As soon as Ciana was back at the dorms she was doing much better, her smile came back and hasn't been so distant now. Right now she was on one of the couches in the dorm writing in her own notebook, having a smile on her face as she was writing down more of her thoughts and connections.
"Whatever happens… whether I'm meant to be with Izuku or not… I'll always stand by his side as long as I'm allowed to, until then… I hope I don't ruin anything I'm not supposed to." She writes in her book, today sure was a crazy day with the media and the crowds… but glad Iida was there to calm the situation.
"Hey," A gruff voice broke that serenity as Ciana craned her head back to meet two scarlet eyes. "Outside, now," With nothing else to say, Katsuki wandered off to the front doors of the dorm.
"Huh?" Ciana blinked her eyes in confusion, this was the first time Bakugo wanted to talk to her… she was surprised but didn't reject it. "Alright then…" she closes up her book now, slipping it back into her bag as she now gets up to follow him outside.
Once the front doors were closed, Katsuki leaned against the nearest pillar to glare at her, "What the hell has Deku told you about his damn quirk? Of anyone else in this class, you'd be the one he'd croak to,"
Ciana sure wasn't expecting him to confront her about Izuku's quirk, she was surprised by the question and wasn't sure how to answer it. Part of her actually wanted to tell Bakugo, but… it's important to Izuku and All Might for her not to say, she just gave him an odd look as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Like I said, I just found out he had one after the battle test. Izuku said he inherited it from someone… but he didn't say who exactly, I figured Izuku had a reason not to say so I just didn't pry on it…"
She tells him, but she could guess it wasn't enough to satisfy his question.
His eyes narrowed slightly, then he scoffed, "Sure, whatever," He didn't sound like he believed her, going to return to the dorm until the door opened, revealing the greenette in question.
"Ah, h-hey, Kacchan, Ciana?" He looked confused to see the latter here before the blonde shoved past him.
"Out of my way, nerd," Katsuki muttered, tucking his hands into his pockets as he left their sight.
"Uh... what did I miss?" Izuku's head zipped back and forth between his girlfriend and his former childhood friend.
"Not much…" Ciana had a feeling he wouldn't let what happened completely go… now she was concerned again what Bakugo will do to get the truth out of Izuku. "He tried asking me about your power… I guess he wanted to know how and why you have something so strong now."
"If he didn't question you further he might think you're in on my 'lie'," He quoted but soon returned to his passive smile. "In any case, would you mind coming with me? It's about that theory I had about my power and yours,"
"He's definitely very observant…'' She narrowed her eyes at the direction he went, but then was a bit surprised by Izuku's turn to take her next. "Oh right, where do you want to go test this? Would it be safer back in one of our rooms?" She asked, knowing how big of a secret this needed to be kept.
"Uh, p-probably not, I-I really don't want to explain why there's a human-sized hole in the wall to Cementoss," Izuku sweat dropped, then, taking her hand, led Ciana away from the dorms and into the small forest that faced them.
He looked around the trees, seeing no sign of the paths anymore after a good eight minutes of walking aimlessly through the relaxing ambient woods.
Ciana guessed he planned to power up if he had to go far to do something like that… Now being guided to the woods, she looked around as they wandered a bit far, she didn't think he wanted to go into the woods especially in the dark.
Her eyes landed back on Izuku as he guided her. "What's going on Izuku? What exactly do you have planned to come out here?"
After a minute more, the orange sky was revealed, the dusk of the woods surrounding them as orange light struck the wide clearing around them. "We should be roughly in the middle between all the pathways so unless you were wanting to take a shortcut between the dorms and UA you'd never know we were here." Izuku smiled at his forward thinking, turning to Ciana. "Right, so I've been thinking, please, describe to me how it feels when you use your quirk, every detail possible?" He brought out his notebook in preparation.
Looking around more, Ciana blushed a bit at the idea they are all alone together… she felt pretty flustered that anything could happen… her eyes meeting back to her boyfriend, Ciana cleared her throat to avoid any stuttering. Now placing her hand on her chin in thought. "Well… whenever I power myself up I feel a burst of energy charging me up and also like I have super strength, I sure felt invincible back when I fought those robots."
She still couldn't believe she managed to do that, sure was a crazy fight. "Also I barely feel any pain or weakness when I'm lit up, though the longer I use it when I dim down afterwards… that's when I feel pain and weak again." She described so far. "When we kiss though, I… well…" this part made her feel flushed, looking down with a shy smile and her hands in her hair.
"I-I feel like a strong warmth rushing up in my body… that part is a little hard to explain…" just mentioning that made her cheeks redder, pressing her fingers together awkwardly.
"A-ah, right, I-I remember that," Vividly might Izuku add as his face grew a little red but he quickly put those thoughts aside. "Okay, um, that feeling when your power rushes through you, how does it feel? As in, when it's concentrated into one part of your body, what's the sensation like?"
"Um…" she tried to think more on her power, even Ciana couldn't understand it at times. "It feels… kinda hot and tingly, in a way like I could do anything…" Ciana tried to think harder, crossing her arms while looking down with her brows narrowed. "My body felt kinda light… Whenever I feel determined I forget I took any damage at all, it does give me some confidence I need to push forward whenever I use it. When my eyes glowed I barely felt anything when that happened… I haven't even figured out what that was supposed to mean."
Izuku finished writing it all down but looked down as he closed his book. "...there has to be something I'm missing here..." He shook his head to himself, pacing. "Our quirks resonate so there's some trait I'm not picking up on, or is it simply I feel empowered when a large amount of Aura's energy resides in me? I can't just test a full punch or flick and risk destroying my bones again... think Izuku, what are you missing?"
He couldn't place it. Was he stuck at this dead-end forever? Everyday the rest will grow stronger while he's picking up the pace on desperate attempts with his health.
"Hm…" Ciana had a theory herself what they do whenever they kiss… she recalls her eyes light up at times when she feels strong emotion, could that possibly do anything? "Um… would it help if I transferred some of my power to you when you power your quirk up a bit? Maybe just feel what it's like before you even launch an attack? Or…"
She blushes a bit red as she begins to rub her arm anxiously. "What if we tried… doing that experiment we did before… would that help more…?"
Snapping out of his mumblings to hear her out, Izuku's cheeks glowed slightly under the orange sky as he looked around, of course no one was around, but he still felt nervous... but maybe now that he had the chance to experiment it could work. "I... i-if that's okay?" Why was he so nervous? They've done this before, hell, he instigated it a few hours ago! "I'm such a wreck, I can't tell what's morally right anymore...!"
Ciana was pretty flustered about the idea too, but not like she didn't like it… despite feeling so shy her gaze lifted back up, she smiled and nodded to show she's okay with it. "I-I'm fine with it… as long as you are." She responds, her hands go behind her back, stepping a bit close to get into position. "Unless… you want to try something else if it's too much?"
"N-no! I, um... okay, one sec," He took a breath, then silently screamed into his hands before exhaling. "...right, not dreaming,"
His action made Ciana giggle at his weird way of handling the mere idea of kissing the same girl he's already kissed several times now. The pair stepped closer as Izuku held her offered hands, then, Ciana leaned up slightly to kiss his lips, this time, a shimmer of gold spreading from her lips to Izuku's as he held the kiss a little longer than planned, that intense heat coursing down his body. But now, the same sensation flowed into Ciana as the feelings were reciprocated with her quirk, causing her eyes to twinkle like stars when their eyes met. Again, enrapturing the greenette.
Even if this was supposed to help with his quirk… it just made their kiss feel really nice and perfect… her heart was even racing, Ciana forgot what they were doing for a moment… pulling away slightly, her eyes slowly opened up to meet back to his own beautiful eyes. Cianas own eyes were lighting back up in the night, her cheeks turned pinker and a shy smile rose back to her face.
But strangely… Ciana began to feel weak… she felt almost dizzy as her legs suddenly gave out… her knees now hit the floor and had to use her arms to hold herself up, maybe panting a little bit… confused what suddenly happened to her…?
"C-Ciana!?" Izuku knelt down to hold her arms as she stared at the grass for a moment. "W-what happened, did you overuse it? H-how?" He blurted out, feeling highly energized like last time.
"I-I don't know…" she responds weakly, her head lifting a bit to show the light in her eyes dimmed down. Feeling strangely tired… her head hung back down as she felt too weak to keep it lifted, her hands went up to Izuku's arm to try and balance herself….
"It doesn't make sense, the other times were just the same, I never activated my quirk when you transferred energy to me, so what's causing my body to take so much from you? Or... were you giving me all of it subconsciously?" Izuku suggested, brow furrowed.
"M-maybe…" she responds, now leaning her back against a tree, her eyes opened up half way to meet back up at him. "I-I might of by accident… I-I'm not sure." She panted more as she spoke. "S-sorry… I-I'm not sure what I did wrong… but it looked like it at least helped boost you a bit more…" she weakly smiled.
"Yeah..." While he worried for her health, Izuku stood back up so as to not waste her given energy. "It's strange, even without my quirk active it feels like it is in a way? Like a state in between that's... all over my body..." His heart skipped as his breath hitched. Slowly, Izuku stood back as he stared down at his hands with wide eyes. "...that's it, I'm... I'm like a lightbulb!" He beamed.
"What?" Ciana chuckled, despite feeling weak she had some energy left to stay awake. "What does being a lightbulb have to do with your superpower?" She asked with a tilt of her head and a raised brow. Izuku sure had funny ways to analyze things but she was glad she's helping him out, she thinks…
"A-All Might said my way of interpreting my power was okay, o-or he was humouring me," Izuku briefly hesitated before his face contorted in concentration. "All this time, I've been flicking my power on when I needed it, but in reality, I shouldn't be turning it off at all in those moments, just like with how your power covers you and the people around you, I need to keep constantly pumping out power into every inch of my body!"
His face got a little sweaty as Izuku clenched his fists, pushing his power to spur to life as the red veins etched across his legs to his chest and arms, all the way to his face as the pressure caused his clothing to billow slightly. Izuku trembled a bit, forcing out his power as a burst of emerald light enveloped him, the veins disappeared as he stood tall, his eyes taking on a mint-green pigmentation as his skin appeared a little brighter as stray bolts of mint-green light struck across his joints.
"The limit my body can handle Five Percent!" Now all that gathered energy that Ciana gave him made sense. "I-I realize w-why now... I-I was draining you b-because my q-quirk was trying to fill in the empty space t-that I couldn't, now, I can maintain that output!" He struggled to speak. "T-though it's a l-little hard to move like t-this!"
Ciana began to worry when she noticed his power going on… but just seeing the way he was looking with it had her eyes go wide in awe. "Whoa…" she whispered out as she stared at him in his power up stage. But she couldn't stare for long as she grew concerned if he'd hurt himself again…
"Izuku… b-be careful what you do!" She says as she tried to stand back up… she had trouble getting up but she wasn't going to sit back and watch him possibly hurt himself, Ciana limped over to him and took hold of his shoulders to keep herself balanced, her gaze looking up at Izukus in worry. "A-alright! Y-you made a little progress, but don't overdo it…" Ciana could actually feel how strong his energy was not only seeing how it looked up closer but how much of a rush it felt when she held him.
"I-I've got it, trust me," He flashed her the biggest smile to date, bearing his teeth as he carefully removed her hands, helping her lean against the tree again before stepping back. Turning, he clenched his fists, and with his right drawn back, Izuku swung with all his might. "Smash!" The fist moved much faster than before. A few more swings and Izuku realized that his agility had gone up a staggering amount.
Turning to a tree to the right of Ciana, he pushed off his left leg, clearing the gap in seconds before twisting his body to slam his left knuckle across the bark, tearing a chunk off its surface; to his joy, he didn't even feel any recoil. "I-It worked! I can control it!" He jumped around, leaping a few feet higher than normal as he stumbled upon touching the ground. "Woah, haha, so my physical abilities have been enhanced just like All Might... and only at around five percent...!"
He turned to Ciana, running over to grab her into a tight hug, his energy cutting out as he let out a breathy laugh. "It worked! Your quirk is amazing Ciana!"
Ciana definitely was quite startled to see Izuku do those powerful attack moves, the way he did them was incredible… unlike anything she's ever seen in comics or movies, Ciana was very worried Izuku ended up hurting himself again after that… but seeing no burn mark on him had her relieved but amazed it didn't harm him this time, Ciana smiled and giggled just seeing him so excited and perked up happily. "I never seen him look this happy before, I really helped him keep it under control?"
She was quite surprised and almost startled when he ran over and embraced her quickly, making her cheeks turn red from the sudden embrace. But Ciana smiled more for Izuku seeing how happy he was and wasted no time wrapping her arms around him back, laughing a little as she did. "My quirk? Are you kidding? Izuku, those attacks you did were incredible! I hardly even recognize you when you did those moves!" She comments with a wider smile.
"I always knew you were strong but seeing you like that just made you look even cooler!" She cheered, but also blushed a little more by his own praise of her power.
Pulling back, Izuku wore a big, confident grin as he held his hands against her forearms, laughing slightly. "I-It was so obvious and I never put it together, but when I kept thinking about your quirk and how that excess energy just dissipated when I wasn't fatigued, it kept me wondering if that was a clue to controlling my power, and now I have that answer," It felt like a breath of fresh air. "Thank you, Ciana."
"I-it was nothing… really." She smiled and blushed redder from the sudden praises, playing with her long strand of hair flusteredly. "I-I'm just happy I could help, but I'm sure you would have figured something else out if you didn't use my power."
"But I'm glad I did, because... I got to figure it out with you, and it may not seem like much but that means a lot to me, just like when All Might helped me achieve a huge step of my dream, you helped make it easier," Taking her right hand, he tugged it slightly. "Let's head back before anyone asks, you need to rest after draining so much stamina yourself. Can you walk alright?"
"I'll be honest… probably not…" Ciana still felt too wobbly and drained from the power transfer… being so flustered now just added to her dizziness from his flattering praises, looking away a little to smile happily knowing she could help Izuku keep it together. "My legs still feel drained so I don't think I can walk right…"
Hearing this left Izuku with one alternative, moving in front of the ravenette, he knelt down with his back to her. "Hop on,"
She blinked in surprise from the gesture, smiling wider at this as she wasted no time to hop on his back. Appreciating the offer, feeling very warm in her cheeks as she had her arms around his neck now. "Thanks Izuku, though… won't everyone at the dorm wonder why you're suddenly carrying me? This could lead to some concerning questions about what we been up to…"
Ciana blushed more at her theory, knowing some of the guys and the girls would suspect they did something romantically secret together.
"W-well, then I'll just have to take an alternate r-route," Izuku managed as his heart skipped at the mere idea of them sneaking away to do something romantic. Before Ciana could inquire further, her grip tightened as Izuku forced out One For All across his body, those reddish lines vanishing faster as emerald bolts took their place, and he suddenly felt electrified. Wrapping his arms under her thighs, Izuku bent his knees and with a single bound he shot through the forest, the wind catching in their hair. "It's still tricky to move, but I only need to do the essential movements to clear the trees, plus, it's good practice!" "Hold on tight!"
Ciana had no idea what Izuku planned on doing, when he suddenly got powered up and got moving had her not only startled but shrieking a little. Her grip around him tightened as he got moving, she can't see how this would be easier to avoid people seeing them when he's causing a commotion. "I-I hope you know what your doing Izuku!" She quickly says, her eyes shutting tightly in a bit of fright from the sudden speed, this was just so bazaar to her.
Izuku brought himself to a halt at the edge of the trees, taking a few looks, good, no one was around. Then, analysing the distances between the trees to the hedge and the balconies, he gripped Ciana tighter while trying to ignore the blood running to his cheeks at how soft her thighs were. Bending forward, he leapt low, strafing to run alongside the hedge before hopping up and over it, avoiding the windows that peered out into the garden as he banked right to wrap around the dorm. Spotting his room's balcony, Izuku knew this was a gamble so he paused.
"Okay, I need to exert more force into my hands as a brace against the wall while maintaining a hold on Ciana." It was easy enough, he hoped, otherwise she'd probably throttle him. Taking a few steps back, Izuku did a running start and leapt to the balcony, swinging out his right hand to hook around the edge while holding Ciana with his left arm wrapped under her thighs. With a grunt, he hoisted himself and her over, immediately releasing OFA to pant, having suffered a little strain from the new sensation. "O-Okay, still tricky to use in complex movements but I can work on that, y-you okay?"
Ciana might be blushing incredibly red by the way Izuku was touching her as the feeling gave her goosebumps… her eyes shut tightly to avoid making a sound, answering his question as they reached up she quickly nods her head, looking away very flusteredly and embarrassingly. "Y-yeah I'm fine… t-that sure was an interesting new way to practice your power…" Ciana rubbed the back of her neck very anxiously, her face still very red.
But then her blush dimmed down just a little as she held concern for Izuku after that build up, Ciana placed her hands on his shoulders to look him over to make sure he wasn't hiding any broken bones. "What about you? That was a bit of a rough way to get up here… are you alright?"
He too felt flustered too despite how often she hugged him. "I'm fine, I-I'm just not used to moving a-around with this new mobility, and again, i-it takes a bit for me to continuously use One For All like this," But again, he looked reassured at this new development as the sun finally set. "Finally, I have a real start line for my quirk, and already five percent's a massive overhaul of my previous feats."
She sighed in relief knowing he was okay… but he wasn't off the hook yet, stepping back with her hand on her chin to look him over… Izuku looked okay but knew he probably hid his injuries to not make her worried further. "Well that was definitely a good start if you avoided getting hurt, especially the way you got up here with me on your back…" she giggled after saying that.
"Still… I think we should check you over just in case after that, even if you look fine right now I want to be sure that power up didn't make you suffer any damages somewhere again…" she was pretty firm on that, worried for his well-being still despite feeling a bit weak.
The greenette had nowhere to go as his back inched against the wall, smiling nervously while heat ran to his face again. "I-i-it's okay, really! A-and you're the one w-who's exhausted, you should b-b-be..." His words crumbled as Ciana ignored her deflections to grab his left arm, pressing her fingers across his muscles, then the same with his right before she slithered her hands to glide down his sides and press to his chest down to his abdomen, muttering much like Izuku would as she analysed the feeling of his muscles beneath his shirt. "Oh my God, what do I do!? What do I do!?" His whole head was bright red at her prodding.
Ciana was pretty flustered herself checking him over like this, she felt almost like a perv… especially remembering how strong his body looked on the beach… shaking her head to try and get rid of the dirty thought, Ciana pulled away a little to try and focus back on why she was doing that. He didn't seem to be showing any painful reaction from when she touched him but it was hard to tell by how flustered he was… it made it difficult for her to tell if he was hurt or not.
Sighing… Ciana knew he probably faint over this idea but at least they are in his room so if he does pass out she can just place him on his bed. "It's really hard for me to tell if you're really okay, Izuku… I'm going to need you to take your shirt off." She suddenly demands with her hands on her hips, it'll be easier for her to tell if she spots any red marks.
"We can do that inside so we better go in before anyone spots us up here." Ciana turns around for a moment to try and see if his balcony door is open…
While she was successful on this front, Izuku was having a mental breakdown. There were steps to this, right? Guidelines two people in a romantic relationship follow? He wasn't sure what was right or wrong anymore as she asked that of him. He followed her inside, shutting the door only to wave his hands. "Y-y-you don't need to go that f-f-far, I swear I'm-"
Her glare met his emerald eyes dead on, she was absolute on the matter. Once more, it wasn't just himself he was concerned with seeing his bare chest, rather, the girl who obviously was a complete wildcard to Izuku. Sure, he was muscly but not bulky yet he felt self-conscious that he wasn't... well anything to look at. Stomaching both his embarrassment and his negative thoughts, he relented a sigh. "Okay... okay, b-but only for a second,"
While Izuku took a little time to himself to panic on the inside… Ciana was a little distracted by his bedroom… noticing he had All Might… everywhere, his walls, his desk, even the floor and bed. Just seeing all this merchandise had Ciana see how big of a fan Izuku truly is of the guy… this bedroom looked like a shrine, Ciana burst into a fit of giggles as she forgot she was going to check him over but just for a moment. "I-is this really your room? Wow… you worship the guy more than I thought…"
Ciana giggled more, it was really cute and sweet how much Izuku looked up to his hero. He is just so cute… her cheeks were so pink from laughing but it wasn't in a bad way.
"Well I-I'm a big fan of his work, s-so it's... really always been l-like this," Izuku closed his eyes for a moment of self reflection. "At least she's not insulting me or thinking that I'm a weirdo, but now I've got this revelation and the fact I'm taking off my shirt in front of a cute girl, yep, nothing in my life prepared me for this series of events,"
Reluctantly, Izuku pulled off his shirt, rubbing his neck awkwardly as he refused to meet her gaze. "Just... p-please make it quick, the b-blood's starting to rush to my head, I think?"
Back on the topic, her gaze met back to Izuku when he began to take his shirt off… he couldn't see since he was avoiding her gaze but her eyes went wide just seeing how his body looked up close… it was different seeing it in a distance but up close like this… her heart felt like it was going to burst just taking the time to admire him with a red face… shaking her head again to get her out of her daze, she tried to put her serious face back on as she tries to keep focus on what she is trying to do. "I-I'll try to be…"
Gulping, Ciana stepped close to check him over more closely… she eyed his arm, his chest and his back… so far she didn't see any red marks. That is a relief but it's still best to be sure… quickly and lightly she felt around his arm and his sides for any reactions… doing these methods was very embarrassing for her too but she has to admit… he really felt so strong and toned… Ciana almost was getting dazed again just admiring him like this…
"There's a girl touching your bare skin, nothing to worry about," Izuku rationalized to the last semblance of his brain that functioned. "Just a cute, adorable girl who happens to be with you romantically as of yesterday. A smart, talented, wonderful... oh I'm screwed," He let out a hopeless breath, twitching when her cool fingers grazed his skin. Her touch was delicate but firm. Distraction! That's it. "S-so h-how do you k-know w-what you're looking f-for?"
"Hm…?" O-oh! Um…" Ciana panicked a little realizing she was dazing out, Izuku pulling her out of her thoughts as she focused back on looking for injuries. "I-I recall that whenever you break your bones you leave a large black and red mark, figured that is a good sign for me to tell if you're injured." She tried to make sure she eyed him more closely for painful reactions. "But even if I don't see any at the moment I'm also trying to detect any painful reactions from you too, speaking of that how are you feeling? Anything hurt or feel sore anywhere I touch?" She asks as she keeps eying his skin, at least keeping it together enough to show concern for his well-being still.
"Not, r-really, like I said, i-it's more I'm not used to constant u-use of my quirk, like the breathing technique, w-whereas you've had several months to apply Aura to your b-body," Izuku replied, then cleared his throat. "A-and those 'markings' are broken bones turning my skin purple from bruising, t-the red lines you probably saw w-was how One For All looks visually, o-or until now."
"Huh… I see…" Ciana did recall those linings she thought looked pretty concerning and painful… Still, the way he powered up like that looked amazing… when he's not looking incredibly injured he looks… so… Ciana didn't have the right words yet to describe how he looked but she was speechless… and just seeing his body like this adding to it, he really just surprises her in so many ways. "T-that looked a bit scary to do… but I have to admit you looked powerful in that moment… but even if you didn't have that power… I could already tell you're strong and amazing enough, you're just… breathtaking yourself." Ciana admits with a warm smile and a bit more red in her cheeks, he really is going to make a great hero.
"U-using my own words against me, haha," Izuku sighed a small smile, rubbing his already red cheek. "Thank you, that... really does mean a-a lot to me."
To ruin the awkward yet tender moment, a knock chimed at Izuku's door. "Midoriya-" Crap, it was Iida! "-are you in? Dinner is coming up, don't be late. Hm, are you in?" He knocked two more times.
Quickly, Izuku waved his hands at the door. "Ye-yes, I heard you, t-thank you!" He squeaked out.
"Very well," Though muffled, they heard his footsteps walk away. Giving them a moment to breathe again as Izuku lost the last of his strength falling to sit on his bed with whine.
"That was too close..." He wouldn't be able to explain what he would've seen, even if Izuku was used to it. Thankfully, Iida wasn't one to just barge in.
Ciana was quite startled and panicked when Iida called, she was just about to hide in the closest until Izuku managed to make him leave. Sighing in a huge breath of relief, glancing back at Izuku who was now sitting and whined a bit. This situation just made her chuckle. "Sorry… I guess that's my cue to leave, your body looks alright so I think you really did manage to keep it together with no injuries, at least I hope so and didn't miss anything…"
She looked away again as the heat began to rise back in her cheeks. "Though someone outside might notice me if I just walk out now… should we wait a few more minutes before I take my leave?" She now asked, worried what the guys might say if one of them notices she came out of Izuku's room… knowing the guys, the pervy kid and his blond friend probably pester Izuku what they were doing if they saw her in his room.
"Hm, good call, let's give it five minutes, then if anyone asks, you stopped by to see if I was ready to head down," He rationalized quickly.
"Good plan." She nodded, but after checking him out like that she wasn't sure what to say afterwards… her hands now behind her back as she kept her gaze away, still very pink in the face. "So… is… this how we're going to help practice your power now? I mean going into the woods to do more improving…?" She starts up a conversation to try and ease any awkwardness.
Throwing his shirt back on, Izuku gave it some thought as Ciana took a seat next to him. "Well, maybe if its us and All Might in terms of discussing the finer details of One For All privately, but otherwise, utilizing this in training tomorrow will be a good way to test my limits, though I'm staying at a comfortable five percent until I can manage this new increase to my physical capabilities,"
"I think that's a good idea." Her eyes now back on him as she sat next to him. "Now that we know what we're dealing with, starting small will be a good approach before leveling up more." She smiled, now her hand going on her neck anxiously as she looked down to her lap. "Though… do we have to tell Mr. Yagi we found a way to help your power by using… our personal method…?" She now asks shyly, bringing that up to anyone would be incredibly embarrassing even for the hero to know.
"Maybe n-not to that extent... yet," Izuku replied slowly, smiling bashfully at his lap. "W-when we want to, we'll give him the full extent when we're comfortable, or rather, you are since it's your power," He also wanted to keep this between them for now, being public about not just their bond but the method in which Izuku achieved this new control.
"R-right…" she nodded quickly, smiling sheepishly now. "I-I kinda rather that's only between us anyways… though I admit I'm surprised that it worked." Ciana ended up laying her back down on the bed as she stared up at the ceiling. "It felt so weird the way I… transferred energy into you, it's a little scary but I felt like a charger when I did that." She giggled. "But it also made me wonder if there's more I could do besides charging someone's stamina back, I mean… what exactly would happen to me if I did something wrong…?" Her expression now turned a little worried for herself, the way she felt so weak after doing that with Izuku.
"Well, I think there's two big factors about your quirk," Izuku began, raising one finger. "For one, your idea of a charger isn't half bad, what I theorized back in the woods was that your quirk the other time we've k-kissed to bolster my stamina was already refilled, but in the woods I was willing to use my quirk afterward, so I believe that because I had the intention of using my quirk in conjunction with yours caused an abundance of energy to flow into me to compensate for the empty space my quirk hadn't filled out, I've been using my power at its max but only in a certain part of my body, so your quirk was trying to rectify that problem, hence why this time you suffered a severe loss of stamina."
Ciana glanced back at him as she still laid flat on his bed, giving him a funny smile now and a raised brow. "You managed to figure that all out during one practice?" She giggled again. "Wow Izuku, you really are amazing." Her smile widened. "You almost make it sound like I complete you, though I wonder how you would be able to figure out another way without using me to help you?"
Now curious about her presence here more. "Knowing how smart you are, you'd probably find another way in no time without me. But I'm still happy to have been able to do something to help make you the hero you always want to be…."
He passed her his own funny but warm look, "Maybe, but sooner rather than later, right?" Then he perked up. "Oh, and this summary was based on all prior knowledge to your quirk since its discovery, I just compiled my notes to make it easier, haha... as for the second point, well, this one's been proven. Your emotions,"
"I don't know to what extent, but heightened emotional levels play a huge role in your quirk's effectiveness, when you're overly positive your quirk reaches a new level of potency that just standing near you granted me some strength in the mock battle with Kacchan, and your irises look like glowing stars, as for negative emotions, I'm not sure what that could do. Maybe weaken your quirk, or are emotions like anger and desperation enhancers too?" He scratched his cheek, clearly needing more answers before he could conclude that thought.
"Huh… my emotions have an effect on my powers?" Taking in what Izuku was telling her… she stared back up at the ceiling to think it over, letting out a hum as she thought. "I guess that makes some sense… I remember when you, uh… caught me singing…" she went back to blushing just remembering that embarrassing moment. "You said my eyes lit up then, it's funny how I never noticed until then… besides when we had our first kiss…"
Despite being flustered at the memory, it brought a smile to her face. "Standing in the dark with my eyes like that was embarrassing since I didn't have any control over it, especially that I ended up looking like a flashlight… Bakugo probably would laugh if he saw me like that." She laughed a little just imagining his reaction but would be embarrassing at the same time.
"I... thought you looked beautiful," Izuku stared down at her, not an ounce of doubt written on his face. "I'm actually happy I got to see them glow again."
Ciana sure wasn't expecting to hear him compliment her like that… causing her to be a bit surprised as her gaze turned back to him with her cheeks reddening and her heart racing, she stared up at him for a few moments in silence… Just staring up at him seeing that look he was giving her was making her feel so funny inside… especially the way he commented about her eyes. "Y-you…"
Her head turned a little in a very shy manner as she was in her own bashful and shy state right now. "Y-your the only one who can make me light up like that…" Ciana whispered out shyly, smiling little as she really did think of him as the light of her life.
"R-really? Well, I-I, uh, guess that makes sense, I-I was the one w-who, um..." His eyes kept glancing back at her lips, then away to think of anything else. Logic stands it was due to their intimacy now that caused this reaction in the first place, but really, Izuku just wanted to show Ciana that she wasn't just some mishap, that she was okay with wanting to be close to him. Because really? He wanted her to.
Ciana giggled a little at his usual bashful state, her hand suddenly reached to hold his warm hand, squeezing it a bit as she smiled more towards him. "You might find this weird of me to say, but I always thought your eyes were beautiful too…" she admits as her heart rate quickens just saying. "I noticed your eyes glowed in a fierce but beautiful way when you powered up like that, but… before I started noticing that I could always see the soft warm kindness in your eyes… whenever I see them I feel I have nothing to be afraid of…" Ciana squeezed his hand more after saying that, finding Izuku's appearance just as stunning.
Really? His were beautiful? Izuku blinked a few times, unsure of what to say other than to be grateful. Maybe it was just his lonely state of being a teenager, or just his head buzzing with stupid, incoherent thoughts, but he really wanted to kiss her again for no reason in particular other than to show affection. Her hand was soft in his palm, and how she smiled was infectious to say the least. "I, uh... happy that you feel t-that way, n-not really something I'd think about myself being very striking, all things considered."
Ciana always thought he was beautiful in his own special way, maybe not too many people would see that but to her he's unlike any guy she's ever known, she started to sit up as her head laid on the back of his shoulder… her warm smile rose more as the grip of her hand in his tightened. "I really mean it… you're amazing Izuku." She whispered out, her eyes closing and her smile stayed to take in his warmth of being so close to him…
She was so close now, the warmth spreading across his entire body. She wouldn't mind, right? She had her eyes closed as Izuku inched his head around, nearly bringing their lips together again-
Another round of knocks were at the door, this time louder. "Yo, you comin' or what, Midoriya, Finley? And don't lie, we know she's in there - well, I do, call it a sixth sense for this sorta thing, so unless you wanna explain why you two are hiding better make tracks!" The boisterous tone belonged to Ashido, and the two immediately separated, with Izuku falling off his bed.
"...ow..." He huffed but was fine, more so the moment was ruined.
Ciana immediately stood up in a panic when she realized she forgot the time, her face so red right now just finding out Ashido knows she's here in Izuku's room… she had no idea what to do without making this situation look more embarrassing for her to spread this kind of gossip to everyone. "Shoot! I-I forgot the time!" She shouted in a whisper as she stared at the door.
"W-what do we do? S-should we really give ourselves away more?!" She had nowhere to go except the balcony… wondering if she can make it look like she wasn't in his room at all to make Ashido think otherwise…?
"Ashido's sharp if she figured you're in here, or she already tried your room," Izuku whispered back, biting his cheek a bit. "I don't really think there's a safe way out of this, I-I'm a terrible liar."
Her fist pounded on the door again, "Come oooon, I won't say a word just let me have my moment! I swear, not a thing..." Both shared a glance, then stared at the door again as they heard the pink girl sigh. "...okay, so some of the girls might know - but that's it, hell, you two could be nothing something boring and I'll take it, just lemme iiiin!"
At this point, Ciana couldn't take the embarrassment of this girl peeking in on their privacy… her face becoming even redder and without thinking Ciana ended up dashing to the balcony door in a panic, opening it and quickly but quietly shutting it as she hid outside…
Ciana didn't want to risk her presence more and especially embarrassing Izuku with the news getting out towards his friends… she went as far to hide against the wall and even prepared to go over the balcony if she tried to peek outside… thinking she could use her quirk… taking a deep breath, Ciana started to glow as her stamina rose… opening her eyes back up, she quickly stepped onto the railing as she boldly… made a long jump down, her feet managed to touch the ground without injuring herself from the long jump…
Izuku didn't even realize it before he saw the whip of raven hair disappear, followed by a soft huff of a landing. He sighed in relief, knowing Ciana was okay he went to the door, swinging it open as Ashido's fist was an inch from his face. She grinned ear to ear, then it fell as she looked around at Izuku's room, putting aside how... All Might fanboy radiated from most corners, the girl huffed. "Okay, what gives, I swore she was here?"
"C-Ciana went on a walk, I-I haven't seen her," It was brief and would hopefully keep her off the trail.
Thankfully, Ashido groaned and rubbed her neck. "Fine, I give, sorry..." Then she perked up, looking around quickly. "But hey, be straight with me, you totally like her, right?"
"W-well of course I-" Her hand cut him off.
"Romantically, Midoriya, get with my program here," But seeing how pink his face was told her it may be true. So she squealed quietly, dragging him along with her for dinner. "This is so exciting~! So-so-so, how do you feel around her, when did you start feeling this way, come on, just between us."
"And the girls?" He added nervously.
"Eh, details," She shrugged, patting his back. "Look, I won't spill but just tell me, do you?"
"...yes, I do," He murmured, he really, really did like her.
"Hehehe, so cute! Okay, okay, I'll hold off... for now," She winked. "Now move your butt, Iida's distracted so if we're quick he won't blow a fuse. Guess being Class Rep's gone to his head a bit,"
"I-I'll do my best to help as Vice then," Izuku managed a timid smile. Ashido was love-obsessed but she was respecting their privacy for the time being which he was thankful for. "And... t-thank you for... n-not going to say anything,"
"Huh? 'Course, I love romance between friends but everyone works at it in their own way - but hey, say the word, and I'll pitch in to help you catch that girl's heart!" She grinned away.
"Thing is... she's already got mine wrapped around her finger," Izuku realized how hopeless it was to resist.
As soon as Ciana made her jump… she exhaled in relief as she stood up. "I cannot believe I just did that…" she says in a bit of a shaken manner, glancing up toward Izuku's balcony, she smiled with her hands on her hips. "At least I managed to slip away for the time being… but thank you Izuku for giving me that idea about the jump."
She says as her smile rose more and a happy blush on her cheeks, knowing he wasn't there to hear her but will have to thank him for real later as she recalled the way he moved when he was powered up a while ago. "Hopefully I didn't freak him out too much when I jumped like that… Okay! Better make my appearance before the others worry!"
Ciana now got moving as she started to make way to the front of the building in a dash, recalling what just happened between them as she got moving… the way Izuku held her and got to observed his muscles, even being in his room when they almost kissed… what would've happened if they never were interrupted…? Ciana paused to think that over, blushing incredibly red at the very idea of them getting carried away… "N-no!" Ciana slapped her burning cheeks.
"G-get those thoughts out of your head! N-nothing else would have happened!" Ciana never felt so drawn to Izuku like that, especially when she got to touch his skin… the way his muscles felt… "T-that's enough!" She scolded herself with her eyes shut tightly, her heart racing more just overthinking it. "I-I gotta get something to eat… maybe I'm still more woozy than I thought… I'm surprised I can even walk again after before."
Her blush stayed on her face for a while as she continued her trek to the front of the building, making a mental note to focus back on her studies when she gets back to her room after dinner to avoid her dirty thoughts coming back…
