Chapter 14:Campfire Tales

Its been an entire week since oscar had left kuroyuri along with leaving his aunts farm behind him for almost three weeks now. She must be worried sick about him now but he knew people would be helping her if he was gone. Which he hoped for the best right now though he was riding the mare that women gave him.

It was making his journey rather ease as he decided to name the horse he procured for this horse on his travels. As the horse clopped its hooves as he kept following down the path toward his designation that ozpin wanted him to find. But he named the horse ferris.

The horse seemed to be going at steady pace as he decided to ask ozpin some questions in his head to avoid any nearby locals or travelres thinking he was crazy and talking to himself.

"So why are we in this part of the anima right now? I thought you wanted to head to argus since its the quickest way to havan"he thought to himself.

"For your answer in this area their is an old ally of mine that can secure us safe passage to havan herself. Along with that if i know an old friend of mine that dusty qrow i mentioned should be in havan by now"ozpin explained

"Alright but who exactly is this friend of yours no offense. I rather not be going into the blind right now"oscar admitted

The headmaster thought for a moment on how to explain hoping he wouldn't freal out on who he would tell his new reincarnation on who they plan to be meeting up with.

"Where looking for any source of the branwhen tribe in the area. Their leaders are very good friends of mine raven and qrow branwhen"ozpin answered to the boys surprise that he would be meeting the legendary branwhen siblings. He heard stories around the town his aunt lived in how their tribe used to be bandits but now turned into protecotrs of the innocent.

He couldn't help but be shocked"wait! Are you sure thats a smart idea?!"he said to himself aloud as luckily no body was listening to him. This caused ozpin to simple chuckle at his reaction.

"It is because for starters i've trusted them long enough. Along with that they have something that is key to what we need to do at havan"ozpin replied which seemed to quell oscar worries.

They kept travelingt through the forest for a while for a good half hour as he felt free with the nice fresh air along with the scenery close by. It made him feel relaxed right now though he could tell when the day was nearing its end. Because he noticed the sky starting to turn orange haze at that moment. Along with that ferris seems to be getting tired as she was starting to slow down at that moment.

"Easy girl i know your tired"oscar said petting the horse head as it shook slightly whining in exhaustion it seems.

"Hmm we should make camp close by is their anywhere close by we could use"ozpin asked as he began to look around for a moment. Until something caught his eye an old path that led to a cave actually that looked actually decent. Using the reigns to stirr his horse over he made his way quickly to the cave.

Once inside it was big enough for him and his horse as he tied its reigns to a nearby rock in the caves a he dismounted his ride. Then he made sure their was enough slack for the horse to move around.

"Easy girl don't worry this is just a temporary spot for tonight"oscar said patting her head as she whined at him. Then he tore open his pack beginning to dig into his provision as he began to eat some beard that he got from a traverling carvana yesterday. Along with that some fruit he picked up on the trail that he was lucky that ozpin gave him the go ahead that their not posininois.

As he began to get his file of food for a bit as it was rather awkward for a while in this silence. So soon enough he decided to ask the person in his head a question.

"So i have a qeustion for you?"oscar asked as ozpin hummed slightly.

"Ask away i may be able to answer most but not all of them only when your ready"ozpin replied

This made him ponder for a moment on his new role in this world as he was curious about the many others before him in this mighty journey against this witch he was told about.

"Could you tell me about one of your other lives if you want. Because it'll help pass the time while we travel to where this camp is?"oscar hesitantly asked expecting him to shoot it down but man just simple chuckled in his head at that question.

"Well i have lived many lives and sometimes my previous reicnarantions do ask that question often. What would you like to hear my time when i was one of my few female lives when i went by the name of oza. "Ozpin suggested before pausing to think.

"Or would you like to hear about the time i was a man who would follow the rules by the name of ozlo. Who went on many adventures with a trickster thief and chamer of vacuo will vicent. Another could be when i was a sailor serving as the second of command under lupa crosby"he suggested his tales

Oscar for one was in awe hearing about the many lifes and people that led him to this new path and goal of his. How he now might play an important role in this world as he thought long and hard who he wanted to hear about for a moment.

"That one with the thief could you tell me how you and that man met maybe?"oscar asked

Ozpin obliged as he began to tell a short and tall tale of one of his many lives on how he met a certain girl trickster ancestor. But along with said ancestor being tied to something terrible in this world.

Many years ago.

It was many years ago in the continent of vacuo at that time as it wasn't the once mighty capital of the kingdom at the time. Instead in a simple village in the market district none the less people where being minding their business. While others still despised faunus at that era not understanding them one bit. Though right now their was a specific man in the city streets.

That being a man with light tan skin along with green eyes as he sported a toned build to him. As he was wearing a pair of brown pants with armor on his knees along with wearing some black shoes. While he was wearing a simple sleeveless tunic dark blue in color. Along with that he sported armor on his biceps and arms as on his back was a crossbow along with a certain cane strapped to his side. This was ozlo one of ozpin many lives as he was walking through the market district.

Because he was following one thing the rules not taking shortcuts on where he was tasked to go as he talked to himself quietly.

"Alright i should take the next right here then i should be their soon enough. If i find that trouble maker who been causing mischief here then turn him over to the authrotires it'll be one less rule breaker"ozlo said to himself eyeing a bounty poster in his hands of one will vinent.

But as he kept walking around for a bit someone bumped into him causing him to stumble slightly.

"Oh sorry about that sir"a male voice said

Which made him look up at a man who seemed to be in his mid twneties with tan skin as he had a two different colroed eyes one blue and one black. As he had white hair cut short as he sported a white goatee. Along with that he had an ahteltic build to him as he wore a simple sleeveless tunic with a hole on the bottom shwoing his stomach slightly. He wore a pair of simple tan pants with a pair of brown shoes.

Strapped to his hip were a pair of curved daggers with a silver blade and swirled grip and hitl colored in black, blue and white.

"Its quite alirght good man just please be mindfull of others"ozlo said as the man chuckled.

"Same here though nice picture guy looks pretty hot….well i gotta run"he said walking away to ozlo amusement. As he began to walk for a bit though as he did he felt around his waist for a moment for something his money along with his food. Then he pulled his pack off seeing their was a hole in it along with seeing his bag of money was gone.

"I…what the…dam thieves who could have.."he stopped mid thought before looking down at the man deeper in the crowd tossing and flipping a coin in his hand while eating an apple. Then ozlo took out the wanted poster going wide eyed seeing who he was after just rob him as he growled tearing it to shreds.

"Will vincent you thief get back here now!"ozlo shouted as the man known as will vincent laughed slightly. Then he dashed down a nearby alleyway as the two began a long chase with each other down the narrowing streets of vacuo right now. The two men began a wild chase through the anrrowing allewyay and will jumped over some people avoiding desotrying their merhcnaidse.

Ozlo squeezed his way through as will dashed through the streets as he jumped over an older women but this caused her to fall onto the ground hard. The thief stopped dead in his tracks before doubling back helping the old women to her feet.

"I'm terrible sorry ma'am here a coin for your troubles"will said placing a coin in her hand as she nodded.

"Oh its quite alright young man"the elder women said as will noticed ozlo catching up then he smirked before ducking down another alleyway. Their chase went on for hours until ozlo got tired enough but saw the man duck into a house as he grinned because he caught him. The man rushed to the house with his weapon at the ready kicking the door in.

"Your mine you thi–"he stopped mid sentence to see something before him that being will kneeling over someone. That being a women who was his age who had tan skin like him with light black hair, her eyes liseran purple. As she wore an oversized dress as it was obvious why she was maybe seven months pregnant.

Their was a little boy next to her seeming about six years old with tattered and ruined clothes. But the house was decently furnished as will was giving the women a drink of water.

"Their you could elise, told you i'd come through my love"will said as the women laugehed slightly.

"Yes but…dear…it seems that those bounty hunters finally caught up with you"elise said gesutring to ozlo as the two men stared each other down. Will got up before presenting his hands to the man.

"Kind sir if your here to take me, please spare my wife and son. The only reason i've stolen from those nobles is too feed my family. Along with that they deserve it for how they treated faunus…their…"will was stopped as ozlo replied with something surprising.

"That their people too…look i'm a smart man. And i also know a kindred soul when i see one"ozlo started holstering his crossbow offering a hand.

"I'm ozlo and lets just say i could help you change your ways. Maybe instead of being a thief work with me to provide for your family"he offered as the man eyed him down shaking his hand with a smirk.

"Sure thing if you don't know i'm the dashing will vincent and…nice cane"will said holding ozlo cane in his hand to his annoyance. As the two soon began their long life bond but it soon might end in something heartbreaking"

Present

As ozpin was finishing his tale oscar sat their in amazement hearing it as it was interesting to hear that at once he met a thief who became fast friends over the years.

"That was…very interesting could you tell me more?"oscar asked

"I can another time but right now get some sleep you'll need your strength. We may need to find somewhere to find where the tribe is located"oscar suggested as he nodded laying his head down to get some sleep early.

Although at the campsite right now what turned into a small little visited turned into more than just helping out at the daycare. Because after handling some minor issue that being feeding the kids as weiss and haru cooked a meal for them with what they had. Along with eria and midny keeping them all occupied playing some games along with making sure none of them got into a fight.

Though they didn't know that throughout the entire day it was becoming night time soon as the nearby sun was starting to set in the horizon right now. But they didn't mind enjoying themselves spending time helping the daycare out. Since weiss noticed as of late haru been slowing down lately from that fever of hers it seems.

Though they all worked quite a sweat that some of them had to remove their jacket as weiss arctic wolf tail was on full display as it swayed around in the winds. As eria was busy dotting on her cousin right now.

"And i'm sure my parents would love to meet you luna"eria said sweetly to her cousin. Luna bleeped slightly hugging her cousin who's icy heart melted away being hugged like that it just reminded her of the good times she had when her and rogue where little.

Weiss giggled slightly"it seems the heir to my throne has lost that cold heart of hers"she teased making eria blush slightly.

"Yeah seriously aunt raven told me how yang had two people at her school who were very cold. You two don't live up to the rep"midny stated earning a laugh from haru who was busy changing a baby tossing the soiled diaper into a nearby bin. Though to weiss her nose was bombarded by the scent as she gagged heavily.

"Oh my god…i wish faunus didn't have an increased sense of smell seriously. Why did i have to scrap my hand on that rock"weiss whined again

"Come on now you actually admitted a few days ago that you actually don't mind your new features. "Eria codly reminded as she was right.

"Your not wrong its just that i'm still rather new to these faunus features of mine"weiss replied as her tail swayed around.

Haru nodded"yes though i'm sure your boyfriend doens't mind your new features. Besides it helps broaden your horizon on your grandfahters views. Your putting yourself in the shoes of faunus now. Seeing why he treated them so differently compared to others"haru wisley said making weiss like the sound of that alot.

"You know your right about that, it does sound nice hearing it phrased like that. It seems we all have our own legacies"weiss said winking to the spring maiden who chuckled.

Haru picked up a tray of dirty dishes they used to feed the kids early but as she was walking toward the exit of the tent she began to feel a little light headed for a moment. Then she stood their wobbling for a moment which the three noticed worried at that moment.

"Hey are you doing alright over here?"eria asked concerned.

Haru wobbled a little more"i'm fine dear…just a little tired from today i…"she stopped before going into a coughing fit for a moment which caused her to drop the tray to the ground. It caused the dishes inside it to shatter into several pieces being launched everywhere startling some tribe members close by along with some of the kids.

Immediately haru fell to her knees coughing into her hand violently as weiss ruhsed over to her aid alongside midny as eria walked over holding luna still.

"Hey are you doing alright?"weiss asked feeling her forehead feeling it to be very warm right now.

"Your burning up your running a pretty bad fever right now. Maybe you should rest you've been working yourself to the bone for the last few days"weiss adi hosiitng her up as the coughing fit settled.

"Maybe i should….i just wanna keep enjoying my work before we head off to havan. I won't be able to see these cute little faces soon"haru replied gesutring to the kid as walking over close by was dravan along with raven. Raven noticed her current state rushing over as she took over for weiss as she picked haru up carrying her in her arms.

"Rae…i'm fine i can wa–"she was stopped

"Your not fine because for starters charlie get over here!"raven called out close by since charlie was close by. The man walked over before examining haru for a moment seeing her sweating right now along with her slightly panting for breath at that moment. Then he nodded before reaching into his waistcoat for a bottle.

"Your running a pretty bad fever dear, lets get you to your tent to rest for the day. Come along now"charile said as him and raven left with haru in tow as the women had a very worried look on haru current condition it seems. It might be something worse than a simple fever.

Though as dravan walked forward the other tribemmebrs in the daycare quickly told the three girls they did enough work for the day. Which gave them free time though they quickly took dan and iris hand as the two kid held mindys hands on opposite sides. As eria still held luna

"Jeez i hope harus okay that girl always has that passion of hers. But she needs to learn to take a break"midny said

"I agree though hello uncle i take it your here to pick up my cousin"eira said presenting luna who reached for her father. Dravan smiled taking her but quickly noticed the bandaid on her cheek.

"What happens to you my little girl?!"dravan asked with worry right now seeing if she was alright. The three teens found it amusing slightly as the man seemed to be freaking out at that moment checking luna over for any more injuries like a worrie wort of a dad.

" relax she just tripped early trying to walk early. Don't worry me and haru fixed her cheek up good she was a tough girl.""weiss sweetly said

"She even earned a sucker for being a tough girl"she added

Dravan smiled sighing in relief nuzzling his daughter"thats my girl. Their nothing that can stop you not even an uras i'm sure. Now i'm upset you didn't share with me because i shared that muffin i got last week with you"he pretended to be heartbroken but luna nomed on his bicep nimbling on him as he smile at that.

"Okay whats with that kid biting people seriously its weird"midny commented

Eria shrugged her shoulder"i don't know though look at the sky its about night time right now it seems"she pointed out as they all went wide eyed seeing the current sky right now.

"Whoa we've must have been their all day it seems"weiss said surrpsised about it.

"Guess you guys were hard at work keeping my kids out of trouble. Because guess whos back"mai said walking over with adam and lazuli. Dan broke free of midny grapes before rushing over to his mother who opened her arm but he ran past her.

Because he went straight for lazuli hugging her legs as the girl felt surprised by this.

"Auntie feathers"dan sweetly said making her smile at that. Lazuli picked him up hugging him for a moment holding him.

"Heyya buddy. Guess you missed me more than your mom"lazuli pointed out to mai who seemed devastated by that. But her daughter iris hugged her mother smiling happy to see her.

"Yeah momma back"iris cheered as mai felt content hugging her eldest for a moment happy for one thing. Her mother got to finally see both her grandkids at that moment as some stared at adam who stared back at them confused.

"Why are you all staring at me?"he asked simply

"Oh nothing still finding it weird that your all nice now after everything you did. Surprised still that your even being nice to me"weiss said because for the last week he treated her and the others with kindness which they found creepy kind of. The faunus sighed as wilt was in the hands of lazuli right now.

"I just want to make amends for all the wrongs i've brought on everyone. Especially with following the advise of weaver"adam said with malice saying his name.

"I don't blame you for hating him. He manipulated my partner which drove her to try and kill him"eria said as they began to walk with each other for a bit. They told them how onxyia tried to kill ollie before along with a certain bed incident.

Lazuli laughed at that"then you mentioned a bed incident that her and my cousin got in. oh if he was here right now i would be teasing the heck out of him"she said with a slight upset look.

Weiss chuckled recalling what she was going to mention early"well yang and blake did get comfy that night as well if i recall"she mentioned peeking adam interest hearing about his ex a little. This was when they got quiet as midny began to piece it together.

"Wait are you saying xiaolong and that guys ex shared a bed together"midny asked laughing holding her stomach as they laughed at that small little tale for a moment.

"So that really happened? It seems that those two shared a very close bond with each other…good for her'adam surprisingly said

Lazuli rolled her eyes"what you aint mad that your ex found a new lover or what?"she asked teasingly making him stare her down annoyed

"I'm not that petty. I already know i messed things up with her dearly all i wish for is next time we meet. That i fix our bonds as friends not lovers, though i hope to make up for what i've done to ghira especially. That man took me in as one of his own…and i spat on it"he stoicly said as they seemed annoyed because he said this before.

"We get it you feel guilty for what you did but i'm going to drop my kids off and tuck em in. bye"mai bidded them farewell taking dan and iris to her tent. Dravan took luna holding her close before deicidng to do something real quick for tonight.

"Hey since your all here tonight i'm thinking of doing a small bonfire with some others tonight. Why don't you all join us i'll prepare a stew for everyone tonight"dravan offered

"That sounds nice we'll tell skyguy and your wife about it, how long until then?"lazuli asked as he thought.

"Not long just be quick before i tuck my little girl into bed"dravan replied as they all decided to disembark from each other. As mainly lazuli, eria who took back luna real quick since she wanted to see her mother. Along with weiss joining them as they made their way through the camp toward the place they stashed falk ship.

Though where falk ship was right now it was currently in an open area inside the camp as several of the tribe members where working hard on repairing the ship right now. Since most of them had experience in fixing thing up as they usually rely on their cars or horse in the nearby stables.

But inside the ship everything was mostly accounted for inside it was the interior of it was doing better as after two days of staying in the camp. They retrieved the ship thanks to someone being able to change to weight of objects with their semblance. They dragged it back to the camp as they began to necessary repairs to make it to argus or as close as havan as they can.

Though messing with some wires right now in the cockpit of the ship was falk who was rearranging some wires in the ship right was falk.

With him was someone else that being a eighteen year old boy with emerald colored hair and pale skin with a set of light black eyes with a decent build to him. As he sported a pair of tan pants with brown combat boots with a knife straped to his thigh. His undershirt consisted of a dark green longsleeve underneath a brown vest with fur trim on the collar of the it. As he sported a cat tail as he was a faunus.

With them was verona was who pressing some buttons on the console before nodding.

"Alright lets see if we can get this bad boy engines to pur"verona said as falk removed himself from a hatch on the ground with oil on his cheeks. Then he wiped his hands down before pressing some buttons as the engines of the ship were starting to come to life.

"Come on baby…come on work please don't quit on me"falk begged as the engine began to spool up to life as he fist bumped the air.

"Yeah baby! Whoa my baby is back in busines–"he was stopped before a loud bang rang out from the side of the ship. Then staring outside the ship window they all three saw the ship engineers with a small fire as he screamed panicking now. Then he screamed sliding down the ladder to the two amusement.

"Man that guy must really love his ship more than his girlfriend."the cat faunus joked

Verona tapped his shoulder"come on jay kid put alot of work into this thing. I can understand why dam things impressive"verona said as the cat faununs known as jay follow her as the two joined him outside. Some tribe member was manipulating some water as they dosed the fire in the engine as they died down as smoke started to emit from the engine to falk sorrow as he hung his head.

"Kid we told you like yesterday it;ll be another couple days till we get this thing repaired."a tribewomen siad

"Yeah seriously we understand you want this thing fixed but listen to your elders"an older tribemen added

Falk groaned"i know but my previous ship was destroyed by those stinking lancers and that bug. I swear i hate that stupid chimera grimm why did it have to use that chick!"he stated in annoyance throiwng a wrench onto the ground.

Verona smiled hearing that"hey at least my best friend is at peace now fianlly though relax kid. You got a decent repair crew here because doing this by yourself would take three years i'm sure"she commented

Jay laughed"She got you their mate. Though i gotta say never worked with a cargo ship like this. Fixed a few before but you built this thing from scratch or something?"he asked

"Nah bought it from a guy i knew. Then modded it over the last year making it on par with atlas fighter jets even"Falk boasted before someone laughed behind him.

"Alright we all get it you military drop out. That you were a decent pliot and your upset you could never try the railway canon on yoru precious baby"lazuli teased walking over with weiss and eria as luna noticed her mother.

"Mama"luna called out as verona turned but went wide eyed as her ears flopped over seeing her daughter with a scrap. She zipped over taking luna holding her close with a worried look across her face.

"What happened to your cheek sweetie? Did dan or iris hurt you with their rough housing?"verona growled in rage.

"No she tripped on her face walking early, but don't worry she fine auntie"eria reassured calming the bat who just held her daughter close at that moment. Once weiss got over falk smiled walking over suddenly peeking her on the cheek making her tail wag in a fluid motion

"Why do you have to do that?"Weiss asked flushed as her tail kept wagging.

"Just wanna show you some affection snowangel, besides its cute when you blush along with your tail wagging"falk teased making her narrow her gaze as she waved her hands in a small motion. Then from behind something growled behind falk as he stared behind him seeing a summoned beowulf appear growling at him

Falk screamed like a girl backing up falling flat on his butt to their amuzement as weiss gave a cocky look at him as he frowned at her.

"Was that revenge?"he asked before she knetl down kissing him on his head.

"Yes now don't tease me again or next time i'll summon that lancer queen"she warned as he nodded as she unsummoned the beowulf as it disappeared into a white hue. As he got back up dusting himself off.

"So since your all here guessing your here to tell us its time for dinner or their a tribe meeting?"Verona asked

"The first actually uncle wanted to have a small bonfire tonight with some others. It should be ready within a half hour"eria mentioned as they all nodded liking the sound of that.

After about a halfhour they all were in the middle of camp right now since dravan and verona tent was pretty close to the center of the camp. As some others in the tribe joined them as dravan was in the process of putting some meat and vegetables in a large pot over a simple campfire.

As almost immediately most of the faunus in their little group was assaulted by several different smells varying from rabbit, turkey, deer and other types of meat but for weiss mostly the deer.

"Okay i'm not going to get used to this am i? My mouth is watering from that auroma just smelling it"Weiss said heavenly.

"Oh yeah seriously i'm famished after working on that ship all day"jay said with a water mouth himself.

Adam himself could admit it smelled pretty good but needed to keep his level head.

"I can admit it does smell pretty good better than the last even. Still amazed how you could make wild game smell this good?"he said surprised

Dravan laughed"i'm a good cook reason why my wife married me, she coudln't cook the greatest"he jabbed at his wife as some of the people in their group laughed at him as verona frowned at that. Then she began to stroke his tail making him almost drop a piece of meat on the ground.

"Well their are others things i'm great at making the muscle bound jackal here squeal in bed"verona said seductivly making him go flush hearing that. Which caused eria to groan heavily.

"Stop it i rather not hear you two making seductive comments right now"eria warned coldly

Midny laughed"then would you like to hear about the dreaded wendigo?"she asked which caught some of their attention right now.

"The wendigo? What the heck is that thing some grimm or something?"falk stupidly asked making the tribe member look at him like he was crazy right now.

"Have you guys never heard of that thing in your classes in beacon at all?"jay asked surprised right now. Weiss sat their for a moment doing her best to recall ports many lecture but it wasn't ringing a bell.

"No its not ringing a bell port never mentioned a grimm called that before"weiss admitted to dravan surprise even.

"Yeah same here i've never heard of it when i was in little sis classes communicating for her. What is it important or something?"lazuli asked as the sound of footsteps could be heard as someone spoke up.

"Oh that grimm is very different in nature because its been around for a very long time"raven said joining them alongside charlie as mai smiled at her husband who sat next to her. As dravan was still preparing the stew for tonight.

"Hey hows haru doing right now?"weiss asked concerned

"She doing alright dear just came down with a terrible fever is all right now. I put her in her tent so she could rest for today"charile answered

"That great to hear bur seriously what is a wendigo"lazuli asked again. Raven then joined them sitting down staring into the fire for a good while until she pictured the beast that has plague the anima for hundreds of years.

"Picutre a monster that is built for running through the woods at blinding speeds like someone with a speed semblance. Capable enough to catch anyone in its clutches along with having a bone like body with thin limbs"she said as the fire flames erupted slightly scaring the ones who haven't seen this beast.

"That would sound terrifying anything else?"falk asked getting scared as he grabbed someone hand holding it tight. That being weiss who smiled slightly nuzzling against him for comfort.

Raven chuckled"i can that thing has the the skull of dear with long pointed antlers to pierce its prey. Its been alive for about three hundred years now and had plague this land for decades. Along with being against our tribe for years as well"She continued

Adam looked surprised hearing that"a grimm that old must be very smart and hard to kill. I take it still wanders these woods till this day?"adam asked as she nodded

"It does, back in the day me and qrow even tangled with that thing. We barely made it out alive the only reason it was so troublesome. Was because it can talk"raven continued shocking them hearing their is a grimm that is able to talk which made eria think about her leader on how he would react to that.

"Hold on…as in talk…i…that has to be impossible."lazuli said in shock but weiss cleared her throat.

"We knew one that could talk remember someone that um also…tried to bite yang head off. Which she let slide just to let you known"weiss quickly said

"Huh cool that you met another talking grimm where is it?"jay asked before some somber looks came to them as he didn't really know. This caused midny to smack her friend upside his head as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Jay drav niece leader was that grimm…the guy dead along with being like meli. Remeber"she reminded firmly as he looked down.

"Sorry my bad slipped my mind"jay aploigzed but they all waved it off at that moment because he didn't need to apologize.

'Though….you come back with any scars?"lazuli asked intrigued as raven set omen down on her side. Then she lifted her shirt up turning around to reveal her back with four long scars across her back that went around her hip even. It looked like something tried to crave her.

"That looks pretty painful"eria said cringing slightly.

"You should see qrow that thing took a bite out of his back leaving a nasty scar their. Though we barely made it out its still in these woods till this day"raven finished as behind weiss and falk someone snuck up behind them as dravan popped up pretending to jump at the two. Weiss screeched jumping into falk arm as he went pale slightly.

All them began to laugh at the two for a bit as dravan chuckled himself. Then weiss gained her composure before flush.

"Must you be so childish!?"weiss asked as her tail striaghren out.

"Come on just a harmful scare though lets eat up and call it a night"dravan said as they all dug into dinner for the night enjoying their meal. As they talked about a few causal conversation for a bit until calling it a night. As they all returned to their tents as adam and falk shared one since they allowed the faunus out of his cage.

Although deeper in the woods right now scouting the place out where some people in tribal gear but they weren't apart of the brnawhen tribe. They were apart of vernal bandits as the three were walking around the place. Though from one of their posture they were female as the other two were male.

Though the female seemed rather anxious about something as her posture right now wasn't the best.

"Yo whats with you girl what you gotta spring a leak or something?"he asked

"Uh that would be true because seriously we've been scouting that dam camp all fricking day. Along with meeting up with our spys"she replied jumping up and down

The second male groaned"look anna if you gotta go, then go in the woods over their. We got about a half hour till we gotta be back at camp. It'll be another three till we get back."he replied

The girl known as hannah smiled at that rushing into the nearby woods to relive herself a decent bit away from the two so they didn't peep on her while she peed. Though as the two stood their the first bandit pulled a pack of cierettes out pulling out a lighter lighting it as the other noticed.

"Are you serious?"he asked as the other bandit took a puff blowing out some smoke.

"What? You want one or something"he asked offering a cieggerette.

"Hell yeah i do, i've been stressed out like crazy right now"he replied taking a cigarette as the other light it for him as he inhaled the nicotine in the cig with a relaxed sigh of relief.

"That feels great i seriously needed one of these right now. Can't believe vern has been working us double time to fight off those traditors"he replied

"Yeah i know right seriously also with our current prisoner being lose and sending some of us to hunt them down makes things hard"the first bandit replied. The two began to have casual conversation for about five minutes, then ten minutes went by, then another five. Which made them start to worry about hannah for a moment. Quickly both pulled out assault rifle on them forging through the woods.

"Yo hannah! You run into any problems out their or something?!"The first bandit called out as it took a bit for a response.

"Yeah sorry i ran into a couple grimm had to kill them…but one of them tore my pants. Mind helping a gal out!"she called out to the two eyeing each other hoping they were lucky because to them that girl was pretty fine.

"Sure be their in a bit!"the second said as he shined a flashlight around for a bit. Then after a bit of searching soon enough they found something as one of them stepped in a puddle as he shined it seeing a puddle of blood on the ground. Slowly he followed it as the two stared in shock seeing the torn in half corpse of hanana as the two knew what they ran into it.

"Fuck its the wendigo we gotta run n–"he was stopped as a large blur tackled to the ground silcning him instantly. The last bandit took up his rifle as it shook vigorly in his hands alot as he was scared as he himself started to piss himself. He began to panic not hearing anything moving for a bit until a snapping of a tree branch could be heard. He turned around firing a hail of bullets at something but it was too late as a large creature tore into the man.

It began to enjoy its meal for a bit until it sniffed around for a bit before sniffing something new that it was chasing down for a few days now. It roared to the skies for its prey it was chasing down in the woods.

Although over at the branwhen camp right now in dravan tent he was sound asleep holding his wife right now close as she layed ontop of him. While luna slept soundly in her little crib like bed as she rolled around in her sleep.

But with eria she had a strained look across her face tossing and turning in her sleep at that moment. Because she was having a nightmare.

Eria found herself back in that frozen forest like she was before during her time in argus which she found utterly confusing. Because she thought she would never return here as she noticed quickly her child self was here like last time. But she had her prosthetic leg this time.

"Hello! Is anyone their can someone please answer me!?"eria called out but no one as she began to walk through the tundra again. But as she did sickening laughter from a madwomen could be heard close by making her freeze up slightly knowing who that belong to as she drew her bat but it was shot out of her hands.

"No…no"eria said several times as it fell off a cliff to the snowy mist below. Then she looked at rosemary with a smoking shotgun out before changing them into her scissiors.

"Their you are my prey….i'm here to finish the job once and for all"rosemary creepisly said as eria picked herself up sprinting through the woods in complete terror right now as rosemary began to give chase. It felt like forever as she kept laughing like a madwomen chasing her down slicing and slashing at her several times.

"This is just a dream this isn't real none of this is real"eria told herself until rounding a nearby tree before going weak to see what layed before her. That being her partner onxyia pinned to a nearby tree with a tree branch pierced through her abdomen. As she had a familiar katana embedded into her heart piercing it clean.

But what broke her more was close by was her twin sister laying dead on the ground with two falcata swors buried into her back as blood stained the pirstine white snow. She began to have tears as a relaziation came to her as she knows who might have done this,

"I serve my new siblings now princess. The pathetic little excuse for my replacement. I died becuase i went looking for you"a dark voice said sounding very familiar.

She turned around and regretted it before being shot in the stomach as she held it as blood stained her hands. She saw that it was zane with a grimm like appearance as he had crimson eyes as she aimed his revolver at her head.

"Time to die princess ice queen. So says i omega…the thirteenth grimm knight"zane said darkly before firing the barrel right between her eyes as she screamed as it pierced her forehead.

Dream end

Eria woke up in a cold swear right now panting holding her chest at that moment as up right now was verona who looked at her rather worried right now. The bat got down to her level with a worried look.

"Dear are you alright because you look like you saw a ghost just now?"verona asked concerned as eria got control of her breathing quickly.

"I'm..i'm fine auntie just a small nightmare is all. Maybe that story telling last night got me jumpy saw a creepy grimm in my dream"Eria replied as the women wanted to press but sighed gently rubbing her head.

"Thats fine sweetie look sorry about that. Rae like her daughter surprisingly is a jokesteer herself but she became pretty serious now. Though come on we got a busy day ahead of us"she said as eria nodded getting ready for the day. But wondered if that nightmare would be true could he be one of them now.

It seems most of team ZERO are suffering from nightmares plaguing them at night. Along with that it seems everyone in the camp can tell lazuli and adam have a thing for each other maybe?
