Chapter 102:Crashing
It was late at night in the academy right now as perun and ame were discussing what they did with pyke and the branwhen member. How they integrated them and they got some intel on one of those dead kngihts and a name. As bomaby recovered from passing out early as they were relaxing in dorms right now more specifically team BBNT which was like the rest of them. Except for naca bunk being a hammock instead of a trdtional bed she liked those better.
"So your telling us that their little story was a lie….huh thats weird why would they lie?"tyra asked since they told them both version of their epxlations.
"Well from how it sounded it seems like they wanted to hide something. But any luck on finding any names matching the one you got?"bombay asked as ame was on her scroll shfiing through several news articles at that moment. Her arm was plugged into it as she had a software to quickly scan the internet for anything useful.
"No not yet i…gottcha"she said before pulling a wire out from her computer plugged into her scroll then faced it toward the group. They looked to see a new article of the brnawhen tribe saying how they went from bandits to protector and front on the cover was melissa with her spear and both of her arms.
"Hey that chick right their you think she is melissa?"perun asked as ame nodded
"Says here they helped save a town from a grimm attack nine years ago one of their twin leader raven branwhen. They assisted the town in a bandit and grimm atack as they questioned why they even saved a town. That women stepped forward saying her name and said that their here to make a difference for their like she might have been very imporotnat figurehead in their tribe. Though nothing on how she died since that tribe does keep to themselves most of the time"ame said closing her computer crossing her legs
"So we actually have a new lead how all these grimm guys went missing years ago. Thats actually a good lead right now. But still…should we tell lionheart about this or is that a no still?"thsiite asked as they all silently looked at each other
"Nope because for starters i'm getting an itchy feeling hes been acting like a turncoat. Because seriously his wife hasn't even visited for their daily lunches together"tyra said as they stared at her for a bit
"How do you know that? Why do you even know that?"zephyra questioned
Tyra took a sip of her drink"hey the spot i usually hang out on the room is near his office. I can't exactly see inside their but i get a good view of the door. I usually hang their when around lunch time and for the past five months its been weird"she started trying to recall something
"I haven't seen her even show up once sometimes she busy at the house i guess. But they always made time for each other and thats just weird. Do you think…that maybe his wife was kidnapped by the guys who started the fall?"she asked as their group thought for a moment as perun cupped his chin going wide eyed
"That might be true…because eria mentioned this to me one time. How team BRAS those guys that helped start it were from havan. But….i don't remember anyone matching their description"perun said as they all figured out something
Thsiite paced around for a bit"they must have had fake transcripts….the only ones who could do that are criminals. But with him on the coucnil he might have had access to change school records saying their new transfer students. "She decided
'That would make sense….because uh i decided to look up the last name thanatos and look here."ame stated as they glanced at her scroll in shokc to see a headline saying mari thantos dead. But it looked extaclty like bonnie in the picture.
"Whoa! That bonnie….is says here she died twnety years ago. How the heck is that even possible is she a zombie?"perun aksed confused
"I don't know! Because that women name is different but she has her face…i'm so confused right now"zephyra said freaking out thought bombay sat crossed legged as the gear began to turn in her head for a bit thinking of something.
"Yo you think they could bring back dead people if their bodies are freash. News said they couldn't find your girlfriend leader bodie you think uhhhhh…..you know what i'm not even going to suggest that."bombay started but stop as perun stared at her for a moment cringing at the thought of his girlfriend having to fight her old leader who died and possible now an undead corpse.
"Didn't need to think about that but lets head to last two days we've seen some crazy stuff."perun said as their team left BBNT as tyra stayed behind. But as they walked down the hall for a bit zephyra shuffled her feet around sighing deciding to ask something
"Hey uh you two got a minute i wanna talk"zephyra said making the two turn toward her
'Yeah whats up is something on your mind you can tell us anything?"ame replied as the heiress stared at her two teammates on how will phrase this right now. Because she hopes it doens't backfire
"I um…look tomorrow i have anothe rthepray session but i feel like someone been following me. Even with those soldiers i don't feel safe and um…i'd like to grab a bite to eat after the sessions is over. Also…i hoped that my teammates would join me in the office to make me feel safe"zephyra said looking down avoiding their gaze as they stood their for a bit.
Perun thought about it for a little bit sighing because he made a promise to tanner. That he be their for their remaining teammates no matter the situation and help them if they are having troubles
"Sure what time is it at tomorrow?"perun aksed as she smiled a little
"I'll need to head to her place to schedule it. She asked for me to meet her later tonight anway so i can schedule tomorrow. I'll be calling those two soilder to accompany me you two head back i'll call you later when i'm done"she said as the two nodded returning to their dorm as quickly zephyra grabbed her scroll texting bediou to meet her somewhere.
Standing at the academy exit she was waiting for her until eventually the women arrived walking over right now in her usually attire as she yawned looking at her.
"Kiddio whats with you calling me this late at night? I was trying to talk to paddy about something right now that was very important."bediou replied as the heiress shuffled around on a bench
"Well i need to go somewhere and well…i don't want to be without an escort. I don't know why i feel like someone been following me around alot lately"zephyra replied as the women stared at her sighing.
"Okay come on lets get this done but you owe me because paddy told me hes got great news to tell me right now. And i wanna hear it"bediou replied as the heiress smiled leading her through the city following the directions on diamona slip of paper she gave her. Until eventually they arrived in the middle class area of the capital mainly being like the area bombay lived in.
Though they arrived at a simply little home that had two stroies to it along with it being styled like the rest of the building in atlas right now. Though besides that it was a icy blue colored home along with a mailbox saying the "monger residents". As zephyra stepped up knocking on the door a few times waiting for someone to answer as she got it.
That being a little girl who seemed around nine year old as her skin was pale like she lived in the ice. As she had black eyes like coal along with long white hair that reached her back as atop her head was a pair of polar bear ears. While she wore a pair of icy blue pants with a grey shirt.
She titled her head them"are you friends of momma?she cutely asked as zephyra slightly cooed at the girl seeing her.
"Ummm hi sweetie i um its not smart to open the door without your parents present. Are they home?"zephyra neoruvlsy asked as the little girl stared at bediou as she pointed at her
"You look like a pirate….are you a pirate?"she innocently asked as the women laughed slightly.
"My nickname was pirate queen back where i come from. Though where are your parents dear?"she softly asked until someone came walking forward that being dimaona who scooped up the girl in her arms.
"Lumia your suppose to be with your baby brother colden. What have i told you about opening the door without one of us close by. I was in the middle of cleaning the dishes while you two watched a little movie"daimona asked as her daughter hugged her with her little arms
"Sorry momma i wanted to see who was here. Theirs a pirate"lumia innceolty said pointing at bediou who chuckled at that.
"Well i might be a swashbuckling one though give me your gold and no one get hurt"bediou joked with her as the three laughed at that.
"Funny but come on inside for a moment. We can talk for whatever bring you here tonight which i know why probably"diamona said closing the door as they entered her home. Their was a set of stais right near the door that lead to the second floor. As on their left was the living room as they stepped inside
Their was a simple couch their facign an entertainment center with a coffee table infront of it. As some desk and draws were on one side of the room that had some picture frames on it. One of them showed diamona and lennie in wedding attire as the groom was in her arms as the two kissed. While another was one showing a baby polar bear faunus in the women arms with some of the polar bears teammates with her
Their was also a large shelve that had several nickknakcs and items from over the years it seems. A pair of icy blue boxing glove where their along with a book on the mind with several other books that were on psychology and therapy. But some of them were picture frames of the women with three others in her youngers years. But on the floor right now sat someone
That being a young faunus who was maybe seven years old as he had brown hair with some streaks of white throughout it. Though he was in a onesie right now that was white. But some reason he didn't have any traits on him at all as he turned to them.
The little boy blinked at them before quickly running away hiding behind his mother who stared at the two as she sighed putting lumia down who rushed over to play with some neabry toys. Then she gently pushed him forward
"Colden sweetie its okay their not mean people. Their friends from your momma work say hi"diamona said gesturing for him to say but he turned away as bediou chuckled
"Shy kid let me guess he bites if you touch his head"bediou sat sitting down as did the other two as diamona chuckled
"No just runs away though let me guess someone you know has a kid who bites people since their veryshy"diamona said as the women rubbed her neck sighing heavily at that little girl.
"She…a little shy yeah but shes the captains girl. He uh adopted her a year ago after they went on a mision a while back. Though bad thing is uh the guy got burned pretty bad on the right side of his body. Almost died that day if it wasn't for one of our guys pulling him out not giving up getting him medical aid."she said as diamona poured some tea for them as she picked a glass up taking a sip.
Daimona sighed" let me guess you found a little girl who went through trauma i'm assuming. Her parents gone and you were stopping slaver. Surprised you told me how your special ops soldier from atlas. But it makes sense why you were sent here."she replied
Bediou sighed messing with her eyepatch"yep that pyke guy we question got a ride back their seems he knows sarah sister in law kid. And is her husband…poor shu…but uh that little girl i mentioned"she paused taking another sip sighing.
"A guy i used to know actually saved her…hated him at first but he was a swell kid since he was the youngest to join our unit. "She continued
"Really because you need to be through huntsman training to be part of the atlas military if i recall"diamona asked as the eyepatched women chuckled at that.
"Nah…kid was an exception bout twenty i think. Though youngblood did a good deed that day earning most of our unit respect for saving the captain. "She said pausing for a moment as zephyra ears were ringing a little at that
"Oh your talking about that simon fellow…if i recall that what his name was when you all escorted me on a ship with my father. Until that thief swan tried to rob it with the white fang….darn theif stole a ring my grandmother gifted me"she grumbled
But both bediou and diamona avoided her gaze hiding two different things comply right now on those people. Which none of them knew the answer to except for them.
"Heh funny let me guess this guy will be trading you in for your next shift or until your called back"Diamona said taking a sip of her tea
"The guys dead….he died back in the fall of beacon and was the select few of us deployed their during the fall. He didn't make it"bediou sadly corrected as diamona soften her gaze as zephyra was a little surprised to hear that upset to hear that women lost someone. As she had an interesting encounter with that fellow on the airship long ago.
Without a word dimaona picked up lumia who was about to fall asleep as the polar bear gently place the little girl in the womens arms. As bediou looked confused
"Lady i don't wanna hold your kid i…"she was stopped as diamona used her semblance as the women felt very relaxed at that moment like all her worries melted away at that moment as she exhaled feeling slightly cold but warm.
"Dear i'm a therapist and i know it hurts when you lose someone you knew for years. I'm sure whoever this simon fellow is was a good man. I'm just spit balling let me guess he was the one who saved that little girl"She asked as the soldier nodded as lumia was fast asleep in her arms
"Yeah…guy did seriously he was so annoying. Though i know a few of our guys in the unit are pissed off at a couple of us. Left a man behind that day…harp been terrible about it i heard since i got stationed here. Few of us are back in argus by now at some point i'm sure. But um….it still hurts to think that someone that we felt like we raised die"she said sniffing rubbing her one eye for a moment
diamona sighed"its how things are in life sometimes people in the military take the cadet under their wings. Treat them like their own kid like their training them through life and eventually watch them become someone great."She said pausing walking over to her shelf grabbing a frame sitting next to the two as zephyra was on her right as bediou leaned over a little.
It showed a picture of a younger dimaona with someone that being a younger nadia walker in a patient gown holding two people in her arms that being a younger zoey and a younger zane in her arms. As the polar bear was smiling right now along with sienna their holding a younger aruna in her arms as amber sat their leaning against the tiger right now very close.
"Who are they…they look like those teammates you mentioned when i saw a phot of your time at beacon?"Zephyra curisouly asked as the women smiled as colden was being held by his father lennie right now fast asleep getting ready to put him to bed.
"Oh you looking at one of those dumb pictures of your partner girlfirned or whatever."lennie teased as he had a hand on colden head as diamona rolled her eyes.
"I'm sory that walker and my partner sucked faced twenty for seven. I mean seriously one time i found those two uhhhh well…hmmm lets just say getting very close one night playing with each other….in their birthday suits"diamona said as zephyra sat their before blushing at the thought as bediou stared at her
"Don't think dirty thoughts kid i can read minds"bediou said as zpehyra went flush covering her face
"I..um…i'm not….shut up…i..um….god this is embarrassing"She whined as they laughed because she couldn't read mind but wanted to mess with her. The polar sighed caressing the photo in her hands at the moment staring at the faces in it right now.
"No…no that women with the prosthetic arm gave up alot over the years. She found her kids and a friend named ray son their. But uh…she lost her arm while she saved her son from a grimm who almost took him. Sad thing is she…found his mom just barely a feet away with a bullet hole in her head."she started her sad story
"Then that girl started to raise her and that fox girl their like her very own. It was hard until she finally got that arm of her, she was so happy to hold both her kids in her arms."she continued but then an upset look came to her face
Zephyra noticed it"Did…did something happen to her did she die?"she asked as it was the opposite
"No…eight years ago in a fire…she uh god i…she left her son home alone that day. The only reason she did it was because it was his birthday that day and they had a small issue at ray place and they coudln't take him their. They were only gone for two hours then…"she paused swallowing for a moment because she can't use her semblance on herself because it won't work on her as she was still emotionally for her friend loss right now worried
"But she lost him that day…eight years ago he died…but i heard from her in some mail that she found him. I was so happy for her…but…god…she find him after so long and then…she loses him again. That poor women….she must be devastated right now"diamona cired a little as lennie return placing colden in bed as he leaned down hugging his tall wife who leaned into it
"Dear i know your hurt about walker losing her kid again. But she'll be fine….look if you want me and you could maybe visit with the kids at some point. She always loved small adorable things and it'll cheer her up"lennie softly said as the women nodded smiling at that
"I'd like that dear….but uh…why do you keep staring at the photo miss?"diamna asked bediou as lumia was being taken by her father. As the atlas women sighed fighting the tears for a moment standing up whipping her eyes covering them.
"Its uh…nothing i need some air real quick hurry up kid. I gotta get back to paddy to debrief him"bediou said leaving but diamona eyes changed to blue which confused her a little why she was sad. Maybe for that story she told as she looked at zephyra for a moment.
"Dear why are you here let me guess your teammates are…"She didn't finish as she spoke
"I convinced them to come to tomorrow therapy session what time will it be at?"zephya replied quickly as the women thought for a bit sighing rubbing her eyes
"Come by 5 o'clock tomorrow when were 'll be easier if you all get in a spat or whatever from you tricking them. But don't worry this type of thing is good for people suffering the same guilt"diamona said as the girl nodded bidding her goodbye as her and bediou headed back as she dropped her off at the dorms. But watching them was julia with gole as the two looked at each other as they decided tomorrow they'll enact their plan
But with bediou she walked and took a cab to some simply apartment complex that she and any other soldiers in the spartans that come here could use. Once she got back to her room she sighed walking in taking her shoes off along with her jacket as paddy was waiting for her with a drink already poured
"Let me guess lass that girl wanted to go shopping or whatever"he asked
Bediou took the drink downing it in one swig"nope….try her visiting a therapist shes been seeing which i might need right now. Because god dammit….i…god i just saw a picture of that kids mom. God"she said sitting down covering her face rubbing her eyepatch for a moment as he took a seat by her at that moment.
"Seriously…i was fighting to cry and her dumb semblnace almost made me slip up. I…i told her the fake name we had how simon or the youngblood died during the full. God…i heard from her that she apernelty left a little kid home alone because of their birthday."She said hugging herself for a moment staring at the ground as her scared eye underneath her eyepatch had some tears slowly slip out.
Paddy just listened as she continued"a poor women is dealing with losing her kid again…and…god dammit….why didn't amim and bree find that stupid kid before he got himself killed. Then a poor women could have gotten to vist her son who might have been in jail again…for the rest of his life"she cired finishing it as he patted her back to get it out but after some time he stood up fixing her up another drink
Popping the cork he poured the liquid as he sighed smiling a little"Aye las you wanna know what that dumb captain our let slip to me and a few others back in atlas. Mainly his husband, me, harp, rico, bon…and about eight others"he asked as she stared at him with a hurt look
"What…don't tell me let me guess we found another one of our unit dead in vale."she replied but it was the oopoiste as he placed his glass down.
"That apparently the doc and those two ace ops sent with her found something more than the doctor being their"he said walking over with a drink in hand giving her it as she stared at him confused for a moment.
"What are you talking about?"she asked as he gently smiled at her raising a glass
"The youngbood actually survived that hellhole and guess whos been rid of those blasted mental suggestions. And is on his way to see his wee family right now."paddy said as the women stared at him him complete shock for a minute before tears came own her face taking the glass as they clinked it together as the womenw as happy to hear that type of news which was the best right now.
Although soon enough the hours ticked away as it was the next day now as zephyra was with her guards right now. Along with her teammates as they were walking to the thepriast office as they were very close to the place. Until eventually they got their as ame hummed.
"So this is that thepriast office you've been visiting as of late. It looks nice"ame said
"It is shes bee very kind on helping me talk about thing. I'm…sorry for making you two come here with me"she softly apolgize as perun shook his head
"Your good….well be here for you now lets get this over with. Texted the others to meet up here in an hour so we could grab a bite to eat"perun said as she smield at that hiding her intentions. They soon stepped inside as already waiting for them was diamona who smiled a little
"Their you all are…follow me please"diamona said as ame and perun were about to sit down but they were stopped
"No you two…because i need you for an important exercise"diamona said to their confusion but they didn't argue. Following her to the back where her office was they all found some chairs to get comfy as diamona had her glasses on as she grabbed her notepad at the ready clicking her pen a few times.
It was an eerie silence for a moment as zephyra sat their tapping her knees repealty. As ame messed with her porthsetic arm as perun leaned against a wall with crossed arms. He was very confused what this exercise was because usually they only do that for group therapy or to help someone.
"Okay so ummm why do you need me and ame here exactly? Because zep i know your worried about someone following you but i…"he was stopped
"Actually no this little session today is something that i suggested. Mainly being because this is a group therapy session. For all of you…all of your team right now"Diamoan softly corrected as ame went wide eyed hearing that as perun stood their complete shock as he glanced at zephyra who turned away from him
Perun shot her a glare right now"did you seriusly trick us into coming into some stupid therapy session. Because seriously hines i'm fine because nothing has been bothering me at all lately. "He said walking toward the door
"I'm out of here tell me when your done"he said opening the door but both bediou and paddy where their before they pushed inside as paddy blocked the door as bediou crossed her arms standing off to the side. Perun was forced to sit down at that moment as diamona exhaled to begin her questioning of the group right now.
"So i'll be asking you about three simple little questions. And i want each of you three to go around in a circle and answer them. Be honest with yourselves this is a safe place we won't tell anyone what is said and heard here"diamona softly said as perun kept glaring at zephyra who stared at the ground as ame messed with her sleeves for a bit.
"Qeustion one everysince the events of the fall how have you all been lately.? That can be linked mainly to how you've been sleeping, eating and if your handling everything from it alright"she ssoflty asked as it took a bit of time as ame relented sighing seeing that their is no escape from this.
"I um…well…everysince the fall happened it is a little trouble surviving something like. Honestly i um…well…at one point i'm sure zephyra never mentioned this but me and perun were fighting off one of those grimm knight seens during the fall of vale"she started shaking remembering the women who attacked them almost killing them and trying to tear them apart. She thought was going to die that day.
"I….i thought i going to die that day….that thing had me by my throat choking the life out of me. I…um…can't even imagine her being the old combat isnturctor wife since i noticed the resemblance in an old photo album seen on campus. But that day i thought i was going to die…but i've been alright"She finished but diamona and the soldier interest was peeked
"Las what do you mean by you recgonized her? That thing wasn't human anymore"paddy asked
Zephyra rubbed her wirst sighing"well uh we actually noticed it when we compared the pictures with a picture frame in a glass case. Apparently that women was dead years ago but came back from the grave. Lets continue the question okay"she said clearing her throat
Because she decided to reveal something"i um…i'm still kinda messed up from the fall of beacon. I know i'm suppose to be a perfect girl since i'm the company only heir but i um its too much at times. Because i…i've been hardley sleeping lately because i…"she paused looking down at the ground
"I miss that dumb loudmouth going around the dorms doing his stupid antics'she admitted as it was perun turn as he stared at the ground clenching his fist in rage right now. That their doing this right now and he wasn't in the mood for any of this as he stood up to leave.
"I'm not doing this because i'm fine. Right now the best news i've gotten all week is that my girlfriend is safe and sound. Because i'm tired and i'm going back to dorms to pratice my axe. Bye"he said trying to leave but zephyra grabbed him by the arm
"Please…i…look…i know i used to be really rude but i've noitced you've acted different latly. I know you miss tanner i do to bu.."she was stopped as he threw her hand off glaring right back at her because now he knows whats going on. She planned this entire time to do some stupid intervention
"You planed this….seriously does the dumb heirness need to get it through her skull that i can handle myself just alright. Because news flash air head i'm the new team leader and guess what. New order drop this and do it again you'll be on my bad side"perun growled back as ame soften her gaze looking done
"Look perun…zeph is right…this might be good for us to talk. I've noticed your hurt about him being–"she was stopped
"Shut up! Don't psycho analysis me right now because for starters i'm completely fine with being our team leader. Not like my girlfriend going through the same thing right now. Because i don't need any of this right now"perun shotued back as diamona decided to use her semblance to calm him down as paddy and bediou kept their peace at that moment.
The rocker felt the relaxed air go around him but he shook his head as his emtoions were very high right now. Because he furious that his teammate would do something like this right now and it just pisses him off. As zephyra tried to calm things down
"Look i….i know your lying to yourself. Because seriously you and him were best friends and bottling this up isn't healthy. I know how bad it might get if you don't talk to anyone about it right now"sephyra said as this made him snap
"What do you know! Because he wasn't someone you knew when you just a little kid! My best friend is gone along with someone who i started a band with! Hes never coming back because he wanted to do one last good deed!"he said before beginning to pound against her chest as she stood their taking it as he had tears forming on his eyes.
"That dumb idiot didn't have to die! Now is own parents are spreading rumors around my girlfriend family causing them to be shunned! I'm sick of everyone asking if i'm fine…because i'm not since my best friend is dead! Dead! Dead! Dead!...and hes never coming back"he continued slowly poudnign his fist loosing feeling his legs hugging himself sobbing now as the dams were breaking now.
"We promised to become…the best musicians in remnant…that…dam psycho…killed my best friend."he said sobbing now as zephyra cracked kneeling down him into an embrace holding him close shaking her head with tears forming.
"I know…i know it hurts god i…i loved that stupid idiot and was too pompous to actually ask him out. I should have done more to help him…i should have"she cried as ame walked over joining her two teammates in a comforting embrace at that moment. The three just thought about the leader they lost long ago wondering if he was here if one of them was gone. What would he do in their shoes as enough the three pulled apart as perun was still crying a little.
diamona knelt down"you kids doing okay over here? Look losing someone isn't every easy but their are ways to cope with it. "She softly suggested as the rocker rubbed his eyes for a moment
"Yeah i….really needed to get that out thanks"he thanked
"No problem what are teammates for"zephyra replied before perun eyed her for a moment smirking at her
"So you finally admit that you had a crush on tanner mckay. The resident loudmouth of our academi"he teased as the girl face felt very warm at that moment as she tried to stop herself from blushing.
"I um…i didn't mean that i um…"She couldn't find the words as he sighed
"You know you guys gotta work on when you talk about stuff like that. The library is the worst place and i'm sure everyone knew back in the academy that you had a crush on him. It was so obvious"peruns sweetly said as zephyra glared at him before balling her fist up pounding them against him
"You jerk! Did you tell that dumb idiot before he passed on that i liked him! Seriously he was one of two crushes i had"zephyra sreeched peeking her teammates interest now
"The hine heiress had another crush and who pray tell would that be?"ame questioned as the heiress looked down sighing at that.
"Not like it'll matter the guy was older than me and uh well is dead. I think i have a picture on my scroll after some soldiers protected me and my dad"zephyra said shifting through her scroll as she revealed it them to show which revealed some atlas spartans their as one of them was wearing a skull mask as perun tried to guess who it was.
"Let me guess us that guy over their"he said pointing to some random soldier
"Oye lad that would be ramierez….also he got someone already i wanna try. Simon"paddy cheekly said making the girl blush at that slightly
"Who simon? You mentioned how he was dead in vale or whatever"diamona asked as shyly zephyra pointed to the person in the skull mask. As both bediou and paddy were internally laughing trying very hard to let a secret slip out because if that hayley girl every come here. They both heard how they were on that kids team they might keep it a surprise.
"That guy in the skull mask huh weird getup for someone in the military. But hey don't worrie zeph you'll find someone i'm sure"perun reasrued as the door suddenly opened to their confusion as julia was standing their which caught them offguard
"Uh who the heck are you and why are you here?"bediou asked reaching for her sidearm
"Julia? Why are you here…are you here for therapy."she asked as the girl simply laughed at her reaching upward pulling down a gasmask reaching behind her back.
"No doll…becuase you've been played right now. Your going to dream land now"she said pulling a pin before tossing a grenade down as gas started to leak from it. As they all began to cough as their eyes stung as immeidlaty some thugs came in before pushing paddy to the ground. As two of them grabbed zephyra by the arms as one injected something in her neck as she cried in pain before going limp in their arms. They all immediately started to run as julia shut the door trapping them.
They all kept coughing for air right now from whatever was in that canister as ame eyed the canister emitting the gas seeing the nearby window. Quickly she aimed her prosthetic hand in its shotgun mode blasting the window open as the gas slowly dispptated. As she quickly placed the grenade outside the window. As all of them began to gain their breath back.
Perun coughed covering his mouth"ughhh my eyes what the hell is this stuff?"he asked
Bediou coughed waving her hand"tear gas mixed with knockout gas…dammit okay we gotta get moving right now. They took her we gotta go after her before we lose her"she said as they spirited out of the office not before diamona grabbed her weapon on display at the ready as they rushed out the office to the front to see lennie on the ground groaning with a bloody head
"Honey!"diamona cried out cradling his body as bediou rushed to his side examining his injury nodding
"Hes fine just got a simple head trauma from the look of it. Okay you all go after them paddy remember we placed a tracking device on her just incase."she said as he nodded
"You placed a tracking device on my teammate?!"perun shouted concerned
"Lad do you wanna argue or save your teammate right now. We gotta get switch up before we lose em"paddy said with haste pulling out his scroll as they began to chase them down in the city of mistral. Along what way ame made a call to three people right now for their help with this problem.
After twenty minutes of following the tracking chip along the way thisite, bombay and tyra joined them in the pursuit. But after following the tracking down zephyra they soon arrived at somewhere that being the mistral airdocks. But for some strange reason no one was guarding the place at all like the entire place was barren of mistral police officers.
"Okay the tracker says they took the girl here. But something is very off right now and i'm not liking it"paddy commented
"You mean how this entire place is devoid of any mistral police officer or huntsman right now. Because their should be people here guarding the place all night"tyra said as they walked past the guard booth before diamona sighed finding something.
"Tell that to the guys over here….seems our goons spikes the nightshifts coffee"she said gesutring to two mistral police officers on the ground as their were coffee stains on one of them. As they walked inside soon enough perun spotted something whistling getting their attention. Quickly they dove behind some boxes for cover as they watched something. That being gole with julia along with a hooded figure as they evasdropped on them.
"You did good kid…..your mom will be happy you completed this little task. Maybe she'll reward you even"gole compleimnted
"Well the good old crocodile tears and my mom abuses me story and my dads dead works. Seller was saying i had a boyfriend in vale saying he died. God she was so gulliabel though i still hate my dad and my apperenlty real mom"she replied giving a disgusted scoffed
Gole chuckled"well then be on your way kiddio. Before that dumb dad of your gets questions maybe i'll stop by sometime. "He said as she dashed off away from them after some time the man groaned loudly covering his face
"God that girl is annoying….i still believe that the boss used to date her ex husband. I mean that guy dumb semblnace is inehrited from his stupid family. But yet he coudlnt' inherit brains?"he asked as the hooded figure chuckled
"Well maybe he couldn't besides i did hold up my end of the bargain. Spiked my fellow guards coffee for tonight to get you in. now you owe me a favor"the figure replied as they listened
"Wait….that guard is working with the knukcldusters?"tyra whispered quietly
"Not surprised they have some of the guards and police under their pockets here. All of them are crooked cops anyway. Though seems they were using that julia girl…still we gotta watch out for her when we nab the girl. Where is she?"diamona asked as they tried to find her until something weird was mentioned that caught some attention as some crimson talon soldiers were coming off the ship.
"Oye whats the hold up out here if you want our help moving the girl we gotta go."the soldier said agitated
Gole laughed"come on i'm busy talking with the boys right now. Seriously i can't believe the boss ex husband semblance is inherited"he replied as the soldier scoffed gesturing to his rifle.
"Then well just have to take them for our next subjects or whatever. The boss wants more of them anyway. You;ve already supply a few of your slaves well alot of them are dead but a few made it through the first part. Soon the bonding process starts"he said
"Okay what do they mean bu subjects…are..are they the ones kidnapping people?"thistie qeustioned
"I don't wanna find out kid we gotta have a game plan so here we–"paddy tried to start but soon enough perun growled rushing forward out of cover as he brought his axe out at the ready.
"God…dammit you idiot come on!"ame shotued as they broke from cover rushing toward the airship. This made about four thugs and three soldier start opening fire upon them as the hodded figure ran away to avoid the gun fight. As gole rushed onboard of the airhsip at that moment as perun rushed forward as a thug swung at him with a bat but he side stepped it.
Then bringing his axe up he brought it done on their bat getting it stuck as he pressed a trigger lighting him and the thug up in electricity. But he wasn't affected as the thug screamed in pain as his hair was fried as he slumped over groaning. Then he dashed toward the airship ramp that was closing
"I am not losing another teammate!"perun shouted as he jumped onto the ramp as close behind him was tyra, diamona and ame. As diamona had her sword out as she slashed at a nearby soldier chipping at their aura as they swung at her with a staff in hand but he stared at her not even reacting as she stared down at him with her menacing presence. Before the man knew it she grabbed him by the head tossing him into some boxes as he slumped over.
Then her with ame and tyra hoped onto the airship ramp as it closed as the engine began to roar. Bombay noticed this as her and a thug got in a powerstruggle for a moment. While thsiite dodged a strike from a thug who tried to stab at her but she lifted up as her whacking him in the knee as he grunted in pain.
Before he could react she reeled back launching the mic end of her weapon into their face knocking them out as they layed on the ground. While paddy rushed forward with a pistol out as he began to fire into one of the soldier as their aura flashed a little. But the soldier soon drew a tactical sword as he lunged at him as he slashed at paddy aura. But the man soon shifted his stance drawing a knife out as the soilder tried to swing at him again
Though in time he sidestepped it before cocking his fist back uppercutting him in the side causing him to stumble. Then he quickly flipped the knife stabbing him in the knee as he roared in pain.
"You dam….die!"the soldier roared trying to shot him but in a swift motion paddy grabbed his arm snapping it as he roared in even more pain falling to the ground. Eventually bombay saw the engines coming to life as the ship started to take off at that moment.
"No! We gotta stop the ship before they–"she was stopped as the thug broke their power struggle as he socked her across the head sending her to the ground. As she felt rather tired from having to run halfway across havan using someone speed semblance which drained her. The thug spat to the side as he exhaled laughing as he had a fire axe in hand.
"Well….you aint stopping anything girl because tonight is the night you die. Say hello to any family you see beyond the grave"the thug said as he brought the axe down on her as she closed her eyes tight for the worse to happen. But as she waited someone soon dashed forward tackling the thug to the ground as they got in a scuffle grunting with each other. Slowly bombay opened her eyes in shock to see someone
That being a cloaked individual male judging by their physique as they wore a full bodysuit colored black with a full mask along with a gravestone and cros on the back of their hood. But the masked figure snapped the thugs arm as he immbolzie him. Then one of the soldier tried to stab at him but he dodged his strike elegantly as he wrapped his arms around his throat beginning to choke him out. As he did soon enough the man went limp as paddy and thisite were done with their partner before seeing the new person here
Paddy raised his pistol"aye lad state who are you….nice and slowly or you'll be messing with the wrong group tonight"he instructed but thisite noticed something on bombay one of her contact was out revealing her silver eyes
"Sage! Your contacts!"she shouted as bombay realzied one of them was out as she began to panic right now trying to find it
"No…no…i need to find it…no…no she can't find me….she can't find me. I can't let the monster find me again…not again"bombay said beginning to hypventalate but the masked figure found the contact before offering her it as she flinched seeing him holding it until he spoke
"Relax silver eyes. I don't mean any harm though lets just say right now i'm no enemy. More like an allie….your family knew my cousin ivory. Didn't you"the man asked as bombay flinched slowly taking the contact in hand staring at him.
"How…how do you know her name? She was some merc my family hired since mine knew hers"bombay asked as the man stood up simply bowing to her placng a hand in his palm staring at her
"She was a family member of mine. Us gravekeeprs are just like you silvereyed warriors. If you are silvereyes you are an allie of mine. Because i'll be here in the coming days for the worst. If you ever need my assistance again please use this to contact me"he said before opening his hand to reveal a gravestone like device as she hesitantly took it. As the man eyed the airship that was far away now as he sighed
"Though it seems were too late to save your friends. Let us hope that they are successful in their mission. May those who are beyond the veil guide you through your hardship"the man said before suddenly from his back he sprouted a pair of vulture like wings before launching off into the skies leaving them. As the three stared at the airship right now hoping they can stop it now
But inside the airship right now it was a pure mess as they were all fighting right now in the cockpit. As perun was slashing his axe all over the place at a soldier. While for diamona she had bliss out as she slashed repeatedly at a thug. Then she reeled her fist back clocking them in the jaw sending them into a metal wall of the ship. As for tyra she was using her sniper shooting at a nearby soilder with the sight flipped to the side right now.
But the soldier dodged her shot as he lunged at her punhcing her in the gut. Then grabbed her by the shirt before tossing her into ame who dodged a strike from a nearby thug but the two collided hitting a wall. While zephyra was put in a cage still knocked out from whatever they injected in her.
Perun lunged at gole growling"your not taking my teammate i'm not losing anyone else. Land this bird now!"he demanded as the thug laughed at him
"No chance kid…because you've sealed your deathwish. Were out of the patrol sights now and now were on our way to sell her off. Maybe you can join her"he said as perun growled slashing at him as he dodged it but he hit the control panel as sparks flew. Suddenly an explsovie rang out launching him into a metal pipe as he blacked out from the impact.
Then after what felt like forever perun gasped opening his eyes rubbing his head for a moment as it was throbbing
"Ughhh what happened…did we…make….it"he said before going wide eyed as he saw the ship right now but it wasn't the ship anymore. As it was torn in half it seems as debris littered the place as their was still some fresh fire from the sudden impact. While for the other diamona was their gathering what every supplies she could as tyra was helping her. Ame was close by noiticng him awake
"Oh thank god your awake…i thought you died"ame said hugging him as he looked around for zephyra
"Wheres zephyra…don't…don't tell me she.."he didn't finish as she sighed shaking her head
"i don't know the ship split in two when you slashed the console. Lets just hope we can find her soon she was on the other side."ame sadly answered as he looked down very worried now. diamona grabbed a couple packs dropping it by their feet as they stared at her
"Well we aint just gonna stand around and find out. Were heading to the other crash site to hopefully find her. It'll take a while to get their but once we get their. We can grab her and then head back to the capital. Surprisingly we got pretty far so i don't know how long it'll take us"diamona said as they all began to make their way to wherever zephyra was hoping to find her.
Although at the other crash site zephyra slowly sat up coughing as she felt liquid running down her head as she felt around. Then lifted her hand up seeing blood.
"What happened…..i…i need to get help i…"she was stopped as the sound of a gun being primmed was heard close by. She looked up see gole with four of his thugs standing their.
"Your going to come with us to kuchinsake. You'll be our biggest paycheck yet girly"gole said with a grin as the girl was soon their prisoner. As both groups were being escorted and had different goals in mind. Though what they won't expect is to run into two other groups that had familiar faces among them.
Seems that perun and zephyra both are in their own situations right now being separated from each other. Though it seems that bombay met a gravekeeper in the capital saying hes a possible ally. Thanks for reading!
