Chapter 65:Permnant Home

Since ruby and company had arrived in deepwald they freed the town from their jailers as everyone was recovering from their town being under their control. Right now reed was busy as the pastor of the town had to give many funerals for the loved ones some of the people lost. But they also had several people from other kingdoms even along with some temporary residents. They were house in empty houses that were viable.

But right now percy took over as the mines supervisor as they tore down the base returning it to its normal look. An old dingy mine that would help the town have a profit instead of them making a profit for someone else. While pollax was greiivng heavily for her twin sister right now which was understandable. Asher was busy providing protection to the town like he did lone before.

Though with the others at the koda arc residents all of them were just enjoying the last two days off. They were doing their own thing as mainly ren and nora were spending time with each other enjoying themselves around town. But they had a burial for wu shui the best they could.

While for ruby she was getting pratice in like usually along with doing weapon maitnance. But for qrow he was busy now returning to some old habits right now like he used to. Their was also jaune who seemed very troubled lately as he kept praticing with rogue and mercury alot.

But it was a bright shining morning in the town as the mayor house as busy like usually with all their guest. Because right now they were eating breakfast to get their day started.

"Oh man i'm so happy we came here. We've gotten to eat actually food for an entire week straight"nora cheered smiling chowing down on her pancakes and eggs.

"Well we might as well cook something up for our guest. Along with the towns saviors"graz joked slightly enjoying a cup of coffe to get his day started

Ren was smiling a little drinking his tea enjoying some eggs along with some rice since he requested it. While for ruby it was some sausages and pancakes with a glass of milk. Mercury breakfast consisted of some juice with ham, eggs and some fruit. For rogue she had a decent size plate of eggs on her plate with four sausage links.

But for jaune he had some pancakes along with some bacon strips. But he hardly touched his food almost like something was on his mind as he kept glancing at his sash on his waist.

"Hey jaune are you okay? You haven't touched your food yet?"ruby said which snapped jaune to attention.

"Huh? Oh sorry just thinking about the last few days is all."jaune quickly said before driving into his breakfast but poppy older sister instinct were kicking in as she might talk to him later.

Rogue chuckled slightly"you mean how we hear about how my partner is alive."She said all smiles but someone reminded her of something.

"Along with you lying to us that you didn't run away from home"Ruby said narrowing her gaze slightly.

This cause her to become flsuehd embarrassed about that, because it seems the news is putting her face everywhere that her father put a reward on her safe return. Which was understandable but she also heard what happened to her sister.

Mercury sighed messing with his food"sorry red. wasn't letting her leave because she wanted to help stop these guys"he paused before closing his eyes.

"Along with stopping the people who took our friends."he added

Nora messed with her food slowling down slightly sighing" i know i miss them all everyday"she added looking down.

"I as well. But they all did what we choose for our profession right now to become huntsman and huntresses. Tasked to protect those even if we need to lay our lives down"ren simply said but didn't like even uttering those words.

A wave of grief washed over all of them right now hearing that because they all remembered the people they lost during the fall. For team JNPR it was pyrrha the girl who was considered invincible but was actually a kind soul.

For mercury it was cinder someone who watched his back while traveling with amber. He missed the two deeply regretting even assoaiting himself with that witch.

Rogue looked down thinking about her best friend who helped her with all the bullies back in sanctum. People bullied her and eria alot for being related to a faunus none the less. Then their was pyrrha someone she looked up to as an older sister. But lately she still gets those nightmares at times.

For ruby it was all her friends that she made at beacon academy. It hurts that their all gone right now but at least their one positive to this.

"At least we know where some of our friends our"ruby stated as they all smiled at that.

Graz nodded at what they meant"You mean how moore told us that appernelty their heading off to menagerie for some reason. "He said

Poppy shook her head at that"dear more like the faunus their are finally willing to stand up for what is right. I'm happy to hear that they'll finally get rid of that group of terrorist that have soiled their name"she said proudly cleaning up their breakfast for the day.

Rogue smiled hearing that"your right but…hearing that they were going to be attacked by conri. It worries me"she replied

"Though we also heard that our friends are heading their to stop it"nora reminded with a large amount of hope right now.

"I forgot about that. The news hasn's reported anything about the island being desotyed yet"ren replied

Mercury chewed his food swallowing it"true though anyone seen the apparent father of red over here?"he asked pointing his utensil toward ruby who frowned at that. Because she knows where he is somewhere he promised he would never go again.

"You mean how he started drinking again after promising he'll stay sober"ruby growled sligthyl in anger.

Back then her and yang made him promised them that he stopped drinking so much. The man swore he won't have an ounce until he meets her mother and his wife again when he finds her. But she noticed how upset hes been lately hearing about her aunt melissa actually being alive.

Rogue sighed as she placed her dish in the sink"look i get it your mad that hes drinking again. But i guess he grieving for two people he knew"She said looking at her cloth in hand thinking about her uncle sniffing slightly.

"Well from experience it aint the right way to deal with it. Dad turned to it…but he realzied his mistake rubbing his legs for a moment.

Graz noticed all their somber looks as he decided to try and brighten up histown saviors. Because it seems all these kids have experienced several things over the last few months. But its also something that will make them stronger over time.

Ren and poppy were cleaning the dishes as the man cleared his throat getting all of their attention. Poppy kept washing the dishes off as the man decided to drop some words of wisdom.

"What is it arc?"ren asked glancing over his shoulder.

Graz laughed slightly"young man call me graz. I appreciate the gesture but you don't need to be formal"he said as ren nodded

"But what do you need because me and them are planning to get some sparring in right now"mercury said pointing toward his girlfriend and jaune who looked at his brother in law wondering what he'll say to them. The mayor had a soft expression for a moment

Graz paced over to a chair bringing it over as he sat down infront of all of them near the fireplace.

"Look i understand your all very hurt right now with what happen lately. A tragedy like the fall is something troubling it can affect those in many different ways"he started as the teens looked away hearing that. But he looked at all of them because he can tell when someone needs some words of advice right now.

"But you may develop fears and trauma from such a event like that. Along with losing people very close to you weather that be a friend, family, teammate…significant other"he said this excluvisly to his relative as jaune eyes widden slightly caressing the sash on his waist.

Rogue was caressing her cloth around her hand lvoignly right now holding it close. While ren eyed his dagger his father gifted him all that time ago. Nora looked down slightly with an upset look hugging him for comfort. For mercury it was a necklace that had his symbol on it that his father made for him.

While for ruby she looked at her symbol on her cloak thinking about her alive mother. But also those they lost which still feels fresh right now.

"What the point of all this?"mercury softly asked caressing his necklace.

Graz gave a warm smile" that your all still here right now. Not letting something so terrible slow you down. It a learning experience in life that will help you learn from mistakes. Grow as a person because you can't exactly save everyone. "He continued before standing up looking at all of them.

"You've all been her for nine days almost. But you keep on moving because your strong. It'll hurt but the sooner you accep their loses it'll make things easier."graz finished off as they all listened to that part for a bit.

It still hurts that they lost their friend right now as jaune took those words for a bit thinking about pyrrha. What would she do if he was killed instead of her which made him think about what he'll do to bonnie when he see her next time. Because erin and reed might be her actually family.

Part of him wants to punish them to teach her a lesson for what he took from her. But he clenched his fist in rage thinking how his friends needed to be avneged. But how would they react, pyrrha especially seeing him want to resort to murdering knew she'd be disgusted with him even considering it, but that team took so many things from their. Right now he needed to think about this after they praticed outside.

They all sat in an awkward silence for a bit until eventually ruby broke it taking his words to heart for a moment.

"Your right…we've been through alot lately. But if we just sit down and start mopping around we can't grow from it"ruby wisly said

Rogue snorted laughing for a bit"heh yeah….part of me still mises big sis. But i'm pretty sure she'd be happy if i keep on smiling for her"she added

"Same for me cindy and her mom saved my butt. Hope she smiling up their with her mom"mercury added placing his necklace around his neck.

"Yeah even my parents i guess…even though they aint around anymore"nora said surprising them slightly.

"What happened to your parents?"jaune softly asked as nora hugged herself.

Ren took action immediately hugging her in a loving embrace remembering what nora told him what happened to her parents. But she seemed comfortable enough to discuss the topic herself.

"Yeah because let me guess…oprhaned?"merucyr asked as she nodded

Nora sniffed rubbing her eyes" my parents were…killed by bandits on our way somewhere when i was five. But uh i managed to escape after my mom…gave her life to save me"she started with tears beginning to form recalling that day.

All she could remember is her parents and her traveling somewhere to call a place home. Though it was a tragic day as bandits jumped their carriage killing her father as he defned them with his life. While her and her mom ran for their lives but one of the bandits struck her in the leg.

At that moment she wanted to bring her with her but her mother told her to keep on running and not look back. That what she did because as she kept running all she could hear where their screams until she wounded up in kuroyuri.

"But uh…i ran as fast as i could while they chased me down. I managed to escape eventually but it was raining that day pretty bad."she continued before her throat consitrcted slightly swallowing as ren just rubbed her back gently not wanting to use his semblance for the easy way.

Ruby was hurt hearing that happen to one of her friends but was happy their getting some stuff off their chest. Jaune was too because he seen their home being restored which means their are still some goods thing in their world.

Nora found her voice soon enough finishing it"but after that i found kuroyuri…fending for myself everyone thinking i was a nuisance. But not renny family"nora finished with a small smile wiping the tears away.

Ren smiled himself"i don't regret it. I miss my parents deeply but i'm happy for the life they gave me"he added

Ruby nodded"yeah though i wonder if yang is alright right now. I really hope blake is okay all the way in menagerie with that attack"she begun but unknown to her a certain glove glowed ominous as if ember was recalling something right now. As the fire spirit listened to the part about that blonde girl.

"Hmm what was that girl last name again…why does it sound so familiar"ember thought in the glove luckily they didn't hear her thoughts.

"Along with my sister and the shcnee heiress getting kidnapped. Which really sucks right now"rogue mentioned annoyed wondering if those two are in havan or mistral maybe.

"I heard about that although….asher does have some contacts in mistral."poppy commented giving them a possible source on where their friends are.

"Why are you bringing up that right now?"mercury questioned as the eldest arc sibling recalled something that kleptomatic told her. How he was friends with some famous boxer or something along with being friends of the current headmaster of havan academy.

"Oh simply because hes friends with some famous tiger boxer and the head master of havan academy"poppy said sipping her tea for a moment catching them offguard. Then it clued them in because they know one person matching that description.

"Wait…your talking about my partner mom"rogue said making poppy choke on her tea pounding her chest setting it down.

Graz looked a little puzzled by that"who are you talking about exactly dear? The women that moore knows is nadia walker also known as…"he was stopped as the teens finished for him.

"The savage huntress"they all said in unison as for a moment they laughed at how they timed it so perfectly. While they laughed for a bit poppy quickly figured something out that her brother mentioned long before of a certain uncle

"I get what your talking about. Torchwich was that mysterious friend asher mentioned sometimes when he got drunk"poppy said recalling something like that from a long time ago.

Ruby immediately got an idea forming in her head nodding because if they get to mistral. From her knowledge the spider gang is located in mistral or more importantly wind path. With the help of the tribe, the faunus of menagerie willing to stand up against the white fang. Gaining their support might do them some good.

"Wait do you think she owes any favors to the spider gang. Roman mentioned before how good of a friend he is with their leader"ruby suggested as they liked the sound of that kinda.

Mercury chuckled"i like the way you think red. Maybe that blonde sister of yours already is at havan"he added hoping that emerald was alright right now. But soon enough rogue let something slip that might peek someone memories.

"Merc right. Along with that i'm sure the infamous yang xiaolong. The punmaker of beacon academy will be alright"rogue said

Though on the table the infernal guanlent kept moving around on its own several times. It kept clanking around on the table several times as the runes on it began to glow very red hot as flames kept sprouting out of the gem. Nora noticed it moving around.

"Hey whats with her?"nora said pointing to ember getting their attention

Jaune scratched his chin"i don't know maybe she antsy or-"he was stopped as something happened. That being a large flame roaring out of the guanelent widely as they all jumped back from the flame. Though they could hear roars of rage coming from it catching them all offgaurd.

Immediately poppy dashed over to the sink retreiivng a fire extisughsher aiming it at the fire.

"Calm down you…fire chick!"poppy shouted spraying her down with foam but it passed through ember flames like they were nothing not even extigusihing her rage. The fire sprit had flames dancing off it widely before long she settled down.

But all noticed how he none emotionless eyes were filled with rage but starting excluvisly at one person. That being ruby who was a little scared right now why she was mad at her. Rogue was too wondering how her fellow weapon nerd ticked off her great great great grandmother.

"Okay what with you? Seriously you mad that we haven't asked about your glory days?"mercury sarscaitlly said but this earned a growl from the women as her flames crackled.

"I'm more than mad you insufferable moron! I hope your dam sister and her father are dead!"ember roared in pure rage which caught them all very much offguard. Because they were curious what exactly did those two too piss her off.

Jaune looked at her weird"what did she ever do to you?"he questioned annoyed

"Hes right because for starters they've never met your family up until we found your glove"merucyr jabbed taking a sip of some water.

Ruby kept a glare at this fire spirit huffing"my sister did nothing wrong. If you even touch a hair on my family head you'll regret it"She said grabbing her scythe pulling it out at the ready to desotry this glove.

Rogue scratched her head trying to rack her brain around this"seriously great…great…whatever grandma. Why are you so pissed off at my friend?"she asked until the flames started to grow more in rage as she revealed something from her past long ago.

"Because her ancestor kaiyang xiaolong was the one who put me in this dam glove!"ember cried in rage as her flames gently died down. But all of them went wide eyed at that revelation wondering if they were hearing this. Ruby jaw dropped a little hearing that as rogue blinked several times. All of them were caught offguard.

"Your…your joking right? Because that doesn't make sense"nora said innocently.

But a thought crossed mercury mind"well hasn't she been around for like hundreds of years. Are you blondie was the one who did it?'he asked hesaintly.

Ember stood their looking down as her flames kept flickering in the wind. The fire spirit was still seething in rage until eventually looking up with what seemed to be tears. Though what her form could make resembling tears.

"You wanna know how i got trapped in this dam glove. Fine i'll tell you about that dam xiaolong"ember started her long tale of misery how she became trapped in this glove. How she had to watch all her family members die over the years while she just watched still alive. As her flames painted a picture.

Many years ago somewhere in remnant.

It was four hundred years ago in the continent of remnant where no kingdoms still are founded yet. While in a rural village area that was made of stone and brick. The villagers where doing their best right now to survive the grimm of their time. Before their where any huntsman and huntress to protect them from these viles creatures.

Though wandering the street now was a certain women that being a ember hayley before she was cursed with eternal life. Her skin was fiar skin as she had bright orange eyes like flames, her hair was dark brown reaching her shoulders. Her build was slender with a modest bust.

Her attire consisted of a off shoulder lace up contrast dress colored bright red like fire. While wearing a corset that was brown in color, with a flame boorch on her collar. Their was also the fact she was holding someone in her armrs.

That being a baby with light tan skin with tuft of dirty blonde hair. Wrapped up in a blanket for warmth. This was her daughter solana hayley. The women was in her own world until someone brought her back to it.

"Dear are you going to be daydreaming all day?"a male voice said as she turned to him. Their stood a man in his mid early thirties with slightly tan skin, dark yellow eyes like the moon. Along with a musucalr build as he wore a simple brown tunic with some blue pants with boots. But he had armor on his forearms and chest along with a sword strapped to his side.

Ember laughed slightly"Sorry barak i'm just admiring our little girl is all"she said cooing over the baby in her arms.

The man known as barak chuckled hugging her from the side lovingly"i know you do dear, her older siblings are excited. Those dumb twins of ours seemed exctied to be older siblings"he replied

"I know they are dear. Because for starters were celebrating tonight aren't we?"she asked as he nodded. Because he had a bag in hand carrying some food they were planning to cook up tonight.

"Indeed. Shame that we sent word to your brother about this. Wish he could join us"barak replied

The two were walking through their simple little village as livestock lined some houses to provide the residents a proper meal. While their were people minding their own business trying to survive by the day. A few of them greeted the couple with smiles and waves.

An older women walked forward"hello you two. I heard the good news that you had another child"she said sweetly.

"Of course we did..meet my youngest solana hayley"ember said presenting her baby girl who wriggled slightly in her arms as ember held her in her arms rocking her gently like a mother.

"Well that nice. Still a mystery why you took your wife name dear?"the old women asked which made barak have an annoyed look then he pulled her over lovignly as she blushed slightly.

"Her parents said it was tradition in her family for those marrying into her family to take their name"barak replied which didn't seem to bother the older women.

"That very nice deary. Though would you like some baked good. I made some recently with the help of my granddaughter"she offered as ember stepped forward.

"That would be nice here let me-"She was stopped as an arm was put up.

"Allow me dear. You just enjoy the fresh air out here and keep fussing over our daughter"barak advised which made ember pause for a moment.

"Are you sure dear its no problem at all"she argued but he wasn't having it before rubbing her cheek lovignly.

"Its alright dear. It'll be quick then tonight we'll have a celebration besides i want to see what i'll take for myself"barak joked making her laugh slightly before giving an approving nod.

Barak and the older women walked inside the nearby building made of stone that was prusmably the bakery. While she just found a nearby bench to sit down while holding her daughter close. While she did she just thought about today.

That being their world right now wondering how long until they find something to protect them from these vile creatures of grimm. Because at some point she wished someone would make a group of people to counteract these demons that plague their farmstock and land.

Ember just sat their humming to herself as a set of footsteps were approaching her. But she didn't pay them no mind right now as she focused on her daughter. Ember had her figner wagging it above her face smiling.

"I'm so happy to have you in our family dear. I hope one day you'll become a fine young women"ember said holding her daughter in the air with the sun behind her head as the baby smiled slightly.

"Ah"solana uttered a sound reaching for her mother as ember pulled her close in a loving embrace never wanting to let go. Until eventually someone spoke up to the women to get her attention.

"Heyya hayley….how you doing over here you fine women"a male voice said as she had a disgusted look form turning to their direction.

Their standing before her was a man close to her age by the look of it with fiar skin along with having a scruffy blonde beard on his face. Their was also that he had blonde hair that looked slightly unkempt from the look and smell of it. He had a toned build to him as he seemed very built.

His attire consisted of a pair of brown pants with a black belt of a hammer pounding an avil for his emblem. While he also wore a tan tunic over a black apron for his forgeing. Along with a pair of heavy duty gloves with some simple shoes on his feet.

Ember glared slightly"hello kaiyang, what do you want this time?"She asked with annoyance in her tone.

The long dead ancestor of yang and tai xiaolong full name being kaiyong xiaolong.

Kai chuckled walking over getting too close for comfort as she backed up. But the smell of booze reeked off him meaning hes been at the towns local tavern.

"Oh nothing much. Just wondering if your still considering my off i gave you last week"kai replied reaching to touch her.

But ember stood up walking way from the man with a disgusted look. Because for starters she was married, and she'll never marry a man who abused his previous wife for simple reason. He gained a reputation around their village for that, lucky his sister moved away.

"For the hundrenth time no. i'm happily married and i have two and now three wonderful kids."ember said firmly which seemed to bother kai severely as he growled at her before keeping a forced smile.

"Come on. That bumbling oof is so simple minded. Always thinking of others when he should care about himself"kai begun as she just had rage boiling that he would talk ill of her husband who she loves. Kai got in front of her but he wobbled with each step he took.

"Besides i can provide you more since i do make an honest living. All he does is slay those dam monsters in our world barley worth enough money since its been a dry spell with them lately."he continued before reaching out groping her chest making her just glare at him shaking in rage.

Kai hiccuped slightly"plus you got a nice body–"he was stopped as someone grabbed him dragging the man. It was barak as he threw the man into a pigpen full of pigs. Kai landed face down in the pen glancing up with mud and perusambly pig slop all over his clothes and face.

Kai growled"whats your problem you dam bastard!?"kai shotued in rage but barak just drew sword as it gleaned in the sunlight like a proud protector.

"Don't ever touch my wife again! If i ever catch you near my home or my kids you'll pay with your life"barak warned but he wasn't fazed as kai tried to stand up but fell face first snoring a little passing out from his drunken stubborn. Quickly sheathing his sword he turned to his wife checking on her.

"Dear did he hurt you?"barak asked as ember shook her head.

"He didn't the vile man did touch my chest. So…"ember started quickly walking over hocking back spitting on the drunk man face. Then she huffed turning to another direction beginning to walk away from the miserable man.

"Let return home and celebrate tonight"ember stated happily as the two returned to their home. While it took them rather long to return to their home perhaps an hour judging by the sun setting in the distance sky. They returned to a simply little stone and wooden cottage that had two floors from the look of it. Though it had a small well in the front for gathering water, while outside was someone else.

That being a boy who seemed to be fifteen judging by his age. He had tan skin like his father with brown hair cut short. Along with that he had a slightly toned build to him as he wore a simple pair of brown tunic shorts with a red long sleeve tunic shirt. But his eyes were reddish yellow eyes as he was one of the two kids.

While the second was a girl his age with long blonde hair with a set of orange eyes. She wore a long dress gown color red with a yellow corset on to present her slender figure. While she had a book in hand reading it

The boy noticed the two smiling"mother, father you've returned"he said running over as the girl smiled placing her book down. Barak laughed picking up the boy hosting him in the air smiling proudly

"Hesh my boy did you keep your sister daisy out of trouble while we were gone"barak asked the two twin siblings hesh and daisy hayley.

Daisy huffed slightly"i kept my incompenntant brother out of trouble. More like i watched another child"she said coldly making hesh roll his eyes.

"Dear sister why must you be so cold. Besides we needn't be so rude setting a bad example infront of sister"hesh reminded gesturing to solana as daisy glanced at her nodding.

"Well since you two are ready let have dinner to celebrate tonight"ember announced as they all agreed on that. The family had a wonderful dinner to celebrate their new family member though it may be their last dinner together.

Hours past in the day as ember was still asleep it seems but slowly stirring awake right now. The women soon opened her eyes but found herself somewhere strange that being outside as the cold air blew through the night. Ember looked seeing her feet and hand restrained struggling.

"What in the name of remnant?"she asked herself as soon laughing could be heard as someone spoke up.

"Rise and shine whore. Because your in for quite a show tonight"kai voice said above her as she looked toward his direction. But immediately her eyes sank into her skull as she just coudln't believe what she seeing infront of her. Her home set ablaze right now as the flame roared through her proud home.

But on the nearby tree outside their home hung two bodies that swayed in the winds. That being her son and daughter hanging by a thick rope as their necked looked awkward. But what upsetted her even more was seeing her husband gutted with his sword driven into his neck.

Then she looked at the culprit being a crazed looking kai with blood allover his arms as he held an axe in hand. While crying on a nearby tree stump for her mother was solana wailing through the night.

Ember shook in rage as tears ran down her face"you bastard! Are you that ill to kill my husband and children! Over me refusing to wed some brutish pig like your!"ember spat with venom earning a punchfrom him as her head whipped back.

"Shut it, because your going to be mine soon enough. With the help of this"kai said presenting the infernal guanlent in his hands newly made. Ember just ignored him trying to move toward her daughter but then he placed his hand atop her head then his aura shimmer bright yellow.

Then he activated his semblance as she could feel part of her get torn away for some reason. Her entire body was bruning as she blacked out in an instant, but soon opened her eyes again. Though something was different she felt very light for some reason.

Ember scoffed"that was your semblance?! Ha! Causing someone to black out monmentairly"she stated but noticed something infront of her, her body laying lifeless on the ground as she got a better look at her self seeing her body made completely out of flames.

Kai laughed"not exactly because i just transferred your soul into this here glove. You'll be mine forever after i kill that whining annoyance"he said tossing the glove to the ground as he raised his axe to bring it down on the baby. Though ember just snapped as she moved forward before shooting her hand out.

"No!"she cried then from her hands fire spewed from them covering kai in fire. The man started to cry in immense pain trying to put it out but she kept unleashing fire upon the man. After doing this soon enough kai fell down as the fire slowly consumed his body as he kept writhing in agonziing pain. While she just watched with malice.

It went on for a while until he finally stopped moving as she reached out to hold her daughter. But stopped because she couldn't even touch her, the girl kept crying for her mother who just stood their as she began to weep.

"No…no….not my little girl…please…let me hold her. Please"ember cried sorrowfully as she sat their until soon enough familiar roar could be heard. The women glanced seeing approaching grimm as she noticed them looking at their new prey that being her daughter. Their were maybe five grimm in total as they were approaching the bruning cottage as she growled as her flames rage fueling her immense hatred.

"Your not touching my daughter you vile demon!"ember roared in rage firing a stream of fire at her attackers ready to burn them all to a fine crisp. This kept going on for what seemed like hours right now as she kept slaying any grimm that got in her way. After a while eventually townspeople came but they were afraid of her appearance running away calling her some sort of demon.

Ember just stood their as her flames blew in the wind as she just panted it seems feeling very exhausted right now. While solana just kept coughing since it was very cold right now as she did her best to warm her up.

"Please don't leave…please just someone…please help my little girl. Please"ember cried over and over again for a savior. Until a voice called out to the women.

"Maybe i can be assistance ma'am"A male voice said as she turned to the direction. Their on a stallion that looked well groomed as a man. Who had tan skin with brown hair that was put into a wolftails with a green ribbon wrapped around it. He wore a suit of armor silver in color like a knight in shining armor. His helmet was removed placed under his arms revealing green eyes.

While strapped to his side was a sword with a shield strapped to his back. Ember was on the defensives as she growled at him

"Are you here to avenge that awful bastard who took my family!"she roared in rage but the man shook his head dismounting from his horse.

"No for starters the local here said a demon was sighted here early on my way into town. Though…"he stopped seeing the coughing solana as ember looked at her with much worry. The man cautiously stepped forward as she tried to fire more flames but coudln;t panting heavily.

"Don't hurt her…please don't hurt my little girl"she pleaded but the man gently picked her up holding her close taking some nearby unruined blankets wrapping her up to keep her warm.

"I won't because it seems we may be friends. Judging by how you seem trapped in that glove."the man said as she flinch retreating back into the glove. It glowed slightly as he gently kenlt down to face it like he was talking to someone.

"No…no their has to be a way out. I…i just wanna hold my little girl shes all i have left"ember spoke from the glove. The man nodded before picking it up with one free arm clipping it to his waist.

"You can't. I see a dead body over their persuming someone did this too you. But don't worry i'll keep her safe for you, and you can be their while she grows into a young women"the man said as ember stayed silent before asking him his name.

"What is your name?"she asked

"Orzo, and i'm sure we'll become well acquainted in this long journey we have"orzo introduced himself one of ozpin many reincarations. The women just weeped for what seemed like hours as she probably couldn't hold her daughter again after that xiaolong ruined her life.

Present

As she finished her tail all of them just sat in complete silence right now hearing that just now. Because they coudln't believe that their own friends long dead ancestor did that to someone else family.

Rogue was in disbelief hearing that her friend did that to her family, she never knew them but knows it was very long ago.

"Are…are you serious? So he trapped you in a glove after killing your family?"mercury asked shocked as ember nodded with a somber look.

Ruby had an upset look"my sister and uncle woudln't do that. He was just one bad egg in their family i'm sure"she firmly believe.

"Oh really? Because i despise that entire family for what they did to me. She might be different but it doesn't excuse what her ancestor did to me"ember said before retreating into the guanlent for the remainder as rogue shook it too get a response but nothing. As they sat in silence for a moment poppy sighed heavily.

"That was something. Look why don't you all just relax for a bit, train then figured out your next step"poppy advised as they nodded at that leaving the house to do that.

About an hour past as jaune and mercury were in the middle of sparring with each other right now. While ren and nora went off to go visit the small gravestone they made for wu shui. For ruby she was doing maintenance on her sniper replaicng the firing pin since it cracked yesterday while they eliminated some grimm around town.

But with rogue she had a thousand yard stare caressing her shield thinking about what ember told them mainly. While mercury and jaune were in the middle of praticing boxing.

"So lets see if your boxing improve"mercury asked

"I think it has i've watched those videos over dozen of times"jaune relied recalling the videos zane sent him over break. Because now he has a chance to actually ask to spar with him again like old times. Poppy was onstand by watching the two exvlusibly her brother.

Soon the two began to spar with each other as the first to attack was mercury charign foward with his fist up jabbing at him several times. While jaune dodged and weaved blocking them raising his forearms together. He blocked his strike then pushed back before shifting his feet as he threw a right hook hitting mercury in the side. But the metal legged teen wasn't going to take it easy as he cocked his fist back punching him hard in the gut.

Jaune winced slightly but quickly recovered as he backepeddled after he began to deliver an onslaught of punches after punch as jaune did his best to dodge them. But then as he dodged another strike he threw his fist forward but punched nothing as mercury didn't even then kicked him down cuaisng jaune to fall on his face as he held his stomach

"Yeah lets call it, because i rather not have you spill your guts out right now"mercury said holding a hand out to him as he took it rubbing his stomach.

"Ha ha funny…almost had you their maybe i'm getting rusty"jaune replied but poppy walked over shaking her head at that.

"Or you seem troubled. Before you even say anything i know you little brother are you alright?"poppy softly asked as jaune turned away from her walking over grabbing a bottle of water drinking it to rehydrate.

"She right because i aint a good boxer. You and sunshine here whooped my butt during training"mercury said knwoignly.

"He rights. Seriously you've gotten good at hand to hand combat"rogue complemented as jaune smiled from the compliment but stared at his red sash for a moment.

"Its nothing. Just worried about havan is all"jaune replied but his sister wasn't buying it sitting next to him.

"I don't believe you. Why don't you and me take a walk to catch up. You three go find qrow wherever he is"poppy suggested but ruby knew where he might be.

"Sounds like a plan because we gotta discuss our next step"ruby said as her, rogue and mercury left them. But poppy decided to take her brother on a nice walk to clear his head.

Seems we got some backstory on ember hayley imprisonment in that blasted glove but the one who did it was one of yang ancestors! It seems that when they meet that blonde again their might be trouble. Names mentioned are my own oc's. Thanks for reading!
