"I can see why he wanted to fight Broly." Bonyu spoke with a look of awe as all fighting ceased on the ground, everyone looking up as both Broly and Meruem made the ground tremble with their ki.
Paragus on the other hand frowned as he focused on Meruem's energy, noting that it was still a bit more unstable and chaotic even when compared to Broly's chaotic energy radiating in the air.
'So, you're still holding back, huh Lord Meruem?' The Saiyan thought as Meruem rolled his neck, his arms out to the side with a smirk on his face while Broly clenched his fists at his side.
"Attack when you plea-" Meruem was cut off by Broly appearing in front of him and punching at his throat, but the clone smirked as he pushed the Saiyan's fist to the side while spinning on his hand and landing a heel kick the Saiyan's back.
Broly tanked the blow and spun around with a backhand to Meruem's chest, the clone surprised as he felt pain from the attack that launched him back before grinning as he flipped just in time for a fist to slowly draw closer to his face.
"Instant Transmission." With a simple thought, the clone was gone and behind Broly with a leg raised high, the Saiyan surprised and confused at where his foe had gone before gasping as an axe kick sent him blasting head over heels towards the ground.
However, instead of letting him crash into it, Meruem disappeared with another teleportation and appeared behind Broly with a fist pulled back, grinning in excitement as he watched the Saiyan around to face him with his own fist back before they both punched forward.
"Go!" Bonyu shouted as the two beasts clashed, the other soldiers flying away as fast as they just as a monstrous shockwave rippled from their fists and over the vast area that was their training ground.
"Holy crap." Garana muttered as he watched Lord Meruem crashing into the ground while Broly was sent spiralling further up into the atmosphere right before he heard Lord Meruem roar and his ki exploding into higher heights.
"Kaio-ken!" Meruem roared as he shot up out of the dust cloud and towards Broly who had just managed to reorient himself, the Saiyan's eyes widening as he looked down to see dozens of Death Beams flying up towards him.
However, as he crossed his arms in front of him to block the attack, he frowned as he heard the blasts simply flying past him, quickly dropping his arms to stare in awe at the Death Beams surrounding him from all sides.
"Hellzone Grenade!" Meruem growled as he swung his arms inwards and the orbs all flashed before Broly erected a ki barrier just as explosion after explosion obscured him from view.
As soon as the last explosion stopped, Meruem didn't waste any time as he appeared in front of Broly with another Instant Transmission, the Saiyan punching outwards to catch him only for Meruem to parry the blow to the side while landing his own kick to his side.
Flipping over the Saiyan trying to grab him, Meruem spun through the air before landing another axe kick, but this time, he made sure to teleport in front of Broly and land a vicious elbow to his gut, spittle flying from the Saiyan's lips as the wind was knocked out of him before Meruem grunted & sent him blasting back with another ki blast to the chest.
The clone however knew that was not enough and spread his arms out wide, sparks of yellowish-blue lightning rippling from his body before grinning as he pointed his hands at Broly with the palms facing towards the Saiyan and his wrists against each other.
"Final…KAMEHAMEHA! / RAAAHHH!" Meruem and Broly roared as they unleashed their attacks, a bright beam of blue covered in sparking lightning rising up to the sky as a brilliant emerald green beam roared while descending upon it.
"Brace for Impact!" Paragus shouted as he crossed his arms in front of him, the others doing just as he ordered right as the two beams clashed and unleashed a catastrophe upon the planet.
The ground under the attack cratered for miles and hurricane levels of winds erupted from the impact as both fighters continued to fuel energy into their attacks, Meruem gritting his teeth as he felt him slowly pushing back Broly's energy before grunting as the Saiyan simply pushed him back by adding more energy into his beam.
'Need to divert it away.' Meruem thought to himself as he slowly lowered one arm, forcing through the pain on his mind as he felt the bones of the hand still keeping the attack up creak and groan before growling as he condensed even more energy onto the free hand he had pulled back.
"Big Bang Kamehameha…x5!" Meruem roared as he slammed his second attack into the first and grinned victoriously as his blast quadrupled in size, Broly's eyes widening as his energy blast was completely ripped apart before blinking as he found himself standing on the ground.
Looking back up at the sky, he watched as Meruem's hurricane of energy flew past where he previously stood out past the atmosphere and into the void that was space.
"I win." Meruem spoke with a smile as he tapped Broly's shoulder while appearing next to the Saiyan, amused at the look of surprise and awe on the Saiyan's face while also hiding his own awe at just how powerful the Saiyan was.
While he was not pulling out all the stops since most of his attacks also aimed to kill his opponent, he was still trying his best to knock out the Saiyan and for him to have struggled with that showed just how much raw latent potential the mutant Saiyan had.
'If I can awaken in him the Saiyan's thirst for battle & training, he may become the second strongest being in the universe after me…and also Beerus, Whis and Prime. Hmm, I wonder what Prime is up to actually.' Meruem thought with a hum as he looked up at the sky before shaking his head.
His mind needed to be on this planet and not another one.
"Incredible. I must admit I had slight doubts that you could handle Broly at his strongest, but I see my doubts were wrong." Paragus spoke as the Frieza Force soldiers slowly floated down to him and Broly gave a sheepish smile while Meruem simply snorted.
"As if that was his strongest. I could feel that he was holding back somewhat just like me. I assume the power he held back had to do with the collar around his neck, right?" Meruem asked and hummed as Paragus nodded while Broly looked dejected.
"Indeed, my lord. My son Broly was born with the ability to harness the power of our Oozaru transformation without needing to transform into the giant ape-like form. However, this also forces him to experience all of the anger and rage that one would expect from someone unused to the transformation."
"And since you're incredibly far weaker compared to him even in his base state, you could not train him to control it, correct?" Meruem spoke with a hum, nodding at Paragus' nod before turning to where Bonyu and Garana were still staring in awe along with the others.
"Garana, you will have to stop your training for now. I want you and your team to find me twenty planets in the surrounding solar system that has either no life or no intelligent life. Paragus, I want you to write me a manual that shows how Saiyans can train to control their Oozaru state."
"Does that mean…" Paragus asked with a hopeful look and Meruem nodded with a smile as he patted the confused Broly on his back.
"Indeed, it does. When Garana is done with his side of the work, you and I will be taking Broly here on a training trip to teach him how to control not just his Oozaru state but also teach him and you on how to become Super Saiyans."
"A-And what of me, my Lord?" Garana asked and Meruem chuckled as he nodded.
"I have not forgotten you, Garana. When you are done, I will personally teach you that technique I used to double my power. Also, Cheelai and Bonyu, since you two managed to hide your energy the longest and sense me at my lowest respectively, I will be teaching two techniques of my own to you two as well. While Paragus and Garana are busy, though, you can bring her up to your level, Bonyu." Meruem spoke while looking at the two ladies, to which the red-skinned woman smirked while Cheelai paled considerably.
"Um, t-that's okay, my Lord. I-I'm fine with being an intelligence officer."
"Nonsense! Don't you worry, Lord Meruem. I shall have her in fighting condition by the time you are ready to teach us." Bonyu said before she flew away with a shaking Cheelai, Meruem simply blinking before glancing at the others who shrugged.
"Ahem! Okay, the rest of you! I find that having a strong foe forces one to rise to a new level to beat them, so you all will be splitting in groups of ten…and you'll be fighting against myself and Broly here."
"W-We're okay with having one on one training matches, my lord. There is no need for a being such as yourself to bother with us lowly peons." One of the dark-spotted aliens at the front spoke with a nervous smile and the rest of the group nodded before they froze as Meruem chuckled and waved his hand dismissively.
"Nonsense. I have nothing better to do with my time and Broly here doesn't mind, do you?"
"Not at all." The group gave a collected groan at Broly's happy response and Meruem stifled his chuckles as he nodded and turned back to them.
"See? Now, Broly, would you like to go first or se-!"
"Lord Meruem!" The clone ignored their sighs of relief as he looked up in the direction of where the voice came from, frowning a bit at the orange-skinned humanoid alien with his woolie hat descending down towards them.
'He looks familiar. Wait, wasn't he the guy that was with Cheelai when they found Broly? His name is…'
"Lemo, correct?" Meruem spoke with a smile as Lemo landed next to them, the alien looking surprised to see his Lord knowing his name before smiling happily and nodded.
"T-That is right, Lord Meruem. Lemo, veteran officer of the former Frieza Force and now member of the Intelligence Agency, sir!"
"At ease, Lemo. So, what brings you here?" The clone asked and Lemo's eyes widened before he nodded and brought out a circular disk with light shining in its centre, Meruem frowning slightly as a 3D hologram appeared in front of him before his eyes widened as he watched a familiar figure hugging a Namekian in front of a dome-like house.
"I have come to report that the individual known as Granolah has finally landed on the planet Cereal and has taken a 3 day vacation from his bounty hunting job."
"When was this recording taken?"
"An hour ago, sir. We tried to bring it earlier, but had to use backdoor lines to make sure Cooler and his men did not find us."
"That is more than okay, Lemo. Well done." Meruem said with a grin before Broly blinked as the clone turned and patted him on the back.
"Looks like you'll have to train them on your own, big guy. I have an urgent thing to take care of."
"Do you need help?" Broly asked and Meruem was touched by the immediate look of concern in Broly's eyes as he chuckled and shook his head.
"No need, but if I do, I'll just teleport back and come grab you, okay big guy?"
"Okay. So, I should hold back against them?" Broly asked while pointing at the group of soldiers in front of them and Meruem hummed as he looked at their pleading looks before smiling and nodding.
"Yeah, we don't want the men to be paste on the ground before we can take revenge for Frieza and kill Cooler & his forces. However…" Broly stopped walking to the group to give Meruem a confused look, the soldiers looking just as confused before they paled at the familiar sadistic smirk on Meruem's face as he spoke.
"Don't hold back too much. The Medi-Pods are active and we made a few dozen of them so having a broken arm or leg wouldn't matter much."
"Got it." Broly spoke with a grin before he launched himself towards the group, Meruem smirking while Lemo winced as they watched Broly bulldoze through the soldiers like they were nothing before the alien turned to the clone as he cleared his throat.
"Now then Lemo, let me see if we can't transfer that information into a ship that will take me to the planet."
"A-As you wish, my lord."
"So, can I ask something?" I asked as Towa and I rode the airship through the skies of the First Demon World, smirking slightly as she simply hummed to show that she was listening.
"What was your relationship with Mira, exactly?" She glanced at me from the corner of her eye before giggling as she shook her head.
"You don't have to worry about him ever coming back to kill you or something. I see all of my creations as my children and I make sure to not give them the capability to reproduce or a way to give them meaning to do so."
"I was more worried about the fact that I might destroy your prized creation if he does come back, but that does set my mind at ease. So, is Glorio supposed to be his clone as you said?"
"Not clone. An upgraded and superior version that's able to use both magic and ki and with free will to make his own decisions, unlike Mira who depended on my orders until the last few moments of his life and was unable to use anything but ki to fight."
"Hmm, I see. I'm guessing that magic can only be used by those that have a soul then, correct?"
"Why would you say that?"
"From your words of calling Glorio the upgrade and from what I've seen since I've met him, he has his moments where he shows emotions such as amusement, joy, nervousness and anger unlike Mira who I know is a stoic rock that only knows anger. That and from what I can remember of Mira, he is just like me but with a technological brain, which means that he can only use calculations and logic to move through life unlike Glorio and I who most likely have the same brain as him but with the added addition that we know which decision is the right one logically and which one is the right one emotionally." I answered and she simply smirked before a giggle escaped her lips.
"It appears that the scientific world is calling your name, Mr. Cell. Might I ask if you would like to join us on the side of logic and chemicals?"
"Unfortunately, I'll have to decline. I like not being a robotic being who cares about my inventions first and everything else second."
"You will find that your inventions are likely not to betray you as well."
"Speaking from experience there, Ms. Towa?"
"Oh, definitely. My three best friends tried to sell me out to my father three hundred years ago during the war in order to get a good position in his court. Unfortunately for them, I had spy devices planted on them and caught the three of them off-guard before they could execute their plan."
"And I'm guessing they're dead?" I asked before chuckling as she simply gave me an amused look.
"Not in the slightest. I have them stuck in my lab in an illusion seal where one second outside is a hundred years inside of it along with the most vile and deranged beasts in the Third Demon World that I could find. What about you? Any betrayal stories you liked to share?" She asked and I blinked before frowning slightly.
"Not exactly betrayal to be honest. When I first awoke, I wanted to get the Z-Fighters' help in absorbing #17 & #18 and then I would just leave the planet. However, it turns out that the Z-Fighters don't like working with anyone that isn't at least half human."
"They attacked you."
"First, Piccolo. Then, Vegeta and then Krillin of all people chopped me in half."
"Did you at least kill them?"
"I didn't exactly care for Piccolo and I just shattered Vegeta's neck and spine as payment for him tormenting me. As for Krillin, I absorbed his life energy and kept him inside of me for three days before I finally let his soul free."
"That's…really mild, actually. If it were me, they would have been tied down naked to a breeding pole and I would have had an army of Minotaurs had their way with them until I grew bored of watching it."
"…You know that you are one scary lady, right?"
"I do, but like I said, you have nothing to worry about. I find you…calming and amusing at the same time." She said with a smile and I caught the hint of amusement in her eyes as I simply sighed and shook my head.
"Why did I think it was a good idea to squeeze your ass?"
"Because you apparently still have the Saiyan's need to procreate. I do not blame you, though. It is one of the best behinds in the universe." She said matter-of-factly and I blinked at that before giving a nod of agreement.
"That…is true. Huh, who would have thought that I would get to touch the behi-!"
"Must you two talk of behinds like this? Urgh, it gives an old Namekian like me nothing but a headache." I nearly jumped out of my skin as I heard a voice behind me, quickly spinning out only to blink in shock at the sight of a frowning Neva sitting in the backseat whilst glaring at me.
"Neva, glad to see you find a new body for your soul to inhabit!"
"No thanks to your boyfriend here! Do you have any idea how long it took me to make it to a safe body without getting eaten by one of the beasts around here?" I blinked as my mind read through every single memory of Neva before a groan escaped my lips as I found the spell he used.
"Astral Projection? Why do you need a spell for Astral Projection?"
"Because I like to be prepared and apparently, it's my being prepared that saved me from being devoured by you for all of time. Who the hell eats someone when you've just met them?!"
"You looked creepy and suspicious and I don't like creepy and suspicious people around me!"
"Says the guy that devoured Majin Buu! He is the embodiment of creepy and suspicious and now you are too!"
"Oh, now you've crossed a line, Namekian. Want me to blast you with one of your spells?"
"Oh, try your luck, Djinn." Neva growled as his eyes glowed with a gold hue, to which I grinned as I felt my ki rising before I blinked as I found myself staring out at the window, hearing Neva's grunt and turning my head to see his chair turned around.
"I do not mind you two bickering, but no fighting allowed inside my ship. If you want to fight, do it in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber."
"It's the Room Beyond Space and Time. How many times do I have to tell you this, Towa?" Neva asked as he spun back around and I smirked as Towa rolled her eyes.
"Oh, shush you. Now, get ready. We're here." She said and I watched as we began to descend into a canyon that stretched for kilometers, numerous lights activating on the outside of the ship and lighting up the area around us.
"Left." Both Neva and I spoke before both of us smirked at his huff as Towa giggled whilst turning left, right into a tunnel before landing the ship inside of it.
However, as we exited the ship, I was in awe of the hundreds of runic sigils all around us, slowly spinning to look at them all before I bore witness to a set of double dark oak doors at the end of the tunnel with gold linings on the doorframe and edges.
Right on its front were a large demonic crest, runic sigils spreading out from its centre and branching out until the entire door was covered.
"So, who is going to deactivate the seal?" Towa asked as she looked at us and I kicked Neva towards it before he could speak, the Namekian glaring at me as I shrugged.
"I don't know if I even got all of your memories, so you might have hidden a spell inside of the spell." I said and he frowned before huffing as he walked towards the door.
"Smart bastard." I heard him mutter as he placed a hand on the door and I smirked as I saw even more runic sigils appearing on the walls & door, watching as they all flashed gold before being drawn right towards the door.
It took barely a second before all of the runes had condensed in an orb-like shape in Neva's hands, a hum escaping my lips as I watched Neva absorbing the orb before I raised an eyebrow as I felt his magic nearly doubling in potency.
'I see. A spell that seals off an area to everyone in exchange for it constantly being fuelled with half of your magical power. Not bad, Neva.'
"Do you have any memory of that spell?" Towa asked and I shook my head before we turned as a sly chuckle escaped Neva's lips.
"Hehehe~ Of course, you don't. My most powerful spells are etched into my very soul and only when one can fully absorb my being will those spells be shown to them."
"…You are one fucked-up Namekian." I said before shaking my head as Neva simply cackled at my words, turning to Towa who looked amused as she tapped her finger against the orb on her staff.
"Oh, are you two done bickering?"
"For now." We both answered in unison and she rolled her eyes before Neva blinked as she pointed her staff at him.
"Start walking in. I don't trust you as far as I can throw you and I can throw you damn far."
"Of course, princess." Neva spoke with a nod before walking in, Towa glancing at me as I shrugged and bowed to her with a flourish.
"After you, dearest princess."
"Don't push your luck, Cell."
"Wouldn't dream of it." I said and she smirked as she walked after Neva just as he opened the door, to which I took a deep breath and looked at the white void beyond the doors before nodding as I took my first step towards it.
Time to finally get my memories in order.
A/N: Firstly, I just realized how much I've been talking about the memories. So sorry about that, but Cell is now longer talking it so much so you guys don't have to suffer through that.
Anyway, Meruem is on his way to Granolah and Cell Prime is now entering the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. How will their missions go and will it go smooth?
You'll have to find out next time on Dragon Ball: Perfection? Not For Me.
Also, the fight between Broly & Meruem was merely them testing each other out while trying to beat the other. They weren't actually going all-out or else they might have destroyed the planet & everyone on it.
P.S. the War will start after the Granolah mission but it will be Meruem leading it and not Cell. Just to clarify that part.
Like always, you can go to my Pat-reon-.-com-/-KingCrimsonNova to read ahead on this as well as many other stories & even some that haven't been released out to this site yet. If you want to, you are free to, but if you don't want, all's good as I will still be uploading here. This is just me trying to get some extra cash.
As always, read, enjoy, review and until next week...
Ba-Bye~!
