Chapter 93:Paradise Hostaged
It was still a quiet night on the island of menagerie but in his home right now was roland. The home in question was a two story house along with the outside of it being like most other building on the other island. But right now he sat in a certain room in the house. That being his daughter room he kept tidy for her still.
The room in question had a simply bed in the corner with some greens sheets for were several different types of seashells on one dresser which was a wide variety. She loved to collect them when she was little but that collection seems to have stopped now. Along with that their was a nightstand close to the bed with a lamp.
Their was also a small dresser that had her clothes, along with some family pictures their as well. The crocodile just stood up walking toward one picking it up seeing something making him smile. It was the day she got accepted into shade academy, he recalled her being so excited that day.
"I wish you were still here little croc, sometimes i wish you never became a huntresses. But you must have did some good in the world. Saving as many people as you could."roland said as he walked over to the nightstand.
Once he picked that picture up it showed her three teammates smiling with her. He started to recall what happened when her daughter partner came with her back in vacou.
Flashback
The man was sitting their clutching his daughter dead bodie in his arm crying his eyes out still. He was seething in rage as someone was talking to him. Roland looked up at the person right now who was suppose to protect her.
He looked up seeing a girl with pink colored hair that was medium in length and she had dark yellow eyes. Along with that her skin was lightish tan along with a scar on her right cheek. Her bodie was athletic in appernace but she wore some black jean shorts with pink leggings that reached her upperthigh. Along with that she wore a vest with fur on it colored tan while the vest was colored dark brown. She had on a longsleeve shirt underneath it that was a crop top colored silver grey. The girl had boots on with some pouches on her hips.
This was Roz fuco partner of lapiz diles.
" please calm down…i..i..i'm so sorry"roz apolgized to him as he kept crying his eyes out.
"That..that thing killed my little girl…it..it needs to die. That adomination needs to die!"roland cried in rage right now but from the side someone grabbed him shaking him.
"Chill out dammit! That thing didn't kill our leader alright"a girl voice said as he looked up at her.
Their stood a girl with pale white skin and bright orange eyes, her hair was bright blonde in ponytail. Along with that she had a slender build as she wore long brown pants with a pair of light blue sneakers. She wore a long sleve zip up shirt that was bright yellow with it unzipped to reveal her chest. While underneath she wore a simple tanktop that was black in color. She had a small dear tail for her faunus trait.
This was dandee flowers, teammber of team LRZD.
Roland choked tears back shaking his head"your…your lying those monster took my little girl away from me"he cried but dandee just soften her gaze as she had tears already streaming down her face.
"It..it didn't…we were going to die if it weren't for him. Our team was low on aura, some manitcore attack her. "Dandee begun as she hugged the man tight as he still held his dead daughter.
"The dam thing almost ate her…but that…thing who started it. He stopped it but at the cost of her getting really hurt"dandee said choking on her words slightly.
Roz nodded before getting to his level as the two stared at each other before she began to hug him with tears streaming down her face.
"Zydra got hurt as well…he told us to run while he held it off. But…when we got back their was only medical suppiles for one of them. "Roz said looking at him with tears in her eyes.
"Lapiz told them to save her…i'm so sorry…i'm so sorry"roz cried as the three just sat their holding the still cold lifeless body of lpaiz diles. Who had a small smile on her face happy to see her father one last time.
Flashback over
As he sat their someone knocked on the doorframe getting his attention as he looked up to see his wife standing their. Sophia looked at him with an upset look.
"Dear i know it hurts that she gone, but she did what.."she didn't even finish as he stood up hugging her.
"She did what a huntress would do, and i'm not just realizing my mistakes my love"roaldn replied to her confusion as they walked through the halls.
"Oh your talking about how you wanted to hunt down the person who started the fall?"sophia replied as he just nodded.
His wife smiled slightly"so you finally realzied that it wasn't his fault she died. She died making sure her teammates got to their families okay. And their grateful for that"sophia said gesturing to a picture on the wall. He looked seeing a portrait of his eldest their standing proud with her weapon in her hands. With her team name above it with the words ensirbed above it"Lapiz Diles, leader of team LRDZ. one of the best at shade academy".
Roland just leaned against her"i..i know that she would be ashamed of me trying to kill someone in her name. But i just.."before he begun someone called out to him.
"Daddy i had a nightmare"a sweet voice said as he looked down below him seeing a girl with mika colored hair and light green eyes. Her skin was lightish tan and seemed to be six year old. Her faunus traits was a croc tale like his as she was in some dark green pajamas.
Roland knelt down hugging her"its alright mika, lets get you to bed sweetie. "Roland said as he walked into her room tucking her in. the little crocodile faunus looked scared slightly as he just brought a chair up rubbing her head. It took a bit before she gently drifted to sleep. The man smiled because if he was locked up he wouldn't be able to be here for her. Soon he drifted to sleep watching over his other pride and joy.
It was a quiet new morning on the island of the fuanus as in the belladonna household everyone was already up it seems. All except for onxyia who was slwoly stirring awake after her body told her too. Once she woke up she yawned holding something as she squeezed it gently.
"Morning sorry If I held you…"onxyia begun before going wide eyed only seeing velvet in her arms except one person. As the rabbit wore a pair of brown sweatpants with a black top presenting her modest bust. Immeidalty the two shot out of bed still in pajama.s their they ran into blake, yang, calida and aruna who just got up.
"Whoa where the fire wolf ears and bunny ears?"yang asked
"Though morning dear did you sleep okay?"calida greeted the panicking faunus
"I sort of did i guess but when i woke up this morning i couldn't find zane"onxyia quickly said to their confusion because they all just got up as well.
"Yeah because that kinda weird since he managed to slip past um us"velvet added
Blake cupped her chin"hmm thats strange did you check if he was in the shower. He could also be downstairs for breakfast"blake suggested as onxyia looked into their room seeing the bathroom door open. Then she shook her head as they decided to headdownstairs.
Once they were downstairs the faunus were assaulted by a sweet smell of breakfast even yang and calida could smell it.
"Whoa what the heck smells so good, did auntie make something special today?"aruna asked as her mouth slightly watered.
"I don't know, but your right something smells good"blake agreed as they walked down into the dinning hall. They walked in to see the blairs here along with the rest of the house residents digging into their breakfast. Kali had a cup of tea in hand smiling at the five who sat down.
"Oh you six are finally up. We thought you were going to miss breakfast"kali replied
Jazmine was digging into some pancakes"yeah seriously this stuff is to die for, you gotta try some of this sis"she said with her mouth full.
A certain uras faunus was close by eating what might be her third plate of pancakes humming in delight. "Yeah fluffy white cakes"piper cheered to some amusement as calida sat next to her patting her head. All of them looked at the current spread being a variety of pancakes, oemelts, hashbrowns, sausage links, pastry, strawberries, blueberries and sliced bananas. Along with juice and milk
"Whoa this is impressive, you guys must have woke early to make this"aruna said fixing herself a plate with an omlet and hashbrowns. While yang took some pancakes with some sausagelinks. Blake made a plate with an omlet and some fruits, while onxyia grabbed an omlet with some juice. Velvet grabbed an omlet with some sliced fruits and pastry.
But looked around for zane not seeing him here"umm this all looks great auntie, but has anyone seen zane?"she asked
"She right because i..well this is impressive even by your skills"velvet added taking a bit because it tasted heavnly
Kali sipped her tea for a moment"oh i didn't make breakfast this morning dear. Someone else in the house did"replied to their confusion. Blake took a bite of her breakfast as her ears straighten out it delight
"Are you sure? Because you've outdone yourself this time mom"blake complimented
Yang took a bit of her pancakes as she gave a delightful hum"seriosuly this is good it might rival my dad cooking back on the patch"she replied digging into her breakfast.
Verona chuckled as she drank a nice cup of coffee with a pastry while luna who eating some banana slices"i'll bet it even beats drav cooking, he can make a mean stew i'll tell you"she replied
"Alright but that doesn't anwser my question where is z–"onxyia couldn't finish as soon the kitchen doors opened to reveal someone. That being zane carrying another batch of food as he set in on the dinning table. Piper took more pancakes gleefully but some were surprised by this.
"Uh heres the third batch and the last for today"he said taking the apron off setting it close by.
Neo hummed in delight eating her breakfast"okay but maybe next time don't make something so good"she signed
Aruna dug into her breakfast as her tail slihglty fell to the ground relaxed"whoa! This is really good its probably better than my mom cooking"she said as sienna frowned slightly hearing that. For one her cooking was still good as she gentle rocked sorrel in her arms.
"For starters young lady, its not my fault he wanted to make breakfast today for everyone"sienna said pointing toward zane. Onxyia was surprised by this as she picked her utensil as she took a piece of her omelet. When she took a bite her eyes light up as her tail began to wag in excitement right now.
"This…this is really good, you actually made this? Why did you never do this back at beacon"onxyia asked continuing to eat her breakfast.
"She right becuase it tops cardin cooking…I kinda want more"Velvet admitted eating her brekafast
"She right seriously you could even top ren cooking"yang replied with a mouthful of food continuing to eat it. Zane nerovusly rubbed the back of his head.
"I..i never really had time for it…plus i didn't wanna look uh…girly"zane meekly replied as he sat inbtween onxyia and velvet. Nadia just chuckled eating her breakfast with delight happy he did something like this.
"Oh come on learning how to cook isn't too girly. That winchester boy can cook you can even rival his cooking"nadia complimented.
"Yeah though why did you decided to make everyone breakfast today?"claida asked intrigued because it seems her daughter leader was full of surprise.
He layed his head down"oh I just wanted to thank everyone for the last couple of day. Along with burdening them as well"zane said sheepishly.
Blake shook her head"your alright its the least we could do after all the stuff you provided for the attack on havan"she reassured
Ghira was drinking some coffee reviewing the speech for today as he had his glasses on."it was generous of you to do this. But i know a kindred soul when i see one."ghira replied as zane to their surprise stood up bowing to them as a sign of respect.
"Thank you sir for your hospitality, and sorry again for troubling your home"he said, placing his hand together bowing. This caught a few off guard because he was such a jokesteer back at beacon.
"Heh guess you can act serious at times. Weird seeing you all monkish or whatever"yang replied as she began to grab seconds immedialty.
Declan chuckled eating his breakfast because it was really good as he had his third plate"she right, when i first met you i chalked you up to being an idiot"declan said as his wife pinched his tail making him yelp slightly.
"Dear be nice, though for starters it seems you have your own personal cook and musician now"katherine cooed as her daughter was in mid bite of her food blushing from that. It was nice he did this but it embarrassed her slightly. A few of them laughed at that as ghira looked over the speech they have. From how he sees it its pretty solid but he glanced at someone specific he wanted to do the speech.
"For today speech i feel like our message will get across to them. With all this evidence it may yet clear your name. Which is why i thinking of having you do the speech today blake"ghira said making her go wide eyed.
"Wait…you..you want me to do it? Are sure that wise?"blake asked. Ghira only nodded smiling.
"You've grown to become a fine young women. You've experience some of what these grimm hybrids are which may help get our message across"ghira said
Blake thought for a moment before looking at yang who nodded in full agreement on it.
"Alright i'll do it, i'm guessing your giving it like we discuss before at one?"she asked as he nodded.
"Percsily though we'll have your friends spread out throughout the crowd incase anyone trys anything. "Kali added
"Along with having guards patrol the place as well for any of those mercs"sienna reassured as they were all finsihing up breakfast. As they did zane was picking it up by himself to some surprise.
"Hey you need any help picking stuff up?"jazmine offered but he shook his head.
"I..i can clean it up you all just relax"zane replied as he had a few dishes in hand to take to the back. But calida shook her head walking over trying to take them away.
"Nonsense you should go pratice for your part of the speech. You made breakfast let someone else clean it up"calida said trying to take the plate away but he a bit of time the plate slipped from his hands as they crashed onto the ground shattering into several pieces. It made some of them jump as they looked over.
"Ohh that sucks guess your gonna need some new plates auntie"aruna said
Kali chuckled walking over"it not like our house got burned down. I can at least replace these in an hour unlike a ruined house"she replied
Zane started to visibly shake"i..i..i..i..i'm so sorry..i d-didn't mean to..um..i"he said fumbling his words. Nadia was shocked because he looked terrified right now
"Dear relax its just a few broken plates no one going to hit–"kali said this reaching to reassure him but he visbale flinch preparing to get hit. This shocked her and the others how hes acting. Calida walked to the kitchen retrieving a broom and dust pan as she sweeped up the broken plates.
"Sweetie no one going to hit you over some dumb plate. Why don't you get some fresh air"nadia said motherly as he just nodded walking outside toward the back. Then she turned to the other as blake held her head. She didn't take into account his current mental state right now.
"That was a little weird and kinda sad don't you think"aruna stated the obvious to her mother annoyance because it was. It was upsetting seeing someone so scared they think they'll get hit over something so simply.
Onxyia began to stroke her tail worried"are…do you think he'll even be his old self. Because he just looks so sad all the time"she stated
"I..i don't know maybe all that harassment has been getting to him latly. Alot of people didn't really like him"Velvet sadly added
"I agree, seriously back at beacon he would joke around about everything and anything."yang said sadly looking down.
Katherine cupped her chin"well for starters my guess is he just scared someone will hit him for a simple mistake"she said eyeing her husband who looked down with guilt guessing what she meant. But vance just sighed eating his breakfast.
"Eh your fine old man, probably just recalling his time that sangie women beat him"vance said casually.
But this resulted in piper gasping a little covering her neck shaking at even hearing her name. Some looked toward vance who smacked his face as the little girl kept shaking in fear. Verona walked over picking her up as she hugged her like a safety blanket.
"I..i.i don't wanna get hit anymore…i don't wanna do more test"piper cried shaking as the women just rubbed her back gently. She had a disgusted look on her face.
"Okay seriosuly that merc captain is messed up, she was about six when she was kidnapped right?"verona asked
Onxyia nodded"She was but how bad was she?"she asked looking at miyuki who joined them for breakfast today. Summer insisted she stay the night with them for some reason but others knew exactly why.
Miyuki just glared clenching her fist in anger recalling what that women did to her.
"Oh you mean that psycho? Seriously all those mercs care about is their next paycheck a few of them are nice. But that women is sadistic its like she enjoys beating people."she started clenching her fork as she threatened to snap it in half.
"Back in the lab everyday before they take her away for those so called test. If she didn't eat the stupid food she snatch her from eden. Then beat her or shock her…she was just a little girl"she continued as tears slipped away slowly as she stared at the table. It pained some hearing that even happen to someone so young.
Miyuki had tear drop onto the table"i..she even came back one day with a broken leg. T-that women did it…and she was proud of it. Proud of hurting a little girl..saying it was another paycheck."miyuki finished ugly crying a little as some just felt disgusted hearing that. Yang eyes changed to crimson as she cracked her knuckles slowly emphazing each pop of her knuckle.
"You guys said that chick still on the island right?"yang questioned as some of them nodded.
Then she grinned"good because next time i see this merc i'm going to make her drink through a straw"she said frimly
Kali gave a simple smirk"hmm i might join you, but jazmine dear why don't you go take her into the other room. Bastet and her daughter are in their, maybe playing for a bit might relax her"she asked as her youngest nodded as her and verona walked over to the lounge where the two were. While the others sat their for a bit on what to do about their other scared guest.
"So for starters uh someone should go check on my brother. I ca–'zoey begun but someone else offered.
"Hold on i'll go check on the kid, owe him that much for bringing diego back. Along with socking him across the jaw"decaln replied but nadia stood up in his way grabbing his shirt collar.
"If you harm a hair on his head i'll tear your tail off then shove it down your throat"nadia warned as he fully understood what would happen if he hurt the kid, he didn't plan on it. While he walked over sienna decided to join him carrying sorrel in her arms which confused them.
"Dear why are you going with him?"calida questioned as the bengel faunus looked over at her partner with a smile.
"I might as well help my partner, were already doing the speech. But i've lived with a doctor for years, seen and helped a few people with trauma. "Sienna said to the women as a gentle smile came over her face.
"T-thank you partner…we'll be here if you need anything. "Nadia said as the two made their exit to the back of the house.
"So what should we do now?"yang asked
"For starters why don't we all get the others prepared for the speech later. Station them in key locations that might have someone attack."calida suggested
Ghira nodded bushing his beard"maybe have that zehong girl provided security on one of the building"he said
"Uh wouldn't sis be good for sniping too, shes a better shot"xander complimented his sister who tail wagged from it.
Katherine hummed at that"she could but her chew toy seems relaxed when he around her with the rabbit. It might help with the speech"katherine stated as onxyia was going to argue but it sounded nice.
Aruna tapped her chin at that"hey yeah why is he so relaxed when hes around you. Maybe because your dating."she said but vance just smiled at that as he helped pick the dishes up.
"Actually no maybe she reminds him of marrow. That wolf ace op, apparently he helped him with his panic attacks alot"vance said which surprised some as nadia smiled hearing someone look out for him. The photo album was still down here as neo grabbed it flipping to one with marrow.
The mute pointed to him to ask if that was him as her brother nodded."huh those two do seem pretty close. Guess he likes thing that resemble a wolf maybe even bunnies"zoey teased making onxyia and velvet groan to their amusement.
Meanwhile outside in the backyard sienna and declan were looking around for the grimm hybrid for a bit. It took them a while but they found him sitting on a chair holding his head talking to hismelf it seems.
"Hmm seems my daughter boyfriend is talking to himself. Great he crazy"declan joked
Sienna chuckled"probbaly talking to that little friend of his in his back. Lets just take it easy"sienna said as they approached him as he was talking to bane.
"Oh c'mon kid they aint gonna hit you. Everyone been so nice"bane stated
"I..i..shut up you crpytic bug..i don't wanna hear it"zane replied thinking he was alone.
"Talking to yourself now, though your talking to that little passenger in your back"declan said startling him to sprout beowulf-like ears ontop of his head and his tail. It was a little strange but he balled up burying his face into his knees.
"I um sorry..maybe i shouldn't be doing that"he meekly replied as declan stood behind the tree next to him leaning against it. While sienna took a seat next to him as they sat in silence.
Sienna rocked sorrel who was awake cooing slightly"dear you need to be relaxed, no one is going to hurt you here. It was a simple mistake"she softly said
"She right i know everysince you woke up from that coma you;ve been treated terrible. But it was just one simple mistake you made inside"he said reaching out to touch him as he flicnhed again. But he gentle patted the top of his head.
"For starters i'm sorry for clocking you in the face at the funeral. I..i apperciate you brought my partner bodie back. He must have protected you"declan said as zane looked down placing his feet down as his ears slightly twitched.
"He..he did…him and meli…everytime they'd come and beat some of us"zane said shivering at the thought as sienna gently placed a hand on his knee.
"I..he protected me making sure i never got hurt. Always smiling saying he wouldn't let them lay a hand on me. "He continued as some tears slipped away thinking what happened next.
"The d-day he lost control was upsetting…he wanted to make sure i didn't see it. But i did and…and i'm sorry i couldn't save him. If my bracelet was fixed on time he could have been saved"zane finished with tears slipping away. But declan just knelt down hugging him for a moment as he felt content hearing he did some good still in the world.
"We can't save everyone, i know you feel guilt for the fall. But you can redeem yourself for what happened, doing some good may make up for that wrong"declan said undoing his hold as sienna took this opportunity to hand him sorrel.
"I..um ma'am…i shouldn't hold him pl–"he tried to stop but she shook her head.
"Stop, just place his head where your forearms are, then nestle his head in the crook of your arms"sienna insutrcted as he did just that as he stared at the small baby faunus as his tail whipped around hanging over him.
Sienna smiled"for starters i've seen killer and people who are hurt. Your no killer, your just hurt but you never asked for this dear. "Sienna stated
"But right now you need to relax, no one is here to harm you. And i know you don't mean any harm to anyone here"she added as his tail reached over sorrel as he reached out grabbing it. The blade part retracted as he held it giggling.
Zane just smiled at this before he handed him to his mother nodding"i um…your right thank you for this talk. I'll go pratice for the speech"he said waling back to the house as the two joined them content they helped him relax.
Back inside the house mainly in the lounge was blake watching over her little sister from the distance as she went over the speech. But she kept glancing at jazmine who was playing a small game with piper and lavi. The panther faunus was smiling it seems enjoying herself which made her smile.
As she sat their staring at them someone tapped her on the shoulder as she looked up to see yang.
"So kitty hows that speech coming along or are you too distracted?"yang asked
Verona was close by rolling her eyes"kid i swear if you start making dirty jokes i'll wash your mouth out"she warned
"Yes if you start cursing around my little girl you'll regret it"bastet added
"Oh don't worry i'm just messing with kitty for a bit"yang replied making blake blush but she kept staring at her little sister for a moment. It was nice having her back but she still worries about her. Though she can't always be their for her everytime.
"Yeah though i guess i'm just distracted about a few times. Mainly being my sister"blake replied since jazmine was far enough away she couldn't hear them.
"Hey its what sibling do like i told you before, you can't always be their for her everytime. "Yang stated leaning against her as blake returned the gesture.
"Your not wrong, but i just hope she'll be alright when she older"blake replied as they watched as lavi and piper run around playing tag with each other. Jazmine was too as the uras tried to atg her but she dodged her as she smiled. This kept going on until she eventually got tagged chasing the two who ran away giggling. As they sat their for a bit blake eyed yang deciding to ask her something.
"So i was recently told that someone had a letter you were suppose to give me"blake reminded making yang look at her weird.
"Uhh what are you talking about?"yang replied
Verona stared at her"the letter that ex of hers gave you, what you the jealous type kid"she asked as they stared at the blonde for a moment before a relaization came over her. She total forgot about that dumb bull faunus letter, she smacked her face.
"I totally forgot about the stupid letter!"yang shouted in annoyance to some surprise as she quickly stood up rushing upstairs real quick. As she did jazmine walked over as lavi and piper were now being watched over by bastet.
"What the heck is your girl talking about sis?"jazmine aksed
Verona sipped some tea"oh your girlfriend ex lover adam tarrus left her a letter that he sent for her"she replied to jazmine annoyance rolling her eyes gagging slightly.
"Ughh don't remind those two traded spit alot when they used to date"jazmiens aid to her sister embarrassed as she clawed at her to stop.
"Ah! Shut up don't talk about that time!"blake said embarrassed as jazmine giggled at her. It was funny but nice their getting along again until eventually yang came back. She had a red letter in hand with rose with thorns symbol on it.
"Here we are one letter from your ex lover"yang replied handing blake the eveloped as she hesitated to open it but tore it open with one porshtetic claw. She started to read it aloud to herself.
"Dear blake, i hope this letter reaches you and your alive. The reason i'm sending you this is because you were right. What the white fang was doing was wrong, it took me taking your limb to finally listen. I felt disgusted for even doing that to my own kind. After the fall i left the fang thinking about what i've done. That our goals weren't helping faunus but ruining our people heritage and identity. I hope next time we meet we can fix our relationship not as lover, but as friends. I'm sorry for everything from the bottom of my adam tarrus"blake read aloud with some tears presented reading this. As close to the doorway was ghira and sienna listening to it.
The cat faunus stood their for a moment before wiping the tear away before hugging yang.
"Thank you for bringing this…i may not love him anymore. But i'm happy to hear hes finally listening to reason"blake replied as yang smiled slightly
"No problem though you better not go crying to that ex of yours"she teased but ghira soon cleared his throat to get their attention.
"Dear the speech will be in the hour, are you ready?"ghira asked as blake thought for a moment and nodded.
"I will let keep praticing then we can relax before havan"blake replied as they all mentally prepared themselves for whats to come.
Soon it was time for the speech as news spread like wildfire as they all gathered at the front of the belladonna household. While infront of the wooden podium was blake with yang on her right and ghira as well. On her left was zane with onxyia,velvet and nadia. Zoey and saber were their too along with their guards. Calida, kali, sienna and summer where in the background along with jae. The other were spread around the crowd making sure nothing happened being on their guard.
Blake raised her hand and to her shock they listened to here going completely silent. She took a breath to speak.
"Today your all wondering why we brought you here today, were here to address a certain issue. That being one of the thirteen knights of grimm that helped start a great tragedy known as the fall. You all think hes here to start another fall which i do not judge you for. But today we give news that around four of them have been dealt with"blake started making the crowd murmur a little. Yumi had a holo display up as she waited for her signal.
"But today he heres to provide evidence that he had no control of his actions. Along with information on the other knights of grimm that will help deal with them. You may think he doesn't regret his actions for evening help start it but he does. Him and several others came to stop something like the fall from happening. If you won't believe me i'll show you"blake said gesturing to jae to grab her hand as she did. Her aura shimmer a little shrouding her and blake.
"I want to ask you one question how did you lose your arm?"jae simply asked as she activated her semblance.
"I lost my right arm to a grimm during the fall of beacon"blake answered but it turned bright red telling them she was lying which got their attention.
"Tell the real truth, who took your arm really at beacon academy?"jae askd again as a somber look came over yang. Blake sighed with a disehereatened look.
"Adam tarrus took my arm away, but as of right now i hold no ill grudges aaginst him"balke said and to some surprise jae aura turned bright green telling the truth to them. But the crowd was hesitant.
"How do we know this isn't a trick?!"a vocal faunus questioned as some looked for a moment, jazmien decided to help out as she stepped forward pointing toward someone with a confident look.
"Then we can have someone come up from the crowd and ask them a question. What about you?"jazmine asked pointing toward james who was caught offguard but glady took the stage.
"Alright ask away your question then?"jame asked taking jae hand, then the panther faunus whipsed something making jae grin.
"Okay…do you fancy mari from walker wayward orphanage"jae asked making him go wide eyed. As close by was mari on stage with piper as the two eyed each other.
"Um..i..uh no i totally don't have the hots for her"jame said but to his dismay it turned bright red, as he turned that shade as well. Mari blushed as some faunus snickered a little at that. He left the stage embarrassed.
Blake snickers taking the podium"their you have it where not lying or deicivng you. But if you think he doesn't feel guilt let him speak. And proof he had no control of his actions"blake said gesturing for the nervous zane to take the stand. Once he did some faunus threw some bottles and bricks at him with some harsh words. Some tried to push past the guards which gave someone a chance.
Because in the crowd was akasha leaning close by as someone grabbed her from behind placing a gunbarrel to her back.
"Make a sound or call out to someone we'll shoot you dead"yohi said in her ear as the falcon faunus brugnely relented as they slowly moved through the crowd. Along with some other soldier and sangie who grinned evily.
The faunus kept throwing words of hatred toward him until someone had enough confronting them, that being the still flustered mari.
"OH WOULD YOU ALL SHUT UP!"mari said making the crowd calm down as she eyed them down.
"You all want him dead but yet not my niece? Why is that extctly because she is just a child. She easier to deal with if she attack someone. "Mari continued making the crowd look away at hearing that as she gesuted for him to take the podium again.
"Show him the same kindness you've shown her, please listen to reason"mari finished as she nodded for him to do it. Zane took a deep breath composing himself as he took jae hand and yumi flipped on the holo display. The crowd looked in shocked seeing those files and dossier of grimm knight. Sangie went wide eyed wondering how they even got this intel.
Zane found his composure as jae asked her question"do you feel guilt for starting the fall of beacon?"she asked softly.
"I…i do…i helped cause the fall with two others. But their isn't a day that goes by that i feel disgusted for even helping start a tragedy. Your all afriad of me because i helped take a friend, family member or lover from you. I feel terrible but i also came here to make sure another fall never happened the same applies for havan. The files you see on screen are files on half of the grimm knights some of which are already gone. But..some of them never asked for this…innocnet people taken from their homes to be experimented on. "Zane begun as the crowd mumurerd seeing the aura shine bright green. In the crowd was roland with a somber look on his face listening to his words it seems.
Blake stood next to him"next we'll show you something that proves his innocent. Video evidence of him being under mental suggestion by the creator of the grimm knight arthur watts"blake continued as yumi nodded playing the video on screen. The crowd watched in horror seeing a child thrown into the room with a grimm. Sangie gritted her teeth hearing all this looking at her soldier around in the crowd.
Then she eyed may on a nearby roof hiding along with several others in the crowd.
"Alright that it we gotta ruin the party, commence the plan"sangie ordered as her soldier started to move through the crowd. They quickly reached certain parts of the area as they pulled out weapon parts from their jackets. While a few shimmer could be seen in the crowd but on may point of view she saw a few. Then switched to vision showing electronic pulse to her shock. She pressed her finger to her ear.
"We got a problem i've spotted a few people in the crowd approaching the stage fast"may radioed as zoey was on stage nodding. The video was about to show the command phrase as she walked over.
"We got people approaching the stage fast be on your guar–"before zoey finished several gunshot went off in the crowd to their shock. The crowd started to slowly scramble as everyone began to run away screaming but someone shouted firing her pistol in the air stopping them.
"Nobody move or this girl will die where she stand!"sangie said gesturing to yohi as he his armblade over akasha throat. Ilia went wide eyed seeing her as she growled about to lunge forward but sun held her back.
"No she has aka…she..she going to die..i can't lose her"ilia said with tears kicking to break free.
"Bad move if we attack they'll kill her we gotta play it smart"sun replied as she gritted her teeth in anger. The crowd made way for them as about five people where with her. As three more emerged with large caliber automatic weapons out of thin air. Asani stood next to them nervously shaking right now.
Ghira narrowed his gaze stepping forward behind the podium as his guards formed a protective shield for him and the civlains. Everyone had their weapons out looking at the eight. Summer was their too next to ghira glaring at the women.
"Pretty bold of you to come out in the open, I thought you mercenaries were skilled assassins. Your outnumbered so i suggest you give up"Summer said pointing her sword at her but sangie just laughed at that grinning.
"No..no I don't because for starters you're going to give up our property. Hand over that uras girl and subject omega. Now!''sangie damdned as some of them eyed her because she had to be crazy.
Calida knelt down slightly"we outnumber them we should try to have someone sneak around and ambush them"she whispered
"Thats not a bad idea, buts their too many civlians here they'll use them as shields"kali replied quietly.
"What do we do then? They have aka their going to kill her"onxyia whispered with worrie as zane looked at her for a moment deciding something as the women spoke. The guard kept approaching her as he rsoilder pointed their weapons at them. Then sangie grinned as she pulled something out holding it in the air, a denator.
"Back up! If you get any closer i'll press the button on this denator."sangie ordered making them go wide eyed as the guards started to back up with some of the others mixed in. ghira glared at the women knowing what she was doing.
"I assume you planted explosives close by, and if we don't listen to your demands you denote them"ghira replied as she simply nodded as yohi laughed like a madman.
"Yep, hand over the asset and we'll leave you alone"yohi demanded as the crowd seemed fine with it. But the video still kept going until a certain command phrase was spoken.
"Subject omega would you kindly terminate whos infront of you"watts voice said making piper gasp slihglty as he flinched hearing his voice. The crowd tried to run away but where scared if the soldier might kill them. But to their, the other and sangie especially he didn't move at all.
This gave sangie an idea"hey brat, get over here right now before i blow this place up. If you do no one gotta die"sangie ordered looking toward zane as nadia growled looking at her.
"Your not taking my son away again you monsters, especially that little girl. You'll pay for what you did to them"nadia growled as the women looked at her before going into full blown laughter pointing at her still holding the trigger.
This creeped them out as she pounded her chest sighing smiling"what you see some dumb video of me abusing your dam brat? So what? I got payed a nice ninety thousand lien for keeping an eye on him"sangie begun her little speech with an eerie grin as some of the crowd listen to the women. While nadia clenched her fist in rage hearing her even do this.
"Your mad that i would lets see…beat him senseless for refusing to listen to order? Dam brat bite me alot though but I either just shock him or beat him. Broke a few bones too but conri also helped too sometimes. Though one person always kept looking out for him, that dam sabertooth faunus or his designation zeta"sangie continued as sombra was in the crowd clenching her fist hearing her say this. While Lisa was close, she softened her gaze in anger hearing her talk about her husband.
"Don't talk about my husband you damn wench!"lisa cried out as the crowd looked at her as Sangie just grinned at her. Because she recalled zeta host always talking about his family.
"Oh..oh so your his family? Man this is priceless i recalled your dam husband always trying to protect that dam brat along with theta. "Sangie continued making verona hold her sniper close since they left Luna, Lavi and some others at the house for safekeeping. Along with some guards and a couple huntsmen. The bat faunus slowly took aim at her glaring at her.
"You don't get to talk about meli you bitch"she muttered pressing slightly on the trigger.
Sangie just grinned looking at them like a crazy women"but that doesn't matter those two are dead i say good riddences. But.."sangie said as she pulled out a small device as she placed it over her mouth to their confusion.
Then soon enough she spoke in someone else voice"subject omega would you kindly, return"she ordered in watts voice making some go wide eyed. Zane flinched covering his neck but as they stood their for a bit nothing happen. This annoyed sangie.
The women then started to issue several different command phrases, she kept saying them but he didn't react. It showed in the video to the crowd as he just stood their. The other were suspirsed by this as she kept whistling, snapping her finger in annoyance.
Sangie screamed taking the mask off"why the hell isn't this working?! You dam brat get over here right now before I kill everyone here"sangie ordered poitning to a spot next to her. Near the podium they were trying to come up with a plan.
"So this wasn;t how we expected the speech to go out"jazmine said bringing out her sickles.
Blake nodded"your not wrong but…when she issued the command phrases you didn't react. "Blake said smiling slightly.
"That means they can't use them…oh i can't wait to see the other faces"yang replied extending her gaunlents. But ghira closed his eyes right now thinking about what to do.
"Okay we need a plan, we might have to–"before he even finished to their surprise zane stood up with his hands up in a surrender position.
"Wait! I'll..i'll go quietly just please don't kill anyone..no one needs to die. "zane said to their shock as onxyia tried to stop him but he hoped down the podium. Nadia just looked scared right now as some of the others were surprised he was doing this. Sangie just smirked motioing for a soldier to retrieve something while they did she spoke.
"So your listening finally? Been a while you dam brat…remeber me?"sangie replied grinning as he glared at her.
"Shut up, i know who you sangie rupal. Talon, captain of their regiment involved with asset containment division."Zane spat getting close to her with his hand up still. But then one of her soldier threw something infront of him that being an SDC collar.
"Now put that on, once your done just be a good kid and sit still."sangie ordered as some of them looked worried. Neo was close to cardin and yumi as she kept eyeing the group. But she eyed asani especially as the girl noticed this. Then to the mute shock she started to communicate with her.
"Can you see this?"her mask displayed as the mute thought for a moment nodding. This made the girl display a winky face emoticon as neo got clued in on something. Neo tapped cardin and yumi to follow her as they quickly did sneaking away from the crowd. But before they did asani masked showed something that made neo smirk.
"I disable the bombs, just wait for the right moment to strike"her masked displayed as the three made their way around. With zane he stared at the collar shaking slightly reaching done to put it on. He kept shaking in fear as some from the crowd noticed this.
Sangie was getting rather impatient"put the dam thing on then after that send the uras girl that gave me my scar"she ordered gesturing to her scar as piper flinched hugging her aunt as she glared at her.
"You're not taking my niece you monster! I'm not having you turn a little girl into a murder"mari cried as the talon captain rolled her eyes in annoyance.
Sangie shrugged her shoulder"eh if i can't have her whatever main target him and someone else. Someone force that dam thing on him"sangie ordered as two soldier walked foward with one grabbing him to his mother anger as she growled trying to lunge forward. But sienna held her back as the tiger had a murderous intent right now toward that specific women.
"I'm going to fucking kill you!"nadia shouted in rage right now trying to break free but sienna and calida held her back.
"Dear don't they'll blow up the bombs if you do"calida warned making her calm down slightly but her son was getting taken away again infront of her. She had tears welling up right now. But when the soldier got the collar on zane he began to slightly freak out tugging at it.
"No..no..i can't wear one again i–"he couldn't finish as sangie pressed another remote shocking him causing him to fall to the ground as electric crackled around him. This made some of the crowd of faunus look worried as some soften their gazes at the sight.
"Shut the hell up or we'll kill everyone you know here. Like did with that partner of yours"sangie spat making alot of people freeze in palace hearing that. Calida eyes sank into her skull hearing that her daughter might be dead. Tears began to slip away from her eyes as her hands glowed red hot. Onxyia just stood their shocked hearing her teammate could be dead before tears came to her eyes.
Cardin listened to that part clenching his fist in anger right now. Along with emerald who just glared at the women knowing who that women is. With zane he stopped being shocked before he shook a little before he broke down crying.
"You bastards! What did you do to my little girl!?"calida cried in rage as her hands glowed red hot. The captain just grinned at her relaizing she was the brat mother.
"Oh you're that chick mother, nothing much, just that had some fun with her. Getting payback for her taking her husband stinger heard she was seen with let's see…an orange hair girl, some guy in green, a blonde knight, some guy with metal legs.."she continued before exclsuivly looking at summer.
"Along with some little girl that looks awfully like you. Along with the infamous qrow branwhen following them. "Sangie said grinning as summer clenched her sword in hand in anger hearing her say this. Blake and yang just worried if ruby was gone like their friend. Calida just seethed in rage crying her eyes out.
Though as they sat their from the side a blur gave toward sangie jabbing at her with her hidden blade. Neo, cardin and yumi emerged from their spot attacking their small group which caught them offguard. Cardin launched a soldier into the crowd as they glared at him grabbing him. While yumi dropkicked a soldier into a nearby wall as he slumped down. Sangie glared as she pressed down on the trigger to everyone shock.
The crowd screamed expecting to be blast to dust but as they all waited nothing happened to sangie confusion.
"What the hell is up with this?!"sangie said pressing it several times as nothing happen. Soon she looked up at all the people staring at them as she whistled ordering her soldier to make a quick gettaway. They were scrambling to escape as they used their cloaking tech to disappear, but yohi decided to deal with their hostage.
Before akasha knew it she felt some pierce her spine as a gunshot went off. The falcon faunus fell down face first gasping for air. Yohi shot her as ilia cried in rage lunging at him but he quickly disappeared. They all quickly did as sangie decided to keep shocking zane but not before leaving a message.
"You either bring that freak to the middle of town by midnight or we'll burn your island down"Sangie said as neo lunged at her but she disappeared without a trace. All of them stayed silent for a bit before a few rushed over to akasha.
Ilia had tears picking her up but to her joy the girl was still alive"oh aka your still alive…i'm so happy"she cried as akasha tried to stand but something strange happened. She coudln't feel her legs.
"I…i..i can't feel my legs…i can't feel my legs"akasha cried in pain as some faunus guards rushed over to take her to the clinic with katherine in tow. While zane kept getting shocked crying in pain as nadia rushed over trying to help him but stopped getting shocked.
"Dammit…someone…someone please get this off him"nadia cried as the collar stopped shocking him but he kept tugging at it crying it eyes out.
"Take it off…get it off…please"zane cried several times as some faunus just stared in shock until someone stepped forward. They placed a small device on the collar undoing it lock tearing it off then they threw it to the ground as someone else stomped onto it in several pieces. Roland kept stomping on it as lisa held a device in hand.
As they all gathered as the crowd still remain the crocodile faunus looked toward the crowd"i'm sure all of us are quiet shocked at what happened. But…from what i just saw those monsters don't care what they do. They might be here for these grimm hybrids but i'm sure they'll just attack out island"Roland begun as lisa steped forward.
"Yes, and these collars don't bring anyone pleasant memories at all. Several of you have worn them and…I would rather not see two innocent people turned into murders. From what we all saw those videos do prove this child innocents"lisa said as she offered a hand to him helping him up.
"And it seems we have a traditor against these knights of grimm, he was willing to hand himself over to save out island. Now we can listen to their demands or we can kick them off our island"lisa finished as the crowd waited for a moment as some of them gave positive remarks to their claims. As they cheered at that as soon enough all of them disappeared. Kali and declan stepped forward looking at the two smiling.
"It seems you finally came to your sense old friend, your daughter would be proud"kali said
"Along with you LT he may be gone but you still got your heart of gold"declan added as the two just simply bowed.
"We do but now we need to discuss how to get rid of these villains on our island."lisa reminded as they all nodded in agreement deciding to return to the house. But some were very worried and hurt right now hearing that their friends could be dead along with family. They needed to stop sangie and her forces now.
We got a bit of backstory on what happened to roland and his daughter that he lost. Along with that we had the speech which seemed to be a success. While also having blake read the letter adam gave to yang. Though the island needs to be rid of this threat now. Thanks for reading!
