Chapter 41:Mysterious Saviors
Right now in the neaman household is was utter chaos right now mainly being that fenix was roaring in rage tearing apart the house right now looking for who took his wife and daughter right now. As this was happening jaki along with carmine were trying to calm him down as Yongshis came over to see what the commotion was. Along with a few people from the vacian police.
Their squad cars where parked infront of the house as a small crowd was forming outside muttering to themselves wondering what was going on. But fenix was roaring in rage like a lion right now as he kept throwing furniture around the place along with finding any signs of his family.
"Where the hell are they?! Who the hell attacked my wife and daughter!?"fenix roared as his ears stirahgtne out
Yongshis grabbed him to make him face him as he slapped him hard across the face making fenix growl as anger boiled in his blood.
"Fen! Calm down dammit freaking out won't do you good buddy. Just relax and take some deep breaths"he advised
The lion wanted to argue at that momen but relented taking a few deep breaths at the moment to calm himself down. As he did eventually the man calmed down but had tears starting to form wondering if he lost his family right now.
"Alright this is just weird, because for starters i'm pretty sure no one would rob your house or take your wife"carmine stated shifting around through the destroyed rubble in the home trying to find any clue.
"Yes because i'm sure with your stature alot of people woudln't want to mess with you"jaki coldy added looking for clues as well
A vacian police came forward with a notepad"sir just a quick set of questions so we can file out a report. Because we'll be dispatching some patrols and huntsman to search the area for your wife and daughter"he asked but fenix was trying to keep calm right now but was still freaking out as carmine sighed walking over to take over.
"Ask me the question i knew his wife back in the day"carmine offered as the officer nodded
"From the look of things the place looks like it was robbed jdugign by it. But some of my guys found something underneath one of the beds in the other room"the officer siad before one walked over with a bag handing him it. He showed it which revealed a dart in the bag with some fur on the other end of it.
"A dart? Thats weird what does this have to do with anything?"Yongshis asked
Carmine examined it for a minute giving her assumption.
"From the look of it. Its a transqulzier dart. Usually used to paralyze enemies but only for a couple hours though."carmine deduced that was when it hit them for a moment as jaki figured out what it was.
"Someone must have taken your wife while we away on that mission on the water pumps. But why would they take her?jaki asked himself for a moment
That was when fenix calmed down for a moment piercing something together right now. His wife father was the current headmaster of havan academy. Along with that he knows the man cares deeply for his wife along with his daughter. That included his granddaughter as a light bulb went off in his head.
"They took them as ransom. Their planning on using them to get to the headmaster of havan academy. That would mean their trying to get to leonardo"fenix announced as they pondered that for a moment as it made complete sense. But that would mean one thing right now.
"Their planning on attacking havan academy next…their going to use her as a bargaining chip to have easy access into the academy"carmine aded
The officer cursed silently"dammit alright we aint letting that hapepn. I'm rounding up any avaiblae units in the area. Rather not have another kingdom get attack its mistral. But hey they don't deserve that."he said rushing off as the officer joined him in the home to start a search party. As they sat their for a bit fenix groaned rubbing his head right now holding it for dear life.
Jaki noticed his plee because he seems in the same positon right now as himself. But he rather not see a father lose his daughter or wife right now because of some kidnappers. Placing a hand on his the lion glanced up at him.
"Don't worry we'll make sure their safe, we should head back to the academy to gather some huntsman up. Then we can start searching for her and your daughter"jaki said in confidence reassuring the man.
Carmine pulled her scroll out"i'll call bertilak to meet us their on the way. Along with having him gather up a few of my miltia to start a wide spread search."she said as they began to dash to the headmaster officer while Yongshis returned to his home to make sure his family was safe.
But right now in theodore office he was finishing up a talk with decker right now as his assistant xanthe was by his side. The three were mainly discussing what they could do to make the despardos have more people join their cause to help replenish their numbers.
Theodore had a bottle of water not from the tap as decker soldier were still testing the water for any unpure materials in the water that might kill the good vacouvians of the captial. As he took a drink he set it down as decker was talking.
"I'm not much of a business man but i'll just say it. Maybe just tommorrow make an announcement or whatever that me and some people got the water back on. Along with telling them that i perosanlly dispatched some of my men to safeguard their water supply"he suggested
Xanthe chuckled slightly at that which seemed to annoy the man."what so funny shorty?"he asked with a glare
"Oh its nothing. Finding it slightly funny that your asking for help like were offering chump change to you"xanthe sanrkly said making the man growl at her preparing to punch her right now but theodore put a hand up stopping him as he scoffed.
"Rumpal that wasn't nice dear. I may have sent them out to stop those cultist from sabotaging the water supply. But we shouldn't be rude"theodore corrected
Xanthe bowed slightly"of course sorry just a bit of humor to lighten up the mood. But most people might not want to join your group"she pointed out as the smoker took a seat propping his feet against the desk pushing it back slightly.
"Why is that exactly?"decker question rather annoyed right now.
The women began to pace for a moment looking over her clipboard at the moment then tapped her chin as she sauntered around the room for a bit. Then an idea came to her at that moment.
"Well heres the thing you've taken over a city that is controlled by grimm. And they might be afraid you'll send the fresh news recruits to their deaths in that grimm infested city. Because you did lose a decent amount of troops who died honorable. "Xanthe begun as they lisnted.
"Along with those two knights of grimm their thankfully two of them are dead. But right now you should just focuse on maybe taking back the city to overwhelm the grimm in the area and hopefully kill those other two that are prowlring through the city"she continued
Theodore didn't really like the sound of sending people to their deaths right now.
"That doens't sound like a good idea xanthe. Because people would be killed and right now with the increase in the unseen activities. They are probably going to storm the city."theodore replied
"You said you found barrels of posion at the water pump?"he added
Decker nodded"We did probably going to contaminant the water to posion the city drinking water. Then let everyone die out from it…but i do need more soilders. I want to try and protect shade i may not be an atlas commander anymore but.."he paused before he closed his eyes rubbing them for a moment.
"I don't want more innocent people to die, you have some harhs landscapes, sure. But it might be your academy next…havan hell even atlas"dekcer finished as the headmaster knew that was a possibilite. But right now he was hoping that ozpin would reincarnate soon right now maybe then they can continue this shadow war against that witch. These cultist might be her followers and he only trust a select few out of their inner circle. Decker might be one of them xanthe was an if but they only knew each other for six years.
Suddenly the elevator door dinged opened as the three turned to see fenix stomping into the room with the others by his side along with bertilak. This confused the three for a moment as the headmaster wondered what happened.
"What with all of you all of sudden? You all look rather miffed because it seems like you have something to tell us?"theodore asked
Fenix slammed his hands down on the deks cracking it gritting his teeth praticualry grinding it right now as he was fighting the urge to go all beast on this desk to relive some anger.
"Oh i'm more than mad! Some psycho helped kidnapped my wife and daugther while we went on that mission!"fenix roared in rage catching theodore and decker offguard. Xanthe pretended to gasp with a shock expression.
"Thats terrible to hear dear, how long ago do you think they were taken?"xanthe asked
Carmine though eyed her for a moment for that gasp early but kept her peace because she was starting to piece things together at that moment.
"We don't know i already tasked a small group of our milita to search for them. This is bad in my opinion"bertilak stated
Theodore sighed because he knew exactly why is was bad"that she is the only daughter of the current headmaster leonardo lionheart. Which means that someone must have been hired to kidnapped her to use her as insurnace for the attack on havan"he replied walking from behind his desk.
Jaki tapped his chin thinking of who maybe"perhaps it could be white fang, they could have a cell here in vacuo"he suggested
"No…no that might be their style. But more like hired thugs got reports from nez saying they spotted clay burrows their in the city"decker replied which made jaki growl slightly which got their attention.
"Whats with you snowman?"Carmine sweetly asked to lighten the mood up.
The weaponsmith sighed rubbing his eyes"a while back he was sent to my home to try and kidnapped me. My guess a rival company but the thing was…at the same time i was told that someone tried to assinate the chieftain of menagerie. My teammate family"he explained as this got them thinking for a moment.
But as they did carmine eyed xatnhe for a pretty long time which the short stacked women noticed wondering if she figured it out. But she needed to keep her ruse up.
"Is their something on my face dear?"xanthe asked placing a hand behind her back reaching for a dagger.
Carmine scoffed"don't know the only people that knew we were on that mission are the people in this room"She explained before pulling her sais out as they looked at her confused.
"What exactly are you assuming right now red?"bertilak asked taking his weapon out that being a chained mace. The mace was colored in black having a grown rusty look. Fenix was eyeing the short women right now as they were beginning to surround her.
"What i'm saying is that the only one that knew of it was us. Along with that me…fen..and snowman over here knew his wife was going to be home alone"Carmine continued
Then she pointed one of her sai directly at xanthe forehead as the short women gulped right now.
"And her"she finished before lunging at her but the short women dodged her strike deflecting it with a dagger. Then she reached forward trying to touch her but the women was quicker dodging it as xanthe fell to the ground. Then once her hand touched the ground it started to slowly turn into something….gold.
"Watch out her semblance allows her to turn anything she touches into gold!"theodore warned as xanthe growled trying to attack again but berilak winded his mace back smacking her across the face stunning her for a moment. Xanthe was stunned for a moment but he decided to be dirty by punching her straight in the nose with a crunch being heard
"Gah! You god dam.."she coudln't finish as he kicked her to the ground, then he changed mace into a pistol then aimed aimed at her hands. Before they could stop him he blasted both her hands off with explsovie rounds
The short women cried in pain as both her hands were a mangled mess right now with her fingers blown off right now. Blood gushed from her fingers as it dsibled her semblance rather quickly.
"Rather brutal don't you think?"jaki codly chastised.
"Hey i rather not become a gold statue right now plus we have questions"bertilak said as fenix pushed past them hosting her to her feet right now as she still had blood dripping from her mangled hands.
"Where the hell did you take my wife and daughter?! Who hired you to take them from me you dam midget!?"fenix demanded snarling right now. Xanthe stared at them for a moment before she held back a laugh.
But then she began to go into a manically laughing fit right now which confused them right now. As the short women kept laughing which angered the lion further.
"Why are you laughing? I thought i could turst you but it seems your little act was a ruse after all these years"theodore spat with venom right now.
Xanthe began to stop laughing smirking"i don't care….six long years i had to play nice. But no matter speaker flora has told me i did good"she suddenly said to them as carmine knew of that name.
"Thats the psycho cult leader of the unseen eye.."carmine said before pulling xanthe neck down seeing a bit of skin peeled off slightly. She carefully removed it revealing it to be fake skin which revealed a scarred symbol of a closed eye. Theodore was shock she was one of them he should have done a better background check on her.
Fenix growled right now"where is my wife and daughter!?"he demanded again as xanthe smirked at him.
"They'll be gifts for our allies to tear down another academy. will also be very pleased with our work…she'll reward us"xanthe said in glee which made jaki eye her…that was the serial killer who took his brother but he had a wife.
Decker looked confused"miss callows…only name that belong to was a…serial killer named tyrian. Not surprsed two psycho falling for each other"he said not surprised.
"Tell us where you took them right now because we want an–"jaki couldn't finish as the same happened early with the other cultist. Xanthe cracked her mouth before he body began to shake violently they dropped her to the ground as she began to forthe at the mouth before laying on the ground lifeless with her eyes rolled into the back of her head.
Fenix roared as he brought his fist down onto the ground smacking it several times in rage.
"Dammit! Dammit! No! I can't loose my little girl and my love…please…please not them"fenix pleaded with tears beginning to escape. Bertilak kicked xanthe corpse isprecting it as he knelt next to the lion.
"We'll find them fen, but we might be too late it was hours ago at best when they might have been taken"bertilak said
Jaki groaned rubbing his forehead"dammit if only we could find out where they went"he said but as he did the compass around his neck began to flow. They all were caught offguard by this as he opened it as it went from right to left for a bit until slowing down. Then it pointed in a direction that was south where fenix house was.
"I think we got a lead"carmine stated as they all nodded before deciding to gather up who they can.
At the autoshop they met at before they were all gathered their right now as carmine had gathered up about maybe ten of her miltia. While decker had about three squads of his soilders along with some desert vehicles at the ready. Their was also a bullhead to try and cover more ground as the desert sun was starting to turn into nightfall. Along with people muttering amognest themselves right now with confusion.
But right now theodore was at the head guiding the group to a vehicle right now that rusty and surpsignly loki was working on right now. That being a large truck like vehicle with a canopy covering the back.
Decker whistles slightly"nice ride pretty impressive"he complieted
Rusty had a rag whipping his hands down"yeah this things pretty good for desert terrina. Meet the desert rider MX-8 been working on this bad boy with LF over here for the last year"rusty added
Loki removed himself from the bottom wiping his brow off then noticed the group a little surprised right now.
"Oh sup what brings you here you gonna make good on your word?"loki asked but fenix shot him a look.
"Not right now kid were on the clock i gotta find my wife and daughter"fenix snapped back
But the two boys looked rather confused right now as rusty handed the keys to decker right now who pocketed them for the moment.
"What happened to your wife? Don't tell me some psycho cultisy came in doing on of their kidnapping again?"rusty asked like this was common occunace.
Jaki binked for a moment"is it that common for this type of thing to happen?"he asked as thoedore sighed rubbing his eyes.
"It is but right now we don't have time for this, i'll send some groups to search other areas in the dunes. Usually these days are when they have large gathering to…scarfiece someone to their god."theodore replied
"Well lets not waste anytime, bert you and the boys look around the north side just incase"carmine ordered hoping into the truck passenger side. Decker hoped into the truck and turned the ignition. The truck roared to life as the rumble of the engine could be heard. Decker noticed a button pressing it as the truck which made the tires converged on themselves and then suddenly it was floating in the air.
"Hover dust convergence powered by gravity dust. Impressive"jaki complimented hoping in himself in the back. As fenix took over the wheel as they hung the compass on the rearview mirror as it hung their.
"Alright just a head up thing packs quick a kick to it, wherever your going you may need to be easy on the clutch. And bring it back in working order or i'll sue"rusty warned pointing a finger at him
Decker scoffed slightly"kid i know a good ride when i see one. Were oscar mike we can't burn daylight lets stop these psychos from whatever their doing"he sounded off as the vehicles began to split off into different directions into the sandy dunes. The bullhead engines roared to life as he began to soar off into the distance.
But as they did loki eyed it for a moment before pulling out his scroll to text someone about something as he walked away unknown to rusty.
The four seemed to follow the compass for an hour on the truck as they crossed the sandy dunes as the night sky was out right now which meant they might be too kept his hands on wheel in the zone right now. As jaki and carmine checked over their weapons for the oncoming fight.
Decker had a cigarette in hand as he light it as it illuminated his face. He took in a deep inhale before exhaling as smoke plummed around his face.
"So we getting any close on finding where their at with this little trinket help?"decker asked looking at the compass as it swung around glowing a little brighter slowly telling them they were getting close to something.
"I don't know but those cultist are really pissing me off. The vacou council needs to gather some huntsman to get rid of them"fenix replied
Jaki nodded as he checked his pouches seeing he had enough ammo"agreed still can't believe you have to deal with this type of thing on the daily"he aksed as the two vaocu resident just goraned at hearing that. They have common bandit problems but these cultist were on eveyrone nerves as they take people form their homes.
"You have no idea bandits are very easy to deal with but these cultist. Their trained professionally"Carmine replied
"Are you for certain their that trained because they all seem like lunatics from their behavior"jaki asked
Decker groaned loading a few rounds into his magnum"for starters their pretty well trained despite being psychos. From what i heard their hired guns also assassin for hire. Back then some family started it if i recall if i recall someone with the last name vincent"he explained making jaki ponder that for a moment.
"Hold on that last name…wouldn't that be the last name of a girl family. Naca vincent?"jaki questioned as carmine nodded
"Yep thats their family though thing is they split off from each other. But everyone gave them crap for having a family apart of a cult. Knew the girl mom heard they moved to mistral to escape the harassment"carmine replied
'Yeah but…back then they used to be not so crazy actually."fenix added still focusing on the drive.
"How so?"jaki asked
"Back then their previous speaker wasn't that bad but when she was killed by a hired gun during one of their…so called riutals. They went psycho trying to desotry the capital or any settlement close by"he replied as that meant that mercury boy father might have angered these cultist making him not like him further.
"But after were done here where will those two go?"carmine asked
"After we rescue my lovely wife and little girl i'm heading to vale to take that lynx to his aunts. "Fenix added
Jaki nodded"i need to check on will daughter i might as well come along"he replied as they kept speeding off into the desert in search of the two kidnapped lions. But unknown to them two figures were following them close behind in a pair of quad bike as the two nodded to each other. Because they were people willing to do some good with their familys gift.
After about ten more minutes soon enough the tracks went over a hill but they immediately noticed a set of bright lights ahead of them. Fenix stopped the jeep turning it off as he carefully got out along with the other two. The three snuck up the hill to get a better view of their surrounding and were met by a strange sight.
Because jkai immediately noticed a bullhead their waiting for someone it seems as he could see very obvious unseen eye members. Because despite their colors they stuck out like a sore thumb in the desert. Though carmine pulled some binocular out geting the lay of the land.
"So what do you see carm?"fenix questioned as his ears slightly tiwtched as she looked around seeing about maybe six cultist. But something bother her mainly who else was with the bullhead.
"Hmm at least six culsit in total but i count at least three men in military gear"she said as decker got curiosu as she handed him the binoculars. The man loked through them before narrowing his gaze pulling them up growling.
"Guess were dealing with some crimson talon here as well. Hassan seemed to have hired these guys maybe"decker replied as jaki recalled something very important about those mercs that both his daughter mentioned. Their employed under the creator of the grimm kngiht.
"Hmm if my memorie serves me right those mercs are also employed under arthur watts"jaki eeplied which confused carmine for a moment.
"For strters that atlas sciensit was rumored to be dead. His kid did resruface at the vytal feistval"Carmine paused thinking for a moment.
"Although that would make sense because he was an expert in gene therapy and grimm biology. Along with having several over shell companies as well"she added but decker looked through again to find anysource of bastet and lavi. After a bit of searching he finally did as he saw the two placed his cages as the poor girl hugged her mother for comfort.
"Found your wife and kid fen. Their in those cages close by to the bullhead. We gotta hurry so whats our game plan?"decker questioned as jaki thought for a moment becauses its been too long since he's done soemthing like this. He was his team leader back in the day but now he raises a family now. But he picked up a nearby stick drawing in the sand for a bit as he draw a decent drawing of the layout of the small encmapement.
Carmine chuckled"nice craftsmanship let me guess you got a plan for dealing these thugs quickly?she asked as he nodded pointing to some circles that represented their enemies.
"We need to imbbolize the soilder first near the bullhead they may try to take off. I suggest you use those dust storms of your to trap them"jaki ordered as she nodded then looked toward fenix and decker.
"Fen you take out those cultist alongside decker. I'll help carmine dealing with the ones closer to the bullhead you head for your family"jaki said as all of them nodded at that. Quickly they all began to sneak their way throuhg the darkness as the night casted them in darkness. But as they did the two figures pursueing them soon arrived on a sand hill close by as they got off their quad bikes.
Both of them were wearing body suits along with cloaks that had a skull on the back of the cape. Althought their faces were covered by mask as the female looked at the male who smacked his fist togehter.
"We gonna help deal with these slavers sis?"he asked offering a fist bump
"Of course its our ancestors legacy to deal with the wicked evils of our world"she said returning it as they pretended to do an explosion.
The boy sighed laughing"mom gonna kill us if she finds out we did this"he replied as she shrugged her shoulder as she started to sneak toward the camp alongside her brother it seems. With the cultist and soldier patroling the place bastet held her daughter close who was crying her eyes out right now.
"Mommy where are the scary men taking us?"lavi asked her mother hugging her for safety.
"I..i don't know sweetie everything will be alright. If they even come near you they'll regret it"bastet said glaring at a soldier who approach their cage with a cultist by his side. The soldier exmianed the two for a bit looking at his scroll nodding putting it away.
"Alright these two are the packages that are needed for the bargaining chip. Good work"the soldier said as the cultist bowed to him.
"If it please the all seeing one, we will serve her for all of our natural lives"The cultist said as the soilder stared at him for a moment creeped out. He shooed the cultist away as he walked toward their cage pulling a key out to unlock it.
"Yeah alright buddy…creepy cultist freaks why the heck do we even work with these guys. "He asked another soldier
"Hey they make good cannon fodder hurry up and load them up"the soilder replied as the soldier snatch lavi away from her mother as she cried out for her.
"Mommy!"lavi cried as bastet reached for her daughter.
"Get your hands off her"bastet said as she lungd for her daughter but the soilder rifle bashed her to the ground. Lavi kept kicking and screaming trying to break free from his grip but failed. Bastet felt her head as a red liquid seeped form it as she looked seeing a rifle barrel in her face.
"Stand down we got orders to–"he couldn't even finish as a lion like roar could be heard. Soon a large hand grabbed him as he slammed him into the sand. This caught the other guard offguard as he spritned toward the ship as fenix was about to pursue. But a cultist tried to drive their dagger into him but he dodged it as he slashed at him with his claws severely time with aggression. As the man stumbled fenix grabbed him by the leg repeatedly slamming him down on the ground harm.
Bastet noticed this as she quickly pulled him over as he brutally knocked out the culsit.
The women slapped him across the face"dear relax or you'll lose control. I don't wanna lose my husband and my daughter"she said as the man decivated his semblance nodding to her. Then immediately he started to book it for his daughter and the soldier. With carmine she emerged from the darkenss with her sais as she lunged at a gulsit who blocked her slash. Then he headbutted her back cuaisng her to stumble but she flipped them backwards for a second.
Then she decided to use her semblance as sand started to swirl around him as it soon wrapped around him tight. The cultist began to slash at his sandy prison to free himself. But he looked up to be met by carmine rushing forward clocking him hard across the jaw. Though he still stood as he changed to his pistol firing at her a couple times as she took a few hits. The women then quickly deflected a few shots before rolling close to him then spinned kicked him in the back of his head knocking him out.
With jaki the weaponsmith slide down the hill as he returned fire at two cultist who wanted him dead as they fired their weapons at him. He created a small pace of ice path as he fired from the hip with his submachine gun. Jaki kept firing ice shot at the two as a whitetish flash came off his muzzle. One cultist got hit a few times as their body slhglty froze them off knocking them to the ground as they struggled
The second cultist growled as she brought her dagger out driving it at the man glaring at him. The women screeched as she kicked him back starting to deliver a flurry of slashes at him. But with quick thinking he transformed his weapon to his axe. Then he quickly pushed back lifting his axe up delivering a devastating overhead slash shattering her aura as she fell to the ground knocked out.
With decker he tossed a combat knife in the air as a cultist rushed in at him. But as his knife came back down he qucikly spinned kicked it into the cultist as it stabbed him in the leg. The cultist cried as he coated that knife in anti aura metal.
Decker smirked taking a puff of his cig blowing it"anti aura metal hurts alot don't it. But you cultist deserve this"he spat as the cultist dug it out of their leg as they titled their head at him.
"None shall stand in our queens way. If she wants the lions she'll get them"he spat as he rushed in toward decker with the knife slashing at him several times. But he kept dodging them as he decided to activate his semblance.
Soon enough the smoke from his cig started to slowly take shape into a humanoid figure. While it did he kept doding the cultist hit until finally as he stabbed him him again. Decker took his knife back then punched him in the face as a crunch could be heard.
"You miserable vermin you shall–"but was stopped mid sentence as soon a swarm of smoke enclouded him delvieirng several punches to the man face and bodie. He kept grunting in frustration until he fell down as a smoke like figure stood next to decker before disappearing into thin air.
With fenix he was rushing toward the bullhead as the soldier threw his daughter onto the ship. He looked back shooting at him several time while a cultist had an idea.
"For all the all seeing one"she said as she then proceed to snap her own wirst as she cried in pain. This confused the man but he presented his guanlent ruhsing forward letting the gunfire not even caring. But as he did jaki was rushing over until something roared tackling him to the ground.
The man looked up to see a grimm snarling at him as it lunged at its new prey. Soon a few grimm entered the fray mainly being about three beowulf and two uras minors. The uras roared rushing toward camrine but she flipped over it as she drove her sides into its side barely doing anything. The grimm swiped at her sending her flying into some rocks hard as she gasped as it took a large chunk of her aura.
Carmine coughed slightly"that hurt…gotta come up with a new plan"she said as she quickly dodged a grimm lunging at her. She used her semblance to trap the uras as it tried to claw free roaring for someone to save it. But soon a ball like device was thrown into its mouth mid roar. The uras swallowed it before it soon expanded blowing up as it disappeared into dust.
Carmine panted sitting on her knees looking at decker"thanks for the assist, psycho must be desparate enough to summon grimm."she replied panting.
"Agreed we gotta hurry up before they snatch his kid. Come on"decker demanded as she picked herself up rushing over.
While they did the second uras lunged at fenix as he dug his claws to attached onto the beast pulling himself onto its back. Then he brought his shield up to contoiunsly shield bashed its neck several times as he slowly made a cut into its neck. He kept glancing as the bullhead was slwoly taking off.
"Someone stop that bullhead before it takes my little girl!"fenix demanded but begged as the grimm he was fighting was not wanting him to go.
Over with jaki he kept dodging the beowulf tha tlunged at his prey ready to sink its teeth in. but the weaponsmith was getting tired from dealing with those grimm at the water pump from early. Soon enough the beowolf smacked him hard as it sent him to the ground as his aura shattered. Jaki panted looking up as he sweated seeing the grimm looking at his fate. He saw the others were busy and he was too exhausted.
"I..i can't give up…i need to keep looking for my daughter"jaki said trying to stand up but panted heavily. The grimm didn't care as it raised his claws to finish him off as it brought it down to kill him. But something susprising happen.
The sound of a whipping motion could be heard as jaki saw a green blur slice the grimm in half killing it as it dispepared into dust. The cold man narrowed his gaze as he went wide eyed. Their stood a boy who was coated head to toe in green organic like armor as his arm seemed to resemble a snake sword. But what he found strange was the pair of curved horns on his smooth out face with white lines dotting his joints of his arms, legs and chest. He rushed over offing his other hand.
"You alright over here sir?"he said as jaki looked at him strange. Mainly because he looked exactly like her daughter leader semblance but green in color.
He stared at him for a bit as the boy groaned"do you want help getting up or not?"he asked again
"Oh right sorry its just uh you remind me someone is all"jaki coldly replied taking his hand.
"Really? Eh well lets just hurry up and save that little girl. Then you all can head home tonight"the boy said as the he whistles toward someone.
"Sis stop that uras i got the bullhead!"he shouted over at a girl in a cloak who just finished slicing a grimm head off with an axe as she twirled it. Then she nodded as activated her semblance as he watched her become covered in a purple like material. The material soon covered her body showing her smooth out chest sort of along with white lines on her joints. Although for her mask it seemed resemble a masquerade as it happened from her back six spider like limbs emerged as she rushed over toward fenix who struggled slightly.
Fenix grunted holding the beast maw back"Dam beast let me go i need to save my little girl!"fenix roared in rage as the grimm kept trying to swallow his head whole. But soon several spider like limbs began to stab its bodie several times as it let out a death roar as fenix looked at his savior.
The lion hoped back up rubbing his head"huh you know you remind me of some kid i saw on the news"he said
"Cool whatever but don't worry about your daughter my brothers got this"she said motiing as the second figure mottled the armor off him. Then it started to crawl up his body again as from his back large raven like wings sprouted from his back. After that his feet turned into crow like feet as she jumped to the skies as he soared into the bullhead.
Inside the bullhead the soldier inside tried to cuff the lion down"hold still you dam brat! We only need one of you and you wil work"he ordered as she bite his hand.
"Gah! You little brat!"the soldier said getting ready to strike her but a hand grabbed his wrist twisting it as he looked at the mysterious figure glaring at him.
"You don;t hit little kid time to go flying jerk"the boy said as he slammed his face into the metal wall several times until the soldier goggles cracked as he slumped over. Lavi was about to run but the boy quickly approached the cockpit placing a curved axe against his throat.
"Land this bird now and I may spare your life today"he ordered as the soldier wanted to argue but just relented shutting the ship setting it down. Once he did the boy smiled as the soldier got out from the cokcpit with his hands up.
"Look..i…i surrender alright…i only took this gig to pay my debt to them"he said as the boy sighed before making him kneel as he pulled some cuffs out cuffing him as he escorted him outside the ship as lavi followed him but soon looked at her mother who rushed over to her.
"Mommy"lavi cried as she lunged for a hug from her mother who held her close.
"Oh my baby…your okay…thank remnant your okay"bastet cried happily looking at the stranger nodding thanking him, his armor mottled off as he bowed his head. Soon enough they dealt with all the enemies as decker made a quick call.
After about twenty minutes his soldier came as they began to round up the cultist and crimson talon soldier. Along with the local vacou patrol who arrived as they cleaned up the place.
Decker walked over scratching his chin"Alright my guys and the miltia here can handle rounding these guys up"he said
"Good because right now i could go for a nice long nap right about now"jaki said
"I'm just happy my little girl and lioness are safe and sound"fenix said nuzzling his nose against lavi who hugged him for dear life. Carmine rubbed her side eyeing the cloaked figirue.
"First off who the heck are you two? You another cult or something we don't need another one"carmine jokignly asked
"Yes though your semblance seem rather famliar…like my daughters leader but different colors"jaki pointed out to their confusion as the two cloaked figures looked at each other other as the girl bowed.
"look we can't divulge that information but for starters we don't mean harm"she reassured
"Yes, our family aren't villains, we saw you in need of help and provided it. "He added
"I can't thank you enough for what you did for my family what are you names?"fenix asked but the figures eyed each other shaking their heads.
"We can't tell you but were known as the gravekeppers. "The girl started bowing as the boy finished.
"Protectors of the innocent against the forces of grimm and other wicked entities"he finished which surprised them slightly but soon enough the two just turned away walking away. They didn't really stop them since they didn't seem to harm anyone. But this made jaki curious slightly it seems. But soon enough after some much needed discussion they all returned back to the capital to rest and relax.
"I'm heading back to my property bert told me found a few places on the horn that held some more captives. See yah"carmine said walking off
"I'll bid you all a good night as well, probably join yah if your heading to vale tomorrow morning"decker said as bastet nodded holding lavi close not wanting to let go.
"We are, maybe then head to mistral to warn my father after stopping by menagerie to check up on my old friends"bastet replied as they called it night now.
Though across town right now the nightsky was still out as nothing stirred awake in the desert of the vacouvin city. The capital was silent as usually although moving throught the streets where the two cloaked figures as they navigated the streets queitly making sure not to draw any attention.
The two kept walking around avoiding anyone using the nearby building rooftops to their advantage. Until eventually they reached a two story house that was made of stone like most of the other building in the capital.
"You sure mom won't know what we did early?"the girl asked as the boy pulled out a key unlocking the door.
"Positive beside were doing what our ancestors did. Getting sick and tired of all her rules"the boy replied as he quality opened the door as they navigated through the dark house. They made sure not to make a peep as the boy removed his mask and cloak. As the girl did the same as darkness still obseucred their appearances.
"Well for starters we get in trouble this all on you"she warned poinitng a figner at him
The boy crossed his arms"oh don't worry mom won't know we went out and used our sem–"he was stopped as someone clear her throat as the lights were turned on. The two looked over at a nearby wall at their mother that being lilith. With another person a man.
That being a man close to her age with tan skin along with black hair to match while he had a toned build to him. Along with wearing a pair of grey boxers with a tan shirt. His eyes were emerald green while on his right hand a silver wedding ring.
"You two are in so much trouble right now! I told you to never use our family gifts people will get suspicious of us"liltih screeched as the man put a hand on her shoulder to calm her.
"Your mothers right we've told you over and over again that we need to keep this a secret"the man warned.
"Mom chill out me and sis were helping them o.."loki was stopped as his cheek was being pinched right now. Yama sat on the couch as emerging from a room was a sleepy asaka wearing a brown shirt with dark blue pants.
"Why is everyone yelling?"asaka tiredly asked. The man walked over picking her up sitting on the couch with her.
"Nothing sweetie your brother and sister where being idiots breaking curfew and the number one rule"the man said
"Oh come on were not little kids anymore, seriously your friend and daughter were about to be kidnapped"yama mentioned to lilith shock releasing her hold on loki cheek but placed him on the couch as he rubbed his cheek.
"I applaud you for that but we need to be careful. I don't want what happened to my sister to happen to you"liltih said worried.
"But ma she died like fiffteen years ago, she gone"loki said making his parents glare at him right now for saying that.
"Llyod please slap our son upside his head"lilith asked sweetly as the man named lloyd forger smacked loki upside the head as he yelped.
"Don't dirpsect your aunt like that she may be gone. But what happened to az and her was tragic. Your aunt and uncle are still hurt about it especially pana and your with…"he paused as liltih was holding a picture frame close right now which he noticed.
"You mean how actually cousin who was alive….and apparently was some grimm hybrid or whatever"yama said
"Thats the other main reason i don't want people to attack our home if they saw your semblnaces. I don't want you to experience that"lilith said walking over pulling her three kids in a loving embrace.
"I don't want you all to experience that hate…i..i don't wanna lose you"lilith finished as some tears formed as loki looked down sighing as he leaned against her.
"Alright i'll try to keep it more on the down low, i promise"loki reassured
Yama just patted her mother back with one hand"Same here mom though pretty fun taking it to those cultist finally. "She said but looked at her mother with a smile.
"But show us yours then, asaka wants you too"she added as her little sister hugged her mother.
"Please momma"she begged as she couldn't refuse seeing the puppy eyes.
Lilith sighed as she stood up slowly activated her semblance as the organic like material crawled up her that was colored blood red. As it did soon enough her feets turned into pointed heel like shoes. While it crawled up her chest white lines dotted all her joints as it glowed slightly. Then as it crawled up her back devil like wings emerged as then finally for her face. The organic material crawled up to make a hannya like mask as her hair flowed through the back of it.
"Their you three saw it head to bed,loki and yama your grounded for a month go to your room"llyod said as the two grumbled returning to their rooms. As asaka returned to her, then lilith walked over holding the picture frame close to her heart. Lloyd walked over hugging her from behind.
"I know you miss her dear, but she with her son now their together"lyyod lovignyl said
"I..i..know..but i should have taken him in. Then he would have met his family"lilith said molting her armor off staring at a picture of hel holding a newborn baby in her arms with tufts of black hair in a dark blue blanket smiling. With azaril by her side with a bright smile.
'I know but maybe you could send something with bastet, since i heard an adoptive relative of his is their"lyyod suggested it as she considered it. Then they returned to their room for a new morning.
The morning sun soon rised over the continent of vacou. Already packed up as they were already at the capital. Where the ship was going to be taking them to vale. Desprado soldier were loading some suppiles into the ship along with refueling it. Decker was talking with theodore over something right now smiling. As jaki and company walked over with their luggage, along with carmine.
"So your telling me this morning that over two hundred people wanted to join up?"decker asked again it seems.
"Indeed after saving the water supplies and some captives from those cultist. They want to help your cause, i take it your going give some good news"theodore replied as he nodded.
"Though fen you sure its smart to head to vale first?"carmine asked
"I need check on vance right now. That base has held strong for the last month he needs to go home his family is worried sick about him i'm sure"fenix reaffirmed. As some soldier loaded their lugaage for them.
"I'll be heading their to check on will daughter then head home. Maybe console my wife right now for both our missing daughter"jaki sadly added as they decided to start boarding the ship until someone called out to them.
"Wait!"a voice said as they turned to see lilith sprinting over confusing them but jaki eyed her curiously right now.
"Oh lilith dear what brings you here?"bastet asked walking down the ramp.
Lilith panted slightly catching her breath"i heard you were leaving and well…i want you to give this to that women. Who took care of my sister son"she replied
"Wait…so you were lying about being related to her?"jaki asked as she nodded as no one heard them but they immediately understood why.
"Yes..i..i just don't want any harassment is all…his last name came from his father. Though a few members of his family live in vacuo since he originally came from here"lilith replied which made carmine tapp her chin.
"Hmm makes sense last night saw two people with similar semblnaces to that guy. Might be inherited name sounded familiar…but i can't put my finger on it"Carmine said unable to recall it.
"Probably just some dumb book…though what do you have?"fenix asked pointing to a dark blue box in her hands. Opening the box it revealed a obsidian colored ring with a skull holding a blue gemstone in its mouth. It looked rather new.
"What is this?"bastet asked taking the box for a moment.
"It..it was my sisters…i know i should keep it. But…give it to that women who took care of him please. I'm sure she would want to gift someone that for taking care of her only son"lilith begged as the lion thought for a moment pocketing it before hugging her.
"I will dear don't you worry, i'm still sorry for your lose"bastet said as lilith nodded as carmine and theodore stepped off the ship. The engines roared to life as they waved them goodbye as they were now flying off to vale to check on someone but might run into something unexpected.
This concludes jaki storyline as he off to vale to check up on will daughter but won't be expecting a certain someone being their. But it seems that lilith and her kids are relatives of zanes but want to stay hidden to avoid any further problems with their family. Thanks for reading!
