Chapter 108:Its Like Meangerie All over Again
Everyone right now was now enjoying themselves before they got a good spar in in the academy training hall. As they were all in the cafeteria right now as they all agreed to have a meal together like old times. While some of them prepared the feast for tonight mainly being dravan, ren and cardin along with tyra who actually knows how to cook.
But everyone right now were catching up on some their adventures they went on in the last month. Along with what they've been up too as all of them were enjoying each others company at that moment though a few of them kept their weapons because of a grimm hybrid. Which others found annoying.
But in the kitchen right now was cardin and dravan as the two were chopping up some carrots for a stew. As the jackal was preparing some fish for those as he dap a bit of oil on them. Along with sprinkling in some pepper onto it.
As for ren he was in the process of making some pasta as tyra was in the middle of getting trays and plates for their meal. As the four had some casually conversation
"Man can't believe those guys are safe i was worried sick about them."cardin said
"Well thankfully they ran into us because that dumb uras wasn't too much a big deal for me"tyra said confdientlly
"You four were struggling against it since you barely had enough ammunition to handle it"ren simply corrected as she slinked down blushing embarrassed
Dravan laughed at that"man i just met this kid and hes already cracking wise. Whats your name again?"he asked
"Li ren"ren introduced himself
"Well kid you seem like a simply guy. Where you from sure your parents miss you right now"dravan said but ren slightly went wide eyed at that as he slowly down on stirring the pot with a downcasted look which cardin noticed
"Hey you good over here?"he asked concerned
Ren looked up at him before eyeing lotus close by smiling slightly"i'm quite alright its just that parents are not of this world anymore. Along with that my home is kuroyuri which is thankfully being restored to what it once was"he simply answered to the man surprise
"Your from their? Heard the twins sent some of the tribe their to help in rebuilding it since a grimm destroyed it a long time ago."dravan said
"Well that grimm is dead….all of those it hunted down and slain are now at peace. But it was nice to see me and nora home after wu shui took us in"ren replied as this sparked some interest
"Who the heck is wu shui?"tyra asked placing some glasses and plates with forks, knives and spoon on it so she could carry it out in a bit. The pink eyed boy thought for a moment before to cardin surprise seeing him smile which he never saw in beacon. Except when he was with nora.
"He was a kind soul who took both me and nora in after we lost our home. For two years he cared for us like we were his own. But eventually we ran into a friend of his or his student ruby mothers"ren stated
"Wait that summer chick? So what he had silver eyes too"cardin asked as he nodded
"Yes, but unfortunately that day two people were chasing her down. One of them was that selket women with someone else but…at that time she was normal. Not like how we saw her back in deepwald. That women was a deranged killer…she…"he paused before looking down hurt but kept his composure.
"You doing okay over here kid did something happene that day? You don't gotta continue"Dravan offered which he appreciated
"Thank you but….i'm sure you have a question for him. Since he almost posioned your niece"Ren simply replied shifting the topic to cardin who eyed the large man who glared down at him as his tail thrashed
"I would like to hear exactly why you decided to posion my niece? Because it better be a dam good reason because it'll determine if i don't beat you up"dravan warned as the boy hoped it wasn't like declan back in menagerie. Cardin stood their for a moment chopping more vegetable sighing looking down
"Only did it since she talked trash one day in class since i used to hate faunus. But well…made that wolf faunus do it since she was ex white fang."cardin said
"Wait are we sure she isn't a spy?"tyra stupidly asked as the three glared at her making her drop the topic at that moment continuing with her task.
"But anway i…regret what i did to her that day. Seriously i almost posioned her though one day those two sister uncle visited. And well she got annoyed getting into it with yang and clocked her in the jaw."he continued peeking the man interest as he studied him
"After that saw her running off crying and went to console her. Found her under some tree crying and checked up on her. Hostile at first but we talked, mentioned my dad who i lost few years ago. Then after that we sort of started to become friends. Though she did help me big time at the vytal dance"he replied peeking his interest
"Oh and how did my niece do that exactly?"dravan questioned
"She helped him dance with a panda faunus. From what she told us on the way here to pass the time."ren answered surprising the man who studied him for a bit judging his answer for a bit as the man wanted to clock him in the face. But thought how his niece seemed rather close to him as he sighed patting him on the shoulder
"Good on you realziing your mistake. It takes alot for someone to become friends with my niece and you seemed to have done that"Dravan said reassuring him
"Well uh thanks but guessing your going to punch me in the face"cardin replied as the man grinned
"Nah a maid dress is worse in my opinion. Though in the words of my friend peter its apart of becoming a huntsman. Disguises work best for cover operations now come lets get this grub because i'm sure everyone else is starving right now"dravan said as they cotnineud to cook the meal for tonight fesitiviaties
Although in the cafeteria right now everyone was ata table closest to the kitchen right now as most of them were at the table talking amongst themselves. All except for zane who decided to sit a bit away from everyone as they all were talking with each other. Catching each other up on what they missed and what they did.
"So wait your telling us that you guys traveled on a grimm infested ship. Then you fought off a bunch of grimm and delivered a baby!"nora shouted surprised
Neo shrugged her shoulder for a moment as she signed to her sister as lazuli laughed for a moment.
"Seems that little sis here wasn't on the deck fighting grimm but got to see one thing. The miracle of child birth which i'm sure scared you"lazuli said as the mute shviered before pretending to rock back and forth to their amusement.
"You didn't miss anything seriously those grimm were everywhere. Thankfully we held them off and took down that sea falong."onxyia added on
Adam chuckled"though its nice to hear that sienna had another child. If i recall she had a daughter named aruna. How is she?"he asked as the wolf eyed him down because she doesn't trust him one bit as nadia tapped her chin
"Shes fine probably a big sister now since sorrel was born"she replied slightly growling
"Ohh you mean her new bundle of joy sorrel. Hes the cutest little faunus i've seen"nadia cooed
Daimona sighed disappointed"wish i was their myself to see it. I heard she was pregnant and was planning on visiting her home in vale. But i never found the time hows her husband verde?"she asked
"Hes back in dryshore had to run his business from going down. Left his assistant in charge of it"nadia said pausing eyeing her niece who took noticed of this right now.
"What are you staring at me for?"lazuli asked before her little sister neo leaned over with a huge grin on her face before shifting into jazmine appearance as she then shattered into glass before pulling her scroll out quickly texting on it. Then she flipped it showing it
"I won the bet and got a girlfriend before you. You owe me lien"the text read as the thief frowned in annoyance hoping she woudln't bring that up. She already lost the one with falk but now with her own little sister.
Lazuli sighed patting the girl head"i'll pay you when i can little sis but your sporting dad hat. How'd you ge this old thing?"She asked tipping it slightly as velvet rubbed her ears for a moment.
"Oh from what i heard your brother went to vale alot. Heard your dad was buried on this little spot in vale. He got a few of your families things and had them shipped back to your aunts house back in menagerie. But umm well…"velvet paused with an embarrassed look
"Whats up with you rabbit ears something embarrassing happen at that house. You two cuddle with your boytoy"merucry teased but the rabbit puffed her cheeks up crossing her arms.
"No…i..um me and a few others went back to the beacon dorms. We got a few things for everyone we…lost"velvet sadly replied as a brief wave of grief washed over them at that moment. As rogue eyed her arm shield for a moment bringing it up then placed it up showing the initials on it that were craved with one craved out.
"Don't worry their watching our backs right now from above."rogue said softly as some of them eyed it down for a moment shocked seeing that. But it made alot of them feel very content seeing that right now as zephyra smiled seeing tanners name on that.
She laughed"you know if tanner was here he'd probably be screaming at the top of his lungs. Saying hes been immoritlzied or whatever"she said laughing slightly unknown to them zane was listening but kept his piece
"Yeah i miss that guy…seriously sucks that he aint here. Though my old bandmate is rocking it out above now"perun added
Mercury sighed propping his feet up"same here miss cinder alot but hey shes with her mom right now. Must be telling her about everything she did back in beacon smiling while she does it"he siad making the women two teammates smile upon hearing that. "Golaith in the room real quick how does she even have a tail?"perun questioned
"Yeah becuase seriously xiaolong over here showed us a picture of it. And i don't believe it"may said before reaching over stroking the very fluffy tail as weiss blushed from the touch as her one eye sank.

May blinked"oh my god…it felt so real….and very fluffy.i kinda wanna touch it again"She said but her hand was smacked away by falk who wagged his finger
"Hey thats my girlfriend go get your own. And you can do something like that when you get the chance"he spat back making wiess blushed embarrassed hearing that but ruby reached over feeling the tail up as it wriggled in her hands.
"But its so fluffy! How do you even have a tail? Because this is so weird to see you with one?"ruby asked excited as the heiress removed her partners hand from her.
Weiss then went into a brief explanation on how she got her new apmedgae how she scraped her hand against the faunus heart. Showing them the rock even it surprised them such an artifact existed though a certain glove was here housing a fire sprit but some hoped she didn't appear right now. Since their is a certain family that women hates deeply.
After her explanation all of them were quite surprised to hear that how she became a faunus.
"Thats how it happened anything else because no your not allowed to touch it. Nora stop it"weiss said not even looking at nora retracted her hand away from it
"Nope because i'm surprised something like that even exist still. Read about it in a book in my free time. Srurpsied you even found the dang thing"dimaona replied drinking some water. But someone had a question on why their here.
"Althouhg….the news said you and eria over here were kidnapped. Did you guys get resued from your kidnappers or something?"bombay asked as alot of them got very quiet at that moment.
No one spoke or uttered a word at that moment until eventually weiss let out a claming sigh before she spoke.
"I guess we can't really hide this…we…we faked my kidnapping to get away from my home"weiss meekly answered surprising some as a few of them looked worried as yang swalked over
"Weiss…you don't need to talk about this right now. Lets enjoy tonight okay"yang softly said
"She right look we can tell them tomorrow or something but lets just–"eria was stopped but her
"No…they deserve to know but please keep this between us alright. No one can know about this"weiss replied as some of them were confused as tyra brought out the dishes placing them on the table. Along with cardin and ren helping her as the food was ready right now as dravan needed to finish some final touches. But evneutally ruby decided to speak up
"Don't worry we won't tell anyone….you can tell us"ruby said with a smile but that was something weiss might regret telling her partner.
As weiss wrapped her arms around herself before saying something they weren't expecting"my parents have been divorced for years now. And my…my father hits me and my brother whitley"she said as her voice hitched but this made them all freeze at that moment as falk hugged her lightly before she mentally broke down
"He did what?!"nora shouted in surprise as jaune was startled by that news as ren was even taken aback by that.
"He did what to you?! I…that doesn't make sense the news said your family has been going steady for years"merucyr replied as ruby looked hurt hearing this staring at her partner who hugged herself tighter now.
As diamona smacked her fist together cracking her knuckles"what did that faunus hating devil do to you? Because if you got proof the court of law needs to know this"She grolwed
Weiss finally found her voice again and continued"he…he whipped me and my brother not in a normal way a parent should"weiss fianlyl said making them even more enrage as cardin glared at this as velvet gasped covering her mouth. While rogue looked hurt hearing that happen to her as thsite slowly pieced something together going wide eyed.
"Oh…oh my god…at the gala…he…don't tell me…"she was stopped
As weiss got up before removing her jacket slowly showing her back to them all of them froze up at that moment in complete shock. Seeing the several very deep scars on her back with some looking old and some even looking very recent since the scars look fresh still. Nadia clenched her hands in rage right now seeing that as qrow eyed his daughter wondering how she'll take it.
"Oh…oh my god"rogue replied in complete shock while everyone else was speechless
"This…this is what he did to me and my brother. A snake sword did this…all of this whitley took most of it. But…t-that night he…he made me take thirty lashes…telling me im not the heir anymore. He trying to take my baby brother..but..i..s-sorry for–"She was stopped before ruby sprung up hugging her from behind tight with an upset look.
"You don't need to continue…it'll be fine…everything will be okay. But why didn't you tell us?"ruby asked slightly teary eyed as weiss slipped her jacket back on looking down.
"I..i was too scared of what might happen to my brothers…i'm sorry…i was just scared"weiss cried as her partner hugged her for a minute as they held it until it passed as nobody said anything until ren spoke up.
"Its understandable why you did it…we won't tell a soul"he replied
"Hes right because that jerks aint gonna get through us. Next time i see him i might bust his jaw with my mace on accident. Oh well"cardin said smackign his fist together
"Hmmm i might accidentally let a gadget of mine go off. Who knows next thing i know hes at some weapons expo. Oh well say bye bye to that ugly stache of his"rogue said as weiss smiled at all this supports shes getting tearing up as she wiped them away for a moment.
"Thank you…thank you all"weiss replied happy they understand as soon enough evneutlaly they all began to have lunch for tonight. Dravan brought the cart out as they helped him set up the plates for dinner tonight. As they did nadia noticed her son still sitting far away from everyone which worried her right now immensely as her friend was busy talking with asani
"So your my old teammates new daughters its a pleasure to meet you. "diamona greeted
Asani mask displayed a nervous emoticon"oh um…i-its nice to meet you too ma'am..pleasure to make your accituance"she said lady like
Dimona chuckled"you don't got act all lady like around me kiddio. I appreciate it but well lets just say i got a couple mouthy little kids back home. Who probably been worried sick for their mom"she replied as asani mask displayed an embarrassed emoticon.
"S-sorry i was told that how i'm suppose to act…when i was under service of..y-y-yohi"she replied nerovusly peeking her interest as qrow along with his group evasdropped
"So what ash told me was true. That psycho was treating you like some slave"qrow said but asani flinched starting to visible shake hugging her self as she started to take several rapid breaths as dimona eyes changed yellow telling her she was afraid
"Hey you doing okay over here?"mercury asked as he reached to touch her but she visable flinch preparing to get hit covering her head
"Please don't hit me…i..i don't know what i did wrong"Asani said stuttering in fear as it surprised them as dimaona gently reached over pulling the girl over. But not before placing her hands on her mask as the girl held it for dear life.
"Sweetie take the mask off alright…let me get a better look at you"Diamona softly said as she shook her head several times. But she wasn't giving up using her semblance to calm her down as eventually she seemed to relax as the women removed it to reveal her face. As the girl expected to be called a freak at that moment but was the opposite
"So your just nervous about me seeing a little birth mark…thats nothing to be ashamed of"diamona said
"Huh so thats why you wore that mask around in deepwald. Pretty cool though what did you use for the display. ?"rogue asked interested as ruby seemed fascinated by it
"She right because this looks very well made. Did you make all of this yourself theris an LED display. Along with a face rig that copies and mimics facially expressions or emotions. This is so advance you must be very smart"ruby compliemtned
This made asani face slightly go flush at the complement before eyeing the silver eyed girl. She heard about her from yohi but got a better look at her finding her actually cute. But she woudln't find someone like her attractives shes an abomination. But nadia noticed it as did yang but hide it
"I..i um did…t-though uh it took me a while. Since they forced me to do labor alot"asani saldy said
Qrow sighed scratching his chin"well from what i heard from asher he was a psycho. Though i'm sure he'd be happy to hear your in safe hands right now kiddio"he reassured as it did a little right now. But soon enough nadia tapped her friend on the shoulder getting her attention
"Something up walker?"diamona replied before the tiger motioned for her to follow her which she did. They didn't walk far as they walked to the very far end of the cafeteria as everyone was fixing themselves up plates right now for their meal. But the polar bear was curious why she brought her over.
"Okay walker is something up because the only time you make that look. Is that you want my help?"diamona replied a sthe tiger looked down rubbing her arm
"Thats because i do. Because i really need your help with someone right now"nadia answered
That made the women confused for a moment before seeing she was staring at something. Following her gaze she traced it to where zane was as the women figured out immediately what this was over.
"Let me guess something up with your son you got back. Believe me surprised to see the little guy all grown up well not so little anymore. But hes also pretty infamous now with his current repuation"diamona commented making her friend glare at her slightly
"What you gonna tell me to adboned my son. Because news flash i'm not going to have a repeat of what happened back in menaigera."she stated firmly catching the women interest what happened their exactly but she kept her peace for now which was a question for later.
"Okay let me guess you want my help? What do you need"diamona replied making the tiger feel relived seeing this side of her right now. She was always very kind and didn't judge those by their appearance. The women thought on how to phrase her request for a moment until she found it
"I want you to give him some therapy after were done with the attack on havan academy"nadia snswered which didn't surprise the women one bit
"Let me guess got something to do with those bags under his eyes. I saw them and how he acted after being freed from that crate. He suffering from guilt i'm guessing from what he helped start?"she softly asked as her ears flopped over with an upset expression
Because she was heartbroken and praying right now that what happened on menagerie won't happen here as well. Because she wants to make sure nothing pushes him over the edge right now which might lead to something dangerous.
Nadia nodded"i do…but i'm very worried everyone will treat him like some outcast. Seriously some of them got mouths on them…saying how hes some spy. He isn't…i just want him to smile again. Without forcing it"she asked wanting to cry but her tall friend pulled her into a comforting embrace as she leaned into it.
"Don't worry walker…i'll try to help calm things down alright. Lets get back…maybe you should tell your kid to come over and join them"diamona said as the tiger loved the sound of that as they walked back to eat with the others.
Although right now with eria she was sitting with perun and neptune right now. As they were at their own table far enough from the other discussing something that the couple evadropped on early. The girl was very happy to see her boyfriend after so long and glad they can spend time together.
But early when she saw velvet running out her and perun gave chase but when they overhead them talking about something happening on menagerie. It worried her because right now her team was whole. She was happy to see her sister safe and sound, but she needed to punish her later for running away from home. And at one point discuss with her about that little revenge plan of hers.
She also overjoyed to see her partner who seemed to be doing better than ever. The girl seems to still be in a relatisonhip with those two. And she knows she glad her brother is back home safe and sound. But as for her leader she mad at him but knows he might do some grand gesture to apologize to her. Though she was worried what those three meant by something happening on menagerie.
"So you two told me you evasdrop on rabbit girl, dual traits and blondie. How something happened on menagerie?"neptune asked
"Yeah look i don't trust your leader right now snowy"perun paused as she gave a very ice stern glare as he put a hand up
"But i can tell when something wrong with someone. I'm guessing your worried too"he corrected himself as she looked down rubbing her prosthetic knee for a moment tight.
"I am because i'm recalling what my dad mentioned back home. How he wasn't treated the best…which got me starting to theorize something"eria said
"And that would be what exactly?"neptune asked as she dreaded it
"I think…maybe everyone got hostile with each other. Which resulted in them having problems since he was their. And i think the faunus their might have abused him along with being treated terrible in vale"she answered as the two eyed her for a moment before nodding at that in agreement. Though what begged the question what will they do?
"Alright i kinda figured that. Though how should we approach this because i'm sure everyone else won't just casually talk about it"perun said as eria hummed for a moment before eyeing her leader who was still sitting by himself right now as she noticed nadia talking to him right now.
This hurt seeing that because it reminded her of when her and rogue were kids. They were outcast amongst their peers for being related to a faunus but the only other friend they had was pyyrra at the time. Over time it grew into perun, tanner, ame for a bit along with neptune joining them. Eventually they made a few more friends their despite the lifestyle their.
"We should maybe convince him to come over and sit with everyone. He starting to distant himself i think"eria suggested as the two nodded walking over with her. As they did they overheard nadia in the midst of trying to get him to come over.
"Come on why are you over here? I thought you'd be excited to see your friends again after they thought you were dead. Except you took a very long nap…come on…come on"nadia said shaking him a little as he sighed
"Mom just leave me alone for a bit….pretty sure alot of them don't want me over their"zane sadly replied
The tiger ears flopped slightly with worry"look i know a few of them are scared of you. But don't worry we can clear things up if anything happens. That dumb farm kid who was your headmaster seems to trust you"she said before eria cleared her throat strartling them a little.
It was quiet for a moment as zane layed his head down avoiding her gaze right now because he really didn't want to see her right now. Because of one misttake and something that his fault her lose of limp. Neptune rubbed his head
"So what are you two doing over here? Because everyone else is over here eating and partying. Though…"he said before plopping down on a spot next to him
"Thanks for saving my butt from that griffion. Though i could have handled it i'm sure"neptune thanked with confidence as perun eyed him down
"Dude. slater and orcihie told me how you screamed like a little girl. Before sun left for vacuo he told them and we made fun of you for three weeks because of it. I heard you even pissed yourself"perun teased making the hydrophobe blush hearing that because he only did a little.
Nadia laughed slightly eyeing the cold girl with concern"yeah though girly i'm sure your mad at my kid. Saw a note how you'd turn him into a clownsicle"she said
"Hmm another time i'm just happy my team is whole again right now. Why don't you come over and we all can catch up. Though uh i did see that video you left to my father"eria said catching his interest as he slightly looked up
"Oh that…already left a dumb sucide video…didn't know if i'd run into you guys again. Just wanted to give a head ups…sorry for being a compelte dumbass"he replied with no cheer in his tone which surprised her. He would joke back or do a quip to heras she decided to sit across from him placing her hands together.
"I…do hate how you sent something like that to us. But at the same time i know it might have been alot since you had those mental suggestions. Though with them gone it makes things alot easier and makes you not even a threat. Depsite having a very ugly bug now in your back"she replied as a few hisses could be heard from his back
"Oh i don't like this girl now. Routing around your head tells me she was annoying….and very cold. Matches her persoanltiy fine"bane said in his head
"Ughh shut up you stupid parasite…not in the mood for you to be cryptic"zane replied but realzied his mistake eyeing them all for a moment as they process that seeing him talking to a voice in his head.
"Okay not weird at all seeing this guy talking to a voice in his head right now"perun bluntly said making zane feel awkward now that he has this become a problem now.
"Well that kid over their has one too so now their in a club. They might need more member though anyone else here got a voice in their head?"nadia joked as none of the three raised their hands. Eria sighed before walking over to his side before lifting him to his feet which surprised her a little she wasn't the strongest. But then she grabbed him by the hand dragging him over.
"Your coming over weather you like it or not."eria codly demanded as nadia eyed the rocker and blue haired boy who shrugged their shoulders. Following after her eria soon made him sit down as he was placed in between velvet and onxyia. Though once he did a few of them eyed him down as bashira kept her weapon in his view. As sitting close by to ruby was qrow as the man eyed him down with a stern glare. This made him just tense up now as they all sat down as they all talked about stuff.
As dravan was in the middle of showing his niece his prosthetic arm as rogue was enamroed in it right now starrye eyd.
"Oh my god. Oh my god you have a metal arm! This is so cool right now who made this for you?!"rogue shouted in joy as her uncle chuckled removing her off his new apendgae patting her head.
"That would be my brother…thought your dear old pop would kill me for hiding away from my family"dravan sadly answered as rogue looked puzzled as she eyed her cloth on her hand confused why he would even go into hiding. She wondered why he didn't just come back home she saw his arm their but not him
"Wait…why didn't you come back home? Because if you were alive…why did you make us think you were dead? Did…we do something wrong?"rogue asked hurt making the man spring into action
"No…no you didn't do anything wrong sweetie. More like i ummm…welll…"he tired to find the words as falk stared at him.
"Your uncle thought he got you killed by that psycho tyrian guy with his wife"he answered taking a bite of his food as dravan tail drooped to the ground embarrassed he said that. As rogue went wide eyed hearing that because that would explain why he went into hiding. But to think that he thought he killed her hurts to hear. As the blonde tinker leaned over hugging him tight as he eyed her.
Rogue had tears beginning form"you…you didn;t get me killed…you s-saved me…dad found me in time. You didn't do anything wrong"She cried a little as the large man sat their for a moment before leaning down embracing her tight happy hearing that as his tail wagged. They held it for a bit until releasing as he whipped a tear away with his thump.
"Thats nice to hear dear though….if i didn't do that i wouldn't have gotten the chance to start a family. You got a baby cousin named luna and an aunt now"dravan stated causing her to look shocked for a moment before balling her eyes out hugging the closest person that being mercury
"We have a cousin?!"she cired ln joy as eria chuckled at that
"It was quite a shock to me though anything interesting happen to any of you while we were apart?"eria asked as they all paused for a moment as cardin shrugged his shoulders
"Traveled through a grimm infested city. Pretty hard at first but hey we found the dead guy over their. Who turns out was in a coma"cardin said gesturing to his friend which surprised those who didn't know
"You were in a coma? When did you wake up"jaune asked
Zane messed with his food not even eating it"not that long ago…might be about three weeks now. Though…heard um what happened…sorry for your loss"he apolgized as jaune looked down before bouncing back
"Thanks i'm sure pyr somewhere nice right now. I miss her but i know shes looking out for me, nore and ren right now"jaune answered which didn't help his friend guilt right now.
Nora was shoveling some food in her mouth before swallowing"Well we saved two towns from being destroyed. One of them being me and renny home"she said sweetly nuzzling against him as ren patted her head.
"Well the second was actually my older sister place. Hey since you guys got a ship we could visit their after were done. My sister along with graz maybe even asher might say hi"jaune suggested peeking asani interest
"Yes!"she shotued exicteed before slinking down embrasseed as qrow chuckled at that guesisng that girl wanted to thank the lekptoomatic.
"Yeah but your also forgetoing how red over here led the charge agains that psycho selket"merucyr added as ruby blushed mebrassed for a moment as yang and wiess eyed her along with eria
"You guys got involved in a war too?"yang asked to their surprise right now
"Wait…you guys too?! Don't tell me one of you got tortured or kidnapped"nora whined which startled them a little before ruby accidentally eyed rogue who looked away as some eyed eria who looked away. As velvet pierced it together.
"Wait…both of you got kidnppaed?"velvet asked surprised as eria groaned
"Vernal kidnapped me but we managed to create a prison break"she replied
"Well uh for my sunshine that psycho selket did it. Locked her in some cell with someone else lucky we got to you in time"murcyr said
"Wait…that chick tortured you?"falk asked concerned right now
"Are you alright because from what we read in that dossier she seems very psychotic. Did she hurt you?"Velvet asked concerned sitting next to her as rogue sighed rubbing her eyes for a moment recalling what she did to her it wasn't pleasant.
"I'm fine…she couldn't kill me which pissed her off. Although something interesting did happen that day. because.."Rogue said before acitviting the other part of her semblance which revealed her hands being coated in lava as velvet yelped jumping back. Onxyia and zane were surprised to see this right now.
"Whoa. when could firestarter over here make lava appear over her hands?"cardin asked as jaune himself smiled deciding to explain.
"Oh well apparently her semblance evolved after nora and her got trapped in a cave in. we pulled them out and well…nora almost died and i…actually unlocked my semblance"jaune announced to their shock as they processed that for a moment as cardin laughed patting him hard on the back making him stumble.
"Hey congrats jauney boy on unlocking your semblance"he congrautled
"Thats great to hear. Here i thought all you would be known for was your nickname vomit boy"yang said with a cheeky grin making him groan as they began to laugh at that nickname being brought up.
"Oh..oh my god thats priceless."lazuli said laughing holding her stomach right now.
"Why do you guys have to bring that nickname up. I didn't wear a maiddress as a punishment"jaune said making cardin blush at that heavily as they began laughing at him but the bully eyed oscar for a moment wonderign that.
"Hey why did you make me wear a stupid maid dress seriously that was embarrassing"cardin asked as ozpin talked in oscar head for a moment making him chuckle.
"What is it? Why did he do it because it was a perfect pusnihemtn for him"velvet teased as he making a yanking motion on his ears making her back off slightly before making a pouty face directed toward him.
"Oh he did it because he thought it might teach you a lesson. But he asked for teachers to suggest one for you and thats the one glynda came up with"oscar answered as the boy felt betrayed he thought she was nice but she was the one who made him wear it, she'll get her just deserts soon enough.
"Yeah actually now that you mention i actually have my summoning glyphs now"weiss mentioned
"That amazing because i also evolved mine as well back in the anima. I could create small blizzards now out of thin air. Buts it can be very draining at times"eria added on as onxyia tail flicked around before eyeing a nearby person that being adam. As she aimed her hand at him before filing off a chi blast launching him down to the ground. As all of them looked at her hand glowing.
"Whoa! When the heck could you fire bolt of energy from your hands"neptune said
Adam sat up groaning"guess that was payback for what i did to blake"he asked as she growled which answered him
"Yeah because that was awesome do it again"Rogue demanded
"Uhh i rather not it waste alot of my aura for just three blast. Though i evolved my semblance after a fire happened at the house. Even zanes evolved too guess our entire team got a new trick to their semblance"onxyia answered confusing them for a moment on that their entire team semblance evolved but this scared ruby wondering if it was something like that slasher form.
"Okay thats interesting to hear guess his evolved what do you have two armblades or something like that big knife you had?"nora bluntly asked making him flinch shaking which diamona didn't like at all seeing that type of reaction. Because she has been dianozing him the entire time…he seems very troubled right now.
"I..i..i..don't u-use that anymore..i..told myself i never would"zane said neoruvsly
Ruby huffed slightly"why because you stabbed penny with it and nows she proabbly dead because of you"She codly said to yang shock she even say that right now. Because she understands she hurt about her being gone but she soudln't say that around him.
"Red…he trashed a stupid bot. I suggest you keep your shut before i smack you upside the head"lazuli warned stepping forward as qrow stepped infront of her placing a hand on habrigner.
"Don't think about it kid or you'll deal with me"qrow warned
Ruby stood up crossing her arms``Well i'm sorry but penny wasn't just some robot. She was a living breathing person and an android. Which actually made her human so tehcnailly he did kill someone which makes him a…murderer"she heaisted on the last part as the others were hoping it wasn't like the island again. As nadia decided to stop this right now.
"Girly you better watch what you say. Because despite my age i've beaten these two punks back at beacon a couple times"nadia said cracking her knuckles staring down the branwhen twins. Raven sighed placing a hand on omen.
"My niece is just hurt she gone alright. Lets just all calm down before things escalate"raven said being the voice of reason right now. But ruby glared directly at him as he looked away.
"Maybe if you sent someone else in the final round penny would still be here. Because i'm just going to say it ...some of us here are scared of you. I know i should hide that fact but i can't because…because she gone…and its all your fault"ruby said with some tears forming as wiess guided her to sit down.
"Ruby look we know you miss her but…were all friends here we shouldn't be saying that"weiss said nerovusly seeing how the menagerie group was looking at her right now nadia especially.
Yang stared her little sister down"sis i know your hurt but i suggest you don't do this right now. Bec–"she was stopped
"Why are you taking their side?!"ruby shouted as her eyes flashed silver slightly as it made them scared but zane especially as several scared hisses could be heard coming from him as he visible shook. Jaune noticed him scared right before he decided to get involved
"Ruby calm down look i know your hurt about the people we lost. But calm down before y–"he was placing a hand on her shoulder but she threw it off.
"Shut up! Seriously i don't care i..she might be actually dead and its his fault"ruby cired as he held his head shaking right now before he got up walking toward the door saying something shocking.
"Umm pennys alive and i…i know i killed people along with everyone else that died mainly being all our friends. Its my fault their all dead…i know i'm a monster"he quietly said but they all heard it catching them offguard.
"What?"she said looking at them as they all were silent as he just looked away with guilt sighing opening the door to leave.
"I'll…go outside sorry for ruining…umm tonight again…i need some air"zane meekly said closing the door leaving them as it clicked shut as they sat in silence right now. Rubys eyes began to disappear slowly with the silver flash looking down hearing that penny was alive which made her happy. But hearing that he actually blames himself for everyone that died that day made her sad.
It was just pure silence right now as nobody talked right now just processing what they just heard but it hurt rogue and eria alot hearing that. Mainly because they both knew how pyrrha and tanner died during the fall. While merucry stared down at the table with a hurt look. Jaune thought felt the most hurt that he would blame himself for pyrrha death, he doesn;t blame him. Soon someone broke it.
"Are…we hearing things or did he just say that…he knows its his fault people are dead. That..he blames himself for everyone that died"weiss asked shocked uttering it.
"Umm i…i don't know i…um…"rogue couldn't find the words but just layed her head down. Diamona looked over at nadia who was glaring at ruby right now.
"Thanks alot you little brat, seriously do us a favor you drunk and keep your niece in check"nadia growled. Qrow got up glaring at her.
"Hey sorry that little freak you call the son starting to feel guilt now. "Qrow argued but surpsignly someone backed her up.
"Uncle do me a dam favor and shut the hell up. Because right now i'm not in the mood for you being a paranoid dad. After you pretended you weren't for little sis for ten years"yang spat making qrow flinch hearing that hitting a sour spot.
"Wait…hes her dad?!"may aksed surprised
"We can explain later right now because we got a problem now"qrow codly said
"What hes just stating facts. Seriously not our fault that guy killed everyone techincially seriously in my opinion i don't trust him. We should really just turn him in"bashira stated earning a glare from onxyia who growled bearing her canines announcing something troubling.
"Were not having a repeat of what happened back in menagerie!"onxyia shouted slamming her hand on the table. But it caught them offguard hearing this happened before
"Wait…what do you mean…did something happen back in menagerie?"nora asked confused as the wolf relaized her mistake laying her head down with an upset look. All of the others in her group eyed each other seeing this as a losing battle.
"Yeah because how you guys are acting seems like you all got in a spat before you came here i'm guessing"diamona asked hitting the mark.
"We did…look not alot of people really like the guy right now. Its obvious some of you guys are afraid of him or think he out to kill us. But seriously cut him some slack"Cardin said sticking up for his friend. Nadia then eyed her arm for a moment sighing before reaching into her hidden slot pulling the flashdrive out which raven noticed.
"Why are you taking out a flashdrive? Im guessing its relevant to what this is"raven asked as the tiger nodded looking down. She gripped it tight hoping it didn't have to come to this.
"Look we'll explain what happened first then we'll show you whats on this drive. But their will be some rules with it after we explain"nadia said before beginning the explanation on what happened on menagerie.
All of them sat in silence as she discussed how they defeated conri that day on the island. Though later in the night she explained how he told her that penny is alive in atlas right now. But they mentioned how onxyia and him broke thing off for a bit which they found strange but they explained it was relevant. Then cardin got involved explaining what happened next.
Him and her got in a spat saying how she shoudln't have called him a monster. But then that resulted in blake suggesting a collar, which sent vance off. After that everyone was mainly at each others throats saying to just kill him or treat him like some monster. Resulting in him running away, then he was almost hanged to death. Which cuaght some offguard hearing that especially ruby wondering if shes acting the same way now.
Then they explained how for five days they were at each other throats until finally seeing reason, but they did on time when they threw him in a lake drowning him to death. But the vale group decided to explain what happened back at camp. How for three days he was praticualry harassed and abused everyday, forcing himself to say he was fine. But he wasnt as they were nearing the end of their explanation.
"And thats what happened in menagerie along with what happened in vale"cardin sadly finished the explantion to their shock right now as none of them could believe it.
Ren looked hurt hearing this"you all let that happen…for that long and didn't get involved"he asked shocked
"I..i didn't know that what happened to the guy since he woke up. Kinda thought it might happen but dam that sounds terrible"merucry admitted shocked
Weiss stroked her tail gently for a moment"blake would never do that…she would never"she stated knowingly
Adam shook his head"you don't know her like i do. She cares deeply for her little sister i'm sure after that fire and her losing her leg. She became a tad bit overportecitve of her even as kids she was. I don't blame her for her behaviors its an obvious reactions"he said wisly to some surprise. But ruby held her cloak in hand tight looking down upset.
"I..i…i'm sorry…i just missed her alright. I let my emotions control me…i'm happy she alives…but i.."she codulnt' find the words as a few tears well up as yang sighed walking over hugging her.
"Sis i know you didn't mean to say that stuff. Look let all eat up then we can….tell you about those files alright. Just be prepared for something heartbreaking alright"yang advised as they nodded in agreement continuing to eat that night. As some hoped they can make sure this doesn't end up like menagerie all over again.
This chapter was pretty intense at another possible situation with everyone being at each others throats but their going to try and resolve it. Ruby acted weird here but understnadables she would be mad at someone who killed someone she knew. Thanks for reading!
