Percy Jackson

Percy steadied himself against the shower wall with an outstretched arm, enjoying the pleasantly cool water running down his body. His free hand was resting on the back of the slender female's head as she bobbed back and forth along his erect cock. For Annabeth's first night as the official "live-in" girlfriend, the last evening had passed fairly uneventfully. Mainly because Annabeth had fallen asleep just about the same moment her head had touched her pillow, which was how he excused taking full advantage of Juniper swearing herself to his service.

He had barely been in the shower for five minutes when Juniper had appeared to tell him that Annabeth was getting to work early somewhere on Olympus and to check if he needed anything. Quite sure that outsourcing morning head to Juniper had been Annabeth's plan from the beginning, he had wordlessly beckoned the dryad to get to work with a nod of his head. Fortunately, Juniper had not seemed to mind and had cast aside her chiton while somehow managing to look shy as he pulled her into the generously sized stall.

So now here she was, staring up at him with those forest green eyes as she sucked with her mouth jammed open to a nearly comical degree. He was leaning over her slightly, so the downpour did not fall in Juniper's face. It was fairly obvious that he exceeded her comfortable working parameters by a considerable degree, making Silena's usual far more assertive performance all the more impressive.

Not that Percy could complain: Juniper was both very cute and seemed to slowly be coming to terms with the size of her task. There was an ingrained submissiveness that felt both enticing and concerning at the same time.

Silena was generally submissive to him in a playful manner, not afraid to offer her opinion when she felt like it had to be shared. When it came to sex, she usually had the initiative and set the pace.

He watched with growing satisfaction as Juniper held the base of his cock with both hands as she bobbed back and forth, barely taking in more than a few inches at a time.

With a small splutter, she pulled off his cock, a string of saliva connecting his tip to her lower lip for a moment that felt like a small eternity. She looked up at him, the corners of her mouth twitching with uncertainty. "My jaw is cramping, master," she explained.

"That's alright my little flower. And my name is still Percy," Percy replied, and eased himself down onto the shower's floor next to his slave and leaned against the wall.

"So, what now?" she asked. "I mean with Annabeth being attacked and everything..."

"We'll be fine," Percy assured her, slipping an arm around her.

For a long moment, she looked at him nervously, as if weighing how much she should believe him.

"How about I keep you safe-" Percy said, keeping his voice light and casual. "-while you keep doing that thing with your mouth.…"

Juniper giggled, her cheeks turning an even darker shade of green. "That sounds fair. You handle the monsters, I keep you happy," she echoed in her own words before shifting to her knees.

Without needing any further encouragement, she leaned down over his lap. Then, after tossing her brown hair over her left shoulder, Juniper braced herself against his thigh with one hand. With her free hand, she took his length, and then tentatively went back to merrily sucking away. Seeing her in profile, he was reminded of how skinny she was,... admittedly also how cute her breasts were. With Percy's hand resting on her ass, he watched the water rain down onto her bare back. After graciously allowing the dryad to find her pace, Percy slowly ran the tips of his fingers down the crack of her ass until his middle finger was resting between her lips. Without uttering even a single word, he pushed his middle finger into Juniper. Despite the shower, his finger smoothly slid into the tight dryad. Caught off guard, Juniper's surprised gasp was somewhat stifled by the tip of his cock otherwise occupying her tongue.

After resting his free hand on the back of Juniper's head, Percy began to guide the slender dryad deeper and deeper, all the while gently teasing her clit. Though not having actually slept that often with Juniper, at least compared to Silena, he was fairly confident about what he could and couldn't do. So, remembering that this was a good mate's ex, he pushed her head down further. Once about half his length was in her mouth, the dryad finally gagged. After holding her in place for a long moment, he pulled his hand back and let Juniper continue on her own. Perhaps having gained inspiration from his friendly suggestion, she continued going down as low, voluntarily gagging on his length. The sensation of her throat shuddering tickled his tip slightly. Grinning to himself contently, Percy leaned back and left Juniper to her devices, resigning himself to draw soft moans from her. When Percy, feeling cheeky, slipped his index finger further up and pushed it into the alternative access point, Juniper barely broke her pace.

Just as it began to sink in that his smallest girl might turn out to be perfectly happy to become his goto girl for anal, the door slid open and he found himself looking up the only woman whose ass he had actually so far tapped.

"So," Silena Beauregard began and turned off the water. She was wearing a blue long-sleeved short and comfortable-looking sweatpants. It was at that moment that both of them realized at the same time that Juniper had no intention of stopping her efforts. "Our guests are up and awake. I am going to make breakfast soon...," she announced and then looked down at Juniper, somewhat bemused before back at him.

"Just hurry up before I have to come up with excuses for what you are up to," she announced, and then seemed to decide he needed more motivation because she added; "... also by the way, Sally and Khione are getting along really well for some reason."

She then turned the water back on and began to close the door when Juniper chose that moment to pull off his cock. "Wait," she gasped, her cheeks flushed a deep shade of green. "I am sure Percy would be thrilled if you joined in."

"I am sure he would," Silena agreed, a playful grin light on her lips, and closed the door.

Once Silena had left the bathroom, Juniper looked up at him as if asking if she should continue, his dick looking ridiculously large and her small hand. It was, he thought, a flattering image. As tempting as cumming in her mouth, or on that innocent-looking face might be, Percy made his little minx look up at him. He would not hesitate to cum in Silena's mouth, or on her face, but he didn't sleep with Juniper nearly as often as he did with the daughter of Aphrodite, who had probably spent as much time on top of him, as he had behind Annabeth, and wasn't sure confident he offered Juniper the emotional intimacy for such a purely physical use. Not that he was sure she wanted such an emotional connection either, at this point.

For all he knew, Juniper was perfectly happy to take the D, and otherwise do her own thing, but it wasn't a risk he was willing to take. Especially with her now being forced to stay inside his residence, and Juniper being robbed of what he presumed were her normal pastime occupations.

Instead, he pulled the dryad to her feet and kissed her on the lips. "Come on," Percy said. "We got to get going. We'll pick this up another time."

"You sure?" Juniper asked, sounding almost crestfallen.

Percy sighed. "Not really, but we have guests."

In hindsight, it was for the best. By the time they were dried off and dressed, Silena had already begun to serve breakfast while Sally was giving little Estelle the bottle, and Paul was looking over some of Piper's Uni stuff with the daughter of Aphrodite.

Percy and Juniper hurriedly dressed, the lingering desire hanging heavy in the air between them. The dryad's cheeks were still tinged with a blush, and Percy could feel the tension thrumming through his own body. He took a deep breath, trying to center himself as they made their way to the kitchen.

As they entered, the warm, homey scent of breakfast greeted them. Silena was bustling around the stove, flipping pancakes with practiced ease. Sally Jackson sat at the table, her expression serene as she fed baby Estelle, who was cooing contentedly. Paul Blofis was deep in conversation with Piper McLean, who looked slightly frazzled as she sorted through a stack of papers.

"Morning," Percy greeted everyone, trying to sound casual. He couldn't help but notice the amused glint in Silena's eyes as she glanced up from the bowl she had just set down.

"Morning," she replied, her tone light. "Sleep well?"

"Not much," he replied just as lightly.

"Now sit down and don't you dare help me! Your mother has already tried," Silena said firmly.

His mother grinned sheepishly. "I surrender Silena, you are the woman of the house."

"I am not sure what I should make of that," another familiar voice announced from the door. Percy looked up to see Annabeth entering the room, freshly fallen snow clinging to her hair and coat.

"Already back, Wise Girl?" Percy asked.

"Union inspector closed down my site, it's frozen over," she explained. "You know, back in the day folks finished their temples on time without complaints!"

"You do know I am in a Union, Annabeth?" Paul asked silly, looking up from Annabeth.

"You heard me," Annabeth fired back cheerfully. "If I had teachers on my worksite, I would higher more teachers to hold the whips. I have deadlines to maintain."

"A small price to pay, I guess," Paul joked before turning his attention back to Piper's books.

For a moment, Percy quietly pondered the matter, before privately deciding he was rooting for the poor union guys. Not being the brightest candle on the cake himself, Percy knew that if he didn't have godly blood in his veins, he would probably be in a union job.

"Guys, put your books away. Time for breakfast," Silena warned loudly, ending any banter before it could really get going.

The breakfast scene continued with a relaxed air of familiarity and camaraderie. Percy, still slightly on edge from the morning's activities, took a seat at the table. Juniper, after a brief hesitation, followed suit and sat beside him, her face still carrying a faint blush.

Silena served up the pancakes, and the group began to dig in. Annabeth, still brushing snow from her coat, joined them at the table.

"So, what's on the agenda for today?" Percy asked, trying to steer the conversation towards something more mundane.

"You and I head out to Camp Halfblood, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth needlessly reminded him.

"I am," Silena announced dramatically. "Going to do just about nothing."

"And I imagine we will be staying here for now, until you clean this unfortunate business up," Paul added.

"You could help me catch up on some studies," Piper suggested, picking up on the perks of living under a roof with a teacher. "Once I am back from the library."

"That sounds like a good idea," his mother said brightly.

"Yeah," Paul agreed, accepting a mug of coffee from Silena. "At least someone here cares about their academic future."

"I am a god," Percy pointed out.

"Running a celestial architecture firm," Annabeth followed up. "Don't have any time for school."

Paul looked hopefully at Silena who offered her best innocent smile. He probably bought it, then everyone seemed to buy it with her. Everyone but Percy, who knew to what the daughter of Aphrodite was capable of while sporting that innocent look. "I am the immortal maid to an Olympian god. I fear I will not be writing too many application letters in my life," Silena said smoothly. "-you know, already have a full-time gig."

"An immortal maid to an Olympian god is an elegant way to put it," Paul said slyly, and Percy knew at that moment that Paul was one hundred percent aware of the more recreationally themed services Silena was intended to provide.

"Paul!" Sally scoffed.

"Couldn't help myself," he said apologetically and Silena only raised an eyebrow, as if waiting for the English teacher to get to the point. "I have been thinking about your situation," Paul said thoughtfully. "Have you ever considered getting a job outside? You know, in the real world? Or going back to school." Paul looked over at Percy. "I trust you'd let her?"

"Silena is free to do just about whatever she wants," Percy said firmly, neatly tossing the ball back into her lap instead.

So, Percy, about our trip to Camp Half-Blood."

"Yeah, what's up?" Percy asked, turning his attention to her.

"We should probably get going. I don't think flying there is viable during this time of the year, and seeing as you aren't doing the teleporting thing yet,..."

"Yeah, yeah, point taken," Percy replied evasively. Sure, he could be putting more effort into his godly training, but that was boring, and even without being the subject of plotting and scheming, he had better things to do, like try to run his freak-show of a household and bear the heavy burden of maintaining his humble harem of beautiful women.

She was right, of course, Percy knew that. So after taking care of Silena, Juniper, and his guests, checking on Khione, and seeing that Circe was still miserable, he and Annabeth borrowed a fancy black Audi Q8 from Olympus's car pool and made the trip down to Long Island. Annabeth had insisted on driving, which Percy graciously permitted, consigning himself to his role as a passenger princess. The weather was still as cold and miserable as on his last trip, down to long island, heavy snow making the ride all the more tiresome. Hadn't she been stuck in his residence, Percy would have assumed Khione was living out her personal grudge against himself or Annabeth.

It was supposed to be a long, boring ride. Traffic was not too bad, so at least that was something. Despite not exactly being a fresh couple, Percy had spent little time in a car with Annabeth, especially with her at the wheel. Annabeth drove just like she conducted her personal relationship. Passive aggressive, a cavalier disregard for her fellow mans safety, and expressing her own issues via contempt for the rest of the world.

Despite being immortal, Percy's fingers dug into the cushions of his seat, as Annabeth tore down frozen snowy roads. She drove as if every spider on the planet had formed a war host and were marching in anger to get her. It was doubtful that Annabeth's foot left the gas petal even once.

"Woman!" Percy yelled after Annabeth drifted around corners, and barreled down country roads as if she were in some if in a real-life version of GTA.

"What!" Annabeth asked, leaning back in the chair, looking remarkably at ease. All that was missing was for her to be supping on some Starbucks drink with a very long Italian sounding name. It occurred to him that Annabeth had probably never actually taken any driving lessons and was probably free balling it. Sure, she had done the same with a helicopter, not that it made it better.

"You nearly just body checked that Van!" Percy exclaimed. "They literally had a fucking baby on board sticker on it."

Annabeth took her eyes off the road for a terrifying for a long moment. "Well, I guess I will have to find a fucking other car to hit then!" she snapped defensively, clearly only now perhaps realizing that he might have doubts in her driving abilities.

She rolled her eyes but seemed to ease off the gas a little, much to Percy's relief. The landscape outside blurred past in a mix of white and gray, the snow-covered trees and fields blending into one another. He tried to relax into his seat, but every sharp turn and sudden break kept his heart pounding.

"Annabeth, you do realize I'm immortal, right?" Percy said, half-joking, half-serious. "But that doesn't mean I want to test the limits of that right now."

"Relax, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth replied with a smirk, her eyes still focused on the road ahead. "I've got this under control."

Percy sighed and muttered something under his breath.

"What?" Annabeth snapped. "Come on, say it out loud."

"I said," Percy said, bracing himself for a possible storm. "I shouldn't be sleeping with the daughter of a war goddess. You are uncultivated savages! Just like the Ares lot!"

"Oh, savages are we!" Annabeth said, and Percy could honestly not tell if she was really upset or just playing around. "Anything else you want to say?"

"Silena gives better head," Percy added, going all or nothing.

Annabeth's grip tightened on the steering wheel, her knuckles turning white. A heartbeat he was thrown into his seat-belt as the daughter of Athena slammed her foot on the breaks. What the blond was playing at was beyond him, and under better weather they might have been fine, but the speeding car immediately lost whatever traction they had had, and began to spin uncontrollably on the icy road. Percy's heart jumped into his throat as the world outside the windows became a blur of white and gray. Annabeth fought with the steering wheel, her usually composed expression twisted into one of first surprise, and then her usual brand of anger that she met all potentially deadly stations with.

The car skidded sideways, the tires screeching against the snow-covered pavement, before they suddenly became weightless.

"Ah shit," Annabeth said a moment before they hit the ground hard and slid sideways down a slope, both of them being tossed around in their seat-belts.

"Annabeth!" he yelled, wishing at that moment more than ever before he could do something godly to get them out of their current mess, and promised himself to finally learn at least the basics. Then, with a final crash, they came to a halt in the ditch, cold water immediately beginning to trickle through the cracked windows.

If he hadn't been a son of Poseidon, it might have actually bothered him, but for the time being, the cursing daughter of Athena next to him seemed to be a far bigger threat.

"Not a single word," Annabeth growled at him, glaring at the steering wheel as if it had personally wronged her. Then, not looking particularly fazed by the accident, she reached out and tried to open the door. When it didn't budge, she heaved herself onto the center console and then kicked out with her powerful legs, knocking the door open. So far, so good, but the moment the door's hinge reached its maximum extension, the door rebounded and slammed shut again.

Annabeth let out a frustrated growl, clearly ready to take on the car door with her bare hands if necessary. Percy, recognizing the danger signs, quickly unbuckled his seat-belt and reached over, gently placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, easy there, Wise Girl," he said softly, trying to soothe her. "Let me try."

Annabeth shot him a glare that could have melted ice, but she shifted back into her seat, arms crossed over her chest and stared straight ahead. Percy took a deep breath, pushing down the swell of adrenaline still coursing through him. With a firm shove, he opened his door just enough to squeeze through the narrow gap and then clambered out into the freezing, snow-laden ditch. The icy water soaking into his shoes and pants was really uncomfortable, not because of the cold per se. The annoying part was that the fabric clung to his skin, but it was a minor inconvenience compared to Annabeth's temper.

Once outside, Percy walked around to Annabeth's side and, after some effort, managed to wrench her door open. He extended a hand to help her out, and despite her evident irritation, she accepted it and climbed out, her cheeks flushed a bright pink.

"We're okay," Percy said, trying to keep his tone light as they surveyed the damage. The car was wedged tightly in the ditch, its tires half-buried in snow. "We'll just call for a tow, and they'll have us out in no time."

Annabeth bit her lip, and then stared up and down the long, deserted country road. "Or, we just walk the rest of the way to camp and forget this ever happened?"

"What part?" Percy asked teasingly, knowing he was really pushing it now. "Your display of driving skills-"

"That, and I forget to be upset about what you just said,..." she added. "You know, about Silena giving better head," she finished for him, her tone dangerously calm.

Percy winced, realizing he might have pushed his luck a bit too far. "Okay, deal," he said, trying to defuse the tension. "Let's get moving then."

After recovering their jackets from the backseat, they climbed up the six-foot slope out of the ditch. Annabeth, being the better climber, took the lead, and then pulled him along for the rest of the way.

They stood on the side of the road and looked down at the ruined car. "You know, we can always say some monster jumped out on you," Percy offered helpfully, strategically positioning himself on her side.

"Yeah," Annabeth said, wiping her hands off on her legs, and then pointedly held out a hand to him. "That could actually work out. Come on, we should be able to make the walk in like two hours or something."

They began walking down the snowy side of the road in relative silence. "If it makes you feel better..." Percy began.

"Chose your next words with care, baby," Annabeth said, her voice lacking its earlier steel.

"You probably have the best legs and ass I have ever seen," Percy offered generously.

Annabeth's stern demeanor softened slightly, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "Is that so?" she replied, her tone playful.

"Absolutely," Percy said, leaning in closer as they trudged through the snow. "I'd eat breakfast off that, and you know I'm a man of my word."

She glanced at him, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Flattery will get you everywhere, Seaweed Brain."

They walked in comfortable silence for a while, the snow crunching beneath their boots and the cold wind biting at their faces as they made their way down the snowy road. The crisp air seemed to clear the tension between them, the shared experience of the crash and the banter afterwards bringing them closer together.

"Still," Annabeth said after a while, "you should really work on that teleporting thing. It would save us a lot of time."

Percy shrugged. "It is what it is."

They continued walking in relative silence for a few minutes before Annabeth broke it, her pride perhaps getting the better of her. "You'd really eat breakfast off my ass?" she asked, her tone somewhat bemused.

Knowing better than to ever back down with her, he stared her straight in the eyes, "Lady, I would be happy to do far more than just eat breakfast of it."

"Well, maybe I'll hold you to that one day," Annabeth said, her tone light yet laced with a challenge. "But for now, let's focus on getting to camp."

Percy smirked, allowing himself to enjoy the banter. "Deal. Just let me know when."

As they trudged on, Percy took a moment to appreciate the peaceful silence of the snow-covered landscape. Eventually, the familiar sight of the camp's borders came into view, the magical boundary shimmering faintly in the distance.

"Looks like we made it," he said, nudging Annabeth with his shoulder.

"Of course we did," she replied with a confident grin. "You didn't doubt us, did you?"

"Never," Percy replied, his tone earnest. "Not for a second."

As they crossed the boundary into Camp Half-Blood, the familiar sights and sounds of the camp greeted them. Where the winter was perfectly miserable outside, the sky over the camp was blue and pristine, and only a few inches of snow covered the camp, enough for snowball fights or to build the odd snowman, not not so much that it would seriously impede the day-to-day activities.

As they began to trudge their way across the open lawns, the first familiar faced appeared. They spotted Connor Stoll waving at them from the distance. After waving back, they tracked up the hill to the Big House, where they found Chiron in his wheelchair, as if expecting him all-along.

"Annabeth, Percy," he greeted them, as if having expected them all along, his old eyes flickering over their disheveled appearance.

Annabeth and Percy exchanged a glance before stepping forward.

"Morning, Chiron," Annabeth greeted, brushing a strand of hair from her face.

"Morning," Percy echoed. "Nah, we got here just fine. No incidents."

Annabeth and Percy exchanged a quick glance before the daughter of Athena turned her attention back to the old centaur. "So, I am under the impression you ran into some sort of problem?"

"Yes," Chiron said. "You remember Drew Tanaka?"

"She is hard to forget," Percy said, earning himself a disgusted snort from Annabeth.

"Yes, Ms. Tanaka tends to leave an impression. And so here we are..." Chiron said, sounding tired and weary.

"What did she do?" Annabeth asked curiously.

"I fear she has gone back to her old ways," Chiron said. "And unfortunately, my attempts to rein her in have been less than satisfactory."

"Isn't Piper still councilor?" Percy asked.

"Ms. McLean isn't around too much currently, and in the absence of a dedicated councilor, Draw has been spreading her wings again, I fear," Chiron said.

"So, what do you want me to do? Threaten her with violence?" Percy asked.

Chiron chuckled drily. "No, that I could almost certainly do myself."

"Chiron..." Annabeth suddenly exclaimed, looking at him scandalized.

Somewhat perplexed, Percy raised an eyebrow. Fortunately Annabeth lifted the mystery. "You aren't expecting us to drag her off, are you? What? Add her to the collection of malcontents in our basement?"

Percy was both pleasantly surprised and alarmed. Pleasantly surprised that Annabeth saw his crib/stash-place for women as her home, and alarmed at the prospect of dragging another person off to stash at said stash-place.

Chiron sighed, the lines on his face deepening. "No, Annabeth. I am not suggesting that at all. But Drew is causing trouble, and it's disrupting the camp's harmony. I need you two to talk to her, understand what she's up to, and, if necessary, convince her to step back. Your... unique position might be the leverage we need."

"Unique position?" Percy echoed, feeling a bit uneasy. "You mean my status as a god?"

"Precisely," Chiron confirmed. "She respects power and influence. If anyone can persuade her to stop, it's you. Besides, I recall she fancied you at some point? Maybe that will help," he said and looked at Annabeth pointedly.

"She did?" Percy asked blankly.

"I might have or might have not convinced her that pursuing you is bad for her health during sparring while you were at school,..." she admitted sheepishly.

"Oh," Percy said, both flattered and concerned. Then that was Annabeth's version of courtship for you, both flattering and concerning.

Chiron continued, "I'm confident in your ability to handle this diplomatically, Percy. Annabeth, your support will be crucial."

Annabeth sighed, running a hand through her still-damp hair. "Alright, we'll talk to Drew. But if this doesn't work, we'll need a more permanent solution."

"I trust you both to do what's best for the camp," Chiron said. "Thank you."

With a nod, Percy and Annabeth left the Big House, heading towards the Aphrodite cabin where Drew was likely holding court. As they walked, Percy glanced at Annabeth. "You really threatened her?"

Annabeth shrugged. "I was just making sure she knew her place. Caught her telling some of her mates how she was going to steal your heart. Now that is not something I could let happen after dancing with me during the winter."

Percy cocked his head slightly. "That is both concerning and flattering," Percy voiced his earlier sentiments. "Do you really think I would have just started going out with her?"

Annabeth looked at him skeptically. "You were a single horny teenager, babe. Are you telling me that if Ms. Charm-speak Supermodel Drew had hit on you, and we both know she can flirt, and offered you to play a round of hide the cucumber, you would have turned her down?"

Percy rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a bit sheepish. "Okay, maybe I would have been tempted. But you know, you're the one who stole my heart, Annabeth."

Annabeth gave him a sidelong glance, a small smile playing on her lips. "Well, you better remember that, Seaweed Brain. Let's go deal with Drew. Worst case, we drag her off and gift her to Apollo for his birthday of something. I don't want to put up with her face every day."

As they approached the Aphrodite cabin, they could hear the sound of laughter and chatter. The cabin was, as always, impeccably decorated, with pink and red flowers blooming around the entrance despite the cold weather. Percy and Annabeth exchanged a look before stepping inside.

Drew Tanaka was lounging on a chaise, surrounded by a group of her cabin mates. She looked up as they entered, her eyes narrowing slightly when she saw Annabeth. "Well, if it isn't the happy couple," she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Silena Beauregard

There was definitely an odd clash between her and Sally Jackson. Not necessarily something bad. Both of them had simply grown accustomed to being the women of their house. While certainly an antiquated concept, it was still undeniable. This was her domain in a manner no other women in this house could claim, not even Annabeth. Or, she was just trying to convince herself how great being a housewife was without even having a bloody ring to show for herself.

Silena bustled around the kitchen with practiced ease. As she flipped the pancakes, she cast a glance towards Sally Jackson, who was gently rocking baby Estelle in her arms. Juniper was standing in a corner, drinking a fruit smoothy of some sort, observing the followings with quiet amusement.

"Silena, dear, you really don't have to do all of this," Sally said, her voice warm and kind. "I can help out more."

Silena smiled, a soft, knowing smile that held a thousand unspoken words. "It's no trouble at all, Sally. I enjoy it. Besides, it keeps me busy."

Sally returned the smile, but there was a hint of something else in her eyes—perhaps curiosity, perhaps concern. Silena knew that Sally understood more than she let on. After all, Sally understood her world a lot better than most, and she was providing an easily observable case study.

As Silena set a plate of pancakes on the table, she noticed Paul Blofis watching her. He had a thoughtful look on his face. Considering all the crazy shit he had been through since falling in with Sally, he was remarkably well put together. Just as she emotionally settled in for what was certainly going to be a quiet, relaxed morning, the entire house shook as an explosion lit off somewhere above her.
