Chapter 53:Sister Lost
In the middle of the mining camp ruby was slashign through grimm with ease as they were dealing with the soilder. They were on a full blown retreat but they had one big problem right now. That being the sleket knight as she joined qrow in the battle with him. Ren was dealing with her as well but selket kept blcoking their strikes with ease despite her size she moved pretty fast.
Qrow gave a war cry as he slashed at selket but his blade bounced off her claw as she deflected his strike. shee then swiftly kicked him back launching him into some crates as he groaned as one fell on his head as his bad luck just hit him.
"Aww how pathetic, your just as miserable as that wife of yours"selket gaunted as she whipped her tail at a miner trying to attack her. But he was qucikly slinced as she cut his head clean off as he layed on the ground dead.
Ruby glared at her as her eyes slowly darken but she shook her head taking a few deep breaths. She was trying to mess with her and her apparent father. She just needed to keep thinking positive thoughts as she just thought about her days at beacon as she smiled slightly.
"Don't talk about my mom like that"ruby stated presenting her scythe as she pressed a button as it ignited in an icy hue as mist hissed off the blades.
Qrow quickly got up pointing his broadsword at her with a cocky look"i'm guessing my wife kicked your butt until you ran scared"qrow said which made the growl in rage at that. He touched a nerve as she slowly apporahced the three as they readyed themselves.
"I ran into that wife of yours, most of us original did as of late i heard poor zeta and theta are dead. Diego taupe and melissa bines were weak"selket replied making qrow go wide eyed hearing those names as tears began to form in his eyes.
"Two of them are defeated"ren questioned as selket giggled as her tail swayed around to mock them.
"Yes, but i'm alot tougher than those too. Zeta chimera always too excited for the thrill of the hunt. And that whore kept fighting for control"selket stopped before glancing at qrow presenting his sword with tears slowly sleeping away as she grinned at him.
"She kept begging to see her family…along with her friends…raven…verona….lee…and finally you. Along with her daughter"she add mocking him which caught ruby offguard slightly hearing about them. But qrow was upset because those two were very good friends of his.
"You'll pay….diego taupe was a very good friend of mine back at beacon. Along with meli…you'll pay for what you did to her!"qrow roared as he rushed forward swinging his sword at selket. The two blades clashed ocne agains as he as selket reached behind her for something. She pulled out a volcanic pistol firing into qrow. He got sent back slightly from the gravity dust round but he quickly disppeared behind some boxes. Then another crow emerged as it flew around for a bit before it went around a pole as he launched into her with his scythe out. Dealing several quick slashes tearing her dress slightly but she raised her claw to stinger to stab him, ren rushed in firing a hail of bullets into the grimm knight.
Selket got annoyed using her arm to block it as it pierced her skin but she shrguged her shoulder. Ren got close to slash her burying his blade in her arm but went wide eyed as selket grinned at him.
"Nice try sweetie"she said as she pushed back ren laucnhign him back as she grabbed qrow by the arm with her stinger. Qrow went wide eeyd as she began to toss him around like a doll. She smacked him hard into a pole as his aura flickered slightly. Ruby went wide eyed as she rushed in about to help him but crossbow bolts landed infront her. Maya lunged toward her as the stalker grimm knight tried to stab at her.
"Their you are brat, maybe if i kill you my queen will be happy"maya said opening her mouth to shoot her tongue at her. But ruby quickly used her semblance to break free as maya stood their confused slightly. Then ruby remerged as she raised her scythe slicing at maya who turned around. She backed up in time to avoid the slash but her mask fell to the ground revealing her face.
The women growled at that"you brat! That mask was handmade by my mistress!"maya cried in rage as ruby smiled tiwlring her scythe to intimidate her.
"Okat so what, aren't you scared of my eyes are you gonna run away again"ruby taunted her which made maya flinch slightly but she glared at her. She aimed her crossbow bolts at her firing a few but she defelcted the bolts back at her. They went straight for her as they blinked a little denating on impact. A small dust cloud formed as ruby coughed slightly until it settled.
As she coughed from the dust a black blur emerged rushing toward her as maya brought her blade at her. But from the side ren tackled her as he nodded to ruby.
"Go help him"Ren said as she looked toward qrow but her eyes sank. She watched as selket kept rhwoing him around for a bit slamming him hard into the ground. Then she watched him toss him hard into a concrete barricade as his aura finally shattered in a reddish pink. While percy and asher where ganging up on nell who roared at them. But for her something started to build up as a flash happened as she saw selket standing over her father.
The flash then made it show her pyrrha standing their facing down bonnie as she threw her off the top of beacon tower. Then it showed images of all the friends she lost back at beacon that day. It kept showing that until it showed selket ready to bring her stinger down on qrow who had a look of shock.
"No!"ruby cried as her silver eyes emitted a bright white light as they engulfed the area around them. All the grimm around the vanished just like that as maya and dorian went wide eyed. As close to the mine entrance was casta who saw the bright light shielding her eyes.
Soon enough the bright light died down enough as ruby stood their for a moment before she fell over on the ground. But something strange happened all the grimm were turned into stone statues but for the grimm knights it was something different. Maya was on the ground screaming in pain as her skin seemed to hiss steam. Nell was screeching covering her face writhing on the ground. While selket growled in rage right now as the same happened to her.
Near the mine entrance casta was on the ground crying in pain as the others were busy trying to free rogue and nora. Mercury kept tearing rocks off grunting digging like his life depdned on it while jaune did the same thing. Frankie tore another rock off but looked toward casta crying in pain as he rushed to her side.
"CD are you okay?"frankie asked as pollax slashed at a soldier kncoking him to the side. But went wide eyed seeing her sister name be called.
"Sis"pollax said smiling but she looked at her sister current appearance in horror as she just slowly backed up scared. Casta kept sobbing as her skin burned like acid was under her skin as something screamed in her head.
"Aghhhh stay away from the one with silver eyes"Rho cried in her head as casta held her head wanting the pain to stop.
With qrow he looked seeing the three grimm knight stills standing their as he was shocked he didn't disappear. Because someone with silver eyes should evaporate grimm in an instant. Them they were still standing looked in pain.
"What in the name of remnant is going on"Qrow said panting since his aura shattered. Ren looked confused as he looked at maya about to attack her but she growled before producing a ball like device.
"We need to evac!"maya called out as selket growled looking toward the mines with a dusgsuted look using her remaining strength to lunge for her. Quickly picking up the stalker grimm knight glaring at the group. As nell quickly regrouped with them as she held her arm because asher sliced her entire arm off as it spurted black blood. Maya raised her hand throwing the ball down as it emitted a blinding white light covering their eyes. They slowly opened them adjusted their vision as they looked to see all three boarding the bullhead with some soldiers and researchers joining them.
Percy glared at them""Cowards! Your running when things are getting tough because your afraid of us!"he taunted as selket growled in pure rage right now. But then had a twisted grin at the group moving her claw over her neck that she'll kill them next time. The bullhead then jetted off into the distance as the rebels watched this happen.
Asher then sheathed his blads before he looked toward the towns people he was tasked to protect for all these years as he had a somber look over his face.
"Hello…look if your all gonna beat the crap out of me just do it now"asher said as the rebels looked at each other.
Percy though just stepped forward as he pulled asher in for an embrace patting his back.
"Your okay ash, i know they had your girl but…you owe everyone here a round of drinks on you"percy stated as asher was stunned for a moment before returning the embrace sobbing in joy as he was finally free from those mercnarys. But with qrow he scrambled rushing over to ruby shaking her as she layed passed out on the ground.
"Kiddio…kiddio please be okay sweetie…don't tell me you went into another coma"qrow begged with tears forming as he felt her pulse but was worried if she was hurt.
Ren looked at the sight but looked over toward the mine entrance seeing a bunch of people starting to pull rocks out. He looked to see his leader with tears starting to form as he looked for his girlfriend. But she was no where to be seen right now which worried him.
"Nora!"ren cried out sprinting over as he reached mercury, jaune and some others pulling rocks out with all their might. Mercury kept digging as tears began to slip away from his eyes
"Please…please don't be dead…we just rescued you…not you"mercury cried
Poppy was grunting pulling a rock out huffing slightly"We need help over here now! We got people trapped in the mines hurry!"poppy said with haste as some of the rebels were rounding up the remaining slavers here. But alot of them rushed over and began helping pulling the rocks off to get to the people trapped inside.
Ren rushed over to see jaune with tears slipping away as he tore through the rocks
"No..no not again…we can't lose anyone else…not nora"jaune cried as ren started to slightly freak out as he began tearing at the rocks like a madman. As he did he just hoped nora and rogue were safe and alive.
But on the otherside of the rocks inside a small pocket as their were several rocks layered around it. Their layed rogue sprawled out on the ground as dust particles formed around her as she coughed a little. It was very dark in the area she was in as she felt a sense of dizziness over here.
Rogue sat up slowly rubbing her head as a sharp pain pierced it"ah what the heck my head…where am i?"rogue asked
The gauntlet on her hip gems illimued as ember spoke through it.
"I don't know kid, last thing i saw was us about to escape until a cave in happened. "Ember replied
Rogue rubbed her head for a bit"i..i remember that but i also recall being pulled ouf of the way by….nora!"rogue went wide eyed recalling she was with her when it happened. She began to desperately look around for her friend hoping she was okay and not dead. But it was so dark as she could barely see anything in here.
"Nora! Nora where are you?! Please tell me your okay!"nora shouted for her friend but not that far coughing could be heard. She turned around to see nora laying down on the ground before he and she was still alive.
"I'm…over here…are you alright?"nora asked coughing alot as dust wafted around her. Rogue rushed over smiling kneeling next to her grabbing her hand tight,
"I am thanks to you…but you shouldn't have done that your hurt"rogue said as some tears slipped away. She looked to see some bruised on nora luckily she wasn't pinned underneath a rock. But their was blood on her forehead as she kept gasping for air as her chest barely rised. This wasn't looking good as she felt her wrist feeling it slightly being cold.
Nora smiled slightly closing her eyes"why wouldn't i? I…i had to make sure one of my friends didn't get hurt. We already lost so many"nora weakly said as rogue just had tears beginning to form again.
"Ok..that uh fine..hang on i'll get us out of here"rogue reassured as she looked around for any way out. But she saw nothing except layers of rock which made he worried. Because she needed some expslovie to pierce through them.
She kept looking for any type of way out a small hole, gap or anything but their was nothing. Rogue kept looking for a way out as fear slowly set in she might die in here if their no way out. Not when she just got rescued and she can't lose another friend. Nora kept gasping for air as she kept coughing violently which made her worry. Without any other ideas she began to pound on the rocks to get help.
"Someone! Anyone! Please I need help my friend is hurt!"rogue shouted to the heavens hoping someone heard her.
But nothing came which just worried her she kept pounding on the rock worried she's going to lose another person she cares about. Their has to be a way out she just need to keep looking.
Rogue pounded on the rocks as tears slipped away"please…anyone…please I don't want to lose another friend…please not again"rogue cried as she placed both her palms against the rocks
Their was barely a sound their except for Nora small gasps of air as rogue just began to cry. She already lost soo many people she considered close friends that being pyrrha who was like a sister to her. Tanner who was like a best friend to her scarfieicing himself to save her. While her own uncle died saving her life. Her leader is alive now which makes her happy but she could lose nora now. Along with that she already lost so many friends at beacon russel, sky, dove, yatsu and fox. She couldn't accept losing anyone else.
"Not again…please not again…please"rogue begged as tears streamed down her face as she activated her semblance on instinct. Something inspected happen as her hands began to glow red hot. Then they began to slowly become coated in lava as rogue was still crying.
Ember was surprised by this before she spoke"hey kid, what's up with your hands?"ember said getting her attention
"What?"rogue asked going wide eyed to see her hands coated in lava. She was about to freak out but realized it was burning away the rocks as it began to glow red hot. The tinker narrowed her gaze as she focused trying to make it bigger as a giant red glowing circled appeared
On the other side jaune, mercury, ren and poppy were tearing away at the rocks like their lifes depeneded on it. While casta was sobbing in pain holding her head as her back began to bulge slightly as frankie tried to figure out what was happening.
"Come on…please be okay…don't be gone dammit!"mercury cried throwing another rock as he felt exhausted. Everyone kept throwing rock as qrow rushed over carrying the passed out ruby in his arms.
"Is everything alright?"Qrow asked worried as in his arms ruby was slowly stirring awake. She blinked a few times as she soon fluttered open her big silver eyes. The young huntresses looked around confused what was going on.
"Did…did something happened…did we win?"ruby asked as qrow looked down smiling happy she was awake right now as he hugged her tight.
"Everything alright but…i don't know kiddio i think your friends are trapped"qrow said which made ruby go wide eyed as she got up immediately and began to help dig for her friends.
"No..no..no"ruby said several times as tears began to form. They all began to dig away as some smashed their pixaxes against the rock to chip away at it. But it barely did anything as they were starting to lose hope. Jaune stood up clenching his fist in rage as he roared punching the rocks as he moved his hand back seeing his knuckle busted open.
"I can't lose another teammate or friend! Not like this…not again…please…please not again"jaune cried with tears escaping the edge of his eyes as he layed against the rock. But something surprising happened as the rocks infront of them began to glow red hot to their shock. Everyone began to back up as slowly the rocks began to melt away as a circular hole appeared as steam emitted off it. Soon enough someone called out for help.
"Help! Its nora…she hurts…please someone help!"rogue cried out as mercury and ren immeidlaty rushed in with some others. They rushed in then came back out holding rogue and nora, nora kept gasping for air as they layed her on the ground. Ren and jaune rushed to her side with tears slipping away.
"No..no….not again…nora please stay with us…please"Ren begged as some tears slipped his eyes again like before.
Nora looked up giving a weak smile to him"hey renny…i'm okay….i..i just need to rest my eyes"nora said slowly closing her eyes as jaune gripped her hands tight.
"No…no don't close your eyes please stay awake. We need a doctor!"jaune called out as everyone just looked at each other as no one stood up. He began to let the tears loose as ruby just hugged qrow for comfort as he soften his gaze. Rogue just had tears slipping away that she didn't get her out in time. Mercury just started to pound the ground in rage.
"Not again…we already lost so many friends…not like this…please stay awake…please"jaune begged as nora just began to slowly close her eyes as her breathing became small until eventually stopping. Ren just started to shake as he just layed his bodie on top of nora sobbing right now.
Jaune just stood their frozen as he just lost another teammate infornt of him. He began to let the tears hitting nora chest as he just held her hand tight. The knight just broke down seeing another friend die infront of him. He was so desprate to avenge their friends he didn't wanna lost anyone help.
"No..no..please don't go…not again…please!"jaune cried as something strange happened as his aura began to shimmer around him. He could feel something deep inside him boiling but he was to concentrated on wanting his teammates to be okay. But as he grasped ahold of nora hand tight his hands began to glow yellow in color as they all watched something astonishing happening. Jaune semblance actuated as in an instant nora gasped for air coughing to their shock.
Ren had a smile form as he looked toward jaune"what..what did you do?"ren asked
Jaune just looked shocked right now"i..i..i don't know…i think my semblance just activated. I'm healing her…no i'm amplifying her aura to heal her wounds faster"jaune stated in shock as poppy was surprised to even see this.
"Your…that amazing…this is your semblance"ruby said smiling whipping the tears away.
Soon enough nora sat up straight as her wounds disppeared as she just pulled ren into a hug.
"I'm okay renny"nora cheerfully said as he returned the embrace smiling. But as they sat their casta just cried in pain which made them all look at her. They watched as she began to move around for a bit holding her head.
"Shut up…shut up…stop talking…get out of my head"casta said as they looked like she was crazy as some were disgusted by her appearance.
"What the hell is that?"a rebel asked pointing their weapon at her.
"Seriosuly another one of those grimm hybrids we gotta kill it"another stated but frankie just stood infront of them shaking his head.
"No…no its casta…she just a little different just relax please"frankie begged but everyone wasn't moving their weapons away one of which was shokcing as pollax aimed her pistol at her own sister.
"Step back frankie, that thing isn't my sister anymore"pollax ordered which just shocked casta who shook her head covering her ears hearing her own sister say that. Rogue was weak but immediately got up grabbing pollax as she then socked her in the face with all her remaining enerrgy. Mercury rushed over catching her to their shock.
"What the hell are.."pollax begun but rogue shouted stopping her.
"Are you all just going to kill one of your own people just like that! Shes your dam sister!"rogue cried out as the townspeople just looked at each other for a bit as some lowered their weapons. While jaune looked at the poor girl who was sobbing right now as he got up walking forward brining his sword and shield up to defend her.
"What are you doing little brother get away from her"poppy demanded poitning to a spot next to her.
"No, are you all so heartless to not see she one of your own townspeople. Especially your her sister…despite how she looks you know that her"jaune said looking at pollax who looked away as her pistol shook in her hands.
Pollax paused hestiaitng to answer for a moment"that thing isn't my sister..its..its.."pollax couldn't find the words
Rogue soften her gaze looking at her"you know for a fact thats your sister but you don't wanna believe she some grimm hybrid. Thats the truth…all those people who are grimm knights probably never asked for this. I mean look at her"rogue added gesturing to casta who was holding her head sobbing uncontrollable. She could feel something digging into her head as she cried in pain again.
"It hurts…it hurts…please make the pain stop"casta cried as some looked to see her back starting to bulge which creeped some of them out.
"Uhh why is her back moving?"nora asked scared
"I..i don't know…is their something alive under their"percy asked scared as asher soften his gaze looking at his hawkbill blade.
Asher stepped forward with an upset look"kid you need to step away from her, that chimera grimm trying to take control"asher said as they all looked at him like he was crazy right now.
"Chimera grimm? Theirs no such thing like that in the books"poppy replied
"Your right…i don't recall port every talking about that every in class. "Ruby said but rogue pieced something togehter quickly along with jaune. The spine scar on the girl back and this so called surgery. Its to implant a grimm inside some back which means theirs a grimm inside her.
"Their…theirs a grimm inside her…that spine scar…its a grimm"jaune said shocked lowering his blade.
"Come on..please be okay CD…don't tell me your letting some thing take you over"frankie begged as casta heard someone voice ring in her head as she cried in pain.
"Give up already, seriously why do you keep resisting i'm going to take over eventually. If you don't soon i'll make you kill your family and friends"rho said in her head making casta go wide eyed.
"Shut up…shut up please…stop please…let me go"casta cried as soon enough she felt someone holding her close. Pollax was holding her sister close sobbing right now seeing her in this state.
"Your okay…just relax…we…we can find someone to help you. Maybe someone in atlas"pollax reassured but casta gave a small smile before she felt something digging into her brain. She pushed casta away as she scrambled grabbing a nearby pistol. Then she placed the barrel to her head.
"Whoa put the gun down and take it easy"qrow calmly said trying to deeslate this.
"Yeah…babie relax we can find you help"frankie reassured as pollax looked at her sister who had a sorrowful look.
"You…you can't…its fuzed to my spine..i can feel it…digging into my head. It never shuts up!"casta cried as she looked at her other half smiling slgihtly
"I'm..im sorry…this is goodbye"casta said as they knew what she was going to do. They rushed toward but it was too late as a gunshot went off. It was silence for a bit until an ear bleeding cry could be heard from pollax who reaches for her sister.
"No! Why would you do that?! We could have helped you!"pollax cried as frnakie knelt down next to casta bodie as she layed their dead on the ground. He just began to immeidatly break down crying his eyes out right now for his love.
"We should have came sooner…i'm so sorry…please come back""frankie cried cradling her bodie that was lifeless.
Ruby covered her eyes from the horrible sight as qrow looked sadden seeing that. While ren slightly frowned at that as nora sighed upset. Rogue just covered her mouth as mercury wrapped an arm around her consorting her. Jaune soften his gaze as he sheathed his weapons walking over pulling frankie away gently.
"Shes gone, but she passed on making sure you were all safe you.."jaune begun but the ripping and tearing of flesh could beheard. He slowly looked behind as they all looked at casta back beginning to tear open as her flesh was split apart. They all reeled back in horror as a grimm like bug emerged from her back also known as rho hissed at them.
"What the hell is that thing?!"percy shouted backing up in fear.
"Kill the dam thing before it try to take someone over"Asher ordered as they tried to do that as rho lerched forward crawling up jaune. The knight pushed it back as it tired to move its stinger into his face.
"Arghhh get this thing off me!"jaune pleaded as nora, ren and poppy rushed over trying to pull it off. But it wrapped its tendrils around his head tight slowly trying to slip him the tongue.
"This thing is very persistent"ren said
Nora grunted"yeah why is something so small so strong?!"she asked as she used her strength to try and pull it off.
"Get off my little brother you bug!"poppy said as they finally managed to pull it off jaune face as they threw it to the ground. Rho quickly got up hissing at them but was met by a boot stepping on it several times by pollax.
"Die you dam monster! This is for using my twin sister!"Pollax cried stomping on it several time until it screeched dying. Then it disappeared into a black smoke as they stood their for a bit. Pollax panted a little before her knees gave out sobbing for her dead sister. They seemed to defeat another grimm knight but someone who didn't want any of this.
Hours later everyone in town had reunited with their loved ones from the mines but they mourned for those they lost. Calypso was heartbroken hearing her daughter has died immedialty sobbing for her duaghter lose. While the town tried to lock up the crimson talon but they all committed sucide by capsule in their mouths.
But all of them were just recovering right now as most of them were having a small celebration at the tavern celebrating their victory right now. Though right now in the thantoso clinic they were doing something else right now. Because rogue was now in bed after finally having her aura come back as she was hooked up to a blood bag.
Reed was in the proces of finsihing up checking her over as he set his clipboard down.
"Their we are dear, i gave you an aura booster to help your injuries. It'll be a day until you get better. But you all should rest for a couple days before you leave our town"reed advised as qrow nodded with his side banaged holding an icepack on it.
"Yes but i can't thank all of you enough for what you did today. Our town is finally free of all those thugs"graz thanked but a somber look came as asher was next to him by his side once again it seems.
Asher placed a hand on his shoulder"we did loose alot of people. But they will be deeply missed we'll give em proper bruials"he said as graz nodded.
"Yes though you should have told us they had mags hostage. We would have understood."poppy commented
Maggy sighed in some fresh clothes now that being a pair of cream colors jeans with a purple sweater presenting her bust slightly. While she wore a piar of purple heels with a black vest over her shirt.
"He couldn't they would have killed me if he helped you. I'm so sorry"maggy apolgized as her ears flopped bowing to them.
Percy waved his hand at them"look man i'm very pissed you were working with them but…your lucky i know how much mags here mean to you. But you owe me a drink"percy said as asher just smirked at him presenting a wallet.
"Sure but they'll be on a few of those slavers wallet i snatched"the kelptomatic said as they laughed at that.
"Its nice to you on the right side again"jaune stated but as they sat their for a bit they decided to bring something up. What happened at the minutes early
"Wait i have a question what happened to my semblance?"rogue asked as they all looked at her weird for a moment.
"What are you talking about? Couldn't you always do something like that?"ren asked as rogue shoo her head as she concentrated her hands as they became coated in magma to their shock. Poppy pulled tina close to avoid her getting lava on her. While nora wanted to touch but mercury backed up to not get his legs destroyed again.
"Uhh i'm pretty sure you couldn't do that before sunshine"mercury knowingly replied
Ember was their in her full fire form cupping her chin then concluded something"because her semblance evolved from how she could only could create pools of lava and rock spikes"ember concldued to their shock semblance can evolve.
"Wait semblances can evolve I've never heard of that?"Ruby asked
Qrow laughed at that drinking a glass of water"no. Its actually possible for that to happen sometimes if can be related to certain events or they evolve with enough pratice. But you msot likely saw something you didn't want to happen."he replied
"Hes right, tell us what exactly made your semblance react differently dear?"ember asked as rogue thought for a moment.
This made her think about what happened at the cave in and when her semblance activated. It was when she was little after her uncle died when she saw her sister in trouble and wanted them to stop. She activated her semblance at the time and guessed which nora heavily injured. She was so depsarate not to lose another person she considers close just like she lost so many people during the fall.
"Well I didn't want nora to die..I couldn't stand losing another close friend. I begged for some way out then I placed my hands on the rock. Then they began to glow red hot then my palms were coated in lava sort of"rogue answered as ember clapped her nonexistent hands
"Oh that's wonderful it seems your able to generate intense heat from your hands. "Ember said excidlty as some of them decided to ask about jaunes semblance as well.
"Also jaune finally unlocked his semblance, this is awesome!"nora said hugging jaune who gasped for air as she relzied her mistake letting him go as jaune caught his breath.
"Yeah i coudn't belvie it, i thought you'd never unlock your semblance. Usually when you become a huntsman you need one to survive out their"poppy said happy her brother unlocked his.
"But that was so cool its like you can instantly heal people now"ruby said excited her friend unlocked his semblance. This made him eye rogue for a moment as he quickly grasped a hold of her hands. Then he focused very hard right now closing his eyes as soon her bruise on her cheek went down in an instant. Then her side didn't feel sore anymore.
Reed frowned slightly"well guess i'm out of a job now. You better not open your own clinic here"he warned as jaune slightly chuckled
"This is so cool, now we got someone to instantly heal us when were hurt."nora cheered again
Mercury smiled slightly thinking of the perfect joke"well as one guy that aint around anymore would say jauney boys got the magic touch"mercury said as they all bursted out in laughter at the small joke. Nora held her stomach lauhgin falling over as ren simply laughed. Ruby was giggling at the joke as qrow smiled at him doing that. They all were laughing but rogue just smiled at who he was talking about.
"I'm pretty sure my partner will crack wise next time we see him."rogue said looking confused slightly.
"Rogue he died…those grimm knights may have been lying"ruby replied sadly
"She right sunshine he dead, weiss and your sister saw a video of him dead"merucry said as rogue eyed the bag close by. Retrieving it she pulled the envelope out but erin glanced in the bag seeing cotnainers with eyeballs in them.
"Ewww! Why do you have jars with eyeballs in them!?"she screeched in horror as they looked at them for a moment. Poppy retrieved the three with a disgust look at three container with eyeballs in them.
"Okay are your friends psycho or something why do you have someone eyeballs?"popy questioned
Nora though quivered in rage slightly"we didn't have them that psycho deathstlaker did. She the one who killed wu!"she cried with a couple tears as they were caught offguard by that. But ruby glanced at one seeing one labeled "Demir Sage" then it clicked with her.
"Oh my god…t-those…those are people with silver eyes…she..she collected their eyes"ruby said shivering in fear right now if she planned to do that to her. All of them were very much caught offguard as percy gagged puking into a nearby trashcan.
"Are you serious? Because…who…who would even do that?"erin asked with horror
Ren glanced at the one labeled wu as he looked down upset seeing the man who took him and nora in as some sort of trophy. The calm boy closed his eyes sighing with an upset look.
"That women did…she must have been the one who attacked us. We should bury them"ren stated but the silver eyed girl pointed something out.
"Ummm one of those has the last name sage on it…could it…be bombays family?"she asked hesitantly.
Rogue frowned at that sighing"you mean the cat me and my actually alive partner faced in the doubles"she announced catching them offguard opening the envelop to reveal a photo which made them go wide eyed. Because in one of them it showed zane in his new attire standing next to cardin and vance. Another showed him in the camp back in vale with some of their others friends.
"Wait…these…these look like the huntsman base back in vale. "Qrow stated in shock looking at them
"Yeah and uh these are dated about three days ago. "Poppy added
Jaune just held the picture of his friend who he thought he lost as tear began to well up as he hd tears of joy slipping down his face. Reaching over wicning slightly grabbing her shield she layed it on her lap. Then looked at the many fallen friends they lost taking an axe out crossing out his smiling as tears dropped onto the shield.
"My…my partners actually alive…hes actually alive"rogue cried in joy as mercury had some tears let lose smiling.
"Thats fantastic to hear sunshine"mercury said walking over hugging her as she returned it.
Nora shook ren smilings as tears slipped away in joy"ahhhh! Our friends actually alive we didn't lose one of our friends actually"nora cried in joy right now.
Ren gave a simply smile nodding"that is great to hear after the last month"ren said smiling
Ruby just bounced up slightly in joy"thats great! I'm so happy i could explode right now"ruby said
But something was bugging qrow as he covered his face with tears present not for him but for two others.
"Guess your friend was alive…along with my buddy diego and….meli"qrow stated as his voice cracked slightly covering his face with tears running down it.
"Who are they?"nora questioned
Asher sighed looking down"my guess two other grimm knights. Word around the camp was that two of them were killed recnetly. Zeta or by his real name diego taupe….leader of team DAND."he sadly annoueced with an upset look.
Ruby soften her gaze looking down hearing her actually dad mentioned someone named meli.
"Wait…but…aunt meli died…eight years ago"ruby said with tear forming since she visited the tribes camp a couple times. The girl was upset walking over hugging qrow to comfort him as he returned it.
Rogue glared seeing that it seems all of them were affected by these grimm knights. But something crossed her mind the spine scar…zane has one of them inside him.
"But…but if they were taken over by that grimm…that means during the doubles round. When his eyes changed crimson red…zane has one. "Rogue announced with worry as jaune froze hearing that slightly. As all of them were caught offguard hearing that as they sat their for a bit. Though they soon decided to call it a day for today.
All of them returned to their respective dwellings to recover after today events. But for all of them they hoped that their friend wasnt lost to this grimm. Because they'll need to head to havan soon after they recover.
The group just heard of their friend actually being alive which overjoyed them right now. Along with running the talon out of deepwald but at the cost of someone losing her own sister. Though it seems jaune finally unlocked his semblance along with rogue evoling as well. Thanks for reading!
