Chapter 61:The Dead Walks Around us
It was queit in the airship right now as everyone was in the process of getting up right now. As they were getting up from their uncorotmabtle slumber right now as cardin groaned stretching out his back with a very loud crack being heard
Cardin began rubbing his back"man i am not going to miss sleeping on this thing. A nice comfy bed sounds so good right now"he said rolling his shoulders out as yumi did some leg stretches to limber up.
"Same here though…wonder how yahto is doing right now"yumi said
"Eh i'm sure that guy is fine. Seemed like a loner but hey who knows what happened with them in the last month."coco replied as she rubbed the shoulder her cast was on. Eden was awake too but was trying very hard not to cry right now glancing out the window seeing a bit of the island out of it.
"I can't believe i'm going to be seeing my little sister again. Is bad i want to cry?"eden asked
Tia chuckled"kid you can let some tears loose right now. You've earned it from what you went through"she said as she couldn't hold it letting them flow out of her eyes in joy as miyuki smiled.
"I'm sure mari and your little sister will be so happy to see you. I'm sure she'll be surprised to see you alive. God that little girl will be so happy to see you"miyukis aid imaging the possibilities
Akasha smirked grinning right now"ohh i can't wait to see my ilia if she is with them. What if shes not with them…what if she with ollie still. What–"she was stopped as jae plucked one of her feathers as she yelped
"Chill out feathers i'm more excited to see my parents. I'm sure xander is too"jae said as the young wolf gave a bright smile
"I am lets just hope my dad doesn't…beat me up or make me spar with him as a form of punishment"xander whined as stepping up from the hold was zane and vance as the two had some bags with them right now. Once they got up bastet greeted the two.
"Their you two are i was wondering were you were. Because you've been sleeping down in that musty old cargo hold the entire trip. Are you sleeping alright dear you looked tired?"bastet asked concerned as zane rubbed his neck
"Fine just wanted to keep an eye on diegos body. Guy…always made sure i never cried back in that lab. Though…he did take some beating for me some women broke his jaw"he replied as he got some memories back as velvet eyed him with concern. She wanted to press but not infront of everyone right now to start something
"That sounds nice though…"vance said before the intercom came to life to speak to them but it wasn't good news more like terrible news
"We got a problem! Get up to the cockpit now!"the pilot shouted on the other end concenrign them as cardin, akasha, fenix, vance and zane rushed to the front of the cockpit. Once they got to the front they all five went wide in complete shock right now. Because far off in the distance they could see flames on parts of the island along with that seemign to be several grimm and attackers on the island. They were too late.
"No…no..no were too late. "Cardin said horrified as akasha hugged herself tight shaking her head
"God dammit…god dammit! Can this stupid thing go any faster because we need to get their now!"she demanded as the pilot was still flying as they flipped some switches on the console
"We have about twenty minute before we arrive on the island. I suggest you get ready because once we drop off the ladnign zone will be hot"he warned as zane looked outside the window before walking to the back of the cargohold with the others.
"Whats happening something happening with the shift or something?"naca questioned
"The island under attack right now we might be too late. But right on time everyone gear up now"zane ordered to their surprise as they all began to gear up for the coming battle ahead of them right now. As some of the soldier tore open crates containing dust clips and shards as they loaded up their gear. Along with some of the defector with them grabbing weapons at the ready
Yumi chekced her pouches for enough ammo before loading a new clip in her degale cokcing it back. Akasha grabbed her shotgun before feeding some shells into it as she racked a new shell into it. Cardin lifted up his mace at the ready placing it on his shoulder as he slipped a pack on
As fenix cracked his neck and knuckles at the ready as he eyed his wife and daughter"you two stay here its too dangerous for you to leave. Pliot make sure to stay away from the fighting"he called out to the co pilot who nodded returning to their seat. While zane grabbed some extra magazine pocketing them as he grabbed his kodachi blaes sheathing them as he clipped equinox to his hip. Then he eyed the skull balaclava mask in his hands
Vance noticed this"cousin if you have to wear that to hide your identity. So they don't shoot you"he said as he nodded before slipping on the mask as he changed personality completely before whsilting to get their attention as they still geared up.
"Okay we've gone over the game plan several times on our way here. Were twenty mikes out till we reach the drop zone. Stick with your groups and stick to the plan"he begun in a serious tone
"Group one known as savior will be heading off toward the direction of the house to rescue any of the faunus leaders and their family that are their. Savior 2 your tasked with assisting anyone near the entrance to the forest since that were most of the grimm are. If you spot any of the VIPS protect them along with any civlians"he continued before pulling out a syringe injecting it in his neck sighing in relief
"While savior 0 is with me as we head off to the orphanage. Primary target subject alpha may be their to kidnap a grimm hybrid not under their control. If you spot him three of you have some syringes to neauterlize him. Watch out for non hostiles and lets stop another fall from happening"he finished as some nodded at that getting ready as a few stepped forward toward him
"Dude this is just funny. Your talking like your some military commander rigth now"xander said
"Seriously guessing all that time with the military was worth it. How many did you do on anyway?"Cardin asked as he gave a shocking answer
"Around 23 missions in total for search and destory, hostage rescue, bomb defusel, recon, overwatch and HVI escort. And some covert ops"he casaually said stocking up on his gear to their shock as some jaw went slack.
"23?! Okay thats very shocking to hear right now but also very cool seriously anything else?"akasha snarky asked but he shot her a small glare
"Get your head in the game. No time for jokes and blair your staying here on the ship no back talk"he ordered as xander glared a little as after some time they reached their dropzone as the ramp came down as several faunus were running around from their attackers as the guards noticed them as some of them raised their weapons at them. But instead of attacking them they all rushed out splitting off into their groups beginning to fight the grimm attacking their island.
But right now across the island right now early was ghira along with some others at the moment. As mainly him with some of the guards on the island were protecting the faunsu civlians as they were trapped by some buildings. As the guards had a large line up of shields as the civlaisn where hiding behind them as some of the guards took pot shots at their attackers
But mainly right now their attackers mainly included white fang along with some of the crimson talon. As leading the charge was duke as he carried a rather large hammer on his shoulder grunting pointing at his soldiers to continue firing on them.
Though with ghira right now was his youngest jazmine with her pistol out along with neo. As zoey was their who was issuing orders out to her guards as grimm roars and screaming was all around them
"God dammit someone deal with these soilders now! And protect the civlians at all cost don't let them come through!"she ordered as some of her men were wounded as some of the cvilains were helping take their wounded away.
As one of the royal guard carried an injuried faunus soon enough a bullet whizzed by shooting them in the leg as they cried in pain falling to the ground.
"We got wounded!"A guard called out rushing to aid the injured as some of the other faunus did what they could. As shawn was with them as he eyed a nearby rifle as he hesiantly picked it up as he took aim before firing at one of the soilder. His shot luckily hit the shoulder in the arm disbaling him momentarily.
Jazmine smirked"good shot old man but seriously…their are too many of these guys. Who even are they?!"she shouted over the gunfire as a grimm was on the prowl on the rooftops above. Though it soon eyed its prey that being a certain mute as the capivara roared lunging down to snatch her up.
But as it lunged at her ghira stood up grabbing the grimm by the throat as he roared throwing it to the ground. Then he raised his foot stepping on it caving its head in as the grimm started to disappear into dust as he ducked back down as neo nodded to him.
"No need to thank me dear. Just watching out for our allies but zoey have you been able to get in contact with anyone else?"he asked as zoey tried to call anyone on her scroll as she went through all her contact as she shook her head
"No answer. They must be busy fighting them off as well right now we need to find the others before things get worse"zoey replied as he nodded as a couple of the soldiers where advancing on them but soon enough a shadow was casted over the two
Before they could even react the cracking of a whip could be heard as soon a whip was wrapped around one of their arms. As they looked up to be met by the bootend of ilia foot as she kicked them in the face knocking them back. The other soldier quickly took out a combat axe as they brought it back to slice at her. They swung but she quickly dodged it and in a swift motion did some backward cartwheels as she cracked her whip at them
Eleitricty crackled around it wrapping around their body before they lit up in electricity as they cried in pain. As it soon was let go as they slumped over as the first soldier got up growling lunging at her with a knife as they got into a tumble for a moment. The soldier got up ontop her trying to press the knife into her throat
The soilder laughed"little girl your going to die here today…you animals will be our highest paycheck yet."he said evily as ilia growled before reeling her foot back throwing it forward into the mans privates hard at that moment as he whined in pain a little right now as she tossed him over quickly snapping his wrist immboizle him
She spat on him"Screw you slaver"she said before gunfire was shot at her as she dove behind cover with the rest of them as zoey fired back with her shotgun at the approaching soilders and white fang as the guards and faunus helped where they could
"Oh ilia your okay…did you run into the others?"jazmine asked firing at some of the soilders
Ilia panted heavily for a moment"yeah…blake, sun, sombra are with summer and saber. While onxyia and the rest with each other. As for sienna, declan and akata…i don't know"she replied panting as they dreaded that.
Zoey ducked down taking a breath loading new shells in"okay we gotta hold out here till help arrives we need to protect the cheifitan and the civlians"She stated as she did soon enough their attackers began to advance on them. Until suddenly duke noticed out of the corner of his eye as a blur shot past him with a loud shotgun blast as the soidler began to cotninue their advance. Though the blur soon placed their hand on a nearby building as a blue portal appeared
A few of the soldiers and white fang stopped eyeing the protal confused until suddenly bursting through it was some of the despardos. Along with some of the other defector beginning to attack them. As one of the desaprdo lunged foward shooting into a talon soilder down to the ground. As one of the defector punched their former allie across the face as ghira and the others went wide eyed
"What the…okay guess we just got back up. Thats great who are these guys?"jazmine asked
"I don't but…wait a minute those are deasprdos. What the hell are they doing here?"shawn asked as soon enough from the swarm of people fighting jumping in the air ontop of a grimm was yumi. As the panda faunus stomped down on the grimm skull before blowing its head clean off. Then her ears flicked as she dodged a strike from a soldier swinging a sword at her as she kneed them in the gut. Then she elbow dropped them bringing her fans out ready to fight.
As next was someone that made neo go completely wide eyed with tears beginning to form. A familiar rope dart was thrown into a crimson talon soldier as vance yanked hard bringing them foward as he roared socking them in the jaw sending them to the dirt. Then he got hit from behind from a sneak attack from a white fang as he layed on the ground as they raised their weapon at his head
"Your going to die for playing a hero traditor"they said about to shoot him but then quickly neo rushed foward lunging at the faunus slashing at them several times. Before she then did a spin kicking them in the jaw sending them in the dirt as the two sibling shared a gaze smiling at each other.
Though as ilia broke from cover as she and duke got into a spat. The chameleon faunus swung her whip at him as it wrapped around his arm tight. Pressing the button it delivered an electric shock to the fuanus but he withstood it as he grunted as his skin had smoke on it. Yanking hard he pulled forward tossing her to the dirt as she cough for a moment glancing up as he raised his hammer to bash her skull in
Ilia closed her eyes preparing for the worst until a voice called out"Stay away from my girlfriend you dumb brute!"a familair voice called out as the girl heard the cracking of bones as ilia opened her eyes slowly. But went wide eyed immediately to see akasha on top of duke as she dodged his strike before reeling her fist back roaring uppercutting him in the jaw. Duke head whipped back as he stumbled a little from that previous attack ilia deliverd as he groaned before falling down with a thud. Soon enough they were pushing them back as they quicklyl regroup.
"Man…fricking jerk nailed me in the back of the head i–"vance was stopped mid sentence as neo tackled him to the ground. The lynx groaned but looked to see his surgant sister crying smiling into his chest right now as he returned it
"Heyya sis…i…missed you so much. Sorry it took so long"he cired as he stood up as zoey walked over quickly hugging him
"Oh fish eater your alive…god…i was so worried about you. What are you guys doing here you should be in vacuo?zoey asked as fenix walked over with a soldier in a headlock right now laughing
"We got word of an attack on your island dear. Ghira my friend we came with some help how you been old friend"he said as the man smiled at him
"Quite alright old friend. But we can't thank you enough for your help right now you came at the perfect time"ghira said. But with ilia her and akasha shared a look for a moment as the falcon sighed looking down
"Hey little ilia i…i..um–"she was stopped before the girl jumped up with tears locking lip with her at that moment as akasha went bright red lifting a leg up. Shawn went wide eyed in complete shock along with jazmine seeing her here as the two separated as ilia hugged her
"Your alive! He…he was actually lying! I…i missed you so much"she said crying
"Okay news flash a dead person is here right now. What the heck i thought you, xander, jae and everyone else was dead"jazmine asked as akasha was laughing to herself from that kiss as vance groaned
"We found her and several others trapped in a safehouse. By the way quick recap xander is alive and so is that jae girl. Shes in the ship circling us right now"he said poinint to to the sky as a cargo ship sped past as jazmine smiled as shawn was in tears
"My…my little girl alive. Shes alive?!"he asked in joy
"She will be if we win right now. Come on the others need help right now"zoey said as they began to make their way through the island under siege to get to the others right now to aid them. As they had several surprises for them.
Across town where the orphanage was right now several soldier and grimm were slowly advancing on it. But defending it right now was declan and nix along with some of the guards. For some reason they really wanted to get to it. James was inside guiding the oprhans down below to safety while colt had a shotgun in hand.
"Kid you take them downbelow, keep em safe"colt ordered
"Of course i will. But stay safe out their sir rather not lose yah"james replied offering a hand as he shook it.
"I don't plan on it, now get going"colt ordered as he rushed down below then he rushed outside. Once their a grimm lunged toward him but he chocked his fist back launching it back. It landed into some destroyed wood killing it as it disappeared into smoke.
"Get down!"a female voice yelled pulling him into cover as a hail of bullets came at him. The boxer looked to see sienna holding her side had blood dripping from it. While the one who pulled him down to cover was akata with her gunbreaker out.
"You gonna be okay over here?"colt asked worried
Sienna winced slihglty as akata provided cover fire shooting fire dust into an approaching grimm killing it. A guard was wrapping a banagded around her wound quickly to stop the bleeding. Sienna cried slightly as they pressed down onto the wound.
"I'll be fine…not the worst thing i've experience. But i'll probably be sore for a couple days"Sienna replied
"Yeah well they just keep coming. Its like a whole army is invading us right now"akata said firing back at some soilder then ducked behind cover again. Nix meanwhile was nothcing an arrow back friing at a couple soilder with an eletricic arrow as it fly through the air. It hit both its targets as they screamed before dropping to the ground passed out.
"Oh you think? Seriously who the hell are these guys they look like hired guns?"nix questioned
Colt took a quick look at their patches seeing their symbol"its those mercs under that arthur watts. Their probably here under that weaver kids orders"he replied
"That just great were dealing with highly skilled soilders. Today can't get any worse"akata said loading a new dust shot into her gunbreaker.
Declan swung his sword into a grimm hard as it tried take his head off. But he gave a hearty laugh stabbing it below the jaw killing it quickly. A soilder then lunged from the side bringing his sword down on him but the wolf was quicker. He quickly dodged it as he brought his fist back clocking the man hard in the face. The soldier stumbled slightly then declan grabbed him throwing him into a wall hard.
Two soldier rushed toward nix but she quickly undid her box pulling out both her knifes. Then she leaped over her cover as she jumped toward the two. One shot as her as her aura took a bit of the hits but her foot soon made contact kicking him in the jaw. Once she got to the ground he groaned as she quickly swiped at the other soldier who defnese got broke slightly. But he swung his combat axe at her taking a decent portion of her aura.
The leopard panted slightly but she gritted her teeth pushing back by headbutting him in the skull as a crack could be heard. Then she leg sweeped him then raised her foot stepping hard on their ankle as they cried in pain. Nix was panting heavily from all the fighting before retreating to where the others was. She jumped over laying on her back panting.
"Do…these guys ever quit?"nix asked panting heavily right now. Another guard went down from a soldier filling them with lead as they fell down dead.
Colt panted as well"i..i..don't know but they seem to be after you ma'am"he said looking at sienna who side was now bandaged. The guards were doing their best to protect the civilains but the remaining fourteen soldiers were advancing with a hail of bullets.
"Seems so probably after the belladonna as well. Let hope my foxy is guarding them with her guys"akata replied panting as she slashed at an approaching grimm quickly killing it.
"Though i hope my kids are okay…if their after them i…i ho.."Sienna was stopped by delcan placing a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.
"they will be my daughter and your partner is with them. We just need to hold out for help to arrive"he said in confidence
As if he made the call someone answered as the soldier were appraoching on them with a few grimm joining them. But as they kept approaching several loud gunshot rang out killing two grimm in the process. The soilders were confused as where they as they declan looked toward a nearby rooftop. Their was someone running across the rooftops with two dual pistol out firing upon them several times.
"Tango spotted open fire!"the talon litnenaut ordered as his soldier began to open fire on the new enemie. But the mysterious savior just hoped down rolling as a grimm came at him ready for its new prey. He was quicker to the draw firing several shots into the grimm till it was dead. Then quickly he ejected the spent mag loading in two new clips as he dodged and weave through the soldiers gunfire.
The soilder kept firing at him as he used a nearby building to wallrun across it. Then he leaped forward from it as he kicked a soldier into another causing them to stumble to the ground. Without warning the soldier began to try and overhwlem him as they delivered several slashes and bullet toward him cuaisng him to take some hits with his aura.
The figure just pushed forward hosltering one pistol as he pulled out a koadchi blade flipping it holding it backwards. Then he began to quickly mow his way through four soldier as he dodged one strike then slashed at their aura a few times. Then he kicked them into another as a third came at him but he qucikyl brought his pistol up. Then once he pressed on the trigger blue muzzle flashes went off as it covered the soldier head in ice falling over.
Four soilders jumped from behind trying to restrain him as the other six decided to continue advnaicng onto the building. But as they did several more gunshto rang out distracting them as from the side a group of people arrived. Declan glanced over toward their reinforcement but went wide eyed at who he was seeing. Because front and center of the group was his son with a pistol out firing at the group.
He watched as xander fired into a grimm several times as he took a few hits. But he quickly brought out his sword as he slashed at the grimm then rolled to the side. The young wolf then drove his blade into the grimm killig it as it dispepared into dust as it scattered to the winds.
Nix noticed declan staring at something seeing their reinforcmenets"huh guess we got some backup don't remember calling for any reinofrcment in merc gear"nix stated
"Yeah though uh those look like despardos…maybe it my foxy lynxy cousin?"akata suggest but soon declan just had tears annouicng something.
"My son lives!"declan cheered to their confusion
"What are you talking about your son died in vale. "Sienna argued but he just pointed toward their saviors. The group all looked going wide eyed seeing xander standing their with the soldier which surpised them. But nix just smiled because her friend was having tears of joy fall down his face as his tail wagged around.
"Guess your kid one tough brat. Lets deal with these soilder then you can hug him"nix said smirking as he nodded but they quickly took cover as the soldier kept firing at them. Though quickly jumping onto a nearby rooftop was may. She quickly got comfortable as she lifted her beanie up pulling her sniper out. Then she zeroed in her sights on a grimm attacking a guard trying to snap at them. But she pulled a trigger as a loud gunshot rang out killing it freeing the faunus.
The faunus quickly got up rushing to cover as she begin to take out any grimm and soldiers in the way. She quickly disptached another soldier with an eletric dust shot as one tried to rush foward. But then switching targets again quickly dispatching two grimm chasing down some civlians who were fleeing. The sniper smirked as she kept deciamting the grimm with her sharpshooting skills.
Colt though glanced toward the masked figure was struggling slightly in the dogpile until the soldier where thrown off. But he went wide eyed seeing someone covered in a familiar suit of armor. That being zane who was swung at but quickly dodged it quickly yanking on the soldier arm disabling him out of the fight. Quickly another two gave at him but he caught both their head smashing them together as a crack of their skulls could be heard as they slumped over.
Then finally he quickly kicked the fourth soilder who was daze to the ground, raising his foot curb stomped him hard knocking him out of the fight. Then his skin moved as he brought out equinox and a pistol ready to fight
"I..i..i can't belive it"colt said with shock
"What that where getting help and some kid from the dead returns"nix joekd
"Your not wrong i appreciate the help but i'm ready to pass out right now"Akata replied panting heavily with each word.
"Make that two dead kids….little z alive"colt said with tears escaping his eyes catching them offguard. Sienna glanced over their cover going wide eyed seeing her partner son standing their alive and well. The bengal faunus smiled slightly.
"I'm pretty sure two people will be very happy to see him"Sienna said
They watched as a soldier noticed it was him reaching for his radio"this is squad three we have eyes on another target. Subject omega has been spott in–"but he was stopped as zane quickly snatched him up as he kneed him hard in the gut. It caused him to keel over from the pain then he quickly elbow dropped him to the ground. Then he pulled his rifle sling up around his neck choking him until he went limp.
The other five soldiers noticed him training their weapons as they began their assult on him again. But he welcomed it as one soldier rushed in deliveirng a flurry of slashes into him with his combat axe but it did little to no damage. Quickly cocking his fist back he punched him hard in the gut causing the soldier to puke whatever was in his stomach from the force. After that he received a spin kick hard in the jaw sending him to the ground.
Another two soldier rushed in as one had a shield rushing in bashing it against him. It resulted in him being pushed back slightly but he growled as he reeled his fist back then launched it into the shield. It sent the soldier flying into a rock denitng the shield had as he groaned passing out from the impact. The second soldier tried to stun with him a baton but he quickly disarmed her in a fluid motion. Next he drove the stun baton into the soldier side making her scream in pain before passing out from the shock. But she occasinoanlly twitched slightly saying she was alive.
Then another soldier fired several shots at him but he quickly kicked flipped him back sending him back a bit. Zane then rushed forward body checking him as he came down into a rock. The litenenat roared with a murderous intent as he swung into him several times trying to kill him.
"Die you dam freak!"he roared but as he gave one final swing his sword shattered into several pieces. The litenanut looked at his shattered sword as he glanced at zane. Quickly dropping his armor he roared tackling him to the ground right infront of the orphanage.
They stared in disbelief at the dead man infront of them, colt coudlnt beleive his eyes seeing the kid he thought died was alive.
"Huh guess my foxy will be very happy to see him along with her mom especially"akata said as her tail swayed surprised to meet her girlfriends brother. The others soon walked over with the soldiers as they formed a perimeter.
Zane though dug his knee hard into the soldier back as he brought out a knife pressing it against their neck to some shock.
"Where is your commanding officer?! Along with subject alpha talk before I cut your ear off!"he said, placing the knife near his ear digging his knee hard making the man cry in pain. Colt was shocked seeing him even act like this.
The soldier scoffed"like i'll tell you….captain rupal…and alpha will kill all of you. In the name of our queen"he said grinning but he narrowed his gaze before the sound of someone radio could be heard.
"Sqaud 3 please report, if you've spotted the subject ,alpha is in the market district going after secondary asset. Respond over"a voice said as the soldier face drained of color as he smirked. Zane leaned down chcukling.
"Guess your lucky but have fun with a broken leg"he said before the soldier responded as snapped his leg as it looked very awkward. The soldier cried in pain passing out from his injuires. Then he stood up glancing at the group.
"I gave you orders to stay in the ship, its not safe out here"he said
"Hey i wanted to help, seriously i wanted to make sure my family w–"he was stopped as a pair of arms wrapped around him. Xander immediately looked at his father hugging him with tears of joy on his face.
"My son…your alive…your family has missed you dearly."declan cried in joy as his tail kept wagging. Xander just cracked slightly before returning the embrace tight burying his face into his chest crying.
"I've missed you too…i'm so sorry…i..i shoudldn't have joined the fang. I–"xander was stopped
"Its alright my son. You've realzied your mistake i'm just happy your alive right now. Your family has missed you dearly"declan said with joy as xander smiled finally being able to reunite with his family.
"Guess we gotta get rid of your gravestone now kid. Great to see you"nix said.
Sienna glanced at the group with them shocked right now"how are all of you here right now? Why are all of you here?"She questioned but was ignored.
Zane turned his attention to the soldier with them"you four your orders are to protect a protective detail here. Set up a killzone, make sure no civis and any of them get harmed"he said before glancing at them.
"Someone get her proper first aid, then regroup at the market district to finish off alpha. Savior 1 and 2 should be completing their objectives."he ordered as they nodded immediately got to work. A medic walked over hosting sienna to her two feet.
"Lets get you somewhere safe inside ma'am"he said while two others drew their weapons taking pot shots at nearby grimm. While the fourth reached for her radio.
"This is savior 0-5, VIPS secured one of them being the faunus leader. Over"she radioed as someone spoke through it.

But he turned with tears in his eyes"kid your actually a-alive..how are you even alive?"he questioned but zane began to cough severely. Then pulling his mask up he upchuked whatever was in his stomach as he spat to the side pulling his mask up.
Akata looked disgusted"now thats just nasty seriously you eat something bad"she said
But he ignored her as a grimm prowled close by lurking as it lunged at the quick meal. Though he side eyed quickly going into his goliath form grabbing its lower and upper jaw then with enough force he tore it in half as it turned into black smoke. Quickly dropping it he panted.
"Hey you good over their, pretty sure you should take a breather"may suggested
"No…adrenalines keeping me going. Gotta stop that dam mutt before he kills anyone. Call the others hes in the market district"he replied before aiming his wrist firing off with his grappling hook then sprinted off toward the market district. May ran off after him doing just that as the others stoo their for a moment.
"So are we going after him or what?"akata questioned as immediately xander sprinted off to join him. Along with her and declan to provide help but akata noticed those eyes…their the eyes of someone willing to kill anyone who stands in their way.
Although with blake and her group right now they were doing their best fighting off the grimm attacking them at that moment including the soldiers. As sun was using three golden clones actavitng his semblance as they all split up to deal with their opponents. As a grimm was pulling at a faunus leg trying to take them away but his clone rushed forward lunging around them and tiwlred its golden hue like staff cracking it upside the jaw killing it as it turned to dust
While the other two clothed lined a knuckleduster thug to the ground as they groaned and sun qucikyl dismissed them. Then he pulled vaulted over landing onto up them kicking them in the jaw panting for a moment
With sombra she was using her fathers spear the best she could as she jabbed forward driving it into a grimm heart killing it. But a soilder lunged at her with a stun baton trying to jab her with it as she side stepped it. The baton crackled in electricity
"Time to kill one of you faunus pest…maybe make a few of you our new slavers or test subjects"they said evily as she growled
"That aint happening eat this!"she said rushing forward as the soldier was assuming she was very stupid to rush head on. But as she got close she used the momentum of her spear to propel herself forward over the soldier to their surprise. As she wrapped her arm around their neck beginning to choke them out as they were knock unconscious as sun chuckled
"Man your like a special ops soldier over. Nice one"he compliemtned as she blushed slightly
"Thanks but we gotta help blake and summer"sombra said though sun eyes summer at that moment for a second.
As he watched the silver eyed women mowing through the grimm in a blinding blur at the moment as she sliced and diced any grimm in her way. But as she encountered a few of the attackers one of them tried to chop her head off. Though she slide underneath them and in quick succesion she kicked their leg out then spin kicked them dislocating their jaw down for the count. The other two jumped at her at the same time as she dodged one but got struck slightly by the other
Though she quickly returned the blow kneeing them in the gut as they keeled over slightly holding it. As she raised her foot crubstomping them down to the ground knocking them out as they groaned. Before the last one could react she grabbed their wrist putting preassure on it snapping it in half as she continued to fight like it was child plays to her.
"She'll be fine though that chick with the axe is a problem"sun replied as blake was in the middle of a power struggle with sangie right now as she grinned at the cat pushing back slowly.
"Well well seems i found one of my targets. Your wanted dead or alive…might as well bring you in dead"sangie said as blake growled
"Not going to happen. Ollie won't win…you won't win we'll stop you"She stated making the women laugh at her
"You and what army?"she retorted though as she said that soon a familiar sniper shot rang out hitting sangie in the side sending her back. Blake was caught offguard before going wide eyed to see velvet with crescent rose jumping down burying the blade into a grimm attacking a nearby fuanus.
While next up was cardin who rushed forward as he reeled his mace back hitting a soldier in the gut stunning them. Then he broguth his mace down onto their back knocking them down to the ground as miyuki dashed forward with her kitsune mask on as she began to slash at grimm. Lifting her hand she fired an ice shard into a grimm killing it instanly. As velvet and cardin got back to back with blake, sun and sombra.
"What the heck are you guys doing here?!"sun asked smiling
"We can explain later right now were here to help. We gotta push them back"velvet said in a serious tone as they nodded jumping back into the fray right now. But across town in the market distract right now was onxyia and company as her and nadia formed a permitert around their group.
As aruna was holding her crying baby brother right now crying his little lungs out from all the noses around him at that moment. While piper was burying her face scared into her aunt shoulder while katherine and kali followed as the cat had her weapon out. They were trying to avoid any of the chao around them and maybe find somewhere safe.
"Okay we need to find you all somewhere safe. Because were not fighting anyone with a baby close by"nadia stated firmly as aruna was trying to calm him down
"Please calm down…please don't cry…everything will be alright. Please stop"she begged as it was starting to attract some of the grimm nearby as a couple of them eyed the group down as easy prey. As they stepped forward one dashed forward trying to grab the baby faunus. But that was when naida stepped in reeling her bladed guanlent back burying it in the grimm head as it cried out in pain. As it turned to dust dying as onxyia dahsed foward with remorse at the ready
The wolf dashed forward as the grimm saw her as an easy prey trying to claw her guts out. But that just resulted in her dodging its strike before bringing the katana up as she sliced its head clean off its shoulders as it slump down turning into dust. Katherine noticed him crying sighing
"We can't control it we should head to the house."katherien suggested
"Bad idea. They might be waiting for us their right now we can cut through here. Then its a straight shot to your house the others might be their nadia"kali replied as they nodded cutting through a nearby alleway. Once they got to the other side they were in the market area as stall were adboaned or tipped over with people running around as the guards and miltia did their best to hold off the grimm
But once they got their kali glanced to her right for a moment before gasping in shock as her feet froze up. As the rest of them looked in horror at what their seeing that being conri who was in the middle of tearing someone throat out as he yanked hard with flesh in his mouth. He began to chew on it before swallowing it as aruna gagged at that
"Oh my god…he…hes eating people…oh that is not right"She said in complete fear as mari held her niece close.
"I..i…thats one of them…thats one of the grimm knights. And he looks like a beowulf"mari said in fear shaking as onxyia readyed remorse at the ready just incase standing infront of them
"Bombay mentioned him…his name is conri. Hes the beowulf knight and…he was at the fall he helped started it"she said as the grimm hybrid fisnihed his meal as his alpha beowulf where at his side as he began to have a scent fill his nositrl. He began to sniff the air for a bit before staring directly at them as he grinned showing his bloody canines
"Well….their you are my prey. Your going to be my next meal well…two of you aren;t"conri said grinning like a madman approaching them as he reached to his sides puling out two machetes that didn't belong to him but someone else. Nadia got in a defensive stance as onxyia and her stood infront of them as their only way out was infront of him. The grimm hybrid dragged the blades creating a deep grove in the ground
Onxyia narrowed her gaze"your not going to kill anyone here today. Your going to pay for using my bofyriend you psycho"she growled as her tai thrashed as conri grinned at her sending shvieing down some spines as he pointed at something on her.
"You have his scent all over you….omega dam scent is all over you. So…your his women…how cute your lucky i need to bring you in alive. Weaver wants a word with you"conri grinned evily as onxyia flinched at that before the man looked at piper who flinched seeing him beginning to cry her eyes out.
"Not the scary doggy…not him"she cried as mari held her niece close backing up not wanting to loose her. As conri smiled toward her
"Well theirs are new little sister as well. This will be easy since rupal is busy handling the rest of you. I'll be taking her now to become one of us let me do it and i'll make your deaths quick and painless."conri said bearing his canines as mari held a glare on him.
"Your not taking my niece again to be turned into one of you monsters!"she shouted back as he scoffed as nadia stepped forward presenting her clawed guanlents at him glaring getting in a defensive stance.
"Your not taking that little girl away like you did with my son. Hes dead because of you mutt"nadia spat as conri stared at her for a moment before beginning to laugh for a moment like a manic as he began to sigh smiling.
"Oh….omega body will be very useful to us now since we found it. He may be back soon under our control little brother will be with our mother soon enough. Our queen"conri said making nadia go completely wide eyed but knew he was taunting her as she growled rushing forward but was headed off by one of the alpha beowulf as it lunged at her trying to tear her head off as the two got into a fight
But with onxyia immeidlaty conri dashed forward bringing both blades trying to slice her legs off but she blocked it with remorse. Sparks flew as the two wolf like people got in a power struggle as she grunted as he began to push back. While his second alpha beowulf stood guard close by.
"Your very lucky i can't kill you….but that doens't mean I can take off one of your legs. I've tasted someone with dual traits before…they taste unique"conri taunted as she growleed pushing back cuaisng him to stumble as she upward slashed him cutting him on one of his legs. But he stared at it unfazed by it before growling
Then he lunged at her beginning to deliver slash upon slash at her but she blocked them from all her training with remorse for the past two weeks. The two of them were going back and forth as she needed to create some distance as she dodged one of his strikes as she decided to do it. Lifting up her right hand she charged a chi blast as she fried back into him sending him flying back a bit aways.
Conri began to tumble on the ground severely as he rolled on the ground as his body cracked around for a bit. Until evneutally he layed their on the ground limp as onxyia swallowed hard as this lack of sleep was starting to catch up. That one blast felt like it took alot out of her at that moment.
Though as she stood their seeing his lifeless body she smiled because she didn't want to kill anyone. But that isn't a person more like a monster but then to her shock he began to pick himself up standing up but his jaw looked dislcoated
Conri just grabbed his jaw with both hands as he began to try and jam it back into place as someone spoke to him in his head
"You need to be quicker. We need to appease mother by getting weaver on our side. Then we return with two more siblings she'll praise us"alpha said in his head as he growled snapping his jaw into palace chomping down on it a few times
"I know….i just need to disable that weapon of hers."he thought as he planted his feet before he dashed forward to attack her. At this moment nadia dodged a slash from the alpha beowulf panting a little as she was using her semblance. The shadow like figure quickly jumped ontop of the beast wrapping its arms around it throat as it tried to swat it off. But nadia bent her knees before hoping up under its jaw burying one of her claws under its chin. Then placed her revolver nova on the side of its head firing all the shots into it blowing its brains out. The grimm started to vanish into dust as the tiger panted glancing toward the other two fighting.
As conri lunged at onxyia who raised remorse for him to attack her. But instead of her he gripped the katana blade in hand as he grinned at her.
"This reeks of the tradtior scent as well…time to get rid of it"conri said before in an instant he put pressure onto it snapping the blade in half as sparks started to come from it. Onxyia went wide eyed as time seemed to slow down as the top part of the blade fell. Nadia began to rush forward to assist her fighting off some soldiers and grimm that stood in her way. As conri grabbed the wolf by the neck before reeling back throwing her into a building hard.
Onxyia bounced on the wall as her aura shattered in a black and white hue as she cried out in pain falling to the ground. Katherine called out to her daughter in tears as conri turned around to be met by nadia socking him in the jaw as time resumed.
"You son of a bitch! Your going to pay for coming here….your not taking anyone!"she shotued as she kept repealty punching him in the face. Until conri pushed back making her stumble as he grabbed her grinning.
"Your not being taken….but i've always wanted to try tiger"conri said opening his maw before biting into his shoulder as her aura shattered as she cried out in agony at that moment. As this happened a grimm like howl could be heard as a wolf life figure narrowed its dark blue eyes at its fellows hybrid.
It seems that things are getting intense with each of the groups finding people they thought were dead. While it seems that remorse was shattered because someone else has a bone to pick with these grimm hybrid. Thanks for reading
