Chapter 23:Breach and Clear Training
The night before it was a new morning over atlas right now in the middle of mantle right now were two individuals. That being hunter who was on his skateboard skating alongside marrow who was walking with them. The two had a silent walk the entire way on their way to pietro clinic right now. It was rather akward the entire time
As they kept traveling down the road as people where minding their own business for the day trying to still stave off the cold weather. But soon enough the wolf decided to finally break the eerie silence.
"So we gonna just sit in silence or are we gonna talk about something?"marrow asked
Hunter looked away"theirs nothing to really talk about, your just here to complete your stupid job"he growled slightly
Marrow shook his head at that because it wasn't really his job to be a babysitter right now. But more like he was just trying to make sure the person who he replaced after her injruie all those years ago. Though he can guess where the kids coming from.
"Kid for starters i'm going to drop some wisdom on you. I've been where you were before"marrow stated catching hunter interest as he stopped his board then kicked the back throwing it up catching it placing it under his arm.
"Really? What your parents get you kidnapped at the age of nine?"hunter asked making the wolf glare slightly before flicking his forehead as he rubbed it.
"No for starters bree already talk to you i guess, but that was just bad luck is all okay. Now listen"marrow said as they were about a few feet from pietro but they stood outside to have a sit down real quick. Hunter leaned against a wall waiting for him to start
Marrow rubbed his face for a moment"look i had a dad that joined the military, pretty much the main reason i joined up"he started
"Let me guess he aint around anymore because he…"hunter stopped as he nodded with a somber look.
"He died when i was around ten to twelve years old. Mom had to try and support our family by taking up two jobs to keep us afloat. I got stuck always babysitting my little sister for three years straight, coudln't hang out with my friends. After one day she promised to do something as a family with us"he continued which peeked hunter interest alot wondering where this was going.
"But that day we were suppose to go to the vytal festival when it came to atlas. She saved up enough money for us to go to the fair. Though she got called into work since she was a veteran for a zoo and veterian office. I got so mad i told her that all she cared about is working and doesn't even wanna be near us since we remind her of dad"he continued with an upset look which hit hunter to his core hearing that.
Hunter rubbed his arm"let me guess you refused to talk to her for a week?"he asked but it was the opposite.
"Nah try me running away for five days, back then i was a trouble maker. Though hanging out with my friends for a few days two of them pointed out what i did was wrong. That she only doing that because she cares about me"he continued before walking over placing a hand on him.
Hunter wondered what happened next"what happened after that?"he asked
Marrow smiled as his tail wagged"i came home to my worried mother and sister, i told her i was so sorry for what i did. But she welcomed me with open arms happy i was safe. "He finished as the teen took those words in for a moment sighing heavily before getting what this was leading too.
"Let me guess i should apolgize to my moms and sister?"he asked as he nodded
"You should…and just tell em you had a date with your boyfriend"marrow replied as hunter face got bright red that it could melt the snow aroun him.
"I..i..uh kinda don't want to…they might not accept me for liking guys"hunter sheepishly replied which made him look at him like he was crazy. The wolf didn't even say it until it hit hunter like a truck for his dumb reasoning.
"Wait…they both are women who love each other. Which means…"he stopped before marrow snapped his fingers.
"That they'll be fine with you dating a guy, though take your time on telling them when your ready"marrow replied as they walked inside the office and immediately the first to embrace the teen was carmine holding him close with an upset look.
"Oh thank god your okay. I…i was so worried..i..i'm so sorry sweetie that i.."she was stopped before he returned it tightening it slightly.
"Its..its fine…i..i was just mad is all. I'm so sorry for worrying you"hunter apolgized making carmine feel a little better right now holding him close. Mariana was flexing her hand as it was in working order before cracking her metal hands.
"Well good job for realziing your mistake, because we've been waiting for you to arrive. Because we still got time have a fun day"mariana said as he released his hold on his first mother nodding to the second liking that.
"I'm happy your son is safe, though make sure to get those properly check out next time. Come by again if you like"pietro said as they bidded the man goodbye. Carmine and her family went around mantle and atlas doing some things as a family. They went to the zoo for a bit as tella got to ride a horse around for fun. While hunter just enjoyed himself spending time with his family the entire time. They just had a fun day out at the zoo for a while until doing things they wanted to try. That being visiting a science museum as carmine had a small lecture on some of exhibits which they shot down because now wasn't the time for studying.
After that they went to a music store as mariana played them all small tune on the guitar since the women learned to play it at a young age. While they visited a paintball arena for him as they got destroyed by mariana thanks to her military training. Soon they returned home after an exhausting day of fun.
Maraiana was in the middle of making dinner as she placed the plates out for everyone. As hunter, tella and carmine sat at the table.
Tella was humming in joy"today was alot of fun, we haven't spent that much time together in so long"she said cheerfully.
"I know because it was nice spending time with each other as a family"carmine replied drinking some tea.
Hunter nodded"yeah though still sorry for early. Though um…"he paused on his words wanting to just say it. Since marrow told him to wait but its been three months now, and he guessed his mother tort might know already.
Mariana noticed his pause as she layed out their dinner for the night consisting of rice, roasted potatoes and chicken.
"Why did you pause? Do you have something to tell us?"mariana asked motherly as they sat in an awkward silence as he stared at them. Then he took an exhaled breath deciding to tell him about why he had plans.
"Well..the reason i had plans..was because i had a date with my…boyfriend"hunter muttered the last part but they heard it. Marian eyes went wide as tella titled her head as carmine gasped slightly. It was an awkward silence before carmine squealed hugging him close.
"You should have just told us! Oh i'm so happy for your dear"carmine cried in joy which wasn't the reaction he expected kinda.
Mariana chuckled"So you swing for the other team like your moms…so i'm guessing you don't wanna tell us who the lucky guy is?"she asked as he nodded escaping from his mothers hug who was all smiles right now.
"N-not really…though he had plans this week and told me it was the only time we could spend time together. Sorry"hunter said
"You don't gotta apologize lets enjoy the night, because i got some work i need to finish soon"Carmine said as they continued to eat their dinner as he felt relieved getting that off his chest. After dinner was over carmine was in her lab right now.
Because she had to complete one thing for the night that being those syringes. The machine was done mixing the flowers as she grabbed it revealing the mashed up flowers. First thing she did was grab a few different types of chemicals putting them in a beaker. Then as she mixed them together it made a reddish liquid. Next step was her dumping the crush up flowers into the concatuion.
Then she moved the beaker around using a small stick to mix them around as it changed colors to a mix of red, green, yellow and orange it seems. What she had to do next was add one of the two key ingredients, grimm blood. Carmine reached for a small fridge as she reched into pulling out a vial of grimm blood, she poped the cork dumping it in the liquid as it started to make it turn tar like with the colors mixed in.
The final step involved the use of her semblance as she activated it concentrating enough as her right hand glowed slightly. It caused a small bit of pain as she cried slightly but the process after a bit was done. Slowly she panted opening her palm to reveal a flower.
Her semblance allows her to create flowers which doesn't hurt her aura by much. But this one was very rare since it had six petals shaped like a stellate. Though the petals where ghost white with crimson red and dark blue lines on each of the petals. In the center was a silver pistol…this was a blight flower.
Carmine sighed"alright your the last piece…then i can give james those cases of syringes"she said adding the last ingredient as it hissed slightly turning the liquid into a golden iciour. Lastly she placed it in machine as it started to make more syringe. The women sighed with an upset look hoping that they use these to save those six innocent that never asked for this, she soon called it a night.
It was the morning now but at atlas academy right now the most prestigious academy for all the students. Though right now in the locker room as hariett, bonnet and elm were getting changes into their gear. Hariet was already in her gears making sure her weapons work. While elm was in the process of putting her shirt on revealing her toned and muscular build as she wore dark green bra presenting her moest bust.
While bonnet was in a lacy dark brown bra and panty set. Which made them see her in all her splendor seeing her toned legs and toned arms and broad shoulders with a slim figure.
"So what do you think where doing today exactly?"elm questioned
"No clue, because apparently us spartans are coming, you think its a mission?"bonnet asked crossing her arms presenting her bust.
Hariett blushed slightly seeing this"well maybe but probably just a training exercise to keep us on our toes. Incase those grimm knights come around"she replied as close by a voice spoke up.
"Well were lucky two of them are dead"a girl voice spoke up as they looked toward the source belonging to leah gogh. Who was in a towel right now which presented her slim figure presenting her modest bust as her hair was dripping wet, fresh out of the shower.
Hariett glared slightly but kept her stoic face"yeah though you shouldn't butt in on miltary business kid"she warned.
"Hey i'm just getting a shower after training with my team."leah replied walking to her locker grabbing her clothes from it. Though as she did she looked at the group wanting to ask them a question.
"So did you guys kill that freak that helped started the fall?"leah suddenly asked making them freeze up slightly. Hareitt especially who luckily hide her mannerism well but was internally screaming right now.
Bonnet huffed"kid does the term classified mean anything to you? Because you need to quit asking questions"she warned clenching her fist as her tail thrashed around.
"She right because your just a trainee, i suggest you get changed then get out of here"elm warned but she wasn't backing down it seems.
"What i'm just curious, seriously that thing helped kill my best friend. For starters i'm happy its dead"leah started before walking to the changing room as hariett gripped her fist tight threatening to break a nail as she had the gull right now. Because she felt very annoyed for some reason.
Leah then had the gull to say one more thing before she got into the changing room"heck whoever that things family was probably wishes it was dead. Its dumb teammates are upset for a monster being dead. Fricking creeps"she finished walking out of the place toward the changing room. Once she was out of ear shot hariett used her exo fist smacking hard into a locker caving it in.
"Whoa calm down bunny, seriously i'd like nothing more to punch that kid. Shes got a mouth"bonnet said
Elm sighed"yeah, but chill out hare. Because still weird how you suddenly care about what people say about that kid"She said as hariett sighed standing up rubbing her knuckles since that did hurt slightly.
"Mad that she disrpecting the dead. I was already too slow to act before preventing someone from dying. Theirs already blood on my hands"hariett said with an upset look which worried the two a little right now. Bonnet walked over wrapping an arm around her startling her slightly.
"Come on just relax, it was just a mistake alright…you just gotta keep moving to make sure no more happen"bonnet replied
Hariett separated hiding her blush turning away"you…are right it still hurts that i couldn't save the dumb kid. Though hope hes in a better place we should get going"she said as they nodded at that. But elm noticed her blush laughing internally knowing why but kept it to herself.
After a bit of waiting in the hallway as the two were in their ace ops uniforms right now. Eventually soon enough bonnet came out in her spartan ops gear. That being a pair of tight fitting running pants with a hole in the back for her tail. For a pair of shoes she wore black running shoes with a knife sheath on her right ankle. Their was also that she sported a white tactical shirt with a hood with red lining it on the arms and shoulders. Along with the elbow pads and shoulder pads, a matching hood with red colored interior.
But she had a pair of black parkour gloves as she sported a tactical vest with grenades and flashbangs on it. Their was also the gleaming fact she wore a black fleece ski mask, only showing her eyes. Sporting the spartan patch on her right chest.
Her weapons were a pair of gaunlents that seemed to resemble automatic pistol with two slots on it.
"Alright since your ready lets get over their now"elm said as the three headed to the training field.
At the atlas academy training field right now the ace ops had gahtered with the atlas spartans as they lined up on opposite sides of each other. Their were maybe about six of them in total sporting similar outfits like the rest of them. With slight alterations weather that be mask, weapons, gender, traits you name it. But they were curious about he sudden meetup. Just then the door opened revealing marshal mactavish without ironwood by his side instead miller.
The man wore a similar outfit like the rest of his soldier but sported a balacava mask but the right side had red splotchs on it that perfectly matched his burn scar. While on his chest was his rank being two metal stripe, because he was the captain of this unit.
Next to him was also artiems in her usually attire.
"Thank you all for assembling so quickly today. I understand you all must be very curious why i've brought you all here to the training field of the academy today. Along with the general being misin, unfortunately he got held up running the academy"mactviash started which got them confused for a bit as he continued.
"But today your here for one important reason to test your team work and cooperation. We'll be doing a small training exercise that most fo you are familiar with"he continued
"Sir if i may ask why are we doing this obstacle course?"elm questioned
"Well i'm sure you've all heard about the news reporting two more grimm knights being sighted in vale?"mactvaish asked as they all were piercing together what they were doing.
"Wait…sir are you considering sending both our units to kill two more of those freaks."a soilder asked sporting a shotgun on his back. Along with having pale skin with blonde hair with light green eyes, his mask was lifted up.
"Not exactly harper, we don't wanna risk too much loses to leave our kingdom defneisly. Because as of today were going to send a small squad into the city. "Miller answered to even more of their confusion.
"What exactly will we be doing their sir if i may ask?"bonnet questioned
Mactavish reached into his coat pulling out what their delvieiring a syringe which surprised hariett a little that why their here. They must be testing them to see who will head into the city to transport them.
"The good doctor been working hard on making these lately. Right now she should be delvieirng those syringe to james right now"mactviash replied before pocketing it crossing his arms.
"To ensure our kingdom and others safety, the council agree to let them pass through the borders. But we wanna make sure your all still in tip top shape"artemis added
"Heres on this training exercise will go and it will not be simply because your leaders are not assisting you in this exercise. Except they'll be be watching from above"artimis said as it surprised each of them.
"Sir if we have no one leading us that would be trouble. Are you certain that is wise sir?"vine questioned
"I simply wish to test all of your abilities of following orders is all if you don't have your commanding officer. Because how will work is simply harper, ramierz, bonnet and alexa your up. Jamal and sarah your lucky you get to be something else"mactviash said as the two soldier named sarah and jamal stepped foward.
"What would that be sir?"sarah asked before mactavish, artemis, miller and clover moved from their spots as platforms rose right underneath them as they stepped away from the arena into an observation room. Then immediately the two soldiers were apperhended by two ak-130 dragging them to the next thing that sprung up. That being a building rising from the ground seeming about two stories tall as the two were dragged inside with the bots slamming the doors shut.
Then an intercom soon came to life"you'll be performing a standard hostage rescue. The bots are armed with rubber shell so you won't be in any danger. However takes this matter seriously if it were a real situation. You have ten minutes to clear the building of hostils and rescue those two. "Mactviash spoke as they all began to take their starting position everyone prepared their weapons as ramierz and alexa both had standard issue atlas assault rifles.
"Make sure to use your weapons wisly, their are about fifteen hostiles in the area. Keep an eye on your weapons and watch each other backs'artimis said as they all got ready for their training exercise.
Until a loud buzzer blasted through the arena signaling the start. Immediately they rushed to cover as three bots two of which on heavy turrets as they fired upon them while the third had a sniper in hand firing at them with rubber bullets as the timer appeared above them. As the eight took cover, clover crossed his arms with a confident look.
"I'm sure these guys will do alright sir. We've have solid team work with them like we always do"clover said in confidence.
Artemis huffed slightly"correction a few of my soldiers actually don't like a few of your teammates "she snarky said which confused him slightly wondering if their will be bad blood right now.
"Lets just hope they drop that stuff and keep it in the locker rooms. Because they can't have simply squabbles"miller stated worried himself.
Down below they were thinking of a plan on how to deal with those turrets and sniper.
"So anyone got any suggestions on how to deal with them?"alexa asked providing cover fire alongside rameriz as they thought of a plan.
Harper racked a shell in his shotgun"i got one. Wolf tail, and bertha over here draw their fire. Letting us rushed forward to get to the building"he suggested smuggly which made elm growl slightly at him.
"That aint my name soldier, why don't we think of something else than scarfieicing someone aura"elm warned it seems.
Hariet however thought of something differently" she right that won't work. Vine used your semblance to block those bullets. Marrow render one of them imovable then bonnet you flank and get atop the building taking that sniper out."she suggested
"What about the rest of us? Or you gonna get someone killed or maimed?"harper smugly asked hitting a sour spot.
Bonnet growled"harper drop the attitude now!"She demanded as he scoffed. Hareritt didn't like how he was acting but they decided to follow their orders rushing in. vine used his aura hands to block the gunfire from the turrets deflecting the turrets. While the sniper got its sights in on him bonnet quickly used her semblance. As her she squated slightly before leaping very high in the sky since her semblance allows her to have increased agility along with increased jumping.
The monkey faunus used one her guanlents clicking a button firing a hookshoot onto the ledge of the sniper. She zoomed forward grabbing the ledge flipping up as she quickly fired several bullets into the bot desotryingg it. While ramierz and alexa were rushing forward but one of the turrets then switched its sights on her firing several rubber bullets at her. They hit her cuaisng her to become stun slightly falling to the ground.
Marrow saw this deciding to use his semblance"stay!"he commanded pointing a finger at the turret as it became stuff as a board as he kept pointing at it. While elm switched to her rocket launcher firing a rocket taking that one out. While vine used his aura hand to disable the other throwing its shoot out of the way.
They quickly regroup as bonnet jumped back down as ramieraz carried alexa over.
"We got a wounded, should we have someone stay with her?"ramieraz asked
"Don't bother two of these guys already left someone behind, might as well do it again"harper jabbed. Hariett shook her head ignoring him.
"You stay here with her keep her safe, the rest of you split up. Bonnet, harper your with me. Marrow, vine and elm you three take the lower floor we got the second floor"hariett ordered as above clover was a little impressed with her quick leadership skills. He could see a bit of mariana in her.
"Alright be careful you three and watch out for the hostages"vine warned as they nodded splitting up as they took the lower floor. While they took the top quickly running up some stairs on the side. While above mactavish seemed to noticed what miller and artemis meant by their soldiers not liking the ace ops.
"Whats with the corporal? Seems rather pissed about something"mactavish asked
Miller groaned rubbing his eyes under his mask"sorry sir the guys been a little hurt lately. Probably about youngblood. Him and that rookie did get a little close"he answered as clover closed his eyes shaking his head not taking that into account.
"Look just have a talk with him after this is over. Guessing we know who not going on that mission then"clover replied as they continued to watch what played out before them.
As already inside was marrow and his group as they were met by six of the bots ready to fill them with rubber lead. They all took cover behind some walls as with quick thinking vine decided to suggest something.
"I suggest you get behind me, i'll use my semblnace as a barricade then we move forward"he suggested
"I like the sound of that"marrow said as vine got out of cover using his aura hands as a makeshift shield blocking the incominung bullets. While elm and marrow got behind him beginning to take pot shots at the bots. Marrow quickly shot two down in quick succession as he qucikly changed to his boomerang. Peeking slightly out of cover flicking his wrist he tossed it into a bot slicing its head clean off as it returned to his hands.
As they kept pushing vine used his hands to push one into a wall hard as elm broke from cover reeling her hammer back swinging hard into the two disabling them in an instant. The three stop before waiting for the others.
Above the second floor they stacked up on an outside door as bonnet peeked through a window seeing their objective inside with four bots.
"Alright their in their, whats the game plan bunny?"bonnet asked but before she could answer harper spoke up.
"Lets just rush in, if we hit one of them it'll be fine"harper argued it seems.
Hariett kept her emotion in check not wanting to look bad"were not doing that stack up on the door. Were breaching and clearing careful who you hit"she ordered to his annoyance as they stacked up on the door. Then harper blasted the doors off the hinges as they rushed in. a bot aimed at them but bonnet leaped forward kicking it down then quickly blowing it head off then spin kicked another down before it sneaked attacked her.
While hareritt used her semblance to quickly disable it then she sped forward toward another disarming it before flipping it weapon back shooting it down. Then she decided to get the last one but harper fired off his shotgun hitting it, but it almost hit her too. Harper then touched the button where sarah and jamal were signaling the end of the course.
All of them regroup as everything returned to normal as the others came down.
"Not bad you all…but some of you seemed to be trying to disappoint me"mactviash said hershey.
"Which is surprising since one of you were very quick to be very sloppy. And not follow orders"Clover added
Miller crossed his arms in disappointment"corporal bana, what was that back their because that aint how we roll"he stated
"Sir the objective was completed wasn't it? Just following our prized ace ops example"harper said directly toward marrow and hareitt for some reason.
"You may have completed your objectives. However the glaring issue was how you need to work on something teamwork. Alexa got hurt and you suggested to leave her behind we don't leave a soldier. Though in doing so left you down two soldiers, marrow, vine and elm cleared their floor. While you three did but you suggested rushing in which in turn put the hostages at risk, you also almost hit your ally. If this was a real situation most of you would be caught dead from your childish beahvior. Also harriet here took leadership quickly suggesting what to do and followed orders. Every decision is crucial especially when its live and death. Dismissed"he replied before leaving them with artemis following him.
"Harper i suggest you fix your behavior right now. Because you aint going on that mission at all since we required two ace ops to accompany the doctor."miller added
"So what we still completed our objective. Two of us are very quick to leave someone behind for dead"harper replied
However elme didn't see it that way"i understand you and your unit formed a bond with the kid. But he died on his own terms if this continue people could be replaced when killed"elm said
Harper didn't seem effected by what she said"well…good that you know when you can be replaced. Probably by one of us like your brother or that miserable women tortuga who retired"harpet stated. Elm didn't like what he what he said walking up to him with a scowl on her face.
"How about i replace that attitude of yours?!"she shouted almost ready to throw a bunch. Clover quickly intervene pulling her back with bonnet help. As miller shoved harper back.
"Break it up!"hartiett shouted getting inbetween the two glaring at elm slightly
"Go take a walk to calm down"she ordered. Elm glared at harper one more time before walking off with vine, marrow, bonnet and the other soldier leaving the four.
"Watch what you say around elm. That women is sensitive about the whole thing about being replaced"hariett warned
"The litenanuts right, and don't talk about my partner behind her back."clover warned with a scowl.
Harper scoffed"so what, i'm still pretty pissed you let a kid die. Should have been one of you…bye"he said leaving them as they left them alone in their own thoughts.
"I'm sorry about him, he still hurt about the kid but don't let him get to you. You were all just following orders"miller said
Hariett laughed slihglty"yeah orders…guess we have the rest of the day off. I'm leaving see yah"she said quickly leaving but clover studied her for a bit wondering something, she looked very nervous when orders where mentioned.
In atlas academy right now in the general stood silently in his office right now looking outside his window at the city with a stoic look. As he was on holo call with councilman wilkins.
"Councilman wilkins. I understand your worries right now about the people of mantle. But you should discuss this with the rest of the council"he said as on the call was the coucnilman along with willow schnee.
"James, we've been good friends for years now. Along with that wilkins markets are my own comapny. Its not their decision what i do with my company"he argued
"He right, i do appreciate what you've done for my family keeping that vile man away from them. After letting it.."williow voice hitched as he noticed without looking her being troubled before facing them.
" that night at the gala was a wake up call it seems. I've valued jacque friendship for years now, but he lost that chance. Your father would be disappointed at what hes done to your company. But…"he stopped before thinking about how this might play out.
They do need all the help and support they can get but along with that making sure their entire kingdom is safe from these grimm knights. Atlas is important but so are the citizens of mantle as he gave a answer.
"But it would be smart to be on goodgraves with mantle. Send a decent number of supplies like food and medicine too them. Not too much to dwindle our supplies i'll even visit later tonight to make sure it gets their safely"he replied which brought a warming smile to willow face including wilkins.
"Thank you old friend, though the media may like this development since some of them are very anger still about peitros daughter exitance"wilkin warned as he nodded in agreement before disappearing from his view. Then a knock came to his door.
"Enter"he ordered as the door opened revealing carmine aclus in her usual getup but carrying two large briefcases in hands struggling a little. Ironwood walked over closing the door before taking the briefcase easily placing them on the desk,
"Thank you james, i take it you know why i'm here?"carmine asked
"I do how many did you make this time? It wasn't too draining was it?"ironwood asked as carmine walked open pulling out a key twisting it inside the case, then placed a thumbprint on the scanner as it beeped with a click.
"I made around ninety in the last week…which was very draining on my semblance"she answered presenting the case that hissed with ice off it presenting several syringes neatly placed inside it.
"Excellent work. Because tomorrow you and some soldiers will be leaving atlas. "He added surprising her.
"Wait…where are we taking these?"she aksed cursiouly.
"Your to take them to vale to give glynda and the huntsman their to kill those two grimm knights. Reports states its the one known as alpha and one resembling a sabyr grimm called zeta"ironwood replied making carmine go wide eyed hearing that name. Along with where she was going gulping nerovusly wanting to ask a question.
"Umm sir…c-could we please try and save . That was one of those people who didn't ask for this"carmine begged with hope it seems
Ironwood shook his head"i'm sorry but that is not an option. Like omega that became a problem letting him roam free which in turn let arthur use those mental suggestions. Carmine had tears forming unknown to him"t-then..c-can i please just send his things to his mother. Someone told me a relative of his is at that base"she begged again but he told her several times before.
"I'm sorry but we can't for the last time. Most of his items here in atlas may give away classified intel. I.."he was stopped as she particularly lunge at him shaking a little with a small sob being heard.
"James..p-please…i..i ruined a child life…i heard he finally found his mother. Then she lost him again…p-please just let me send a few of his things. Please..i beg you"carmine pleaded with tears on her face as the general wanted to remain very firm on his stance. But he closed his eyes exhaling ehavily before removing her seeing her with tears running down her face. He will regret doing this.
"I'll let you take a small bit of his things their. That is all nothing more, anything classified stays behind"ironwood softly said making her smile before hugging him.
"I..thank you sir…i'll make sure to get these delivered to them when we leave"carmine said turing around leaving, opening the door leaving his office. Ironwood took a breath before giving a small smirk hoping this doesn't cause anything negative to happen.
Although all the way across in the winter outskirts of the great city of atlas layed solitas. The coldest climate in all of atlas making it inhospitable for both faunus and humans and even grimm itself to live in. its an easy place to get lost in espeically its icy tundras along with its winter forest areas that dotted the light. As the night sky was out right now.
Which revealed the polar lights in the night sky of the city that shimmered around the entire frozen landscape creating a beautiful canvas among the stars.
Their were several atlas outpost stations around the entire place stationed around the place keeping watch for any oncoming threats. All of them staffed with soldiers trianed for anything along with huntsman and huntresses assisting them even. Though right now on the close by mountain ridges that surround the frozen tundra sat something very strange it seems.
In one of the mountains expertly hidden by prying eyes seemed to be an entire fortress built into the side of a mountain. Along with it being colored grey like the mountains to make it blend in even more. Though this fortress wasn;t one of atlas many bases around the kingdom or continent…it was someone elses.
The inside of the base was home to a certain grouped employed by someone that being arthur watts personal mercenary group. As several crimson talon soilder were roaming the halls of the facility that seemed to be very wide and spacious. As siceniest and researchers were all hard at work on their new goals given by their employer.
That goal would be protecting their asset right now in the base as across the way deep in the fort was a room. The room was simple as it had a large table with several pieces of research equipment on the table to conduct their experiments. Ranging from microscope, scapels, syringes, surgical tools and several different types of beakers and flask.
While in the room sat a large tv that was displaying several different medical scans of someone skeleton system. Along with organs being on display switching every few seconds. Close by their was also a shelf containing several different jars that had organs in them it seems that were pickled. Along with statues that showed certain body parts of human and faunus along with grimm.
Their was a bed in the room that was very large to fit someone along with a kitchen close by. But the owner of this lab was one person or grimm hybrid that being dorian the goliath knight. Who traded his trenhcoat for a white lab coat as it was hanging up on a nearby coat rack.
Dorian was reading a book right now taking a small break from his work, his work being making more grimm knights for his queen. Along with working on something special arthur sent him a while ago. As he sat their reading a book enjoying his piece of literature a knock came to his door.
"Enter"he replied as the door slide open to reveal three figures their. The first being reo with his signature gas mask on but with two more individuals wearing cloaks right now. But he knew who these two were as he placed his reading glasses on his eyes.
"Ah to what do i owe my siblings and you reo?"dorian aksed closing his book walking to a nearby shelf placing it with the others.
Reo chuckled twirling his knife for a moment"for starters wanted to see how your researcher is coming. Because it seems jacque delivered giving us about ten more of his workers that are too worthless to be missed"he replied making the goliath knight smile upon hearing this.
"Excellent work, though epsilon and upsilon what brings you too here?"dorian asked the two grimm knights known by their deisngations epsilon and upsilon. The women in the cloak also known as epsilon scoffed slightly as her back budlged a little.
"Nothing much dear brother, just wanting to come check up on your progress with our new little sister"she asked eagerly
"Yes, because were very glad to have more to our ranks. I heard sigma is hard at work in mistral making some as well"upslion added
Dorian cupped his chin before leaving the room as they followed him out to the hallway. Which had several people already hard at work to appease their queen because most of them are their hired help or their loyal followers from their followers of the unseen eye. As the guards were busy rounding up prisoners to get to work in their mines or take them to help with a test.
"Ah yes our new little sister. She has taken her new grimm features well but she still isn't ready yet for the surgery."dorian started as he sipped his coffe.
Uplision growled annoyed as his arms around his cloak moved a little suggesting something was alive under their right now. As he just smacked a nearby wall in annoyance making a crack in the wall appear.
"So that little brat isn't ready? Our mistresses wants result to deal with ozpin and his allies"he stated firmly
"We already know that but…some of the doctors have been keeping an eye on her. It was rather hard to bring someone back from the dead remeber?"reo reminded begrundly as they soon stepped through another pair of heavy duty doors. As they walked in the hall it revealed a hall of cells doors.
All of them heavy duty keeping something in but they had one desiantion. They walked down the hall for a bit until after ten minutes they reached a certain room. Like the rest of them it had heavy metal doors but it had words above it reading"Subject Scarlet".
"Ah yes that girl it slipped my dam mind that she used to be alive. Her skills will prove very useful for our queen when she serves us"eplison supports with glee.
"Indeed dear, though lets check on our patient to see if shes adjust to her grimm features still. Along with being willing to cooperate"dorian said as he was about to open the door with a keycard until someone called out.
"Oh uh sir. I didn't expect you to be here should i take my leave?"a women voice rang out as he turned to the voice who it belong too.
It was a younger women who was in the standard crimson talon soldier atttire. But she didn't sport a helmet except she had fair skin with a set of deep blue eyes with jet black hair made into a viking braid drapped over her right shoulder.
Uplision growled"i think you should you pathetic worm. If you know whats good for you"he spat making her visible flinch in fear. As he stepped forward dorian put an arm up looking at her.
"You should but whats brings you here…"he was wondering her name as reo recalled who she was.
"Angie, what are you doing here? I thought i tasked you to be keeping an eye on the prisoner and giving them their medicine"reo asked but she was actually here for that.
"Uhh thats what i'm here for sir"the soldier known as angie said gesturing to whats in her hands. That being a metal tray containing some bread along with a simple bowl of chicken soup. Which didn't really look that appeal as it had no utensil for their subject to use.
After much consideration dorian thought for a moment sighing"you may give her meal for her but after we are done talking with her"he said as she nodded nerovusly shaking a little in fear. Dorian then punched in the code for the door then pulled a keycard out opening the doors as it slide open.
Once inside it was a simple padded room in design but their subject was someone very familiar. It was a girl with ghost white skin along with her eyes being green like emeralds. As she had scarlet colored hair that was long and undone as it reached her back. Her body was athletic and toned in appearance. But her grimm features were very apparent as her right arm was a grimm like talon with clawed fingers that still resemble a human in a way. On her waist behind it was a long beowulf like tail that swayed around looking a little magy. Their was also how she had a half grimm mask with fangs in her hands removed to reveal it was.
That being somehow now alive pyrrha nikos with a grimm like appearance.
Pyrrha was in the corner but glanced up them with fear balling up in the corner for dear life glaring at all of them right now.
"W-why are you here? Here to take me to do another one of your sick test"pyrrha spat with malice surprising for such a clam and sweet girl.
"No. i'm just here to check on your progress little sister. Soon enough you will join our ranks and serve our queen. You shoudl fee–"dorian was stopped as she knew for certain they werne't her siblings.
"You are not my family! My mother is thetis nikos and my father peleus. "Pyrrha said with tears in her eyes as her tail thrashed around in anger.
"And my little sister are rogue and eria hayley you all can burn in hell for what you are. I know what you did to one of my friends…i'll never serve t–"She was stopped as the eplison knight lunge forward smashing her against the padded wall hard but she still gasped from pain.
The women hands were claws fingers as she pointed one at her eyes placing it inbetween them.
"Disrespect our queens name again and you'll be punished severely again. This time we will break your fingers slowly"she warned making pyrrha have a look of fears as tears were running down her face.
To her she just wants to go home to see those twins she considers little sister along with seeing her mother who she misses deeply. All of her friends hoping they got out of vale in time along with her teammates nora and ren. And especially her love jaune who she hopes that will still have her.
Dorian stepped forward"Dracona release her. Because soon enough when tomorrow comes you will join us dear sister"he said making uplision very intrigued along with the epsilon knight also known as dracona. As she let pyrrha go falling to the ground as she hacked and coughed for air. Then they left but not before angie left the tray for her to finish. When they exited the room dorian and reo went one way.
"I'll be in my lab, you two do whatever perhaps go check on your pets"dorian suggested returning to his lab as reo went off elsewhere. Once they were far enough the two grimm knight sped off somewhere with angie following them. After maybe thirty minutes they soon arrived in a hidden area of the facility as four others soldiers with the same outfit were watiing.
"I take it your here to tell us the plan will still be happening?"a female soldier asked
"Yeah because we might be caught very soon, were lucky you two are well…"he stopped as the uplsion knight began to hold his head crying in pain falling to his knees as hisses could be heard coming from him that sounded very anger.
"Shut up…your…not taking me…over again…your not making another one of you demons"he said pounding his fist as angie quickly retrieved something from a pouch one of alcus syringes. She quickly injected it into him as he calmed down nodding.
"We gotta do this tomorrow now, their putting that poor girl through surgery. Your very lucky i found these syringes. But their only enough for one more day since you taken already eight each now"she warned as dracona sighed as she dipped her head.
"That'll be fine…you all are risking alot right now. You may all die if we loose control"dracona wanred but the five had confident looks.
"If saving one person from being turned into one of you is a good deed. To make up for what we did we'll be fine with it"angie said as the others nodded. Because these two grimm knights were on time to free one innocent girl. But dracona mainly wanted to do it for one person that is gone that she met long ago.

Pyrrha and her entire team are alive in this universe, i understand some other story have one of the other three die but i wanted to test the waters.
