Chapter 47:Prison break
The sky was clear for a bit as the birds chirped for a bit near the entrance to the town of deepwald. But over at the mines right now a battle was wagging on as several people could be fighting and screaming rushing the gate. As soldier tried to keep them off with their automatic weapons. But the rebel were slowly losing some men as the talon were scramblng with what they had left.
On the wall several soldier either were injured or trying to hold them off. But they were taking heavy hits as from the woods some snipers provided covering fire. They kept shooting the slavers as they either fell down injured or dead for some. But with ruby she was using her semblance to dodge incoming gunfire as she took cover behind a large rock. As she did ren slide behind cover with her loading in a new mag.
"We need to deal with that gate so we can push inside"ren stated
"I know! But we need to keep pushing forward were almost their!"ruby shouted back as gunfire filled the air.
Poppy jumped forward panting since its been a while since she been in a fight like this.
"Oh man…forgot how dangerous a warzone is. You think were able to make it into the camp?"poppy asked
The young huntresses glanced over the rock seeing the truck rushing forward toward the camp getting closer. But she noticed one soldier on the wall with what appears to be a rocket launcher in hand. She quickly took her sniper out taking aim as she steady her scope on them. With a pull of a hammer she loaded in an electric dust round.
Ruby took a deep breath as she squeezed the trigger as a loud gunshot rang out. The bullet travled through the air for a bit until eventually reaching its target. The soldier screamed as eltrciity cracckeld around him as he aimed his rocket launcher somewhere ele pulling the trigger.
The rocker went flying into part of the generator where the gate was. They exploded as the gate slowly crackle less with electricity along with a hole being blown in the fence. The two armored trucks rushed into camp as crudely placed turrets were on it as it began firing at the talon soilder.
They relased a few grimm from their cages as the beast roared at their prey as one lunge toward a truck. But the turret moved blasting the grimm away dead as it fell to the ground turning into smoke. The backs of the trucks opened as several people pilled out beginning to fight against the slavers as they rushed at them. Ruby smiled at this because they got an opening.
"Everyoneone charge the gap!"ruby ordered as she rushed forward with her scythe in hand. While ren and poppy followed her along with several others. They rushed into the base as they were quickly meet by opposition. A soilder fired at ren as he hit him a few times but only slightly hitting his aura. But he spritned forward jumping in the air kicking him in the side. The soldier grunted as he swung at the boy but he dodged his attack. He quickly slashed at him a few times then brought his machine pistol up. Ren fired a flurry of bullet into him just enough to shatter the man aura as he groaned pasing out.
Poppy rushed at two soldier who swung at the eldest arc sibling, but she slide underneath them as she pulled her dual swords out. She blocked a strike from one as she kicked the other that charged at her. Then she pushed the first back as she pressed a button changing her sword in her left hand into a pistol. She fired a few ice dust shots into him as the man bodie froze over slihglty. Then he fell backward covered in ice, she aimed her pistol at the second head as he roared charging at her. But she fired a shot as it froze his head over as he dropped his weapon trying to get free.
But as he did poppy helped him by kicking him the head into a metal pole shattering the ice. Then he layed passed out on the ground groaning. With ruby a couple beowulf lunged toward their small prey ready to sink their fangs into her.
Ruby was quick to the draw turning into a swarm of red rose petal, she went in the air quickly emerging with her sniper drawn. She took aim at one grimm firing a dust shot into its skull killing it, then she changed it into her scythe. Turning it around she pulled the trigger using the recoil launching her forward. The grimm raised it jaws to bite her but she quickly slashed the grimm in half killing it. She stood their as the grimm slowly disappeared into smoke as she looked around nodding.
They were doing pretty good but just hoped her father could distract that grimm knight and the talon commander.
Where nell, selket, maya and asher were the four were in shock right now staring at the siege below them. Reo was giving orders to his men as maya looked at selket for guidance.
"What do we do sister?"maya asked as she hummed at that.
"Hmm head to the bullhead i want you to wait for me so we can leave"selket ordered to their shock she even said that.
"Are you saying we should retreat we outnumber them with our siblings"nell argued
Selket giggle snapping her pinchers"percisly i don't like it but they can't get the lab results. The human shields can hold them off and i need to grab rho, along with my plaything. I'll be on my way to fetch her"selket stated but in the sky above him right now a crow was flying around cawing. Maya jumped down rushing toward the bullhead to prepare for takeoff but not before killing a miner quickly as she jump wrapping her legs around his neck. Then in a swift motion she snapped his neck as she took off sprinting.
As the crow kept flying around for a bit selket walked down the stairs but felt a threatening presence behind him. He quickly raised his blade as the crow remerged as qrow with a confident look. He brought his broadsword down on her as she blocked it with her pincher.
"Oh impressive, its a pleasure to meet you finally qrow brnawhen. I've met your wife…she the spitting image of that girl"selket said which made qrow fire a shotgun blast pushing her back as she slide but stopped herself.
Qrow presented harbinger changing it into his scythe as the blade extended as he tiwrled the blade.
"So you've met sum…good because i'm planning on living today to find her"qrow said in confidence as the two began to clash with each other. Dorian vertically jabbed her stinger at him several times widely as he blocked a few hits. A couple hits hit his aura but he held on strong as he pushed forward dealing a couple slashes to her. It tore some fabric revealing her chest but payed it no mind continuing to assault him.
Asher though just looked at the sight below him seeing the people he called friends trying to take their town back. But with nell he growled pulling the man by the collar.
"You dam idiot! we told you to find that dam freind of yours and kill him. Now hes swarmed out base you better hope we can kill them off or your women dead!"she spat with venom.
Asher slowly closed his fist in rage right now as he wanted to sock the women in the face. But from the side a bolt was launched toward them sending the two flying off the platform. They both landed with a thud as asher groaned slightly as he slowly got up seeing nell shaking her head.
As he slowly got up infront of him a hand was offered to him as he went wide eyed seeing percy standing their. He stared at him until percy spoke.
"You gonna take my hand or you gonna keep gawking….pal"percy said which made asher smile taking his hand as he helped him up. Asher brought out his gunbreakers as percy held a large wooden crossbow with the pickaxe end having a small wire on it.
Nell got up glaring at the two as he spit to the side since his gas mask was off slightly. shee reached over pulling her hook swords out twirling them before guiding them to the curved end making sparks appeared.
"You will pay for this, that women of yours will be dead now"nell threatend as asher slihgtly flinched at that but percy just smiled.
"I wouldn't be too sure of that"percy said as the two looked at him confused. Asher glanced as percy pointed over to where the slave pens where. He saw a few people smashing the gates open motioing for people to move out. They kept running through the gate as he saw poppy rush over to where maggys cage was.
Maggy stood up smiling"poppy! You all actually came to help us"maggy cried as her ear tiwthced.
Poppy tiwlred her sword slashing the coyote faunus lock opening her cage as maggy stepped out hugging her.
"We got sick and tired of these thugs in our town, now lets get you and everyone else out of here"poppy ordered as maggy nodded sprinting off with her to the hole in the fence. The rebel provided cover fire as the capitvie began running for their lives to the woods for safety.
This made the skinny huntsman smile as he presented his blades"time to get payback for the man you killed"asher stated
Nell just laughed at that getting in an offensive stance"i'd like to see you try vermin"nell spat
the three began to fight each other. But with ruby she just hoped this distraction would work to get inside the mines.
Earlier before the attack commneced around the mine right now was mercury, jaune, nora,frankie and pollax with some rebels. They were heading to the back entrance hoping to meet someone their. As they did they discussed the plan quickly.
"Okay you said once we use the entrance its a five minute walk until we reached into the main chamber?"mecury asked as pollax nodded
"Yeah once their, we should see if they have any people working in the mines. Me and my group will work on freeing them. If eli keeps her promise we can sneak into the place"pollax said
"Don't worry i'm sure she'll keep her promise"frankie replied with a smile which mercury picked up on.
"You hoping to find your girl here man?"mercury knowingly asked which made the tall teen blush rubbing his head.
"Yeah my CD, i hope shes still alive if so i'm going to smooch that sister of yours"frankie said which made pollax make a gagging motion.
"Don't put that image of my clone and you swapping spit, seriously you two always kissed or made out alot"pollax replied which made them laugh a little at that.
Jaune chuckled slightly"depsite that once inside we're heading deeper into the mine to find our friend. If their is some lab here its probably some tents and medical equipment"jaune continued
"Along with finding any intel we can on the grimm knights"nora reminded them humming while twirling her hammer.
Pollax nodded"if what you said is true and they might have something to stop them. Then this was the right idea"she replied
The group kept walking for a bit until they reached the back of the mine entrance which looked like a hole in the wall. But waiting for them right now was eli without her crimson talon mask on showing her face. But her uniform had the patch removed as she smiled at them.
"Their you all are when you told me you were going to attack today. I had to make an excuse up for my C.O. "eli replied as frankie offered a hug as she returned it.
"Don't worries about it peppers, but you sure the mine entrance here is safe?"frankie asked as eli nodded as she mtoioned for them to follow her. They did as she produced a flashlight as the rest did the same. Once inside they were met by the glow of several dust crystals as it left a beautiful blue glow in the cave.
Nora eyes shinned a little amazed at the sight as she was about to grab one but jaune stopped her pulling her by her shirt.
"Nora don't touch anything, remember we need to be sneaky"jaune reminded as nora puffed her cheeks up slightly.
"I know…but no one can see nora the ninja"nora said at a normal tone lifting one leg up in the air ready to kick something. But wobbled before falling flat on her butt to the others amuzement.
"Funny joke gingy come on"mercury said helping her up as they continued along the way. Pollax led the way but they had eli in front incase she was leading them into a trap. But as they kept walking pollax looked at her old friend tapping her on the shoulder. Mainly because she had an upset look on her face.
"Yo eli you good over their, you look pretty upset right now"pollax pointed out getting their attention as eli looked away covering her burn scarred face.
"She rights, what don't tell us your actually leading us into a trap"a rebel asked but eli shook her head immeidaitly.
"Hell no, i hated these guys after i did a few jobs for them. Seriously i'm glad to be betraying these bastard not after what i did to all those poor people over the years"eli replied rubbing her burned scarred face.
The atmosphere got dark as jaune soften his gaze guessing this women has helped commit several atrocities. But she had no choice since her family was on the line, the turncoat for the talon just had a somber look on her face.
Frankie sighed wrapping an arm around her"i know you told us early how you were sent to kidnapped people. But one stuck out to me"frankie said
"Oh and what would that be?"nora questioned still admiring the dust crystal pretty glow they gave off.
"That would be that bear faunus family you mentioned, why bring that up all of a sudden. Was it that bad?"frnakie asked as eli just slightly stoped but kept walking wrapping her arms around herself tight.
"It..it was…about two years ago i was sent on a routine mission in vale. Typically job but it was much worse than i thought"eli began her small tale of how she had the biggest regret in her life.
Two years ago somewhere in vale.
In the middle of the forest somewhere in vale it was a quiet morning just like usually. But near the roadside was a small group of talon soilders one of which being eli. She had her mask on as she loaded her rifle with a new mag. Then she cocked it back as next to her was their squad leader but he just creeped her out. Mainly because he looked like a grimm, he had beowulf like features that being his ears. That grimm being the grimm knight known as conri also designation as alpha. But someone else creeped her out that being some scorpion faunus who kept laughing to himself.
Tyrian kept manically chuckling to hismelf"when are our prey suppose to arrive i'm getting quite bored here…i might slice up some of our men"tyrian said licking his lips making some of the soldier back up slihglty.
Eli shivered too because she feel like she seen him in the news somewhere before but it wasn't coming to her.
Conri just snarled at him"stow your bloodlust for now, we need to be prepared for when that convoys comes by. "Conri said as a soldier hesiantly raised his hand as he noticed this.
"What is it you meatbag?"conri asked growling.
"Uhhh sir what exactly is this convoy were attackin…i'm not questioning orders…just curious"the soldier asked as tyrran walked over wrapping his stinger arond the man shoulder as he shudder in fear slightly.
"Oh don't worry just a small convoy of atlas soldier escorting someone. They always visit here sometimes we just wanted to see why. Our queen is curious"tyrian replied as he gently moved his stinger away from the man.
"Oh how i wish my selket was here with me, it wouldn't be a slaughter without her"tyrian said loving as his tail slightly wagged.
Conri chuckled at that"isn't she training that girl you two psychos adopted?"conri asked smiling presenting his fangs.
The scorpion faunus just grinned evily"yes, my little rosemary ah how i wish she was here to see this. Oh well i'll tell the two of my slaughter later"tyrian said
This made eli disgusted by the thought of that creeped having a daughter and a wife none the less. Whoever married him must have been insane like him, along with this daughter of his. But as they waited for a bit conri ears flicked a bit as he narrowed his gaze. He looked down the road seeing the small atlas convoy arriving.
Conri smiled motioing for them to stay down as they all did as ordered. As they waited for a bit the convoy soon passed them slowly as about six atlas soldiers and a couple huntsman were with them. But as they drove over a small dirt lump a soldier clciked a denators. Underneath the truck a bomb went up shooting the passenger truck to the side. The atlas soldier started to form a perimeter but the talon soldiers and eli opened fire on them.
Quickly two of them were killed by gunfire and dust shot as the two huntsman readyed themselves. One of them being a human with some tan skin and blue eyes with brown hair, he also had a musucalr build to him. Along with that he seemed to be in mid thirties as he wore a pair of blue jeans with a maroon shirt on with an open vest with fur on it. He also sported a pair of machetes
This was stu the father of piper and eden.
The huntsman roared as he swung his sword into one the talon soldier immedialty killing him as he had no aura. But from the side conri grinned licking his lips as he lunged from the bushes toward the man. The man went wide eyed as he blocked the demons strike. Stu was wide eyed as he pushed back firing his machete turning into a magnum at him.
"What in the name of remannt are you?!"stu shouted firing his shots at conri but he took them as he grinned at him evily.
"I am known as alpha…the beowulf knight…but you are my new prey"conri said as he roared lunging at the man as the two began to tumble for a bit. The huntsman just kept pushing him back as conri kept slashing at his aura depleting it quickly as he grutned. With tyrian he was manically laughing using his tail as a spring board launching into an atlas soldier. He dug his bladed gaunlents into his throat killing him as he fell over. Then he quickly stabbed another in the gut injecting his posion as the man slowly fell over.
The other huntsman who had a pair of dual daggers as he rushed toward tyrian charging. He brought his blades down on him but the scorpion faunus dodged them easily. Then he used his semblance to slice right through his aura stabbing him in the back. The man stood their shock as tyrian pulled his head back smiling.
"Awww too bad, better luck next time i wished we could play more"tyrian said as twisted his blade in his back as the man soon died. Eli kept firing at the soilder but didn't kill any of them since her aim was terrible. As she kept firing she watched as the weird grimm like man finally killed the other huntsman. He buried his claws into the man gut digging in their for a bit before tearing his throat out with his jaws. Stu just had tears welling up as he soon stopped moving as blood pooled below him.
Conri dropped him licking his claws"you weren't that much a worthy prey, now just lay down and die"conri said as he looked at tyrian nodded as the serial killer laughed manically.
Tyrian jumped onto the carriage like car opening it as some screams could be heard. Then he began to pull someone out from it as shouting could be heard.
"Get away from my daughter!"a women voice cried out but the scorpion faunus soon pulled someone out. He pulled out a small bear faunus with pale skin with brown medium hair, with bear ears on her head. Along with wearing a small green skirt and brown shirt. She had tears streaming down her face in fear.
"Let me go i want my mommy"piper cried for her mother as the scorpion faunus just tossed her down as eli was their. She caught the girl as she kept kicking and screaming for her mother. Underneath the mask eli just had a look of horror.
"What…what the hell..this isn't right…i didn't sign up for this"eli muttered to herself as conri heard her but jumped onto the carriage.
Then he pulled out two more people throwing them to to the ground that being another bear faunus who was eden. While the second was a women close to the man age as she had fair skin with green eyes as well. Along with bear ears on her head as well, she had brown hair that was long and reached her back. She wore a simple skirt that reached the ground colored maroon as she wore a tan sweater that was thin.
This women was known as mia the sister of mari
"You bastard! Why are you attacking us?"mia cried as conri pulled out the other passenger that being miyuki who was in fear right now. Conri looked inside the cart scoffing at the last passenger that being a thin elderly women with short spiky white hair and dark blue eyes. She was in a long dress skirt that was icy blue with two cats on the skirt embedded onto it. While she wore a light blue longsleeve shirt under a icy blue dress jacket that had a boar on the back in golden color.
This was fria the previous winter maiden unknown to them.
"All that left is some old women who looks on death doors, why are you with atlas soilder?"conri demanded as he squeezed miyuki wrist tight as she cried in pain.
"I..i..were just heading to see my grandmother off…she very rich is all okay!"miyuki cried as he scoffed throiwng her to the ground. They began to round the passenger up along with an injured atlas captain who was breathing heavy. Conri walked forward as he kicked up the huntsman with the machetes weapons he picked them up admriing them before taking them for hismelf.
He walked forward looking at the atlas captain kneeling infront of him"tell me why you were transporting them and we may let you live"conri asked but received a spit from the man as he whipped it off his face.
"Were never going to tell you anything freak"the atlas captain spat as blood dripped from his mouth.
Conri just sighed as he transformed the machete into a pistol then he brought it to the man head pulling the trigger killing him. This caused piper to cry as mia held her close as eden held her mother in fear along with miyuki. The four were sobbing a little as piper looked over wailing reaching over toward the other huntsman boddie.
"Daddy!"piper cried which made eli shiver slightly that was her father as she tried to keep her composer. Mia looked over at stu dead bodie as she wept for her husband.
"You..you animals! Your all going to burn in hell for doing this!"mia cried as conri chuckled thinking of something then smiled. But he walked over to eli which scared her slightly as he stood over her with his menacing presence.
"Did you kill any of the guards here?"conri asked as eli began to shake stuttering.
"I..i missed some of my shots…but..but that.."eli begun but conri stopped her dragging her over. Then he placed the pistol in hand then nodded to the soilder. They began to tear piper away from her mothers arms along with eden and miuyki holding them to the side.
"No stop! Don't kill my mom please..please!"eden cried out for her mother with tears streaming.
"Stop it! Just let us go we did nothing!"miyuki cried as conri then made eli place the gun at mia head as the women looked at her with fear.
"Your going to kill this women….if you don't we'll kill your little sister"conri said making eli go wide eyed under the mask as the gun shook in her hands.
"How..how do you know about her?"eli asked as tyrian laughed stepping forward.
"Oh he likes to do research on what soldiers he working with. For example hes an ex criminal who need some work. We decided to use his skill"tyrian said pointing to a random talon soldier.
A soldier sighed heavily"Cap the dam bitch so we can leave, we could use these three as test subjects"he stated as mia tired to break free from some soldier grip. Eli hand kept shaking as she had tears welling up as she took rapid breaths. After conri kept glaring at her for a bit she closed her eyes screaming as she pulled the trigger. A flash went off as it was silent for a bit until a blood curldign scream and crys could be heard from eden and piper.
Eli just dropped the gun as she shook slightly as conri then smiled then gestured for them to move out.
Present
Eli finished her story as tears streamed down her face as she hugged herself tight.
"I..i…killed those poor girls mother infront of them…they took them and that other girl to become test subjects. Their probably dead by now"eli said as jaune, mecury and nora eyed each other. They were about to say something until pollax announced something.
"Hey were here, get ready"pollax stated as they arrived at a hole in the wall. Peaking inside they could see a large cavern with some dust crystal sticking out of the ceiling and walls. But surprisingly the place was empty as shouting from where the entrance was could be heard. They all stepped inside the large cavern seeing mining equipment their along with some cages their. But something stuck out a metal door that was slightly large on the opposite end of the cavern.
"What the heck is that doing here?"nora questioned pointing at it.
"I don't know. But that area over their seems new i don't recall dad adding that to the mine"pollax said as they rushed through the cavern toward the metal door. As they did some people in cages saw them calling out
"Yo frankie that you!"a faunus called out making frankie smile rushing over as did the other.
"Steve your alive man, thought they killed all the workers here?"frankie asked as nora brought her hammer back smashing the gate in as the captives began pilling out.
The faunus known as steve shook his head"nah they kept a few of us arround since we operate the equipment here."steve replied
"Really? Well uh whats with the giant metal door here"mercury asked pointing to the door as steve shrugged his shoulder.
"Don't know alot of people go in their, we hear them screaming sometimes. But they took your girl down their man"steve said to frankie who went wide eyed.
"Crap alright, pollax you and the others get these people to the exit. Meet us their were heading inside to rescue their friend and my CD. "frankie ordered as they nodded as pollax looked at him.
"Please find her if you can…i pray shes alive"pollax asked as he nodded. Him , jaune, mercury, nora and eli walked toward the door. They tried figuring out how to open it but once they got close it opened automatically to their surprise.
"Why did it open?"jaune questioned as eli smile presenting something in hand.
"You guys remember that chick with the LED mask here."eli asked as they nodded as she presented an ID card that had the girl face on it.
"Alright then lets go, we gotta hurry before they noticed where insidejaune ordered as they nodded.
They began to run into the facility to their shock long hallways that were white in color dotted the place. Along with their being windows that showed the inside of some rooms, they passed by one as jaune a bunch of notes shredded around the room. It seems they didn't want them to find any intel on the grimm knights.
"Man this is weird, was this not here before?"nora asked carrying her hammer out as frankie looked shocked by this.
"No. what the heck is this place looks like some type of hospital or something"frankie asked shcoked by all this.
"My quess this is where they make the grimm knights, we gotta find selket private room"merucyr stated
"Well i don't even know where that is"eli replied as they kept sprinting down the hall looking for the surgery ward. Until they eventually kept running for a bit to their annoyance as nora groaned.
"Aghhh where the heck is it are we running in circles or something?"nora asked as they quickly rounded a corner. They were met by a couple soldiers and wisteria who looked at the group surprised. They stared at each other for a bit before the soldier began firing on them along with the researcher.
Jaune brought his shield up acitivating the ahrdlight dust as the bullets bounced off with ease. He nodded to mecruy who returned it as he brought one leg back then he fired off a shot laucnhing himself over them. Once over the soldiers where about to fire at him but he kicked his legs at them firing off two eltricty dust blast as it hit the two soldier. They screamed in pain as they slumped over.
Wisteria went wide eyed and was soon met by mercury tackling her to the ground. Once she layed on the ground the other rushed over as he pulled her up.
"Where is that psycho room!"he demanded as she cried in pain as he twisted her arm.
"I'm not telling you anything you dam trespassing"she replied
s they looked at her annoyed. Eli walked over as she presented a combat knife placing it close to the women throat as the women trembled in fear.
"Tell us were it is and i promise you might live in the next ten seconds"eli said pressing the knife agaisnt her throat as blood slowly dripped on it. The women closed her eyes until caving in.
"Ok! Ok! Its…its right over their"wisteria said pointing to the door they were at right now.
"Huh convenient thanks…not let her.."frankie begun but eli just slit the women throat to their shock. Mercury let her go as she tried to stop herself from bleeding out but eli spit on her face.
"What…but…why did you kill her?"nora asked shocked backing up scared as eli sighed at that.
"I've seen this women around camp she picks out test subjects to bring into the lab. She tore a little girl from her mothers arms then brought her in here. She never came back…she deserve to die"eli coldy said as she walked to selket room The four looked at each other before stepping away from the wiestia who bled out slowly in pain.
They all stacked up on the door as nora ready her hammer as jaune counted his finger down from three. He slowly counted down as frankie ready his assault rifle as did eli while mecury presneted his fist as jaune had his sword in hand. They waited in antipatation as he finally reached three. Nora threw her hammer hard into the door smashing it open.
The five quickly rushed in ready expecting a fight when they get inside. They were met by the two cells as rogue noticed them as she smiled trying to stand up but cried in pain.
"Sunshine oh your okay, we thought that psycho killed you"merucyr cired in joy but saw her current condition.
"If you count her torturing me everyday….then i guess i'm okay"rogue replied as they began to look for the keys as nora zipped around for a bit. Until she passed the shelf seeing if it was their but yelped covering her mouth.
"No…no…no…no"nora said several times scared which confused them. Eli walked over toward her confused.
"Kid what did you–"she was stopped as a gunshot went off as she went wide eyed feeling around her chest pulling her hand up seeing blood.
Eli fell forward as they looked at wisteria as she layed down dead dropping her psitol. Frankie rushed over pressing down on her gunshot wound to stop the bleeding.
"Peppers you alright girl?"frankie asked as eli grunted as blood seeped from her wound coughing.
"No..no…but that bitch shot me in the lung…i'm a goner right now"eli said as she coughed up some blood.
Jaune shook his head"no you can make it we can stop the bleeding we can–"jaune begun before glancing at what nora found. He looked disgusted seeing a couple jars filled with liquids and…eyes, silver eyes in fact.
Mercury gagged slightly"oh man that isn't right, seems this chick collects those with silver eyes…eyeballs"he said in disgust. But nora reached toward one picking it up seeing a name on it reading"Wu Shui"she hugged her it with tears forming.
"She…she attacked us…she killed him…she killed wu"nora cried for a moment as jaune embraced her from behind cosnoling her. Though she glanced at rogue cell because she wasn't losing another friend right now.
"Stand back i'm busting it open!"nora shouted as the other got out of the way as rogue backed up. Nora bashed the cell door a few times until it caved in. then she hugged mercury tight as a familiar fire sprit emerged greeting her.
"Ah their you are dear i was worried you up and died on me"ember said as rogue smiled as she took the gauntlet holding it hugging it kinda.
"I'm not done yet, but let me guess you got my gear?"rogue asked kwnoignyl as mercury slide a pack off unzipping to reveal his girlfriend gear. Immeidlaty rogue began strappined her armor on then her pouches and clipped her guanlent back on. Then she strapped her arm shield on looking at the initial smiling at them. Finally she grabbed inferno twirling it happy ot have her gear back.
Then she dug In Her pouch pulling out a tool as she placed on a panel on her collar. It tore it opened as it messed with the wires releasing her. She tore it off throwing it to the ground.
"That's better"rogue said rubbing her now free neck. But nora helped keep her steady since she was still very hurt.
casta looked up seeing frankie here with tears of joy as she got close to the cell bars
"Frankie!"casta cried as frankie went wide eyed hearing her voice as mercury took eli from him. He rushed over to the jail cell grabbing casta hands smiling right now.
"Oh baby your okay i thought you…what happened to you?"frankie asked as they looked to see the girls grimm light features and weird looking arms. Immediately casta pulled away hugging herself as a sharp pain went through her head.
"Oh..uh..i don't know…they…they did things to me here…i'm sorry but i'm not even human anymore"casta cried as she began sobbing a little. Rogue soften her gaze expecting him to call her an abodmiantion but he had the opposite.
"Baby its fine, we can find a cure for you. Heck even if you look like this i'll still love you no matter what. Now lets get you out of here"frankie reassured her which made her smile slightly. Nora quickly repeated the same process busting the door open. She walked out hugging him crying in joy.
"Alright since were done here we gotta move now before eli here bleeds out"frankie said but eli broke free of mercury gripp slumbing to the ground.
"I..i aint going with you all…i'm staying behind"eli stated to their shock.
"No, we aren't leaving you alone you still have a little sister to watch out for"jaune said trying to pull her up but she cried in pain as he let go.
Eli coughed up some more blood panting for air as her chest barely rised"i'm done for kid…maybe this is my punishment for taking that little bear faunus mother. I'm going to hell for this"eli cried but jaune knelt down with some good news.
"Actually no the little girl you mentioned she fits the description of someone our friend team rescue. "Jaune said looking toward rogue who thought for a moment until one bear faunus popped into her head, piper.
"Your talking about piper? You…you killed one of her parents didn;t you"rogue asked sonberly as eli nodded as tears escaped her eyes.
"I..i did…but..but are you saying shes actually alive…along with those other two?"eli asked with hope in her voice
Rogue knelt down holding the women hands"her sister didn't make it, but the other girl made it out. They turned her into a grimm hybrid but shes in menagerie right now with her aunt. She home"rogue answered which just made eli smile with tears of joy slipping away.
"Thats nice…you kid go i'm going to leave them a surrpsie"eli said pulling the back off her back opening it revealing a bunch of explosives and dust crystal. They nodded as they were about to leave but nora stopped them.
"Wait can we bring these…i know its weird but they deserve a burial"nora said gesturing to the container with eyes in them. It creeped them out but jaune nodded for a moment stuffing them into his pack.
"Their already gone but no one deserves to be treated like some sort of pickle"jaune joked slightly earning a chuckle from them. Though mercury noticed enveloped picking it up stuffing it in the pack as done they ran out of the lab but not before they gave eli a gently nod.
The women sat their smiling as she brought out a cigarette lighting it then took a deep puff exhaling feeling relaxed. She giving them some time before she blows these things up.
The six ran through the facility for their lives for a good twenty minutes until they arrived in the main chamber. They spritned through it toward the exit hearing large amount of gunfire infront of them. They saw pollax firing at a bunch of grimm outside the cave waving her arm around.
"Hurry up everyone we got em on the run!"pollax shouted firing her rifle at them. The group kept running foward to the exit as they saw them slowly winning the day outside. But as they did nora looked above noticing the rocks shaking loosely.
"Watch out!"nora said moving back out of the way of falling rocks barreling missing them.
"Thanks now lets.."rogue begun before a loud explosion went off deeper in the mine which meant eli denated the explosives. The rocks began to crumble as a cave in happened rocks fell down as mercury, frankie, jaune and casta made it out. But jaune and mercury went wide eyed seing rocks falling over the two as it trapped the two.
"No!"merucry cried as he rushed forward but the rocks soon tumbled over as it block the mines entrance. The group looked at each other as they ebgan to scramble to dig them out. They were now worried if the two might have perished inside the cave in but behind them the battle still waged on.
They were succesful in rescqueing rogue but it seems that her and nora are now trapped in the mines. While we got some backstory on eli who was the one who killed piper and eden mother but she seemed content hearing that little girl was alive. Though I wonder what will happen next!
