Chapter 19:Gone Rogue

It was now nighttime in deepwald as everyone was back at the house as mercury was trying on his legs. He strapped his prothsetic legs on as he hoped up giving them a few food taps as metal clanked. Reed left a note saying he increased the metal on using some alloys and minerals they had from the mine. Which make these pair of legs tougher to break and give a harder kick maybe.

"Man it feels great to walk again thought you guys leave me here"mercury stated

"We could have but hey we needed our metal leg companion"rogue replied as he took a spot next to her.

"It nice to see your friend starting to walk again, but how was your time finding that candlestick?"graz knwoingly asked as he had a glass in hand.

"Eh wasn't that grand too many people their, they were dirty looking"qrow replied as graz understood what he meant that he met percy and his rebels.

Graz slightly chuckled"yeah it can be like that at times though now that your friends leg is repaired what will you do now?"he asked knowingly.

"That would be to come up with a plan to get those people troubling your town. Since were at full strength now we'll scout the mine out tommorrow. Along with strategizing with some others how we'll take it back"ruby replied as they had a small bits of information on the table. That being the news articles and a grimm biology book. They were trying to see what grimm maya was.

Rogue kept flipping through the pages annoyed because she couldn't find anything.

"Ughh i don't see them maybe its a new type of grim"rogue suggested

"You could be right some grimm aren't even recorded yet since their are new discoveries"ren replied

Tina kicked her legs on her chair"what type of mask did they wear? Maybe that could clue you in on what they are?"tina sugested but they were already doing that.

"We've already done that sweetie, but we've come up with nothing so far"qrow replied though this made jaune think of something. He walked over grabbing the book handing it to his niece.

"Little brother what are you doing?"poppy questioned her younger brother.

Jaune sat down next to tina"simply you said how she great at rembering things, i'm guessing she read every book in this house. Maybe she knows what were looking for"jaune said as the group did recall that as the knight looked at his niece.

"Okay the ones were looking for are one that resemble a chameleon. Grimm that qufliy under those features."jaune said as ruby walked over helping out since she knows about most grimm. But sometimes forgets about the little detail sometimes.

Tina began to flip through the pages looking at the index. Then she flipped to one page using her figner she found something it seems.

"Here it is…do you think one of them is that?"tina asked as she held the boo to show them. The group looked to see a medium size chameleon grimm with jet black skin and red lines going around it. Along with its tail being red at the end as it also had orange eyes.

"Hey it looks just like that girl from the stores mask"nora pointed out as ruby took the book reading the passage on the grimm known as the stalker.

"This particulary grimm also known as the stalker tend to live the harsh environments of vacou and meangerie. Their said to have the ability to cloak themselves around their surrounding and attack by using their tongue. The tongue secrets a nerve toxin that can parslyse its foe. Be wary of thise grimm and have a faunus handy at times to find them."ruby read aloud

"So were dealing wtih someone who can turn invisbale great"mercury groaned in disppointment

"Don't worrie about it we can proabbly make some goggles to find her. It might take me and ruby a bit but we can do it"rogue replied

"She right but we should watch out for those tongues of theirs. One hit and were easy to catch"qrow warned as ruby had a book on faunus types as she skimmed it finding something.

"And here that yohi guy might be a praying mantis faunus. Their a unique type of faunus that have a retractable jaw, along with some having mantis like blades in their forearms. Like a spider faunus with their fangs and web sacs"ruby expertly explained

"Great we got a guy with blade arms, and someone who can turn invisible"nora said throwing her head back onto the ground as she sat down cross legged.

"It might be a problem but lets rest for the night. Tommorrow we can discuss how to deal with them"ruby advised as they nodded in agreement returing to their rooms for the night. Rogue took the bed as her and ruby retired for the night as she tried to drift to sleep.

Hour seem to past as it was a queit night though outside of the mayor house right now was yohi, maya and asher. Along with the dingo faunus receptionist also known as beth.

"So do you understnad your part of the plan?"maya stated

"Y-yes i'll unlock the door for you to the mayors house so you can take the blonde girl"beth replied nerovusly.

"Good girl if we suceed in taking her, come get your son as soon as you can"maya replied in glee as the faunus smiled at that. But asher avoided her gaze it seems as he sighed heavily.

"Look lets get this over with, just use this to knock her out"asher said as presented a syringe.

The faunus nodded taking it as she walked over toward the house. The three waited for her to grab the girl so they could take her away. But something unexpected happen as from the front door rogue stepped out. Quickly beth hide behind a very conviennt alrge rock.

"What the hell is she doing up so late?"yohi questioned not whispering since they were far enough to not be heard.

"Don't know bit this just made our job easier"maya replied as she nodded to beth who saw this. The faunus took a deep breath before emerging from her hiding spot. But rogue wasn't paying attnetion to her because she woke up from another nightmare.

Right now she needed to clear her head as she sat on the swing to get some fresh air. The cold wind blew as she sighed heavily at her current situation. That being what shes doing right now, becaue after weeks of traveling it sinally hit her.

That she probably hurt her twin sister like no other, they already lost their leader. But now here she is all the way in another part of mistral while shes in argus. Their also the fact she doens't know if onxyia is even alive still. She might have lost two teammates and she doens't even know it.

Rogue swung back and forth as she looked at the nightsky"you know i really do miss you sis, i know your proabbly mad at me right now. But i needed to do this to stop them from preventing something like the fall ever happening again. I'm sure you be all for it since your boyfriend goes to havan"rogue said as she thought she was alone. But close behind her was beth as she qeuitly snuck up on her with the syringe in hand.

The faunus snekaed her way over as rogue continued"i really do hope wolf ears is okay still if she alive. Along with grieivng for the lost of my partner, that psycho said he could be alive."Rogue conintued as she swallowed nerovus as she messed with the cloth on her hand.

"If..if he's even alive i hope hes himself..not being control by those grimm knights again. I hope you can forgive me sis…i'll make it up to you"rogue finished as some tears slipped away.

As she sat their for a bit swinging back and forth though soon enough someone wrapped a hand around her mouth. Rogue went wide eyed as she tried to remove their hand from her mouth. But then felt a prick in her neck as she could feel liquid rush into it. The blonde got free as she quickly turned around seeing her attacker.

The recpionist faunus as her vision became blurry"what the…your that recpionist what are…ughhh why do i feel sleepy"rogue could feel thr urge but needed to fight it.

"I'm sorry…i'm sorry but i need to do this for my son"beth replied

Rogue soften her gaze slightly but jumped at the women to her surprise. They got in a short scuffle as rogue barely could do anything. Though while they scuffled unknown to beth she dropped a handmade bracelet from her pocket unknown to her.

But he drugs dose took affect as her body became limp as she passed out from the syringe. She was now rendered unconcious without a care in the caught her as maya, yohi and asher emerged from the woods.

"Good job, we'll take her back to base come by tommorrow for your brat"yohi said as he motioned for asher to grab her which he did tossing her onto his shoulder. The faunus women smiled with hope in her eyes.

"Really? Thank you i'll uh come by the mine tommorrow will i be safe?"beth asked as maya walked over palcing a hand on her shoulder.

"Of course dear just tell the guards you wanna see . Then she'll show you to your son"maya said as the dingo faunus nodded runing off. As the three did the same carrying rogue off with the others none the wiser. But unknown to them as they ran through town frankie watched them as he radioed percy.

"Percy we got a problem, they kidnapped that blonde chick you met yesterday"frankie raideod as percy paused for a moment to speak.

"Got it, i;ll come by graz place to tell him"percy radioed as he put his radio down. The man stayed hidden hoping he can help save that kid in time.

It was a brand new morning as ruby woke up as the sun touched her face as she got out of bed and stretch her arms hearing a pop as she let out a staified sign. She was currenlty in her sleepwear as she decided to greet her bunkmate.

"Morning rogue..how did you…sleep?"ruby questioned but saw she wasn't here. Maybe she got up early today to see if merucyr wanted some maintence on his leg. Though her weapons and the gaunlent was here too which was silver eyed girl quickly got dressed in her attire as she walked over to the mirror in the room.

Ruby grabbed the contact lengs case as she took the bright red contact out. Then she carefully placed them in the first eye but not before poking it a few times. She repeated the process hiding her silvereyes.

"Hiding your eyes smart move kid"Ember said startling ruby slightly as she almost poked her eye out.

"Ah! Don't scare me like that. Seriously i keep forgetting your here sometimes"ruby replied earning a chuckle from ember as he figure moved around.

"You'll get used to it though…where that blonde relative of mine?"ember asked

"I don't know probably downstairs. You should stay hidden for now rather not freak arc out"ruby advised as ember retreated to her gauntlet. Grabbing her weapon she went to meet the others.

Once downstiars she saw everyone was up as they ate brekafast.

"Hey morning kiddio how'd you sleep?"qrow asked as he drank a cup of coffee.

"I slept fine though wheres rogue?"ruby questioned ot seeing her fellow weapon nerd here at brekafast. They all looked at each other and relzied she wasn't here.

Nora scratched her head"huh i thought she was still in bed with you?"nora asked

"No i woke up and she wasn't in bed, did she get up early or something?"ruby questioned as some of them start to worrie a little.

"Maybe she in the garage working on her weapon, lets go see if she in their"merucyr said as he immeidalty got up rushing to the front door. The other soon followed as they rushed to the garage. He swung the door open and didn't expect to be met by no one in their. Just a simple garage with a workbench and random objects but no rogue.

"She isn't here"ren said worried as merucyr rushed outside calling out to her.

"Sunshine?! Hey come out where are you?!"merucyr shouted several times as the others decided to join him.

"Rogue! Where are you come out!"jaune shouted using his hands to make him sound louder.

"Yeah your missing breakfast! Are you okay!?"ruby shouted as they walked through the yard for a bit. Though as they did something caught poppy attention. She walked over as she picked up a syringe and a bracelet made of beads.

"You all may wanna get over here right now!"poppy called out as they all rushed over to her. They saw the syringe in her hand as ruby took it examing it.

"What the heck is a syringe doing out here?"nora questioned

Ruby examined the syringe before giving out her assumption.

"From the looks of it. Its a sedative, used to put people in a deep slumber for maybe a few hours. "Ruby deduced. That was when it hit them the moment ruby figured out what it ws.

"Wait…do you think those mercnarys came here inject rogue then took her away to their camp. why?"Ren said

"Maybe because your friend pissed off that grimm knight here saying she had someone scent on her?"poppy said as they pieced that together. Selket might kill her by might have been ordered to kidnapp her for payback for what she did to tyrian.

"They probably took her for what she did to tyrian, maybe watts even. Their team does have bad blood with him"jaune said

"Yeah and inside i noticed her weapons were in our room which means they jumped her"ruby replied

Mercury just clenched his fist roaring in rage as he punched a tree close by. The leafs fell down to the ground as he mvoed his hand back revealing three busted and bloody knuckles. He turned to the others.

"Okay we gotta go to that camp now"mercury demanded as he walekd toward town but qrow placed a hand on his shoudler stopping him.

"Kid we can't jut rush in we need a plan. If they do have their at the mine she probably under guard in a deeper part of it i'm guessing. We need to scout it out"qrow replied but poppy mentioned something else.

"That but this was also left here a bracelet"poppy said presneting a braceelt as they looked to see a colorful bracelet that said"to the best mom ever"in white.

"Seems someone might have helped kidnap our friend, what should we do?"ren questioned as they looked toward ruby who dipped her head slightly. She thought for a moment before coming up with something.

"Okay heres the plan we should find out who this bracelet belongs to they could be our culprit. While a few of us head to talk to asher, maybe he knows about where she is. If were lucky he might be by himself"ruby ordered

"Sounds like a plan to me, maybe we ask percy group for help"jaune replied as they decided to split up and search for their blonde friend. They just hoped to find her in time wherever she is right now.

The first thing rogue felt was cold steel as she slept without much a care in the world as she tried to recall what happened last night. During the night she went to get some freash air but then that dingo faunus attacked her using a syringe on her.

She felt very dizzy right now and fuzzy as she slowly woke up rubbing her head. As she opened her eyes the first thing she was met was a strange sight that being she was in someone bedroom. Their was a large bed along with a small dinning table. A large tv was in the room that showed some pictures of gore to her disgust. And several jars lining a shelf which creeped her out.

Though right now she also could tell she was in a cell that had metal bars from the front while the sides were made of glass. She got up grabbing the bars.

"Where the heck am i?"rogue questioned as she still felt a little wozzy right now.

"Ughhh what the heck was in that syringe? It felt like i got sucker punch by yang"she said trying to get the shaking off her dizzness to assess her situtaiton but someone spoke.

"Uhhh who are you?"a female voice asked as rogue turned to her left to the source. The blonde went wide eyed to see a girl with ghost white skin. But what was strange was the reaver like features on her arms, and she also looked like a perfect copy of pollax.

"Uh i'm rogue hayley… are you pollaxs twin sister?"rogue asked as the grimm hybrid went wide eyed at that name as she smiled slightly.

"That…that rights she my twin sister i'm casta"the grimm hbyrid introduced herself as casta twin sister of pollax and duaghter of claypso.

"Its nice to meet you so your a grimm hybrid?"rogue asked as casta looked upset by that as she looked at her monster features. The girl just whimpered a little burying her head into her knees. This made rogue soften her gaze wondering if this what happens to the people who get expeirmented on.

"Yes…i..i'm some abdomination like that man along with those other four here"casta replied as rogue wnet wide eyed at that. That their were about five grimm knights in this entire mine or wherever she is right now probably a lab built into the mine.

"That terrible to hear, don't worrie i'm sure my friends will help rescue us."rogue said knwoingly as she sat close to the glass as casta looked at her confused.

"How do you know that? Their are several armed guards here along with those freaks here. Their no escape"casta said with sorrow in her tone but rogue wasn't giving up. She might have just gotten up but started to assess her situation already. From the looks of it its selket private room. But she could have killed her why did keep her alive? Then door to the room opened.

From the door was selket humming to herself setting down a bottle of wine it seems. Then she removed her mask glancing at her with a twisted grin making her flinch slightly.

"Oh your awake. I thought the dosage killed you before i had my fun. Because your goig to pay for what you did"selket growled as her tail thrashed.

Rogue glared at her"so what i took your stupid husbands stinger. He killed my uncle and your dam daughter took my sister leg away!"rogue retorted as selket growled at her raising her claw to stab her. But some hisses could be heard as she snarled in annoyance.

"Your very lucky i need you alive right now girl"selket replied to her confusion.

"Why do you want me alive? Thought you'd want me dead for taking his stinger"rogue taunted slightly wondering is she was going to torture her slowly or wait for tyrian to come here.

"Ohh i'd like nothing more than to kill you. Feed your corpse to my pet after feasting on your organs"selket replied making her shiver from those words. Then selket typed on the computer with her free hand since her claw wasn't the best for it.

"But i need you alive to lure omega out"she added as the screen displayed something that shocked her right now. Because on the screen it showed zane with cardin and vance close next to him. They stood infront of a frozen block but she looked to see how far it was dated back. It was just two days ago when this was took.

"Once we take him he'll be reprogrmaed. Shame hassan dead along with taupe but four more siblings will replace him. Along with theta since she hasn't reported in for a week. "Selket stated hoping for a look of fear.

Rogue though just had tears starting to escape her eyes as they hit the cell ground. Instead of crying her eyes out she just gave the brightest smile she could. Because her partner and leader was actually alive.

"Hes…he alive…hes actually alive"Rogue cried in joy which made selket growl walking over to her cell.

"He may be but that won't be long. In three days you'll be used to lure him into a trap. Maybe take out his chimera grimm then perform the same surgery we did on him. To you"selekt said leaving the room which confused rogue.

"What are you talking abou–"she begun but the door was slammed shut as the lights went off. The girl sighed in defeat wiping the tears away sighing in relief.

Casta shook in the fetal position"so…uh…you know him?"casta asked gesturing to the screen showing her leader. Rogue looked over smiling at the girl.

"I do…but next time i see him i'm gonna punch him so hard in the jaw. But after that i'm going to cry my eyes out and hug him till i can't do it anymore"rogue replied as she decided to get cozy here for now. She just hoped her friends could save her in time.

Meanwhile in town right now more specifically the mayor office jaune, mercury and poppy rushed over to graz office. Because they needed to talk to him about something important. As they walked inside the recpeionist wans't their to greet them which was strange.

"Huh usually beth is here to greet someone, strange"poppy said as they approached the doors to graz office. But they heard some people taking.

"GK we got a big problem man"a male voice could be heard.

"What could that be i thought you weren't every coming back to town frankie?"graz voice could be heard from the other side as jaune opened the door. They were met to see graz talking to frankie along with percy. But their was also another person their a women in a crimson talon uniform.

"You sons of a bitchs! Where the hell is my girlfined?!"mercury demanded as he grabbed the talon lifting her up slamming her onto the table hard.

"Whoa kid calm the hell down"frankie said trying to pull merucry off him.

"Yeah slow down your making a misunderstanding here"percy added as they tore merucyr off the women who cracked her back. Jaune drew his sword pointing it at her.

"Were not taking any chances what have you done with our friend?"jaune ordered but graz pushed his sword down to their shock hes defending this merc.

"Dear what are you doing one of these thugs are in your office with frankie and percy"poppy said as jaune turned to percy who waved to him smiling.

"Heyya kid nice to see you again"percy greeted with a fist bump as jaune quickly returned it but looked at graz with a confused look.

"Why are you defending this crimson talon soilder?"jaune asked as the crimson talon in questiond ecided to fianlly speak up.

"I..i really don't wanna work for these bastards anymore this gig is too much"she replied as she began to remove her mask. They looked as she undid her helmet and removed her balacava and goggles.

Once done it revealed her to have pale skin with freckles on her cheeks as she had amber colored hair short. A notiacble feature was how she had a large burn scar on the right side of her face as she had light blue eyes. She looked maybe in her mid twenties.

"And why should we beleive you?"mercury questioned as frnakie spoke up.

"For one she's actually an old friend of mine from back in the day. This is eli peppers"frankie itnroduced the apperent turncoat for the crimson talon.

"Why should we even trust her that entire group are just a bunch of murderers and theives. Along with kidnapping several people over the years for that bastard watts. Even little kids"jaune spat ready to bring her sword out but his older ssiter clamed him down with a worried look. Because his eyes looked to be full of bloodlust and rage

"Little brother calm down their has to be a good reason for this. Please explain"poppy said as jaune quickly noticed the bug on the table that was placed in the room. It was smashed up which means the talon know about them spying on them.

Eli nodded"look i never wanted any part of this stuff in the first place. The only reason i joined up was to earn enough money for my little sister prosthetics. A grimm took my baby sis legs and she was devastated. "Eli begun her tale as they listened.

"I found out about this gig from some guy wearing their unfiroms. I asked him the pay for the gig they said i'd be payed five thousnad lien for my first job, then i be payed five hundred lien a day for my services"she conintued

"Wait he has that much money to pay an entire merc group?"merucry questioned as eli nodded

"Yeah i don't know who our boss is all i know is the doctor at camp wisteria. Shes seems to be friend with him. But…i needed to get away from these guys"eli added as she visbale shook as she continued which made the three look worried what this women did.

"What extactly did you do for them?"poppy asked softly as she guided the women to sit down. Eli shook as she gripped her fist tight.

"i..i these jobs aren't normal…they send us out to kidnap people around remannt. I thought we were just doing bodyguard work not taking familys. While i worked for them i just told myself to ignore the stuff we were doing. But..but i can't stand seeing anymore little kids die"eli added covering her face as they looked at shocked and worried what she meant by that.

"What..what do you mean by that?"jaune questioned worried as the women just let tears escape.

"That mine…what their doing in their isn't right i don't have clerance for it. But…i've seen people go in their sometimes and never come out. I can't take it anymore…i helped kill a poor little bear faunus family two years ago. One of those knight and..some serial killer…made me pull the trigger on her mother. If i didn't…they kill my little sister"eli finished her story as they stood their for a bit as she ugly cried a little. Poppy kenlt down consoling her for a bit as this was a shock to jaune and mercury.

Because that sort of matched up with one girl that team ZERO rescued that being piper. She helped kill the girls a bit of time percy spoke.

"Look we've tested her we got someone to tell if someone is lying. She offere us help to attack the crimson talon. We came to tell graz here your friend got taken to their base"percy replied

"You saw them take rogue and didn't do anything to stop them?"mercury growled getting in percy face but frankie blocked his way.

Merucyr glared at the man who placed a hand on his shoulder"calm down kid we coudln't do much when one of those grimm freaks are with her. Were planning anyway to strike back soon and eli here gonna help us"frankie said

Eli nodded standing up slipping her mask back on"hes right i've managed to secure a couple spare uniforms from some guys we lost on patrol. "She said

"By lost you mean how my guys killed those bastard"percy corrected as eli continued her role in the plan.

"Tommorrow were planning on sneaking in when i get some free time. Well explain later in more detail"eli replied as she started to walk out on them.

"I gotta go my sqaud leader will wonder what taking me so long. I've got maybe twenty mikes before they question where i am"eli said as she left the group. Though as they sat their for a bit before poppy asked something from her husband.

"Dear i have a question, have you seen this bracelet before?"poppy asked as she showed them the bracelet to her hsuband as he examined it.

"What of it, just some handmade bracelet"percy asked

"It was left their along with a syringe infront of the house. We expect it might belong to someone in the town maybe"jaune replied as graz examined it for a bit before going wide eyed.

"Why…this is a gift my recpionist son made her. She never is without it"graz said as they stared at him with shock figuring something out

"Wait don't tell me they used her to get into your house to take rogue away"merucyr asked as frankie cupped his chin.

"Probably did and i'm guessing they promised to bring her son back. Kid got taken about a month ago probably forced her to kidnap the kid"frankie said

"That is indeed troubling, okay she asked for the day off today. Heres where she lives you shoudl check it out. Frankie you go with and percy head back to your base. Prepare your men just incase we attack soon"graz ordered as the group left the mayor office with a plan and inside man on the base. But graz just hoped everything will be okay right now.

At the same time across town was qrow, nora, ren and ruby as they walked toward the bar to see if asher was in. they just hoped no soilders were here this time to make talking to him easier. It didn't take them long to walk inside and to see ted hard at work today.

Though they seem to have gotten lucky today as asher was here by himself for once. But he was at the bar trying to get a drink from ted who was refuisng him.

"Come on teddy old boy give me another drink or i won't have to break your leg"asher said groggily with an empty glass. Ted stared at him tapping his fingers on the counter imptianetly.

"Screw you ash i aint serving you, those mercs aint with you today. Get out"ted ordered but asher snorted at that as he spitted onto the ground with snot.

Asher laughed a little loopy as he gave him a middle finger as ted punched him hard across the face sending him to the ground. Asher slowly got up rubbing his jaw as he spat to the side as a bit of blood could be seen.

"I said get out you dam traditor!"ted shouted in rage as the others walked over. As they did asher looked up at qrow going wide eyed s the huntsman returned it with a look of disgust and worrie.

"Hey ash nice to see you how you been? Talk to fen, pyke or arra latly?"qrow asked as asher quickly stood up as he backed up at the four.

"Uhh hey qrow…been what a couple years since we last saw each other. Hows your sister and nieces?"asher asked but the dusty qrow just lifted him up with ease.

"That doens't matter right now what i'm wondering is why your working with dam slaver? You do some shady shit but slavers...you'd never do that"qrow replied as asher visbale flinched at that as he avodied his gaze.

"Hes right why would you associate yourself with slavers?"ren asked

"Yeah their just a bunch of no good crooks"nora backed up as asher chuckled at that.

"None of your business what i do for money kid…let me go or those"hiccup" grimm knights will torch this town. If i don't report back soon…bye..bye"asher said waving as he kept laughing a little.

Ruby narrowed her gaze pointing a finger in his face"you make huntsman and hutnresses everywhere have a bad name. You should be ashamed for yourself even helping them"she stated

But to the red cloaked girl surprise the man had an upset look at that. Before anything else happened his bodie started to glow as he used his semblance dubbed flash. In an instant they were blinded by a white light as they sheiled their eyes. Footsteps could be ehard rushing out of the bar and soon they readjusted their eyes. They looked to see asher gone.

"Arghh he got away"nora said annoyed throwing her hands up.

"Seems so what the hall happened to you man, this isn't you"qrow muttered to himself.

"We should go see if the others had any luck finding that bracelet"ren suggested as they agreed on that walking out. Though while they did ruby noticed something in the street a piece of paper. She walked over picking up as she soften her gaze as the other noitced what she was doing.

"Did you find something kiddio?"qrow asked as he walked over with his hands in his pocket.

"Yes, did you find a clue or something?"nora asked

Ruby sighed showing them the picture as they went wide eyed, it showed asher in the pcitures smiling as he planted a kiss on a faunus girl with cyotes ears. She had dark skin with a pair of dark purple eyes with magenta colored hair styled in a pony tail.

"Wait a minute that's the guy from the bar whos the women?"nora questioned but qrow quickly figured out who she was to the guy.

"That would be…asher girl maggy, their probably holding her hostage to make him cooperate"qrow stated as that might be the reson he betrayed th town to save the one hes loves. They quickly decided to see if the others had any luck with their search.

At the same time far to one side of the town was poppy, jaune, mercury and frankie on their way to the home of beth teh dingo faunus and if they were lucky enough that the dingo faunus would be home so they can ask her a few questions more importantly where rogue was and why she did it.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at beth home as it was the farthest from the town. Unlike some of the others houses it was a small house made of wood with windows on each side of the house. The windows have wooden covers to block out the sun.

"This is here house. Let see if she is home"mercurys aid as poppy aprroached the door and knocked loudly.

"Beth! You home! Its me poppy!"poppy called out but first didn't get a response as she tried again knocking louder.

"Beth! You get out here right now!"poppy called out again but recived the same result.

Though frankie heard something come inside as he peered to the window and noticed a shadow heading out the back of the house.

"We got a runner!"frankie shouted

"Frankie your with me! Sis and merucry you head her off!"jaune ordered as him and frankie went aorund back and gave chase after beth while merucyr and poppy took a different directiontrying to cut her off.

Beth was in full panic as she spritned as fast as she could trying to get away from the people that were chsing her. She knew she be in big trouble if she got cuaght by them. She took a sharp right into a forest as she kept runnign away from them. Though merucyr and poppy cut her off as the dingo faunus looed toward an alleyway.

She back peddled as she headed to the alleyway and contineud to run as jaune and frankie were in hot pursuit.

She was not out in the open in the town running past some peopleand shoved them to the side to try and get away from jaune and frankie but they were sitll on her tail. Mercury and poppy relzied she was going to ehad toward the exit of twon to the mines.

"If she heads to those mines she'll call for help we need to catch her"mercury said

Poppy looked around quickly before seeing the rooftoops above. She smiled before she took a running started then jumped up swinging of a pole a few times. Then she was launched into the air as she hosited herself onto the roof tops as she parkour her away across them. This surprised mercuty that the house wife did that.

"Whoa guesses knight boy sister got some trick up her sleeve"merucyr said impressed

Beth kept running for a bit until a shadow loomed over her as poppy crached into her tackling her to the ground as poppy was able to get beht on her stomach as she was struggling to break free of the eldest arc sibling grip.

"Let me go!"beth cried out as poppy held her down with the other coming right behind her.

Some citizens were wondering what was causing the commotion as they started to talk.

"Go about your day everyone. This is huntresses business"poppy qucikyl said as she showed soemthing surprisng a huntresses licenses. The people qucikly dipseared as mercury was shocked by this.

"Wait your sister is a huntress?"mercury asked shocked right now.

"Uh yeah what you thought i was the only one doing it?"jaune asked as he did have a good point.

Beth still struggled under poppy grip but she pulled her up as they got the faunus to her feet."alright were going to have a little chat. Lets go."poppy rodered as they walked to the only place they wouldn't be bothered/

After arrving at poppy house she and others sat her down in the living room. The receptionist jsut sat their tensing up scared right now as they stood their.

"Alright beth. Start talking. Why did you take rogue hayley?"frankie questioned

"I..i don't know what your talking about"beth said qucikly trying to avoid the question.

"We found this bracelet last night along with a syringe. Your the only one here in town who has keys to the house"mecury started

"Why would you do this dear?"poppy asked

Beth looked ready to panic as she was fiddling with her finger but couldn't take the preassure as tears started to form in her eyes.

"I..was just doing this…to make sure my baby boy was safe"she fianlly said which didn't catch them by surprise.

"But how do you know if you could trust them?"jaune asked

"What choice did i have..they took my little boy and i'm worried sick about him. He just nine years old he's all i have left after my husband pased away. If i did what they wanted they give him back to me"beth started

"That might be true but how do you know if hes alive"frankie asked

"I...i..they showed me a picture of him from a week ago. You have to believe i never wanted this i just wanted my baby back"beth said as she slowly lost her composure burying her hands into her face sobbing. This just made jaune think about one of his friends' mothers who went through the same thing. Nadia lost her son before but got him back she just wants him back.

"Look we.."he didn't utter another word as mercury scroll rung as it revealed ruby as he answereed it.

"Whats up red?"he asked as he gently nodded for a bit before repsonding.

"Okay got it i'll tell the toehrs"mercury said as he hung up looking at the other who wodner what ruby wanted.

"What did ruby say?"jaune asked

"That we may need to do some scouting on the place before we attack them. Along with that using her to help us"merucyr said poiting to beth as they wondered what he meant by that. But soon would ge their answers.

It seems rogue has been kidnapped by selket who'd like nothing more than to gut her right now, but she heard her partner and leader was alive! Though the others seem to have figured out what they have keeping asher on their leash. Maggy is my own OCThanks for reading!
