
"Hey thats harassing the staff you could get charge for that, and shes got a boyfriend remeber"naca joked as they laughed slightly at the small joke.
"Alright your that little girls older sister. Kinda upsetting to see someone so young looking like some grimm"coco said which made eden upset as she looked down at her bed sheets.
"It..it is…but…she still my little sister i'd love her no matter what. I'm all she got left after our parents were killed. "Eden said as some tears started to form in her eyes. Coco relazied she hit a sore spot as she used her one good arm placing it on her shoulder.
"You don't need to continue, get some rest you've earned it after all you've experience"coco said wisly to velvet surprise slightly. The girl took her advice as she layed back slowly closing her eyes to get some much needed rest. Then she and velvet decided to leave after she gave some more diagnositacs as the other two stayed close by.
But once outside the clinic coco noticed something that being velvet with an upset look which worried her.
"Hey bun you good over here you seem in the dumps?"coco pointed out making velvet jump slihglty as she fumbled with her clipboard but caught it.
"I..its nothing i'm very happy my boyfriend is alive right now. But…i kinda wish yatsu and fox were still here."velvet sadly replied making coco just look down sigghing. Without a word she brought her over in an side embrace with her one good arm.
"I know vel i miss those two alot, but their probably happy we did some good"coco reassured which it did. But as they stood their for a bit before she returned to help those in need in the medical tent. While coco went off to go do her own thing for the day.
Although in the main command tent right now was glynda as she was studying something. That being what layed infront of a charred skeleton of what remains of the sabyr knight. Though the women also knew him personally back when she attended beacon. If memeorie serves her right he was the leader of team DAND(Danelion). It pained her to see someone she knew turn into a monster.
Along with her in the tent was nezumi who was drinking some tea to keep herself relaxed. The spider faunus was staring at the skeleton along with celeste close by next to her without her cast on her arm now.
"So you two gonna keep staying in silence or what?"celeste said breaking their long silence.
Glynda sighed sitting down looking at the skeleton"well for starters it very hard to believe this was once a very old friend of mine. "She said with sadness in her tone.
"Yeah though uh sorry i kinda killed the guy."nezumi apolgized for having to kill the sabyr knight. But glynda shook her head telling her she was fine, they needed to kill it before that thing took control. Because next to them was a small file on the table that talked about the chimera grimm.
They read it extensively on what this grimm exactly was along with what it did. Because for starters it amazed her something like this existed still in their world. But it did explain how these grimm hybrids exist. Though one of them made her curious the one that attended beacon academy.
Because while she served under ozpin he always had an alternative motive when it comes to thing. He knew of two of their students being ex white fang which he allowed it seems. Along with the existence of one of the four season maidens being at their school. This made her wonder what was his plan with him.
"Your fine though it seems you get to claim the bounty on him now. Once atlas comes for that inspection in a few days you can claim it"glynda reminded the two despardo who nodded.
Nezumi sat in a chair drinking her tea then set it down"eh i could do that might be worth it for our organization. Though lost alot of men during that siege"she said
"You mean how we went from having about seven three soldiers then got our numbers dropped to forty five. "Celeste reminded the heavy losses they experienced yesterday with the attack. This would cause a problem since they need more manpower to take the city back.
Glynda sighed as she paced around trying to come up with an idea for that. She could send word for more huntsman to help but they may be needed in other continents right now. With havan academy in break session along with shade it seems theirs one risk. That being both of them under attack since the next target is havan.
"I understand thats a major problem we could request your commander to send more troops. "Glynda suggested but was immedialty shot down.
"Sorry deck won't send that many troops since he wants to protect shade academy. Everyinsce the attack he tasked our guys to protect it at all cost"nezumi reminded which was smart incase they attack the academy next.
Before tehy could continue any further from the tent flaps merlot emerged walking forward. They were surprised to see him here slightly.
"Ah what bring you here today?"gkynda asked as he took a seat placing his hands together.
"For starters i came to ask for help on one major issue. That being the removal of the young man mental suggestions. "Merlot stated which got some attention.
"Your talking about cat ears cousin almost forgot he was here for a moment"nezumi said smiling slightly which celeste noticed but waited for the right moment.
Glynda did forgot about that problem because she could just send him to atlas, but had second thoughts.
"Hmm since your bringing this up what do you suggest we do about it?"glynda questioned as the doctor thought for a moment. Then he grabbed a pad and paper as he began to jote some notes down on it as he explaiend.
"For starters while i worked with my so called colleague. He implemented several mental suggestions in seven of the thriteen knights of grimm. Those being lota, epsilon,zeta, theta, gamma,upilsion and finally omega. "Merlot begun as the three decided to ask.
"Hmm guessing you can't get rid of them yourself"nezumi asked as he nodded
"Yes arthur made sure they were only tied to his voice. If i had the tech i could make a voice moduilator to try and rid him of those mental suggestion"merlot cotninued but paused for a moment which didn't go unnotice by glynda.
"I assume you don't know exactly how many of them their are?"glynd asked as he regrettable nodded. Which seemed to dissuade them for a bit but nezumi cupped her chin for a moment. She rather not see the lynx get hurt overusing his semblance.
Then an idea came to the women as she snapped her fingers"okay for starters you said you don't know how many of these mental suggestion their are right?"she asked
Merlot nodded"percisly i know you could put mental blocks on all of them. But it would probably take months since we checked last night"he reminded.
Last night why checked to see how many mental suggestion their was in his head. And to their dismay vance concluded their was several of them that might take a very long time to put mental blocks on.
"What extactly are you geting at ?"glynda questioned as the spider faunus smirekd walking over as she placed her hand son celeste. This confused the two why she was holding the women.
"Because for starters we got someone who can help us clear those up quickly"nezumi stated with a smile as celeste slightly chuckled.
"I get what your playing at you want me to use my semblance"celeste replied which begged the question what was the women semblance.
Merlot mehcianical eye clicked for a bit as he tapped his chin" what exactly is your semblance could it help deal with these mental sugggestion quickly?"he asked with hope
"Yep back in the military i was an intergator. Semblance came in handy where i can enter someone mind. I call it mindscape i'm able to astral project three others into someone mind. We use it to dive inside his noggin then find that memeroie of those mental suggestion. "Celeste begun as her best friend fisnihed.
"Then they destory that memeorie which in turn gets rid of all them. Could it work?"nezumi asked
Merlot tapped his chin for a moment thinking about it. If what they said is true it would prove beneficial. With the use of a mind semblance it may takes days, weeks or months to remove them all. But with the limited schedule they have they'll need to use ti.
"In turn it could work by removing that core memroie of that day. In turn it could eliminate all his mental suggestion"merlot replied which broguth a smile to nezumi face. Glynda simply nodded at a quick solution to their problem.
"Thats excellent to hear though is their a risk involved by using this?"glynda questioned making celeste freeze up slightly as seh rubbed her arm because their was a risk.
"Well you see their is a bit of a teensy isny little risk"celeste said moving her finger together nerovusly which made the two stare at her. Nezumi sighed holding her head rubbing it because it was a big risk.
"Your teensy risk is that those who travel inside the person head. They have a chance to die if they run into these things known as nightmares. "Nezumi stated which peeked their interest.
"What exactly are these nightmares your talking about?"glynda questioned but from the tent flaps an old voice spoke up.
"Ah your talking about that type of grimm, an annoyance at best. "Port said entering the tent flaps as they looked at him sit down with them. Merlot was intrigued slightly as he recalled the grimm he spoke of.
"Your talking about a possession type grimm if i recall. They have the ability to put someone in a deep slumber"merlot replied as port nodded reaching into his coat pulling out a grimm book. He always like to keep one at hand sometimes if need be. Then he set it down flipping through the book until finding what he was searching for.
In the book it showed a small flying grimm like creature that seemed to posses multiple thorn like appenadages toward its back. It had a white bony mask that protrudes one red eye. But their was also a seed like form next to it.
"Yes, though i haven't seen any signs like that on the young lad"port replied
"Thats because its similar to a nightmare but more like enemies inside the mind. Along with that know when they did the mental suggestion"cleste asked a sthe doctor had some bad news.
"I do not i assume if you knew when they were you'd have an easier time finding them"merlot asked as she nodded. Nezumi sighed rubbing her head for a moment concluding something because it the best they got right now.
"It'll work lets go grab them and tell them the plan to deal with them"nezumi stated as they all left to do that. Because the quicker they solve this problem the better, they rather have a grimm ally than another grimm enemy.
Seems things are getting interesting in vale right now though not everyone seems to like zane now which worries some of them. Though it seems they might have a way to remove those blasted mental suggestion in his head. Thanks for reading!
