The following are some of the things that happened in the first week of living in the Spirit Mansion.

Marina started early on her job every day. While Maria had been programmed to be more serious and a proper AI assistant, Marina was programmed with the particulars of Shido's situation in mind, meaning she's more prone to mischief and such.

That said, since they both use Realizers rather than normal processor units, they are well beyond the reach of normal AI. In fact, Maria did pull Marina back when she went a bit overboard, but also some of Marina's behaviour was starting to rub off of Maria.

Knowing all that and after hearing what Marina suggested Kotori do, Maria's reply could only be one thing.

[No, Marina. What should be done is this.]

Maria took Marina's idea and adapted it. Although Marina was a bit surprised, Maria had a higher level of command to act as a suppressor on the cases Marina went a bit overboard, so she couldn't say anything back.

Kotori listened to what Maria said and nodded, although her cheeks were blushing.

She understood the importance of these events to get Mio to approve the mission to rescue Beelzebub, but more than that, she didn't want to feel like Shido was leaving her behind. Although they had a brother-sister-like relationship, Shido was also Kotori's first love. For her, this whole thing was basically an elaborate way to show her feelings.

She had confessed to Shido a while back, but it seems he either forgot or ignored it. In that case, she needed to take a more aggressive stance, and this was just fine.

Having made her decision, Kotori went to take care of her business first thing in the morning. After washing herself and putting on her uniform, Kotori went up to Shido's room to get the event started.

Normally, waking up Shido is also the privilege of whoever spends the night with him. Having cleared the first step, Kotori began to prepare herself. Marina also made her preparations.

One day, Shido simply figured he should invite Tohka, so he did. To be fair, he was planning on taking a stroll with her later and making this a proper date, but it took longer than expected, so those plans had to be canceled.

They held hands as they walked, they really seemed like a proper couple. People looked at them and Shido felt really proud at the fact that a beauty like Tohka was accompanying him.

They enjoyed a nice walk back to the Spirit Mansion. Once they entered, they quickly began to put things in order. Maybe no one had come back yet or maybe they were all doing something, but they didn't see anyone on their way.

Because of that, Shido felt a little playful. After he finished putting things in place, he walked up to Tohka and embraced her from behind.

"I was planning for more, but did you enjoy our little date, Tohka?"

Overall, it seemed like a pretty normal thing, and Shido didn't think any events would happen. It seemed like it would be just some time for them to talk to each other a bit.

But Marina had different plans.

[Looks like the first batch is finished. Before you put the second batch in, why don't you put in the clothes you're currently wearing as well? It'll save you some trouble later.]

Before Shido could complain about it making no sense, Origami and Kurumi quickly began to take off their clothes and throw them in the pile along with the others. Mildred also simply shrugged her shoulders and did the same.

And so, the first week of living in the Spirit Mansion passed. Despite what it may have seemed, things were developing in many ways, and with each day Shido and the girls got closer to being able to save Beelzebub.
