Chapter 92:Investigating
Its been well over a week since perun and the other decided to leave lionheart alone for now. But they've kept their eye on him so far and have noitced a few strange things as of late. How he keeps to himself in his office and that he leaves mistral out of the borders even sometimes. Which has made them wonder if hes working with whoever started the fall.
But right now in the havan academy dorms right now that were pretty similar to the ones back in beacon academy. They were separated enough for one side being girls and the other being boys in the team rooms. Though in one of them right now a certain heriness was slowly getting out of bed. Zephyra sat up yawning rubbing her eyes as ame was already up working on her arm
"Well your finally up now zep. How'd you sleep last night?"ame asked using a saudring iron on her arm with exposed circuits. Zephyra stood up cracking her back that felt sore.
"If you count me heading off and training with miss shen mei….god that women can be brutal in her combat lessons."zephyra said
Ame laughed slightly"we did agree to train a bit more while we take a break from our investigation. Though i'm surrpised yourall for it thought you say it was dangerous"she said closing the hatch on her porhtsetic arm flexing it
The heiress rolled her eyes"hey if this gives me a chance to stop the people who destroyed vale. I'll take it…i miss that dumb idiot"she sadly said looking at the floor brushing her hair as her teammate eyed her for a bit sighing.
Before she knew it zephyra had arms wrapped around her as she stared at ame who had a hurt look.
"I know you miss him i do too…god perun the worst still. I know he hides it but i know hes still hurt about tanner being gone. Your not alone"She softly said as zpehyra fought the urge to cry as she just gently returned the embrace as they held it for a few seconds.
"Thank you…though we should get up. Maybe talk to the others that are here and grab a bite to eat. I need to head off to therapy later on."zephyra said as she nodded in agreement as the two got ready. Then as they exited their side of their team room already out side waiting for them was their new leader perun who was messing with his music player for a bit. Until he noticed the two smiling at them.
"Hey you two your finally up. Been waiting out here for like ten minutes"perun said as they talked while walking.
"Well us ladies need to be in proper dress code and shape to present ourselves. Since us heiress are very important unlike you gutter trash"Ame said but smirked slightly as he eyed his partner
"Funny joke their metal hand. Seriously i sometimes miss the two snobby heiress that were on my team at the start. Whatever happened to them"perun said as the two heiress eyed each other as zephyra straighten up her posutre beginning to walk like a lady.
"Well if you want the old me. You need to change your style of clothing to represent our team. Because i zephyra hines heir to the heir airships will not associate myself with two people who dress like criminals and vagubons"zephyra said in a snooty tone to their amusement right now as the two laughed at her for a moment as did the heriness
Ame covered her mouth laughing"God is that how we sound? I thought we were pretty normal when we got here granted were both from atlas"she replied
"Yeah srurpsied you two aren't back their right now even though were in a break.'perun asked with the two heiress looking rather annoyed
"Well my parents were fine with me attending the academy since we moved from atlas not that long ago. We do live in argus but for some reason they request us to be moved back since my uncle does run a company that supplies my father with medicine"Ame explained
Zephyra scoffed crossing her arms"my father was fine with me being here with people i consider friend. But mother was always very controlling of my life even requested the military to send me a body guard."she muttered slightly in annoyance
"Yeah that guy seriously i can't believe you have some special ops soldier following you around."perun mentioned since apparently their some special ops soldier from atlas here that was assigned to follow zephyra around to keep her safe.
Mainly because of his girlfriend and weiss being kidnapped which worries him immenosuly if shes doing alright. Because since rogue decided to run away eria went through so much in the last two weeks after getting her leg all he hopes for is that shes safe and sound wherever she is right now. They continued on their way walking out of the academy until someone called out to them
"Their you three are i was wondering were you were. We made plans to meet with bombay at her place then find somewhere to eat. Remember"thsitie called out as someone else was right next to her
That being a girl who was their age along with having light tan skin with a set of maroon colored eyes as her hair was dark purple long reaching her middle back. As her build consisted of her having an athletic and toned build to her. While she seemed about 5.8 for height
Her attire mainly consisted of a pair of brown pants with some holes on them along with sporting some knee high black combat boots. While she sported an undershirt which consisted of athletic long sleeve shirt that had the sleeves rolled up. While over it she wore a long coat with the sleeves tore off that was colored brown
On her back is what seemed to be a sniper rifle rsembling a dragonov sniper rifle.
"She right because seriously i still cna't believe you guys let me in on this stuff. This investigating stuff sounds like fun"She said as they eyed her
"This isn't suppose to be fun tyra. This is suppose to be serious work and so we don't get caught. The only reason we trust you is because bombay knew you here since her actually family knew yours"thisite corrected as the girl nodded sighing
"Alright…alrihgt i get it i'm best friend with my feline friend. Though you guys doing alright?"tyra asked as they paused for a moment
"If you count actually getting sleep and not geting woken up by the human alarm clock. Fine i guess..i…really miss that routine"Zephyra admitted placing her hands over each other with concerned look
Perun noticed this sighing"look the dorms isn't the same without him or anyone else their. Just…look toward the positive right now. If we keep being moopy then bad things will happen."he whistley siad reassuring her a little.
"If you guys are done not to be rude but were on the clock we gotta go find bombay. Its not a long walk to her house so come on"tyra reminded as they agreed they needed to make tracks.
The five of them began to traverse the city at that point as they wanted to avoid the lower levels. Mainly because they wanted to avoid running into the local criminals down their mainly being the spiders gang and kncukledusters. But as of late the two gangs have been at a feud trying to take over each other territories.
Theirs been a few gunfights in the middle of the streets because of it as the police do what they can. But for some reason huntsman and huntresses have been very thin lately and none of them have been helping with the problems. Their are a minimal few left but they been trying to figure out what with all these disappearing people.
But they were traveling through the market district right now as the vendors were selling their goods. Along with people examingint some weapons, jelwery and food you name it. As the vendors were doing their best to sell their goods as perun eyed them down for a bit chuckling
"Man even though where in the higher level of the city. Their are still peddlers here trying to seel fake jewelery"perun commented
"Hey at least one of us didn't fall for that fake diamond necklace when we first came here"Ame said but eyed zephyra who looked rather embarrassed huffing crossing her arms
"I though it was real since it did….sorry that i wasn't that much aware of scammers. Remember i was raised in a mansion praticualry and jewlery like that was common to me. Jerk scammed me out of 5000 lien….a whole week of my allowance"zephyra whined
"You get allowances? I only get lien if i do chores around my house"tyra retroteed as they laughed at that for a bit. Until after twenty more minutes of walking they soon arrived in the neighborhood distract where most mistral citizen live in.
Their were several house varying from size that were either built into the side of the mountain. But they all matched the style with their oriental roofs or the chinese/ japanese style houses. But they were heading to one of them that being a two story house that was simple like the rest of them as their was a sign infront of the house with a mailbox.
The sign read "vest residents" the first to the door was thsiite who knocked on the door for someone to answer. After a bit of time someone walked to the door opening it to reveal who the owner of this house was.
That being a women in her mid thrites as she had fair skin to her along with sporting brown hair that was in a bun. While her eyes were light yellow along with that having a slender build to her. As she wore a simple red dress skirt that reach the ground along with wearing a tan blouse shirt for her shirt
Though a noticeable thing was that she had the ears of a dog on her head colored brown
The women smiled"oh thisite dear you came by. I was wondering if you were going to be late let me guess your here to come grab my little girl"She asked as the girl bowed
"Yes we came to see about hanging out with her as they say"thsiite replied making the women laugh at her modest behavior
"Don't need to be so modest deary. You can call me katie though come in come in"katie said as they stepped inside the vest home
The home was rather simply as the living room could be seen in as it consisted of a simple little couch. Along with that having a small desk with a lamp that was near a large bookshelf containing a varying types of genres of books on disply right now. Along with that their was a mantle that had a tv above it mounted onto the wall.
While the mantle had a light fireplace behind a metal fence far enough from it. Along with that several pictures of katie with her family mainly being a male dog faunus. Along with a younger boy faunus but at some point it showed a cat faunus who looked rather timid in the photos. The kitchen was in view as it had a refrigerator along with a marble counter top with a sink as well with stools for people to sit while they eat.
But in the middle of the room right now was a little faunus who was maybe nine years old. As he had fiar skin like his mother along with having light yellow eyes and charcoal black hair. While he wore a pair of black shorts with a cyan colored shirt.
As for his faunus trait it was a dog tail that was black as it swayed around. The women smiled at him
"Oh tommy your sister friends are here why don't you say hi"katie said to her son named tommy who titled his head jumping up walking over greeting the first person with a hug being zephyra
"Hwello big sis friends"tommy cutely said maing zephyra heart melt seeing that right now as perun grinned
"Awww thats just cute i thought you'd hate faunus since your from atlas zeph"perun teased making the heiress shoot him a glare before smakcing him behind the head
"I for one am fine with faunus you numbskull. I'm not like everyone in atlas god how can you be so childish at times and relax. Be a serious person leader"zephyra siad annoyed as perun rubbed the back of his head as thisite looked at tommy who tail wagged as he grabbed her leg hugging her smiling
"Nice lady who sings"he cheered as thistle blushed slightly looking at the others for a minute.
Tyra grinned"well seems that your tommy favorite too. Though did you sing here or something to put him to sleep. Since that is your specialty with your boring semblance"She said as thsite growled a little but kept her emotion intact patting tommy on the head
"Nice to see you….though is bombay in right now?"thsite asked as katie nodded walking to the stairs looking up.
"Bombay dear you have visitiros right now come on down!"she called out to her daughter that was in her room
Though in bombay room right now it mainly consisted of a simple room that had one bed in their along with several posters around the room. Their was also a small dresser their for her to store her clothes along with a desk and some tools to work on her weapons. Though their was also several pictures their with her new family that she living with. But right now she was staring into a mirror at that moment
She was busy placing her second contact len in her eye as she was carefully trying not to poke her eye out. The cat faunus was focusing as hard as she can as she carefully placed the lens on her iris blinking for a moment. The contact lens was their as she sighed in relief seeing the cyan eyes not her silver eyes.
Because that was one down side to her eyes that she is basically a target right now because its costed her blood family entire life. That housemaid ratted them out to that witch and all of her families member are now dead all except for her now. Though she heard her mother sighing.
"Coming down"she called back as she left her room but not before grabbing her weapons sheathing them on her back. Once she was downstairs the first thing that happened was her adoptive brother hugging her knees at that moment
"Big sissy"tommy cheered as his tail wagged around as bombay smiled a little as her tail swayed around as she picked him up hugging him.
"Heyya little brother…you playing nice down here with the guest"bombay asked as he nodded se she set him down on the ground eyeing the others for a bit.
"So we gonna go grab something to eat then after that catch up on our studying?"she asked as they all nodded going to the door bidding katie and tommy goodbye as they left the house. They began to walk down the path for a while as they soon decided to find a nearby fast food joint to grab a bite to eat.
That being a chinese takeout place that had a shogun like sigh above it saying "shogun noodles"in bright green letters. As it was an outdoor place along with it being not that busy right now except for a few people. They all got seated quickly as the waiter took their orders for today.
After some time the waiter came back with their meals as perun ordered some rice with dumpling. While for tyra she ordered some sweet and sour chicken with some fried rice with vegetables on the side. As for ame she simply ordered some onigri with a small cup fo tea.
For zephyra she ordered some beef noodles along with a sweet tea in a bottle. As for thisite she ordered some simple sushi rolls with a side of rice balls. While for baby she ordered a bunch of sushi rolls with extra fish.
As most of them had herbal tea or some waters with their meals as they began to eat using some chopstick provided
Perun took a bite of his meal humming slightly"man forgot how good this place can be at times. This place is the best place for takeout"he said eating his meal
"You said it seriously those late night study session back in havan were the best with this stuff"tyra said slurping up her meal as she almost got some on thisite who eyed her down
"Do you mind not eating like a barbarian because this dress is very expensive you know. If it gets dirty it'll take me weeks to get the stains out"thisite warned as tyra eyed her down before getting closer to her slurping a noodle staring directly at her for a long time as the two kept staring
Until she finally got the noodle in her mouth swallowing it then burping in her face as the girl gagged heavily at that turning away.
"Ughhh you disgusting….ughhhhh!"thsiite said waving her hands near her nose as tyra laughed with a cheeky grin
"Come on princess it was just a joke i don't smell that bad. Seriously you need to chill out about your cashmere dress that was handcrafted by the brothers and its worth more than i make it five years"tyra mockignly said to their amusement as thsite growled before grabbing her staff then bonked the girl on the head with the microphone end as she yelped
"That still very rude! Because i for one do not just do something disgusting like that in someone face. Say excuse me please"Thisite sapt as tyra rubbed the bump on her head wicning a little.
"Okay fine seriously take a joke why don't you."tyra said in annoyance
Ame ate her food elegnalty for a minute before looking down at her prosthetic hand for a moment staring at it for a good while. As she was deep in thought as someone popped into her head with a sickening laugh.
Perun noticed her staring at her arm as he tapped on her shoulder to get her attention making her yelp slightly before turning to him
"Hey you doing good over here you've been staring at your arm for a little while'perun pointed out getting their attention
"Yeah what dont tell me your still scared about that psycho who cut it off during the vytal festival coming after you?"zephyra asked as ame froze up looking down laying her head down messing with a chopstick twirling it in a circle
"I um…y-yes seriously you don't know whats it like to live with one of these. At first i was not really used to it though over time i found it interesting to mode my arm several times and i managed to make several new and interesting inventions with it"she begun before clenching her fist tight
"But that psycho kuchisake cleaved it off saying how she had a mental breakdown. I call bullshit because i could tell now that she was properly responsible for that mess. I'm…i'm still very mad that she took eria leg even"she cotninued as perun clenched his fist at that
He was furious at that psycho slit mouthed girl who first chopped off his partner arm saying how she had a panic attack. Which he knows was a huge lie then that scar guy who turns out to be some mad sceitnist son. Then that psycho takes his girlfriend leg while she get away with it like it was nothing. Now one of his friends is on a murder quest to avenge tanner and pyrrha who he still deeply misses
"Your not the only one because when i find that psycho i'm going to break her leg. Unlike my snow angel sister"eria codly said as zephyra sighed
"I know about that seriously when i heard about her running away to go on a murder quest. It spread like wildfire in atlas and mistral i heard. I hope shes okay wherever she is right now"zephyra said with slight concern as they kept eating for a bit until they decided to call it paying for their meals for the day. Then they began to make their way to somewhere seucled right now.
That being an old abaodned warehouse in the middle and upper level of mistral. It used to be adanoned because it used to be gang hideout for the spiders but they moved away from it taking everything away as it just left a barren like assembly line. As they had some couches their since perun and tanner came here to pratice their insrutments because of the accosutics.
Though they were their with one thing several newspaper articles, books and notes they gathered in the last week on the knights of grimm. As they hit some interesting pieces of intel as they decided to try something. Seeing whos gone missing in the last eight years because they noticed a pattern with these grimm knight identities
All of them have died in either accidents or mission that they were sent on since some of the people going missing are huntsman or huntress. Alot of them seem to be homeless people from varying kingdoms along with a few of them being in hospitals that reported their body going missing. Though they had a small bulletin board up right now
That being a board that showed the school their attending symbol with their headmaster name on it along with several greek symbol on their. With two of them cross out being omega and gamma. Along with the ones they've identified to be the beowulf knight known as alpha. That all they had as they had several pictures their of possible idneitties. Along with a picture of team STRQ at beacon long ago from a yearbook they found online.
"Alright so this is what we found out so far. Our combat instructor wife was defitniyl one of those grimm knights. Since me and ame reggonized her when we foguth her after she uh…was killed by qrow branwhen partner of summer rose who were both apart of team STRQ."perun said pointing to the two pictures as ame was nex to him
"Which we also figured out how she went missing ten years ago on a mission in atlas with her arm missing. Which makes her a likely suspect but the thing is well her eyes for one. From what bombay told us how people with silver eyes are grimm worse nightmare"Ame said as the cat balled up slightly nodding
The only reason she told team TPAZ was because she trusted them enough since they wanted to help stop these freaks and another attack from happening.
"Though its weird how no one could find her body. The same for aarne all they found were her legs and some of her feathers. Their are alot of people in the last eight years who gone missing because of accidents or they died"perun said before pointing his finger toward omega
"Then theirs my girlfriend leader who was apparently control by these guys or–"he was stopped as tyra scoffed
"Bullshit that thing was mind controlled. Because in my opinion that thing had to be a dam spy. I mean seriously the i lost my memeoires thing is sucha cliche. I don;t buy it one bit"tyya argued as the rocker shot her glare before corssing his arms at her.
Zephyra sighed leaning back on the couch"tyra look none of us really believe it but for starters don't be rude. From what he told us when eria gave him bits and piece all of that is ture i'm sure."she backed up her new leader who appaiectated it as she rolled her eyes.
"Well i aint gonna buy it when i don't know my best friend here family was slaugther by that other grimm knight that was at the fall"tyra said as bombay flinched gasping covering the back of her neck beginning to take rapid and havy breaths at that moment
As the girl smacked her face relaziing what she just did at that moment caused her to have a panic attack.
"I…your very dumb at times. We can't mention him too much because she had panic attacks because of him and their bad"thsiite said pulling the cat slowly over as bombay was shivering at that moment taking rapid breaths as tears formed shaking her head
"I can't let him find me…i can't….he kill me like he did with dimitri"she cired as perun interest was peaked as it passed. As he wanted to know something about her how did she even survive an ecnoutner with one.
"Okay this might be rude of me to ask but how did you even escape that thing?""perun asked as thisite glared slightly at him about to stop him but surprisingly the cat faunus sighed heavily balling up stroking her tail
"I have to thank my older brother for that…he…he saved me giving me time. Before my semblnace activated that day"bombay saldy begun the tale on how her entire family was taken from her from that grimm knight. Along with that how she managed to eventually survive that hell and then just ran away
Five years ago
It was five years ago in mistral deep in the mountain areas or the forest as nothing stirred awake in the night. As in a certain part of the forest was a stylish mountain that was built around dense foliage and brush as their were walls high enough to fend off any invader that dare attack them. Though right now in the main house being in a small room someone was asleep.
That being a younger bombay who was in a kimoni style pair of pajama sound asleep curled up in a ball hugging her tail in her sleep with a peaceful look. Though as she slept soon enough something stirred the young cat awake as she sat up groggily rubbing her eyes yawning for a bit.
"What that noise….what woke me up?"she gorggily aksed rubbing the sleep out of her eyes with both hands. Until soon enough the noise happened again but it was more audible it sounded like gunfire at that moment along with screaming. Immediately she shot up rushing to her rooms rood sliding it open but it revealed someone.
That being a crismon talon operative who had a sword in his hands but it was dripping with blood. As the young cat froze up backing up scared at she retreated to a nearby window trying to open it. But the operative rushed forward grabbing her by the tail yanking hard as she yelped as he threw her to the ground.
Then he pressed his ear"found another of the silver eyes warrior. I'll eliminate her and bring her corpse to the others outside. "He radio someone who talk to him as she didn't hear it but tried to escape but he planted a foot on her head as he raised his sword to stab her.
The girl saw her life flash before her eyes as tears were flowing down her face though as she layed their expecitng death. Soon a roar could be heard as the operative was tackled off her as the sound of furniture and other things would be heard being smashed. She slowly opened her eyes to see her savior
That being her older brother who was maybe sixteen as he had a muscular and athletic build to him. As his skin was fair as he had silver eyes just like her. He was currently weaning some light blue pants with a grey shirt as his faunus trait was a pair of cat ears.
The boy and the soldier got in a scuffle as he knocked his sword out of his hand as the cat faunus had a curved sword in hand trying to stab the soldier who held his wrist back. Bombaby looked scared seing this.
"Dimitri!"bombay called out as her brother named dimitri got distract which resulted in the soldier shoving back kncoking him into a wall. The soldier shot up body checking him into a wall as he placed his forearm on his throat trying to choke him out as dimtri tried to push back but the soldier was stronger
The young cat looked scared before eyeing the sword the soldier dropped before hesaintly picking it. It kept shaking in her hands but she closed her eyes rushing forward before jamming it in the soldier side as he roared in pain as he stared at her.
"You little bitch!"the operative shotued before backhanding her to the ground as dimitri was still being choked against the wall. The soldier began to wrap his hands around his throat beginning to choke him out holding his throat like a vice.
"Thats it i'm killing you two dam pest. Then i'll delvier you to alpha and we can be congrualted by our queen for–"he was stopped before a loud gunshot rang out as the soldier fell down to the ground limp as dimitri gasped for air hacking and coughing to get air in his lungs. Near the doorway was someone else.
That being three people the first being a man who was in his mid forities as he had tan skin along with having a very msucualr build to him with silver eyes. Along with that wearing a pair of black pajams pants with a jakcet on over him. As he sported a long black cat tail as his hair was cut short. As in his hands was a smoking rifle
As next to him was a girl who was maybe fourteen with light tan skin as she had silver eyes as well. While she wore a simply blue robe with some purple pajama pants along with a grey longsleeve shirt. As she had slipper on as another person was with them
That being a women who seemed to be in her late twenties. Along with that she had flowing brown hair styled into a viking braid. As she had dark blues eyes with pale skin complexion to her with a toned build.
While her attire consisted of a pair of black pants and a few pouches on her hips. As she wore tan boots with a undershirt cosniteding of a wool sweater that was grey in color while she wore a dark blue field jacket over it. As in her hands was a shotgun as the man rushed over to bombay
"Oh my little girl your okay….thank god we need to get out of here"he said as dimitri got up hacking and coughing rubbing his throat as the other girl rushed to him
"You good over here older brother?"She asked concerned as he nodded
"I am stella…though whats going on dad who are these guys. Are they military or something because they look like it"he said gesutirng to the dead soilder as bombay regrettable looked at it beginning to cry as he rushed over turning her away from it.
"Don't look little sister…close your eyes"dimitri insutrcted as she avoided it but felt very sick seeing it as the man who was their father guided them out of the room. They began to walk the hallway with a few others who were in armor that bore some gravestone like symbols on it as they were escorting them through the hallways right now. As a few others in some winter clothing were with them some with silver eyes other without.
"evior what are we going to do they seemed to have found out where we are. We need to get you and your family out of here now"the women said as the man sighed looking at his children for a moment
"Well we could get out of here with the tunnel but their blocking them by denating explosives their. Along with that dam housemaid of ours let them in and is assisting them in the slaughter of our family and the people loyal to yours. I'm sorry old friend that i requested you and your guards to protect us"eviror said as the women shook her head
"Don't be we gravekeepers and silver eyes need to stick together. Beside theses guys are some other families who've been with ours for generations. "She replied as one of the guards chuckled watching their backs.
"Ivory come on we do our best. But heck we don't gotta share what your family and these felines got at least"he joked as the women known as ivory shot him down with a look.
"Head in the game right now. Once were outside you are going to have to watch out for these kids. I'll join you sir you run ahead while we handle this thing in the grounds"ivory said but the man had a different idea as they reached the doors eyeing his kids sighing with a somber look as he glanced at his son
"Son do me a favor keep your sisters safe and run like your life means it. Also ivory go with them i need to find my wife along with anyeone else whos still alive"eviror ordered to his kids shock
"Dad…don't we…we might not see you again please–"stella was stopped as the cat hugged his other daughter eyeing bombay before pulling her into a loving embrace as she hugged him scared right now at whats going on.
"Don't…i'll see you all again i need to make sure your mother and other family members get out. Once we step outside run toward the south entrance their is a wall blown out. Alright"eviror said as stella just had tears hugging him as bombay hugged him tight as dimtri stared at his father giving a nod. Then they got to the door as ivory ehxled before pushing the doors opened.
Immediately once they got outside bombay nose was asssautled by several smells in her nose that smelled disgusting. As she began to gag a little as she could also smell smoke. But as she stared outside to her home her silver eyes went wide.
Because several building were on fire right now along with people who were apart of her family running away with their lives. Along with the guards of the estate fighting off their invaders being men in black taitcal gear along with that grimm. Grimm roamed the estate like nothing as some of the guards foguth them off along with a few of the people here with silver eyes
As they got out dimtir quickly grabbed her hand beginning to guide her away from the chaos. But as they did she regrettable looked back to see her father rush head into danger as he raised a hatchet in his hands changing his rifle into a sowrd. As he sliced a grimm head clean off its shoulders as another found him to be easy prey. But the cat experly dodged it raising the sword as he sliced into its chest then drove the blade into its heart killing it. He was slaugthering through the grimm like nothing with the guards helping him though eventually she saw something that she coudlnt' belvie
As a strange looking man jumped onto her father who struggled under its grasp but it opened its mouth before bitting into the man throat beginning to tear his throat out. Then the beast began to dine on the man body as bombay had tears running down her face
"Dad!"bombay called out trying to run back but dimitri pulled back but the creature then turned toward their direction as they kept running a few of the soldiers were by his sider as he got on all fours beginning to give chase right now. The creature kept running on all fours after them as a couple of the soldier shot a few of the people with them dead as they fell to the ground.
But one shot rang out as suddenly hitting dimitri in the side as he cried in pain holding it but he kept running ignoring the pain. As stella was a little farther behind before suddenly the creature lunged ontop of her pinning her to the ground as he began to manically laugh raising his clawed hands
"Awww poor little silver eye….my mistresses will be happy to hear your dead. She'll be very pleased"he tuanted raising his claws as stella screamed but was immediately silence as bombay watched him tear into the back of her skull as she layed lifeless on the ground as she began to cry freezing up as she didn't want to move.
She was terrified right now as dimitri was pulling at her to move right now. Because he wasnt going to lose another one of his siblings today no matter what.
"Come on…sis…we gotta move…theirs nothing we can do…come on"dimtri pleaded as he winced in pain on his side as the creature looked at the two siblings licking his lips as he licked the blood off his clawed fingers
"Don't be scared little one i conri the beowulf grimm knight will make it quick. Because you two are next"conri said evily as he readied himself to pounce at the two but ivory turned around before blasing him back with her shotgun luanching him into a building. Then she rushed over to the two eyeing stella closing her eyes
"Dimtri grab her we gotta move i can at least save you two"ivroy ordered as he picked her up before using his semblance. As he concnertaing as the three blipped away as they got teleproted outside of the house where the forest was but it was snowing that time of year. As the cat faunus panted since he barely had enough energy right now.
Dimtri panted still holding his sister close"God…i forgot how tiring it gets….when i teleport with people. How far are we?"he asked as they were barely out of the estate grounds right now as ivory looked over at the wall shocked as bombay peeked behind her brother. To see conri standing as he dug out the shotgun pellets in his chest.
The grimm hybrid smirked bearing his bloody canines"their you three are….just gotta kill you and i'll cotninue the slaughter"he said rushing toward the three until ivory growled before she did something as he right hand suddenly got covered by something as her arm morphed into a crossbow. Then she began to fire off some bone like arrows toward the best as it pierced him as he just tanked them. But then he just lunged at her getting ontop of her as dimtri started to run off.
Ivory struggled under his grip as bombay didn't hear what they said but soon enough she saw him curbstomp her head in as blood stained the snow immedialty. Dimtri glanced back at this closing his eyes tight exhaling setting his sister down before handing her something a pistol and placed a bag on her.
"Little sister run away from here and don't look back now!"dimtri ordered as the young bombay stared at the heavy object in her hands as tears flowed
"But…but what about you…i don't wanna lose my big brother"bombay cried as he smiled a little placing a hand on her cheek sighing before swallowing
"Get out of here baby sister…please'dimtri ordered as she began to make her way through the snow but as she did she could hear her brother and that thing fighting. She glanced back as she kept running to see him use his semblance to teleport around corni several times slashign at him. Until eventually he predicated where he was going to go until reaching in the air snatching him up then twisted his leg snapping it as he cired in pain.
Bombay just looked in complete horror as she just lost all of her family in one night as she began to cry at that moment. For some reason some was starting to swell inside of her as she memroize her brother semblance for some reason. Then conri grinned at her.
"Your next little one!"he roared as he lunged at her as she shield herself with her hands before suddenly she bliped out of thing air as he landed in the snow. Before she knew it she was in the air slightly before falling down rolling down a snow covered hill as she finally stopped landing at the body as she panted for a bit.
As she slowly picked herself up as she stood their in the blistering cold taking in what just happened. She just lost her entire family to that thing and now shes all alone. Because someone is after her now for her eyes as this was her curse.
Present
As the cat finished her story shaking a little exhaling to calm herself they all processed what they heard for a moment in complete shock. Perun looked horrified to hear that she lost her entire family in one night to that grimm knight. As ame looked surprised but concerned for her as zephyra covered her mouth.
"So…thats what happened to your family. That thing…slaugthered all of them just like that in one night"zephyra asked shocked
Bombay sniffed rubbing her eyes"yeah…why i mainly wear my stupid contacts. To hide them they might know who i am. But i just hate them now….all it did was get my family killed"she cried as tyra patted her back sighing
"After that i lived in a port town that was close off to menagerie. One day she came to town while it was snowing. But when me and my parent saw her covered in blood everyone was scared. But dad rushed over concerned asking what happened and where her family was and well. She began to cry her eyes out since our families have known each other for a while and trusted each other. "Tyra said as bombay sighed looking down
"As for me…they wanted to take care of me but i didn't want to. But her parents ran a small program for lost kids and soon enough my new parents came and adopted me. I lived in menagerie for a year till we moved back to the capital because of my parents new jobs. "She continued
"Do they know about your eyes?"ame questioned as she shook her head
"No…i didn't want them to be apart of this but…god that was the worst night of my life"bombay cired as they sat their for a bit as perun was curious about something
"What the heck is a gravekeeper that ivory chick said that who she is. I never heard of that name some merc group?"he questioned as the cat thought for a moment shrugging her shoulder
"I don't know…her family was very weird always hiding thing from us saying secret even though their allies. She was nice….a bodyguard for us along with some people in her family. Its…hard to remember a little about her"bombay said as they sat their for a bit until zephyra felt something buzzing in her back pocket as she sighed
"Speaking of bodyguards mines asking where i am right now. God those two are annoying me to death. Stupid atlas sparatans….i need go. Good luck with your investigations"zephyra said bidding them goodbye as they decided to come up with a plan on where to explore next as she went off to therapy for the day.
We got some backstory on who bombay was and how she lost her family to conri whos dead meeting a new face named tyra and it seems that zephyra is still hurt about tanners death. But the names mentioned are my own oc's for this chapter.
