Last chapter we saw that zane is struggling with keeping his facade up saying he is fine. While DJ seems to know that xander was the one who crippled him. But lets continue with the grimm hybrid who got some interesting belongs to Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum. I own the OC's, AU. Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 44:Interesing Hobbies

It wasn't a long walk to the forge because already hard at work was mulberry and DJ. the two seemed to be just finishing up their work for the day. He didn't get a good look at it now but it was a very small forge. DJ was just finhsing up banging a sword with a hammer to fix its shape.

But he noticed how the two semed to be making weapons and fixing up damaged armor for the camp as well.

"Greeting harold how goes thing in the forge today"port greeted as mulberry looked up removing some welding goggles.

"Pretty good we've fixed alot of the broken gear here from the attack"mulbery replied

"Heyya kid been a while still cna't believe your still kicking"DJ said offering a hand to zane as he took it shaking.

"Yeah uh well guess i was too stubborn to die…hows trixie?"zane asked

DJ scratched hin chin for a moment"my daughter oh shes fine. She with her mom back in mistral right now. You here to fix your gear or make something?"DJ replied

"You can kinda say that."zane replied as he removed some of his stuff. Then he took his jacket off placing it to the side then puled some headphones plugging them into a music player. Surprised this survived the fall.

Zane first started to look through the wide varieties of metal at available use that being some stainless steel. Then he grabbed some parts that he'll need for his creation. But before he started he turned his music up as it played some hard rock as he tapped his foot. Then he began heating it in the forge making sure to leave it for about ten minutes. It didn't take him long for it to get really hot as zane took it out with steel clamps. As he then grabbed a sword mold resembling a ninjkato blade.

Then he began to move to the forging process as he slowly poured the hot metal into the sword mold. Mulberry and DJ along side port watched the boy work and to the weaponsmiths they were quite impressed how well he knew how to use some of the equipment. But DJ quickly noticed what he was making as it looked like a sword probably a replacement. Zane put what he had back into the forge to reheat as it began to lose some of its shapes.

Zane was in the forge for a good six hours hard at work as the three noticed it was taking shape. Even a few huntsman and soldier stopp watching him incase he tried anything but wanted to se what he was doing.

Soon enough it took shape as it revealed a ninjakto sword. It was about sixteen inches in length as the blade grip was white with black lining it. Though both sides of the blade were different as the left side of the blade was jet black like the night and the other side pure white like snow. Both sides gleaned in the moonlight.

But the hiltguard of the sword was strange as it seemed to resemble a scope as it unloaded. Though he spent an extra hour making a hirsaya colored in a black and white swirl, he slipped it on over the blade. Then with a small hot piece of iron he pressed down hard on the tasuka handle for a bit letting go. Soon it revealed the symbol of yin and yang as he painted it, then he was down with his creation.

Zane gave a small nod hoping this will make up for what he did.

"I'll say what did you exactly created young man?"port questioned what he created.

"Some replacement for that katana you lugged around. Thing got a dust igntior?"DJ added

"Its an apology gift if made correctly. The blade functions like any typically sword but along with that it also forms as a…"zane said pressing a button on the grip. The sword then collapsed inward toward itself as the hiltguard soon transformers into a small scope extending slightly. In his hand was a hunting pistol with its hammer primmered. But he opened the two slots on it for dust shots.

Then he approached the firing range close by as they followed him over. Then he eyed the target as he helped it with one hand. Closing one eye he took aim at a pratice dummy then fired both shot hitting its target.

"This will make up for hurting her"zane thought to himself. DJ and mulberry both blinked a few times as they were impressed with what he made.

"Dam kid thats a pretty impressive apology gift for someone"DJ said scratching his head amazed at it.

"Hmm hes right guess that why you and jakis girl were partners. Both seem to be experts with weapons"mulberry said as it made him think about his partner. Shes probably devastated right now, maybe he should find a way to apoligze to the twin.

"Eh well i just hope that those two twins are safe in argus"zane said which surprised them

" you don't know what happened to the hayley heiress?"prot aksed making him stand frozen as he shook his head.

"Word is that that cold one and the schnee heiress were kidnapped. While your partner ran away from home to kill people."DJ sadly said as zane just looked down holding the sword in hand. Without a word he walked over to the forge as he did maintenance on his gear. He needed to find them now and hes not staying in this camp.

But close by where a large campfire was everyone else as they all just finished eating dinner for the night. Along with all of them enjoying themselves as nebula was trying to play the guitar the entire time to impress gwen. While other swapped tales with each other.

"So their we all are fighting off grimm in the city. But as we did making our last stand atlas shows up swoops in saves the day. Then we see blake and weiss riding in on a pair of uras controlled but eden little sister. After that we get stuck cleaning up the city we saved"cardin said as some laughed at that.

"Oh i forgot about that. Those soldier almost shot em"coco said sighing.

"I didn't expect for when they left taking her to vale for the city to become under attack"miyuki said trying to keep warm by the fire.

Naca chuckled"that nothing before the vytal festival happened our team was tracking down swan. Saw that chick running around at night"she said as yumi and vance eyed each other.

"Huh better luck next time shes still roaming free i heard"yumi said looking away leaning against cardin.

Earl tapped his chin for a moment"though i got a question doesn;t your guy outfit mainbale consist of people who left the military. How you guys drop out?"he questioned as the deapsrdo around them slightly closed up. Celeste just looked very annoyed by that as faba sighed rubbing his eyes. Sandra just hugged herself tight scared.

Earl realzied his mistake"oh uh sorry you guy don't need to–"but was stopped by celeste.

"Eh you earned the right kid. I got kicked out for a dumb reason. Context i'm happily married and was a military psycholigst and interagator"celeste begun.

"Let me guess someone talk bad about your family"vance asked as she nodded.

"My C.O got to handsy one day groping me where he shouldn't. Broke his jaw but he had connection and kicked me out. Then joined up with my best friend outfit"celeste fisnihed;

"Huh not that interesting but that kinda rude"xander replied as he put his hands up to warm himself up.

Akasha chuckled with a teasing look"aww not his fault he wanted some of the goods. Whoever your married too is very lucky"she teased making the women throw a marshmallow at her head to their amusement.

"guess its my turn…mine a little simple. I left after i failed to save a squad of my men and civillians. But uh someone told me some grimm like figure slaughtered all my men….wish i got to them on time to save em"faba sadly said his short tale as he had a few tears escape.

Coco leaned against him rubbing his back"your good uncle probably one of those grimm knights. "She said but when they looked at sandra her tail coiled around her as she visible shook.

"Um ma'am you don't need to go next…its fine"velvet reassured her which made the racoon sigh in relief. After a bit of playing nebula groaned placing the guitar down.

"Alright i suck…anyone wanna give this a try?"nebula said presenting the guitar to them.

"I'll try maybe i'll play a little tune for my ilia"akasha said beginning to tune the guitar as jae laughed at her.

"Oh you mean that girl you got cold feet for too afraid to ask out. But me and blair helped you"jae teased making the girl slightly go flush as she finished tunning the guitar. It made some snicker but the falcon faunus soon tried to play.

Akasha played at a decent tempo for a bit but evneutally she struck a few bad chords which caused other to be disappointed. The girl then groaned grumbling to herself as they decided to see who else could try and play.

They had some soldier play as some did good but other not so much. Cardin even tried to play for a bit but failed miserable as yumi consoeld him on his failure. Surpsignly velvet could play a decent tune but got nervous soon after from all the stares. They did this for about twenty minutes.

While they did cardin glanced over toward the forge seeing zane still their hard at work. He wondered if he might know how to play. Along with using a break.

"Hey you guys think grimm boy could play?"Cardin asked as he then received several stares and glares from some.

"Uh no offense that guy isn't exactly uh pleasant. He creeps me the hell out"Earl said as may glanced at him hearing that.

A huntresses scoffed"yeah that thing should be in its cell right now. Rather not have it try to kill everyone in our sleep"she added

"True can't believe goodwitch is thinking of letting it go to menagerie. Probably their to kill people"a huntsman replied making vance clench his fist in anger hearing all this. Hes getting sick and tired of all their remarks toward his cousin.

"Hey quit giving my cousin crap alright or else"vance warend as octvai scoffed rubbing her bandaged side. She broke a rib from the scuffle at the CCT tower and need to rest for a day.

"Look were happy you aint mopping anymore. But that guy on my nerves"octavia said poking at the fire with a stick kicking embers up slightly.

"That we can agree on seriously he keep throiwng jokes around like he didn't do anything arong"earl added as his tail flicked slightly.

Gwen leaned against nebula"hes got you their. Pretty sure no one wants him over here anyway"she added to nebula annoyance as she glanced over at the guy. Soon enough she decided to voice her objection.

"Just let the guy come over rather not have another moopy lynx situation"nebula backed up to her teammates and girlfriend surprise.

"Also quit giving my boyfriend crap, I don't care what any of you say right now I can love who i want"velvet stated her stance as some of the others rolled their eyes in disgust at her

Faba nodded warming his hands"yeah kids earned it after you've all routed around in his head the last two days"he said firmly as some of the soldier loked at him weird.

"Yeah let the kid come over here for a bit. Lets just see if he can play for a bit if not oh well"Celeste backed up as vance nodded thanking them standing up with cardin and xander joining him.

It wasn;t a long walk as they saw him just doing maintenance on his gear. He was polishing his pistol as he set them down to rub his tired eyes. Soon enough cardin called out to him.

"Yo grimm boy you busy over here with your little project"cardin called over as he turned to face them. He still had bags under his eyes as he removed his headphone yawning slightly. Before he could answer the soldier did.

"Please refrain from talking to the subject and inmate"the soldier warned stepping foward.

Vance glared at them cracking his knuckles"we aint talking to you grunts. I suggest you step back before i knock your helmet off"he warned

"Kid step back because were just trying to keep you all safe. Rather not have it go on another killing spree"an atlas soilder replied. cardin clenched his fist as from the side someone spoke up to voice their objection.

"Lay off the kid. Understand your captain gave you orders to watch him. But just let him talk to his friends"nezumi said walking over with merlot and glynda close by her.

"Ma'am you aren't our commanding officer so–"but the soldier was stopped

"Oh really? Because for starters your in our base. We set it up when the city came under siege while most of your guys left. Captain picto can stuff it…understnad"nezumi said as she placed her hand on their shoulder squeezing on it emphazing her words.

The soldier relented letting them through as xander walked over seeing the sword he made. The wolf gently picked it up with care examining the blade unsheathing it slightly.

"Whoa you made this…i gotta say this is cool"xander complemented making zane slightly feel better.

Vance whsitled"yeah though this is a replacement for that sword you had?"he asked

"Uh no more like an apology to …probably put wolfie through hell making her cry alot. And for that dumb video"zane sadly soften his gaze patting him on the shoulder.

"Eh don't worry man just pray when we get their you aint hugged to death by your mom"cardin replied making him chuckl. But as xander examined the blade he had some very bad news.

"Though uh bad news this sort of suits my dad but…this type of sword aint his style"xander said regrettaable as this made him groan laying his head down.

"Tough luck kid spent the last few hours making it. Waste of good material for a pretty impressive weapon"DJ stated

"Come on seriously…well that sucks now what are you gonna do with it"vance added

"Eh he could just give it to him still maybe as a wall decoration or give it to his girl"Cardin suggest which peeked zane interest slightly. Maybe when he patches things up with her he could teach her how to use a sword.

"Probably but what brings you three over here anyway?"nezumi question.

"Came to see if the guy could play the guitar. Everyone else has tried all except for him."cardin replied which peeked his interest. But zane just stowed the weapons in a nearby locker that he kept them in. then he began to walk back to his cell.

"Nahi'm heading to bed early tonight…rather not bother you"zane replied quickly trying to walk away but glynda stood in his way placing a hand on his shoulder.

" i know your focused on heading menagerie. But you need to relax, lack of sleep is bad for your health. It won't do you much good to collpas midfight. That also goes for your mental health"glynda said knowingly making him just sigh as he put his mask on.

"Fine…uh i'll just try then i'm heading to bed"zane relneted walking over with them. But merlot just looked at the boy with worry it seems. Once they got over sitting down next to velvet alot of people just looked disgusted with him being their.

"Great the freak of nature is over here."a soldier complained

"If this thing try to murderer anyone like it did during the fall. Were hanging it by the gallows"a huntsman said firmly.

"Does this monster really have to be here?"another soldier added with more insults coming his way. But he just kept his mask on trying to tell him he's alright.

"Give the kid a break seriously. Hey kid you know how to play?"celeste asked handing him the guitar as he hesitated for a bit. Zane took it cautiously resting it on his lap as he tuned it, but it made him recall something.

Three years ago.

Three years ago in the continent of atlas mort improtanly atlas command. Inside the lounge room right now was a younger zane in some jeans and a dark blue t-shrit. While infront of him right was mariana tortuga sitting on a stool tunning a guitar. With her wife carmine sitting on a couch with marrow leaning behind it.

"Alright kid now watch me you strum these chords right here its known as a G chord"mariana insutrcted as he followed.

"Okay good now press chords G, D and E."she insutceted again as he pressed his fingers against the chords. Then she motioned for him do play as infront of him was a music sheet. He tried his best to follow the chords but after a few strums it sounded terrible.

Then he placed the guitar in his hand to the side"thought this was going to be fun. I shouldn't have picked this dumb hobby"he said in defeat which made marrow laugh at him as his tail wagged around.

"Hey you wanted to learn how to play the guitar. Not our fault you suck"marrow jabbed

"Wags is right you also kept complaining how bored you got from your last hobby. Nailed it in a couple months"marriana added

"Mediaitng was pretty easy…buts it also very boring"zane replied as he placed a hand on his cheek.

'Look i know you don't like it here. But learning an instrument might help you relax and destress"Carmine said as she eyed her wife who noticed this.

"Alright i'll play a song, watch and learn kid"mariana insutrcted as he did as the women just began to strum a few chords slowly. It sounded like hard rock country with what she playing, then soon she sang.

"A lonely road, crossed another cold state line"

"Miles away from those i love purpose undefined"

Mariana just sang to her hearts contents playing her guitar. He tried his best to match her pace and tempo. Carmine smiled that her wife did that for them while marrowed bopped his head at what was played.

"Dear god the only thing i ask of you is"

To hold her when i'm not around"

"when i'm much too far away"

"We all need that person who can be true to you"

This went on for a bit more as he kept trying to pratice alongside her. Maybe this hobby might help him relax or when he has a panic attack. It made him feel content that he picked this up.

Flashback end.

As he sat their holding the guitar he opened his eyes as he looked seeing everyone staring at him. Then some of them started to clap for him which confused him.

"Okay did not expect that to happen"sandra said surprised

"Yeah seriously that was actually better than everyone else"dew added

"What are you all talking about?"Zane asked confused as he set the guitar down.

"What do you mean because you you started to play for a bit, then soon enough started singing"cardin replied which just made him pause for a moment as zane blushed embarrassed. He didn't know he did that on instinct.

Coco laughed slightly"oh man i thought weiss was the only singer at becon. You recorded that right bun?"she asked looking toward velvet who had her scroll out nodding to her surprised he could do that.

"That was very beautiful actually"she admitted

"Huh guess your full of surprises…wonder how sis would react"xander said to himself.

"Hey you mind playing another one that was pretty good"miyuki complemented but some others had some choice words on the matter.

"So the dam murder know how to play, big deal doesn't make up for all the people he killed"a soldier stated

"Thanks for the performance you dam freak, now get the hell away from us"a huntresses added

"Yeah, go back to your cage you monster. Rather not have you go on another killing spree"a huntsman added as several more comments came. Zane just sat their fighting the urge to cry as he just stoof up without a word walking away.

Octavia scoffed slightly"fianlly hes gone thought he thrown in one of his stupid jokes or whatever. Annoying pest"she spat

"I know right he played pretty good. But seriously he keeps smiling like he thinks he did nothing wrong"earl replied

But vance just got sick of all them as he stood up to chase his cousin. Cardin stood up following him but surprisingly dew and nebula followed them. While they did the others enjoyed themselves for a bit. As they walked after him vance noticed them.

"What are you two doing here? Here to make my cousin feel more upset"vance spat at the two but it was the opposite.

"No uh just wanted to come check up on the guy after what happened"nebula truthfully replied

Cardin looked weirdly at them"thats it? Your other two teammates seem to hate his guts like everyone else"he coldy reminded. The two vacuo girl eyed each other until nebula gave dew an affirming nod.

"Look i'm sure you've notice the last two days how he keeps smiling right?"Dew questioned to their confusion as they nodded.

"Yeah hes been smiling alot but i;ve noticed its been forced a few times"velvet replied sadly

"For starters dew semblance is related to emotions she can read people emotions. But can't shut it off"nebula replied. Dew rubbed the back of her head slightly to see vance colors showing anger, worry, concern and compassion.

"Okay then what is grimm boys?"cardin asked as they kept walking after him as he entered the cell he slept in. then close the cell door behind him slamming it shut. They looked at dew who had a somber look.

"From what i seen…hes not happy at all. People think he doens't feely guilt…but thats all i'm seeing."dew replied sadly making vance pick up pace to the cell. Once their he could hear someone quietly crying to themselves as he saw his cousin in the corner balling up sobbing. The others joined him as cardin was surprised to see this.

"God dammit Z"vance muttered as he quickly picked the cage lock but someone from behind spoke up.

"Let me guess the boy is crying right now isn't he"merlot spoke up spooking them slihglty as they all jumped. Dew and nebula helped each other as cardin held his chest panting slightly. Vance unlocked the cage seeing him and nezumi their.

"I..um…he is he played pretty good actually. But everyone just insulted him after he was finished"Velvet said as in the cell zane finally noticed them as he quickly composed himself.

"What do you all want"zane asked with a slightly hoarse voice. Cardin cautiously stepped into the cell seeing one small cot in the room. He just walked over taking a spot next to him.

"Just coming to check up on you, you doing alright?"cardin asked as he nodded as he simply just stood up then layed down in the small cot turned away. Vance looked worried seeing him acting like this wanting to read his mind. But didn't wanna disturb his privacy.

Merlot sighed walking down as he quickly moved him then removed the collar. But zane quickly turned away hugging himself not even talking. They took this as the sign to go away, once they walked out of the cell and far enough some looked toward dew.

"So if you can read emotions hows he doing?"nezumi questioned.

Dew just looked down shaking her head"right now sadness, hate, guilt, regret, digust and fear. Most of it probably directed toward himself"she said which just upsetted vance as he rubbed his head for a moment. He had to do something to cheer his cousin up after tonight. Then it came to him tomorrow he planned to grab some stuff from his home.

"Hmm if hes sad. Their something back at my dad place i wanna grab. Anyone wanna come with?"vance offered as cardin gave a thumbs up. While nebula shrugged her shoulders as they decided to call it a night.

But far off in the distance an atlas ship was soon making it way into vale airspace. Along with that far off into the distance running on all fours was conri as he swung from branch to branch. While he did soon enough he climbed quickly atop a tree as he looked in the distance seeing the coastline. The grimm knight grinned.

"I wonder if my escort will be their. Soon i'll head to that island and slaughter them all"conri said evily as he continued his way toward menagerie to kill the faunus leaders their.

Soon the morning sun quickly roze as already up for the day was vance. But he was already at the gate as he decided to skip breakfast today. With some others.

"So since we filled some of you in. you sure you wanna come with us?"vance said looking at their small group.

"I'm obviously going since I wanna cheer my boyfriend up duh"velvet retorted

"Uh duh because for starters everyone been dicks to the guy lately"akasha replied

"No doubt about that. Kid looked broken from what happened last night"tia added

"Your not wrong though surprised what you told your teammates this morning"Cardin said looking toward nebula who had an annoyed look. Team NDGO leader rolled her eyes for a moment as she held her sword in hand.

"Hey i told those two to not give him crap anymore. "Nebula replied

"You sure they'll listen to you and not go behind your back?"may questioned as the girl nodded affirmly.

"I'm our team leader they'll respect my orders no matter what. I'm sure of it"nebula replied. Port was with them with his hands behind his back. They needed someone to join them on their little trip into town.

"I applaud you all for what your doing. But don't forgot you'll have the best huntsman around. "Port stated produly to some annoyance if he went on another tale.

"We get it your the best can we get this show on the road."nebula said demandly

Nezumi nodded"yeah though today the day some of you head back to vacuo. Probably one of your teachers or our captains coming to pick you up"she reminded

"When are they suppose to arrive?"akasha questioned. Glynda pulled out a watch along with a note as she read it nodding.

"Its nine am right now it should arrive in about an hour"glynda stated as they nodded. Their group began to grab what they all need. But as they did yumi glanced toward the sky for a moment then down but glanced back up.

"Umm guys am i seeing things or is their an atlas cruiser in the sky"yumi said pointing to the skies. All them went wide eyed seeing the medium size atlas cruiser in the distance as it was slowly making its way toward the base. Nezumi rubbed her eyes because the inspection wasn't suppose to arrive till tomorrow.

"Thats not suppose to arrive till tomorrow. Did that captain call it in early to take the kid away or something?"nezumi suggested but vance thought about that for a moment. He wasn't going to let them take his cousin to jail without his aunt seeing him.

"I aint letting that happen, lets hurry up we need to split up."vance said as they quickly left the gates leaving some others behind. But as they began to walk down the street this confused them why they needed to split up.

"Why the heck do we need to split up?"cardin asked

Yumi sighed pulling her fans out to fan herself"for starters a couple of you are heading with me to colts gym"she said

"Wait that lawson guys place that uh i got kicked out of."tia replied which made them look at her wondering why she got kicked out.

"Why did he kick you out of his gym?"velvet innocently asked as she tried to refuse but sighed rubbing her arm.

"I got in a fight with that belladonna girl and blonde chick that went to your school. Said some choices words and uh…"tia begun but paused swallowing on phrasing it right.

"That you probably said something rude about faunus their?"vance asked knowingly as she was about to reply. But knew he read her mind as she nodded.

"You aint wrong…that why i might head to menagerie with you guys. Make amends with her then…visit lily grave. It was her home"tia saldy said as akasha patted her back gently.

"Thats fine but we'll try to make sure cat ears doesn't kill you with both her bare hands"akasha said but someone decided to break some news to her.

"Actually blake lost her right arm during the fall of beacon to adam tarrus"velvet sadly said which made akasha go wide eyed hearing that. She didn't know that ex of hers took her arm which angered her a little.

"That bastard….next time i see him or weaver i;m going to clobber them."akasha declared to the heavens. Soon enough they were walking for a while as they ran into a few grim. But quickly dealt with them in an instant. Then when they reached the crossroads to roman place and colt gym.

"Alright so whos going where?nebula asked

"Hmm i'm heading to colt place. Guessing where heading their to grab some things for him?"tia asked as yumi nodded but looked down.

"Also retrieving miss walker championship belt their on display. And some family photos"yumi said which just made tia freeze for a moment. Then internally fangirled to herself hearing that their retrieving championship belt of the reigning champ.

"I'll go too you'll need a shaprshoot to get any grimm in our way"may opted joining in

"Huh really i'll go too kinda wanna check it out. Meet back here in an hour?"nebula aksed as they all nodded. Their group of four went to the gym while the group of six went off toward roman place. It took them a bit as they had to deal with some opposition in the way but eventually they got to the criminals hideout.

Once inside the place vance just stared at his home that he lived in for the last eight years. They used to live in an apartment here in vale but some cops busted the place making them run. He just ran his hand over his dad desk as he wiped some dust away.

Everynight he be here planning their next little scheme they would go on. But he'd also be here filling paperwork taxes even which was surprising. He was a criminal but he rather not do tax evasion which amused him.

Cardin looked at with his mace at the ready"been here before but still can't believe the infamous roman torchwich lived here of all places."he said

"I know right when we came for help. I thought the guy would live in a mansion"akasha replied hoping onto a couch getting slightly comfortable.

Miyuki was with them which glynda was against but they promised to protect her at all cost no matter what. The winter maiden looked around seeing how empty the building look, it felt depressing.

"I'm guessing you had alot of memories here?"she asked

Vance was behind his father desk looking at the wall of photos behind it. He still hasn;t taken them down as he eyed the one from his birthday from three years ago. It showed him with his bike cypher their sitting on it grinning wide. With neo putting bunny ears behind him with lazuli waving to the camera. Roman kneeled next to him smiling as he placed his bowler hat on his bikes handles.

Vance sniffed rubbing his eyes"i do…he tired to his best to give us the best life. We did what we had to survive"vance begun as he just slide down a wall trying to fight tears. Cardin noticed his plee as the lynx ears flopped over.

"Their isn't a day that goes by that i miss him. I..i'm sure my sisters do…probably my aunt and cousin too. Heck even auntie lil malachite and junior"he said his voice slightly cracked. Port chuckled hearing those two names.

"Ah junior xiong of the infamous xiong family. Man is a crook at heart but i've met the lad when he was younger. Along with lil miss"port said as he walked over sitting next to the lynx as the old man back slightly cracked.

"Don't break your back old timer. Not surprised you haven't told a tale about them"Cardin replied as port gave a hearty chuckle.

"I know when its time for the dramatics and when someone hurt. It must have been terrible to lose a father figure"port somberly asked placing a hand on the lynx shoulder.

Vance looked up with tears slowly escaping"it was…i..i…had to bury him too…when i went looking for his hat"he said choking on his words. It made port startled hearing the boy had to bury his own father. Cardin just closed his eyes as the others were packing things up around them with care.

The lynx could't hold it in anymore it hurt having to find his dads own body in a destroyed ship. He went searching for him their but when he found his bodie he could barely recognize it. That day he cried for hour straight killing any grimm until he was exhausted. Luckily spidey and some others helped him along with burying his dads bodie.

"My boy a child shouldn't have to do that. But from the day the fall happened your father may have been a crook. His last act made him a saint"port said with pride as the lynx had tears streaming down his face lunging for a hug.

The old huntsman other it as he just cried into his shoulder for a bit letting the dam break. Port just consoled the boy pating his back as cardin just sighed hearing that. This went on for a little bit until vance stopped rubbing the tears away sniffing slightly.

"Are you feel better now?"port asked

"I am….thank for that. Surprised an old timer like you is so caring toward faunus"vance replied standing up helping the old man up to his feet.

"Like when we first met i'm not biggot. You all are just like any other human being. Now lets grab your things then head back to base."port said walking over as they began to pack thing up. But soon vance remerbed what he thought might cheer his cousin up.

"Hold up theirs a case here that i'm going to gift my cousin. "Vance said

'"Alright what the thing look like exactly? Because for starters their are like alot of cases and boxes here"akasha said gesturing to all the boxes and cases here. The lynx thought for a moment nodding.

"Its a pink and white case with baby sis initials on it. The thing was meant for her but Z could use it"vance said as they began to look around for the pink case. It was hard at first as they moved several things around the place to look for it. But where miyuki was she moved some boxes for a bit until spotting it. Their stood a swirled colored wooden case with golden latches on it with neo initials on it.

"Hey is this what your looking for?"miyuki said presenting the case walking over toward the desk. Without answer the lynx just undid the latches opening the case as they crowded around it. Inside it had red fabric below it while sitting nicely inside it was a wrist mounted device. The device in question seemed similar to a grappling hook it seems with velt to hold it in place but their seems to be a hidden blade underneath the wrist portion of it.

"Whoa. where the heck did you find something like this?"akasha said

Velvet carefully picked it up examining it"it looks like a grappling hook that can attach to someone wrist. Along with a blade hidden underneath it"she said but vance smirked taking it pressing a button underneath it. The blade soon came loose as he took it out presenting a pivoted blade.

"This little thing was meant for baby sis. But she didn't really take into using grappling hooks."vance said as he fired his rope dart from his wirst into a nearby wall. Then he quickly retracted it and quickly shut the case.

"Man pretty sure the guy might like that. Lets load up and see whats atlas is doing here"cardin said as they all quickly piled everything into a trailer. They attached it to vance bike as the lynx hoped on smiling as he caressed the throttle. Akasha pressed the button opening the garage door.

But vance decided to rev the throttle a few times as he sighed smiling"man i've missed the feeling of this."he said gushing over his bike. Cardin laughed slihgly because it reminded him of yang slghlty.

"Alright keep it in your pants let get moving"cardin said as they began to move out to meet the others. It took them a bit until they eventually got to the crossroads where they were waiting for them. But in tias hands was something that being a large belt that shined bright in the sun.

"Man this is awesome, i've never thought i'd be holding the championship belt. Along with it belonging to the savage huntresses"tia said fangilring slightly

Yumi groaned"quit fangirling over the belt. Seriously if you act like this when you see i'm punching you"she warned

Nebula noticed the others arriving"their you guys are we got all the stuff from the gym"she said gesturing to a duffle that tia had.

"Yes though let hurry a–'port was stoped as a loud roar could be heard close by. All of them froze slightly hearing that.

"That…doesn't sound good"velvet said

"I think were about to have company"cardin said as loud footsteps could be heard as they all immediately drew their weapons. Then from around the corner a large manticore emerged but it had a large burn scar on half of its face.

"Its manticore. Get ready for a fight"port stated readying themselves as the grimm let out a roar ready to attack its new prey.

Atlas is in vale now to do their inspection of the base. But zane created a new weapon to apolgize to for what he did but he can also sing. Though with how hes being treated this might soon send him into a mental breakdown. Song is dear god by aveneged sevenfold. Thanks for reading!
