Chapter 28:Good Karma
It was a peaceful night in the city of mantle right now but more importantly at robin hills homeless shleter right now. The women was working herself to the bone right now, mainly because for starters their were problems.
She was in her main office right now with her adotpive daughter fiona who was still in her cot right now. Mainly because she contracted a fever from working herself exhausted right now along with treating those and managing where supplies go for the shelters and pits. The faunus matured alot in her eyes but she was very worried right now.
The main reason being that most of her staff contracted fevers of pneumonia from the current weather conditions. Atlas is the worse at this time of year with blizzard happening along with people being unable to heat their homes.
"God dammit what am i going to do? If we start stealing those food trucks and supppile convoy it'll put us on the military radar"she muttered to herself
Robyn walked over grabbing a rag that was soaking in a small tin as she twisted it ringing it out. Then she gently removed the one on fiona head who panted for air slightly, as she placed the warm rag on her head to help her fever.
"I hope your okay sweetie. Lets just hope those dam grunts kept their words to maybe consider delvieirng supplies to us"robyn thought to herself praying that they will get some help soon.
As she sat their watching over her adotpvie daughter the rushing of footsteps could be heard as may particularly slammed through the door in a rush.
"What happened? Why are you in a –"she was stopped as she had some good news for her.
"Well for starters come out front we got some visitors it seems"may said to her confusion but it caused fiona to weakly stirr awake as she groaned sitting up a little as the rag fell off her head. Her head was throbbing right now as she held it.
"Whats going on? Because…i think i can keep going…my fevers passed i'm sure"fiona said weakly trying to sit up but robyn pushed her back down into her bed gently like a mother.
"Lay down i'll check it out alright. Just get your rest alright you did good"robyn said demandly as fiona wanted to argue but sleep sound alright as she gently closed her eyes snoring again. Robyn then looked at may who had a smirk wondering what was happening now.
"Why are you smiling what did the gods grace or something?"robyn questioned confused as she gently shut the door behind her. The two began making their way through the halls emerging to the front but she quickly noticed some people already outside as others were very confused right now.
"Whats going on why is the military here?"someone said in the shelter
"Do you think their here to arrest someone since the general himself is here"a female voice said in the crowd which caught robyn attention especially. She reached behind her for her weapon which was a collpasible arm mounted crossbow that resmebled a bird withs its wings spread apart.
"If that bastard jacque schnee convinced him that we stole his dam daughter. I'm going to give him a piece of my mind"robyn said keeping her weapon at the ready just incase. May chcukled internally because it was actually the opposite.
Once outside robyn was expecting military trucks to be here to arrest her and her staff along with conducitng a police raid. But instead was met by something very surprising that being cargo truck that had the wilkins company logo. That being a golden dingo head in a circle with a selection of fruits and vegetables below it.
Their were people handing out boxes of food to people for the hunger people of mantle. While some of her shelter workers where helping them unload the things as they all seemed overjoyed to finally get some food. But she also noticed a few bullheads that were also docked in open spaces with some atlas soldiers guarding them for protection. As they bore a red cross as their were doctors from the looks of it examining people right now.
"I…i..what is all this? This has to be some sort of trick that their pulling. Did you test the supplies here?"robyn asked concerned right now.
May shook her head"yeah,heck i even tried some of the stuff. Its fresh actually seriously"she said as someone walked by with a crate of apples. Snatching one as she offered her the crisp red fruit. Robyn took it staring at it for a moment
With hesiantation she took a bite making a loud crunching noise as she chewed it for a bit swallowing going wide eyed. Because it didn't taste rotten or anything.
"Well this has to be some trick."robyn said still not believing it until someone decided to correc that.
"This is no trick we may have our disagreements but i can agree when our kingdom is in need of help right now"ironwood spoke up. As he looked rather different as he wasn't in a military style unfirom. He was wearing a pair of dark blue jeans with a white long sleeved button shrit and blue tie along with a black vest on his right hip for his pistol. Along side him was counciman wlikins and willow schnne sporting a thick icy blue winter trench coat. While caine had a coat on but had a blanket on his lap to keep him warm.
"Well well what brings the mighty ironwood general of the atlas army here. Let me guess here with her to see if we took her kid. Because we didn;t"robyn firmly stated but willow knew that for a fact but rather not reveal to them that she faked that kidnapping.
"No we are not here for any of that. My soldiers were searching for miss alcus and captain tortuga son. They were around the area and recently the councilman has told me of something troubling"irownood said. It made robyn stop a moment processing this was this man with a cold metal heart actually being nice to her.
"May go make sure this isn't a trick still. Have some of the workers take this stuff to the pit."robyn ordered as may nodded grabbing workers taking the truck toward the pits to supply the people over their.
"Oh take some of my medical staff with you. Because i rather not see someone get sick from phenomoin or fevers."willow said
"But be careful with those boxes, it has very fragile supplies in them"She added quickly as some shelter workers were taking boxes with first aid label on them inside to treat those that needed it. Robyn then crossed her arms staring at them.
"What is your angle here exactly? Here to try and get on the people of mantle good sides?"robyn pressed them on the subject.
Caine chair hovered over"well dear why don't you just relaxed. For starters when some friends of mine told me the people here are struggling to find something to eat. "He paused before pausing to swallow for a moment.
"But you are a still apart of atlas kingdom, we'd like to be on good terms with you."he added
"Yes, because it might not be much but could this help you get by for maybe six months?"williow asked with hope
Robyn was surprised to hear that how much supplies they bought to last. With the food when she checks it over later it might last them qutie a while. But one thought crossed her mind that being her adotpive daughter since willow was a doctor from what she heard.
"Alrigth look it might last us for a while. But do you have any doctors here to look over some people. Alot of them in the shelter are running high fevers and severe phenmoimu"robyn asked but begged it seems
Then someone from the side decided to make themselves known that being a certain mustcahced butler.
"I can take a look at them dear, along with some of the staff we brought"a male voice said as she turned to the source beloging to klein siebn former butler of the schnee manor it seems. The man attire was traded out for his butler outfit for something for meidcal work.
That being a white dressed collar shrit with a black bow and jacket over it. He wore a pair of brown trouser and dresses shoes. Atop his head was a dark brown bowler hat.
"Who the heck are you exactly?"robyn questioned because she feels like she seen him somewhere before.
Klein tipped his hat"klein sieben, the head of the SDC cleaning staff. But also a licenses doctor for hospital"he introduced himself like a gentlemen it seems.
"Klein i've told you before you shouldn't be so formal. You may call me willow"williow reminded as the man chuckled slightly adjusting his collar.
"Well i'm sorry willow. Its part of the job desctpion though where are those patients in need of help?"klein said getting straight to the point.
The homeless shelter owner thought for a moment before one person came to mind fiona.
"Umm this will sound strange but could you check over my daughter first. While your other staff works with mine to treat those in need"robyn stated catching ironwood surrpsied slightly hearing she had a daughter. But the man cleared his throat to get their attention.
"That will be fine, but i just wanted to stop by to make sure my soldiers got the suppiles here on time. Although…"he paused looking at the coucnilman and willow.
"But i will remain here just incase something happens to or councilman wilkins. You never know who will kidnap smeone"he added peeking her interest if their was more to this visit. She let them inside as willow noticed the current conditions of the place.
It looked very overcrowded right now with people trying to stave off the cold right now. Along with some of them looking very worse for wear as some of them staff still remained from robyns work force. But their were also alot of people laying on cot under heavy blankets coughing, or looking very sickly.
"This…is very troubling to see right now. How bad is it?"wiliow asked concerned
Robyn kept guiding them through the place thinking how to respond on her question hoping this won't lead to something troubling.
"Pretty bad we got enough water supply to give everyone clean bathes. But kinda hard when some of them are freezing or starving."robyn admitted relenting to tell them their having problems right now.
Klein rubbed his mustache for a moment"that is indeed troubling to hear right now. But what of your staff are they doing what they can do help those in need here?"he questioned
"Sort of though surprised to see you here "Diaz said walking over holding june in his arms. It surprised willow to see him here with that adorable little coyote faunus that was with him when they visited yesterday.
"Ah -cho. I take it your hard at work as usually i see like always"caine said greeting the man.
"Nope. i'm on my day off but i came by with my daughter since she wanted to come say hi"diaz replied setting june down who quickly retreated behind him hiding behind his legs for safety.
Willow sighed kneeling down"don't be scared sweetie we don't mean any harm"she reassured the young faunus
"Are you mad at me for biting you?"june innocently asked but the women shook her head at that.
"No i'm not mad. Just use your words next time when you wanna tell someone not touch your cute ears"williow complemented making the young faunus feel content zipping over hugging her legs it seemed making diaz laugh at that.
"Seems that there's a fourth person my daughter might like. "Diaz stated as willow cautiously looked at the coyote faunus.
The women was rather nervous that she might bite her again but catuosuly she placed a hand atop of her head. Then she gently rubbed it and to her surrpsie the faunus let it happened as she could tell she was enjoying it by her wagging tail.
Robyn chuckled slightly"guess she likes you says alot to everyone here takes her a long time to warm up to someone"she stated
"Oh why is that dear? Because judging by her little traits she has dual traits quite unqiue in my opinion"klein pointed out her dual traits finding it intriuging since he only ran into a select few with those traits. And heard from his favorite employer youngest daughter on her time in beacon and vale.
Diaz eyed ironwood for a moment as the general gave him a stern look for some reason. The man cleared his throat as he took a seat crossing his arms.
"Well she only like me, my husband and the person who helped save her. Though…ummm.."he paused with an upset look as willow pieced it together rather quickly. Probably a huntsman or soldier that saved her that died recently.
"You don't need to cotninue, i'll be here keeping an eye on my staff making sure everything goes in the right place"williow said as they jounryeed forward leaving the coucnilman and willow behind along with a few of ironwoods soldiers that he broguth inside to keep an eye on them.
Walking to the back robyn gently opened the door to not wake fiona as klein noticed the problem immediately it seems. The man had a doctor bag in hand placing it down as she studied the girls appearance for a bit humming.
"It seems she has a fever from the looks of it…judging by these bags under her eyes over exhaustion"klein said seeing the small dark bags under her eyes but eyed robyn. Because she herself had very dark bags herself.
"You look exhausted as well miss hill. You should rest"klein suggested
"I'm fine. Got some shut eye early but i'll be fine with the power of coffee. Only thing keeping some of us going here in the place"robyn replied feeling slightly tired but she got some sleep early.
"May that be who exactly is this girl? I don't ever recall you ever having a daughter"ironwood said with a pick smirk.
Robyn crossed her arms at him leaning against the table in the room.
"You know that if you visited like your ex leader for the ace ops. Maraiana always came by with her wife and kids. "Robyn stated before glancing at him a moment for when this doctor leaves.
"Well i'll try more often but running an academy and an army. But one question i have is that some reports have stated you've had people gone missing lately?"ironwood asked
Robyn rubbed her arm for a moment"we…we have for some reason anyone who orphaned here or got no family."she started before glancing down at fiona with worry. Because if she gets taken by whoever conducting these kidnapping she be very worried for her daughter along with all those under her care.
"But for some reason they leave with no trace. But someone…noitced something from one of them if i recall"robyn said peeking the general interest.
"What exactly do you mean by that?"ironwood questioned
Robyn thought long and hard recalling that someone sighted a blur that ran through the pits snatching some people up. It was like some sort of black and white blur going at about maybe moch ten even. But one of them pointed out something troubling that the army should know despite their current relationship.
"Call me crazy but one person said that they saw someone with ghost white skin. With teryx features"robyn suddenly said making klein listen to that part but continue with examining fiona to treat her.
Ironwood raised an eyebrow hearing this wanting to be sure which meant their are two of them now in the kingdom of atlas. But what would they be planning.
"So theirs one of those knights of grimm here. Were lucky that two of the thirteen are dead, it might be taking them to feed. "Ironwood said as klein decided to interrupted because he persummed soon enough they'd want him to leave.
"I'm sure you'd like to discuss this later when i'm not here. But as for your daughter she suffering from a terrible fever."klein diagnosed
"Alright i figured that out much, but you got any medicine we ran out a few days ago"robyn replied
Bending down opening his doctors bag he retrieved a bottle of antiviral infection. Then twisted the cap off and taking a spoon out he poured it into the liquid. Then nuging the sheep faunus awake fiona weakly opened her eyes but went wide eyed seeing the general here.
"Mom…is he to arrest us…for thinking we took those two heriness"fiona weakly asked as robyn immediately knelt down.
"No sweetie, just lay down apparently the general here listening to reason. Him and councilman wilkins along with willow schnee brought some medical suppiles."robyn said relaing the girl a little as klein took this chance to give her the medicine.
Fiona willingly took it before gently closing her eyes before peacefully snoring in her cot as robyn pulled the blanket back over her.
"I shall take my leave you two can discuss things while i treat others in your shelter"klein said bidding the two goodbye. But once he was far enough robyn glared at ironwood because she had some question on one other person that carmine and her wife brought her besides her kids.
Ironwood cleared his throat"i think we should resume our conversation tomorrow. If you want you can tell me more about this grimm knight you ran into"he said walking toward the door to leave until she decided to ask it.
"Really? Like the one that tort brought here that was on the news. The one known as omega"robyn suddenly said making him freeze.
The general eyed her for a moment because for starters he was hoping she wouldn't ask that question but the man turned to her with a stern look.
"Miss hill. I suggest you don't bring that up with me again. In due time i can explain to you when the time is right. Because were still trying to gain intel on these grimm knights that one was manipulating the two. Before we found out he was a deep cover agent of their"ironwood replied firmly as she narrowed her gaze because she doens't believe him for one bit.
"Hmm alright but i'll be meeting with your the mactavish i persume tomorrow. To discuss this possible grimm knight in mantle taking people"robyn asked as he nodded before the two decided to return to the front of the shelter as he decided to take his leave making sure his soldiers kept an eye on williow and wilkin.
But down the street right now was someone still up right now as the night sky was out at this time of day. That being hariett who needed to get away from her apartment for some time to herself. While she was just walking in the lower levels right now just thinking about things.
Because right now she was thinking about what harper said early. How he was pretty pissed off at her and marrow it seems. Over one thing that kid she failed to get out of that city on time. Sometimes for some reason she felt very guilt ridden for what she did.
Their was also more because for the past month its been getting to her because she been disobeying orders like crazy everysince she went to beacon to escort that dumb brat. Back then she depsised him so much for what he did, alsmot tearing off her mentors head off. When she was in the military at the time and training academy that women was her isnturctor in her regiment.
Over time she thought she was just some hard ass but she actually cared for her like her own daughter. She was originally from the patch but her mind just wandered around as she didn't realzie that she ended up right infront of robyns shelter seeing ironwood leaving already but noticed the food trucks and medical aid.
"Holy crap he actually did it…guess some people arene't so cold"she thought to herself walking inside already seeing the change in atmosphere of the place. Everyone was all smiles right now as doctors were treating those in need making her feel content asking the councilman to do this for her.
But as she got inside someone familiar called out to her.
"Junior what are you doing here?"mariana called out close by which surprised her she was here.
"Oh uh heyya tort. Nothing much i had nothing really to do right now thought i'd come by to see if they got that supplies"hariett replied
"We did so you did consider what i asked you yesterday. Guess not all you military types aren't so bad."robyn said pausing for a moment recalling one who was annoying.
"Except for miller who guhses over his husband whiles he at work and ebi for making luck pun"robyn added earning some laugh from the two. Hareitt sighed because she was right that guy always makes dumb pun on anything and it resulted in someone taking that to heart becoming like a mini him.
Mariana sighed wiping a tear from her eyes"your not wrong. Sorry that my old teammate from atlas academy does stupid puns. "She replied
"Oh right forgot you went to atlas academy. God you two were very annoying back in the day"robyn reminisced a little
Hariet then recalled that being mentioned as it slipped her mind that the current owner of this establishment used to be a huntresses. But she never figured out why she gave that gig up though she rather not press.
"Yeah though what brings you here tort?"hariett asked again
"Nothing much my dumb eldest son wanted to come by to help out for a bit. Since my wife is busy working on something right now"mariana replied
Close by was hunter who was keeping an eye on a bunch of kids doing some tricks with his skateboard. They watched intently as he did a kickflip as they clapped for him to do it again which he allowed showing off infront of his small audience.
"More like your dumb kid showing off what he can do on a piece of woods with wheels"robyn smuggly said making mariana scoff tapping her on the arm as she rubbed it.
"Hey not my fault he likes to mess with his board"mariana replied
Though a thought crossed ahriet mind wondering if she had it or something similar to it lying around.
"Hey do you have your guitar maybe you could play a tune for everyone. It might brighten up this place even more"hariett suggested but she had bad news.
"Nope i didn't bring it which is upsetting. But i'm not much in the mood to play right now kid, mainly because i'm exhausted after today."mariana said cracking her back sitting down. Hariett was disappointed a little but decided to do something else before she heads back to the apartment.
"Hey need any help out here for a bit?"harietted offered
Robyn thought for a moment before nodding"We kinda do maybe help out by handing out some food to the people here"she said as hariet nodded.
Immediately getting to work the hours ticked away as she began to help unload food from the trucks to the hunger people of mantle. Along with helping where she could that required it by using her semblance to quickly rush to the pit. Then come back with some people here to get some treatment for their fevers of sickness that they got from the cold and lack of food.
This kept going on for a long time as she worked where she could as the night sky was starting to turn even darker right now. As she was just finishing up fixing up some floorboard with the help of diaz as she nod feeling happy she came here today. Once she was done hariett sat down exhausted as robyn offered a bottle of water.
"Thanks"she said taking the water taking a sig of it feeling rather satfieid with her work.
"No problem. You kept your end of the bargain it seems owe you that much for what you did. My little girl will probably pull through and her girl maybe"robyn replied taking a swig of her drink herself.
"Wait hold up your daughter is dating someone here let me guess its...her"hariett siad taking a wild guess pointing over toward yuri who was getting treated by klein right now. Robyn slightly went wide eyed
"Well you hit the mark. That her if your wondering how they met both of them work here. Apparently they shared a similar passion with each other" robyn replied
Hariett chuckled thinking about someone that she fancies"heh she lucky got alot of guts to ask someone out"she said mid drink of her water.
"Okay miss i like that tricky monkey faunus"mariana said making her go wide eyed before choking on her water coughing for a moment. She pounded her chest as her face felt very hot all of a sudden. She was blushing.
"I..i..don't find that annoying wu kong chick attractive or cute"hariett said mad blushing making the women eye each other. Until both robyn and mariana bursted into laughter.
"Denial is the first step in love kid. But i'm surprised that dense faunus hasn't noticed seriously its comedy"mariana joked
Robyn chuckled"yeah though i'm proud of my girl finally getting the guts to ask her out. It was so heartwarming seeing them both fumbling with their words until they asked each other out"she replied looking down at the ground.
"How long ago did you find her again?"mariana asked diverting the topic.
"Bout ten…twelve years now i think. She was just five year old when i found her in lower mantel. No parents or siblings to find her and she was all alone. I took her back to the pits and she stuck to me like glue. For years i raised her and when she finally called me mom. I cried my eyes out in joy…she may not be my blood relative. But i'm happy i riased her being their for her."robyn said wiping a tear away.
This made harreit think about a tiger faunus who probably had the same feeling. But she didn't make it on time to make sure her son was alive. Standing up she decided to leave.
"Thats nice but…i need to go. Elm and bon will be worried sick if i don't get back home"hariett said speeding off out of the shelter. Robyn continued with her work but maraina looked at her dash off wondering whats eating her.
Meanwhile with klein he was just fisnihing up examining yuri as the fox faunus was laying down right now. Because she contracted a severe case of phnemoiman it seems as close by was a new face.
A rather tall tan skinned women with muscular features and short green partially spiked hair, beige eyes and tattoos on her nose and forehead. She wears cocoa brown coat with dark brown lapels and white trim and hem details over a light beige long sleeved top. She wears artichoke green and white armored pads with emerald green straps on her arms alongside brown gloves. She sported a pair of brown trosuer tucked into black boots with emerald green cuffs. She also wears a light gray and pale green breastplate that sports the happy huntress brooch emblem in the center.
"I take it your done soon because i don't like you military types being here"she growling trying to not get upset.
"Now ma'am i'm no military man. Just a simply doctor trying to help those at the bequest of my employer. But right now i need a blood sample from her"klein said taking out a syringe by she grabbed him by the wrist squeezing.
"Why do you need to do that?"the women growled as he flicnehd slightly from her grip.
Diaz walked over placing a hand on her shoulder"sis calm down. The guys good in my book heck your niece likes his boss alot"he said gesutring over to willow who was playing patty cake with june who was smiling as her tail wagged around in joy.
The women sighed"sorry brother, just worried about yuri over here fiona would be devastated if something happened to her."she said releasing her grip slightly as klein rubbed his very sore wrist right now.
"Don't worry miss…"he was asking for her name as she waved to him.
"Joanna greenleaf, sister of this one right here"the women intoruedced herself to the former butler.
"I'm mom and dad favorite by the way. "Diaz replied smugly making her growl at him slightly before punching him in the side gently but he held it because infact it wasn't gentle.
"Keep saying that little brother, though surrpsied that my niece is calm around her still"joanna replied as klein took a small needle. Then he pricked yuri skin making her groan a little before drawing a small bit of blood. Quickly he placed a bandaid over it with some disinfectant to seal it.
"Oh why is that?"klein asked
The two greenleaf sibling eyed each other as diaz shook his head telling her no as she nodded.
"None of your business, now hurry up and do your dumb test. I gotta get her back home"joana said with haste as he had a small computer like machine in hand.
Once the vial was in it immediately began scanning the vial and the blood that was in it. It didn't take long for it to finished and it did infact tell him she had pneumonia but her DNA surprised him keeping a stoic face.
"She does have pnehumonian give here this. We should be taking out leave soon though your more than welcome to come by tomorrow if you want. You could even come by miss greenleaf"klein offered handing them a bottle of medicine leaving the two who were confused as joanan administered medicine to her.
But he looked down at the scanner for yuri blood results because it matched someone. However that someone being her employer ex husband right now, jacuqe schnee and it seemed to matched another person as well. A lady by the name of Aruora Megumi
"It seems that devil had been cheating on her long before the divorce. That would also make this girl an heir to the company"he thought with worry
"I should tell miss schnee about this tomorrow. Along with inquire more about this yuri girl on how she ended up here"klein thought walking over to willow to escort her back to the wilkin home along with caine. As the butler wondered if this could be used as evidence against him maybe send this to the detectives.
It was nighttime now as hariett praitucally dashed all the way across atlas with her semblance getting back to her apartment to not worrie the others. It was a rather annoying and exhausting day the first being how harper seemed to mock harriet and marrow for leaving the kid behind in the city along with jabbing at elm being replaced with her brother being dead. She pulled her key out unlocking the door dropping her bag down by the couch.
Then she yawned heavily wondering if she should take a shower which she did. After taking a long thirty minutes shower she came out wrapped in a towel wrapped tightly around her as she walked into her room before changing into her night clothes before walking back out to grab a book to read. However as she did she could hear something from one of the room the sound of someone crying.
Hariett glanced over at the source of the crying that being where elm room was along with a voice in the room being heard.
"Its alright…don't let harps get to you the guys just hurt"bonnet muffled voice could be heard on the other side. As hariet sighed wondering if everything was alright.
Gently opening the door it revealed elm room which was rather smiliar than her but on the bed right now was elm who had some tears on her face that looked rather recent. While consoling her was bonnet in her pajamas consisting of a pair of boxer shorts with a brown sports bra. While elm wore a green colored nightgown.
"Hey everything alright in here?"haritt asked surprising the two.
"When did you get back?"bonnet asked surrpsied
"Not that long ago about a half hour took a shower, but is everything alright?"she asked again
Elm and her didn't say anything at first until elm decided to break it finding her voice again.
"Yeah. just…a little upset right now is all. Kinda hard to sleep right now"elm said
"Nightmares? Oh don't tell me its gonna be like what wags did before"hariet replied making elm chuckle wiping the fresh tears away.
"Its more like…revisitng an old memory. When harper talked about me being a replacement…it just brought up something that reminded me what happened to shane."elm said
"Oh right your brother"bonnet added
"Yeah…probably the best one out of the family. He pretty much made the ace ops what they are today. After he died….my whole family mourned. When i was old enough i joined the military…everyone expects things out of me"elm said as harriet heard her friend voice sounding a little horse now like she was on the verge of crying.
"Hey don't go crying on us okay. I know harper had a bond with that kid that died but don't let him rattle you. We all are sensitive to certain things and get ralled up but we can;t let out emotion get the better of us"hariett said
Bonnet rolled her eyes as her tail swayed"oh great another vine…never expected you to be dropping words of wisdom"she joked slightly earning a chuckle from the two.
"Yeah…but guess your right…you think we can talk for a little bit?"elm stated
Hariet joined them on the bed"sure what about?"harriet said
"Anything right now"elm replied
Hariett was searching through her own memory before she found something that would make an interesting topic.
"Hey did you two know before the military i was a babystter"harriett said as the two hardly believed it.
"You…a babysitter. You always had terrible luck babysitting june and the kid"elm said with a chuckle
"She right seriously both of them bite you….alot"bonnet snarky reminded.
Hariett rolled her eyes"those were just two bad expeirnce. But after i graduate from signal academy i was a babysitter for a family on patch. A seven and five year old. Both girls. The seven year old had this habit of calling me bunny cause of how my hair sticked up like rabbit ears"harriet replied
This made elm give a hearty laugh cheering her up a little as bonnet was giggling at her.
"Better than the one the kid here gave you girl scout"bonnet teased making harriet blush slightly.
"Ever keep in contact with them? They sound like nice kids"elm said
"Its been years. Their probably grown up by now"harriett replied disappointed.
"Bet they'd still remember you though. Especially if their family like you"elm stated
"I guess your right"harreit added
The three talked for another twenty minutes till elm mentioned she was rather tired but before they left she hug the two which was a nice gesture. But this resulted in the two being her stuffed animals for the night to their annoyance, seeing no other option she passed out sleeping for tomorrow. But part of her thought about one kid that she still coudln't save.
Seems that ironwood is trying to get on good terms with robyn unlike in the cannon universe. Though it also seems that klein discovered something horendious jacque schnee hearing a bit of robyn backstory and elm history. Thanks for reading!
