chapter 13:Digging Up Trauma
Inside the medical medical tent all of them were just taking in what they just saw and heard. Because they just got the biggest bombshell dropped infront of them. That being his sembnace was inherited
"So for starters uh you guys all saw that right?"vance asked looking at all of them with shock.
"You mean how that guy semblance is inehirted"cardin said gesturing to zane who just stared ahead taking what he saw in. his own birth parents that died when he was two, and his family smeblance is inherited. As velvet comforted him
"That was something. When that showed up on the orb we were shocked."sandra added as her tail swayed around.
Celeste rubbed her neck for a bit sighing"well we didn't really find that stupid mental suggestion. Although…"she begun before walking over toward his cot offering a hand. He took it as she helped him up patting him on the shoulder.
"I'm fine with giving a kid who never seen his parents some clarity. Though we'll have to do this tomorrow this drains my aura by alot"celeste said panting slightly since she felt exhausted right now.
"Uh though why did we get pushed out of his head?"nebula questioned.
"Simply he experienced some shock which in turn pushed out out. Makes an easy exit"celeste answered
"Alright though we'll have to try tomorrow. How long have we been out?"velvet questioned as glynda pulled a small watch out. She looked at the time reading it to be six pm, they started in the afternoon if she recalls.
"Right nows it six pm. It seems time moves differently while in that little dream world'glynda stated which surprised them they were out that long.
"Guess we took a pretty long nap. Though i got a question for that parasite"vance said pointing to his cousin. Zane looked around as he wanted to make sure the coast was clear. Nearby they closed the tent flaps as he took a deep breath closing his eyes.
After a few second he felt something wrap its tendrils around his brain slightly as he exhaled slowly. Then he opened his eyes to reveal a pair of crimson in its place. Bane walked over taking a seat placing his hands together.
"Let me guess your wondering what i meant by the third statue we saw under mothers?"bane questioned which confused them. But glynda just went wide eyed hearing that because it meant he personally seen that witch.
"What are you talking about?"xander questioned confused because they didn't see that.
"do you all ever wonder where grimm come from?"bane asked but what surprised them was he was trembling
"Not really. I thought their just created or whatever"coco replied propping her feet up.
"She right their kinda like animals they reprodduce or whatever"Cardin added
Bane exhaled slowly holding his head"your wrong because their one person who rules over all us grimm….along with being my mother"bane said with venom. They looked very confused for a grimm to call someone their mother.
"Hold up. You gotta be lying theirs no way someone can control grimm. "Vance argued but soon enough a few people spoke up on the matter.
"Hes…hes not lying. Because for a fact their is someone that controls all the grimm"glynda said shaking slightly even thinking of that women. Merlot just clenched his robotic hand tight threatening to break it while naca had an upset look.
"You gotta be messing with us. It had to be an aritfact their no recorded history of someone doing that"velvet argued
"Your wrong because for starters she the reason beacon was attack. Her servants from team BRAS inflitrated the academy to help destroy it"naca replied shaking right now.
Merlot sighed taking a deep breath to compose himself"i've also personally met that women. She is your worst nightmares come to life. That witch was ecstatic to have grimm warrior serving her."he said
"Along with my host meeting her. A child meeting a ghost white women with eyes devoid of life. She even scares me"bane admitted shaking right now as some were surprised to see a grimm scared. In his head zane shviered as a sickening voice spoke to him.
"Listen to your new mother dear child. I'll take care of you from now on with your new family"a motherly voice siad but it sent shivers done his spine. They all sat in silence for a bit taking in what they heard almost imaging who their talking about.
"This all pretty amazing but i think you all should go enjoy yourselves for a bit. Tomorrow we can continue this"glynda ordered as they all nodded in agreement.
"Yes though i suggest you go talk to oobleck. "Merlot suggested
"Why should i go talk to him extacly?"zane questioned.
Then from the tent flaps someone spoke up"mainly because that man has a vast knowledge of everything related to our world and artifacts. His intellect and knowledge is vast"port spoke up which got some attention.
"Hmm your not wrong guy was pretty smart back at beacon. Maybe he knows this little legacy your ancestor got"cardin replied which made him considered it. With a new goal in mind he headed off to see that history professor with cardin, velvet, vance and naca joining them. Port joined them as well to keep an eye on they all left glynda just sighed taking a seat holding her head. Because that was alot information they all just got.
"So that was a little bit of an info dump. Though i'm guessing this stays between all of us?"nezumi questioned
"Percisly. I rather not have everyone start a panic over this. Their all smart to keep their mouths shut about the topic."glynda replied
Merlot nodded"yes but seeing that his semblance was inherited must have peeked arthurs interest someone how. Right after we placed that grimm in his back his semblnace activated if i recall"he said
"Okay but about those files you got can we see them?"nezumi questioned as the man nodded as he gesutd for them to follow him. They did as they took a short walk to the command tent. Once inside the command tent they were met by picto looking over a map of vale holding his head in annoyance.
"Ah captain picto it seems you've returned. How did it go searching for that missing patrol?"glynda asked
"Terrible i sent some men out to search for them but found nothing. "Picto replied gesturing to the map that had some parts of the city marked off. But he placed a small toy soldier on where his soilder were last seen. The last place they were seen was the downtown part of the city near where the festival was held at.
"Are you sure? We haven't had any more sighting of that beowulf guy. Since he left the city it;ll make clearing the grimm out easier"nezumi pointed out.
Picto only shook his head"i know. But for starters i sent them to see about finding any more soldier or grimm. Though they never report in"he replied
Glynda cupped her chin for a moment nodding"tommorrow i'll gather some of the students to send them to search the area. Along with having them clear some grimm out"glynda said which brought a smile to his face. But he then decided to ask one question.
"Besides that you put that thing back on its collar? If its not being kept under watch my men will execute it"picto reminded as nezumi glared slightly because she seens killers. They don't feel remorse or guilt for their actions but from those kids eyes. He got alot of regrets for even helping start this tragedy.
"Don't worrie got some people keeping an eye on him. Though show us those files doc"nezumi aksed as merlot nodded as he took the files out laying them on the table. The four all looked at the files on the table in awe it seems. Because as glynda picked one labeled tau picking it up. Once she flipped it open she was met by the king tajtu knight with her dual sais ready to pierce someone. Along with an x-ray showing someone getting fangs placed inside their mouth. She say a passage reading it aloud.
"Subject tau. Also known as kiyo Nyoka. A huntress that has been trained in several different fighting styles. Mainly skilled in hand to hand combat mainly marital art, karate, tai jitsu, krab maga. The women was infused with king tajtu dna by inserting venom sacs and fangs in her mouth."glynda read aloud as they listened while they read theirs
"So we got a huntresses. She might have been kidnapped like the kid"nezumi argued but that was the opposite.
"No that women was a volunteer for the experiments. Along with five others"merlot announced with anger in his tone.
Picto blinked for a second"hold on your telling us some of those test subjects of yours volunteered to become monster?"he asked as he nodded. Glynda continued to read it.
"It says here she also able to spit venom to paralyze her foes in an instant. Along with that her skeleton structure is able to collapse in on itself thanks to the dna inserted into her. "Glynda tried to continue reading but the rest of it was blacked out.
Nezumi was looking at one of that sabyr knight she killed as she opened it. It showed the man their with a bruised face giving a cheeky grin. Though she decided to read it aloud.
"Diego taupe. A vale huntsman and graduate of beacon academy. Leader of team DAND and partners of one declan blair"nezumi begun but paused
"Hold up that wolf kid that here, this wouldn't happen to be his dad?"nezumi asked
"That would be his son along with his daughter being on team ZERO. though it still upsetting to see an old friend turn into a monster"glynda sombelrly replied
Merlot closed his eyes exhaling"yes it would be troubling for most to see people they've known turn into those things. If i recall aarne was originally from mistral and a huntress their. While the one known as theta was apart of the branwhen tribe."he spoke which got their attention.
"Wait you took people form that tribe. How many people did you gusy take over the years"nezumi quesiotned with anger slowly boiling.
"Too many but it pained me seeing them all of them lose control. But were lucky one of them is on our side"merlot replied which made picto glance at him because he still doesn't trust the kid. Though they all decided to keep reviewing the files for now to see what they can dig up.
But over in a certain part of the camp was zane and company but he wore the collar again. As regrettable port held the remote incase he tried anything. The old man actually didn't view him as a threat.
"So what do you think the professor will know about his semblance?"velvet questioned.
"Don't know maybe the guy got a book on long dead family or whatever"cardin suggested
Naca shrugged her shoulder"the guy could be but maybe their some books from the headmaster office. Along with some artifacts"she added but wondered if she should tell them something.
Soon enough they got to a small little tent that didn't seem that busy. But inside the tent their was a wide collection of books, maps of the four kingdoms. Along with one large metal safe like door that seemed to house something. Their was also books everywhere but sitting at a table drinking his thermos was oobleck.
"Ah oobleck my friend hard at work as usual it seems."port greeted making him look up as he closed a book shut.
"Peter. What brings you all here to see me today?"oobleck asked
"Okay weird question do you know anything about inherited semblance? Like anything to do with one like mine"zane replied
Oobleck tapped his chin as he went to a bookcase shifting through several books with notes he gathered over the year. But he also pursued some books they procured from ozpin office before grimm swarmed it.
"I don't have any books about that but i can say this. Miss rose and miss schnee both did have inherited semblances"oobleck stated
"Wait ruby semblance is inherited?"cardin asked as velvet though for a moment before it came to her.
"Oh i recall in the virtual simulation training her mother was on it. She had the same semblance as her it seems she inherited it"velvet answered
"Yes though guess you got nothing on anything matching that description"vance asked
"Hmm well most books don't keep most information that are from hundreds of years ago. Perhaps it was lost to the winds…although"oobleck stopped pushing his glasses in thought.
"Let me guess got something?"zane asked
Oobleck nodded as he zoom about talking"yes from what i recall like the tale of the silvereyed warriors. Their was rumors of a long dead family about five to four hundred years ago. Stories say they bore suits of armor that emerged from their skin."he siad before pulling a small notebook out showing them something.
It showed a very old page but standing their with a sword in hand stood someone in knight armor. They buried their blade atop a grimm skull, but that was all.
"Huh thats a start i guess but guess we ran into a dead end"naca said with disappoint zane. But he knew for certain he might actually have family in vacou.
"Thanks for the help professor but we should grab something to eat"zane thanked as they bidded him goodbye heading off to the messhall. Once their they were given some dirty looks though they were all getting their food. But like early today vio gave him spoiled food.
All of them took seat at a table with xander, akasha, nebula, gwen and dew. Once they took their seats they greeted them.
"Oh hey guys wondered when you were going to join us"xander said eating his food.
"Eh well we had to make a detour but we made it. You guys do anything interesting"cardin asked eating his dinner.
akasha shrugged her shoulder"nothing much just relaxed. Their was a small snowstorm here early which was weird"she said as they knew what she meant.
"Well maybe it was just some bad weather. But i thought glynda spoke to that cook early, she still refuses to give him food"port said in annoyance glaring over at the women who didn't even seemed fazed.
Zane sighed pushing his tray forward"eh i expected it. Guess everyone just loves me now"he joked as gwen narrowed her gaze at him. Everysince he gotten here all he does it keep joking around with a smile on his face. It starting to get on her nerves.
"If you want we could just give you some of our food–"velvet started but he stopped her.
"No i'll be fine. Whats one day without food"zane replied as he layed his head down. But from dew point of view she noticed something several colored butterflies around him. All of them ranging from anger, sadness, regret and guilt. But none of them joy even though he smiling, she rather not press.
As they continued to eat akasha glanced at gwen and dew as the two ate which got their attention.
"What are you staring at falcon wings?"gwen question annoyed as the falcon glared at her.
"You seriously don't remember me?"akasha questioned which got them confused what she was implying.
"Wait you know those two?"cardin asked gesturing to the vaocu girls as she nodded. Then the two stared at the falcon for a bit as they tried to recall where they've seen her. Eventually it hit the two like a truck where they've seen her.
"Ohhh right you where with that wukong guy and wolf chick….when we uh messed with her"dew said sheepishly looking at xander who dropped his utensil narrowing his gaze at the two.
Gwen noticed it getting close to nebula for safety, xander growled at the two in anger as he leaned forward slightly.
"I think i know who you two are. Your those two vacovians who harassed my sister when she was their visitng. But aka and that monkey faunus stopped you two"xander siad as his ears straightened out in anger.
"You messed with with my girlfirned like you did by spreading those rumor about me"velvet growled making zane eye her down as she flinch seeing him with a hint of anger in his eyes.
"You did what?"he asked standing up glaring at her but noticed people eyeing him as he sat down as the girl sighed.
"Look i…i..already feel like a jerk about that. And…i'm sorry alright truly from the bottom of my heart."gwen said offering a hand to the rabbit
"You can smack me upide the head if you want"she offered as velvet eyed her before throwing some food at her face as it slide off.
"Your lucky I forgive easily sometimes but this doesn't make us sqaure at all. You have a long ways to go darcy"velvet said surrpsiing some seeing this side of her.
"But what about my sister why did you mess with her?"Xander asked growling
"Hold up we can explain why we uh messed with your sister"gwen tried to make herself look good but they didn't buy it.
Vance huffed crossing his arms"really? Because for starters everyone at vacou seems to hate anyone that not from their kingdom."he reminded from all their comments from their team. Dew sighed rubbing her temple for a moment.
"Look the only reason we got in a scuffle was because we didn't really like outsiders. Also she seemed very sketchy"dew replied as akasha looked away.
"That it? Because i recall her coming back crying after staying in vacu for about six months"xander said which caught all their attention. Zane especially as he realzied something that was when she was scouting for the white fang. Then when that little girl died and she blamed herself for ti.
Gwen messed with her prosthetic for a moment"look we realzied our mistake kinda wanted payback during the vytal festival. But her boytoy and her double teammed us"she said gesturing to him.
Velvet huffed"well they beat you fair and square. At least we made it to the doubles round"she replied in confidence as gwen knew she was getting payback for those rumor she let it happen.
"True though you guys weren't wrong for thinking she was sketchy"akasha said catching them offguard
"What are you talking about?"nebula questioned
"for starters that uh kinda when we did scouting for you know who."she said with an upset look which got their attention.
"so i was right she was sketchy…but since she left it was bad."Dew asked somberly.
"She right though your all lucky their isn't that many people here today"port suggest to the particularly empty dinning hall
"Look we all have our reason for wanting to leave the white fang. For her it was the night at some tricked her to scout several towns that got attakced. Your family took him in right?"akasha asked as xander nodded.
"We did him and adam both came from SDC mines. I..i kinda look up to him but now i really don't"xander said caressing the gold feather necklace in his hands.
"let me guess i ehard this bit from someone. He forced you to commit that robbery which is why your sister talked to you"cardin said pointing to akasha who was caught offguard by this.
"How did you know that?"akasha questioned as the young huntsman took a deep breath. Early while they waited for them to wake up he had a thought cross his mind. He might as well get it off his chest what he did to that blair girl.
"look you you don't gotta do this. My team forgiven you i'm sure for the bullying"zane said but this got xander attention. Because he wondered what this guy did to his older sister and he better have a good reason for it.
"What did you do to my sister?"xander demanded as he gripped the table tight. Cardin just stared into his eyes sighing.
"I blackmailed her…forced her to take his medicine, then posion her teammates."cardin begun as the wolf and falcon were going to determine how to deliver their judgement to him.
"Though after my little punishment for getting caught. I felt terrible for how i've treated faunus all my life. Your sister was just trying to make sure you didn't make the same mistake she did"cardin continued
Xander listened to his words as his ears flopped over slightly as he just listened to him speak.
Cardin took a drink then set it down" But…i only did it because i thought she was white fang. Which she was but i really don't like them they took my dad away from me five years ago. "He added
"Though it doesn't excuse my actions…if it means anything i'm sorry"cardin finished as they sat in silence for a bit. They waited for them to deliver their swift justice to him but akasha just bonked him over the head with her tray hard. Cardin rubbed the spot he hit as she set it down.
"Okay for starters your a jerk for doing that. But seeing how chummy you are with her team. I'll let it slide"Akasha said to his surprise.
Xander nodded"yeah look i'm pretty mad to hear you did that to my sister. But…the maid dress is enough"he joked making the guy blush slihglty. To their amusement they all laughed as they quickly finished up dinner for the night. They all were returning to their dorms but as velvet walked to her she was stopped.
"Hey uh vel you got a minute?"zane called out but port was close behind keeping an eye on him still.
"Oh yeah, do you need something?"velvet asked
""look uh i kinda have a request. Your semblance lets you recall anything you've seen right?"he asked as she nodded.
"Yes, i can mainly recall anything thanks to it. It pairs perfectly with my weapons when memeroizng certain fighting style."velvet answer cheerfully.
"look i was hoping you could draw a pic of my–"he didn't even finish. Immediately she walked away then returned with a pencil and paper. In a few minutes she drew a picture of hel and azaril graves.
"Here you go a drawing of your parents. I kinda guessed you would ask…i'm sure your happy to see what they look like"velvet said holding out the drawing. Zane stared for a moment before hugging her catching her offguard.
"Thank you…i..this means alot. And i'm sorry for your loss"zane said as he undid it as she looked down.
"Its fine yatsu and fox are smiling down on us right now. Along with everyone else i'm happy your back"velvet replied kissing him on the cheek as he forced a small smile. Then he took the drawing tucking it into his jacket then was escort to his cell. Soon he decided to head to bed for the night hoping he won't have nightmares.
Although later in the night everyone was sound asleep in the base. Everyone in bunk number seven were sleeping peacefully with great dream. The guards patrolled the perimeter for any grimm although in the cell zane was not sleeping peacefully as he tossed and turned in his sleep like he was having a nightmare with swet beating down his face.
"No..i..i'm sorry…please..stop"zane muttered in his sleep because he was truly having a nightmare.
Dream
Zane was back in amity arena as he just dealt the finishing blow to penny shatteirng her aura. But instead he just stared down at her cold lifeless dead body as it stared at him. He knew she wasn't a robot but he regretted what might see what happened next. Soon he looked up to see his teammates their. But they all had looks of fear
"Stay back you monster"Rogue said aiming her submachine at him with her figner on the trigger.
He visible backed up"no..i..i didn't..i"but he couldn' form words as his partner fired a hail of bullets at him. Once they connected he felt liquid rushing out his leg.
"Hurry up we need to kill it before it goes on a killing spree"eria ordered as she tiwlred her bat rushing forward. Before he knew it she cracked him over the skull with her bat hard.
It result in his head being wiped back as he could feel dizzy like his entire skull was cracked. He tried to stand up but wobbled from his other teammates strike. Then he looked up to see onxyia staring at him with her sniper out.
"I..wolfie..i'm…i'm sor–"he was stopped as a gunshot rang out as he felt a pain in his chest. He looked to see a bullethole where his heart was as he could feel it slowly beat less and less.
"Stay the hell away from me you monster. You deserve to be put down"onxyia said with malice swinging her glaive launching him back. Once he landed with a thud he looked up regretting who he was seeing. Arthur watts.
Arthur grinned at him"subject omega would you kindly terminate those infront of you. "He ordered as in an instant he was in his monster form. He coudln't even control his bodie as he watched him charged at his teammates he was suppose to protect. Through his own eyes he watched his bodie move on its own.
Immediately eria kept firing several shotugn blast at him but he blocked them with his arm. Once he got close he tail whipped her down, then he grabbed her by the right leg. Then he began to smack her hard into a pillar as she was stop mid cry. He dropped her cold lifeless bodie with her right leg torn off.
"You monster you killer my sister and pyrrha!"rogue cried rushing in with her axe swinging into him. But what happened next just broke him at what he was doing. He took the hit as the girl looked at him with fear as he raised his claw stabbing her killing her. She cried in pain until her bodie went limb as he dropped it.
The last one was his girlfriend who back up in fear"you..you monster…you killed them…your a murderer"onxyia said in fear as she kept shooting at him. The creature roared as it got on all four pouncing ontop of her as he cried for it to stop. But he opened his maw biting down on her snapping them shut. After a few minute he was in control.
But he kneeled at what he saw her dead bodie torn in half as he saw blood on his hands.
"Excellent work omega on dealing with your targets. Good job"arhtur congrualted as several other figures emerged twelve in total telling him he did a goodjob. But he just cried making no sound seeing all his friends that were dead before him. Soon he woke up.
Dream end.
Immediately he sat up panting for air feeling himself over several times. His breathing was fast like his heart was ready to explode. After a bit he calmed down as he just layed back down then looked at the cell door seeing it was still night time.
"Great another nightmare…guess i'm not sleeping tonight again"zane said preparing hismelf for another sleepless night. He thought these would stop but they just keeping coming back, but he doesn't deserves anyone help for what he did.
It was a bright new morning in the base as everyone was awake right now after just having breakfast. However everyone was their except for zane.
"So you guys sleep alright last night?cardin asked stretching until a pop could be heard.
Vance cracked his bad sighing"i slept pretty good last night if you count those beds. Their hard as a rock."he replied
"True but heard from teach were doing patrols today"may said which caused some to groan.
"Great we save the military base, here i thought we get to relax"earl said annoyed as ohleia flicked him with her one good arm. The donkey faunus rubbed the spot she flicked.
"That why we came here donkey boy. Though with me and adel injured were staying behind"ophelia remined
Coco nodded annoyed because this cast was starting to get on her nerves"yeah well though i'm guessing some of you are staying to help with those mental suggestion"coco said knowingly.
"Yep maybe today we can get rid of them"vance said though cardin noticed something that was apparent.
"Although where was grimm boy he wasn't their with us for breakfast this morning"cardin stated which got them them to wonder where was he. But earl semed very annoyed to hear that guys name along with gwen it seems.
"You mean the guy who keeps throwing puns everywhere like nothing."earl said annoyed as his tail flicked.
Gwen huffed"no offense that guys getting on my nerves. Seriously did he always joke around alot?"she asked as the beacon studnet thought for a moment. Because him and yang were beacon punmaking duo.
Velvet giggled slightly"well him and yang were our school pun making duo. Like weiss and eria were the ice queens of our school"she reminded
"Oh don't remind because for starters. I think falk had a thing for the schnee heriness"yumi said which got their attention.
Vance chuckled at hearing that"forgot i heard from sis he fancied her. Good luck bagging the schnee heiress she probably too rich for him to date her"he said
But cardin recalled that night at the vytal dance it was something alright, that girl he posioned. She helped him get a girlfriend pretty much which he appreciates. Because everysince they started dating its the best thing that every happen.
"True but uh seriously where is the guy?"cardin questioned again. They didn't know as some of them decided to go searching for him. While the other went to go gear up at the supply tent. They began to search around the camp for any sigh of him asking some people. But they just spat saying good ridances if he was gone. After searching for twenty minutes they decided to ask one person.
The group headed off toward where glynda was as she was talking with nezumi, port and picto about something.
"So we've cleared most districts of large grimm threats in the area. We should send some group CCT tower and business district"nezumi said
"Yes with a grimm knight defeated it'll make dispatching the large and more diccifult grimm easier. Along with any smaller grimm that will be much easier to take out"glynda spoke up.
"Alright but send a small group to check out the festival grounds. My soldier were last seen their but that other patrol i sent. They didn't come back either"picto said with worry. Then they noticed the gorup approaching them.
"Ah children their you all are. I asusme your all here to discuss going on patrol today?"port questioned
"We are but uh we do have a question for you"xander asked
"Sure ask away kid we don't got much to do anyway"nezumi replied
"Well have you seen my cousin. Because for starters he wasn't their for breakfast today"vance asked with worry
"Along with that couldn't find him in that cell you had him locked in. don't tell us you killed him"may said glaring with her one eye at the captain. But picto just scoffed in disappointment.
"No the kid didn't die wish he did. Then we would have less grimm knight roaming around."picto admitted truthfully making vance glared at him. Because for starters he's not losing another family member. He already had to bury his dad with some help, not again.
Vance quickly brought his knife out pressing it against his throat"Touch a hair on my family head and i'll kill you where you stand"he said as the captain narrowed his gaze. But looked at the other as cardin taped his mace in his hands. While may held her sniper cocking it back loading a new shell into it. With velvet she presented her camera as she digitized a pair of dual schimitars tiwlring them.
Coco just hocked back spitting"guy right also you don't wanna mess with us"she warned as nezumi moved vance away from the captain. Then she sighed rubbing her eyes, because she likes the kid but he can't get into fights here.
"Okay no fighting you all look captain the kid doesn't mean any harm. And for starters where he is he right in here"nezumi said gesutring to the tent they were next to. It was the command tent which confused them for bit.
"Wait why would he be in the command tent all of a sudden?"yumi questioned confused

Picto grunted"oh i do but the dang kid woke up pretty early this morning. Kept calling over for the guards. "He said as glynad decided to continued with her hands behind her back.
"Along with that he seemed to make a request to be let out early. Their was also requesting trifa along with yuma and to assist him in something"glynda spoke up which made them curious what he was doing. Coco stared confused because her uncle was in the military which confused her slightly.
Akasha scratched her chin"huh why would he be asking for those two all of a sudden?"she asked
"Beats me though uh they've been in their since dawn deep in discussion. Took a peak in their early and well…its something"nezumi said with a impressed look. Without arguing they decided to enter the tent to see what the four were doing in their.
Once inside the tent they were met by a very strange sight. That because crowded around the table were the four. But several books and paper layed spread out around the place. Their was also a map of mistral on the table over the one of vale. Along with another of menagerie though they looked to see the four deep in discussion.
"Alright so your saying that you two that these locations could be possible hiding spots for the white fang"faba asked as trifa nodded as she kept circling spots on the map nodding.
"Yes, with our source the main base is located in mistral. But beside that we have faunus cells in the area that assist them. "Trifia replied
Yuma nodded"she right last i recall from before we left the sought assistance from that local gang in the area"he added
"Great they were sighted during the attack on vale. My guess is those terroist seemed to have allied themselves with their gang. Their also that soldier we intergated this morning from the crimson talon. "Faba replied as he took a cup of coffe drinking it. But cardin noticed zane their as he was deep in thought looking over the map. Along with examining the two maps as he nodded.
"Alright then from what we've discuss these are prime spots for the white fang in mistral. Along with their local cells in menagerie my guess is their assaintion attempt is linked to that. I'm guessing blake and onxyia found out about the cells. Then dealt with them which in turned forced ollie to ask them to send conri"zane explained as some where surprised to see this side of him.
The jokesteer paced around as he drank a large cup of coffee"which means he might have allied himself with the crimson talon and knuckledusters. With the grimm knights thats a bigger problem we only got half of them. But with two done and hopefully a third."zane continued taking a sip before setting it down on the table.
"We help the faunus their then head to havan to stop their attack. If were lucky i'm assuming ruby is seeking assistance from her aunt and uncle tribe. "He continued
"How would you know kid?"yuma questioned as he hoped in a chair propping his feet up continuing to drink the coffee.
"Simple shes smart. Also send an envoy to vacou if their. He can send weapons to the faunus along with ships. If they haven't already."zane finished drinking the coffee as the others just stared at what they just saw. Cardin was very surprised to see this side of him because hes never seen it before.
Faba look up noiting them"oh guess you wanted to come say hi to your favorite uncle"he said as coco walked over hugging him with one arm.
"Sort of we kinda came to see what going on in here"coco said
"She right because whats is all this"vance said as they all looked at the table infront of them. It was a map of mistral capital with several circles dotted around the place. With a couple labels that being white fang cells with the group symbol. Along with the location of the knuckleduster in the lower part of mistral the worst place in the kingdom. Though one circle was around the academy saying"save CCT tower".
Their was another map of menagerie that seemed to have a sort of strategy with it. It looked to have three circled section with one being a very large house on the maps mark. That house in question was the belladonna home along with a small circle around a orphanage. Their was also several arrows going in all sorts of directions. But the seven dossier were opened and seemed to be thoroughly read through.
Trifa chuckled"uh for starters the kid here asked us to help mark possible white fang location this morning. "She explained as she stretched her sore back. Because she been sitting in a chair for a while now with a crack being heard.
"Trif right we recalled what we could. But we did plan to meet with ilia when we reached menagerie. "Yuma reminded as something just crossed akasha mind. She wondered if her girlfriend was alright and that spider faunus didn't kill her.
"I forgot about her planning to meet i hope she okay"akasha said with worry in her tone.
"Let me guess girlfriend?"may asked as she nodded quickly.
Nezumi looked at the stuff before her because for starters she was very impressed with all this. It would take a expert strategist to come up with something like this. Because these maps may be beneficial to helping stop havan assault.
"Though gotta say kid this is impressive. Guess your the team leader for a reason, saw your match. Your team came up with some weird strategies"nezumi said complimenting him actually.
Vance chuckled"you aint wrong spidey though uh we didn't see you at breakfast. Have you eaten anything?"he asked
"Uhh i skipped breakfast decided to do this since i woke up early. I'll be fine"zane said turned away but they all noticed something apparent. That being him struggling to walk wobbling with every step which didn't bode well. Xander walked over getting a better look at him.
"Whoa have you even gotten sleep?"xander said getting their attention. He turned to face them revealing him with dark circles under his eyes which is a sign of lack of sleep. Along with that coma hes barely had time to recover it seems.
"You look like you've hardly slept. Are you doing alright right now?"velvet asked concerned
"Seriously she right you look like you've hardly slept. What you aura even at?"cardin asked as close by glynda saw the scroll. The women picked it up opening then looked to see that his aura was at five percent which wasn't good.
" your aura is at five percent. You should take a break you look exhausted and need rest. Along with that remove the collar"glynda ordered
"I aint removing that collar so what if hes tired make hi–"but picto was stoped as nezumi shoved him against the table of the tent hard knocking some things off. Then she brought a combat knife slamming it into the table close to his head.
"Listen here you dam atlesian i know how we operate. But for starters i don't give a dam remove the collar now."nezumi ordered as they stared each other down. Then after a few minute he agreed removing the collar on him as in an instance the lack of sleep got to as he wobbled slightly before passing out from exhaustion. Luckily faba caught him as the kid slept.
"Their kid doesn't have the stupid collar now if you'll meet me by the gate. We'll discuss finding my soldiers."picto said leaving the tent. Though aksaha noticed something in the corner of the tent
"Whoa that guy is messed up"akasha said getting their attention as they looked to the corner. They looked to see a crimson talon captain bounded to a chair but his face was heavily swollen with a bruise on his cheek and eye the size of a baseball. Along with a few of his fingers broken as his mouth was bleeding, along with a broken nose
"Ughh what the heck happen to that guy?"xander questioned.
"Seriously let me guess you three integrated the guy for info the hard way"vance asked but the three just stared at them for a moment.
"Actually we didn't do that to the guy. The kid did"yuma said which surprised the group.
"Hold on your talking about the guy who does jokes. Interrogated someone to give us intel on the havan attack"cardin asked scared because he didn't really believe it.
"But he so nice…he doesn't seem like someone who would do that."velvet said surprised her boyfriend did that to someone
Faba chuckled carrying zane princess style as his bodie was limp"yep surprised us to but kid said he learned it from someone. Though lets get those mental suggestions cleared up and patrol the city"he said as they all nodded in agreement at that.
But this just made vance wondered something if his cousin was doing alright right now. Because he didn't look good at all.
Seems things are getting intersting in vale with the group having to split up to compelte certain task in the city. While zane seems to be having more troubling nightmares it seems but hides it from them. But it seems he had this other side of him none of them have seen before, him being serious?
