Chapter 55:Aftermath
An hour past as the tribemember rounded up all those who they captured from vernals group along with freeing those slaves. While some others were going over their injured they had from the attack on vernal camp. Chairle did his best to treat those in need. While yang was groaning leaning against a log.
"Man that hurt so much…but man it is so nice to see you guys again"yang said smiling
"Same here blondie can't believe you beat her with your current condition"mindy said offering a fist bump as she returned it.
"You know me…when i get mad…i aint gonna lose. And she scratched my bike so yeah"yang replied
"i'm happy to finally see you guys after so long. Can't remember the last time we were together"eria said
"Yeah well uh happy to see you too its only been a few weeks"emerald aded nerovusly hoping they don't tell yang why they came to the patch.
"Well for starters its great to finally be back here. Can't believe you believed that dumb cpatain of mine words. I'd never betray our tribe"tock said with confidence.
Ryuu chuckled"don't worry tockers your good seriously i actually never liked the guy. He always pushed back to going to the wold ways a few times alot."he added
"True but i'm happy my kid safe but hearing you all took down a legendary grimm. Well color me impressed"iliu said still with an arm wrapped around jay right now who sat down as charile treated his wounds right now. While his little sister kept running around him smiling he was back.
"Though where are the others they should be arriving back soon because we need to imprisone vernals followers somewhere"Vlad questioned
"I don't know. My wife along with rae chased down that girl when lee escaped from his restraints. I hope their okay"dravan said with worry as he held luna in his arms. But haru close by coughed a little but this time more violently catching them offgaurd.
"Hey you good over their?"emerald asked
Haru wheezed a little"i'm alright…just have a pretty bad flu is all just need to lay down and…"She stopped coughing into her hand again until suddenly blood came up as she tried to keep her balance but lost feeling in her legs falling to the charlie rushed over checking her over as she had some small shallow breath.
Bashira looked worried right now"hey is she going to be alright? Because why do you none of you look worried?"she asked looking at them.
Ryuu sighed slocuhing down gentle picking her up holding her princess style"she…shes got incurable disease thats been breaking down her bodie for years. Come on let get you somewhere comfy my maiden"he sweety said as she smiled slightly leaning against him. The two walked off toward their tent to let her rest for a bit which just worried some. Though soon enough from the way the others ran off when lazuli left tock noticed the group.
"Hey their back! "Tock called out as it got their attention. They immediately began to walk toward crowding them slightly but as eria dn company pushed throug. Eria went wide eyed to see her aunt guiding lazuli forward who had a large coat wrapped around her. Falk had a look of shock right now guiding weiss who had tears running down her cheeks slowly.
"Weiss is everything alright. Did something happen out their?"yang asked concerned.
Weiss just broke free from falk hugging her tight sobbing into her chest as she wrapped an arm around her patting her back.
"Hey is everything alright. Did something happen out their or something?"emerald asked getting infront of falk who didn't answer. The pilot shook his head as she fought the urge to cry. Soon mai walked forward as charlie smiled walking over hugging her.
"Their you are dear seems you stop that uncle of yours from running off to give more intel to vernal"chairle said but this caused the women to visible flinch whimpering before hugging him.
"Dear what happened out their, is everything alright?"Dravan aksed concerned for his wife who stared at him sighing.
"Draven…not right now…i..i need to process something right now."verona replied catching him offgaurd she only uses his full name if its serious which made him back off. Though yang looked up slightly to see her mother approaching them with some tribememebrs behind her.
"Mom their you are what happened out….their"yang greeted but went wide eyed seeing what the tribemembers were dragging. On a makeshift stretcher was lee dead bodie as his eyes were closed. Along with his skin looking very pale and she could tell it was cold. Eria flinched slightly in disgust seeing a dead body fighting the urge to puke.
The tribe just stared in shock right now seeing another of their own dead it seems. Some of vernal ex bandits were shocked by him being dead guessing that raven did it for betraying her trust. While tock jaw dropped looking toward her leader.
"I..i..rae…what happened out their?"tock aksed shocked
Raven dipped her head with a somber look"we can discuss this later. Someone please bury the dead along with scatter his ashes. Back then he told us if he ever passed he wanted his ashes to be spread to wind. Might as well honor it"she ordered
Some of the tirbemembers began to drag his bodie away as it passed lazuli. Imemdialty she felt the same hot feeling rush up her throat as she gagged puking again. She began to hack and cough mixed with some small sobs.
"Are…are you okay…do you need to lie down or something?"eria asked concerned as the girl visible shook. Charile walked over as he felt her forehead for a moment feeling it be pretty warm.
"Hmmm seems she running a fever right now. I'll fetch soemthing from the medical tent to give her"chairle said quickly leaving since he didn't need to walk far. He dug through the small storage cottainer for a bit before finding some medicine for her fever.
"Here take this dear it help relive you of it"charile said offering a couple pills and a small cup of medicine. Without arguing lazuli took it but she just kept shaking like she was very cold.
Raven walked over placing a hand on her shoulder"go down to the nearby lake and wash up. I'll come fetch you later when your ready"she ordered as lazuli gently nodded. Then she began to walk toward the direction of the lake to wash up. Not before grabbing some spare clothes. But all of them just stared at each other for a bit.
"Okay what happened out their you all look like you saw something messed up"emerald asked the obvious question.
"Yeah and is she okay. Because she seems very trouble and why is he dead?"eria added very ehsaintly.
Falk covered his face sighing"look can…can we talk somewhere private please. I..i don't even know what to say right now"he said with a horased voice.
"That can be arrange we'll meet in my tent."raven said walking forward as they all followed her. They made their way to the tent as yang recalled it be a little spacious compared to last time. But they all just took seats wherever they could as midny helped yang onto the bed.
"Thansk mins"yang thanked
"No problem blondie though uh you guys you look like you saw a ghost?"mindey asked looking at the people who returned.
"More importantly what the hell happened out their. I thought we agreed no killing at all, their are some acceptions. But you said you'd be restraining him and ship him and some others to mistral"tock questioned as raven placed omen on her side sitting on her bed as it creeked slightly.
"Look i don't have the right to tell you what happened out their. I rather not have some of you hear it"Raven stated
"Okay that doens't answer our question at all why are you being cryptic?"bashira questioned pointing at her.
Mai sighed rubbing the tears on her face"we can't exactly tell you…because…well your just going to have ask your friend"she replied
"Why should we do that?"emerald asked confused but study their look for a moment. But then pieced it together seeing his dead bodie, which meant lazuli might have crossed a line that she crossed before. But it still scares her that even did it.
Eria messed with her prosthetic leg for a bit as they sat in an awkward silence for about twenty minutes. Which just made her wondered what exactly happened out their to her leaders family.
"Okay i'm just going to say it is lazuli alright? Because seriously why did she look so scared?"yang questioned making them avoid all their gazes for a moment even her mother did it to her surprise.
"Look the kid…the kid just troubled right now."verona asked holding luna gently but she held her for comfort it seem. The baby bat faunus hugged her mother wondering what was wrong.
"Although uh feathers has been gone for twenty minutes right now. Maybe we should check on her?"falk asked very worried right now.
"Your right look i'll go check on her you guys hang back"mai said getting up but surspingly eria and adam stopped her.
"Hold on i can go check on her"eria insisted as she stood up from her spot.
"I as well. Before any of you say anything you aren't able to think straight with your current emotions"adam said this exlcusvily to falk who wanted to argue but he was right. He just nodded somebrly hugging weiss for comfort who did the same thing.
"Alright the spring close you two know where it is"raven said
The two began to walk toward the lake to check up on lazuli wondering if she was alright. But adam just had a very worried look for how the girl is feeling right now.
Down by the small lake lazuli was just sitting in the water balled up shaking not from the lake. Luckily since it works like a manmade hot spring it kept her warm, but she just kept shaking from what she just did. The feeling of actually killing someone.
It just made her feel digsuted right now with taking someone life away. He was trying to kill her but it just made her feel terrible. Like a pit was in her stomach as she just wanted to be alone for a very long time. But now she understands what her cousin felt when he thought he killed had tears slowly running down her faces as her eyes ran out of tears.
"Why did i take this job…i should have just gone home to my family."lazuli cried quietly to herself wondering how her family would react to this.
"I..i should have just…grab my brother…then head to menagerie. But..but then they woudln't be alive. But why didn't you stop"lazuli asked herself wishing he just stopped she didn't wanna kill him. As she just sat their in the small spring crying to herself soon she heard someone call out to her
"Lazuli! You okay over their!"eria called out but first she gave no answer
"Lazuli!"eria called out again, this time she responded as she stood up drying herself off behind the rock as he responded.
"What"lazuli called out to them quietly but the two heard it.
"We were wondering if you were alright. Were all in raven tent, could you come their when your done"Adam voice spoke up as she looked down slightly.
"I'll be over their in a few minutes"lazuli replied which seemed to satisfied eria who was beinnign to walk back. While adam just looked back as he did wondering how she dealing with this right now. They didn't take lon until they got back.
"She's just finishing up she should be joining us soon"eria replied
"Did she sound okay? Anything strange?"raven asked softly
"No she sounded pretty normal to me"eria said
"She may sound normal but she may act very different when she comes here"adam replied which confused them.
A few more minutes past until lazuli came back from the spring emerging in the tent. But something was very noticeable from her appearance that being the two colroed streaks in her hair, the red for roman, the dark blue for zane. It showed her pure white hair that wasn't in her ponytail as it was let down reaching her hips. But it was still a little wet.
"Hey kid…you feeling alright over their?"mai asked concerned.
"Yeah feathers. Look why don't you sit down alright"falk added gesturing to an available spot on the bed.
"Look..i…i feel relived…alright"lazuli said but that didn't convince anyone. Mai stood up as she guided her to sit down as lazuli growled slightly at her.
"Just sit down alright. Tell us whats bothering you right now?"mai said
"Nothing is bothering me dammit. I'm just very tired from the last few days. Fighting a mythical grimm wears you down"lazuli replied trying to dissuade them.
Yang huffed slightly"look judging how your acting i don't know what happened out their. But you aint alright"she voice her opinion. Lauzli began to look the other way as raven took action kneeling infront her.
"Don't try to look the other way. We all know something is bothering right now"raven voice her opinion with worry.
"She right because its very apparent what might be bothering you"adam said voicing his opinion with a worried look.
"Yeah were just worried about you lazuli. I'm sure neo and vance would be too"eria replied softly making the thief glare at her.
"Shut up and get off my case. If your dam team stuck with my cousin he would still be alive"lazuli snapped back catching her offgaurd.
Falk was shocked her even saying that"lazuli…come on you couldn't predict for him and your dad to die. Don't blame someone else that had nothing to do with it"he replied with worrying putting a hand on her but she threw it off.
"Zip it you dam military drop out! If your dumb sister didn't chase that stupid scropian or that stupid wolf getting hurt. If you all stuck together he might be alive"lazuli said with tear slowly forming shaking in rage.
"Then my aunt wouldn't be grieving again…and then i might have not lost roman…my dad"lazuli continued choking slihglty which caught some offguard. Bashira quickly figured out who her dad was that being the infamous roman torchwich. While raven narrowed her gaze knowing she doesn't mean this.
Eria looked down slightly closing her eyes, she knows she doesn't mean it.
"Look were just worried about you right, i know your hurt but were just trying to help"eria replied softly.
"Quit getting on my case. I said i'm fine alright. I just want to go to bed and rest then forget this day every happened. "Lazuli sad not liking them teaming up on her right now trying to stand up. But raven pushed her gently back into her spot.
"Then what happened between you and lee? Thats probably what bothering right now and causing your emotion to run high"raven said. Almost immediately lazuli froze in place a moment before she looked away not wanting to meet their eyes.
It took a moment for lazuli to find her voice again before she spoke"we fougth. I chased him down tackling him a hill. We kept tumbling for a bit…taking a chunk of each of our auras. "Lazuli started but her voice cracked slightly as she was playing with her necklace not sure how to continue.
"We..we emerged at some stream…we fought for a bit until i gave him the option to surrender. So that he wouldn't get hurt…even with no aura…he..he kept coming after me"lazuli continued tears starting to form in her eyes. Adam had a feeling where this was going. Raven knew this look all too well form her experience.
"I..i..he kept shoving my head underwater…i couldn't breath. Everytime i got air…he shoved my head back underwater."lazuli continued starting visible shake at what happened next. Eria just looked worried because she seen this before, after the final round. Falk just looked upset even hearing this after what he saw.
Raven placed a hand on her should to clam her down as yang just stared dreading what she'll say next.
"I was low on aura…so i had to make a choice…i snatched his knife. Then…stabbed him in the side..he came at me..and.."lazuli paused a moment catching her rbeaht before continuing almost hesiatning at first.
"It..i drove it into his throat…killing him…it..was either be killed…or be killed. So…i..i killed him"lazuli fianlly said as eria gasped at that with tears starting to form. Dravan eyes just went wide as saucers hearing this. While yang just held her head in shock hearing her even say that. Mindy just looked away upset she even did that. For adam looked away as he could only imagine how she is feeling about doing what she did.
Mai immediately decided to pull into an embrace trying to comfort her after she helped her with her mothers second death. Lazuli had tears runnign down her face as she tried to help calm her down stroking the back of her ehad.
Lazuli cired her shoulder shaking"i understand…w-why he wanted to shoot kill himself now. I..i..i feel disgusted…why didn't he stop shoving my head underwater"lazuli cried as her voice kept cracking with each word.
Adam contemplated at what to say next as he only asked one thing"are you sure their wasn't any other way to stop him?"adam asked
Lazuli simply shook her head as adam sighed"then their really wasn't much of a choice was there"adam said. However falk glared at him walking over punching him across the jaw.
"How would you know?! Lazuli never killed anyone until now! How could you say their wasn't a choice you murder!?"falk bellow. Adam checked his jaws a small bruise formed.
Yang scoffed"the guys right, you had the choice not to cut my girlfriends arm off. But yet you tried to kill her friend, then she lost her arm"she growled with her eyes slightly turing crimson red.
"Becuse i was in the same situation as her when i was young too!"adam shotued getting their attention. He too in a breath to calm himself before recorrected himself.
"I went through the same thing lazuli did. When me and ollie escaped Atlas"adam stated in a much more calmer tone.
"Really? How? What you two kill someone?"mai asked still holding her glare on him and holding lazili close as they all listened.
"I didn't tell her or some of you this but when we were about to get onto the airship a couple guards stopped us and decided to have fun with us. We tried to fight them off even with my aura at the time it barely protected me from him striking me. Same happened to that bastard weaver. But for me when i was down he took out his gun and pointed at me as if he was going to fire. I noticed that he also carried a knife on him that was laced in anti aura metal. So right then and their i had to make a choice it was either be killed by this man or kill him and escape."adam said as he crossed his arms.
"Give that i'm still sanding here take a guess what choice i made"adam replied
"You…you killed him"eria said lisnte intesnly.
"Let me guess your old friend killed the other guard too?"dravan asked as adam said something trouble.
"I lunged for the knife knocking him back and…i ran the knife through his heart. "Adam admitted pausing for what ollie did.
"But for him he straggled him with his webs…and they were a faunus"he added to their shock slightly.
"So..wait…he..he killed his own kind?"emerald asked shocked hearing that.
"He did. But i didn't want to kill that man but it was either him or me. After coming to terms of what i did…i had a weak stomach and pretty much upchucked my entire stomach. Ollie though…he relished feeling killing someone…our own kind none the less"he said pausing for a moment.
"After that we got off the airship and made our escape. I was shaking the entire time and cried knowing what i did. Him he was just smiling…like a madman."he said with look of horror.
"Belive me when i say from experience…the first kill is…never easy even if you didn't want to do it"adam said fisnihing at what he said.
Lazuli heard what adam said as she gently got free from mai hold before approaching adam who didn't move from his spot. Just then lazuli emrbaced him wrapping her arms around him.
Taken aback by the sudden embrace adam was a little unsure of what to do in this situation. Adam looked toward falk as she motioned him to do the same thing as lazuli right now needed comfort. He slowly wrapped his arms around her frame and gently put the bottom of his jaw on top of head as lazuli cried into his chest.
After about ten minutes of lazuli not letting go she finally let go and stepped away as some tears were still present but she wiped them way.
"S-sorry about that i.."lazuli begun but raven put a hand up stoppin gher.
"No need. You need to let that all out after what happened"raven stated
Yang slightly chuckeld before giving a smirk to them"alright though two criminals love birds. Quite a shocker the two infamous crooks to comfort one another"yang said with a teasing smile as the two immiedalty blushed. Lazuli was half tempted to rip her hair out of her head for that tease.
"I swear if you tell my aunt i'll rip your hair out"lazuli said pretty embarrassed at the situation.
"Hey feathers i won't snitch…but they might"falk said
"Yes but don't look at me. I wonder if blake find you attractive for you terrible jokes"adam added which got a chuckle from raven.
"Honestly hes right you do make bad jokes. But you two including are odd for a couple"raven spoke which earn only a blush from lazuli.
Verona chuckled at that"yeah so is your daughter rae. Odd that the daughter of the branwhen tribe and daughter of the cheifitan of menagerie are dating"she said making yang blush slightly from that.
"Shut up! Tease those two not me!"yang shotued
"Alright enough of this teasing. We've had a long day but lets recoperate then cook up a meal tonight. Then celebrate how that sound?"raven suggested as they all nodded in agreement.
Hours past now as everyone locked up the bandits along with their fellow tradtiors as they were very hesiantnt on the ones who joined their side again. They kept them in jail right now having to expand it with keeping some of the tribe to watch over them just incase they try anything. But all of them were celebrating with a big feast right now. With wild game and vegetables and fruits they've grown in their camp.
But they were also celebrating one thing that being the defeat of the wendigo as yang was at a table with the others along with her mother. With the wendigos skull next to them close by like she claimed a trophy after a hunt.
"So you guys actually killed a grimm that has been alive for several years?"midney asked impressed still for her friend.
Yang hummed"we did though i did get a bit of help…though i dealt the finishing blow to that thing like it was nothing"she said proudly flexing her arm right now
"Well kid you probably are the toughest and menaest person here then. Maybe even tougher than your ma"dravan joked earning some laughs as raven kept her stoic look but was actually happy to see her daughter again after being apart for just only a month. Though to her its been five since qrow and her changed leadership of the camp at the time.
"Though i am proud that my little dragon is back here safe and sound"raven cooed slightly making the blonde feel embarrassed
"Little dragon?"adam asked almost smugly
Verona laughed at that"oh her dumb nicnkanme that her mom gives her on the account of how she blows up when shes anger. Seriously its like a dragon is raging through the continent when shes anger"she added
"Auntie shut up….your ruining my macho girl status I have at beacon"yang whined as raven was in the process of messing with her daughter hair.
"Really? Because your reputation also files under the resident punmaking duo of beacon"emerald joked slighlty as eria chuckled at that sighing a little.
"Yeah that…though still i'm sure you remember how i was established our teams new leader. After…well you know"eria sadly said to yang who noticed her upset look sighing hugging her friend suddenly for that moment.
"Its alright…i know it hurts alot of people are gone that day. Though don't worry i'm sure your sister along with mine are in safe hands right now"yang reassured which it slightly did for the moment.
"Yeah speaking of them whos with them extalcty and where did they go?"falk asked eating some food sitting awfully close to weiss which the blonde noticed wanting to wait for the right moment to ask.
"Oh them….we split up after splitting off from them on a crossroads they headed off to kuroyuri. Apparently those two teammates of that arc guy home used to be their until your tribe started rebuilding it"bashira answered which peeked their interest a little hearing those two are with them
"Nora and ren are with them?"weiss asked as yang nodded
"Yep those two decided to help us out after jaune sent word to them to meet their after the fall. Just incase they come up with a plan since rogue, him, merc and emerald here came to us"yang said as eria glared with a cold gaze toward emerald right now as she noticed this.
But she decided to keep her peace for tonight to prevent any cofnlcit and wanted to ease into the topic tomorrow.
"Beisdes that i'm sure you all are here for one reason being a certain maiden?"raven asked knowingly as the three nodded at her as luckily they were far enough from any prying eyes since the rest of the tribe were enjoying themselves right now cleebrating their victory against the bandits.
Along with cleebrating with the captives they all reduced as they planned to hold them here until sending a small band of warriors with them in their trucks to head close by to the ports to get them somewhere safe.
"We are….let me guess shes somewhere safe around here right now"bashira asked as a dreadful look came to ryuu face at that moment.
"Yeah my…my girl is a little safe right now. I just hope she can enjoy herself before she passes soon"he said with an upset tone which the three noticed.
"Wait…would that mean that…"yang coudln't even finish as her mother did
"That haru is the spring maiden. Right now were going to stay here with her until its time for her to go beyond the grave. When that happens well head immeidialty to haven to deal with the grimm knights. And hopefully put some out of their misery right now"she said which confused bashira for a moment staring at them weird.
"Misery? All of those freaks are monster they should be put down like the murders they all are"bashira said smugly before she earned several looks from some of the tribemmebrs around her. Mai glared at her with hate and malice right now as verona stared her down ahdnign luna over to her husband as she smacked her fist together. Vlad stared her down twirling a hunting knife in hand glaring at her.
What caught her by surprise was that raven was even glaring at her before she knew it the blade of omen was pointed directly at her throat right now.
"Heys whats your problem i'm just stating fact"she asked confused before mai walked over smacking her behind the head very hard making her very anger.
"What the hell was that for?!"bashira shouted with anger slowly boiling right now as she was met by mai pointing a figner in her face.
"Don't talk about my mom like that you dam brat! She wasn't a monster…its not her fault some dam grimm was controlling my mom forcing her to commit such terrible acts"mai cried right now in rage as tears formed in her eyes which earned confused looks from emerald and yang right now.
"What are you talking about?"emerald asked scared right now as raven walked over sighing before pulling away mai setting her down as charlie comforted his wife at that moment. Then she glared directly at bashira.
"Girl i don't care who you are right now. But learn when not to talk ill of the dead because my best frined i've knwon my entire life is finally at peace. Thanks to tarrus"raven answered which caught them offguard a little hearing that as bashira sat back down deicidng to pity them right now. For starters she doesn't even view these freaks of nature as people anymore not after what happened to her teammate.
Lazuli sighed messing with her necklace for a moment"well lets just say i've done some digging in the past month on the grimm knights and watts."she answered
"Wait is that were you've been for the past month? I got mail from some of the others in vacuo that says yumi is their since whinchesters is staying with her"yang mentioned peeking some interest.
Falk nodded collapsing his hands"Well when we did some digging finding out one of the grimm knights idneities being a goliath. Then well….god how do i put this"he said scratching his head trying to find the words as eria sighed heavily laying her head down with an upset look.
"That my leader spine scar is the result of a grimm being placed inside his back. That being a chimera grimm"eria saadly answered before a shock look came to yang face right now hearing that. As emerald eyes went wide before thinking about how shes ran into those grimm knights while working for salem. Their were a few of them that acted different at time.
Bashira had a wide eyed expression looking at the frozen girl right now"what are you talking about? I've never heard of a grimm like that ever existing before in my life"she asked confused
"Thats because its a new type of grimm mainly being that it has one primary function for what it does"adam said looking down as raven closed her eyes staring at the three new arrivals.
"From what has gathered these things are able to hijack a person motor and brain functions. They mainly do it by wrapping their tendrils around their cerebral cortex from the notes we gathered from the ship that remained"Raven begun her explanation before quickly dipping into her tent before presenting a picture on the table sldiing it over to her daughter.
Cautsiouly yang picked it up before going wide eyed seeing someone back torn open with a grimm inside them looking likes its burrowed inside their body. The blonde gagged placing it down.
"Oh what the heck! Someone back is torn open that isn't nasty at all seriously….ughhh"yang said in complete disgust as bashira picked it up flicnhing a little seeing it.
"So…your telling us that their part grimm because they have a grimm inside them?"bashira asked as lazuli sighed
"Yep…apperenlty their was one in my cousin. Main reason he had that stupid spine scar on him…their was a grimm inside him"she replied with a hint of sadness in her tone as yang thought about ti for a moment confused.
"Okay but how was he in control? Because….if that thing can take over someone body then how did he not lose control to it?"yang asked shocked before lazuli pulled out one of the empty syringes.
"The syringes he took from what doc told me work as a stun dart in a way. More like a tranq dart for these freaks putting the grimm to sleep in their back at that moment"she answered before pocketing it as they process hearing that for a moment.
But then bashira stared the picture before recalling something that her teammate and partner told her during the double round. How he changed perosanlity compeltty as bombay noticed him with crimson red eyes just like the one she ran into years ago.
Bashira laughed for a moment"well it seems your dumb friend was already gone anyway….so thank god that thing is dead"she said codly earning a glare from eria who had tears forming because she was just like leah when she was in atlas.
"I…kid how goddamm cold are you?! Because that was my niece leader and teammate which is just plain rude to disperect the dead"dravan growled smacking his hand on the table as surprisingly adam huffed glaring at her with his one eye.
"And along with that i've known that wolf faunus from what i gathered she was dating. That girl doesn't like it when people mess with her emotion espcially…"he paused before thinking about his old love for a moment sighing.
"Though i'm sure that girl is very hurt right now losing someone despite having another lover."he added still surprised hearing that girl had two lovers. But the leader of team BBNT rolled her eyes at them.
"Are you all idiots? Because let me see from what my teammates told me hes already was a lost cause"she said codly again earning a glare from yang who pointed her fist directly at her like she was going to hit her.
"Hey keep your mouth shut seriously i'm shocked by all of this but that was someone we knew"yang warned but she continued revealing something shocking.
"Oh well his eyes were crimson red during the double round….remeber"bashria said which made them freeze hearing that for a moment.
As eria glanced at her hugging herself right now hoping that wasn't the case probably guessing that he didn't take his syringe at that moment since if he did it could be suspicious during the tournament.
But lazuli was abosutleuly fumming right now that she slandering her family name"shut up….shut up seriously quit slandering my cousin name. Because i already lost my dad along with him again"She said before pointing directly at her face
"And my aunt and cousin are more than hurt right now going through this again. You weren't their i was just a little kid but i could tell she was very hurt when he died in that fire. So keep your dam trap shut some grimm wasn't controlling my cousin"she finished glaring at her but the girl rolled her eyes.
"Why should i? Because for starters my teammate bombay had a run in with that beowulf knight five years ago. After it slaughtered her entire family because of…"she paused before glancing toward raven for a moment guessing she told them about what those with silver eyes can do.
'Because of what you jerk?"falk asked glaring at her as she shook her head.
"Because her entire family was killed because they had silver eyes. That thing sluagther all of them in one night since someone viewed them as a threat"she answered to their shock right now upon hearing this as eria recalled what she heard about the silver eyed warriors.
"Wait…so…are…are you saying they were made to hunt down people with silver eyes?"eria asked shocked
But then lazuli thought about that meeting when she first found summer rose how she was on the run from someone. How their are people that were part grimm chasing her down to the ends of remnant.
"Probably though sorry that i'm just stating facts on the thirteen knights of grimm."bashira coldy added as they began to eat their fill of food at that moment.
After they got their fill of food emerald and bashira were going to be roomed together in their own tent since some didn't even offer the benkei girl a place to stay for her comments early. Though right now the orange glow was in the sky right now.
"Okay i seriously needed that after today. A nice meal to calm down"weiss replied
"Yeah i agree though seriously that benkei girl got a mouth to her"falk said with a growl in his throat as yang was being helped over to raven tent at the moment with an arm wrapped around her mothers shoulder.
"She does but i don't blame her, she hasn't seen what some of you have although….early mai told me you wanted your own tent for the night"raven said riectly to lazuli who looked down nodding. But as she did soon lilu pipped up
"Yeah well heres the bad thing sorry bull boy but your going to have to room with someone else. I need the extra bed their for my kid along with that letting a couple people i knew that were cpautre stay their till we get tents set up for them"she said to adam confusion for a moment before mai had an idea.
That was when she seemed to beat lazuli to the punch patting her on the shoulder.
"You two can share a tent for tonight. We'll see you all in the morning"mai said as they walked away from her giving lazuli a small wave. Lazili blunked a few times not sure what just happened but it would seem that their giving her and adam some space.
He sighed well knowing what they did"if were going to share a tent lets go. It'll be dark soon by the time we get set up"adam said. Lazuli smiled a little and follow after him walking next to him
Even though when they got their everything already set up for them in the tent with their only being one bed right now. The two saw this current situation as lazuli recalled todays early events for what happened.
"So we have to share a bed…great lets hope one of us doesn't have to run out of her getting dress"lazuli said sarcastically
Adam chuckled at that"and pray tell how did that happen? I guess someone you knew?"he asked as she sighed smiling.
"That being my cousin…heard from some of them that they caught him with that wolf girl in bed with each other. That hayley girl caught her threatening to freeze him…i hope my cousin and aunt alright"she said before adam decided to ask her something.
"I take it you really care about your family even if they aren't by blood"adam asked
"I do mainly because I got taken in by people who cared for me like their own flesh and blood. Like I said before my parents abaodned me leaving me to die to the elementals. But…well dad did his best on raising me. Though at first i didn't like him or my brother or my aunt family. But I do truly care about them and I just hoep their doing okay right now"lazuli replied
Adam let out a small yawn as he was starting to get tired from their rather long day they just had.
"How about we pick this up another time. We got some time to relax or train before we use raven semblance to meet the others"adam said replied as he went to sleep on the ground then grabbed a pillow
"I can sleep on the ground for the night"he said
"What about you? Won't you get cold we slept on the ground for two days"lazuli asked
"I'll be fine. I'm used to it"adam added
Though lazuli wasn't habing it she looked at the bed as it could almost fit three of her i it.
"Theres more than enough room for the both of us. And i'm not going to let this go"lazulia rgued back.
"You should have it"adam argued but that was when lazuli crossed her arms under her bust as she seemed rather adamant of not leaving adam out in the cold or sleeping on the ground giving him a glare.
Seeing this as a waste of time adam surprisingly relented and lifted the covers as he gesuted for her to get in first and then he would follow. Now in the bed adam back was facing away from lazili as so was her.
"Goodnight adam"lazuli said as her eyes were getting heavy and before long she was asleep as he heard a small snore from her.
Adam didn't respond right away as she was already asleep. He took off his eyepatch and placed it on the small table next to him as he too was falling asleep.
"Goodnight…lazuli"adam said as he closed his eyes drfitng to a deep sleep as the moons glow brighten than the night sky.
It seems that adam gave some words of wisdom to lazuli on taking someone life making them become ever so closer. Though it seems some people are on edge with bashira and her rude comments as of late. Thanks for reading!
