Chapter 24:New and Former Lover Meeting
With weiss and her group making their way through the woods right now toward their destination that caravan that went mising. As they walked through the woods they were maybe about an hour into their walk. But striked up some casually conversations along the way.
They were in a forested part of the woods right now as the leafs from the tree were turning yellowish green now falling to the ground. But they had a small formation just incase they ran into trouble along the way, with dravan leading the charge right now. As some of the tribes warriors surrounded weiss mainly since they rather not risk her getting kidnapped.
"So great to see you again auntie. How long has it been since we last saw each other?"midney asked
Lilu thought for a moment"about five months right now since we were tasked to protect some town. Though…we ran into some issues over their actually"she said
"What type of issues would that be?"a triberwarriors asked as the women rubbed her eyes heavily.
"Call me crazy but about two weeks ago at this small settlement we were guarding. We got attacked by the unseen eye along with a bunch of guys in military gear"luliu said catching weiss and falk interest a little.
"Wait…who are the unseen eye? I've never heard about them are they some sort of mercenary company?"Weiss questioned with her gunsword out but was correct.
"Snow angel try more like deranged cultist that operate out of vacuo"falk corrected to her surprise hearing about that.
"Wait…vacuo has a local cult. Why haven't they done anything about them?"weiss asked confused for a moment. The tribe warriors along with dravan, lilu and even falk groaned at the mention of those cultist it seems. Because as of late lilu noticed some in mistral which is strange, they usually don't come here.
"The vacuovian council has tried in the past. But everysince their previous speaker died long ago they've become more deranged. Their a cult of assassin last time i recall some guy who went by marcus black killed their leader"Dravan added to her interest that was mercury dad if she recalled.
"Oh….so mercury dad was the one who killed their previous speaker. Maybe he might have info when they arrive"weiss thought but falk was interested on one thing she mentioned
"Hold up guys in military gear with black uniforms. What type of ensigna or patch they got?"falk questioned as the women thought for a moment recalling what she saw on them.
"A crimson bird claw. They seemed well oiled too hell saw a few of them after capturing them with atlas ranks. A couple of them had special ops too"lilu answered which made the pilot groan rubbing his eyes.
"So watts personal merc group is in mistral. Which means that their probably rounding up soldiers to assault havan. Heck maybe even those cultist are helping them and the fang"Falk added as they discussed along the way about why raven mainly called their forces back.
Midney chuckled"Don't worrie we can handle those guys, though…wheres abraham?"she suddenly aksed to falk confusion as lilu froze up slightly rubbing her arm for a moment.
"abraham?"weiss questioned
"Wait that wouldn't happen to be amara husband?"falk asked but their was more.
"Ummm try my husband as well"lilu correct to the two shock right now hearing that one guy has two wifes. Which they found very strange to hear right now being uttered, but one of them did have it before well used to. As they walk in silence weiss got curious.
"Wait…so you two both married the same man? Does that mean the people falk and tarrus are staying with your family?"Weiss asked which caught the women offguard hearing that.
"Yep that would be us, were sort of in a polymary relationship. Were both fine with it trying to spread the love around equally. But though where he is he's…back in that town we were tasked to protect. Left him their to defend it since he was my second in command"lilu said but hesitated on where he was it seems, which went unnoticed.
Dravans sighed"that upsetting to hear i would have loved a good brawl. Your dumb son keeps whining how he missed you two"he added making her smile hearing that. Though they kept their walk going for a bit until they reached something.
Passing through a clearing and some brush they soon arrived at something that being about three wagoons from the looks of it. But all of them were smashed to pieces with their clothes atop their wagoons torn to shreds. Along with their being something that filled the air with a pugnent smell.
Because right infront of them were about maybe fifteen bodies around the place all of them with flys buzzing around their corpses. Because they were the missing carvans, as weapons were strung around the place. As some of them were half eaten with their flesh being rotten.
Weiss gaged slightly before plugging her nose from the smell.
"I'm not going to get used to this…it smells awful. But these poor people"weiss aid upset
"I know, alright look everyone split up and find any clues of what attacked them. Grab what you can of the dead. Bury them here for now then we'll send someone to grab them later. Show them some respect"dravan ordered as six of them got to work rounding up the bodies to bury them. Then lilu turned to their group.
"Alright midny, weiss and drav search the wagoons for anything left. Rest of you form a perimeter and watch out for anything"lilu ordered as they did just that. As weiss stepped forward to inspect the wagoons.
The heiress noticed them filled with bullet holes along with a few handcrafts arrows in them. But noticed some horseprints seeing them belonging to an already dead horse, a magisteic stallon dead like that. But as she began to search for a bit something caught her scent.
Weiss began to sniff in the air for a moment which midny noticed.
"You got something other than rotting corpses on your nose?"midny smugly aksed
"Kiddio now aint the time to joke about that. These people fought with honor, they deserve some respect"dravan reprimanded as she nodded
"Sorry…but you got something?"she asked again, weiss began to sniff for a moment because she smelled something else than dead. That and her ears picked something up a small nose from a nearby wagoons tipped over on its side. Then the sound of someone coughing.
"Over here i hear someone"weiss called out to their surprise as they rushed over. Moving the cloth it revealed a women with a similar outfit to the tribe members. But she had very pale looking skin with blood smearing the right side of her skull.
"Morgan!"dravan said to the women known as morgan who groaned heavily with very shallow breathing. Immediately lilu rushed over shocked kneeling next to her noitcing the wound and saw her right leg bandaged.
"Judging from her wounds she got a pretty nasty concussion and her leg is bleeding. Bandage needs to be replaced."lilu deduced
"Although what happened here? Who attacked your caravan"dravan questioned as morgan slowly opened her eye trying to sit up but cried in pain falling back down.
"Take it easy look tell us what happened then we can get you medical aid"weiss said before morgan eyed something on her hip that being a canteen of water. Weiss noticed this unscrewing it placing it on her lips giving her a drink.
Once she got her fill weiss pulled it back as the women got her voice back weakly.
"I..thank you…we…we were attacked by our…own tribe…i…they stopped us. Vernals got spys"morgan weakly said slowly to their shock.
"Spys…dammit alright what else happened? Do you know who attack noticed anything like what they look like?"lilu asked quickly which weiss found a little suspcious for some reason. Morgan swallowed panting heavily before passing out.
"She lost too much blood, lets get her back then question her once she gets better"dravan ordered as two tribe members began to get a makeshift stretcher set up. But near the woods right now the tree started to move as a tribe member noticed this.
Before they could call out something pierced them in the stomach as they cried in pain. All of them turned toward their direction to see a pair of blade like pinchers buried into their flesh. As a large bug like praying mantis like grimm standing at 8ft tall towered above them. It had a black bodie with bone plates on its back with red cirlclign it. As its arms had blade like apendages as they shined in the sunlight. With two big orange eyes.
"Reaper!" mideny called out as another on of them emerged from the woods as the first opened its manadable beginning to gorge on its prey in its grasp. Weiss pulled out mystenrar at the ready as dravan pulled out his axe with one hand. Kidney notched an arrow back as lilu spun her mace around at the ready. Falk joined them with his machine pistol out.
"So what with the giant bug!?"falk questioned shocked
"Its a reaper native to the anima here. Their troublesome at best with those arms of theirs"lilu warned as one slashed at a tribe warrior missing him but it sliced a tree in half with one swing.
"Noted alright, take on a dance partner each. Go!"dravan ordered as weiss, falk and kidney attacked one of the reapers. The grimm slashed at some warriors but they luckily dodged them as weiss quickly summoned a black glyph to stop it dead in its tracks. But it got stuck though it slowly moved forward as weiss grunted slightly.
Falk noticed this before rushing forward spraying bullets at its underbelly doing some damaged. As midny pulled an arrow from her quiver with a blue tip notching it back taking a deep breath before letting go. It went flying piercing the grimm right leg as it shattered into ice slowly crawling up its bug like apenedage.
The repear shriekd from the cold before slashing at falk who dodged rolled it switching to his short sword. Then lunge forward trying to stab in under its jaw but the grimm intercepted the attack smacking him into a nearby tree hard as it knocked his aura down alot.
"Falk! Are you okay?!"weiss called out desummoning her glyph before firing her gunblade at the grimm to draw its attention. The pilot got up shaking it off for a moment.
"I'm good…though that hurt alot"falk groaned wincing slightly from the impact. Midny and weiss soon decided to double team the grimm. Quickly dashing forward weiss summoned a few glyphs as it gave midny the opportunity to get above it. Using them like stepping stone she quickly drew two arrows one with a black tip the other with a yellow tip.
Releasing her hold on them they went into the grip as the gravity arrow pined it to the ground, while the electric arrow stunned it which is what weiss wanted. She quickly got under it with her sword burying it under is jaw which killed it as it instantly dropped dead turing into dust. Just as they defeated their grimm dravan and the rest defeated their.
"Everyone okay?"dravan aksed as falk gave a thumb ups.
"Alright good, we lost one of our warriors. We'll send word to retrieve them later but were burning daylight we need to head back to camp"lilu ordered as they all began to head back to camp as some tribememebers carried morgan on a stretcher.
Although back at camp right now was raven who was discussing something with charlie right now alongside vlad. As the three were in her tent with ryuu along with haru close by. But she seemed to struggle to pay attention it seems as she held her head with one hand.
But ravan was explaining what happened to vlad right now. As the bat faunus seemed heartbroken at what he was hearing right now, along with what he was seeing.
"Your telling me, my daughter best friend wasn't dead. But instead tortured and turned into an abomiantion. Forced by some parasite to make her commit terrible attrcitieis?"vald asked rather irritated
Charlie sighed"yeah…still can't believe that my mother in law was alive"he said with an upset look. Raven had a small one as well but kept her stoic nature.
"I know it hurts to hear that right now. But i've explained it to the others but to think that some of these people that are these grimm knights"Raven said before pausing looking at old picture of her, verona, qrow, lee and melissa together smiling from their younger days.
"To believe that they were once normal. Though you understand now why i'm allowing tarrus to stay here. He did a great honor for our tribe"she added as they all nodded at that. Ryuu sighed for a moment rubbing his temple hard.
"I really don't give a dam not gonna lie about these freaks"ryuu admitted earning soem glares from them.
"Ryuu…please don't be rude. Those kids that are here were good friends with one of them. That lazuli girl family…please don't be rude"haru begged as the man closed his eyes nodding.
"Alright my little maiden. Though….you said they had these syringes to stun them temporarily"he asked as on the table were the used syringes empty without anything inside.
"Yes and lately i've tasked a few of our tribemembers to figure out what their made of to replicate them. "Charile said before pausing with bad news.
"I take it your unable to replicate whatever these things are since we really aren't that technological advance living in the woods"vlad asked as he nodded.
"No from what i gathered several types of flowers seemed to be in the mix. Too many identify along with other chemicals. But…i can't begin to imagine how someone made these"he answered which disappointed them they lost the chance to defeat these grimm knight easily. Because right now raven was thinking what friends she lost in the last decade might be these grimm hybrid. But one cross her mind…her old friend summer.
That though was a shock to her making her think that witch probably took her and turned her into one. Which is something she doesn't want to happen,she wouldn't want her brother or niece to see her die. After all that work.
"That is a shame though we should be cautious right now. Because i'm getting rather suspicious that vernal has spys within our midst"raven stated
"We could but then she would have taken us down weeks their scouts are well hidden in the nearby tree line"ryuu suggested casting some doubt which raven noted for later.
"Yes although…how is your wife along with my daughter taking her death?"vlad suddenly asked to raven and charlie as the two closed up slightly on that. The doctor rubbed his hands together as raven pondered it for a moment.
"My wife is taking it rather hard, but that blackburn girl has been helping her with the grief. Both of them have helped each other. I can't thank her enough right now"charile answered as the man looked toward raven for her answer.
Raven opened her eyes staring at him"she rather hurt about it but dravan has consoled her the best he can. Along with her niece, the girl understands the sorrow of having someone turn into one of those things"she answered which he liked the sound of.
"I'm glad to hear that, though they should have come back by now. Look outside"vlad said gesturing to the open tent flaps as it revealed the orange sky out right now as the sun was setting in the distance. This worried raven for a moment as they decided to leave the tent.
Once they got out luckily she didn't have to worry long because emerging from the front gate of the camp was dravan and his group. As the tribe members were still hard at work though immesialty iliu had someone embrace her that being amara who kissed the women on the cheek.
"Oh your back dear…i take it you had a succes?"amara asked as lilu blushed slightly clearing her throat. As raven came over.
"We were found a survior in the caravan actually. Morgan"lilu said gesturing to morgan who graoend shifting around on the stretcher. Charlie noticed it nodding.
"Alright i'll treat her i'll tell you how shes doing later on her condition. Maybe we can get some answers on what happened"he said before guiding the two carrying the stretcher to follow him. But raven wanted to hear more and was relieved to see her daughter teammate alright.
"I take it you suffered some loses""ravan noticed them missing someone.
Dravan sighed heavily"We did one of our warriors. Though we came out mostly unscaved,but where in the name of remnant is my niece and the others?"dravan questioned. Until weiss turned around seeing lee group as the man had a sorrowful look across his face right now looking down. Mai was walking over since she saw their group.
"Hey uncle, i take it you all were successful in your inspection of the camp?"mai questioned before the man rubbed his face heavily.
"Rae…i…i…god dammit i'm sorry"lee somberly said to their confusion before weiss noticed that four faces where missing from his group which worried her.
"Wait…where are the other?!"weiss asked worried as her tail swayed around worried. This made lee shake his head sitting down holding his head as he swallowed hard.
"we…we didn't find any survivors. Vern and her bandits ambushed us…they took your niece drav. I'm sorry man"lee started making dravan eye start to twitch before roaring in rage punching a nearby wooden wall as his knuckles slightly blistered.
Falk fidgetted slightly"what happened to the others…feathers…jay…heck even tarrus"he asked which made amara and lilu have worried looks. The man sighed as some tears slipped away from his eyes shaking his head.
"They…they cut the log we were crossing to escape. They…fell down into the river…t-their gone..i couldn't save them. I'm so sorry rae"lee somebrly told as this hit them all like a freight train right now as amara fell to her knees tears streaming down her face.
"No…no…not my baby…not my little boy"amara said trying to comprehend whats going on as liliu weeped herself holding her. Falk shook for a moment with tears starting to stream down his face as he roared in rage beginning to punch a nearby wall several times.
"God dammit! Dammit! Dammit! Dammit! You weren't supposed to go out like that laz!"falk said as he kept punching as his knuckles soon turned bloody. Weiss had tears herself before pulling him back before hugging him as tight as she could.
"It…its okay…i…they might be alive…but…i..i..-"she coudlnt' find the words crying herself as he buried his face into her shoulder. Mai looked devastated sighing fighting the tears at that moment sniffing slightly. Raven closed her eyes upset to hear that.
"Did you find anything else their?"raven asked softly as he shook his head.
"I didn't…but um we should discuss this tomorrow morning. Its been a long day maybe come up with a plan for tomorrow"lee suggested as they nodded at that beginning to return to their lodging for the night. Though as lee separated from them a devilish smirk came to his face that his plan is working.
Though about an hour early walking through the woods was eria as the bandits pushed her along with four others forward. As their hands were binded as she looked rather annoyed since they have her bat. Though she wondered where they were taking her glancing around.
"Face forward you dam brat"a bandit stated firmly forcing her to move forward as she gulped nerovusly.
"This wasn't what i was expecting. I hope the others are alright…maybe their taking us to their camp. Maybe even my sister could be their"she thought with some hope.
After maybe twenty more minutes of walking they soon arrived at large wooden entrance with bandits guarding the front. Along with that with wooden spikes pointed toward the direction their walking away from. As they stepped inside she studied her surrounding.
That being a similar type of encampment to the branwhen camp but it looked alot more bandit like. Because their were cages big enough for people and faunus to stand in, because that what they held actually people in the cages with ruined clothes. But she also noticed how their were several of them armed to to teeth.
Noticing a tent resembling an armory close by along with passing by something, a hole in the ground with two handcraft stairs on opposite sides. Along with a fence placed above it making her wonder what that was. But noticed quickly a hole in the side of a mountain suggesting their more to the place. Though soon the bandits forced the five on their knees as shay stepped inside a large tent.
"You dam traditors you'll pay for betraying out leaders. This isn't how our tribe operates anymore"a female branwhen argued as the bandits around them laughed at her.
"Shut up your the traditors. Thinking we should be protecting people…verns got the right idea. Now shut your dam trap"a bandit said bashing her across the head with a pistol.
"Hey!"eria called out which made a bandit shove their knee into her back forcing her to the ground. As she heard the primming of a hammer, as someone placed a pistil behind her head.
"Quiet, i rather not damage the merchandise because the boss will probably sell you to your pa for some lien. Along with that schnee"the bandit said cheerfully. But soon enough shay emerged from the tent with vernal the bandits current leader.
But once she saw eria a destained look came to her face recalling what that brat did to her a while back.
"Well…well…look what the cat faunus dragged in"vernal stated taunelty as eria growled at her.
"I never thought that you lot would catch me one of those heriness along with some more traditors"she continly mocked as one of the tribe members clench their fist.
"Shut up! Your the traditors at least now we get gratitude for what we've done. Your ruining our tribe name"a tribemember fired back. This made vernal roll her ees before quickly placing her weapon against their skull. Before anyone could say anything she fired off a loud shot as the man fell down dead to the ground as blood pooled beneath his bodie.
Eria gulpd nervously right now"what are you going to do to us?"She asked as the women smirk at the moment grabing her by the chin making her face her.
"For starters gonna put you somewhere for safe keeping. Because tomorrow i have some questions for you. "Vernal said letting her go sauntering over to her tent glancing back.
"Through them in the pits and take that dam brat leg, along with her shoes i know their are blades hidden in them."she added to eria worry at her only other weapon. As insutrcted the bandits guided them away as shay took eria prosthetic leg along with her shoes.
Then after some time her along with one other were tossed in one cell that was underground hard. As she had her restraints removed for now but she coughed heavily as they slammed the metal door shut.
"You imebicles! When i get my hands on you i'll turn you into an icecile!"eria shouted though that caught someone attention.
"Eria?!"a female voice shouted behind her sounding familiar as she turned going wide eyed to see a certain red eyed girl with a leader of a certain team. But with another that being a women.
She seemed about thirty two tears old with short dark green hair and yellow eyes. She wears a dark green collared shirt with a dark brown corset that has a strap attached to a narrow belt around her thigh, black and gray striped trousers and black shoes. In addition she wears a dark brown fingerless gloves. The women was a faunus as she had patchy shady green scales all over her body and face.
She had an x-shaped scar on the left side of her head, black polsih on her nails but wore large muzzle on her mouth. But she noticed the three had bruises on their body but seemed relatively okay.
"Tock! You traditor what the hell are you doing here?"the tribemember asked to the women known as tock groaned.
"If i was a traditor i wouldn't be in here with you numb nuts"tock retorted making the man take note of that. But eria glared at one person being emerald who put her hands up.
"Heyya princess ice queen…man its weird to see you–"She was stop because without a leg eria growled dragging her down to the ground as she landed on her back. Then she began to shake her several times.
"You two idiots are going to pay for roping my sister into killing people! Where the hell is she and I swear to god if you got her killed. I'll snap your goddamn neck!"eria shriekd in rage as bashira and tock tore them off the girl who looked down with a guily look.
"Whoa, chill out snowy. Seriously i'm sure you're pretty mad at this girl"bashira said but she was more than mad.
"Oh i'm more than mad. My twin sister agreed to kill people because of you two idiots!"she cried in rage as emerald hugged herself balling up on the ground. She wanted to tell her the truth but coudln't. Bashira though process what she said.
"Wait…you and the others went out to kill people. Don't tell me team BRAS?"she asked as emerald nodded. Tock sighed making eria sit down to calm her down to explain their current predicament.
"Girly relax, look why don't we all just relax and ask some questions. How'd you end up here?"tock aksed as eria gain her composer.
"Bandits ambushed our group, we…we were sent to check on an outpost. But we noticed your weapons along with yangs. "Eria said before realizing that. Was her sister and the others with them.
"Wait is my sister and the others with you?"she asked teary eyed as the two eyed each other.
"No, we separated on some crossroads, they're probably in havan right now. Though uh we kinda got ambushed at that outpost. Been here for a week now"bashira replied
"And they took our scroll but we did have xiaolong with us. Though uh…couple nights ago we staged a prison break. She got away with a few others"Emerald answered not really liking the evil eye eria giving her.
"Alright enough of that but what the hell, lee told us you betrayed the tribe"the man asked pointing at tock who groweld at that accusation.
"Hes the dam traditor! That bastard been working with her from the start when we came to that outpost. He literally stabbed me in the back then handed us over to that traditor!"tock roared catching eria and him offguard which made her fear the worse.
"Oh no…lets hope the others figure out soon at least. But right now i'm tired because i rather not speak to one of you."eria said laying on the hard ground turning away as emerald felt rather hurt hearing that. Though they all took their spots in the cage for the night getting comfy for whats in store for them.
Although hours early where the crevice was as in a raging river right now was adam who was struggling to stay afloat. As he got shoved underwater for a while barely able to see with his one good eye. Though as he did he was worried about one person right now.
The faunus quickly got some air before deicidng to call out for someone"lazuli!"he called out then was shoved back underwater. This kept happening for a bit as he continuously called out for her. But was met by nothing though as he kept boping up and down. Soon enough something caught his eyes.
Lazuli who was struggling to stay afloat gasping for air as the water kept shoving her under water several times. Swimming down the stream with the current he soon caught of with her grabbing her by the arm as he pulled her in shielding her at that moment. They were hitting some rocks that caused him to grunt.
But they kept getting shoved under by the currents going down the stream at that moment. Lazuli was starting to loose air as they were shoved underwater as she held her breath the best she could, until as the two kept going down the stream something jumped into the water as it began to pull the two out.
After maybe ten minutes of struggling the two were pulled to shore at that moment as adam coughed some water up still holding lazuli. She kept hacking and coughing up water until undoing the embrace spitting water out of her mouth rattled right now.
"Oh…my god…i…thought we were going to die"lazuli said kissing the ground relief.
Adam groaned rubbing his head"well..we made it*huff* but who saved u.."he was stopped before someone pulled him to his feet by the collar. As he was met with one person that being a certain blonde with a scowl across her face.
"I'm not going to save the bastard who took my girlfriends arm, this is for her!"yang said before her fist collided with adam jaw sending him to the dirt hard. Lazuli quickly got up before rushing over standing in the blonde way as her eyes were crimson, she was surprised to see her.
"Whoa blondie chill out for a secon. I get your mad but…"she was stopped as she was shoved out of the way. Then she rushed forward to strike him again bare handed as luckiyl adam sword was attached to his belt. But he kept it sheathed dodging her strike before getting in a defensive stance.
"I suggest you calm down and let us desolate the situation"he asked but she charged foward with a fist striking at him again hard. This kept going on for a bit as they kept trading blows until suddenly someone called the two out.
"Blondie stop fighting that guy right now we got a problem!"a male voice called out as she stopped momentarily holding adam by the throat in a tight grip. Lazuli noticed three others with her as one of them was a girl. She seemed to be sixteen with tan skin wearing a tattered brown long sleeve showing some cleavage with blue jeans.
The other two where males the first seemed in his mid twenties with pale skin and similar attire to what the branwhen tribe wore. While the second appeared in their late thirites with a ruined business suit from the looks of it. As they pulled an alive jay as they were banging his stomach up.
"Oh so i should let a terrorist that took my girlfriend's arm, and get what he deserves!"yang growled as adam looked away hearing that. Lazuli granted before pulling her off as adam gasped for air for his lungs.
"Knock it off blondie hes on our side"lazuli stated making her look at her with a very strange look. Then she laughed at that statement
"Our side? He the leader of the white fang. Along with being a goddamn murderer who killed several inncoent people. He ruined the name of the faunus everywhere"yang said before glaring at him.
"You also cut off my girlfriend's arm , you psychopath! She probably dead because of you and…and its your fault!"yang cried in rage as tears began to well up. She really wanted to get back at him for possible killing her girlfirned but was he even here with her nonetheless.
Adam sighed"look…please let me explain why i am here. I know you don't trust me at all but i'm trying to move past what i've done"adam admitted as she crossed her arms for a moment as she decided to allow it.
"Alright start explaining then, because when your done either way your our prisoner"yang demanded as she though adam wasn't going to say anything but to her surprise adam began to explain everything as to why he was here and why he hasn't returned to the white fang. He also briefly explained his time in the SDC mines, but when she aksed about ollie. To her surprise he growled at that name.
Once he was done the people with her where even surprised but not the man in the business suit didn't even care.
"Do you see why i'm here. I;ve had doubts about what we've been doing. Blake was right about them…our voices can never be heard took me harming her to get it through my thick skull"adam finished which surprised her slightly but scoffed.
"She probably dead because of you"yang growled with tears as lazuli laughed slightly at that.
"No…no that chicks alive. She back in menagerie with now with a brand spanking new arm. From what the ice queens and me heard"lazuli said before yang was surprised by that before suddenly hugging the thief with tears of joy.
"Oh…thank you! Oh i'm so happy and relieved to hear that!"yang cried squeezing very hard on lazuli who gasped for air
"Alright…let me go…before i lose more air in my lungs"lazuli gasped as yang undid her embrace as she wondered about if her teammates is here.
"Wait weiss and eria are here?!"yang asked surprised because that faunus better not have touched a hair on that heiress head.
Adam rubbed his neck"they are their both in safe hands with your mother right now."he replied before the branwhen tribe member cleared his throat.
"Are we chopped liver over here or something?"he asked as yang groaned seeing jay with a fresh bandaged on his waist as his chest rose slowly.
"Fine quick introductions he's bert, the girl is roxy and lastly…suits over their is…saxon"yang said the last person name with malice. Roxy walked over with a small dagger in her hands.
"So i take it you know this girl?"roxy asked
"Yep we do though what are you doing out here blondie? Does that mean your sister along with the others are with you. From what we heard from the lancer knight?"lazuli aksed making the four stare at her for a moment.
"Wait…one of those freaky grimm freaks are out here. Oh don't tell me its still out here i hope to god its dead"bert said with hope which made both lazuli and adam stare him down. Lazuli quickly walked over slapping him across the face.
"Excuse me young lady that rather rude, their–"saxon was stopped
"Shut up melissa didn't have control of her bodie. Don't spit on an innocent women name"lazuli growled which caught yang offguard hearing that name.
"W-wait..aunt meli…but…but she died eight years ago. Your lying?"yang asked with shock before the two decided to reveal something to them. Quickly epxlaining that the lancer knight was melissa bine which shocked bert but yang especially who shed some small tears hearing that.
"So wait…they used to be people"roxy asked surprised
Lazuli nodded"yeah main reason why bull boy is here and not locked up in mistral. Did your mom a huge favor putting her out of her misery"she said as yang eyed him down staying silent for a moment.
"Alright…i still don't trust you drop your dumb sword. I'm holding onto it after what you did back at beacon."yang ordered as he reltned handing her wilt which surprised them how quick he was to cooperate. But then lazuli recalled the pack she had on her as it was soaked before pulling it off shaking it to dry to it off slightly.
Then she dug out pulling out ember cecilia"pretty sure these might suit your style blondie"she asked as yang went wide eyed smiling before slipping her old weapons on in relief.
"Their they are i knew i misplaced them somewhere. Though we gotta get moving for the night jay looking pretty hurt"yang ordered as they nodded at that as adam stayed in the front as the four guided the three somewhere. After maybe ten minutes they soon arrived at a cave but they cautiously stepped around a tripwire attached to a small bell from the looks of it.
Their was already a fire going with some sticks with game it seems already cooking. As they all sat down to dry off as they set jay down on the only sleeping bag they had it seems to saxon annoyance.
"Remove that dam filth off the bedding because we agreed i would get it tonight"he smugly said before they all glared at him which meant he hated faunus.
"Hey jerk the guys hurt your sleeping on the ground. Get used to it you snoopy asshole"roxy said with venom as saxon didn't argue before retreating to another part of the cave sitting down grumbling to himself.
"Okay rude though…what are you doing here? Aren't you and the others traveling with your uncle?"lazuli asked as yang sighed rubbing her eyes.
"We split up to cover more ground uncle and sis are probably at havan right now with jaune, nora, ren, mercury and rogue. But why are you here?"yang questioned as the two eyed each other seeing the three new faces here.
"I'll explain tomorrow though…but who was with you?"lazuli asked again
"Emerald and bashira. Though we got ambushed by uncle lee and some of his guys. Seems my good old uncle is with aunt vernal"yang said in disgust to the two who weren't surprise.
Adam scoffed"you got backstabbed as well. He chopped the log we were on which is why we were in that river."he said to her surprise hearing they were betrayed by that guy too
"You guys too? Seriously that bastard well since your here i take it you know where the camp is?"bert asked as they nodded. Lazuli quickly peeked outside to get a lay of the land but was quickly pulled back inside by roxy who had a scared expression.
"What's up, I'm just trying to get a lay of the land to see how far we are from the camp?"lazuli argued as the girl was shaking right now.
"It…it isn't a good idea…theirs something out their. It…it won't stop following us"roxy said stuttering to their confusion what she was implying.
"What is she talking about?"adam qeustioned
"Thats for tomorrow though with actually weapons we can fianlly defend outselves. I'm taking first watch"bert said as he had a small hunting knife in his hands. All of them began to get comfy for the night as bert kept watch. Though the entire time yang looked disgusted on who with them now right now for what he did.
As adam laid down with a somber look because he knew he'd cross path with one of blake teammates. But her new lover was something he wasn't expecting he just hopes that when he see blake again that she will take him after he defected from the white fang.
But lazuli fell asleep for the night wondering what had them so rattled about her going outside at night. Soon sleep found them though deeper and farther from the woods that same creature was on the prowl stalking the place as it held something in its hand that being a small bit of blonde hair. It growled in rage because it was a scent familiar to someone it fought long ago.
Though at the main camp right now where weiss was in some sleepwear as they cut a hole in the back of for her new feature. She was restless right now since she was still sharing a tent with raven. As she was still up right now mediaitng noticing her up as wel..
"I take it sleep is alluding you right now?"raven asked as weiss jumped slightly hugging herself tight at that moment.
"Ummm yeah…i…i'm just very upset hearing that…lazuli…might be dead. Eria might be alive…but…i might lose more of my friends"weiss cried slightly as her motherly instinct kicked in walking over placing a hand on her shoulder.
"It'll be alright, we'll save her i rather not see verona lose someone so close to her again. But…i'm sure you want to comfort your boyfriend"raven said teasingly slightly making the girl skin turn bright red as her tail wagged slightly. Weiss knew this was a losing battle.
"I..um…y-yes…could i maybe invite him over?"weiss asked as raven thought for a moment nodding yes. Quickly weiss got up walking toward his tent which wasn't long as falk was still awake right now in his pajamas that being a pair of black trunks with no shirt showing off his body as she blushed seeing that. He noticed her.
"Oh heyya snow angel…you need something?"he asked with a horased voice as she mustered up the courage slowly.
"I was wondering if you wanted to spend the night with me?"she asked embarrassed slightly which caught him by surprise as he sighed smiling slightly.
"Sure…lets hope the big and mighty raven branwhen doesn't tease us"he said as she smiled hoping she wouldn't. The two returned to the tent to a sleeping raven in her bed as weiss slipped under the cover as her and falk stared at each other for a moment. Before he pulled her in close as she leaned into it as the two drifted to sleep tonight for the lose of one of their friends.
Seems that the two respective group ran into their so called messenger with eria finding emerald and bashira live and well. Along with meeting tock as lee lied to raven about the others fates. While it seems adam ran into his ex new girlfriend with some escapees. The three mentioned are my own oc FYI. Thanks for reading!
