A/N: Elizabeth did not destroy her studio in this story.
"Elizabeth, wait. Shit!" Jason throws some bills on the table and runs after her.
Elizabeth runs out, and Jason follows. Elizabeth walks to her old studio and looks at the building where she spent her late teenage years to early twenties living and painting. Jason catches up to her. "Elizabeth, are you okay?"
"Just reminiscing."
Jason stands behind her. He raises his hands to touch her, but he stops himself. He walks to her side. "I have a lot of memories there. I didn't realize it until years later, but I was falling in love with you. You were too young and still grieving, Lucky. That's why I didn't act on those feelings."
"I'm not sure how I would have responded. I had those feelings, too. I would have felt guilty."
"Then there were the times when we came close, but Lucky got in the way."
"Yeah, that was my fault; guilt and obligations; it took me years to realize I didn't owe Lucky for what he did for me after my rape. The same hasn't happened for you."
Jason nods, "Sonny and Carly."
"Jason, why are we rehashing the past? It hasn't changed the fact you walked away. Don't give me the danger crap. You choose Sonny and Carly over me and your sons. This time, when you returned, I thought I saw something different in you. I was wrong. You tried, but your obligations always went back to anyone but me and your sons."
"Elizabeth, Sam's, and Monica's death has changed me. I moved into the Quartermaines because Sam wanted Danny and Scout together. Danny wanted to include Rocco. Dante and I discussed the situation and agreed that I would move in and keep everyone together." Elizabeth scoffs. Jason continues, "Drew and I grudgingly agreed to put aside our differences for the children's sake. But Monica kicked him out after the video reveal."
"Then you took off again. "Why did you leave with Anna to find Charlotte? Charlotte isn't your daughter. Why do you take off with Anna when she calls? Much like you used to do with Sonny and Carly." Elizabeth yells, "You have sons that need you, yet when Anna calls, you choose to do her bidding."
"Elizabeth, it's not that simple. I owe her."
"You fucking owe your sons first!"
Elizabeth turns to leave, and Jason grabs her arm, "Please don't go."
"Fine! Tell me how you plan to make it up to Jake and Danny."
Jason explains his plan, and Elizabeth suggests coming to dinner to try his plan on Jake and Danny.
