Chapter 20:backstab
It was a new morning for some in the anima but right now in a certain tent right now that was medium in size. As the inside of it had a few separate rooms closed off by some dividers in the tent was a certain bull faunus. Along with a certain pilot who were staying with a certain family that agreed to take them in relucterial that being jay and his family.
The cat faunus were gracious enough to take the two in as they hesitated on adam mainly. But raven convinced them since he did do them a gracious deed of putting one of their own out of their misery which right now they were enjoying their breakfast for the day to start it off.
That being some wild game mainly being fish for this faunus family which they seemed to enjoy at every moment. As both lucy and alsyha were enjoying their breakfast alongside their brother jay as his tail swayed in delight.
"Thanks for making breakfast this morning ma"jay thanked a women
That being a women in her mid thirties with a slender build to her as she had a fair skin with a set of pink eyes. As her hair was colored reddish rose with a pair of reddish rose cat ears on her head. Along with that her attire consisted of a black skirt that reached the ground as she sported a pair of sandals with it. As she wore a tan blouse to match presenting a bit of clevage.
"Yeah hes right thanks miss, jacksons"falk thanked eating his breakfast
The women laughed slightly"why thank you dear but you don't need to be too modest call me amara. Remember"the women itnroduced herself as amara.
Adam ate his fish nodding"sorry ma'am but i will still refrain to call you by your last name. As a sigh of respect for letting me into your home."he said before pausing.
"Despite my current reputation right now"he added somberly as amara took a seat at the table with them eating her breakfast.
"Oh your fine dear, i was a bit hesitate at first taking you in though. You seem to get along quite well with my little girls"amara said asfor some reason those two cat faunus stuck around adam sometimes like glue.
It made him recall the days when he stayed with blake and jazmine back in menagerie when he was younger. How he was viewed as a guest for their family but ghira took him in like the son he never had. Though he probably tarnished that reputation with him
Jay nodded as his tail swayed"yeah seriously my baby sister keep sticking by you at all times for some reason. You attract cats or something?"he teasingly asked making adam scowl slightly.
Falk snickered"well he did used to date a certain chieftain daughter remeber"he added to more of his annoyance.
"Must you two be so childish? Because for starters i have explained over and over again that i do not love blake anymore. I only care for her as a friend now"adam firmly reminded though falk eyed him down for a moment.
Because as of late he noticed himself like mai that him and lazuli have been getting rather close lately. Which made him start teasing the heck out of him whenever he gets the chance when he says that.
"Oh like you fancy feathers since you two have been spending alot of time together for the past week"falk casually said making adam choke on his food placing his hand over his mouth.
Jay pounded the table laughing pointing at him for a moment"oh man he got you their even i noticed it despite only hanging with you two for a week"he said laughing as amara herself laughed slightly.
Lucy and alasyha were finishing their plates of food as alysha stared at adam for a moment as her ears and tail tiwtched or swayed in unison.
"Do you like the nice lady with white hair?"Alsyah innocently asked as he hid his blush with his hand.
"I do not dear. More like i made a promise to make amends she was the first person i thought of. Since i did help take away her father in a way from her"Adam somebrly said because he feels obligated to treat that girl with respect. Even though both of them seem to have come from similar types of backgrounds through their lives which he finds interesting.
Amara picked up the dishes placing them in a bin to clean for later use in the nearby streams of the mountains. Since they use those to clean their silverware or dishes by taking river water then boil it to clear of any infections.
"Well i'm sure everything is alright though have you two heard about what might be happening soon?"amara asked peeking their interest as they placed their dishes away themselves.
"No not really why whats happening?"falk questioned
Amara though to recall it"aperently a band of our warriors from the south are coming in today. Along with some of the council coming in i sure hope my husband abraham is with them"she said with worry as jay patted his mother back.
"Mom i'm sure dad alright okay. He might have been gone for a while but come on hes got something to come back to"jay said gesutring to his two little sister then pointed at her.
"My cute little sisters and my amazing mom who held down the fort here"he added which brought a smile to the women face.
"I know sweetie but look i'm just worried is all alright. Though you three should get going soon enough. Maybe catch up with the others to see who arriving today"amara suggested as the three nodded taking their leave from the tent to invesigagted the new arrivals to the camp today.
Though right now in the camp walking around was eria with her aunt verona as luna was with them as the women held her daughter. But eria was noticing something rather different with the camp today that being the several new faces.
The place was overcrowded now with humans and faunus alike all wearing similar attire to the brnawhen tribe. But all of them sported different weapons along with all of them coming through the now fixed gate of the camp. As some of them were greeting old and familiar faces to them. Because most of them seemed like family they haven;t seen in so long.
"So auntie whats with all these people here today?"eria questioned
"Oh its pretty simple their from the south and north parts of the anima. We've tasked warriors all over the place and small enclaves in key parts of the island. Their more like traveling bands of patrols that oversee certain parts of the valleys"she begun her explanation as they kept passing by some people who waved and greeted the bat faunus who returned it.
This was interesting to eria to hear how they have such complex measures in place to ensure that everyone safety is taken into account. She glad they aren't bandits anymore.
"Alright that makes sense by why are all of them here now?"eria asked
Verona thought for a moment"my guess rae sent word to all the nearby troops to bolster our forces. Along with having a council meeting to weed out any traditors in our midest. With vernal influence it might have even taken a few of the council. Which i'm apart of"she continued
"How many of them are their in total?"eria asked another question.
"About six of us usually mainly its me, ryuu, lee, mai, lilu and well lastly it was vernal. But she out of the council now"verona explained to her interest as they kept walking through the crowd of people.
Until eventually they saw dravan talking with someone right now. Alongside him was lazuli already along with weiss by their side. But they were talking to one man in paritucalry.
That being a man who was in his mid fifties it sems with pale skin like he had no blood at all. Along with blood red eyes as he had black hair with hints of silver in it slicked back. But he was quite built for his age as he had a goatee on his chin.
His attire consisted conisted of pair of black pants with a pair of greeves colored silver on his legs. Along with sporting a pair of brown knee high boots with black laces. Along with that he sported a dark blue long sleeve tunic shirt with a trench coat over it colored dark grey. With the bat having a bat spreading its wing ready to strike.
But the back of his coat had slot open for his faunus trait a pair of bit bat wings colored black like the midnight sky. As he was talking to dravan.
"Its good to see that my daughter husband is still being an idiot like usual"he coldy said to dravan.
"Come on i'm not that much of an idiot. You admited that one time we went hunting and had a few drinks you like me"Dravan said tapping the man on the shoulder as he huffed slightly.
"I may have but still surrpised to see you again after a year. Where is my daughter?"he qeustioned rather irrated.
"Over here dad, its great to see you again"Verona said hugging the man who returned it as his wings flapped for a moment. Then luna stared at the man reaching for him.
"Grandpa"luna cutely said making the man smile picking the bat faunus up holding her for a moment.
"And here is my granddaughter you've gotten quite big over the years my dear"he simply said as luna smiled showing her fangs to him gesutirng for a hug which he relented. Then eria stepped forward as weiss and lazuli noitced her.
"Oh sup princess ice queen your fianlly out of bed guess your wondering why everyone is here"lazuli said
"My aunt explained on the way over here"eria replied peeking the man interest before handing luna back to his duaghter. Then he walked over studying her for a moment which made the girl feel rather akward being oggled at by him right now. The bat faunus stuided her for a moment cupping his chin.
"Alright why is he staring her down because i have to admit its rather strange for you to do that "weiss said
"Vlad probably just checking to see if hes some distance relative of his. More like she my niece"dravan stated intorudicng the man as vlad edwards as the man nodded for a moment.
"So your my son in law family, you two don't look similar in nature at all. Though from what i heard his brother was adoptive are you his daughter?"vlad asked as she nodded
"Yes eria hayley, one of two heiress to the hayley hardware throne. Pleasure to meet you sir"eria greeted with a bow to the man as he smiled at that.
"Well it seems someone in that family has some manners unlike him"vlad said jabbing at dravan who rolled his eyes at that.
"Alright i get it though speeking of which i assume the others are here with you today lee and ryuu along with lilu?"dravan asked as vlad nodded at that.
"Yes though…"he stopped before eyeing someone down as he drew a longsword at the ready. Which confused them as they noticed adam, falk and jay walking over imemdialty vlad rushed forward before pointing his blade direclty at adam neck ready to strike. He was so fast he couldn't even react to it.
"What in the name of remannt is this filtih doing here. You spit on the very name of all faunus everywhere with your tactics. Along with that other faunus in your group ollie weaver"vlad spat as adam glared being associated with him.
They didn't take into account on that most of the new arrivals don't know of adam change of heart on wanting to stop havan from being destoryed. Though luckily close by someone called the man out on his behavior that being the tribe leader.
"Vlad! Put that weapon away this instant as your chief i order you to put that away for our guest"raven demanded as mai was on her side. Alongside haru who seemed to be doing better right now with a bit more pep in her step. Though vlad kept his blade at his throat.
"Raven dear you may be our leader but right now this boy is a wanted killer and has been sought after atlas right now. Are you telling me to allow a criminal to roam free"vlad said rather iirted.
Verona sighed"Dad just put the sword down please becuase…look he did our tribe a very big favor"she begged to his shock
"And what would that be?"he questioned as he got something unepxected.
Mai hugged herself looking down"he put my mom out of her misery"she suddenly said making the mans eyes shot out of his skull. Then he slowly lowered his blade with an utterly confused look across his face right now.
"Dear what are you talking about…melissa died eight years ago"vlad said confussed as raven eeyd omen by her side closing her eyes on how to explain what happened.
'No as of last week we put a stop to one of the knights of grimm. But that knight of grimm was someone very close melissa. Someone kidnapped her and twisted her into some monster…but that boy over their put her to rest. That why hes allowed here"raven explained to her old friend.
The bat faunus stuided their gazes before sheathing his sword then without a word hugged his daughter in a comforting embrace as she leaned into it.
"I'm sorry to hear that dear, i take it you'll explain more later but i know how close you two were as children"vlad somebrly said as verona fought the urge to cry right now whipping the tears away. Then weiss noticed haru with a bit more of a flesh colored face right now.
"Your doing better haru i take it getting some rest yesterday did you some good"weiss asked
Haru nodded"it did i was just overowkring myself for the past three days. But charile gave me something for it and i never felt better"she replied with a smile but raven eyed her because she had other reason for that.
"I'll say seriously you looked like you were walking around with the plague yesterday"lazuli bluntly said
"Yes though…umm has ryuu showed up yet?"haru asked impaitnelty to their confusion on who that scratched the side of his head confused why she wanted to see that man for some reason.

"Ryuu"she said as they looked at the person holding her.
That being a man in his late thirties that seemed rrather tall along with that he had dark skin with ghost white hair that was rohin style. As he had a athletic build to him along with being a little skinny.
Though his attire consisted of a pair of light grey pants with matching brown shoes with his outfit. As he sported a maroon colored t-shirt with armor on both his arms colored maroon as well to match. But he also sported a pair of gloves on his hands colored black as he wore a blue denim vest pouchs on his hips with a belt colored white looped around it.
On his back was a pair of chains with sickles at the end of them.
"That would be my little maiden"ryuu said lovingly as haru smiled seeing him. As weiss was surprised to see her dating someone so old but guessed their customs are pretty different compared to atlas here.
Raven sighed"ryuu keep your hands off her before you two get handsy with each other"she stated as the two separated leaving a blushing haru their who coughed slightly into her hand. As they were in a rather awkward silence before rave decided to break it.
"Alright since your all here we will be having a short meeting in the main tent within the hour. Their we will discuss the current problem where having right now be ready. And make sure to have your warriors well informed on what were going to talk about"raven stated as she separated with vlad joining her as the others were separating though mai quickly stopped some of them,
"Hold up have any of you showered or taken a dip in the lake yet?"she suddenly asked
"No not yet why?falk questioned before a smirk came to her face.
"Well a few days ago i found something very close to the camp that you'll all love to see. Come on"mai said as joining her was weiss, haru, lazuli, eria and verona. Along with falk, adam and jay.
They all followed her for a good twenty minutes which confused them for a bit until eventually she led them through some brush to reveal something. That being two separate lakes with steam rising off it along with one big rock in the middle separating the two lakes. Along with several rocks dotting the place with a small waterfall on one side.
Weiss was surprised by this"whoa what in the name of remnant is this?"she asked surprised
"I found this a few days ago while taking a walk with my husband. I'm surprised we haven't found this yets its a manmade hotsrping"mai said as they knew what she was implying.
"So your suggesting we take a quick soak here to relax before we get into a big meeting?"falk asked as she nodded
"Though heres the rule the left side are for you boys and if i catch any of you peeping"she started before pointing her spear directly at the three emphaizing it which they understood already.
After that they all went to their separate side undressing bare as they decide to enjoy themselves in the manmade hot spring. They could feel all their stress wash away from them. It was like heaven right now to them.
Weiss too a smalls sniff of the air before letting herlong white icy blue hair in the water with a content look. Though she had a slender build to her with a rather decent bust to her. But her new wolf tail was currently submerged right now. Along with her scars on display right now.

Though soon enough verona got a teasing look toward someone right now that being the heiress right now as she swam behind her grabbing her.
"Ahhh wh-whos doing t-that?!"weiss cried out her face flush red with her tail wagging through the water underneath.
"Ahh c'mon whats some playful teasing right now because it'll be fun"verona teased with a small grope.
Weiss pale face became bright red as her tail wagged underwater quickly as she hoped falk and the other boy didn't hear them.
"Please s-stop doing that the boy could hear us"weiss asked with the women not stopping before placing her chin on her shoulder
"Nah let em i'm sure pilot boy is having a whirl hearing this right now maybe even hear your singing voice if i squeeze hard enough"verona added with a grin.
Eria laughed slightly at her fellow ice queen current situation right now because it was rather funny.
"Maybe she will sing for him a song for him. Maybe they already do that everyday on that little date they had a few days ago"eria said with a grin herself.
"Man this is just comedy thank god i'm not the one being teased."mai said happy right now as she regretted uttering those words hoping they don't tease her next.
Though it just made eria chuckle at that further because it reminded her of the good times she had at beacon. But she wondered when her twin sister and the others will be arriving its been an entire week still and they haven;t arrived.
Maybe their taking shortcuts to avoid any bandits in the area but it started to worry her what if those bandits took them already and might be holding them for ransom.
Though soon enough verona let weiss go as she covered herself up as her tail kept wagging in the water very flushed right now. But as they sat their for a bit haru noticed something strange with lazuli right now. That being how she kept sticking very close to shallow side of the hot spring.
"Why do you keep hanging out near the shallow side of the hotsrping?"haru questioned
Lazuli bluhsed slightly whistling for a moment"i don't know what you mean the water is the best right here where i am"she replied lying it seems.
Mai raised an eyebrow"oh really because the deeper you go the better the water is. Theirs a little small hole over here pushing steam into the from the geothermal underground"mai said then she swam over grabbing her by the arm dragging her through the water for a moment.
"Yeah seriously its so much better where i am because i feel like my body turning into jelly right now"Verona admitted
But as mai dragged lazuli through the water she started to freak out before tearing her arm away from mai in anger.
"I said i don't wanna go deeper so get it through your thick skull!"lazuli shouted in anger surprising them as mai put her hands up.
"Hey just relax. If you don't want to go near the deeper side you just gotta say it girly"mai said confused right now. As they wondered why she was so afraid of going deeper as eria began to piece it together she can't swim.
"You can't swim can you?"eria ppinted out as lazuli blushed slightly hugging herself balling up slightly nodding yes. It surprised them someone at her age can't even swim.
"Wait you don't know how to swim? Usually most people learn at a young age to swim by themselves without someones help"haru said as lazuli scoffed
"Well i was orphaned remember…dad tried to make me swim though i just don't know how alright. Never picked it up"lazuli admitted as she was skilled in parkour, lockpicking, fighting but not swimming because she had a bit of the fear of deeper water as a kid. She almost drowned one time before roman saved her and she was terrified of it since.
Eria sighed"that alright you just need to tell us next time. But we should get out and head to the meeting"she said as they all nodded in agreement at that beginning to get out and quickly dry off since they brought some towels to dry off with.
Although as they did on the boy side falk was blushing bright red right now. Along with jay who cat tail kept shifting through the water like crazy. Because despite their being a big rock it was very thin and they all three heard their entire conversation.
"So…that wasn't awkward at all to hear"jay said breaking the silence.
"Yeah seriously now i'm imagining my snow angel ummm well you know"falk said embarrassed right now as adam kept his stoic look on his face. The faunus sighed shaking his head
"Must you two think such lewd thoughts we should be getting out like them. Then head off to the meeting right now"adam firmly reminded as the two nodded in agreement getting out first going behind some bushes to change. Their was also ryuu who was sitting on a nearby chair flipping a lien coin in the air with two others.
The first a women who seemed to be in her mid thirties as she had lilac colored hair styled into a braided ponytail that draped to the middle of her back. As she had tan skin with a pair of light green eyes with a long scar over the right eye but she wasn't blind.
But for her attire it consisted of a brown longsleeve crop top showing some midriff off with a couple smaller bullet scars on her hips. Their was also how she wore a black vest with fur on the collar of it. With a beowulf skull for pauldrons on both shoulders. As she had pouches on the left side of her hip looped under a belt. For her pants she wore a pair of blue jeans with knee pads and tan shoes.
On her hip was chained mace strapped to her hip on standby mode colored light purple on the grip with a silver ball and chain.
But the second was a large man who had a very msucualr build to him as he seemed to be close to raven age. As he sported brown hair that was short and slightly messy. But he had a brown scruffy beard with hints of grey in it. His eyes were light blue in color.
His attire consisted of a pair of black combat pants with wear and tear to it as it had some patches on it. Along with that he had greaves and kneepads on his legs spalltered in yellow on the armor. But he wore a green sleeveless shirt that showed off his biceps but had over it a hunter dredge trench coat colored dark grey with the branwhen symbol emlbased on the back of it.
On his right hip was a hatcher but more like an axe with a hunting knife strapped to his left hip.
Raven noitced them entered"Their you all are we were about to start soon, where did you all run off too?"She asked
"Stop by a hotsrping i found close by to relax before we got into a heated debate auntie"mai greeted as the man laughed at that.
"Well it seems my niece had some fun in those woods, not even gonna tell your old uncle about it"he said as mai smiled hugging the man tight.
"Come on uncle lee i didn't know you were here yet. Its great to see you"mai said to lee a very old friend of raven and qrow it seems. The women chuckled sighing sitting down crossing her arms but eyed someone down that being adam who took a seat.
"What the hell is he doing here? Rae do you know who that is over their?"she brought to their attention lee especially as he eyed him down growling bringing his hatcher up smacking it down on the wooden table before them.
"Your that terrorist leader of the white fang! Rumor been you left but it seems my old friend here caught your sorry ass. Let me guess where here to turn him in to the authtoires for his bountie?"he asked eagerly it seems
Raven sighed before shaking her head"no because tarrus here is a guest actually along with doing something for our tribe. Something that i can't thank him enough for"she said making him feel honored hearing that.
The two looked like she was talking crazy now as ryuu groaned himself pocketing his coin at that moment.
"Guess lilu and lee had the same reaction like me. Seriously i can't believe this guy is even here i don't like him"ryuu admitted himself as haru sighed slightly placing a hand on him shaking her head sinlecing the man.
The women known as lilu nodded"rae what the hell did this guy even do to earn your respect. Pretty hard to come by"she stated then she decided to reveal something they found as she brought out a picture of the chimera grimm placing it at the head of the table to their confusion but kept their peace as she explained.
"As of last week i'm sure you saw that in a letter i sent to you to regroup to discuss dealing with a new problem. That we have successfully dealt with another knight of grimm making three of them gone"raven said as lee laughed hearing that.
"Another one of those freaks dead, good riddance i say. What you do to the sorry fr–"he was stopped as he was slapped very hard across the face cursitoy of mai. Who was trying very hard to not ball her eyes out as tears began to form.
"What the heck is your problem kid?"ryuu questioned crossing his arms.
"Yeah what you willing to defend one of those monster thank god two of the one who started the fall are d–"lilu was stopped as a blue blur with feathers falling over slammed her down onto the table that being lazuli who growled at her holding her by her throat squeezing tight.
"Don't talk about my cousin death being a god send. If you do, I'll snap your neck"lazuli warned as Adam walked over tearing her off the women as she coughed and hacked for air glaring at lazuli slightly. Lee had a red mark on his face rubbing it.
"Rae can you knock some sense into meli daughter"lee said but raven gripped omen tight closing her eyes.
"Lee…the lancer knight was melissa….she wasn't dead"raven stated to the man going wide eyed at that moment like a freight train hit him. Then he eyed mai who was on the verge of crying right now before pulling her into a protective embrace at that moment.
"Oh sweetie….i'm so sorry…i'm sorry to hear that"lee sorrowfully said as mai cracked burying her face into his chest crying right now. As the other two were shocked by that as raven decided to explain them something. That being what was the picture that being the chimera grimm whats inside each of the grimm knights. How adam earned her gratitude for putting her old friend out of her misery. Once she explained the three seemed to understand immediately.
"A grimm that can control someone bodie…I never would've imagined"lilu said
"Alright that also explains why hes here though…where the heck is your second in command lee?"ryuu asked as he sighed
"I bring terrible news my second in command has change sides. Tock is on vernal side now"lee answered to raven shock especially it seems as she rubbed her eyes heavily upon hearing that right now.

"Our scouts have been seeing sighting of vernals bandits in several areas of the valley. It seems that she been gathering large forces for something. My guess is too attack the main camp since she might know where we are now"raven said
"How would she know you guys seem pretty well hidden"eria pointed out
Mai shook her head"no as of late we've been rather suspicious of some people right now mainly because. Last week one of our caravans got attacked recently. And they were suppose to report yesterday."she stated
Adam knew what she meant"Are you saying their is a spy within in your midst. It would make sense some must have kept their allegiance hidden to inform her of your activities"he stated making lee eye him down for a moment but kept a stoic look.
Raven nodded in agreement"which is why we need to do something i want to send some of you out to investigate certain areas mainly sending someone to check that caravan out. Along with another group checking out an outpost that hasn't responded in days"she said as stepping up was lee.
"I'll head out to the outpost with a few of my warriors. Who knows we might even find survivors their"lee offered as she nodded as they quickly stepped outside as several warriors and tribememebrs where getting things ready at that moment. As they walking forward was jay and midny approaching them,
"Heyya auntie you need some help assuming you guys are going on a mision?"midny asked as strapped to jay back was a curved sword with a pair of cat whiskers imprinted on the hande as the blade handle was colored dark green.
"You read our mind kids i'm heading out to check out a caravan with lilu over here"dravan said offering up lilu and him to check it out which she was fine with. Immediately weiss stepped forward.
"Oh i'll come with its not that far from camp. So i'm still in rather safe distance"weiss said to raven annoyance but sighed nodding in agreement.
"That fine but i'm perusming your heading with your uncle"raven asked eria but it was the opposite
"I rather check out the outpost maybe if were lucky they saw my sister their if their are any survivors"eria said as the jackal wanted to argue with his niece but understood why she was doing it. Soon enough they all got into their assigned groups as in lee group was lazuli, adam, jay and eria. With dravan group their was falk, midny, lilu and weiss as both of them had warriors with them about eight each just incase.
Both of them began to disembark from the camp but as they did lee eyed the nearby tree lines smirking as watching them leave was a group fo vernals bandits as they followed his group exnteivlsy at that moment.
After about a three hour trek through the woods most of them were exhausted from the long walk through the woods. But they were making good progress as in the distance was the outpost but they could already tell it was in ruins.
"Alright where nearing the outpost should be easy all we gotta do it cross this here gap."jay said presenting a very thick log in their path. Lazuli glanced down below seeing a raging river but her vision went slightly blurry.
"Okay i am not crossing that you guys go ahead with out me"lazuli firmly said as eria rolled her eyes rubbing them.
"Just come on across it'll be safe the thing is very sturdy. See"eria said giving it a few good taps as she herself got on it. Then she started to walk across the tree trunk easily to the other side with a smug look.
"Seems easy enough for a rich girl like her. Come on kid we gotta make good head way to find any survivors."lee said as everyone began making their way across which just left lazuli and adam. As the girl stared at the trunk for a moment as adam closed his eye hoping on it offering a hand.
"Would you like some encouragement across or is the infamous swan scared of a simple tree"adam teased making her glare slightly before grabbing his hand stepping infront of him.
"Keep your trap shut prisoner because i'm not scared of anything. Not even this tree"lazuli said with a confident look as adam internally laughed at how she acting.
Once they all where across they all looked at the very much abandoned campsite as tents where torn to shreds along with supply crates being smashed open. But their was also a few rotting decomposing body as jay gagged puking to the side.
"Ughh these guys look like they've been dead for quite a while"jay said whiping his mouth
Lee nodded kneeling down sighing closing one of the dead bodies eyes for repsect"may they live on another day. From how i see it this place is trashed anyway terrible idea coming here. Search for any clues"he ordered as they all began to spread out to look for any sigh of clues. With eria she began to look around the place extensively.
While she did she was wondering how long ago did these men die because it seemed like its been more over a week. Because some of the bodies are half eaten but as she kept walking around something caught her eye as she went wide eyed.
"Wait a minute…is that…no it can't be. Over here!"eria called out rushing forward as close by lazuli, adam along with lee rushed over to her along with another tribemember. As they got over they were confused why she called them over.
"What up princess ice queen you find something?"lazuli asked as eria pulled up a very familiar weapon that belonging to certain blonde. Eria picked up ember ceila as it was in standby mode.
However, close by, Adam noticed a long sword in its sheath colored bright pink with white, along with a pair of kama sickles confused.
"Are these familiar to you?"adam asked
"Their…their yang and emerald weapons. I don't know who sword that is…but…but that would mean…my sister might be here"Eria said with a smile with teary eyes but also worried if vernal bandits got to them
"God dammit that rae girl, vern must have attacked them they must have came here to get to camp. But we should hea–"he was stopped as several gunshot started to ring out as several war crys could be heard. They all looked seeing over forty bandits ruhsing out from the woods too many for them to deal with as two of the tribe members were already restrained pinned down by some.
"Crap retreat its an ambush!"lee ordered as quickly lazuli placed ember ceila in her pack as eira picked up emeralds kama sticks and carried the sword. They all began to sprint toward the tree branch but as eria kept sprinting she was shot from behind lighting up in eltricity crying out in pain falling to the ground groaning.
"Eria!"lazuli called out to go back for her but adam stopped her.
"Its too late their too many of them, don't worry i'm sure they don't hurt her. We can come back for her later"adam stated as she wanted to argue but groaned agreeing with him. Everyone began to make their way across the tree trunk as jay waved them down to join them.
"Over here guys hurry up across"he called out as the two where making their way across but lee smirked before raising his hatchet bringing it down on some rope holding the tree trunk in place. The two were caught offguard as time seemed to slow as lazuli tried to speed across but the tree trunk began to break away already. As the two began to plumate down below to the river below as Jay looked shocked.
"Lee what the hell m–"he stopped before feeling some jammed into his abdomen as he looked down, seeing an arrow in his gut, curious about one of Lee's men. Then lee stepped forward grinning before bringing him over to the edge.
"Sorry kiddio but…we're going to make sure we go back to the old way. The right way long live the new leader of the Branwhen tribe. Vernal '' Lee said before shoving him off the cliff down below to join the two as they plummeted down to the river. As he stared across the way seeing shay there giving him a thumbs up as infact lee was the turncoat for vernal.
It seems we got to meet a traditor to the tribe who used to be friends with raven and qrow. Along with that it seems yang and company are in the anima somewhere right now. Though vlad, liliu, ryuu, lee are my own oc. Thanks for reading!
