Chapter 88:Rekindling.
The sky around the island was still bright and sunny as hours past it seems. But right now inside the study of the belladonna house. Blake was helping her father with the speech they were working on right now. It was quiet right now as the group was in a very important brainstorming session trying to fix up the speech.
Because mainly right now with vance help they found a video that actually showed him under mental suggestiom. It was just him being thrown into a room with that grimm he mentioned before then him attacking it in his monster form. A major part of the speech was solved, they also suggested having him talk about his guilt which was obvious.
Ghira had his reading glasses on as he looked over some of the dossiers"hmm with what we have this may actually prove your friends innocents"he said in shock at all the information they have.
Verona nodded since she joined them early, mainly because she wanted to see anything on what happened to her best friend.
"I know seriously that stuff that girl had was pretty good, but all of this is just…wow"verona said because they had a holo display hooked up going through some of the videos.
Declan chuckled"i agree but, their still is something where missing from this speech"he said pointing something that was obvious. Blake sighed as she paced around knowing what he meant, the faunus might not believe them that this video is real.
"That the video might be faked, and they probably won't even care if he was under mental suggestion"blake pointed out as they all nodded in annoyance. They've been trying to rack their brain around this to help this part of the speech. But with blake still was still a little weary of him even after what shes seen. Jazmine groaned sinking into her chair throwing her hands up.
"How can it be this hard to convince people that guy means no harm?!"jazmine shotued annoyed slinking down in her chair.
"I know dear, this does prove his innocent. But some of it is just very troubling to see that done to people. "Ghira said upset glancing at the dossier of aarne crowly as the cheifitan knew her back in his days at havan academy.
The lynx just stared at all of them annoyed"i told you guys to wait for me before you start digging through it without my help. But umm sir are you gonna be okay?"he asked declan who was just rubbing his puffy eyes after crying. The man shook his head but he was very troubled at what he saw early. That being his best friend being thrown into a room begging to be let out. The reason being was because a child was in their and it was labeled as a combat test. That he didn't want to kill a child again, that grimm took control forcing him to murder a child.
"I..i'll be okay…but lets make sure his family doens't see that or during the speech. I still can't believe that what happened to him and that these thing still exist in our world."declan said still baffled to even be apart of this now.
"Your not wrong, but with what we have so far our message will get our point across to the faunus here. But with today technology they may think the entire thing is staged. "Sienna said as she drank a cup of tea in hand. It tasted sweet and bitter but she didn't mind.
The former white fang leader was right, how exactly could they prove it wasn't faked. Because their might be technology that is able to edit video, files or medical reports maybe. But blake kept pacing around around for a bit more which didn't go unnotice by her father as he placed his hands on his desk.
"Dear what troubling you now? Are you worried we might not be able to help your friend?"ghira asked as blake eyed him for a moment before sighing leaning against his desk facing him.
"A little…i'm just worried our message won't be heard by them, and how the news has labeled him lately and those other grimm knights. It'll be very hard to do this"she stated but paused hesiaitng to continue. Vance just eyed her for a moment crossing his arms.
"Anything else you wanna say cat ears or do you want me to say it?"vance asked as the girl forgot he could read mind. Which meant he knew her troubles already.
Blake sighed"no..um well i'm just worried if hes lying to us. You've all vouched for him maybe i'm just being too paranoid"blake honestly replied which made vance annoyed but he understood why she was weary of him.
Ghira nodded getting up from his desk as he walked over behind her seat, then he placed a hand on her shoulder"i understand your worry dear, but from how hes acted and with recent events. He still hasn't harmed anyone here and from how hes act he regrets his choice. Killing someone isn't easy even if its on accident"ghira stoicly said as blake ears flopped over.
She knows what he means she killed a few people before while in the white fang. Their were few people who came after when she left the white fang along with onxyia. She had to defend herself, its never easy and its harder everytime you do it. The only reason she was quick to kill him was to defend her family.
"I know what you mean…a few rogues came after me when i left…i had to defend myself. "Blake said somberly gripping her metal arm tight. She crossed the line before and sometimes you can never come back from it.
"You weren't given choice but to defend yourself. Its never easy to take someones life it'll just get harder everytime you do. "Sienna said as ghira looked at his daughter who shook slightly. He offered an embrace as she took if as they held it for a bit. The man just comforted her after recalling how she had to kill people. It made her feel disgusting for even taking someone life, grimm are easy because their monsters.
Verona sighed heavily looking down"its never easy when you have to kill someone, but you were just defending yourself before they killed you"she said but looked over at vance with a somber look which confused him. Why was she staring at him.
"Umm why are you staring at me…what you think i killed people. Because for starters i don't kill i break their legs or wrist"vance said with a cocky grin but the bat faunus actually had something troubling to tell him. She didn't wanna tell him but he earn the right to know.
"No..but your sister killed someone"verona said which just got the entire room quiet. Especially vance who just went wide eyed holding his head not believing her. But he knows for a fact his older sister wouldn't kill someone she has to be lying.
"Your…your lying…feathers wouldn't kill someone…it aint her style"vance said in disbelief as tears formed. But before they could asnwred a few knocks could be heard as the door as declan stood up walking over opening it. It revealed kali their with a tray of tea and some food with zoey closed behind her. Along with falk who stepped in.
"Hello everyone were back from our trip to the jail and i thought you.."kali begun before she noticed the almost crying vance who was shaking. The women just set the tray down as zoey just walked over placing a hand on him.
"Hey fish eater you good over here, what see something screwed up from my little brother?"she asked but he looked up with wide eyes as he just began to cry his eyes out. The women just pulled him into an embrace confused wondering what happened.
Falk stared at him confused as he glanced around to everyone with shocked looks"umm okay why the heck is he crying? Don't tell me you saw them torture him"he asked but verona just stared at him for a moment as they exchanged glances. Then it clued him in as he glared at her.
"You told him…i told you shouldn't have told him about that. It'll break him and neo"falk said to their shock he knew about this.
"About what dear? What exactly did my partners wife hide from us?"kali asked concerned until soon enough vance found his voice crying still.
"Sis..sis killed someone…she actually killed someone…why?"vance said as his voice cracked which just made zoey go wide eyed. She pulled him into loving embraces holding him tight as she looked at falk who looked away.
"What the hell happened? I know for a fact my cousin isn't a killer. "Zoey demanded as the pliot hung his head sitting down rubbing it. They sat in silence as soon enough he began to tell them what happened back in the anima.
"Back in the anima we managed to rescue some of the people that vernal women took hostage. Along with finding the traditor that was working with her, but what we didn't expect was him to break free. We tried to pursue him but feathers got to him first. They got in a scrap eventually breaking his aura."falk said clenching his fist as what happened next but verona decided to continue.
"Your sister didn't have a choice, my old friend lee tried to drown her. He shoved her head underwater trying to kill her and she had no choice. She…she stabbed him in throat…he bled out and then we find her crying her eyes out. Along with telling us she didn't mean it"she continued which made some of them go wide eyed at hearing this. But vance just felt hurt hearing this happened to his adoptive sister while zoey gasped holding him close. They just sat in silence for a bit as ghira decided to give them some words of advice on this topic.
"Its never easy to kill someone, sometimes you need to defend yourself when your life is in danger. That line should never be crossed, your sister does regret her actions i'm sure. But also you dear you had no choice."ghira said as he whiped a tear away from his eldest cheek with his thumb.
"You wanted to protect your family, rest assured i've seen the eyes of killers. Your friend doens't have that he regret his actions and…"ghira begun as verona cotninued the statement.
"So does your sister that dumb bull faunus gave him some wisdom. Saying how the first kill is never easy…it'll will always follow you even if you didn't wanna do it"she finished as they sat in silence as vance held his cousin for comfort hearing this. After about ten minutes both him and blake stopped crying as they composed themselves.
"Umm sorry about that…i..i'm just shocked hearing that happen to her"vance replied but they all understood.
"Its understandable hearing that happen to your family. But why don't we keep this from the others they don't deserve to know about"sienna stated as they nodded because zoey rather not have her family hearing this. But she hoped her cousin is handling the guilt okay right now.
"But besides that how did trip to the jail go i'm guessing roland was very shocked?"declan questioned as kali nodded leaning against her husband.
"He was, i'm guessing it might change his views on him luckily. We didn't give them their weapons and had saber escort them to their homes. Hows the speech going?"she asked as her husbands dipped his head for a moment.
"Its going well so far but we can't exactly prove to them were telling the truth. If only we had someone tht could tell if someone was lying"ghira replied which caught jazmine attention as she recalled someone she knows with that extract type of semblance.
"Jae!"jazmine shouted standing up from her seat as they all looked at her confused.
"Umm what about her? Shes just that gecko faunus you guys know?"vance asked but jazmine had some good news.
"No her semblance, sis remember back in the white fang she was an intergator. Her semblance was known as seeker"jazmine reminded as blake thought for a moment before going wide eyed because it hit her. The gecko faunus semblance is known as seeker, if she grasped someone hand she can tell if their lying. If it turns bright green their telling the truth and if its bright red their lying.
Black smacked her face"i forgot about her semblance allows her to show if someone is lying or or telling the truth"blake said as they found a solution to their problem.
"That…might just work but how can we prove it works?"falk asked
Blake rubbed her metal arm"i could go on stage and tell them who took my arm away. Tell a small lie that a grimm took it, if it shows i'm lying i tell the truth…adam tarrus took it. If that won't work we use someone from the crowd to come onto the stage"blake said as they stood their for a moment as ghira just smiled at his daughter.
The large man stood up as he patted jazmine head"thank you for your help dear, both of you would make excellent leaders someday. But i know thats not what you want, though its strange to hear he turned over a new leaf"ghira said meaning adam. But falk looked at blake for a moment thinking of something.
"Yeah though uh do you still hold a grudge against the guy for taking your arm?"he asked bluntly as she blinked for a bit.
"Umm i do but i don't blame him, i'm just surprised he finally opened his eyes. Why do you ask?"blake replied as the pilot thought for a moment.
"Well for starters he gave us a letter that blondie was suppose to give to you"he replied to her shock that yang was suppose to give her one. But she never got any letter from her, she might need to ask her about this later.
"Anywho why don't we go relax and discuss this tomorrow"kali suggested as they decided to leave ghira study as he had some work to do as declan stayed with him. As they walked down the hallway a certain thought came to sienna mind that slipped her mind.
"You know i almost forgot my daughter is incharge of her son with that falcon girl. I swear if she dropped him"sienna said with worry.
"Oh don't worry and ilia are keeping an eye on her and luna. "Kali reassured the bengal faunus slihglty but was worried about him still.
Verona ears twitched wondering where they are"speaking of them where are they right now? "She asked
"Right now their in our guest room piper early wanted to go see him. She won't stopp pestering him"kali replied which made some have a thought cross their minds, maybe they should go see how hes doing right now.
"Maybe some of us should go check on him to see if hes doing any better. "Blake suggested as some agreed with her on that deciding to follow her toward the room he was in. some wondered if he was less fearful of them while someone had an important question for them after seeing some videos.
Though right now in the room zane was in he was laying in bed as he just sat their. His entire bodie felt sore right now from hitting those branches last night along with those faunus beating him up. But right now in the room was piper who was sitting on his bed humming as calida was in the room holding luna. Colt was their too after he was finishing cleaning up the bucket full of black tar in the bathroom. Velvet was their too trying to help, while aruna kept asking him several questions.
"So wait you actually served with the ace ops, thats fricking cool"aruna said impressed as her tail swayed around.
Calida chuckled as she messed with luna cheeks to the tot annoyance as she tired to bite her. But calida dodged it wagging her finger infront of her taunting her.
"Yes, though that does explain how you came up with those strategy so easily during the vytal festival. My daughters were impressed with them"she complimented as he just looked down at that messing with his sheets for a moment.
"Umm yeah…i..i just got some training from tort is all"he softly said with an upset look. Calida looked at him worried because her daughter always told her he was always smiling like no tomorrow. She happy to meet both her daughter partner, she like nothing more than to punch him for hurting their feelings. But it wasn;t right.
"Thats nice though umm are you not going to eat?"Velvet asked worried gesturing to the cold bowl of porridge close by. He eyed for a moment before looking away shaking his head.
"I'm not really hunger…i feel like if i eat i'll just puke"he replied as he held his stomach because it hurt. But this just worried velvet because she recalled what carmine told them before.
Akasha held sorrel rocking him to sleep as he snored a little"yeah well for starters at least you aint in another coma. Now we don't gotta give you sponge baths"she said which just made them stare at her for a moment.
"Okay i didn't need to hear that or image that right now"calida replied shivering because that doesn't sound pleasant as velvet blushed slighlty.
"Oh do not tell me if you want to give him one"aruna said making the girl feel embarrassed as was he.
"No! Seriously your so dirty minded your just like yang"she shriekd. But katherine just chuckled because if her daughter was here she try and tease her saying she could give him one.
Aruna eyed the ring close by picking it up"hey nice ring, where did you get it?"she asked as he glared at her snatching it, holding it close.
"Don't touch that"he snapped back as she flinch slightly.
Colt gave back with a clean bucket gagging slightly from it"kid chill out if you didn't want her to touch it just say so"he replied as katherine was a little curious why he was so protective of it.
"Why are you so protective of it? Did someone give it to you?"she asked as he slipped it back on before looking down upset scoffing slightly.
"It was my mom's…got to see finally see her face finally. Then saw her get shot in the head point blank."he answered which just made them shocked hearing that, as she was a mother herself she wouldn't want her kid to see that at all.
"Umm…that's um sad…sorry for touching it."Aruna apologized as he waved it off. Colt for one was startled hearing him say he saw that wondering if he was alright.
"You doing alright mentally over their?"colt asked as he nodded just leaning back in the bed.
The wolf kept looking at him diagnosing him still because his behavior is clear signs of depression, but there's more to it seems.
"Besides that you should eat something soon, the others will be back later to.."before she finished the door could be heard knocking. All of them turned toward it waiting for someone to talk.
"Who is it?"Calida replied, wondering who was there.
"Its us can we come in please?"kali replied as her voice was muffled, calida walked over opening the door as the women stepped in with a few others behind her. Immediately sienna walked over taking sorrel from akasha.
"Thank you for watching him dear for a moment. I thought my daughter over there did something"sienna said looking at aruna who frowned at her because she didn't hurt him.
Aruna crossed her arms under her bust"hey i didn't do anything and for starters i didn't drop him when the island was under attack"she proudly reminded that as they sat in silence for a bit until blake decided to break it.
"So how are you feeling right now, i'm sure sleeping somewhere warm is better than the woods"she said as he just looked down messing with his skull necklace around his neck.
"I'm fine…you don't gotta worry about me"he sadly said which made his sister looked worried as she glanced toward the food for a moment. He hardly touched it which worried her as she just sat on the bed.
"Don't talk like that alright, look we got a solid foundation on that speech. Quit being so moppy"zoey said patting his head but he just groaned slinking down in his sheets. They felt a little awkward right now but someone decided to introduce themselves real quick.
"Though uh you don't know me kid i'm verona hayley, pleasure to meet you"verona introduced herself but as she did zane shook his head slightly as a sharp pain went through his head. He held his head slightly as someone voice rang in the back of his head that sounded female.
"I sometimes hope if verona or rae see me that they don't have to kill me. I hope my little girl okay"a female voice rang as he rubbed his eyes for a moment then said sometime surprising.
"You knew melissa didn't you"he asked which surprised them he even said that. But verona was shocked right now wondering if he knew a bit what happened to her old friends.
The bat faunus sat at the end of the bed staring at him"you…you knew her didn't you, let me guess that women kept going on about her daughter alot didn't she?"she softly asked as he looked down nodding.
"She..she always talked about her, and um you and another women alot. Hoping they never saw her what she became…i hopes she can be saved or put to peace"zane sadly said which made the women flinch she had an upset look appear on her face which he noticed as a somber look came over her face.
"She..she dead isn't she"he asked as the bat faunus just hugged herself sighing.
"I…she is…but she got to say goodbye to her family at least. And if your asking for who did her in it wasn't her family or me. Someone put my friend out of her misery"verona said as he just looked upset hearing that. To their surprise a few tears escaped as he whipped them away sighing. Kali then looked at the bowl of food picking it up as it felt cool to the touch.
"Hmm though it seems you haven't eaten anything yet. I'm sure you be hunger after spilling your guts out early and like some real food"she said as she studied katheirne for a moment who nodded telling her what she was thinking.
"Yes you said you were hunger early but that was almost an hour ago"katherine replied clueing them in as he just avoided looking at them. Vance fidgetted slightly hoping he wasn't going to try and strave himself now. But soon enough piper just hugged him tight laying her head against him.
"Are you okay scar man?"she innocently asked as he winced sitting up rubbing her head.
"I'm fine sweetie…you should get away before you get sick"he reassured but she wasn't letting go but calida found it adorable how she keeps hanging around him.
"Awww its so cute how she keeps hanging around you so much. She must really like you"calida cooed making him blush slightly as piper held the hug as jazmine tried to pull her off him. But after a few attempts she gave up as she found it funny.
"Well she does stick around jaz over here alot along with onxyia. Kept thanking her for saving her"blake said
"Yeah though you two do share one thing in common, you're both grimm"zoey added but soon enough aruna had to slip up saying something.
"Also being experimented on by that watts guy"she said as her lips moved on her on as she went wide eyed. Zane flinched slightly as the heart rate monitor beeped slightly faster. But Piper gasped covering her neck, shaking in fear right now. They all looked at her as she put her hands up telling them she was sorry.
"I thought I told you early not to bring that up around him, especially her. The poor thing gets scared even mentioning his name, "Katherine said, trying to comfort piper. But she was beaten to the punch as zane snatched her up pulling her close as he placed a hand behind her head petting it. The girl shook in his arms as she cried a little.
"I..i don't want the scary needle again"piper softly cried which just anger calida seeing this. Because those horrible experiments was done on a child none the less. But soon enough to their shock zane just did one thing to calm the girl down.
To their surprise he just hummed a small tune to her as began to sing a small lullaby to her. It was a little surprising hearing him to as it was a sweet little tune. But velvet and vance recalled the lullaby he was singing, the one his real mother sang to him. They sat their as he sang it to her gentle as he rubbed her head as the girl eventually calmed down hugging him. They sat in silence as he just held her close.
"Calm down…you aren't at that lab anymore, no one is going to hurt you. You're safe"he gently shushed her as Piper cried a little, still sniffing.
"I miss mommy and daddy"she cried which made alot of them upset hearing that. But he just brought her up as she had tears still as he whipped them away.
"Your sister told me what happened…i know it hurts that their gone. But i'm sure their watching over you two, happy your somewhere safe. They aren't here to hurt you anymore"he gentyl told her as the girl just lunged hugging him as he smiled slightly. But then he looked at everyone staring at him as he reazlied what he did.
"So ummm that was weird…but hey nice singing voice"aruna teased making some of them laugh as he blushed bright red from embarrassment.
"Hmph never expected to see that today"Declan added
"Maybe when we get to havan we should have and weiss do a duet"blake suggested to some nodding at that.
"Yeah never expected you to sing, your just full of surprises. But seems she doesn't wanna leave"zoey said pointing to the passed out piper clinging to him like a safety blanket. Declan soften his gaze seeing this guessing something, he was doing something that his partner did for him.
"Although we should let you rest, i'll wipe something up for you eat real quick"katherine said as she motioned for them all to leave the room. They all did except for colt who decided to keep watch on them just incase. Soon they were all downstairs to be met by a strange sight.
That being naca laying on the couch holding her broken arm, this immediately shocked them as katherine rushed over to check on her.
"Dear what happened why is your arm broken?"katherine asked undoing the splint as she wanted to use her semblance to heal her. But she stopped her.
"Nah don't use it i'll be fine…besides uh we got a major problem now"naca said as they all took their seats as summer stared at them all with a worried look.
"What happened let me guess you guys got jumped by some muggers?"zoey asked but it was quite the opposite.
"Try a man in special ops gears attacking us while we took a stroll near an open field. "Miyuki said panting exhausted right now but verona guessed what they were doing. but kept it hidden for now until the time was right. This just shocked all of them as they guessed who they were with.
Blake cupped her chin"it seems sangie and her soldiers are still on the island. I'm not surprised they don't wanna go back empty handed"she stated wondering where their base was.
"They wouldn't want to disappoint their employer but this man had armblades inside his forearm. And had a retractable maw my guess hes a faunus. An assassin maybe"summer said
The description wasn't enough but vance cupped his chin recalling something merlot told him.
"Hold on the doc said their are about eight captains that follow under hassan leader ship. "Vance began as they all listened to him intenily.
"Alright but what does that have to do with what were dealing with?"declan questioned as the lynx glanced at him. Then he took a piece of paper as he began to draw eight words along with the crimson talon symbol in the middle as he connected lines to each of them. Once he was finished he produced the eight division of the crimson talon. That being assassin, infantry, covert ops, demolition, marketing, slave trade, asset containment and finally handlers.
"They have division qualified for certain roles in their organization. I don't know who crazy enough to sign on with them. But most are trained like atlas soldiers…he might be ex special forces. With his traits he also might be an assassin"vance explained
"Alright that is not enough to go off of but I'll increase secrutity. I think for the night piper should stay here. "Zoey ordered as they didn't argue.
But katherine looked at velvet for a moment deciding to ask something"also dear early in the room you seem very worried about him not eating. Why is that?"she asked as they looked at the girl for a moment. The bunny faunus ears flopped over not really liking being oggled at but they didn't notice the front door being opened.
Soon enough velvet cracked announcing something"Alright! I..i think he might not wanna eat…because he thinks we're trying to drug him"she said as they looked at her concerned but they weren't surrpsied.
Katherine just looked down hearing that"rest assured we aren't doing that, but it seems your friends isn't really trusting of anyone right now. Which might stem from his time at that lab"she said which just made vance start to pace around worried now.
"No..no..no, its just like what carmine told us back in vale. We should have solved this sooner"he stated which got their attention as sienna handed sorrel to her daughter as she guided him to sit down.
"Dear your telling us this happened before?"sienna asked worried as he hung his head deciding to say more heart breaking news.
"I..it did…she told us after he had a small freakout back in vale. After that she asks all these questions worried if something is happening again. She…she told us he tried to strave himself for a month straight thinking there was drug in his food.``he said which just made them stare at him shocked. But from behind a loud gasp could be heard as some looked to see Nadia standing there with an upset look as she just dropped a bag to the ground. Immediately she just lost feeling in her legs kneeling down as tears began welling up.
"Dammit…i shouldn't have left him home alone…i'm such an idiot"nadia cried hugging herself as sienna walked over consoling her rubbing her back. While the others were shocked to even hear more screwed up stuff that happened to the guy upstiars.
"It'll be alright dear, take some deep breaths you never expected that madman to kidnap him"she reassured guidng her to sit down as she rubbed her back. Onxyia held the case close in hand as she just realzied even more why he never talked about himself. It hurt hearing that.
"Okay are we sure the guys isn't mentally broken or something?"emerald questioned concerned
Katherine cupped her chin"no..no i don't think so, he may be suffering from depression. But he might not wanna eat because hes unwell."she said but tapped her chin as her ears twitched.
"Alright but whats happening upstairs right now?"cardin asked as some just looked toward aruna who nervously smiled at them hoping they won't get mad.
"Okay so um i accidentally let the mustaches guys name slip"aruna said which just made some of them glare at her. But one person especially as they pushed past them getting in the girls face.
"Are you serious?! My little sister freaks out by just hearing his name"eden said in anger as mari was close by as she looked worried. But sun and jazmine pulled eden away as she growled at aruna who felt a little bad right now.
"Calm down alright she didn't mean it…although did you deal with this stuff before?"jazmine asked the bear faunus who just looked down sighing heavily. She hugged herself looking away rubbing her sides. Miyuki looked away rubbing her wrist but kali went wide eyed seeing razor scars on her wirst.
The women snatched her wrist to her shock"hey let me go?!"miyuki shouted as they looked shocked what kali was doing right now.
"Uhh kali what are you doing? Because you shouldn't just grab someone"calida warned but kali just pulled the girl into an embrace to their shock.
"Dear…why are there razor scars on your wrist"kali softly asked making miyuki go wide eyed fidgeting in her arms looking away from them all.
"I..i don't know what your talking about…theirs no razor scars"she nervously replied but katherine walked over seeing her wrist with very old razor scars on them. Summer did too and she was just furious she would even try to kill herself right now.
"Are you serious?! How long have you been doing this, because sucide isn't the answer"summer said as her eyes flashed silver slightly but the girl just looked down.
"She right, that isn't the answer it won't make everything better. "May added because she recalls after the first couple weeks after the fall. Nolan tried to kill himself but luckily her and scarlet stopped him. She recalled finding him trying to hang himself, but luckily they saved him and got him some help. Right now she hopes that letter she sent gets to him soon.
Miyuki looked down in guilt"look…i…i'm not doing anymore ... .i only did it while we were at that lab"she replied as eden shivered slightly as instincts kicked in for sun as he guided her to sit down. Him and jazmine did it so many times for piper it was like a sign.
"Guessing your freak out too, though you got any tips on how to deal with this?"sun asked as the bear faunus looked down sighing.
"Sort of…back at that lab, after my little sister came back looking like a grimm. She was all animal like attacking people not because of her grimm nature. But because she was scared…she was six year old. They did that to a little girl…she would come back crying after they did those test on her"eden began as tears began welling up.
Eden swallowed shivering as calida just sat down wrapping an arm around her"everynight she would just cry herself to sleep saying something hurts. She refused to eat the food they gave her because it make her go to sleep. They put it our food too…but…but were lucky we escaped in time"she said shivering as it peeked their interest why she mentioned that.
"What do you mean your lucky you escaped in time?"blake questioned concerned as vance looked at the two sighing.
"They escaped in time because the day they did it was when she was slated for surgery. And…theirs a chance she could have died from it."he stated which just shocked them the surgery could kill someone. Mari just covered her mouth shocked hearing her niece could have been turned into a grimm knight.
"Your telling me my niece could have possibled died?!"mari said scared panicking slightly as they sat in silence gather their for a bit.
Kali closed her eyes"i'm going to go make dinner for everyone tonight, i would like some help. , calida and verona could you help me"she asked as the three nodded following her to help make dinner for everyone. While they sat their for a bit katherine eyed what was in her daughter hands as she thought of something.
"Besides that its pretty late and we shouldn't crowd his room. Why don't you two talk for a bit then join us for dinner"katherien said to her daughter who was caught off guard by this.
"Are..are you sure? He might not even want me near him.."onxyia tried to argue but she was stopped mid sentence.
"Eh go fix you two relationship, and give him that gift you got him"sombra said trying to motivate her.
"She right because i'm sure everything will be fine. He forgives easily from what I heard good luck"velvet said peeking her on the cheek making her blush slightly
Yang wrapped an arm around blake"yeah we'll be fine down here but don't have too much fun up their"she teased making her blush slightly as she puffed her cheeks.
"Stop it, i'll go but i'll let you know if something troubling happens"onxyia said leaving the group as they decided to discuss a few things. While also discussing their new problem they have right now, but with onxyia she slowly walked upstairs. It took a bit but she was in her own world thinking of the many possibilite that might happen. Their one where he accepts her feeling again or another where he just hates her for the rest of her natural life. She wonders if he'll be his normal self again.
Honestly she felt bad still not realizing the signs sooner and was scared what might happen. Hearing he can't sleep sometimes because of chronic nightmares worries her, she hopes it won't break him mentally. Though part of her hopes he would sing that song for her, she didn't realize her body was on autopilot as she reached for the door handle opening it.
Soon she relaized she entered the room gently opening the door to reveal an awake zane. Laying next to him cuddling his side was piper snoring peacefully kicking her legs a little. He looked down a little seeing her as she slowly walked over sitting on the bed placing the case on her lap. The two sat in an awkward silence until he spoke to her.
"So..um do you need something?"he softly asked as the wolf mustered up the courage slowly.
"Well i was hoping you were doing any better right now. It must be nice to be sleeping somewhere warm tonight. "Onxyia said glancing at the sleeping piper who hugged him for safety.
"Seems you lost that fight with the uras i heard you fight for me"she joked smiling as he chuckled slihglty at that rubbing the uras head gently.
"Guess i did…but don't worry about me. I can handle myself"he meekly replied which worried her since she understands he hurts, but can;t close everyone off.
"Please don't talk like that because um I brought you something. So happy late birthday"onxyia said, presenting the case in hand as he looked at her confused as he hesaintly took it. Zane just stared at the button pressing it then to his shock a guitar appeared in hand.
"I..i..why did you get me some guitar..i can't even play"he replied but she knew he was lying.
"You're a terrible lier, the others told us you played back in vale. I just thought i'd like to try and give you something to cheer you up"she replied hoping it would.
Zane just sighed looking down placing it down"i..i really don't deserve something like this…a murderer and monster doesn't deserve this"he sadly replied which made her look even more upset.
"And…and i don't even deserve to be here right now or anyone help. I should just stay locked up…i'm guessing the belladonna are making a speech to clear my name. But they should stop…i've already caused enough trouble here"he added as some tears welled up as she listened.
He looked at her with an upset look"and…and i really don't deserve your love or vels love…find someone else to make you happy. Loving the monster of beacon will just hurt yo–"before he finished she just emrbaced him tight as he winced in pain slightly.
"Stop calling yourself a monster, you need help you look terrible right now. I'm sure everysince you woke up you received alot of hate latly from human and faunus alike. But you can't push people away who are trying to help you"she cotninued rocking back and forth with him.
"You..you should jus–"he coudln't even finish.
"Do i look like i care if this island cares who i associate myself with? I..i still love because you treated me with so much kindness back in vale. You never cared about who i was, my traits, my eyes…and the same applies to you and vel. I am mad for what you put me through but i…want to try and give us a chance again."she finished as his lips quivered before he returned the embrace burying his face into her chest crying.
"I'm sorry…i'm so sorry for sending that dumb video."he cried as she just hugged him.
"I know...but i love you grimm boy"she said which caught him off guard. But for some reason part of him felt warm all of sudden as he recalled that night they spent on the beacon rooftop. He let tears slip away pulling her in close with what strength he had.
"I..i love you too wolfie"he replied which made her tail wag in excitement being called that again. After a few minutes they let go as he eyed the case sighing as he reached onto the side of this bed. He pulled up his bag then pulled out the notepad to her shock as he set it on the nightstand.
"What are you doing?"she asked but was actually hoping what she thought it was.
Zane grabbed the guitar slowly tunning it for a bit until he got it just right. He picked a few strings and chord that satisfied him as he looked at her"i..i came up with this before i came here..since you got this might as well play for you. Did it for vel already"he said which just made her tail wag in excitement. But what they didn't know was the small audience near the door.
Soon enough he grabbed the pick that was his colors with his initial emblassed on it. Slowly he began to strum the guitar cords at a soft and slow pace, he played a slow tempo as he picked up pace with it. Then he took a deep breath as he read off the notepad.

Onxyia eyes widden as she placed her hand on her heart because no ones ever done something like this for her. He continued his song.

Onxyia listened to the song as she hadn't noticed tears escaping her eyes feeling touched this was how he was going to apolgize to her. It made her tail wag in excitement hearing this as she hummed to the song as he slightly pick up tempo.

The song continued for several minutes until he luckily finished the last note before coughing a little. He gently set the guitar to his side as the two stared at each other. Until he asked something.
"So..um..does that make up for the dumb video i sent"he nerovusly asked as she had tears in her eyes. But she just lunged forward pulling him into a loving embrace as she interlocked her lips with his. He was caught off guard by this but didn't mind until she pulled away. A tail sprouted from his waist as it wagged around in a fluid whipping motion.
"Does that answer your question"onxyia said with tears of joy as he smiled a little embracing her. But the tail kept wagging around as he tried to stop it.
"Uhh how do i stop this thing"zane said trying to grab it but then it bonked him on the head as someone spoke in his head.
"Awww that was cute so thats what love is like?"bane said in his head making him groan.
"Oh my god i forgot he was here ughh go away bug"he said annoyed until the creaking of the door could be heard. The two went wide eyed to see a few of the other their as neo had her scroll out recording them. Soon enough they started applauding them to their embarrassment.
"Hey thanks for the show you two"jazmine teased as neo grinned at the two.
Katherine was laughing"yes, it seems you two finally made up. And he sang that little song for you"she cooed as her daughter threw a pillow at the group.
"Leave now! Seriously i'm not in the mood to be embarrassed right now"she said as her tail wagged as his did too. Piper woke up yawning as her ears twitched
"Why is everyone yelling?"she innocently lazily asked as onxyia petted her head.
"Nothing sweetie, sorry that we woke you up"onxyia said still completely embrassed
Yang was laughing pointing at them"well for starters you kissed him after he threw up all day"she stated but he slinked down.
"Umm early i brushed my mouth out from the taste of vomit but um…why did i feel metal in your mouth?"he asked embarrassed as onxyia stuck her tongue out revealing her tongue piercing she got.
"I..well got this oh a whim to try and cheer myself up during my grieving process"she said embrassed but he just gave a small smile. Soon enough someone cleared their throat as nadia walked over placing a tray of food down. It mainly consisted of some porridge along with some tea
"Besides you two swapping spit infront of everyone i'm sure you hunger."nadia said as he eyed it for a bit as his stomach rumbled slightly but he looked away from it. Onxyia sighed as she just grabbed a utensil taking a quick bite of the food. It was good but she placed the utensil down pushing the tray infront of him.
"We didn't put anything in it, just open up"she said as he wanted to argue but relented as she carefully took a spoon full food placing it near his mouth as he relented taking it which he swallowed feeling some relief.
"Ha ha your getting spoon fed like a baby"yang joked making the two blush completely visible.
"Stop it seriously sorry that i wanna give a bit of pampering. You probably do the same to blake"onxyia retorted as yang opened her mouth to argue but blushed herself right now. This kept going for ten minutes till the bowl was empty with the herbal tea drank.
"Feeling better?"nadia asked he nodded slinking down under his sheet.
"A little…but now i wanna die again from embrasment"he replied as they all laughed slightly at that they all just talked for a bit showing him old weapons which he appeiciated, it felt nice seeing those again. But he was disheartened seeing remorse broken, maybe he could fix it.
But after some discussion for a bit they left the two alone for a bit until the hours ticked by. It was late as soon everyone returned to their respectives homes to sleep for the night. Although in his room was blake and yang because the two decided to room with them for the night. Mainly to keep an eye on him and piper while also close by was nadia sleeping in a chair. Piper was still passed out on the bed but layed with yang and blake as the uras clung to yang for protection.
Sitting on the bed right now was onxyia still awake staring at the broken moon from her spot smiling. She felt esatic right now but glanced at zane who slightly tossed and turned in his sleep. As next to him was velvet holding him from behind sleeping soundly. Knowing one thing to try she just layed down pulling them close in a protective shell. It felt nice holding someone after so long, she drift off to sleep hoping their will be no problems tomorrow.
Well if I start seeing in the comments how I fixed the relationship that quickly...sue me. I wanted to do it with multiple volumes but then i was like that would take alot of time and changing around the story I thought of. So yeah those three are a thing now again.
