Chapter 76: Separate Ways
Everything was prepared for the surgery right now all that was left was getting dravan to cam down. Mainly because they just told him one major risk involved in the surgery that has put all of them a little on edge. That being major risk of him dying.
In the hospital room they had dravan waiting in to deliver the anthestics was mostly everyone except weiss and her group. As alex and whitley were trying to do one thing by calming down a panicking verona who seemed very hesitant now.
"You didn't tell us their was a chance of him dying?!"verona shouted as her ears straighten out.
"shes right seriously. I know these types of surgery are very delicate but…that is a very important factor to take in"calida added very nervous right now.
Alex sighed holding a clipboard in hand rubbing his eyes"look i understand your worry. But this is a very risky operation to perform. We'll be amputating part of your arm along with installing a prosthetic all in the same day. Its a risky surgery"alex warned again because they all agree to it early.
"Look i know…i did agree to that but…i just came out of hiding. And i rather not have my other hear i was alive and died"dravan said before he thought of two people he rather not leave if he departs.
"Along with my wife and daughter. I wanna be their for both of them and mess with any of my daughter girlfriend or boyfriends in the future"he added admitting he really wanted to mess with his daughter future lover. This earn a few laughs from them along with a few groans in the mix of it.
Eria was their too a little nervous herself hearing that her uncle would die from this surgery. It made her feel very nerovus relieved that her surgery only requried a metal plate since her's was a clean cut.
"Of course you'd have to throw a joke in. though are you sure this will be safe?"falk asked worried himself.
Whitley sighed before walking over pulling a chair up to dravan bedside as he had a serious look.
"Look . I know this is a very big risk for you right now i know that. But think about the chances of you surviving this thing for starters you evaded capture from two serial killers. Survived the last five years without an arm i'm sure their are plenty of things you miss having both apendages"whitley begun as dravan listened a little.
While winter was standing off to the side with a small smirk right now it seems that her little brother may have some wisdom to him. It makes her happy that he wanted to pursue a profession working as a doctor like their mother.
"Yeah…but i don't know i don't want my family too lose me again"dravan replied with worry
Whitely gave a determined look"that isn't going to happen for starters alex is the best doctor here in argus."he continued complimenting his boss who appreciated it.
"Along with that you may have gotten used to having no arm for five years. But think of what you could do when you have both of them. You'll be able to complete several task at once without any restrictions. Along with that being able to hold your wife with both arms including your daughter."whitley finished
Dravan thought for a moment taking in the boys words before coming up with an answer with a smile.
"I'll do it because i wanna see what type of crazed invention my little brother made. Maybe he gave me a nuke for an arm"dravan said cheerfully which made the group wonder that.
"Okay if he actually put a nuke in that arm i'm leaving"eria codlly annouced.
"Same here…though i'll be close by at all times for moral support"verona said as he held her hand leaning over kissing her on the hed.
"I know you will. Lets get this show on the road because when i get my arm i'm wrestling someone"dravan stated as alex and whitley wheleed him off to the surgery room to commence the operation. While everyone was very nervous right now if it'll be even successful but all of them silently prayed for the best.
Although walking down the street in the direction of the clinic right now was weiss and comapny. They all had a very silent walk taking in what they heard as joining them along the way was henry since he was catching up with the group. As he was in his usually attire that being some black dress pants with suspenders and a olive colored dress shirt. Without his vest and badge. They explained what happened after they fled atlas.
"So you all are telling me you crashed after running into one of them grimm knight?"henry said
"Uh huh. Let me tell you it was something running into skyguy uncle pyke out their. Though at least that women is at peace now after suffering for eight years"lazulis sadly replied as the detective got filled in on that. How half of these grimm knights were forced under these parasite while the rest where volunteers.
Henry placed a hand on her shoulder"kid you did the right thing. Sacrafiicing your chance to get rid of those grimm knight. But you provide some people closure"he said making her smile a little but she still had an awful feeling from killing lee.
"Yeah that sounds nice. Luckily that our friend gave those syringe which gives us a chance"emerald replied catching his interest a little.
Herny had a cigarette in his mouth puffing it for a moment chuckling"well thats nice, though where are we heading off to exactly. More of your group?"he asked starting some conversation.
"Pretty much. Though uh just be prepared who you see their, and head up they don't mean harm"bashira empahzied firmly on that making him slightly suspicious on the matter.
Carmen had snickers on her leash as the small dog was enjoying its little trudge through the snow as the ground got a little slippery from all the snow today.
"Though heres a question, is this guy over here gonna spill the beans on why my friend is here?"carmen asked gesturing to neptune since the clinic wasn't a far walk from the apartment complex. But immediately neptune decided to reassure the group.
"Hey i aint gonna tell anyone promise. Kept that other secret that our friends had remember"neptune reminded as weiss did recall that. He never spilt about two of their friends being white fang members or one of them being part grimm. Which did reassure her a little.
"Your right…it slipped my mind that you didn't spill some of our friends secrets"weiss replied but seemed a little troubled right now. Which some of them noticed mainly being carmen, emerald and lazuli as the thief decided to confront her on the matter.
"Hold up we'll catch up with yous guys. Gotta talk about something real quick"lazuli said as the others walked ahead of their group understanding. As weiss was about to walk ahead carmen guided her back as the four looked at each other for a moment.
"Alright we need to all talk about something apparent right now"lazuli begun.
"And that would be about what exactly?"weiss questioned crossing her arms to warm herself up. Despite being used to the cold she still gets cold from it at times.
Emerald sighed looking down"its about who we ran into remember? Are we going to tell them hes in town?"she reminded as weiss qucikyl figured out what she meant that being adder.
"Your not wrong. From what i'm guessing that guy has some history with you guys or something?"carmen asked as the three eyed each other.
"Try being on team BRAS, the team who helped started the fall"lazuli answered shocking carmen to her core that they just ran into one of the main culprits of the fall.
"What the hell?! Then why didn't we arrest the guy because from what you told me hes heading to havan next"carmen asked as her tail flicked around like crazy but emerald quickly pulled them all into a nearby alleyway to talk. Since their are some people out at this time of day as she quickly made sure the coast was clear.
"Look i think we all know why we didn't rat that snake out"emerald stated confusing the horse faunus but lazuli kenw what she was implying. How they could possible use him for intel or as a spy.
"That we could use him to gain intel on the attack. But…kinda risky now that you think about it"lazuli replied which made weiss immediately worry at that.
"We shouldn't be talking to him much."weiss firmly warned confusing their group for a moment. It was a little offputting but carmen seen this behavior before, as she guessed something on how protective he was of that kid that weiss rescued. She doesn't want his family to get hurt or woese.
"You don't want his family to get hurt or…killed do you?"carmen softly asked as weiss immediately nodded in agreement.
"I do because….hes only a hired gun for them. He has no choice in the matter right now because his family at risk."weiss said with worry even.
Emerald sighed looking down"your not wrong. Back when we…worked for that group they were involved with"She said catching carmen a little offguard.
"Wait you worked for whoever this queen that was mentioned during the fall?"carmen asked as the red eyed girl nodded somberly hanging her head.
"I did…let me tell you its hard to leave. I only joined since someone told me, merc and…cinder that some bandits killed her mom. W-we did terrible things for her."she start visible shaking recalling all the terrible things they made them do. How they would set villages on fire, kill people that witch wanted dead. Along with even kidnapping a few people which made cinder sick to her core that she was forced to commit such acts.
Lazuli noticed her shaking walking over hugging her to comfort her as emerald leaned into it taking a few deep breaths.
"Just hurry up, we gotta get out of this cold"lazuli softly said
Emerald sighed with an upset look"but…but we left which in turn sent her lackeys after us. Though…back then he was very heartless at time, but he still showed some compassion"she continued before a small smile formed.
"Only reason he joined up because he was promised to kill the schnee family. But we talked sometimes and he said he will always be loyal to his employer for his rep. But he also kept talking about his older sister and parents he lost. Wishing they were still here"she finished as lazuli listened to that part intenvily. Because for one she was curious why he spared her cousin life.
"Thats nice i guess but we should head to the clinic"Weiss reminded as they nodded watching up with the others entering the clinic. The others told them the surgery was just starting and they should get comfy for the wait.
Two hours past as all of them remained in the clinic as they sat in the lunch room trying to pass the time. Mainly being yang and henry deciding to do some arm wrestling to provie some entertainment. While weiss read a book to pass the time as eria just hummed listening to some music with headphone. While raven was keeping guard the entire time even despite telling her to relax.
Their was also calida introducing apollo who came by shocked seeing some faces here. As him and henry were immediately weary of adam but they said hes here to stop the white fang for good. Their was also verona who was very worried as her ears kept twitching around like crazy as she was worried for her husband going through surgery.
"This is so nerve wracking i feel like i'm going to die of stress"verona said rather irritated.
"Look surgery is a very delicate process so they gotta be cautious. My brother despite his age is actually very qualified since mother and klein taught him about medicine. Just be patient"winter said reassuring her.
"Yeah but hes getting an amputation and a metal plate i just hope that the arm he made works"verona replied pointing at jaki who came and felt a little hurt by that.
"Ma'am i'm positive my craft will work. I put all my efforts into making that arm theirs no way it'll fail."jaki said confidently but now started to worry.
Yang and henry were in the middle of arm wrestler as the detective had a bored look across his face. As the two have been locked in a power struggle for a half hour.
"Okay can one of you give up seriously its been a half hour"falk said rather annoyed
"He right seriously i made a bet that you'd win like last time with coco"emerald remind
This gave bashira an idea before deciding to mess with the blonde"hey if you win maybe your faunus princess girlfriend will appear. Like right now"she said making yang go wide eyed
"Where?!"she shotued before a slamming sound could be heard which was revealed to be henry. They all laughed at how quickly that got her distracted right now as the blonde glared at the girl for pulling that. Because for starters she very worried about blake right now.
"Ha! Oh she got you their oh man are you that gushy over his ex?"falk said pointing to adam who looked away at the mention of her.
"I get it we dated. All i hope for is to fix our relationship as friends not as lovers."adam said this glancing toward lazuli who was busy watching over luna. As he gave a small smile admiring her froma distance.
Though not a moment later the doors opened as in stepped alex with a tired but bright smile on his face as they stood up from their chairs looking as he already had his gloves removed patting his hands down.
"So..how did it go?"verona asked
"It was rather difficult at first amuptating such a small section but we managed. His nerves were shot after five years since they weren't recieivng signals from his brain but we did manage to repair the damage that was done. Then we installed the metal plates where we amputated. Where just waiting on his arm that your carrying since he woke up from anthsetiscs not too long ago."alex explained
"Can we see him?"jaki asked carrying the case with a bright smile.
"Of course hes in room four with whitley"alex said as immediately jaki and verona rushed toward his room. The other soon followed as they soon got to his room an awake dravan with a metal plate in his right arm.
"Their you all are, seriously here i thought you left me behind"dravan said as his tail wagged under his sheets in joy. Verona walked over hugging him with tears of joy.
"Shut up you dumb idiot…can we hurry this up…because i'm about cry my eyes out"Verona demanded nicly.
"Alright are you ready?"jaki asked with a warm smile as dravan thought for a moment taking a deep breath that it'll actually happen after so long without having his other arm. The jackal just gave a nod as he gripped the metal bar on the side. As whitley shoved a mouthguard in his mouth as he bite down hard.
"Okay this will really hurt since your nerves have been dead for so long"Alex warned ahead of time. Rolling the sleeve up where his missing right arm was with the metal plate as jaki carefully lifted the porthsetic and placed it carefully onto his remaining bicep.
"Now heres come the next part"neptune said glancing toward eria who rolled her eyes.
"Sorry i gave you frostbite rather not freeze my boyfriend hand off"eria coldly retorted but was smiling right now. Jaki then placed the socket wrench on as he didn't give a warning as he gave a pull of the wrench immediately connecting the long dead nerves. To dravan he felt an immediate pain as he bite down hard on the mouth guard threatening to bite through it as his tail thrashed around as he muffled a scream and sob.
Just as quick as the pain came it went away as he felt very relieved but it was still a very grueling three seconds as he calm his breathing spitting the mouthguard out to breath. After claming down he noticed the porhtsetic was not fully on but needed to know if it'll work.
So to test it he first attempted to bend his pointer figner after so long. To his shock the pointer finger bended at the command. Then slowly testing each figner and thumb they all kept responding on command. Then he did a full test closing them to form a fist as a wave of emotions came through him.
Verona had tears streaming down her face covering her mouth smiling.
"W-what do you think?"jaki asked with years himself.
Dravan immediately stood up and to their surprise lifted jaki into the air like a trophy with tears of joy as his tail wagged.
"Thank you so much. Dravan hayley is back baby!"he cheered loud enough as he brought his brother down hugging him as he returned it.
"It was no problem…but what about your wife?"jaki asked being set down as the jackal faunus looked at his wife. Verona slowly walked over taking his hand feeling the cold metal but dravan just held her with both arms smiling right now. Verona buried her face into his chest with tears of joy.
"Finally…its feels nice to be held like this"verona cried but nina who had tears had someone else he needed to hold. Luna who looked a little confused but separating the man gently took his daughter with both arms trying really hard not to cry his eyes out.
Eria sniffed rubbing some tears away"so…are you happy that you came to argus?"She asked but the man just cried a little holding his daughter with both arms.
"I'm so happy"dravan cried as they all where glad it was a success. But all wonder what jaki did to his arm.
"Alright jaki what did you do to his arm?"apollo questioned
"Yeah because you have that look when she got her leg"neptune said as the man seemed to be jumping in excitement. As he pulled out an instruction booklet as dravan handed luna to his mother.
"Lets just say since you semblance resolves around gravity. "Jaki crypcially said but dravan glanced at the circle on the palm pulsing with purple energy as he was curious. Aiming his forward he concentrated hard enough as he delivered a gravity pulse. The target on accident was neptune who got shot into a wall hard.
The man was caughte offguard by that as the rest of them where but neptune fell flat onto his face groaning to reveal the slightly cracked wall. Alex looked rather annoyed looking toward jaki.
"Your paying for that, but congratulations now lets get you discharge"alex said as for one all were overjoyed right now. After about an hour they got discharge as they planned to leave for windpath tonight but decided to get something to eat to celebrate. And dravan was picking.
"So since where done with that, and that the police will be more involved at the facorites. Where should we eat?"weiss asked
"Well uncle is picking it might be some burger joint or fancy restaurant. Lets hope its faunus friendly"eria replied
Dravan was examining the place searching for anywhere that was good to eat until landing on something that peeked his interest.
"How about their, a nice little dinner"dravan stated catching some attention but most of the argus residents. Eria included looking over at where he was pointing before an upset look came to her, because he pointed at the mckay diner.
"Oh a nice little diner. Haven't been to one of those before and its faunus friendly"verona said gesturing to the sigh.
Carmen nodded"yeah because i'm famished right now lets eat"She said though that was shot down immedialty.
"We can't go in their"eria announced to the group catching them all offguard why they couldn't go into the diner.
"Uhh why not its just a diner. What you know someone that works their or something?"bashira asked but calida sighed heavily looking down looking at that group.
"That is tanner parent diner. Our family isn't allowed near the place or gasper screams at us to get out. Along with…spreading…uh"calida paused looking down upset at the mention of it. As jaki wrapped an arm around her consolign her. Lazuli though figured out what she meant glaring at the diner seeing through the window that being gasper hard at work serving not that many patrons.
Emerald scoffed"me and merc told him several times that psycho scorpion killed him. That he went out as a huntsman"she replied
"Lets just find somewhere else or eat at the house"weiss suggested but dravan wasn't having it as he walked toward the diner to their shock. Immediately following him was eria, neptune, lazuli,yang and jaki.
Inside the diner it was peaceful as gasper was serving his customer though he was serving his faunus and human customers with a smile. Until suddenly the door to his diner was thrown open hard as the bell rung saying he had a customer.
Gasper looked up as dravan was stomping into the diner with an anger look as the owner just prepared for the worst case scenario.
"Can i help you? Because kinda rude aint it to do that to my business"gasper said but dravan got to the counter slamming his new arm down growling bearing his canines.
"Oh you can help me. Quit spreading rumors about my family"dravan growled as his tail thrashed confusing him. From the back deborah peeked over very confused stepping toward the counter with him.
"And who exactly would that be? Because we have half a mind to call the police on you"deborah warned. But rushing into the store was the others as immediately gasper shifted his attention to them with a glare. The cook crossed his arm with a disgusted look.
"What the hell are you doing here hayley. I thought i told you next time you come around my diner i'm considering it trespassing"gasper growled holding a cleaver pointing it at them. Deborah though quickly noited eria going wide eyed a little.
Instead of being all happy she crossed her arms"oh look his daughter finally came back home. Let me guess break free of your kidnapeprs"she spat with venom making eria feel hurt hearing that even.
"Can you two stop with this. Its childish behavior i know you miss your son b-"jaki was stopped as gasper hoped behind the counter shoving the man back.
"Well if that dam monster on your kids team didn't start the fall. My son would be here and not bruried six feet under!"gasper said gesturing to something close by. Yang looked over with a somber look seeing a small monument to the rocker. It was a small shrine with candles, some bundles of flower with his picture their with both his parents. As his machete and megaphone rest atop it with a microphone. It wasn't as grand as pyrrha but it was something.
Neptune sighed"look we'll leave but seriously tanner woudln't want this."he said sadly earning a glare from the two.
"Shut up. Seriously can't believe your even taking their side. What you with the family who supports those monsters. All of them deserve to be put down"deborah said but near the doorway was raven who narrowed her gaze at that, but kept close by.
Eria hugged herself trying to fight tears"can you please just stop…s-seriously…we've told you who did it. But–"she was stopped
"Shut up brat. Because i'm very much glad that thing is dead, i hope its rotting in hell where it belongs. Whoever that things family probably wishes it was dead"deborah spat which sent lazuli over the edge. Immedialty she used her semblance grabbing her by the throat squeezing it hard as deborah choked a little.
"Don't talk about my cousin like that!"lazuli cried in rage squeezing hard on her neck. Gasper pushed her away as deborah clutched her throat that had red marks as she tried to get air in her lungs. Lazuli fell on the ground growling with tears in her eyes.
Gasper scoffed"so your related to that thing. Well i'm happy that thing is dead…"he stopped glaring at eria who visible flinch.
"Your dumb sister is probably dead right now running away to avenge people who were just miserable excuses for huntsman and huntresses. Along with whoever else is with her"gaspar said which just made eria break down crying hugging herself. Neptune glared at him pulling her into a comforting embrace. Yang eyes twitched a little at that growling as her eyes clicked to crimson red. She may need rest but she wouldn't mind punching a scumbag.
"Don't talk about our friends like that you jerk"yang growled but before they did anything dravan grabbed gasper by the collar lifting him high into the air. Immediately gasper looked scared seeing the man with an evil eye like he wrong him, then he pulled him toward his face.
"Your going to stop trash talking my nieces and her friends. Along with my little brother because dravan hayely is back in argus."dravan stated catching gasper offguard especially deborah who thought that jackal faunus was dead.
"Your lying his brother died five years ago"gasper replied
"He aint lying. And i suggest you don't disrespect the dead or you'll have problems"raven said walking in keeping a glare on the two. The two owners were surprised to see the mighty raven branwhen in their business.
Deborah froze up a little"what you here to defend their family. Sorry were just stating facts"she commented.
Dravan growled as his tail thrashed"you aint. Now for starters your going to stop messing with my brother and his family. Along with anyone else whos with them because if you don't.."he begun picking up a fork bending it with his normal hand.
"This will be your legs, now quit spitting on my nieces names and their team. Because if i hear you did i'm throwing you through that window. We'll be leaving now"Dravan said tossing him hard to the ground walking out shoving the door open. Deborah rushed to gasper side glaring at all of them.
"Get the hell out of here now, because we'll never forgive who took my son"deborah said with tears as they took their leave. Once outside dravan was seething in rage punching a nearby snow covered tree. The others looked at them.
"Alright so that happened, where are we going now before we head to the trian station?"bashira questioned
"Yeah because uh you all look pissed and…upset"henry pointed out the still crying eria as calida walked over comforting her rubbing her head close. While raven was anger herself as the women walked over toward the tree dravan was punching as he left a dent in it. She guided him away before gripping omen tight unsheathing it quickly slashing then sheathed it.
Raven then walked forward"nothing just those two disrpecting the dead"she answered calmly but the tree behind her slowly came apart as verona seen this side of her before. Probably where her daughter gets her anger from.
Thetis sighed"look i know that is troubling, we could head the house and we can cook something up"she suggested.
But a thought came to neptune mind as he snapped his finger.
"Nah i know of a place and i know the owner personally"neptune said peeking their interest. Immedialty he guided them to the place and luckily it was very close to the train station. Standing infront of them was a two storie building with yellow wooden walls along with it being an open concept. With a huge garage door welcoming them inside as it revealed the restaurant that being a sushi joint.
Not many people where their right now but their was a counter with a grill where the chefs cook infront of you. All of them hard at work as the aroma filled their nostrils.
"Oh man now this i can get behind"falk said
"Same here you come here often or something?" yang asked as they walked inside.
Neptune smirked slihglty"oh well i kinda know them.."he was stopped as someone called out.
"Neppy their you are little brother"a male voice called out.
Their behind a counter was a man who was maybe around in his mid twenties as he had an athetlci build to him. Along with that he was tan skin with yellow lighting colored eyes. Their was also how he had blonde hair with one blue stripe on it with a matching yellow beard.
His attire consisted of a pair of blue jeans with yellow hawaiian shirt with lighting bolts dotted around it button up with a grey long sleeve underneath it. Their was also how he was wearing tan sandal with a straw tan fedora on his head.
"Wait…little brother you never said you had a brother?"weiss questioned.
The man came from behind the counter pulling neptune into a big bear hug as he felt the air escape his lung.
"For shame neps. Aint gonna introduce your brother jupiter"the man introduced himself as jupiter vasilas. As he soon let neptune go as he caught his breath from that deathly hug.
Eria giggled a little"we forgot to mention that, though its nice to meet you again"She greeted making him go wide eye looking at their group chuckling.
"Guessing this is why your with such a big group. To celebrate your ex being back in town after being saved"jupiter joked earning a small glare from neptune.
"Okay i get it we used to date…but you got any private rooms?"neptune asked as jupiter nodded leading them upstairs. Their were a couple large rooms for partys of birthdays as he let them have it. Then all of them got a wide variety of sushi deciding to dig into their meal for the night before most of them head off to havan. As they did they had small conversation around but one that being weiss, winter, whitley, falk, yang, eria, neptune and finally miltia. They all were enjoying their food for the night.
"Man this is so good seriously water boy brother can cook"yang complimented stuffing her face with sushi.
Milita rolled her eyes"it appear so, though are you really heading to windpath?"she asked as her tail swayed.
"Yep we are to talk to your mom. Maybe get some help on stopping the attack on havan"falk replied eating his sushi sitting close to weiss. Who tail wagged under her coat enjoying her sushi that tasted like heaven.
"Hes right, though it seems everyone happy right now"weiss said since dravan was arm wrestling henry with the help of apollo as the two failed as the jackal faunus defeated them easily. Smiling because he had his other arm. Along with eria talking with her parents smiling right now enjoying herself. All of them were as winter chuckled a little.
"They are, i'm happy you made alot of friends at beacon. Though i have a question?"winter aksed suddenly catching weiss offguard.
"Whats that? If its teasing me don't bother"weiss warned her siblings
Whitley chuckled before he glanced at winter who nodded, then he concentrate the best he could as something appeared that being a glyph. Weiss was very much offguard by that looking at her brother who smiled a little.
"Seems i finally unlocked my glyphs"whitley said as weiss was overjoyed particularly leaping at him hugging him smiling as her tail wagged.
"Thats amazing! How did it happen?"weiss asked as a somber look came over his face. Which didn't make her like that one bit as he separated from her sighing rubbing his arm.
"Well you know how some people awaken them over time or by traumatic events?"whitley asked as they all figured it out immediately.
"Don't tell us that jerk did something worse than before"falk growled
"No..no sort of. The night uh the general saw my back he was very much appalled by it. Jacque then started a lie saying that you were the one that did it"he begun looking at weiss who scar burned still hearing that growling in a low tone.
"Though when i heard that i snapped slightly but kept my composure mostly. Then at one point when they were in the process of escorting us out the mansion. He grabbed wren by the arm saying how hes not taking another one of his kids away"he said rolling his eyes.
"I joined the military on my own valiation. But continue"winter advised as a small blush to his face confusing them. But then yang noticed him staring at carmen for a moment realzing it.
"Oh…oh he went after her"yang said pointing to the horse faunus as he covered her mouth which in return she licked his hand. Whitley looked disgusted wiping it off on a nearby napkin.
"Gah, yes he did alright…she shoved him from wren saying its her job to protect him. But…he used a stun baton on her…something inside me snapped. Next thing i know i summon a earth glyph launching him back. Then well here we are"whtiley explained how he got his glyphs.
Weiss for one was fumming in rage hearing that but smiled a little hearing her brother did that.
"You did the right thing, though lets just hope the detectives can piece together a decent case. Hes got corrupt lawyers all over atlas"Weiss saldy said though neptune grinned a little knowing a very good lawyer.
"I think i can help with that, i'll have someone i know meet us at the train station"neptune said confusing them but they continued to eat their sushi. Soon all of them where done as they headed off to the train station with codovin waiting for them since raven called her early.
Cordovin noticed weiss and raven was nearby and walked toward her as with her was winter, lazuli, oscar and bashira.

"Yes it is. So i take it the rails are repaired?"wiess said
"Of course they are thanks to you and your groups efforts. I've already informed the citizens and employee of the completion"cordovin replied before glancing at her granddaughter.
"Do say hello to your mother for me dear, she been worried sick about you"cordovin replied hugging the tall girl who leaned down returning it.
"I will thank you grandma carolina. I'll come by to visit sometime"bashira replied as they walked away to where the others were so they weren't spotted.
It wasn't far as most of them were at a nearby coffee shop with some on the benches. But on one of them was mealnie laying down fast asleep with miltia holding her head. Along with the others as they saw them but with one other person.
That being a women with tan skin with dark brown hair style into a bun with green eyes. She was wearing a tan colored business suit with a white dressshirt undenreath to match it. Along with a green tie with some black dress heels. She seemed in her mid thirties as she also had a pair of earrings of angel wings styles in a swoosh shape.
"Oh hey their you guys are"neptune said as with him was henry and nancy sitting down as the others talked.
"Hello i take it this is that mysterious lawyer you mentioned early?"winter questioned as the women stood up offering a hand as she shook it.
"Pleasure to be meeting you i'm victoria vasilla. Mother of my blue haired son right here"the women itnrouced herself as victoria vasilla. This caught weiss a little offguard to hear that who this lawyer he knew is.
"Pleasure all mine ma'am, i take it these three have filled you in why we need your help?"winter asked as victoria nodded with a confused look.
"Yes because for starters, very bold claims you made of jacque schnee. How he abuses his kids i'm sure the news would report on that."victoria said as whitley flinch which she noticed because she wanted to get a reaction.
"Look lady we told you what we can. Your kid says your the best lawyer in all of mistral"nancy stated
Victoria chuckled"thats because i am, and for starters if you do have any evidence of this. It better be real proof, because if we can charge him with that. He'll lose his stocks to the company which in return gives it back nicholas daughter"she said which made weiss overjoyed to hear that.
"Well uh…the detectives here have been more than helpful."weiss replied wondering if she knew it was her.
Henry nodded as he produce a briefcase placing it on the table opening it revealing its contents. Several pictures, some audio recording, a notebook along with a list of possible charges.
"We have because seriously this guy is going pretty low right now"herny said
"What makes you say that?"neptune questioned as henry played one recording. The recording played for a bit until a familiar voice came to eria that being hassan which made her go wide eyed.
"Wait a minute…hassan thats the leader of the crimson talon"eria said in shock right now. Victoria was itnrigued as it talked about jacque bsuinnes dealing with reo how he would sell some of his miner to him. The recording stopped.
"So wait he's been working with those crimson talon guys. Do you think he sold people for their experiments?"bashira asked
Victoria looked puzzled"expeirments what are you blabbering about?"she asked as the group thought for a moment as raven narrowed her gaze.
"We obtained intel that the creator of the grimm knights was arthur watts. An old atlas scientist who as of late lives."raven answered making victoria go wide eyed hearing that. Then she began to quickly dig through the brief case looking at its content. While weiss picked up the small notebook deciding to read it herself.
Their was a long list of charge that would be placed on jacque if he was ever prosecuted. One was child abuse in which her and whitley can atest for with their scars on their back. Forced faunus labor was something she coudln't ignore glancing at carmen side where she was branded along with adam brand on his eye. Along with one person surpsignly adder.
The others were something else with linking him to domestic terrosim for his dealing with the crimson talon. But one stuck out to her being sexual assult to rape shokcing her he did that. Every second she stared at the page their was a rage inside weiss that wanted to come out and unleash all over jacque face.
"Dam you guys got to work. Surprised he didn't send anyone after you"lazuli said
"Oh he did when you left atlas we stayed a bit more. Then well betty parker came after us"nancy said rolling her right shoulder sleeve down revealing a an acid scar, then she rolled it back up.
"Oh how did that happen?"falk asked
"Psycho came after us stabbing at us with anti aura metal. What was strange was who she was with"henry added taking a puff of his cig looking at them with a serious expression.
"That women was with someone with centinel grimm for arms. Creepy bastard almost got us calling himself uplison. Though…one strange thing happened"he paused for a moment as raven raised an eyebrow.
"And what exactly happened?"raven questioned
Henry rubbed his forehead"at one point he stopped banging his head against something telling something to stop. That the witch won't use a silver eyed warrior or something"henry answered catching raven completely offguard hearing that she using people with silver eyes for her undead warriors.
Victoria rubbed her eyes"okay that doesn't sound like some fantasy novel. But all these charges may prove beneficial hell even lock him up. I can try getting started on it after more investigating"she annouced which overjoyed the schnee family.
"That is fantastic, thank you for your help your helping bring a company back to its glory days"winter thanked as they continued their morning.
About a couple hours past as they waited for their train as most of them where heading for havan. But right now slipping away to somewhere more secluded was carmen, emerald, weiss and lazil. Raven was getting their tickets for windpath as the other waited for her.
After ten minutes they found a secluded area where adder was who came alone it seems. Lazuli kept a steady hand on stinger whistling at him.
"So you turned up snake boy. You bring any friend?"lazuli questioned.
"No i didn't. Because for ssstarters after what i saw…i'm intrigued"he admitted truthfully to their surprise.
"Bullcrap your probably lying to us. Your other friends are probably close by or one of those thirteen knights of grimm"carmen spat but he wanted to say something but glanced around not wanting to risk it.
"Look just….what is your question alright. My sister thinks i'm taking a walk"adder replied with haste. Lazuli eyed him assuming he can't tell them a whole lot because it'll put his family at risk but asked one simple question.
"Why didn't you kill him?"lazuli asked confusing them
"What?"weiss replied
"Why didn't you finish my cousin off?"she asked again studying his conviction. The snake was caught offgaurd by that but thought on how to answer for a bit.
"Dam brat didn't deserve to be torn to shreds. Let him pass on peaceful after he…got some phone call on his scroll"adder answered shocking weiss a little realzing something.
"You felt pity for him…because he talked about his family. Didn't you"weiss said as he nodded. Emerald sighed crossing her arms, thinking of one thing.
"Look you could just do what we did and leave. Just tell her your done with the gig to not hire you anymore"emerald said
Adder shook his head"i'm already in too deep. But where are you heading…because i was told to tell them where you heading. If..if i don't she'll…kill-"he was stopped
"Where heading to windpath but as for why we can't tell you. Consider that the start of showing you not all shcnee are terrible. Only one"weiss answered quickly as adder was surprised but nodded before taking his leave. The other three eyed her.
"Bad move ice queen though if he doens't tell her what she wants, she will kill his family"Emerald said as they nodded in another word they returned to the others returning to something strange, that being yang and raven in a deep discussion.
"Mom look i'm just saying some of us should head to menagerie"yang said
"I understand your worried about your friends and your girlfriend right now. But i don't wanna risk losing you"raven said with worry.
"Okay what did we step into"carmen replied as the three shrugged their shoulder joining in. yang looked rather annoyed crossing her arms glaring.
"Oh like how you lied to me and my sister our entire life"yang pulled that card making raven feel a little hurt by that but the blonde looked away uttering those words.
Raven sighed rubbing her eyes"look…i know your still mad about that. But…i know the news hasn't reported the island being destroyed. "She paused before looking at her daughter sighing in defeat because she could use her semblance to portal to her.
"But we also need to make sure their forces are alright. We could send a small envoy their to check on their forces. Along with telling them about the ships if they don't know already"she continued peeking yang interest a little.
Then her mother had a small smile"along with letting you check on your teammates and friends making sure their alive."she finished as yang paused for a moment hugging her as raven returned it.
"I'm sorry for saying that"yang quickly apologzied.
"Your alright, though who will be going with you?"raven asked
"Me obviously i'm the only ace pilot here plus my ship. I can check up on yahto and panda ears. Along with your family feathers"falk offered as lazuli nodded.
"Please do, thanks bishop"lazuli thanked
"I'm going to, i kinda wanna check up on my teammate"emerald offered making lazuli smile hearing that. While dravan thought for a moment shoving verona foward with luna as she looked confused.
"Why did you push me forward?"verona questioned
"Hmm i'm sure my partner would love to meet you. Along with that i rather not put our daughter at risk on this journey. And you've never been to menagiera"dravan stated as she opened her mouth to talk stop because he was right. She nodded at that.
Weiss look as yang apporahced her hugging her as the heir returned it.
"Please make sure my little sister is alright, tell her i went to check up on our other teammate"yang asked
"I will"weiss replied as they separated as they all qucikyl said their goodbyes to most of them. Though as yang was walking off two people stopped her that being adam and eria.
"Xiaolong we have a request"eria called out as she turned toward them
"That being we request you to deliver these for us i assumed someone would head to the island. Probably miss hayley, could you give this to blake?"adam begged it seem presenting a red letter with a thorn rose on it. While eria presented a black and white letter with yin and yang on it, and a dark blue one with a skull on it.
"Take these to my leader and partner, lets hope two aren't at each others throats. Because next time i see him…i'm turning him into a popsicle. "Eria said handing her the letter.
"But not before hugging him"Eria added smiling. Yang hesitated slightly to take adam but did nodding to the two she'll do it. After that the others got their tickets mainly consisting of lazuli, eria, weiss, raven,adam, oscar, dravan, bashira, neptune and the malachite twins. They bored without much issue thankfully.
They booked three bedroom suites for all of them found the first suite that could house up to four of them each with four beds that seemed sort of comfortable. Luckily they had enough people for these suites but with mealnie sick. One room had a fifth bed behind a close door which means they won the train raffle.
But they got some stares from people on the train directly exclusively toward the faunus in their group for….obvious reason. It picked up speed beginning it journey to minutes in all of them unloaded their things quickly setting up room arrangements.
"Alright we'll start unpacking, it'll be a few hours until we get their. But some of you need to stay in the room for obvious reason"dravan said looking at adam and weiss.
"We get it their wanted by everyone. Though we'll probably explore the train to pass the time"lazuli replied as they all sat their for a bit before the train suddenly stopped confusing them. All of them looked confused until on a nearby intercom something was announced.
"Attnetion all passenger we need to make a momentarie stop, if any resident huntsman or huntresses are on board. Please come to the lounge car, because theirs been a murder"a male voice said catching them all offguard right now. It seems they all ran into a troubling situation like they always do.
It seems that they all split up to complete their task with one heading to menagerie the other to windpath. But it seems that we got to meet more of neptunes family mainly his brother jupitor and his mother who is my own oc's. But troubled followed them again having to deal with a murder for reading!
