Chapter 12:automaton
In the city of atlas right now everyone was busy right now but not as much as the atlas military base where most miltary commanders meet for deep discussions. Align with having council meeting right now it seems. Which included the general of the atlas military and headmaster of the acdemy that was in the middle fo meeting with the rest of the council members right now. Even jacque schnee himself was here.
That consisted of someone rather intimidating right now. He was around forty five yeas old with ashes grey hair and had dakr green eyes and he was wearing a particular uniform that was similar to what ironwood was wearing expect on his shoulder is a symbol of a higher rank than the one ironwood who is sporting four stars while the man sports five stars on his.
This was marshal mactavish of the atlas military ironwood commanding officer and boss.
Their was also a man judging by his apeprance since he was on a holo call right now. He was in a red business suit with a black dress shirt with silver buttons. He had on a cyan tie to match with his suit. But he seemed in his early forties with some brown hair slicked back with cyan colored eyes behind a pair of reading glasses.
His trait was a pair of dingo ears atop his head.
Another was a women who was in her forties with a pale skin with an hourglass figure with a flexible athletic build it seems. She had jet black hair that reachs her back but one side was combed over her left eye covering it as she had pink eyeshadow. She wears a navy blue sleeveless dress top, navy blue dress pants, and black high heeled botos. Over her dress she is wearing an ankle length fur coat that had tan around the neckline and ends at the sleeves with straps tying it in place.
This was Artemis Cherry the current owner and trainer of a particular branch in the military.
Another was a pale man with black, slicked back graying hair. He had light blue eyes and wore glasses with a suit with a gray blue vest and a dark blue tie.
This was councilman Sleet
Next to him in an another seat was a women with a dark skin complexion, her hair was gray with a curly style. She wore purpel eyeshadow about her eyes and a black shirt with a wine red coat over the top. Camilla wears a golden necklace around her neck and matching earrings. She wears black pants and a black belt with a golden ciruclar buckle.
This was council women camilla.
"I take it all of us in attendance for todays meeting?"artimis replied
"Yes it appear so though it appears councilman wilkins it deciding to call in from his home"jacque with a disgusted look direct exquivlsly toward the dingo fauna who glared at him especially.
"Oh you know exactly why i'm in my home you god dam devil–"the man was cut off as mactavish put a hand up sliencing him.
"I understand your concern with these so called rumors caine. But right now with our current issues we can't let the media find out about such an accusation. Though with current evidence it points the blame of these abuse charges toward his youngest daughter weiss schnee"mactvaish said sternly.
But ironwood gritted his teeth upon hearing that because he knows for a fact that wasn't true. But he couldn't disobey his orders or speak out of turn.
Artemis scoffed heavily as she had a cigarette stick tapping it into a nearby ash tray.
"Hardly believe that being even true. But with the current issue of everyone being paranoid about those thirteen knights of grimm. "Artetimis spoke taking a puff of her cig then blew it placing it inbetween her fingers.
"Our main priority should be trying to figure out how to handle this issue. Maybe even ask other kingdoms for support"she added
Sleet shook his head at that"we need to worry about our own kingdom right now. They can handle those threats on their own."he argued against which didn't sit well with some.
Ironwood sighed because he was the one who suggested the blockade on the dust trade. But he still didn't want to see other kingdoms burn down let alone that witch gain the advantage
"If i may speak?"irownood aksed for permission
"You may speak general"mactviash replied as ironwood stood up placing his hands on the table.
"For starters our kingdoms safety is very important right now. But their are others who need our assistance in my opinion"ironwood started
Camilai though raised an eyebrow"Weren;t you the one who suggested we shut down our kingdoms borders. You and marshal mactavish discussed it saying it will keep us safe"she said before jacque decided to bring something up that happened recently.
The dust company owner then pressed a button on his scroll as it displayed something. That being articles about these knights of grimm surfacing around the four kingdoms now. It showed a lancer like women attacking cargo ship in the anima. And a beowulf and sabyr grimm terrozing the destroyed city of vale. Along with one that made him feel sour that being the kidnapping of his daughter and eria hayley.
"Though your doing a terrible job at that. Because look here my own daughter and dear friend jaki hayley daughter were kidnapped"jacque said making ironwood grip the table threatening to break it.
Artemis even glared at the man for how he even worded it internally laughing to herself taking another puff of her cig blowing it tapping her foot as her heels clacked.
"Its not his fault some pyschos kidnapped those two girls. I have my sparatans looking everywhere around atlas for them."artimis paused before leaning forward putting her cigarette out mashing it down a few times for good measure.
"But we can't do that if we don't send them out can we?"she added
The faunus known as caine wilkins nodded"agreed, look that recent report right their even states two of those things being in vale"caine supported even.
Camilie shook her head"so what about some destroyed city? The huntsman and those merc their can handle it"she said before it displayed a picture of decker shaw on the holo projector. As mactvaish chuckled seeing that face it seems.
"My old war buddy merc group. That may be true that they could handle it but he doens't have the number those things are tough to kill. At least two of them are dead which is a blessing in duigsuie"mactviash said before jacuqe decided to hit a very sour spot.
"Oh really? Your entire military figured out about these…things years ago. But never told the council why?"jacuqe questioned not phasing the man.
Sleet lifted his glasses up"yes you even had a main researcher on the project. One carmine alcus if i recall"he stated
"That would be her, but right now i'm having her create these syringes to stun these creatures"ironwood said retrieving a case from his pocket pressing a button as it hissed opened with ice. Then he pulled out a syringe sliding it across to sleet who picked it up examining it.
"What exactly is this made of?"camilia questioned as jacque interest was peeked a little himself wondering if his new partner might be interested.
"Oh do tell because i could have my company mass produce it"jacque stated
Though caine wasn't having none of jacuqe words" i understand willow owns hospital but they are not under your control. They are apart of her share of the company but we should keep this a secret so they don't find a way to counteract our one advantage against these…thirteen knights of grimm"he replied but paused on saying how many it seems.
"That may be true but why didn't you inform of this years ago exactly?"sleet asked again
Mactvaish and ironwoowd eyed each other for a moment as the higher rank took charge.
"For starters we didn't know much about these creatures at the time. All we could figure out their were some of them but assumed they died in the lab raid we conducted. Though we were trying to gather more evidence trying make sure the kingdoms didn't start a mass panic"mactavish simple answered
Jacque huffed crossing his hands as his left eye ticked rather annoyed at hearing all this.
"That may be true but what do you suggest?"he asked
Ironwood thought for a moment before deciding.
"That we send a small inspection group to vale to deliver a couple cases of these syringes to them. In turn we may have a chance at killing two more of them which puts our kingdom and others out of harms way with half of them dead"ironwood replied
Most of the council were not sure how to respond for a moment but it seemed to agree with some of them.
"That doesn't sound like a bad idea. With two more dead it does minimize risk"artiemis supported.
"I…have to agree as well. We can send a small squad of your soldiers to transport it"camilla agreed.
"Then i see that were all in agreement on the matter. Shall we call today meeting concluded we can have a group organzied in the next two days"mactvaish said as they all nodded in agreement as caine vanished away from their sights as they began to exit the room.
As they did ironwood kept glaring at jacque the entire time who kept a smirk like he was winning right now because he was.
"What is it james? Are you troubled about something?"jacuqe smugly asked as ironwood prothseitc hands squeezed tight as the servos whirred slightly.
"Oh nothing much, just that your very lucky that with the current issue and your position i can't lock you up with the worse criminals in all of atlas"ironwood spat.
Jacque just grinned"but the evidence points to that daughter of mine. Though i must take my leave do tell my wife i'll be gaining cusotdy of my son when you see her"jacuqe said walking off. As ironwood stood their he smacked his fist into a nearby wall as it left a small crater.
Mactavish huffed at that behavior"calm yourself james. I understand your anger i am too but the man has powerful friends still. "He warned as ironwood sighed relaxing slightly as him, artemis and mactavish walked together.
Artemis huffed at that"i understand that general. But your lucky i assigned a sqaud of my soldiers at the caine home. Since williow and him knew each as kids."she replied
"And with me sending winter with her brother and that horse faunus that was his bodyguard to argus. We need to keep this situation under closed ears, i just wish that nicholas was here to take his company back from that man"irownood said as they kept walking clover emerged from a nearby elevator saluting the three.
"Sir if i may ask how did the meeting go?"clover questioned as mactvaish chuckled slightly at the soldier.
"Clover ebi. Born in mantle and train at atlas academy until graduation and joined the aces ops after grdauting with his teammate mariana tortuga. Top marks if i recall impress to say the least"mavtavish replied
"Lets just say i had a bit of luck, though i just hope i can fill her shoes since she retired"clover replied as mactavish huffed at that.
"That may be true but what brings you here? Pretty sure james here gave you the days off"mactviash siad
"I'm here to check up on things, though turns out docs kid ran away from home. I already tasked bree, amins, ederne and cho to find him"clover replied earning an annoyed look from artemis from hearing that.
"I thought i tasked my soldier to check up on miss,schnee and her family later"she replied
Clover nodded"we will but her son also important. If taken like the heiress were they may use him as a bargaining chip"he argued but respectfully as ironwood nodded in agreement
"Very well but as for our meeting, i'll explain more to you tommorrow when your back on base. Dismissed"ironwood ordered as they all went their separate ways leaving each other. As ironwood just hoped his old friend detective knight could lock that devil up, he knows for a fact that willows kid woudln't do that.
Although right now across town right now in the under city also known as mantle. The slums if you'd like to call it of atlas. Though right now just departing from a shuttle was hariett and company. Because they had one goal in mind mainly because she had a hunch where hunter went.
"So where do you think the kid went? Why robyns of all places because…"marrow paused as his tail swayed from side to side nerovusly.
Elm sighed before speaking" That hill doesn't want her anywhere near her business right now. Along with that it seems the pit has had people going missing latly"she replied
They were passing a rundown part of the city as hariett glanced toward the side knwoing where they were. That being in the distnace a big hole in the ground with several tents almost on every corner of it. Hairet sighed staring at it as they kept walking.
"I know what you mean how she been working herself to the bone latly. We should really send help to them"hariett replied
"We could but we gotta have most resources with it. Though my sister in law is pretty pissed about that"miller replied annoyed but worried it seems.
"We understand that though you better not gush over your husband"marrow warned as the man blushed hearing that because he wasn't that bad.
After some time they soon finally arrived at the happy huntresses homeless shelter situated right next to the pit. As the placce was pretty run down but right now as people were trying to stave off the cold right now. Though right now their was someone oraganziing something from the looks of it seems.
That being a navy blue haired women with long butt lenght pontail wrapped in a white banagded like fabric. She wears a dusty brown coat with a small split in the rear, dark brown lapels with a brooch on the right lapel over a gray wasitbat and dark brown top. She also wears dark brown shorts alongside matching forearm length gloves.
She wears gray thigh socks and dark brown thigh hig boots and an orange scarf. The brooch is a silver bird with its wing stretchings into an arc.
The women turned to the group as she had bags under her eyes glaring at them a little.
"What the hell are you four doing down here? Come to here to make an arrest or something?"the women growled as a few others who wore winter clothing brandished some firearms on edge right now.
Hariett put her hands up as did the other three to make them not seem like they mean any harm.
"Look may we aint here to start anything. Just came by for a quick–"marrow was stopped as a shelter worker aimed their rifle exlcusivly toward his forehead.
"Bullcrap, your probably here thinking we took those two heiress which we didn't"a man spat
Elm shook her head at that accusation"look can you get robyn were looking for a missing person right now."she replied cofnusing them slightly as may groaned pulling a chair up sitting down particularly exhausted it seems.
"Really? Because last time wags and those detectives came here two more people went missing. And the blames being pushed onto us from jacque schnee"may growled almost sounding tired.
Hareit knew that was trouble since the owner doesn't seem to like them at all, the general does trys to stay on good terms with them at times.
"Look just grab robyn, its about torts son alright"harriett siad with worry and haste. May went slightly wide eyed a little before chuckling to herself sighing.
"Alright fine, only three of you the other one stay here as insurance"may ordered pointing to two people in particular. That being hariett,elm and miller as the two followed her as the guards kept an eye on marrow in the meantime to his annoyance he was their insurance.
"You guys have fun i'll try not to get my tail riped off as a warning"marrow called out making miller chuckle slightly as they followed may.
As they walked for about five minutes it seemed everyone was trying to get by right now as their were people sent on missions to recover food but the food they brought back wasn't enough to fill them. Along with several people laying on cots as some of them looked very sick as they had thick wet rags for perusambly fevers to treat them.
"Jeez i didn't know how bad it is down here"elm said upset seeing this actually.
May sighed rubbing her tired eyes"you don't know the half of it. Our food supply is at an all time low making it zero. Hard to keep them from killing someone"may replied
"What about your water source?"hariet asked
"Mostly good right now. We got enough water for everyone to bathe and freshen up so nobody will smell"may said before passing by someone it seems.
That being a girl who seemed about seventeen who had a rather pale skin tone, and a slender figure to her. She was maybe about 5'3 as she had shoulder length white hair that reached her shoulders draping over them. Along with having sapphire colored eyes. Her attire seemed to consisted of an icy blue athletic crop top showing off her stomach and a bit of her clevage showing.
But she wore a black t-shirt underneath it with a thick winter coat over it dark blue in color as she sported a black skirt that reached her knees, with icy blue knee socks along with a pair of brown boots with gold laces. Though she had a patch on her right arm with a red cross on it with pouches along with waist colored dark brown.
However unlike some others she was a faunus with a snow white pair of fox ears.
The girl noticed them with a worried look reaching for something on her hip that being a revolver in a holster for protection. But she herself looked exhausted judging by the bags.
"May why are these military guys here?"she asked as her ears twithced slightly.
May rubbed her eyes"don't worry yuri their here to meet with robyn. Though you doing okay over their?"She asked the faunus known as yuri who wobbled a little sitting down before soaking a rag in some water placing it on her patient head as they layed their under a thick blanket
"I'm fine…got alot to do right now no rest for the wicked"yuri replied trying to walk forward but stumbled slightly falling to her knees. But elm acted quickly catching the girl who panted for air slightly seeing how young she was.
Elm placed a hand on her forehead sighing"thats a lie seems your staff member here is running a fever. Probably from all these people she been treating"She suggested
yuri growled trying to break free"i'm fine…seriosuly screw off you pompous jerk. Not like your here to help anyway"She growled bearing her canines. But may sighed before helping yuri to a nearby cot forcing her to lay down.
"Take some shut eye for a bit, also maybe take a break and head back to your room"may said as the sleepy fox tried to argue but passed out immediately in her cot snoring peaceful.
Hariett chuckled as they kept moving forward"She seems like a hard workers. How hill and her daughter doing?"She asked starting some conversation. They reached a door as she opened it to reveal what was inside.
The room was sligthyl spacious but their was a wooden table and map pined to the wall that was entirely of atlas and mantle. Along with routes for where supiles needed to go for the pit along with when supplies should be arriving. But they looked toward a cot that robyn was at noticing someone with her.
That being a girl who was sleeping their was around in her late teens and rather short standing at 5'4. The girl had short and messy swept styled white hair. She is a faunus as she had sheep ears with a small hoop earinning on her left while a small bell earring on her right.
Her outfit cosnited of an olive green sleeveless coat with a dark brown lapel with a brooch that looks like the one robyn has on her left lapal. She also wears a green long sleeve shrit along with dark brown pants. On a nearby table sat a few things that being an orange trimmed breastplate, an orange belt, fingelress gloves and leather armor pads that go with her arms.
But hariett noticed her with a rag on her head with heavy bags under her eyes as robyn herself looked rather sleepless right now. Robyn glanced up at them eyeing them down wondering why their here.
"Why are you here exactly? Here to search for another missing person because latly alot of that been happening"robyn spat making the faunus girl stirr awake slowly openig her eyes from the sudden movement.
"Mom. whats going on? Can i start getting back to work"she asked but robyn immediately gently pushed her down back onto the cot shaking her head.
"No just get some sleep fiona. You did a good job"robyn sweetly said as the faunus then closed her olive colored eyes again passing out snoring slightly as robyn pulled the blanket over her.
"Seems you got that still in you hill. We come in peace"miller said making her eye him sighing
"If your here to bother your husband will he's working i'm having some of the people here hang you upside down at the nearest flagpole"robyn warned as the man seemed to have a reputation of this homeless shelter.
Elm chuckled crossing her arms"We aren't here to start trouble. Look for as why where here.."She was stopped as may finished for her.
"Their looking for hunter you know tort and alcus kid"may finished to elm annoyance but didn't really mind. Robyn raised an eyebrow at that since he arrived not that long ago with his special guest it seems or friend. The women tried to recall where they were but eyed them down.
"Oh that it? Because i was promised that you all would solve this mess with missing people"robyn said walking over to a nearby desk.
The women then picked up a ledger throwing it on the table then flipped it open. Which revealed a few scribbles and pictures of people that varied from different ages and genders. Some of them stuck out to hariett because it even showed a few kids which worried her if watts was at it again.
May scoffed"along with promising us that you'd deal with those grimm knights, seriously i'm happy that two of them are dead"she replied but this made hariett growl at her which surprised them a little.
"Whats with you all of sudden?"robyn asked as hariett paused for a moment crossing her arms avodiing her gaze.
"Nothing…i just knew one of those guys is all. That kid…used to babysit him for his parents back in vale on the patch"hariett replied keeping the lie she made up when they asked questions about the grimm knight that atlas held in captive for eight years.
"Oh right i forgot your from the patch not a native from atlas unlike most of us"may retorted
"Alright we get it but…look were sorry were trying our best. The only lead honestly is some slavers have been taking people from every kingdom. The boss is trying to convince the general to send some of us out to other kingdoms to support them"miller replied which peeked her interest sighing. Then she gestured for them to leave to let her daughter get some sleep.
Then she guided them outside to the main area of the homeless shelter as they were nearing the kitchen. As a line of people were waiting to get some food which was in very low provision.
"If your looking for tort kid hes over by the daycare keeping an eye on someone. Along with a guest"robyn replied giving them their answer.
"Oh really who would that be?"elm questioned. Before she could respond small footsteps could be heard as someone wrapped their small arms around millers legs. Looking down it revealed a little girl about seven years old, with slightly tan skin with june bug green hair that reached her shoulders.
She had a brown skirt on that reached her knees with black legging on. For her shirt is consited of a lime green sweater that was made of wool. Along with that something surprising to the girl that being her traits.
Because she had a pair of green coyote ears clipped slighlty but sticking from behind her skirt was a green coyote tail wagging right now.
"Daddy!"she cheered hugging miller who went starry eyed picking the little faunus up nuzzling her cheek. As the four of them looked rather annoyed as may groaned loudly rubbing her tired eyes.
"Awww theirs my little juney, did you miss me…oh you're so gosh darn adorable"miller cooed extensively to his adoptive daughter it seems. Elm rolled her eyes heavily at this, crossing her arms under her bust.
"If you start gushing over her i'm tossing you through the roof. We get it you find your kid adorable"elm said rather annoyed. Miller stopped for a moment nerouvsly laughing, still holding the coyote faunus known as june very close as she hugged him for dear life.
Robyn chuckled"that also being your kid, though hunter get over here you've been found!"she called out to hunter who was close by watching over some kids. With someone with their hood up as they wore a maroon colored coat with blue jeans and a tan colored shirt underneath it.
Hunter slinked down seeing them cursing silently"oh great let me guess you guys are here to drag me back to my moms. Well too bad i aint going"he said as his friend stood up.
"Same here, seriously its the only time we can spend time together"he added but hariett crossed her arms at this.
"Lets talk somewhere private…lovebirds"hariett said with a toothy grin as hunter blushed. The hooded figured blushed under his hood, without arguing may guided them to the kitchen as the other waited. They went through some double doors revealing several volunteers hard at work to provide everyone food.

"Nothing much diaz just here to talk to tort kid and his friend. Though your husband here go say hi"harriet said as the man known as diaz went wide eyed but looked at may for permission it seems as she sighed.
"You can leave you've already been working to the bone for the past two days. Take tomorrow off if you want"may said as he tossed his apron off dashing to where his husband was. Harreit rolled her eyes as they walked to the storage room that contained a very meger amount of food. Their seemed like their was barely enough for anyone to have a proper meal here.
As may closed the door enough for privacy hunter sat on a crate twittlting his thumbs. The hooded friend of his had crossed arms as they were in silence for a moment. Until he broke it.
"So…uh…how exactly did you know about me and him..umm"he tired to find the words
May rolled her eyes"cousin just drop the hood shes safe, she won't rat you out"may reassured to the figure as he hesaitnyl threw his hood back to reveal henry marigold in the flesh with the common folk.
"Okay now that out of the way, kid your ma told me you got in a fight with your other mom"hariet said sternly like a dotting parent right now
Hunter scoffed"so what? I was just saying the truth is all…her dumb friend got us kidnapped"he spat which made her narrow her gaze. Then she walked forward hsoiting him up slamming him against the wall slightly hard.
"Hey lay off my boyfriend!"henry said but covered his mouth sitting down as both him and hunter blushed heavily. Hariet shook her head because she know about this for the last few months that her friend son is dating an heir to a company.
"I will but your an idiot, seriously i'm honored you told me about you two doofus dating. But seriously your mom just looking out for you and don't you start blaming her for what happened. Carmine did what she could to protect you two with your time their"hariet firmly said but he rolled his eyes.
"Alright so what? They need to mind their own business…rahter not be messed around by tort"hunter spat but she had terrible news.
"Well tort prothesitc went on the fritz, she at pietro getting them tunned up but their very worried about you."hariet stated catching him offguard as he now had a worried look. They stood in silence for a moment as he groaned.
"Fine…i'll head back..home…and apologize. Sorry hen…we gotta cut this short"hunter said
"Its fine it was nice spending some time together. Though…please don't tell my parents..they'll kill me"henry begged
"I won't but lets get going, we gotta head to councilman wilkins place next for a checkup on his family"hariet said as someone cleared their throat in the doorway that being robyn.
"You know, councilman wilkins does have ties to people who could provide us food. Along with getting medicine from his friend willow schnee. Maybe ask him when you get their?"robyn asked but demanded as hariett thought for a moment to try and get on their good side right now. She nodded as they left the place.
Hunter though went with marrow to meet with his parent while hariet, elm, miller and his family headed off to the councilmans place.
Across town right now in the lower parts of mantle right now with widnign streets. Along with not that many people being out since its snowing pretty bad outside right now. It was carmine pushing her wife wheelchair as sitting on her lap was tella. Because they were arriving at one place.
That being a multi floored clinic that was rather small in the city. While on the front door above the clinic sat a glowing plus symbol above it. As a female faunus with a prosthetic arm left but held the door open for them as they walked inside.
"Thanks doc, though you got some more customer now"she said
"Oh well thank you for the heads up dear"a cheerfully voice said as they stepped inside the clinic.
Once inside carmine felt relived being somewhere warm right now as she got a better look at where they are. It was a building with two levels it seems but the entire first floor was very dialapaated and very messy. Their was blue altered wallpapers with a distressed floor board.
Their was a large deks with shelves that had a wide variety of books mainly on subjects such as proshetisc, medical books on nervous systems, along with some books on robotics such as motors and servos. The farthest side of the door has a highly advance patients chair where he implanted prothsetics on the needy people of mantle it seems.
Though in the center of the room sat an elderly man with dark skin and short balding white hair. Atop his head was a green hate with oval shaped glasses. He wore a red vest over a creams hrit with pink bowtie. His dark mustard pants and leather boots mach with his cap and red brown belt.
Below him was a chair is seems with four movable legs, its colored white and green in color, with yellow accents. But he adjusted his glasses slightly smiling at the three.
"We came by for an appointment for my wife though…"carmine said as her daughter hoped down. Then tella picked up a rotten banana peal gagging throwing it into a nearby trash can.
"This place is nasty"tella bluntly said
The old man chuckled slightly"well i've been rather busy dear. Though i could use a helper on cleaning this up. If you do i could give you these?"he said reaching behind him and pulling out of thin air a bag of muffins peeking the girls interest.
"Deal"tella said beginning to zip around cleaning up any pieces of garbage on the ground. Carmine frowned slightly that her daughter was easily swayed to clean up the place for a few muffins. But they smelled rather fresh despite being wrapped in plastic.
"Pietro i rather not have you bribe my little girl with sweets. Though…"carmine stopped walking over embracing the man as he returned it. Also known as pietro poledina atlas finest minds.
"Well i'm sorry dear it'll keep her preoccupied but what do i owe the pleasure for today visit?"peitro asked as his chair moved over toward the operating table. Carmine wheeled marian over as she helped hoisted her up struggling slightly to do it but got her up their luckily with her strength.
Despite missing two of her limps she was still rather built for a women her age.
Carmine panted slightly"for starters my wifes prosthetics needed to get a checkup. They seemed to not be responding to her nerves."she replied
"Oh well we can't have that happen. Now dear get comfortable i'll have a look at what the problem is"pietro said as mariana already got as comfortable as she could in the operating chair.
"I plan on it doc"mariana replied as pietro moved his chair over as he typed away on a control panel for a bit. As he did soon enough tools emerged as mariana rolled up her pant leg revealing it to be about to her knee.
The chair was doing all the work as it began to scan her porhtsetic for a bit seeing the problem. As they waited, Pietro immediately noticed the problem.
"Ah the servos and wires need some rearrangement from the looks of it. They need to be replaced as well which might take about a…couple hours at best."peitro said
Carmine sighed in relief"good because now we just need to wait for the others to find my son"She said but the three failed to notice as tella went to the second floor.
Pietro had a worried look immediately"what happened to your son dear? Don't tell me that vile man arthur or his son did something"he asked with a slight growl in the cheerfully old man throat.
Mariana sat their as the machine took her porhtsetic arm and leg beginning to open and start replacing the necessary parts needed for it to work. Along with rearrangign the wires for it to properly connect for her to move her body parts. While the women just rubbed her eyes with a worried look.
"No it seems our son wanted to hang out with a friend it seems. It was the only day they could though…"she paused before shaking her head at the thought.
"Why did you pause dear?"pietro asked as the women was immediately caught sighing wondering if she was seeing things.
"Well i peeked at his text and it seems…our son got a special someone since they planned a date today"mariana answered to carmine surrpsie hearing that from her wife mouth. She never really thought he be interested in dating someone but if that was the reason. Maybe she should talk to him later but was a little hurt what he said early.
Carmine chuckled slightly"if he did then hes lucky…something i didn't ruin with my career choice"carmine replied with a few tears forming. But mariana reach over placing a hand on her cheek wiping the tear away immediately.
"Dear its not your fault that psycho took you and the kids. Seriously i'm still surprised that colleague of yours is still alive even"mariana said
Pietro had a very annoyed look it seems using his chair to walk over to a nearby fridge close by as he retrieved a bottle of green tea. He unscrewed the cap drinking it closing his eyes for a moment.
"I'm not surprised. Arthur was resourceful but to imagine that he'd kidnap merlot. And use you two to torture inoccent people. "Pietro replied before setting the bottle down before thinking about someone it seems.
Carmine noticed it guessing who"oh are you worried about your daughter? Look..i'm so sorry for what he did to h–"she was stopped
"Come now dear, I don't blame the boy. Arthur controlled him with those pesky mental suggestions though luckily we retrieved her on time. But its rahter dififuly risking her organic parts being hurt. I've replaced most though…"he paused before someone came to mind.
"If your mentor was here it would speed up her repairs in no time. He was an expert in robotics and grimm"he added as carmine sighed at that. Because after a whole decade they still haven't found her mentor at all still, sometime she thinks he just dead and she doesn't even know it.
"Maybe but…i..i just wish james would let me send some of that boy things to his mother"carmine sadly replied
Mariana sighed"look we ran into that chick who was his cousin. But james might not let you, maybe you could send a letter o–"she was stopped as something crashed upstairs to their worry as a small yelp could be heard.
"Tella!"carmine shouted rushing upsitars as the stairs were very wide. Which made it easier for peitro to climb upstairs to reveal what was upsitars. That being a laboratory like area that had a holo desk for pietro to get his work done. Along with tools spread around the place but immediately their was something else.
That being someone on a table was a familiar android sporting a black fabric bow under a pink metal bow that had a golden outlined green power symbol. The ahoge of her look reminaed and seemed a little more porminnet.
She was wearing an olive german styled green dress with a black hem that was striped with emerlad green. The abdominal region was black with four golden buttons with matching buckles on her shoulder straps. She also wore an off white blouse with puffy shoulders, frrilled flared cuffs and vertical black lining down the front centre. Her collar piece did away with the green accents and instead finished with a black ribbion, though her legs with skin their but it was all metal right now
"Salutations miss alcus, are you here for anther check up today?"penny cheerfully asked as tella was on the ground startled a little. Carmine rushed over picking her up holding her close.
"Sort of for my wife, but dear i told you not to wander upstairs when we come by"carmine warned as her daughter hugged her close.
"Sorry…i..i just got curious…please don't hit me"she cired slgitly but the women shook her head at that.
"I'm not like those people back in that terrible place. Run along downstairs now mom number two is waiting for you"carmine said setting her down as she rushed downstairs. Penny sat their humming slightly as pietro walked over.
"Darling how are you doing today?"pietro asked
"Better, though do you wanna hear about the wonderful people i met back in beacon academy?"penny asked eagerly it seems as carmine chuckled slightly at that. Because this girl might view one of those deceased people being a target if he was still here.
Pietro chuckled slightly"i would love too dear later, though…just rest dear for now. Later i'll come back to discuss this more"he said as she nodded laying back down seeming to go into sleep as they quickly retreated back downstairs.
"I take it you didn't tell her yet despite it being four days now that alot of people were gone"carmine sadly replied
"I..have friad not, luckily i disconnected her from news articles to learn of those fates back in beacon. But lets head downstairs it'll be quite a while till your wife procedure is done."peitro said as she nodded returning downstairs. As she wondered if her son was okay wherever he was right now.
In this chapter it seems the atlas council is trying to figure out a way to get rid of more grimm knights. Along with that with williow being put under protection because of jacques current actions. Though it seems that henry marigold cousin may is helping him hide a secret. This intorudced yuri, june, diaz, cain, artimis and mactvish my own ocs. along with itnroducing the other council members along with peitro and fiona whos robyn daughter in this universe. thanks!
