Chapter 27:New Arrivals
Later in the day summer was upstairs right now looking out one of the balcony overseeing the roaring hills of menageri and some of the lower markets. Its a peaceful place to be at but she could feel even just standing here their was a tension air. Almost everywhere she went something bad was happening and she now involved in it again. Because that dumb wolf dragged her over here before she could escape from the shock
As she stood their she heard the door open behind her as kali was their with a tray holding four cups. As with her was sienna along with nadia as the bengel held her new child in her arms.
"Well what do you think? I know for a fact you always wanted to see menagerie but to see you here i'm sure-"kali started but she spoke up
"You three didn't just come to offer me tea and speak about your home. If you came to talk then just talk"summer stated
Kali paused for a moment trying to find the words until sienna did speaking up.
"What happened to you? I saw an article that something bad happened in atlas. Said that you went missing? But now i'm hearing how some witch did it"sienne said rocking sorrel in her arms gently.
Summer sighed as she figured this was a losing battle as that meorie of that day played in her mind. She gripped her right shoulder feeling the cold steel their now instead of the warm flesh.
"Yeah because why were you in hiding? You should be ashamed of yourself from hiding from your own daughter"naida coldy said with a glare
"Dear calm down i know your mad but–"kali was stopped before summer put a hand up surpsignly turning to the women as silver eyes met dark blue.
"I hide myself for a good reason walker. I have my reasons"summer replied
"Then why are you hiding like some coward? Your own daughter is heartbroekn that your not even their. You aren't even their to watch her grow"nadia continued
Summer sighed remembering she had quite the temper back in the day"it…it was my fault qrow lost his leg….its all my fault"summer said sadly to their surprise
"Your partner? You mean qrow…how is it your fault?"sienna asked
"I…i thought they would be safe with tai when we went on that mission. It took us a week to get their and when me, raven and qrow dealt with the grimm. I know it was a stupid idea to handle that many but i didn't think about it at the time"summer started taking a breath
"But like i said early that was when she came….i thought we could fight her off with the best of our abilities. But we were already beaten before the fight…she…she cut off his leg right infront of me to taunt me and raven. I'm not sure what happened next i felt so much rage and i blacked out. When i woke up she was gone and so was my arm. "Summer replied
Nadia kept a glare"that doens't explain why you hide?"she said
"I hid because i made one mistake as a leader. That one mistake i shouldn't have made i couldn't keep my team safe. I failed them as a leader and a friend so i decided to hide myself away from the world. But that was when she sent those knights of grimm after me all over the world. One of them…"she paused shaking a little at the thought of her daughter running into one.
"One of them even promised to kill my daughter…..that they had someone watching her. So…i decided to keep up the game of cat and mouse to see if it was true. Always checked up on her over the years though. Saw her grow up….while i stood by the sdie"she admitted
Nadia coudlnt' believe what she was hearing. That she ran away from her team, her family all because she coudln't deal with the guilt of one mistake as a leader. To be honest it pissed her off to no end. Sure her son went through the same thing and eventually it costed his life and she still dealing with the grief heavily. But no matter the conseuqnces she get payback for her son death and the ones who did it.
Hearing this from her made no sense she was hiding for more than a decade but kept an eye on her from a distance? Without a secon thought nadia reeled her fist back and with all her might delivered a punch to the right side of sumer cheek sending her to the ground.
"Nadia! What are you–"kali was stopped as the tiger put a hand up. Rubbing the spot she hit
"What was that for?"summer asked with anger slowly boiling.
"For being a damn idiot that what for?"nadia said a growl in her voice before continuing
"So what you made one little mistake as a team leader and you blame yourself for that bird brain losing his leg. You know something sum…we all got alot to deal with right now!"nadia shotued at her
"I lost my parents back in beacon and it was terrible. You were their along with sienna and kali here consoling me through it the best they could. Amber even helped me which i'm hurt still hearing she dead too"she sayd contiuing to control her vice
Then placing a hand on her chest grabbing some cloth"so what you screw up sometimes and yeah down the line someone gets killed. I thought my son died eight years ago…in a fire after i left him home alone. I resorted to drinking…which i'm still cosndiered right now"she continued taking a breath staring straight at her.
"But do you know how heartbreaking it is to hear from your own daughter that she misses her own mother. Right now i…i hate how everyone calls my son…some dam monster…he wasn't a monster. They used my baby for their own gain"nadia continued keeping her composure as summer listened.
"God….my own niece is dealing with her siblings being separated from her. My own daughter hides it but is heartbroken her little brother is dead. Even his teammate and actually girlfriend yeah i said it some grimm hybrid had someone he loved two of em in fact. But that psycho had mental suggestions in his head….he wasn;t like the rest of them. "But right now were all here trying to support each other right now. I know i'm not the best mentally right now but heck…that wolf downstairs is honoring my son name using that dumb sword of his. It hurts so much to hear my own child…was experimented on by some mad sicneitst. But…i know this won't go away…it hurts when you make one simple mistake that cost you. "She said pointing in her face
"You gonna keep running like a coward or you gonna actually go see your daughter"she said
Summer looked away from her as she just arrived dealing with a whole decades worth of guilt but she thought about…she was right. What she was doing was selfish she hated how declan dragged her here. But part of her wondered how her teammates raven and tai were doing. How her husband is doing…along with her niece and especially her daughter.
She looked at the tiger with a answer"your…right…god..you sound just like your niece that lazuli girl"She replied surprising them as it clicked with the women
"Oh..that…that little brat lied! Why the heck did she do that?!"nadia asked surprised
Summer chuckled"simply i begged her to keep my little girl safe…though sorry for what i said early"she apolgozied
"Well i'm sorry for punching you in the side….but don't talk ill of my kid again. Got it"nadia wanred as she nodded as sorrel was cooing right now as sienna eyed the huntress walking over handing the baby to her.
"Khan stop it i can't–"She was stopped as kali ineturpted her.
"Oh stop it just hold him because i'm sure your surprised hearing sienna had another child. But you look so moopy right now where the girl with the happy go lucky attitude, friends with almost anyone"kali said making summer blush slightly.
Nadia smirked pressing"man remember how we all met for the first time years ago. What was the frist thing we all did?"nadia asked
"I am not playing this right–"summer was stopped

"Then we all get talking for a bit sharing view on faunus and stuff. Then we all decide to have lunch with everyone with each other teams"nadia added
"Yeah i remeber"summer said smiling a little as she placed a figner near sorrel as he gripped it with his little hands
"But i also rember the very strange crowd we were in. two brothers who weren;t related a team with three faunus and one human. Well mine with two former bandits and a shy cat with a even shyer blonde"she added
"God you know i had my reason you know"kali said rubbing her neck
"What that you were worried about making a fool of yourself. Wasn't your mom some traveling gsypie or something"sienna asked
"Yes but well right now we all are having a wide array of challenging ahead of us..though lets go make dinner for tonight. Because i need to tease my daughter and her new girlfirned."she said skipping away to their confusion
"Girlfiend? Who is she…ohhhhhh"nadia said knowing who having a teasing look herself as they went downstairs with summer glancing at her sorrel thinking of her daughter for a moment
Hours past as everyone was in the dinning hall right now though something was very different that being jazmine and neo being very close to each other now. Which didn't go unnoitce as all eyes were on the new couple which they felt them staring
"So….anything you wanna tell us right now because you two are awfully close to each other"Colt said kwnoginly as piper had finally calmed down sitting close to the two playing with her silverware.
Blake smirked slightly"yes…because its very weird how my little sister and the mute here are so close"she said with a cat like grin.
Sun drank some water pointing the obvious out"you two a thing now or something?"he asked as neo went completely red faced as jazmine went comply flush as a tomato right now as aruna laughed at the two.
"Oh…oh my god i knew it…oh…you two both do swing for girls. Ha!"aruna teased as jazmine mouthed something at her
"Okay miss i liked xander"she mouthed making her blush hoping no one saw that but someone did mainly being katherine who was surrpsied by that. But kept her peace not wanting to think about the bad things right now.
Ghira chuckled slightly rubbing his youngest head gently
"Well its nice that you found someone dear. But well i wsn't expecting a former criminal though she has done some good for the community as of late"he said as junior laughed at her a little. If her father was here he would be having a grand time since his own daughter is dating faunus royalty right now.
"Well kid got her old man charm to her despite not being his. If torch was here he'd be messing with you along with your sister. Though you won the bet"he mentioned peeking their interest as kali along with sienna walked out carrying some bowls dn utensil for them. Along with ilia carrying a large pot of soup in hand right now.
With summer placing a tray of drinks out as well as they all got seated beginning to eat making some curious what they heard
"Bet? What are you talking about what exactly is this bet your talking about?"sun asked intrigued as jazmine hoped she didn't ask her out for some dumb bet
Zoey snickered"oh nothing her and my cousin made a bet on who would get a boyfriend or girlfriend first. Short here won first who ever gets one next wins….loser gotta pay them 1000 lien"she said to their amusement
"Goodness that just funny….now i'm recalling how nix and ambrosie made dumb bets with you and my husband"lisa said as declan laughed at that for a moment.
"You mean how diego made a bet how he could do a handstand for three days straight. Almost made it well if those two brothers spat didn't ruin it resulting in him having to well…run around the academy in his birthday suit"he said pounding the table laughing as did she making nadia laugh thinking about her son for a moment but pushed it back for now.
"Though here we go get your fill for tonight. But for you summer were will you stay for tonight?"kali asked as they filled their bowls for a bit as summer eyed piper for a minute with a upset look
"Well umm if its fine with you miss…could i stay with you in your home. "She said to mari who eyed the women down right now as did the rest
"Why do you wanna stay with her all of a sudden right now? What you gonna hurt a little girl?"yahto asked annoyed right now presenting his tomahawk on the side as onxyia growled at her a little. But it was the opposite.
"No just…well…they might have bounties on grimm hybrids if you turn them in. someone here might want to turn her over to atlas…she might be locked up."summer answered as that didn't even click with them till now.
"Uhhh….oh my god she is right and that slipped our minds. Do you think any huntsman here might want to take her like some paycheck?"aruna asked worried as piper kept humming for a bit before titling her head laughing pointing at summer
"You have pwretty eyes like red ridding hood."she innocently said as summer went wide eyed at that hurt hearing about her daughter. As onxyia ruffled her head slightly
"How about this you can sleep their but if we find out you did anything to her and your not here. We'll tell ruby what you did"onxyia threatened sweetly as she played that card as the women nodded seeing the resemblance now to declan. They cotninued their meal for the night returning to their homes for the night. Though right now what they didn;t know that on the horizon right now was a ship approaching the island from afar with some passagerngers that may be some familiar faces.
But although all the way by the coastline right now in a small little alcove was duke. Along with about eleven of his faunus breahten and sisters apart of the white fang. They had a small base here with some tents along with some makeshift walls around the place as the large brute was staring into the distance right now as one of the fang approached him
"Brother. Is something wrong because we are still waiting on highlander promise of allies. We need to dismantle the traditrious brothers and sister allied with the cheifitans and khan"the female meber voiced her worry
Duke stood their grunting slightly before gesutring to something as she glanced in the distance. To the white fang member surprise she looked up seeing about four bullhead along with two cargo ship approaching right now. Immediately she drew her weapon
"Everyone be prepared we might have company"she ordered as alot of the faunus members grabbed their weapons ready for a fight. Though as they did duke put an arm up telling them to stop as she hesitated but whistles moving her hand in a circular motion as they lowered their firearms
The bullheads soon landed first as the first one their landing pad opened as the occupants stepped out. That being sangie who was smiling as she walked down the ramp as a her soldiers began to pile out of the bullheads at that moment making way for other troops in their ranks
Immedialty the two cargo ships landed as well as they opened to reveal some of the knuckeldsuters with them along with more crimson talon. But they began to unload several things that being boxes of supplies. As some of them began to reinforce the perimeter as a few of them began putting barbed wire out near the walls.
"Set up some barbed wire over on the west and south side. Along with that get some .50 cal turrets on the main entrance and block off the path behind us. I want land mines back their and someone watching it with a sniper twenty for seven. Move it double time"Sangie issued her orders as the soldiers were doing just that as a few of the thugs were doing the heavy lifting as she approached the faunus with a slight disgusted look.
They stood their staring at each other until eventually someone spoke up"So….are you the reinforcements brother ollie sent to aid us in stopping the traditors?"the female faunuas asked as sangie eyed duke
"You let your subordinates do the talking for you or do i need to blow her brains out"she said reaching for her side arm as duke shook his head grunting confusing her.
"Is that a grunt for yes or no?"she asked before the faunus lifted down his shirt to reveal that his throat has an SDC ten pointed snowflake symbol on it from the schnee dust company. But it also had some scars on their suggesting his voice box is damaged
"I'm sorry but our captain can't speak you see he got into an accident in the SDC dust mines. Some guards thought it be funny to mess with him before he got his brand. He used to speak out against the mines back in atlas. Although they thought it be fun to silence his voice for our people"she explained as the brute of a faunus grutned in approval as sangie looked annoyed she has to deal with this but shrugged her shoulders
Holstering her side arm she walked with the two"Well thats just fine because well i got plenty of bodies here to help us take down all these faunus and their little resistance"she said making the two white fang members overjoyed
"Then lets move in now and catch them while their offguard. They;ve been focused on rebuilding that dam house the chieftain lives in"the female white fang said in anticipation but sangie wagged her finger at her
They approached the small command tent with a map of the island along with some key figures their mainly being ghira and his family. Along with a picture of blake their along with onxyia their on the table as well with sienna and her family on it.
"No no no…we can't just rush in blindly right now. Because for starters were waiting for someone"sangie said to the two confusion
"What do you mean by that? You have gunship and several soldiers armed to the teeth. Why can't we just attack now? Who do we need to wait for extaclty and why, what other orders does the high leader have did he approve this?"She asked which annoyed sangie immensely but she was her only speaker for this dumb mute brute of a faunus as the women sighed but had a sadistic look on her face.
"Were getting help from a grimm knight…the one known as conri designation as alpha. Helped started the fall of beacon might as well help with the fall of a resistance group"Sangie said evily to the two shock as the female faunus was absolute terrified right now as duke grunted int surprise since he couldnt really talk right now on the account of his voice being destroyed.
Sangie didn't know what he said but laughed'extactly this will be fun but as for orders well…."she said leaning back in the chair placing her hands together smirking
"We wait for him to arrive then we begin the assault on the dam village of faunus and burn it to the ground. Along with that your boss wants that dumb wolf alive along with that cat girl if you can. Though heres the shocker you know how they said two of the grimm knights are dead?"she asked as the two faunus eyed each other as the female faunus figured it out quickly.
"One of them is alive…wait is it that one ollie mentioned…was on that teadtirous wolf team?"she asked as the women nodded because they were going to plan the downfall of this entire island and wait patiently for a certain person to arrive here to welcome them to the destruction of this island just like they did with vale days ago.
It was a new morning over the island of menagiera right now as everyone was up in their repscitve homes. Though right now in zoey house it was quite busy right now as everyone was starting to get up to start their day. As right now zoey was doing her best to make brekafast but seemed troubled by something by her current mannerisms it seems.
Though her homes consisted of a simple little house that was one story side on some stills riaisng it above the ground a little with a rampway outside. Along with that she had a small living room in the house with a couch facing the wall along with a coffee table in the middle of the lovingly home. As their was a decent sized tv their with a gaming system below it with some movies and cases their as well.
But their was also several pictures dotting the walls in the home as well. Along with one of them being a picture with her mom and brother at a younger age in the middle of the winter building snowman together. Along with another of her other cousin at a certain swan styles thief birthday. Their was also one of her and her cousin older now for her annoying lynx of a cousin birthday when he got that precious motorbike of his.
But for the rest of the house it consisted of several different rooms mainly she had three guest rooms with blake and jazmine sharing one. Ghira and kali sharing another while the other were for those who ever stayed the night. Along with that her room which seemed to have more space for two for some reason. While their was a kitchen that was simple with a oven and stove along with a fridge containing food that she had on stock. Along with a symbol dining table with enough chairs for everyone to enjoy a meal together.
Though helping her make breakfast today was junior who stopped by mainly because he was here to discuss business with ghira along with lisa right now. As the women joined them for today breakfast mainly cosniting of some eggs, toast and some sausages as kali finished setting another plate out for her daughter jazmine who was deep in thought.
"So i think today we should be getting close to done with the repairs and renovations of the house. If were fast enough we could get it done in oh i don't…a few days"junior said to the disappointment of kali
"Thats nice to hear but quite frantically i'm getting very sick of having to share such a small house with all of you"kali voiced her annoyance
Ghira chuckled slightly drinking some coffee for a moment"well dear time takes effort though i still can't thank you enough for your help. It means alot that your helping rebuild my home and i owe you a great deal for that"he said as junior smirked at the possibility thinking of something
"Really? Well….if i get a favor in return who knows maybe someday i might wanna open up my own club here. Got one back in mistral in the capital actually might be useful if you need some more guns"junior said peeking blake interest hearing that right now
"That might actually work…do you think we should discuss this with nadia along with aunt sienna. And maybe have miss rose assist us with this for when we decide to leave for havan today."she asked as her father smiled seeing that eagerness at her age.
"It might work though i don't know when that ferry is suppose to arrive. Although it could wait for tongiht since well my youngest has a date for today"ghira stocily said as jazmine blushed bright red at that moment groaning laying her head down on the table embarrassed her dad teasing her now
"Not you two! Seriously i'm already teased enough by mom but now you. Whats next cousin and auntie?"jazmine cired in embarrassment as kali grinned playing with her daughter ears at that moment right now smiling.
"Oh come on now its not my fault i like to mess with people. Especially my little girls who both found partners probably. But…"she said before eyeing blake who stared back knowing that look all too well right now.
Blake sighed placing a hand on her cheek"let me guess…your going to ask if–"she was stopped
"When will you two give me grankdis because i think it'll be soon"kali cooed making both of her daughter feel immense embrasmsent from her antics right now. As blake blushed slightly because it been like this for a week straight while jazmine groaned laying her head down as they kept talking for a bit. Though with zoey right now her mind was elsewhere
Mainly being because she been trying to keep a straight face for the last week about the news of her baby brother being gone. Because it hurts very much that she lost him again after only seeing him for a few days. Then in an instant immediately in two weeks she see him and his team moping the floor through the vytal festival. Hearing he had two girlfriend was quite a shock to her but was happy for him.
But mainly her mind was drawn to the day that she lost her baby brother during that day. During the day of the fire when she and her mom left to do some arrand but came back to their own home abalzed. Which just made her worry about one person that was in the home at the time that being her baby brother. They tried to bust in that day but once they did the whole place was in flames at that moment. She had to pull her mom out of the way before the flames got her and she regretted it immensely at times. Because after the fire department came putting the flames out they tell them they found someone. But instead of her baby brother being alive it was a burnt body that just broke her that day.
For an entire year she grieved for the little brother that wasn't even blood related to her right now. And right now its hurt even worse to see the news saldnering his name right now saying he was some sort of monster which just pisses her off day and day hearing it. But right now she just doesn't know if she could do it again as she was staring at a photo close by that being her and her brother both sitting next to each other. She was holding him on his lap as he hugged her as the fox was lost in her own world.
The women kept focused on it until junior glanced over to see the food in the pan she was using on fire right now.
"Kid are you trying to burn your place down!"he shouted catching the rest of their attention to the flames as quickly kali rushed over dragging zoey away from the flames. As junior reached down below the sink pulling out a fire extinguisher.
Then he pulled the pin aiming the nozzle before pressing down covering it in foam as the entire kitchen counter was covered by the fire was put out. Turning off the stove zoey just stood their staring down at the ground right now not even phazed
"Okay this isn't weird…ummm hey you good over their?"jazmine asked waving to her as she didn't respond which cocnenred them as junior walked over snapping his fingers infront of her a few times
"Heyya kid you doing okay over here. Because you seemed trouble"junior asked worried as soon zoey blinked shaking her head rubbing her tired eyes for a moment sighing as she had small dark circles under them. Because she hasn't been sleeping the best either.
"Oh uh yeah wasn't paying attention is all thinking about what to do today is all. Mainly if i'm going to train the troops or help prepare to load supplies on the ferry for when we leave for havan"zoey answered but kali noticed her tone sounding upset as she placed a hand on her shoulder
"Dear is everything alright because you don't sound that happy….are you sure everything is fine?"kali asked worried
"I noticed it too look why don't you take the day off. I'm sure saber could handle oragnaizing things without your help for one single day. Because your still grieving dear"ghira voiced his worrie as the fox growled right now clenching her fist.
"I'm fine….seriously i understand your my boss. But this is about my family not yours because right now i'm fine. I'm totally fine with everyone talking terrible about my baby brother whos dead…again"she said witha growl in her town as they realized what this was.
Junior sighed leaning on the counter grabbing a towel to clean up the mess""look kiddio i know it hurts that your going through this again. I'm more shocked than you when torch asked me to have ross test your brothers blood for you. Almost had a heart attack seeing a ninienty percent match"he said which peeked some interest for a moment
That made blake confused why it would be a ninienty percent match though the thought of him having grimm blood made sense but she just watned to ask.
"Wait…what was the other ten percent? Let me guess grimm blood?"she asked as the man nodded though sun looked at his current homeowner that let him stay here sighing.
"Come on foxy you can talk about it. Seriously your with friends"sun said but that was when zoey froze up hearing her be called that as a memory played out of her little brother calling her the same thing as she growled at the faunus.
"You don't get to call me that! Call me that again and i'll break your dam jaw you stupid monkey! Maybe if you weren't a dam coward and isntead convinced my brother to head to the airdocks he would be here still! And not dead!"zoey shouted as her tail fluffed up heavily as this made sun jump back hearing that as he looked down as they stared at her for a moment before the fox realzied her mistake.
Without a word zoey rushed out of the door with tears visible on her face as she ran out of her own home.
"Wait miss vix! And…shes gone….that poor girl. I know shes very hurt about the loss of her brother but were just trying to help her"kali said upset as blake sighed looking down
"That is quite upsetting but why did you freak out by him calling her foxy extalcty?"blake asked confused as sun himself was confused but just felt hurt hearing that from the girl right now. The monkey faunus did his best but he kept telling him hes got this and needs to find his teammates.
"Don't know maybe she doens't like being call that or something"Sun stated but it was actually the opposite.
"Nah…that was what her little brother called her when they were kids. Always kept following her around wherever she went calling her foxy or big sis alot."junior sadly correct to their shock that why she flipped out as sun looked at the door walking toward it
"I'll go check up on her and apologize…you guys hang back while i deal with this alright. Oh and uh have fun planning out your date jaz"sun said leaving them as jazmine blushed slightly from that as ghria stood up dusting himself off for a moment.
"I shall take my leave as well and head back to the house to handle the repairs for now. Blake be a dear and go talk to the ferry owner of the ship. Sienna and declan planned to meet me their but i want to make sure everything at the house goes smoothly. It would be a great start to your role as a leader"ghira said as blake thought for a moment nodding standing up placing her plate in the sink.
"I will and don't worry i won't let you down"blake said as they all left going their separate ways which left kali and her youngest as the older women smirked in her daughter direction scaring her a little right now
"Alright now i'm going to help you get dressed up pretty for your date with that possible griflrined of yours"kali said excited right now as jazmine regretted hearing that but was actually excited for today right now wondering what she'll be wearing today.
Although over at the blair residents right now slowly getting up right now to start her day was a certain wolf faunus. Mainly being onxyia who was still asleep in her room right now as she groaned a little in her sleep. But right now the sun was shining in her face as she tried to avoid it as it was directly in her eyes right now.
But eventually she gave up seeing it was a losing battle as she opened both her dual colored eyes sitting up yawning a little stretching her back out until it popped statifysing her. Although last night she didn't get the best night of sleep still even talking with her mom about that nightmare she had yesterday. They keep just getting worse and worse, and her emotions weren't helping at all. Because she was worried sick about eria since she heard she was kidnppaed by some gangster along with eria. Then hearing about rogue going on some murder quest for everyone they lost even hurt more because her heart can't handle all of this right now.
The worst was her girfirned velvet, she was all the way in menagerie while she half way across the world in vauco. Suffering from harrassment and bullying from people since gwen told people she was dating zane. Which must have gotten her abused alot but from what sun told her cardin and coco are watching out for her which she appreciates. But soon she got out of bed deciding to take a quick shower to start her day right now.
Walking over to the bathroom she opened it revealing a very simple shower and bathroom set up. After disrobeing and placing the dirty clothes in the basket close by she turned the shower on waiting for the right temperature. Then quickly she put a hand out flinching a little from the hot water but slipped under it adjusting to it.
First she began to wash her body down from the dirt and grim from the last few days since she hasn;t been showering that much. Mainly because she either too tired to do it or she just doesn't feel like because she doesn't want to. Though as she washed away all the dirt feeling very refreshed right now she got to work on washing out her hair grabbing a bottle of shampoo. Squeezing the cold liquid in her hands she began to clean her hair up getting it nice and soapy as she soon enough titled her head back washing away the dirt and making her hair feel a little soft. Though as she got cleaned up she felt something on her neck glancing down seeing the laughing skull necklace still around her neck. Examining it she must have forgot about it while getting into the shower as she just held it in her hands staring at it.
The wolf sighed kissing it as she sighed"i miss you…i hope your somewhere better right now"she said before getting dryed off leaving the shower as she got changed in her room. Then walked downstairs to start her day though she wasn't really feeling hunger right now. Once downstiars she noticed her mother laying on the couch right now clutching something. That being a picture frame.
Mainly being a picture frame of her parents with her and xander in the frame. Her dad was in the back with her mother standing by his side. While she was kneeling down smiling in the photo since her mother wanted her in the front. As next ot her was xander smiling softly in the picture as her mother was hugging the frame for dear life. But noticed she was fast asleep right now but crying in her sleep muttering to herself.
"Please come back…not my little boy….please not my baby"katherine muttered in her sleep as onxyia frowned seeing that before grabbing a blanket placing it over her mother softly sighing seeing this. It hurt seeing this happen to her mom but she decided that getting some air sounded nice.
Leaving her home she just began to walk the streets of menagerie right now with no destiny in mind. She just wandered the streets in her own world right now thinking of how she got here right now. But started to recall the one time that her own baby brother stuck up for his big sister while she got bullied.
Eight years ago.
It was eight years ago on the island of menagerie as the faunus were enjoying themselves right now. But all of them were just going through their day with a worry or care in the world right walking the streets was a younger onxyia wearing a black skirt with a white t-shirt with her symbol on it. As holding her hand was a younger xander wearing some blue shorts with a black shirt as they were walking to the nearby playground near their home.
As they kept walking xander eats twtiched around"big sis were are we going? Isn't daddy going to be mad?"he asked innocently as she shook her head
"No i know where the playground is. Momma always took this path with me when me and cousin play"she replied as he nodded following her for a bit more. Until after turning a corner they saw the playground in sight walking over but suddenly a stone hit the young girl in the head as her head throbbed a little. Looking over their were a group of a faunus kid with stones while one of them had weasel ears on his head.
"Go away you freaky faunus! We don't want you here this is ours!"he shouted as they laughed as he hocked another stone at her head as she winced from it before moving xander behind her to protect him. The other kids began tossing stones and rocks at her as well.
"Yeah go away your a mistake for a faunus!"a faunus kid shouted hocking a stone at her nailing her in one of her ears
A female faunus laughed pointing at her"look at she has two different colored eyes she even more of a freak!"she called out tossing another stone as the younger onxyia just fought the tears but focused on shielding her brother the entire time. Though eventually he broke free of her grip before putting himself infront of his older sister.
"Leave my big sister alone you meanies!"xander demanded but the kids just laugh at him as the weasel fuanus walked forward and shvoed him to the ground as he fell flat on his back.
"Shut up twerp because your related to a fre–"he was stopped someone rushed over punching in the face sending him to the dirt. That being a younger girl who was her age as she had tan skin with a very long sabertooth tail wearing a purple tanktop and grey shorts.
"Leave my cousin alone or you deal with me"she warned as the kids were about to fight her until running away as the girl crossed her arms in victory
"Ha! Your scared of me"She said but a voice laughed behind her.
"More like you dear old man sweetie"a male voice said revealed to be the sabyr grimm in some blue jeans wearing a black tanktop along with a maroon colored vest with white fur trim on the top. Though without his signature bleached white skin instead tan skin with his bejewled tooth. Though diego immediately walked over seeing that onxyia had a bloody forehead sniffing and crying to herself.
"Why do i have two traits…i'm a freak"she cired as the younger xander hugged his sister despite having a bruise on his cheek.
"Big sis isn't a freak….thank you for protecting me"he sweetly said making her cry hugging him tight not wanting to let go. Promising to be stronger for her little brother.
Present
Opening her eyes she sighed seeing she was near the port smiling a little wondering if the ferry arrived. Maybe velvet came to visit which sounds nice, as she decided to check it out. But as she did soon enough a stone was lugged at her head as she yelped covering her head.
"What the…'she said before someone called out
"Well…well…well if it isn't the freak with dual traits. How you been you ugly faunus"a male voice said as she knew who that belong to turning to their direction.
It belong to a faunus who was maybe nineteen years old as he had fair skin along with having a skinny build to him. Along with that he had light grey eyes as his hair was dark brown with a patch of facial hair on his chin. While he wore some simple blue jeans with a white t-shirt underneath it under a grey bomber jacket. His fauns traits was a pair of weasel ears atop his head with three others with him
The first a boy close to her age that being a large boy who was tall with a husky phsycique to him along with having very tan skin. Along with that he wore some brown pants with a dark green t-shirt on showing off his large arms, but he had brown eyes with light green hair atop his head. While for his faunus trait though it wasn't noticeable was a toad sac on his neck.
The second was a girl close to her age but she had light skin complexion to her along with having a set of light blue eyes to her. As she had a slender build to her she had a modest bust to her. As she wore some black legging withs white charater shoes with a pair of blue jeans shorts. For her shirt she wore a dark blue crop top underneath a flannel shrit colored red unbutton to show off her chest and midriff. While she had dark blue hair that was long but wore a beanie on her head with a couple eyebrow piercing and ear pieircng. Her faunus trait was a pair of wasp wings on her back that buzzed around.
Finally the last was also a girl close to the frist boy age as she had a darker skin complexion to her with bright orange hair. Along with that she had dark purple eyes with her wearing some tan tensis shoes along with a pair of black jeans as she sproted a lime green top with a jacket over it cut in the middle colored dark grey. As her faunus trait was a rat tail that was long.
"Yeah how you been freak. Someone told me that dumb brother of yours died heard he was a terroist too"the mouse faunus taunted as onxyia growled slightly at them
"Seth…i am not in the mood today for your crap. Because seriously…i don't have time for this"she said but had a visible upset look as the weasel faunus known as seth chuckled at her.
"Nope! Because your so pathetic seriously heard you gave some dumb speech uniting all the faunus here. They only did it out of a pity for a freak like you"seth spat back making her back up hugging herself placing a hand on the necklace her boyfriend wore.
The wasp faunus laughed before tossing a ball at her nailing her in the side as she winced a little stumbling to the ground onto her knees.
"Ha! Two points seriously your lugging around two weapons and a measly ball took you down"she spat as the wolf was actually very tried right now as seth walked over standing above her with a taunting look
"Your so weak….seriously it sickens me still seeing your ugly mug here. I mean who would ever love someone like you only a monster would love you"seth taunted making her go wide eyed trying to not cry at that moment. Though his taunting was soon cut short as the sound of footsteps could be heard before seth was clocked in the jaw sending him in the dirt.
"Leave her alone you jerks! Because guess whos back in town and will knock your skulls in like i did when we were kids"a female voice said as the mouse faunus grabbed seth glaring at her as the four ran with their tails between their legs. Onxyia looked up as a hand was offered to her by someone
That being a girl her age as she had tan skin along with a set of deep blue eyes as she had an athletic build to her. But she wore a dark blue jacket, white blouse, gold scarf and matching knee length dress with black tights and high heeled boots. She wears a silver pin over a hat that is a spear emblem. Sticking out the back of it was a long sabertooh tail as onxyia smiled with tears who was infront of her.
"Sombra! Oh its so good to see you again i…i missed you so much"she said crying into her shoulder as the sabertooth known as sombra patted her back
"Same here though lets hurry up and grab a bite to eat i'm starving we have so much to catch up on"sombra said as the wolf liked the sound of that seeing her old friend.
Though right now at the docks was declan along with sienna by his side. But their was also blake who was waitngin patiently to greet the captain of the ship as sienna was rocking sorrel in her arms right now.
"I can't believe were finally gonna have a way to get to havan now. Next stop their and we can stop the fang"declan cheered as his tail wagged
Sienna chuckled"i know but dear isn't the name of this ship very familiar to you. The jackalope"she pointed out as blake nodded as soon enough down the gangway walked down a familiar sea captain as he tiped his hat to some familiar faces.
"Well button my stars. It seems were meeting once again even though its only been a week"buckley greeted bowing to them
"Its nice to see you again captain buckley. I take it your trip to mistral went alright having to deal with that nasty racist who almost costed me my little baby here"sienna said presenting sorrel as the man chuckled at her for a moment singing
"Actually once we got their…that women compensated me for the damages. Sent some money to the people we lost on our way here. She seemed remorseful after that wolf gave her quite the tongue lashing"buckely said peeking declan interest
"My daughter gave a racist a tongue lashing. Atta girl knew she had her old man blood in her"declan said with a proud look though a couple voices piked up from close behidn the man
"Of course you would say that dec….god your as stoic as usually old friend"A female voice spoke up
"Come on nix the guys just like that were lucky taupe aint her. Next thing we know these two are arm wrestling or fighting with someone like they did back in the day"a male voice spoke up as declan eyes widden turning around before smiling like no tomorrow
That being because two people he was familiar were here the first benign a women in her late thritirs as she had very pale skin to her. Along with that having a toned build to her as she had a small scar on neck on the right side. Her hair was long coloed black like midnight styled into a braid sloped on the right side with yellow eyes. Her attire consisted of a pair of olive combat pants as she sported a long sleeve crop top shirt colored black while she wore armor on her shoudlers with some on her biceps. Along with pouches lining her waist with a large quiver of arrows on her back wearing some simply black knee high boots.
Her weapon was a pair of daggers that seemed to connect
While the second was a tall man with a medium build to him as he had fair skin with red eyes. As he seemed in his late thirties as well along with sporting three slash scars across his face but wasn't blind. His attie mainly consisted of a pair of brown dress pants as he wore a simple golden icior colored long sleeve shirt under a stylized copper colored jacket with several pouches on it. As he sported a tan vest with pouches over it along with wearing some simply dress shoes.
As his faunus trait was a set of owl wings on his arms with spaces on his jacket to make room.
His weapon was a large staff like object
Declan hugged the two as his tail wagged"amrbosie! Nix! Good to see you old friend how you been?"he asked excited as amrbosie chuckled
"Been better we both got done with a missions in mistral and wanted to see you actually"he replied
"Hes right how the kids doing your daughter find someone yet? And your son come back home yet?"nix asked as declan stood their for a moment trying to fight the tears but they broke free as he began to sob as the two didn't even need an answer before hugging their old friend and teammate close
But with zoey she was walking toward the docks right now with sun close behind her calling out to her.
"Yo zoey! Hold up i'm sorry that i called you that i didn;t know it–"he was stopped as she turned back growling at him with tears still present
"Shut up! I don't want anyone around me right now…i…i need to be alone for a bit. Because seriously you don't understand what i've been through right now kid. "Zoey growled with tears on her face still as sun looked down sighing
"Look i know your hurt about the guy being gone but…look i…uh tried…my best but he was too stubborn. I'm so sorry i didn't tell you when i got here i just cou–"he was stopped against as she shoved him back
"I don't care! Seriously leave me alone right now because i do not need you here trying to make me feel good!"she shotued as her tail thrashed though from behind someone placed their hands on her chest groping it sqeezing it even
"Honk honk"a female voice said behind her as the fox moved the hands away growling in anger for did that.
"Alright pervet! I need some stress relief might as well punch you in the face then arrest you!"she shouted in rage as the said pervet giggled
"Aww foxy but i wanted to see you after being apart for so long"a female voice said belonging to a twenty four year old women. With white hair that reaches her shoulder with yellow eyes sporting a hourglass frame to her. As her attire mainly considered of a white long sleeve crop top that shows off stomach. Over the undershirt she wears a dark blue slim notch lapel long vintage velvet trench coat dress. The inside of it is lined in silver. She also wears a icy blue thin belt with a silver emblem of a nine tailed fox. The belt held in place a blue mini skirt with icy blue hem, black high socks, and blue heeled boots with a small silver zipper on the front. She wears a pair of light blue compression shorts.
As strapped to her hip was a gunbrekaer that seems to be a revolver with a nine tails craved into the hilt colored icy blue. As she sported a white arctic fox tail.
Sun looked puzzled"You two know each other or something?"he asked as zoey stared at the women for a minute before sobbing throwing herself at her hugging her catching the women offguard who placed a hand on the back of her head gently rubbing it.
"Hey everything alright i missed you too…got that mail from you almost a few weeks ago. Your baby brother here loved to meet the guy"she said but this caused her to break down even more crying as she looked at sun as he sighed
"He died during the fall of beacon"he simply said as the women just hugged the fox like she knew her. As several new faces arrived to hear some bad news from some people they know.
Seems we got to meet some new faces in menageire right now along with onxyia long time bullies. Along with it seem nadia gave summer a piece of her mind for adbanding her own daughter. Though sombra, ambrosie, nix, seth and the others with him are my own oc's. Along with this mysterious artic fox. Thanks for reading!
