Prompt: "I don't give a damn."

"You give so many damns they're visible from space."

Prudence "Pru" Beck was doing her best to just read her book and ignore everyone around her. Which was a bit hard since she was currently sitting in one of the booths at McRory's Pub behind Nate, Sophie, and Starke, who were getting ready to hand over the Klimt to their clients and then give Starke the Van Gogh. Well, not the real one; they had used that to help the authorities catch Chaos, but Starke didn't need to know that. Sighing, Pru placed her bookmark on the page that she had been rereading for the past half hour or so and put the book down for the time being.

Looking around, she saw Alec picking up a couple of drinks at the bar before she heard Parker say, "go." Furrowing her brow, she quickly found Parker and Apollo racing to see who could pick a lock the fastest. Rolling her eyes, Pru looked around again before picking up on the conversation coming from Eliot and Mikel.

"I can top that." Pru watched as the female hitter pulled her shirt to the side at her neck to reveal a scar on her shoulder. Apparently, the two hitters were comparing battle scars. "Frag grenade, Somalia."

Eliot proceeded to pull up his sleeve to show a scar Pru knew was on the underside (his back was towards her so she couldn't actually see his expression). "Myanmar. Sniper."

Pru saw a smirk form on Mikel's face and rolled her own eyes, crossing her arms as she did so. "I was a sniper in Myanmar for a while."

"When?"
"2003." Mikel proceeded to pull out the handcuffs that Eliot had used to "bring her in," causing the other hitter to begin to splutter, attempting to get her to put them away. Alec just so happened to walk by them at that moment.

"Handcuffs. Y'all nasty."

Pru frowned deeply as Alec continued towards her, frowning himself at the look on her face. Setting one of the drinks down in front of her and sliding into the booth across from her, he sighed. "You should really say something."

The manager furrowed her brow, finally tearing her gaze away from the hitters. "What?"

"You should talk to Eliot about your jealousy."

Pru scoffed. "I'm not jealous. And I don't give a damn."

Now the hacker scoffed. "You give so many damns that they're visible from SPACE."

Pru rolled her eyes as she downed the drink in front of her and began to slide out of the booth. "Whatever. Come on, let's go over and help Nate and Sophie."

Alec sipped his drink and shook his head as he slid back out of the booth. Pru was definitely in denial about her feelings for Eliot (the hitter was too), he could just tell. Alec smirked. He was just going to watch those two dance around each other for a while. This would be interesting.
