In the last chapter we learned that mari now knows what inside the grimm knights. Along with that beatrix and carmel are on the island for some reason. Lets return to jaki back in vacuo whos trying to restore the water belongs to Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum. I own the OC's, AU. Hope you enjoy!
Chapter 37:Water Surprises
The morning came as already awake was jaki and company all dressed up right now. As him and fenix got geared up for their trip as they were meeting up with decker and carmine right now. Along with the two students assititng them in this endevor.
It wasn't long until they soon arrived at where fenix told them they wanted to meet. That being a single story auto body shop that had two garage doors along with a few cars on the side. As mechanics were working on the cars to provide for the people of vacuo. Their was even a few of the deapsrdo vehicles in the mix right now. Once their waiting for them was decker, carmine and two others face that being that zydra girl along with tamaska of all people.
Talking with them was rusty vacialin who was talking with his leader with a clipboard in hand. In his usually attire.
"Alright we got some supplies rounded up for you. Then later we'll have a car come by later to pick you all up further down the mountain"rusy replied
"Thanks rust, don't worry i'll make sure to get her back safe and sound"tamaska replied as he returned to his duties as carmine noticed the two approaching them
"Their you two are, you two rest up alright heard last night from deck you beat him pretty bad in poker"carmine replied. Tamaska noticed them grumbling to herself right now.
"We are i take it you two are joining us on our little mission in the mountains.?"fenix aksed
Zydra stepped up"We are because mainly a few of the people sent their are students from shade and beacon"she replied as tamaska grumbled at that.
"Stupid beacon students ruining our school for being pathetic excuses for huntsman. Seriously they got my teammates taken by cultist"tamaska mumbled to herself.
"Well if you two are ready. Heads up these mountains are steep and dangerous so we need to be careful. One wrong move and you won't be getting off that mountain in one piece."decker warned
"That sounds dangerous but we have a job to do. Rescue these huntsman and get the water back on"jaki replied firmly on getting this done.
"Just be glad were going around it and not straight through it, seriously dangerous grimm are that way"carmine replied bringing out a map of the mountains and showed it to them,
"From what i gather the water pump is right about here along with the captives maybe"she said pointing to a small section near the water but also near the land.
"The best route for us to take is the lower routes of the mountains. That way it'll be easier and we wont have to use much energy. Plus it has plenty of cover for us to not be noticed. But even though were traveling the lower route we need to be careful"carmine warned as she rolled up the map before placing it in the pack she brought.
"Eveyrone understand what we gotta do?'Deckr said before everyone nodded in agreement.
"Then lets get this a move on"he said before the six of them had a new desiantion in mind as they made their way toward the mountains.
Early though after getting a hardy breakfast the mother and daughter with her friend were walking about the town as they needed to wait for the others to arrive back from their mission as she was paying her friend a visit right now which was the dojo.
The three approached the door of the home as bastet knocked.
"Coming!"a women voice called out they heard footsteps coming toward the door. It slid opened revealing lilith as she looked at the three of them.
"Oh your finally here i thought you were going to be late"lilith asked
"We weren't planning on it. Had to make sure that Saru here got back to her home safe"bastet replied. Saru was bright right now as she ran off to greet her parents in the home as they entered.
"Wheres momma?"Saru asked sweetly as her tail swayed.
"Shes in the living room with your new baby sister and my youngest. Be quiet dear"lilith warned as this brought the monkey attention running off toward the living room. They entered the living area of the dojo right now.
Walking through an open door way they were met with the sight of a kitchen and it was a large kitchen with a refrigerator, a stove and oven combo and the kitchen sink with plenty of cabinets around. They then walked through another open doorway which was the dinning area with a large table to sit around eight people. Then finally their is the living area with a wide couch to fit more than three people along with two comfortable chairs as one of the chairs was occupied by a women who looked to be in her early forties.
She was a Monkey faunus like Saru and her son it seems with a black fluffy tail. She had rather tanned colored skin as she was wearing a simple outfit right now. She wore a bright blue colored sleeveless top and blue jeans. She had jet black hair with sharp purple eyes.
Along with a little girl with light tanned skin who seemed maybe six years old right now with dark blue eyes. With brown hair cut short as she was wearing a black skirt with a dark blue blouse with a cartoon skull necklace around her neck. With simple black shoes.
"Momma!"Saru cheered hugging the monkey faunus legs as the women chuckled rocking someone in her arms.
"Shhh quiet sweetie your baby sister asleep right now"the women warned as Saru nodded before the little girl waved to her.
"Hi Saru"she greeted as her, lavi decided to play as the three were playing. As close by was yama on her scroll with a very bored expression on her face.
"Oh hello miss. Neaman guess you finally return her kid want some tea or something?"yama replied
"Not yet though can i see your bundle of joy nuwa?"bastet aksed eagerly as they sat on the couch.
"Wheres your husband?"she asked
"He went to the market to grab something for his wife. He won't be long"lilith replied
"And theirs also still my son whos still in menagerie helping his friends. Goodness that boy worries me i understand he wanted to help his friends with their grief. But he had another reason i'm unsure of"Nuwa replied with annoyance
As she gently handed bastet the baby who was wrapped up in a light green blanket. As in her arms was olive wukong who was fast asleep peacefully snoring right now.
Bastet went starry eyed"Well aren't you just adorable. I'm still surprised you had another child"she cooed slightly holding the baby gently in her arms.
Lilith chuckled drinking her tea"try having four of them, seriously my husband won't keep his hands off me"She replied making yama gag slightly hearing that
"Can you not talk about that seriously i don't wanna hear how i was conceived"yama warned.
"Well your sister has like what….a bunch of lovers. God that pana is weird though didn't your brother become divorced with one of his partners a few years ago"Nuwa asked
"He was though pana is a bit strange i'll admit. But shes family along with mars, lazarus is around here somewhere. All of their kids are very nice though."lilith said which her friend noticed that lilith right leg kept twitching like she was nervous about something which didn't go unnoticed by the two.
"Okay is…their something going on dear that we should know about?"Nuwa asked
Lilith wanted to say something but eyed the three kids in the room with them.
"Asaka dear how about you and your friends go to another room. Yama be a dear to keep an eye on them"Nuwa replied as Saru, lavi and asaka understood leaving the room.
"I'll make sure they behave mom"yama said following the little girls.
Making sure no one was in the room Nuwa spoke up.
"Now whats bothering you? Cause whenever your right leg tiwthces its something bothering you"Nuwa pointed out.
"Yes are you stressed about something dear?"bastet added
"You know me well do you huh?"lilith added " well we were friends for a long time you know"Nuwa replied
"Yeah i also disnticvly remeber someone getting pregnant during the last week of her fourth year at shade academy that the previous headmaster wanted to throw you out but i stepped in to prevent it"lilith replied which got Nuwa to laugh about that.
"Don't remind me. You had grduadted already and worked on being a librarian aid and helped me through my prengnacy. Along with caring for your little sister hel with your other siblings"Nuwa said catching bastet interest a little.
"Dear you told me that hel graves women was your friend. Was…was she your sister?"bastet asked shocked before lilith went wide eyed before making sure no one was around sighing heavily right now covering her face.
"I..i…i..y-yes…she was my little sister."lilith admitted covering her face as bastet went wide eyed upon hearing that. Because she recalled long ago when they brought that women body along with her husband. Along with nadia leaving that night to return to vale, she was the first to confront them about her. She was crying her eyes out like she knew her and she told her she was her old friend.
Nuwa tail swayed slightly"you didn't know? I even knew her little sister…wasn't she pregnant at the time?"she asked as lilith nodded as her right leg kept twitching.
"Yes but…but..please don't let anyone else know. I don't want my family to recieve hate because of my nephew. I don't want anyone to hurt my family because of it"lilith begged with tears forming in her eyes. Bastet sighed before taking her hand for a moment.
"For starters dear. You should have told me that was your sister i could have given you your nephew. Though…my good friend wouldn't have the chance at being a mother i assume"bastet replied
Lilith sniffed slightly"i..i heard about that early from someone. Look please don't let anyone know"she begged
Bastet and Nuwa wanted to beat around the bush more since Nuwa was best friends with her.
"Look we won't dear although. I think it would be nice of you to send something to the women who took care of your nephew?"bastet suggested
"Why should i? Right now i can't…even after my family name has been tarnished along with…that stupid family that hates us"lilith said upset.
"Family? I don't ever recalling you mentioning something like that? "Nuwa questioned
Lilith paused for a moment on how to answer"just a family on our side that despise us is all. A long dead ancestor of mine caused bad blood with them."she replied
"But…i might considered sending that women some mail"she added
"Well you could write one now. Me and my husband will be taking her nephew back to menagerie to check up on her. I'm sure it would cheer her up for her lose right now"bastet suggested again as lilith nodded thinking about it.
"But i'm also worried about possible attacks right now"liltih said getting their attention.
"What do you mean by a possible attack? And by who?"Nuwa asked
Lilith took a moment to gain her composure as she then spoke out the words the faunus wanted to hear.
"I'm worried that shade, havan and even atlas. I'm more worried about my eldest right now hecatae. She trapped in atlas running that dumb coffee shop of hers with my dumb sister running her club. Along with my little brother being in the capital of mistral with his wife and kids."lilith said
"Look i know your worried dear but calm down. With the soldiers and the milita we'll be fine'Nuwa reassured
"She right and my father was smart. Shutting down the school to diminish the current panic in the kingdom is smart making sure all of the students are checking up on their families"bastet replied in confidence.
"I know but…i'm just worried about my kids. If another fall happens…i'm scared of losing them right now"lilith said again
"I'm sure things will work out. They always do in the end"Nuwa replied
'I know its just…"lilith paused as she looked into the direction of the other room where the yama was keeping the three girls busy right now.
"I don't want my kids to go through such hate. I miss my little sister dearly by the day…i just wish i don't have to hide my family name"liltih said worryingly as she wrapped her arms around herself.
Nuwa simply looked at her friend knowing how nervous she is. As she retrieved olive gently placing her in lilith arms.
"Its not easy being worried. Wanting to be their to protect our chidlren. But sometimes we have to take a step back and let them handle things on their own. We will be their whenever they need our support or if they lost their way, we put them on the right path. Give them helpful advice from time to time. Embrasseass them once in a while but still be their for them"Nuwa said wisly as lilith simply nodded
Then olive cooed kicking in her arms as her little tail shifted in her blanket.
"She seems to agree"norie replied making lilith have a small warm smile.
"You might have your hands full with three of them now"bastet replied making the two chuckle.
"But please don't tell anyone of my association with my sister last name. Her husband last name i don't want people to start harassing us please"lilith pleaded as bastet nodded respecting her wishes.
"I will dear, just send a letter maybe without your name to keep it anonymous if you want."bastet suggested as yama came back in the room with all the little kids climbing all over her.
"Someone help me they won't get off me"tama said as bastet chuckled tearing lavi off her. As Nuwa did the same with Saru who ran off into another part of the house. As asaka held onto her older sister leg.
"Higher"asaka demanded but lilith handed olive to her mother as she removed her youngest from her daughter leg.
"Stop it you, though i think we've overstayed out welcome right now. I need to head back home to watch over my bookstore"liltih said
"Yes and i need to wait for my husband return from his mission. Hopefully they are successful in returning water to the city."bastet added
"Wonderful though dear your more than welcome here anytime. Maybe when my son comes back he'll have a girl by his side"Nuwa said with a smile as the two women left the home. But as bastet was walking toward her home which wasn't a short walk right now as she entered her home.
Four individuals eyed each other in civlians attire before one of them pulled up a purple mask before pulling out a syringe.
"For our queen will that demands it"the cultist said as they planned to kidnap the women alongside her daughter for nefarious deeds it seems.
The group of six began making their way out of the capital as they reached the other large gate that was at the end of the capital. On the otherisde of the gte were nothing but mountains but thanks to what carmine siad they'll be taking a different route so they didn't have to climb over the mountains. With a desitnaiton in mind the six walked out of the capital and headed to the leg and began walking.
"If we keep going this way we can get their in about five houts but still leaves us a little light to spare"carmine siad as she put the map away.
"Which means we'll need to make camp somewhere after we handle the water issue and hopefully find the kidnapped huntsmn unharmed"jaki replied as they continued walking.
"Actually one of them is my teammate you idiot"tamaska spat back making him rather annoyed but she seems to not like him.
"Drop the attitude tama, look girl just worried about her teammates. I'm worried about my friends too"zydra added
"Kids right drop the attitude right now. If you got bad blood keep it after were done here saves us the trouble alright"decker warned as the girl wanted to argue but kept her peace for now.
"Yes, but their will be grimm along the way so we better be prepared for anything"Fenix replied as brought out his weapons that being a gaunlent along with an arm sheild on his forearm.
As carmine brought hers out a pair of sais with pointed prongs on each side of a wide blade. The handle of sai suugest it could extend and could connect forming a long double sided trident from the look of it. It was mostly a silver colored blade with a blue handle, with a yellow pyramid within the blue frame adorning it.
While decker carried a combat knife on his chest with a standrad automatic weapons for his gear.
"Then we take up a formation just to be safe. Carm you handle long range thanks to your semblance"decker started
"What is her semblance exactly?"tamaska aksed
A golden wisp appeared over camrine hand as she flicked her wrist creating a small hole where tamaska stepped in causing her to trip and fall on her face. The girl looked up growling as sand fell out of her hair.
"I can move things with my mind kid, though since where showing and telling what about you girly?"carmine asked zydra who rubbed the back of her neck nerovusly laughing.
"It aint anything special in my opinion"zydra replied to their confusion.
"Everyone is unique in their own way. For example my brother could create these balls of gravity dust to lure in attackers. He could senate them on impact or make them like proximity mines"jaki coldy explained making her feel slightly better as she sighed deciding to show it.
The girl seemed to focus for a moment as then suddenly a strom cloud appeared over them as thunder cracked from it making carmine jump slightly upon hearing it. As tamaska herself laughed at her as the women composed herself.
"So you got the power to manipulate weather i take it?"carmine asked as she nodded
"Its really hard i haven't really mastered it, didn't really come in handy back during the fall. When i got hurt anyway"zydra sadly explained catching their interest as they kept walking for a bit.
"Let me guess kid lost someone close to you during the fall?"decker asked as she nodded.
"Our leader…lapiz diles. But she was such an idiot for the last order she made"zydra added peeking jaki interest immesiouly right now wondering what that was exactly. The cold man saw the girl hurt seeing a bit of his daughter in her as they decided to talk to pass the time.
"I take it she made one of you your teams leader right now?"he asked softly as she rubbed her hip for a moment where her scar was.
"I was made team leader by default. I took up the reigns in her stead but…but…"she had her voice hitch as tears began to form right now. Tamaska scoffed placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't gotta continue if you want not like they'll care anyway"tamaska codly said
Fenix eyed the young girl for a moment"kiddio quit being a little brat. Or do i need to teach you a lesson right now. Because for starters i'm sure your leader was a great person she must have died with honor"he said in confidence as zydra wiped the tears away for a moment.
"Yeah she kinda did….she almost got eaten by a manitcore. Well if it wans't for…your daughter leader saving her"zydra said exclusively to jaki who was caught offguard upon hearing that. It peeked some interest but tamaska scoffed at that.
"Yeah yeah, like everyone else apparently believing some monster saved people i call bullshit. I'm walking ahead"tamaska said picking up pace getting to the front. Jaki was rather curious right now what happened
"I take it he saved her but you got to the medical area and their wasn't enough medical suppiles?"he asked as zydra nodded sadly hugging herself right now.
"She…she told them to use it on me. I was in pretty bad shape but so was she, she told them that it was her job as team leader to make sure her teammates were alive. But she didn't need to die…she had a little sister and parents waiting for her. I had family too…but i didn't want her to be gone"zydra explained with tears sliding down her face as carmine patted the young girl back soothing her.
"Easy their kiddio don't worry she did one last good deed before she left you. She get a burial?"carmine asked as she nodded
She smiled at that"good she back home watching over your team when you go on missions again. Watching over you from the otherside"she wisly said making the girl feel better hearing that.
The rough terrain made the route rather difficult but it was beter for the than climbing over the mountain a task that they aren't well equipped for. Decker and tamaske kept a shark look out for any grimm that would be in the area in case they were ambushed by any. Fifteen minutes past and so far there was no sign of any grimm yet but it was starting to make them a bit nervous that they haven't seen any grimm in a while.
An hour past and still no sign of any grimm but that was quickly answered as fenix raised his hand up into a fist signaling them to stop. Using a nearby tree he climbed up it in order to get a better view. He noticed a strange looking near some mountain goats.
That being lizard like creature with a jet black body with a very long tail like a crocdile as it had short stuby lims that straddled sideways from the body being erect beneath it. While atop its back and tail were bone white plates aodrning it. While it had the traditional crimson red lines around it smask with a pair of big orange eyes. They were feasting on the few trapped mountain goats undisturbed.
Fenix jumped back down to reprot his finding"we got about three sobeks. And i don't think we can get around them"fenix said
"Uhhh what exactly a sobek?"zydra questioned
Jaki cleared his throat"their a reptile like grimm they closely resemble crocodiles in a way. But if i recall from peter boring talks their weakpoints are under their jaws"jaki explained
"How close are they together?"decker questioned
"Their all feasting on some goat corpses so they're pretty clsoe together"fenix answered
Decker thought for a moment before coming up with an idea"okay i think i've got an idea. Tamaska was it you got a long range weapon you provide cover fire for us. Jaki you take the right side while zydra you take the left. The rest of you take the middle with me to draw them offguard"decker said
"You sure that a smart idea old man?"carmine asked smugly.
"You got a better idea red"decker interjected as carmine tired to come up with another idea but coudnl't think of any.
"I thought so. Let get this done quick and fast so were not attracting attention"decker said as the six of them took their positions.
Tamaska quickly climbed the tree nearby as she made herself comfortable readying her marksmen rifle pointing it at one of the sobek. Zydra sthealiy headed left making sure she wasn't spotted by them as she readied her sickle as she transformed her hammer into a sawed off shotgun. Jaki carefully flanked right as he prepared his dane axe waiting for the signal that decker will give.
Decker with fenix and carmine hunched down at a bush as they readied their respective weapons as he flipped his knife. Then he took a deep breath getting a breath of fresh air before letting it out he switched to his magnum on his hip before jumping out of the bush with the two, rolled forward and fried at the grimm.
The bullet he fired hits the grimm hide but it only proceed to annoy the grimm as they were now focused on their new prey not even knowing that they were already surrounded by the others.
As the three sobkes charged toward the three decker smirked as a loud shot rang out being a red ullet hitting the first grim stunning it. Then fenix took a breath himself as he activated his semblance. Then his arms suddenly got slightly bigger as the veins on his body as well as actual claws extended from them as he gritted his teeths as fang started growing from him mouth then he let out a mighty roar like a lion.
Then he lunged forward lifting the grim up stabbing his claws into its jaw killing it. As zydra emerged from her spot behind the second unloaidng her gun into the back of the second grimm getting its attention as carmine went to help her deal with it.
Jaki jumped out form his spot as he wasted little time as he full on attack the third grimm with his anxe axe hitting it in the skull but that only made it angry as it roared at him. Decker switched to his knife as he charged in to deal with the grimm with him. But with zydra she switched to her mallet slamming her weapons into tis side kncoking it away from her actually hitting the third grimm that jaki had skillfully avoided its claws.
That was when jaki decided to try something as he clapped his hands together covering them in ice as he activated his semblance as ice hissed off his hands then he charged at one of the grimm. As he got close the grimm snapped at himas zyra and carmine dealt with the other one but it was starting to rather getting a little difficult as the grimm swiped at carmine barely missing her before deciding to snap at her. Zydra got in her way as she crossed blocked the attack holding its jaw up placing her mallet as it held it in palace but she couldn't hold on for long.
Tamaska noticed this taking aim at the grimm overpowering zydra as she aimed for its lower part of its jaw. Taking a breath to relax herself she took aim and pulled the trigger firing another shot which landed a direct hit killing the grimm as it vanished into dust.
The last sobek swung its tail into jaki as he expertly dodged it as he slashed at it again with his axe as ice slowly covered its body. Then he switched to his submachine beginning to fire upon it that was also ice dust bullet from the barrel.
The grimm getting rather annoyed at the cold man snapped its jaws at him but he dodge the attack but jaki ended up on top of the grimm as he bashed its skull as his hands were coated in ice. The grimm tried to shake him off by rolling around snarling trying to close its jaw on his head but he kept dodging it. The others saw the grimm trying to shake haki off but decker took the chance for him to use his semblance right now activating it. He took a deep breath as smoke around him started to do something.
The smoke around him started to take shape of something that being a human like figure shrouded in smoke with a pair of dark red eyes glowing inside the smoke. The creature then lunged forward as it managed to engulf the grimm as it infiltrated it nostrils going inside its body. Jaki took this chance to jump off as the grimm layed their for a moment before swelling up like a balloon then popped like one instantly killing it.
"Whoa! What the heck was that thing?"zydra asked as on decker side the smoke like creature appeared next to him as he took a puff of his cigarette.
"Why do you think i smoke so much? This right here is my semblance i can summon a little smoke demon by my side. Meet enenrra"decker introduced his semblance as it wheezed slightly before disappearing into thin air. Then fenix walked back over as he was returning to normal panting right now whipping the swet from his brow as tamaska joined them walking over.
"Alright that was freaky. Seriously this guy over here summoned some smoke monster and he turned into a full fledge lion"tamaska commented.
"Ah that would be my semblance. My semblance is called as put beast warrior. It only enhances my faunus-like abilities but i pretty much become a literal lion in the process. However it comes with a side effect. If i don't return in a period of time i risk losing my humanity"he explained.
Jaki hummed slightly"just like how my daughter explained their leader semblnaces. Everytime he used it their was a chance of his grimm nature taking over"he thought
"Well thats the last of them. Lets keep going"decker said as they continued to push on.
Another three and a half hours past and taking care of any grimm that came their way the group of six made solid progress as they were now nearing the shoreline of their target destination
"Huh we've made solid time, were finally here"carmine reported as they looked on at the shoreline which was almost like a small beach side area for any travleers to rest.
"And just this we should be coming across the giant pump close to here"zydra said
"Yep. not much further now. Though how about we take a break. Pretty sure your feet must be sore right now."decker added as this was true. Walking along the edge of the mountains was still rather tough and not even adding in the grimm that they've fought along the way so a little break wouldn't hurt them very much.
Jaki placed his weapons down since it started feeling a little heavy as he sat down in the sand to relax a little as the rest did the same. Fenix sat his pack down as he brought out six bottles of water for them to drink handing one to each of them.
"Make sure it last. So don't drink it all at once"he said as he took a drink of his
Jaki took a drink of his water but then his attention was drawn to the compass he hung around his neck as he took it off and examined it further.
"What the heck is that?"zydra asked curious about what he had.
"Its a compass that theodore gave us it is an artifact from what he told us. Thing can point us in the right direction if we get lost"decker said but jaki wanted to try something.
"Which way is the capital of vacuo"jaki asked confusing them but all of sudden the compass began to glow of a sudden. Opening it to their surprised it began to slow down it seems before pointing somewhere. First going right and then left each time slowing down further being pointing back the way they came. Carmine matched it with their map as it pointed directly at the capital.
"Oh so its like a homing beacon, dam thats an interesting artifact i've encountered and i've seen alot"carmine commented
"Really whats the craziest one you found?"zydra asked as the girl tapped her chin for a good moment thinking of one.
"The faunus heart, rumor is that it can turn someone completely into a faunus by a drop of their blood. Along with lets see…"she stopped as jaki got included.
"Try the infernal gauntlet. A women trapped in a glove by a jealous blacksmith and apparently my great grandmother on my mother side. Ember hayely"jaki casually said drinking his water.
Decker laughed bellowed slightly"hot dam thats interesting. Alot of interesting one out their and thats the strangest"he replied as they drank their water. A quick ten minutes came and went as they got back on the road again but luckily their target wasn't so far off as they followed the shoreline toward their target.
After their small break it would be another twenty minutes of following the shoreline before they would finally reach their desintaiton but what it was something that none were expecting as they hise behind the bushes.
In front of them a large machine. It was made out of bronze with a large cylinder with a covered top that is the shape of a half sphere. Their were pumps that would pump the water into another cylinder that jaki would guess purify the salt water into drinking water. They also noticed a big hose was till in the water but it seemed to be not active as nothing seemed to be running.
Unnfortantly thats all they could see so they coudln't tell if anything else was there or not.
"Well there it is"carmine said
"Yeah but it doens't look like its running"fenix said but he sniffing the air trying to pick up a up a scent of some kind and luckily he did.
"And there are people their to. Not sure how many though"fenix said
Tamaska looked around and for anything that could help as she noticed another tree nearby.
"I'll get a better look"she whispered as she carefully climbed the tree to get a better view. Once she was up their she looked through her scope to get a full view of the area.
Almost immediately she spotted about sixteen people in their but only eleven of them were culitst with five prisoner that being her teammate meadow and four other in a large cage big enough for them to move around but noticed them without their weapons with one of them with a crude bandaged around their waist. Surpsingyl the rest wasn't injured.
"What do you see?"zydra called out quietly.
"I see elven cultist and five students including meadow. She seams to be okay and doesn't have any injuries but she doens't have their weapons. One of them is injured"tamska said
"How bad is his injruies?"decker asked as taaska looking at it again for a moment.
Then she condldued it as she came down the tree"stab wound across his gut from the look of it, along with looking pretty pale"tamaska said
"Great. Elven of them verus six of us and one person injured."carmine said not liking the odds in the enemies favor.
Though decker only smirked as he eyed zydra for a moment coming up with something.
"I got a plan. Huddle up because weather girl is helping us"decker said as he began to explaining the plan to the rest of the group.
Meadow wasn't having much of a good time right now. Not only did her and her group get caught by the unseen eye but now she didn't have her weapons along with one of them being injured right now and through that they also took her music player which annoyed her. Though she half expected them to just kill them right now in some way but surpsignyl they didn't. Instead they gave them food and some medical aid to the injured students.
One of the cultist came over and placed a tray through the bars of their cage. It was five porkchops with five small bottles of purified water.
"Their you go be nice and fat for later"the man said
"What the heck are you talking about? Seriously why aren't you killing us you psycho because the captial needs that water. Without water people will strave plus why are you keeping us alive?"meadow questioned
The cultisy laughed manically for a moment"you'll be helping us soon. Speaker flora wants a scarfiece for our queens loyal grimm servants. The capital will strave ushering in another city falling down for our queen"he said creepily walking away.
The five were all creeped out right now as they might use them as sacrfeieces for those grimm freaks.
All five of them didn't eat wondering if the food now was posioned as they waited it out. However through the cage she noticed the sky suddenly started to get very cloudly as it covered the sun comply. Then what things even weirder was that she noticed snowflakes fall from the sky and it suddnely started to snow steadily.
"What is going on here?"a cultist said looking up at the sky.
"The forecast never called for this today. Something isn't right could it be a maiden?"another one said. That when was the snow suddenly picked up in intensity almost completely cuaisng a white out as even the wind pick.
"What in the world?!"another one siad
That was when five quick shots rang out taking out five guards as they fell to the ground.
"Someones shooting at us!"a guard called out but a black blur zoomed by and knocked out the guard. The remaining guards pointed theirguns at whatever was firing at them but due to the snow they couldn't see their target. Meadow tried to see throught he snow but it was too quick to see anything but she could've sworn something zoomed by her cage and attacked four more guards knocking them out.
Finall a loud shot rang out knokcing out yet another guard
The final cultist looked around rather vigorously trying to figure out what was attacking them. Then suddenly the snow began to lighten up as the wind died down before it compelty vanished from view as the sun was now shining on him but he was also surrounded by decker, fenix, carmine, jaki and tamaska all pointing their weapons at him.
"I'd put that weapon down if i were you or my other friend will shoot it out of your hand"decker said as from the distance tamaska had him in her sites. Zydra was exhausted panting before falling down passed out groaning. Seeing himself outnumber the cutlist clanked his teeth shut with a cracking noise.
"What was that?"jaki questioned. The cultist started to shake several times before he suddenly began to froth at the mouth as he violently shook before it died down as he layed lifeless. Decker cheked him over seeing no pulse concluding something.
"Sucide capsules in his molar, dam psycho didn't wanna give up any intel"decker decided. Then tamaska rushed over grabbing the key unlocking the cage before hugging meadow.
"Oh your okay i was so worried about you"tamaska cried as she returned it but imemdialty carmine rushed to the injured students aid pulling out a medkit
"How bad are his injuries"she asked quickly.
"One of them stabbed him with a blade that went through his aura or something. It might have been a semblance"a female student answered as carmine began to get work on patching him up. While the students retrieved their weapons as meadow picked up her lute and music plater pocketing it.
"So anyone got a clue what these guys plan where?"zydra asked panting still
"Well early we noticed something weird that they were carrying. A bunch of barrels or something their over their"a student said pointing to some that were dark blue kegs with a skull and cross bones on it. Jaki quickly examined it popping the lid open seeing a strange purple liquid that smelled purtird.
"This is posion from the looks of it. They were planning on posioing the water supply to take it down. Since their numbers are thin they sent some students here to check it out. We should reactive it then maybe have some people guarding it"jaki said
Though fenix walked over to the control console as he entered the activation codes he got from theodore. It took only a few minutes as he entered the last code and when he did the pump roared to life again. The hose began sucking water from the ocean and the cylinder chambers began fulling up with water before being transferred to the other cylinder for purifciation and then transferred an underground hose that lead to the capital.
"Water issue is solved now we gotta get back to the capital to just relax along with sending someone to guard this"fenix said
"Lets make sure no one can get into the system anymore and round these guys up."carmine said as she was working on the main console of the system as she started typing on it. Five minutes later she had a satisfied look on her face.
"That should do that now we gotta get this kid back to treat his injuries"carmine said gesturing to the student with a fresh bandaged. Decker then pulled his radio out pressing the button.
"Base this is your commanding officer. Send a bullhead to my location with medical aid. Drop off a squad of soilder here and make a defensive at the water pump. And send a decon unit to test for any impurities in the water. Have someone warn the headmaster of it"he ordered as the radio pause before someone spoke.
"Roger that sir out in twenty mikes"a radio operator said. About twenty minutes later a couple bullheads and cargo ship arrived with the despardo colors. As they quickly got out as some of them began to form a perimeter. Two soilers with medic patches rushed over placing the student on a stretcher rushing toward the cargo ship. Toxia walked down skipping slihglty waving to them.
"Heyya commande, here to test the water sent word to the headmaster already about what happened. Put a warning out across the city about possible contaminated drinking water"she said
"Good job were heading back to give the good news. And take a nap i'm exhausted"decker said as they board the cargo ship to make the short journey back.
Only a half hour past as the sky was slowly starting to turn orange right now. But the cargo ship landed as the medic rushed out with the student on a stretcher. While theodore walked over with a proud look on his face.
"Good job you all on saving my students and returning the water supply. Were already having someone check it over for signs of contamination"theodore replied
"Thats great, because i'm exhausted though gonna put in a good word for my organization like we discussed?"Decker asked offering a hand as the headmaster shook it firmly.
"I will, but you should all rest because tomorrow i plan to send a cargo ship to retrieve the students from the city. Hopefully their all still alive"theodore said walking back to his office as decker joined him. Tamaska, zydra and meadow returned to their dorms as that lef the three.
"So…fen you think your wife is at home. Mind if i stop for a visit haven't seen little lavi in so long"Carmine asked
Fenix laughed slightly"anything old friend, bertilak will be mad i'm sure. But a women that jaki knew dropped some muffins off. I'm sure he'll be happy to have running water and a sweet pastry"he replied as she liked the sound of that.
The three walked back to the house which took about a half hour but their was a strange feeling right now. That mainly being that the door to the lions home was wide opened which scared him as he sprinted toward it.
"Bastet!"fenix called out as the two joined him as they got inside. Once their the entire house was in a mess with furniture flipped over with pieces of furnitures smashed along with slash marks on the ground. The lion just shook slightly before dropping to his kness with a worried look, his wife and daughter were kidnapped.
It seems that bastet and lavi were taken by the unseen eye for their goals for their queen. While we had lilith reveal to the lioness that she was in fact the sister of hel graves. But we also met asaka along with a new artifact and new grimm! Thanks for reading!
